I cannot say enough good things about Patrick. He was responsive, professional and a pleasure to work with. He was on top of every detail from start to finish and helped make our special day beautiful. I planned this wedding from 1,000 miles away, working with Patrick on email and meeting in person only days before the wedding. It didn't matter - he is creative and a delightful person to work with. Patrick Martinez of CityIris did an AMAZING job decorating for our wedding! For background, we rented the private Bellacour room in the famous DANIEL restaurant in NYC for an intimate dinner ceremony (35 guests). The objective was to throw a high-class wedding for special people, as opposed to a mediocre wedding for 200 people. It goes without saying that the food was amazing, but I worried that the room felt too "corporate", too "stuffy". But CityIris (who came highly recommended by a friend!) completely transformed the room into a warm and welcoming sanctuary! The transformation was AMAZING! They were somehow able to achieve the PERFECT balance of a simple elegance: GORGEOUS with attention to detail, yet subtle and not over-the-top, and not tacky. Best of all, they were competitively priced compared to most other NYC vendors! (Even though we were on a tight budget, they treated us as their # 1 client.) I am so grateful for the artistic and creative expertise they offered, and for making the whole process stress-free. (Even though cherry blossoms are out of season, he hunted relentlessly for them!!) Patrick was our florist

June 2021- After postponing our wedding reception for 15 months, we were finally able to have the best party with the best florist in New York in June 2021. We knew it was going to be a special day, and Patrick and City Iris were one of the main reasons for it. Six months later, our wedding guests are still talking about the amazing floral arrangements. Our guests complimented the wedding, in part because of the flowers, as one of the “classiest” events they had ever attended. Patrick understood the wedding vision from our very first phone call, and respected our budget throughout the challenges of the pandemic. He also created beautiful flowers for our initial elopement in the summer of 2020. My husband and I have nothing but positive things to say about Patrick and City Iris, and I've got my fingers crossed for an excuse to book him again sometime soon!

July 2020- Patrick has been wonderful to work with since our very first consultation call. He immediately understood my vision, unlike other florists. I was thrilled to see his centerpiece mockups before our wedding. Unfortunately, we had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic. But we did recently have a small ceremony. Patrick was wonderful to work with then. He provided a bouquet and boutonniere. He also sourced a whole new chuppah for our ceremony as well as providing complementary flowers for the reception. He was very generous as our budget was very very small for this unforeseen additional ceremony. My husband and I cannot wait to use Patrick for our upcoming reception.

Thank you so much Patrick!!!!! Ever since we first met I felt so confident my vision for my wedding would be met and it was plus some! Everything was absolutely beautiful and everything was on schedule. Your flexibility with my last minute add ons was stress free, and very much appreciated. I've never once felt unsure or unhappy with anything. Everyone just raved about the beautiful centerpieces, and they all just couldn't wait to fight for the bouquet. I have already recommended City Iris for 2 weddings, and if anyone ever asks me for floral recommendations I will always say City Iris!

Dream into Reality

If you've dreamt of what you expect to see when you walk into your wedding day, I guarantee that Patrick from City Iris will make it seem like you're still dreaming when you walk in.

I am a very visual person, so it was hard for me to verbalize what I imagined in my head. My theme was Winter in Old New York and the best I could offer were adjectives: Classic, elegant, shimmer/sparkle, clean, romantic and warm, which translated into effortless elegance. Patrick did more than deliver, he created a wedding that met and exceeded what I imagined- and then some.

He was enthusiastic, creative, sweet, fun, and supportive. No question or detail was too small, nor did he let me overlook things I never would have considered. He listened, offered alternatives, guided but never pushed, and was sensitive to our budget.

I could speak for hours about the magical feeling of his event design, his eye for detail and his ability to ensure grand but never gauche. The two best testaments I can give about his work is to say that 1) When I walked in, I got choked up by how beautifully stunning everything looked/felt, and 2) My mother walked in not realizing ours was the only wedding that day at the Boathouse and exclaimed "Wow, whose ever wedding this is, they really went all out on these amazing flowers and decorations!" She was more stunned when I clarified it was indeed our wedding.

