We were completely obsessed with Claire and her entire team. From day one, they were so incredibly talented and trustworthy that we were able to truly relinquish control and let them run with it -- and that made the entire experience completely stress-free. Because of them, we actually got to enjoy our engagement.
They are as professional as it gets while somehow also becoming lifelong friends along the way. They stayed within our budget (and actually came in under budget), which allowed us to make updates and enhancements we had only ever dreamed of. Their creative vision is extraordinary, and the way they brought that vision to life was truly unbelievable.
They planned and executed three events for us, and every single time we walked in we were completely blown away. We were in total awe. Even when unexpected challenges came up -- things no one could have planned for -- they remained calm, cool, and collected and that energy rubbed off on us.
On Friday night, my fiancé even stepped on glass and needed stitches, and the team could not have handled it more flawlessly. They took incredible care of him while flawlessly keeping the party alive until he got back from the hospital. It was as impressive as it gets and somehow turned into one of the best nights of our lives -- only rivaled by our wedding day, of course.
Every single vendor recommendation they made was exceptional. Truly flawless across the board. I honestly could not sing higher praises. They are perfection, and we feel so lucky to have had them by our side. We will be friends for life. WE LOVE YOU CLAIRE & TEAM!! -

Claire and her team played a pivotal role in designing, planning, and executing every aspect of our destination wedding weekend in Charleston, SC. I personally promise you that you will never find a more dedicated, tireless, caring, committed, and talented team than Claire Duran Weddings and Events – her whole team, Maja, Rafa, Eli and of course, Claire pour their heart and souls into their work to ensure your wedding is beyond your wildest dreams.
During our wedding, instead of thanking our guests for coming, we started first and foremost with Claire and her team. Our wedding day turned out to be something we couldn't even fathom despite the year plus we spent planning it.
You truly could NOT be in better hands than this team. We are forever indebted to Claire and her team, and grateful to know we now have true lifelong friends after this experience.
We planned a full 3-day event with a boat party to an island, welcome party and wedding that had EVERY detail perfectly thought out thanks to Claire and team. We would not have changed a thing!

There is one word to describe Claire and her team – AMAZING! From the moment we did our zoom meeting with Claire to meet her we felt like we had known her for years. She made us feel like we were more then just clients and that she had our back for our entire wedding planning. We worked with Claire and her team for over a year planning our special weekend in the Dominican Republic and they made everything seem so easy and seamlessly. They did an amazing job bringing our vision to life and exceeded everything we dreamed of. With a 400+ guest list it was not an easy job to coordinate everything and have everything run so smoothly. Claire and her team made us feel so important and special and relaxed the entire weekend which was the most important part. Claire’s expertise and attention to detail surpassed what I thought I knew a wedding planner was supposed to do. They were more than event planners!
I have been invited to many big time affairs in my life! Yet I must say the three day long event that Claire and her team so beautifully orchestrated for my daughters destination wedding in Casa de Campo was definitely the best celebration I have seen yet. The subtle care to each detail-- the manufacturing of the vision I had architecturally and consciously created in my mind was brought to life. I wanted an experience for my guests. A daily build up over the three days. Like a play - you so enjoy the acts and then you have the climax. Through music, lights, food, fire and ice we were able to create something off the charts. It was all accomplished because Claire and her team were open minded and methodical - they went out of the box with me. Their creativity, knowledge of how an event should move seamlessly and attention to detail helped make the best wedding in the world. -

I cannot say enough good things about Claire and her team. They were always incredibly responsive and helped make our wedding day so smooth and stress free. She was able to design and execute a wedding even more fabulous than I could have ever imagined. Even though planning a destination wedding came with a lot of challenges, including a date change due to COVID travel restrictions to Europe, Claire was always on top of communicating with the venue and vendors. She was able to help us smoothly navigate moving everything back a year, and she even quickly resolved finding a new baker when our wedding cake vendor was unavailable at the last minute. Day of everything went perfectly due to their diligence and professionalism. I would recommend them to anyone looking for wedding design and planning. -