Patrick did such an amazing job all around, that hindsight being 20/20, I could have eliminated my coordinator. Patrick is more than a florist and/or event designer, he is an artist and a dream whisperer--and now a friend (-: p.s. Effortless Elegance superseded!

Exceptional Work!

As a planner, I have high expectations. And Patrick exceeded my expectations. I can't tell you how many compliments I received - the flowers were stunning in every way. At one point, someone asked me if they could hold my bouquet for me and I said no, that I knew I wouldn't be able to take in the gorgeous flowers much longer and wanted to admire them while I could. My bouquet, was absolutely stunning, as was the cake, the bridesmaids, bouquet, the boutineers and of course, the centerpieces. You knocked it out of the park Patrick! Thank you so so so much!

AN ARTIST AND A PROFESSIONAL

Our evening wedding on December 5 would not have been the same without Patrick. Before I knew anything about the beautiful work he does, he impressed me with his professionalism and responsiveness. New York was a destination wedding for us, with a Christmas theme. Planning it from a thousand miles away was not easy, but with Patrick, everything fell into place. The chapel and reception space were welcoming and beautiful. My flowers were drop dead gorgeous. And Patrick even pinned the men's boutonnieres on personally, to be sure they were right. It is a pleasure to recommend someone who is both an artist and a professional. Thank you Patrick! You really made everything beautiful!

Patrick is AMAZING! After reading WeddingWire customer reviews, I contacted CityIris about providing the flowers for my 3/4/16 destination wedding in Manhattan,NY. CityIris was not the first florist I contacted and after being told that most florist had a $2k minimum (what!?), I spoke with Patrick and he put me completely at ease. After explaining that I definitely wanted flowers but due to that fact that myself and all of my guest are from out of town, after the ceremony everything would basically be trashed so I did not want to spend an arm and a leg on flowers. Patrick completely understood and worked with me to come up with a price that I was more than comfortable with. Patrick is a sweetheart and completely professional and by the end I felt like I was talking to an old friend and I couldn't wait to meet him. Of course, like any bride I changed my mind about things a few times but Patrick had no problem accommodating me and even provided multiple updated invoices :-). He provided my bouquet, my grooms boutonnière, two gorgeous large ceremony arrangements and a handful of centerpieces and everything looked amazing. I would definitely recommend Patrick and CityIris to any bride looking for an amazing affordable florist for her big day. Thanks for everything Patrick!

Must hire- Patrick is amazing!

Patrick is the greatest, his knowledge and taste level are unparalleled. We obviously had to make so many changes for our ceremony considering we were originally scheduled for May 2020. Patrick was highly flexible, adaptable, and was a reassuring light in the midst of a ton of confusion and concern. He worked tirelessly, took on extra responsibility to make the day run smoothly, and our flowers were stunning! Everyone at the wedding commented how exceptional the flowers and decor was- all thanks to Patrick. Can not recommend him enough. Stunning florals