Absolutely Must Hire!
Claire, Maja, and the team were extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. My husband and I have very demanding work schedules, and they were always willing to work around that. From the very first phone call with Claire, I felt so comfortable with her and trusted that she would take care of everything. The team listened to all of our ideas and helped me create a vision of our wedding that was so perfect. They are so organized and keep you on track with vendor deadlines.
On the day of the wedding, Maja and the team were just amazing! Many of our guests came up to us to compliment how helpful they all were and to let us know what a beautiful job they had done. Maja kept us all on schedule, but didn't make us feel rushed at all. They handled EVERYTHING! I got so many stories the day after the wedding of hiccups with guests and the weather that happened that Maja and her team took care of without me even noticing! We didn't lift a finger! Every bride's dream!
I am so happy that we found CDWE randomly scrolling through Instagram very early on during the wedding planning. We cannot ever thank them enough for making all of our dreams come true and for planning, designing, and executing the most special day of our lives. Summarizing working with Claire and team for 10 months is almost impossible! These ladies are the most talented, hard working and lovely women I have ever had the pleasure of working with. CDWE has every vendor contact you will need through the process who are also amazing at their respective craft. Claire planned three event for us: welcome party, rehearsal dinner and the ceremony/ reception at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic. One was more breathe taking than the last. I hope they are in business for a very long time because I’ll be needing a CDWE anniversary party! -

I could fill a novel with the amount of accolades I have for Claire Duran Weddings & Events & her team! They not only made my daughters wedding dreams come true, they made the process stress free. We threw in a few “must haves” at the beginning of the design process that were not typical requests for a destination wedding at Casa de Campo in Dominican Republic- But Claire refused to disappoint us & worked for months searching for a way to make the impossible possible! She listens to your visions & will gently guide you when needed but never make you feel like it should be her way -her vision! She works within your budget & makes suggestions to lower costs if necessary without compromising design. Most event planners are all about their design ideas & their egos… Not Claire! She will truly work with you in a cooperative way & create your ultimate dream wedding! She works with amazing photographers, floral designers & other key vendors- all top notch professionals. It hard to put into words how elated my husband and I are that we got to work with this this team for the most amazing weekend of our lives. We started working with them in mid 2019 for a destination wedding we inevitably had to postpone and ultimately cancel due to COVID-19. They stuck with us and compassionately planned again for our back to back Indian/Beach hybrid weddings, no small task to say the least. If you are someone like me who reads reviews to get an insight into what it would be like to work with someone, please know this review only encourages you to hire Claire and her team, CEREMONIA, for your special day. Firstly, Claire was kind enough to give us our refund due to a family member getting covid and being admitted to the hospital. As you have probably read, some wedding vendors have been harsh when it comes to refunds due to covid, yet Claire without hesitation understood our circumstances and told us we could come back when ready -in which we did! It was such a great way for us to see that we really wanted to work with a team of people who want nothing more than to see us have our special day and are understanding and kind.
When it came to planning, Liz and Claire were open to all my ideas, last minute changes, and on getting more information for me on something if I requested it. They never made me feel like any request was too much - they did offer their opinion, but they always made me feel like I had the final say in what I wanted and when it comes to wedding planning, there’s no better way to go than with a team who truly wants what will make you happy. I would not have felt as confident in my day if I was pressured to go one way or another. They were even open with me possibly going a different route if I did not want to work with one of their recommended vendors -which, their recommended vendors provide the best quality of work (her florist and photographer are the best) and are great people to have been around on our wedding day. There was one vendor in which we had a miscommunication with early on due to covid protocols and her and her team handled it so professionally, in which we were able to learn that it all was just, truly a communication error. It would have felt awful to feel like a special part of our wedding wasn’t important to a vendor, but with the way they handled it we realized every vendor right now has a lot on their plate with navigating new ways of doing things.
Our wedding day was perfect to us and Claire quickly helped out in any way she could and she was truly a reassuring force to everyone with her friendly demeanor and giving a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Liz is someone on her team who I worked closely with as well and when things would get a bit confusing in the planning process (my own head) she was always there to bring things back to order. Liz and Claire are like a ying and yang in which each of them knows how to handle distinct parts of the wedding planning process, and when combined, makes for one truly, elegant experience. I am so happy I got to work with them as they have done nothing but be kind to me during my moments of worry with planning a wedding during a pandemic. It was an intimate affair, and classy, and perfect to us -and we know that’s because of choosing CEREMONIA (Claire & Liz) for our planning needs!