Working with Patrick was an absolute dream! He is so passionate about his work and is a true professional. He really knows his florals and was able to create stunning centerpieces and bouquets for my wedding. From the day I emailed CityIris my vision for my wedding, I couldn't have imagined Patrick and his team was going to surpass my expectations. I have nothing but great things to say about Patrick from City Iris. He is so creative and will definitely work within your budget. He is so much fun to work with, has so many great ideas, and he delivers beautifully. When I first met Patrick, it was love at first site. I wanted to do as little as possible for my wedding, and he did it all. He asked a few questions, showed me a few drawing, described his vision of what I would like, and it worked. Even if I didn't like something, he changed it until we were happy. Our bouquets and boutonnieres were beautiful. Our centerpieces, AMAZING. Patrick was absolutely incredible. I had a very specific, unique aesthetic and Patrick jumped right on board and ran with it. Throughout the process he checked in with me to provide pricing options and made some great suggestions. Patrick provided insights on which flowers were in season and gave me several quotes for things like seating charts and table numbers so that I was making the best decision based off the market options. My favorite thing about working with Patrick was how excited he was in bringing my vision to life. On the day of, he brought me aside between the ceremony and reception and double checked that I was happy with everything. He really delivered on my ask and took the extra steps to ensure he exceeded my expectations. My ceremony, cocktail hour and reception looked even better than I hoped. Working with Patrick and CityIris was an absolute dream. The flower arrangements were stunning yet affordable, and Patrick genuinely listened to what we wanted and delivered bigtime. The chuppah was breathtaking and like stepping into a dream. Patrick also provided succulents and place cards for all of our guests, which came out beautifully. Patrick went above and beyond and met me at the hotel the morning of my wedding to drop off my bouquet; he even cut part of my mother's lace veil from her wedding on site to wrap it around my bouquet. We cannot say enough good things about Patrick Martinez! The man is a visual genius, and he was absolutely essential to our wedding day. When we first hired CityIris, our agreement was strictly for floral arrangements. Little did we know that we would be getting so much more. Patrick advised us for every step of the process—what frames for the table numbers would work best, the type of flowers that would complement the bridesmaids dresses, menu layouts, seating chart, etc. He also ended up finding my wedding dress for me—and let me tell you, the man has an eye for what works!! The dress was not only stunning, but it perfectly matched the tone and theme of the wedding. Patrick, in putting work into every detail, had our theme running through his head, and the result was an extremely elegant, stunning, and memorable ceremony and reception. Patrick is an amazing florist and a wonderful person. He not only did our flowers but also helped us with all of the decor for our ceremony and reception. We didn't know exactly what we wanted but Patrick put together an amazing package that made our venue look stunning and was within our budget. Amazing Experience and Great Vendor!

Patrick was above all the best vendor that I worked with throughout my entire event! He was very personable, flexible and accommodated any changes that I had up until the day of the event. I was on a budget and even with my price range Patrick went above and beyond to make my floral arrangements be out of this world amazing!! Patrick’s suggestions for any question that I had resulted in something more sophisticated, unique and something seen in a movie or a postcard. He made my event be over the top and I received compliments from all who attended. Patrick was always available by phone and e-mail and when he was not, he promptly returned my messages. Patrick is more than a florist, he is an event stylist guru! He listened to my vision and then enhanced it X100. He was so patient with me when I changed the setup of my event a couple of times and constantly kept my Type A personality at ease that everything would be beautiful! I'll never forget showing up the day of my wedding and being absolutely blown away at what a beautiful job him and his partner had done. Not to mention the fact that my wedding was in Palm Springs, CA and he managed to make it all happen given he's based on NY. To top it all off my wedding was featured in Style Me Pretty because of how beautiful it was. All my guests told me they thought it was "straight from a magazine!".

City Iris run by Patrick Martinez is the place to go. Patrick will help you with your dress, the invitations, colors for the tables, dealing with difficult guests and of course the flowers. The flowers were spectacular and tasteful. Our guests commented on the beautiful corsages, boutonnieres and table settings. Our wedding was last night and as I look at the flowers I took home with me, I couldn't wait to write a review for the fabulous City Iris. After contacting several florists, I met with Patrick in his Manhattan studio. After the meeting I knew I wanted Patrick to do our flowers at The W Hotel. He just "got it". Professional, prompt, flexible, kind and artistic rockstar were just a few of his winning qualities that earned him 5 out of 5 stars in every category. I'm not an easy sell and asked for very specific flowers in hard to find hues and he accommodated every one. I showed him pictures and vibes and he came up with a solution within our budget. Our guests raved about his work. He was even willing to do a second test without question to get us what we wanted. We certainly weren't his only clients but he gave us service as if we were. He also did our gorgeous golden place cards. He is a find and you will not be sorry if you have the pleasure of working with this company.

Stunning Florals

I met Patrick at an event I was working in NYC. He had done all the florals for the event and I had just begun my wedding planning process. It was fate when we met. I loved his energy and creativity. He absolutely NAILED my vision and exceeded my expectations. I wanted bright colors, but for the fall and he truly was the cherry on top for my wedding weekend. I left the creative process up to him with some inspo photos, but I fully trusted him. He is fun and so amazing to work with. I wish I had more events to plan just so I can work with him again!!

I am so glad that I chose Patrick and City Iris for my big day!!! He did really amazing job! I did not have detailed vision of my wedding, but he caught what I wanted, and came out with really beautiful flower decors which exactly what I was thinking! Working with Patrick was an amazing experience. He took my general vision for sunflowers in a bookstore wedding and really created a romantic, elegant feel. Patrick was available during the entire planning process and was so receptive to my last minute changes to add greenery for the ceremony space. Patrick and his team were on time to set up the venue and his centerpieces and welcome table decor created a beautiful atmosphere in the space. Patrick is a natural!

Can’t recommend Patrick enough! I never met with him before the event, I had only spoken to him over email. And just from that, he completely understood everything we needed--he was super responsive and he was so easy to work with. I felt comfortable and knew that we were in good hands. On the day of the event he arrived early for his set up, made sure everything was to our liking, and was genuinely such a blast to be around. I would absolutely hire him again for any future events!

Patrick was AMAZING!!! He was easily our best vendor both in terms of the quality of his work and how easy it was to work with him. We didn't hire a wedding planner, so were looking for a florist who had vision and was willing to help us design the entire look and feel of the wedding. Patrick was perfect - he has a great eye, tons of experience and was gracious and patient throughout the process. He came up with the design for everything - our chuppa, the centerpieces, our escort card table, our bouquets, flowers for our cocktail hour and our rehearsal dinner. He also decorated the stage in front of our DJ, provided all of our candles and votive holders, hand sewed (!!) all of our table linens and made the seating cards and numbers for the reception tables. We needed to rent lounge furniture to fill empty space in in the reception hall - Patrick took care of it; I wanted to surprise my husband with a hot dog cart at the end of the night (a treat for guests on their way out) - Patrick took care of it; we got married on New Year's eve and wanted a special way to celebrate the countdown - Patrick took care of it (came up with a brilliant idea for smokeless sparklers to be passed around just before midnight).

I can't stress enough how amazing it was to work with Patrick. The flowers were beautiful and he went above and beyond to make it a special experience. He and his team worked tirelessly (including on my New Year's Eve wedding day). And best of all, it was a great value. For all he did, Patrick charged half as much as it would have cost us with other florists.

I would highly highly recommend Patrick!

Patrick is so wonderful to work with - he is an amazing florist, very patient, and super personable. Working with him throughout our whole wedding process was like talking to a friend. He was able to capture our vision perfectly and work with our budget. I changed my mind a few times over the year of planning and he mocked up different arrangements until I was sure of what I wanted. On our wedding day, we were so impressed by the bouquets, floral arrangements, and decor that Patrick and his team set up. I highly recommend City Iris to any bride and groom! Thank you, Patrick!

Patrick is the absolute best!

Patrick is incredible! From the very beginning, he was understanding of our minimalist vision. He didn't try to upsell us or convince us to go bigger on florals, he stuck to our vision and only made it more classy, elegant, and timeless. Patrick was recommended by our venue who encouraged us to listen to and trust him. That's just what we did, and the results were magical. Patrick was helpful with not just florals, but with menus, place cards, table settings, etc. Everything was perfect. He was quick to respond to emails and last minute changes, his pricing was fair and affordable, and most of all, throughout the whole process, it was evident that Patrick loves what he does. Don't hesitate in hiring City Iris for your big event!