CDWE is the best of the best in the business!
We were so lucky to stumble on CDWE in our search for a wedding planner. Having quite a demanding work schedule, we needed someone who was flexible, easy to communicate with (think 'WhatsApp' for quick/urgent questions), collaborative, a true professional with a huge network of vendors, someone with a keen eye for design, and someone to keep us on track throughout the planning process. With Claire and her team, we got all of this and more! The CDWE team takes extreme pride in what they do, and they worked hard towards meeting our goals and creating a perfect wedding for us based on our vision, priorities, and budget - quite a challenge! In the end, I honestly couldn't imagine our wedding without the help of CDWE. It was a perfect event, with beautiful décor that represented our elegant and romantic style. I would say design and aesthetics is one of CDWE biggest strengths, along with coordination and planning (needless to say). We are beyond grateful for CDWE flexibility (at first we wanted a destination wedding, then we changed to local even five months out, then we changed the timing to about 10 months out to allow more family to attend). They were so kind to accommodate all of our changes and requests. In the end, we truly had a the most perfect and memorable wedding. We highly recommend CDWE to everyone - it's well worth it! -

Dream Wedding
We went through nightmare vendors while planning our destination wedding in the Dominican Republic to arrive at the dream that is Claire Duran! Maja was so sweet and incredibly attentive. If we could do it over again the only thing we would change would be finding them sooner! We were impressed by their organization and use of cloud based tools to map out our ideals from start to finish. Their execution was flawless. Claire is a visionary and brought our dream wedding to life. Maja went above and beyond the call of duty and stayed by our side until the early morning. When I started my destination wedding planning, I was a stressed mess! Then, I found Claire Duran and her team and my mood / feelings completely changed!!!!! Throughout the entire process I was cool, calm, and confident and that is all due to Claire and her team!! From the very first conversation with Claire, I knew immediately that I had to have her as my planner. She gave us a sense of calm and made us feel like we were friends forever from how warm and caring she is. Not only did she always hear my wants/needs but, she also provided us with some amazing ideas/advice/options along the way that always fit into our budget. Claire gave us our DREAM WEDDING that was truly unforgettable!! It was absolutely amazing and perfect in every way!! The décor / floral /sound / timeline / ceremony / musicians etc. all were PERFECT!! Claire made sure everything ran on time and that i had nothing to worry about! I am still stunned and in awe of the beauty of my wedding and all the beautiful details ! We had a rather large destination wedding for the space and Claire came up with a great idea to cover the pool and she made it look so MAGICAL!! My parents, guests and bridal party are still raving about how magical and perfect our wedding was and its all due to Claire and her team! My parents and bridal party loved how Claire provided them with the timeline and kept them in the loop – they literally keep talking about how perfect our planners were and we couldn’t agree more!! If you are hesitant about spending the money to book a planner, please stop questioning and book Claire ASAP because it was 100% worth every penny and more!!! Claire went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. She met with all our vendors making sure they understood exactly what we wanted days leading up to the wedding. She even included amazing details to my escort cards (calligraphy and envelope stationary) free of charge as she knew it was out of my budget but something I was looking into having. I don’t know ANY planner who does that and cares SO much about their clients the way Claire does!!! Claire and team also answered all my questions DAILY and always left me feeling confident that the wedding was going to be great! They truly are the best! Claire really kept me sane throughout the entire process too and we will FOREVER be grateful to Claire and her team. I could not rate Claire and her wedding/elopement planning services more highly. Warm, caring and unerringly thoughtful, Claire truly went above and beyond to ensure we had the elopement we'd been dreaming of.
Even with the limited availability allowed by Santorini's low-season, Claire found us the perfect venue and celebrant (no small ask!). She was there for all of our questions and challenges leading up to the wedding and did everything she could to ensure our elopement was pulled off without a hitch.
We adore Claire and have been raving about her to all of our friends and family!