Affordable, High-Quality Choice!

Patrick from City Iris did the most amazing job with the flowers for our November wedding. It was super affordable and absolutely gorgeous. Patrick was so accommodating and he nailed the look I was going for with very little guidance from me! He was a dream to work with and I was so happy with how the flowers came out. I have nothing but praises to say about Patrick. He is more than a florist, but rather an artist. He has great passion for what he does, and you can tell through his work. Being a type A and perfectionist, I've interviewed multiple florists in New York City. However, within minutes of talking with Patrick, I knew that he was the florist I had to hire. He knew the type of wedding I had envisioned, and did everything he can to deliver. I left everything up to him because I trusted him. If you ask other vendors, they're very familiar with his work as well and speak very highly of him. Patrick is also very personable, responsive to emails, and helpful. He is worth every penny!

Amazing + Affordable

Patrick was absolutely amazing!! We had very little vision for our wedding and Patrick came up with perfect suggestions for our personalities and venue! The flowers and arrangements were absolutely gorgeous, in addition to being very affordable. Patrick is absolutely amazing!!! You probably wont see many men coming on these sites to review florists but I just had to. Patrick was literally everything we could have ever asked for in a florist. There was zero pressure, he did not try to push his wants and needs on us. We told him what we wanted and what our budget was (was a modest budget of 3k) and he did wonders for us. We had called other places with the same budget and they laughed at us. What he created looked absolutely amazing. Not only was it exactly what we were looking for, but he made it even more fabulous then we had pictured. In addition to the amazing pieces he created, he was always available to talk to. My wife's mother and aunt can be very difficult to deal with (my wife as well) and he not only handled the crazy, but actually was able to make all 3 happy (this is very rare!!!). He was there every step of the way. When my wife almost broke down from the stress, he was the one who could talk her off the ledge and assure her everything would be perfect (and it was). Patrick will go above and beyond for you and your wedding. Do yourself a favor and book them immediately. You will not get a better florist I promise you. We had a meeting on mother's day and he had bouquets of roses waiting for the ladies cause that is just the type of person you are dealing with here. While this is his business, he cares more about you getting what you want and things looking amazing then he does about the bottom line. He added things that he felt were needed to make things "pop" more. There was no additional charges for these things, he just added them because he felt they were needed. Thank you so so so much Patrick for everything you did for us. We received so many compliments on the arrangements and the flowing bouquet was awesome. BOOK THESE GUYS!! They will give you the best bang for your buck I promise. We loved these guys so much that we ended up having them do our programs, table cards etc as well..

I had a terrific experience using City Iris for my wedding. Patrick offers incredible value for his talent — he did a great job at staying within our (limited) budget for flowers but helping to maximize the overall effect of our design goals. I am forever indebted to him for encouraging me to use whites and creams in our floral arrangements to complement the various hues in my bridesmaids’ dresses — I think I would have chosen something else if left to my own devices, but now that I’m seeing photos of how everything pulled together, I realize just how right he was! I totally trust Patrick and he was a joy to work with at every stage of the process. Highly recommend.

as we could to try and give our daughter a fantastic wedding. Well it was a a dream come true. The wedding was magnificent.

We fell in live with you and Josh from the moment we met. Valentina and I
told you are vision and you actually listened to everything and then you
showed us what you were going to do. We loved it. When we walked into
the Studio 450 room you designed we were speechless.

It was so stunningly beautiful and fabulous. You exceeded our expectations.

The decor,the colors,the flowers,vases,nyc skyline on the vases,lightning,
the hot pink cushions with the silver chairs and black tablecloths,the dance
floor with the decorated hanging ribbon,crystal chandelier,the candles,the flowers,the colors,fuschia-black were absolutely gorgeous.The pink
lightning,the bars,the martini bar was awesome.
The ice sculptures were amazing. The photo booth (send in the clowns,ent) was a big hit too.