My husband and I had a half local/half destination wedding in Dominican Republic! He was pretty hands off with planning as some grooms usually are and I was smitten with Claire's work for a few years already so I was certain I wanted to work with her on all of the planning and designing. I had found her Instagram page in 2015 and had been speaking with her now and again about all things weddings since then up until we formally signed a contract to have her as our wedding planner at the end of 2017. That was about two years of following her work on social media and observing other wedding planners’ work as well. When it came time to decide on a wedding planner I remained assured I wanted to work with Claire and her team. Claire is absolutely amazing at what she does. All of the reviews you read on The Knot, on Wedding Wire, and all of the published work you see truly reflects her and her team. She is very organized, very detail-oriented, and very professional. She is kind, sweet, and caring. If anything needed to be taken care of Claire was sure to figure it out. She catered every detail to our needs, our preferences, and even our limitations. We were debating whether or not to get a day-of coordinator for our wedding and decided to hire one after receiving advice from family and friends. It was definitely the right decision! We had done most of the planning ourselves, but we were starting to feel really overwhelmed. We asked our photographer for recommendations and were immediately drawn to Claire's portfolio. From the first meeting with her and Liz we felt so much better -- they were incredibly organized and helped us think through so many details that hadn't even crossed our minds! The big day went so smoothly...and some parts of the day were even AHEAD of schedule!! They were also respectful to our families and traditions -- everyone loved working with them. I don't think our dream day would've been the same without them! -

I truly cannot begin to imagine my wedding day, or the weeks leading up to my wedding, without Claire and Liz. With the two of them, not a SINGLE detail of my wedding day went overlooked. I took comfort in the fact that I was able to truly just relax and enjoy the weeks leading up to our special day, because they were taking that pressure off of us. The day of the wedding - where do I even begin? My parents commented multiple times about their calm demeanors, and I couldn't agree more. Any time I began to feel remotely stressed about anything, I would just look over and Claire and Liz and their calmness assured me that everything would work out. When discussing my wedding, I have been telling everyone I know that hiring Claire and Liz was the best decision I made, and that they were worth their weight in gold. I know sometimes I didn't make their lives the easiest (I'm just the type to ask a million questions, and can be a bit all over the place) - but they handled it with grace, were always so responsive, and always seemed genuinely happy to help. If you hire them, I can assure you you won't be disappointed. -
Kastyn Sent on 06/22/2018Book Claire Duran immediately! Our wedding was absolutely amazing and it’s thanks to her and her team. We had a rather large destination wedding that incorporated 3 different locations for ceremony, cocktail and reception that were all executed perfectly! Everything was flawless from start to finish, guests are still raving about it and we really couldn’t have done it without Claire. She kept me sane through the whole process and even had her brother build me the flower stands I coveted for the tables but couldn’t get in the DR. I don’t know any other planner that was go so above and beyond for their brides. We will forever be grateful to Claire for our absolutely PERFECT wedding!!

Claire Sent on 05/30/2017Claire and Liz were INCREDIBLE. I had thought about getting a day-of planner, but a friend suggested Claire for a month of coordinator. I am SO SO happy I decided to move forward. I am a little bit of a mess when it came to planning and the month of would have been a nightmare without them. They helped with every last detail on the day of and all of my last minute questions. I had so many people amazed at how calm I was leading up to the wedding. This meant that I actually able to ENJOY our big day. They made everything so perfect. You NEED these two super-women to wow all of your friends and family, and keep your day fun! -

Alexandra Sent on 07/05/2017Claire and her business partner Liz were an absolutely invaluable part of our wedding, and I am so happy we found them! They are kind, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, flexible, and a paradigm of professionalism. I asked a million questions, went back and forth on a bunch of ideas, and maybe had a couple of little panic attacks throughout the planning process, but Claire and Liz were always there to ease my worry and assure me that they had everything under control. On the day of, there were a few things that didn't go according to our plan even though they'd been previously discussed, but I'm sure that's just a natural part of every wedding day - things inevitably fall through the cracks, but it's your best day ever anyway. Overall, we could not have done it with out Claire Duran Weddings & Events, and we are infinitely grateful to them for their sound advice, positive attitude, promptness, professionalism, and enthusiasm about working with us. Even though we only hired them for month-of coordination, Claire was always available when I needed to consult her regarding vendor choices many months before our contract period. She sent us little reminders along the way to make us feel welcome and remind us that she was there for us. My husband and I highly recommend Claire and her team for your planning and coordinating needs - you will never question where your money is going, because they work hard for you and make their clients feel important every step of the way. Not to mention, her taste level is on point! WE LOVE CDWE!!!