The guests are still talking about how beautiful the wedding was
and they will remember it for a lifetime.
We cannot thank you enough, your talent,your kind heart and attn to
detail is amazing.

We are now friends for life.The wedding was amazing,from your design
the venue and views of nyc(studio 450) the ceremony outside on the roof
with the empire state building in the background,the food to die for&Yen's presentation(real foods) our dj that had everyone on the dance floor all night (dj manny the greek-jtk entertainment) made this wedding a dream.

I know how hard you worked to have the ceremony on the rooftop
due to the wind,but you all made it happen.Just like you stayed calm
and helped us with a few mini crisis moments along the way. Love
how you handled everything.....
You even found fuschia candles, how about that beautiful damask runner!

Thanks to Josh too he also had some amazing ideas that were
beautiful.

I can not say enough good things about Patrick and Josh. Our idea for our wedding was hire the right people and there will be nothing to worry about. Well, that is just what happened! From my first meeting with Patrick and Josh, they made the whole process effortless. I didn't know what concept I wanted, but somehow after meeting with me for 5 minutes, they knew exactly what I wanted and were spot on! They made my vision become a reality and I was beyond pleased with the end result. They even made it a point to make my mother part of the process which was so important to me. The invitations and flowers were outstanding and stood out in every picture we took! Patrick even made it a point to hand deliver my husbands flowers and pin it on him, himself to make sure it was perfect. There was nothing I would have changed and I would without hesitation recommend them to every bride near and far!

Patrick is THE BEST!

Patrick is so amazing - you have to hire him! From the very first conversation, he completely understood exactly what I wanted, and he delivered above and beyond expectations. We initially hired him to do a 175 person NYC wedding, but with Covid we ended up doing a really small party (5 total) in the Hamptons. He was super flexible and creative and made the event so beautiful. All of our other vendors commented on how uniquely amazing the flowers were. And the best part is his attitude - you will have a blast working with him!

Working with Patrick was the best part of my wedding planning experience. First and foremost, my wedding reception was STUNNING thanks to Patrick's beautiful work with the flowers and candlelight. The flowers were so perfectly gorgeous that some of our guests checked to see if they were fake (they weren't, of course). His artistry and attention to detail are superb. My reception looked luxurious in spite of our non-lux budget. I felt thoroughly at ease leaving the decor in his hands.

Aside from being an amazing artist, he's also a wonderful person - so helpful and kind, approachable and willing to assist in any way - from invitations to hairpieces, to recommending bakers and makeup artists. He even gave my sister some interior decor tips. He was quick to respond and professional, but working with him really felt like working with your coolest, most creative friend. I can't recommend him highly enough!

He truly went more than above and beyond to ensure that our wedding day was just as we imagined it to be. Patrick was kind, professional, attentive, and just an absolutely lovely human being all around. He was patient, understanding, and accommodating throughout the entire process, as planning a wedding 3000 miles away in a pandemic is not the easiest thing to do! Our wedding day would not have been the same without him and we would recommended him to anyone who wants their vision to truly come to life!

CityIris was hands our BEST vendor for our wedding. Patrick and Joshua are both such wonderful, warm, TALENTED, amazing people. We had met with several florists before finding CityIris, and were disappointed by the lack of creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm we were seeing. Patrick and Joshua exceeded every expectation I had. They worked with us with the fairly tight budget we had, and were able to achieve originality, beauty, and sophistication. I came to CityIris with some scattered ideas. After a great first meeting, Patrick told me he would go through everything we covered (all of my ideas, images, colors, budget) and would come up with a proposal. His proposal was so well thought out, and truly incorporated everything I had presented in a tasteful, cohesive and original way. For our next meeting Patrick prepared our table arrangements; I was floored! They were a work of art - truly arrangements like i've never seen before. Patrick and Joshua also worked on our huppah, which of course you don't get to see in real life until the day of the wedding - it was AMAZING! Chuppahs similar to the one we had were quoted to me at about $5000 by other florists. This chuppah was BETTER - simply stunning - and it was less than half the price. Patrick and Joshua also worked on our menus, place cards and table numbers, and again, they turned out so so beautiful. I cannot say enough great things about CityIris - I loved every second of working with them - they are just wonderful people who truly aim to please - they want each bride to be so happy with the work they produce. No detail is too small - from table coverings, to the exact shade of the runner, to the ribbon on the bouquets. I have to also mention that about 2 weeks before the wedding I was stressing about my veil - I didn't love it and was having doubts. Patrick offered to sew for me a silk two-tiered veil (what I had initially wanted), which turned out GORGEOUS! Truly, better than the veils I saw at Kleinfelds.

We were so glad we hired CityIris as our florist! It all turned out beautiful. Patrick offered great suggestions and gave us a lot of inspiration. I have a hard time visualizing things, and remember leaving our first appointment feeling happy, excited, and certain that he'd bring our ideas to a whole new level, and he definitely delivered!

You cannot go wrong with CityIris!

Two of my very close friends worked with Patrick for their NYC and Long Island weddings and both recommended I reach out when I began planning. I am so glad that I did! After a quick initial phone call, Patrick immediately understood the look I was going for, and he sent reference images that were spot on before I even shared my inspiration boards. Due to covid19 restrictions, we changed our April 2021 plans by postponing our large catering hall reception to 2022 and planning a small ceremony in my parents' backyard. With this change, Patrick immediately got to brainstorming ways to make this day still feel extra special. He created a stunning bouquet for me, vibrant centerpieces, and an incredible arch covered in cherry blossoms. In addition, he used rose petals and tons of candles to set the tone. I cannot thank Patrick enough for making our backyard ceremony so much more beautiful than I could have imagined, and we are so excited to work with him next year for our large reception. Gorgeous Florals and a Delight to Work With!

I can't say enough good things about working with Patrick at City Iris for my wedding florals! From little more than a color scheme and a request for flowers that would augment but not overpower the natural beauty of our venue, he made literal magic happen! This review is clearly waaaaaaaayyyyy overdue seeing that its my one year anniversary already! Patrick was truly heaven sent and is such a beautiful person. He worked within our budget and made our room look magical with his beautiful cherry blossoms. He was very responsive to calls and emails and was there to help me brainstorm smaller decorations I needed for the cake and welcome table. My bouquet was to die for and the bridesmaids bouquets were simply perfect. Patrick also helped with my personal styling as well. I bought an amazing hairpin from him as well as my wedding earrings. He's also an amazing seamstress and helped me redesign the back of my dress and hemmed it as well. I cannot thank him enough for all of his help. I wanted a simple aisle to walk down and he covered it with rose petals and lined it with beautiful gold candle lit lanterns. I really wish I had the ability to attach pictures to my review. If I ever have any floral needs in the future there is no question that I will go to him. If anyone ever asks me for recommendations for their wedding I am immediately sending them to City Iris! I will Patrick nothing but the best and hope that his business continues to blossom [pun intended :) ].

The absolute best!

Patrick and his team are AWESOME. Patrick is so efficient and empathetic, and patiently worked with me to figure out what I was looking for when I had no idea. Just one 30 minute call and a couple of Pinterest photos later, and he had a proposal and quote for me. Before I knew it, I was in his workspace excitedly looking at a centerpiece and a bouquet. Then when I threw a whole other new request at him a month out, he worked with me to make my vision come through. Patrick was on point with installation despite numerous challenges, and on the big day, I could see him running around making magic happen, all with a smile on his face. This is all not even to mention how creative and talented he is and how much beauty he brought to our day.

Couples: DO NOT HESITATE to reach out! Patrick is the absolute best and a dream to work with. Creative, responsive, efficient, organized and empathetic. What more could you ask for?

After my fiance and I had a terrible experience with a prior florist literally going MIA, we found Patrick! The first thing I noticed about Patrick was how responsive he was. Throughout the wedding planning what was most frustrating to me were vendors not getting back to me. This was not the case at all with Patrick. He was never for one moment ever made me feel like I had to chase him down. When we came in for a consult he had the most beautiful display ready for us. Everything I told him I wanted he delivered and then some!! He brought my vision to life so beautifully and so eloquently. He was so easy to work with and so professional. He was right on time with delivering the bouquets to the hotel we were staying at and I never for one second was worried about how the venue would look. What I didn't realize was how blown away I would be by the way he set up the tables. It was absolutely stunning. I am so happy Patrick was my florist for my wedding. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted but I let him take the reigns and the results were overwhelmingly wonderful.... tasteful, classy, beautiful, and all my guests kept complimenting us on how perfect everything looked. Patrick was patient with my numerous emails and very laid back, set up everything perfectly, and was just an overall pleasure to work with. I can't recommend him and his team highly enough.

Pleasure to work with!

Patrick was wonderful to work with. He was responsive, professional, and personable. Although my husband and I live in Florida, we got married in NYC in August. All of my communication with Patrick was via email and I did not meet him in person until he delivered my bouquet the morning of my wedding; And he was just as great in person as he had been over email! My wedding day would not have been the same without the help of City Iris and Patrick. They are professional, creative, and very attentive to your needs. I really didn’t have a specific idea of what I wanted for our initial meeting, but when I showed Patrick my dress, I could see the light go off and his creativity in motion. I was just so impressed with how beautiful everything was from the ceremony to the reception arrangements, to our bouquets, it all just flowed impeccably. I worked with City Iris for flowers and invitations, but honestly, Patrick was many times acting as my wedding planner. He always had suggestions and references for other vendors and just really got to know me and knew what would work and what wouldn’t. I can’t say enough fabulous things about Patrick and his team. I plan on using them for any events I can in the future and I would strongly encourage any bride to be to meet with him because I can guarantee you will not regret it. I found City Iris by total coincidence - I was showing my family our wedding venue as the setup for a wedding was going on. I loved everything they were doing so I took a few minutes to chat with them about my ideas and budget and we set up a time to meet formally.

I cannot say enough great things about Patrick and CityIris. I had told him my "vision" and he was quickly able to translate that into a descriptive and comprehensive proposal. My now husband is a very visual person and he was very appreciative of the "mock" table that Patrick had set up for our first meeting. I had told him my ideas for a chuppah, and he gently suggested something he felt would be more elegant - and I was so impressed when I saw the final product and everyone raved about how beautiful it was. Patrick was very conscious of my budget and managed to make my ideas come to life in a gorgeous and cohesive way - the bouquets, boutinierres, centerpieces, and decor he did on my cake were beyond my expectations and look gorgeous in all of the pictures I have seen so far.

Aside from simply the quality of the work he did for me, I thoroughly enjoyed working with Patrick. He is funny, honest and fabulous at working with brides. He was incredibly responsive and I always looked forward to meeting with him - he was more than willing to look at pictures of things I was planning for the wedding or my gown and accessories and give me his opinion or help to work other details into my decor. I'm actually sad that I don't have another event planned to work with him on!

Extremely detailed and professional!

Book Patrick with confidence! He is an amazing florist - super professional, responsive, and pays close attention to detail. Patrick goes above and beyond to make sure your vision comes to life. We had a smaller wedding with blush-themed florals and it was perfect. I recently lost my dad and wanted to incorporate a piece of his jeans in my bouquet so he could be with me as I walked down the aisle. Patrick made a beautiful ribbon from the fabric I gave him. Patrick was amazing to work with. I wanted a beach theme wedding with sandcastle center pieces - something that could be tacky very easily which I obviously wanted to avoid. Patrick's ideas made the most beautiful centerpiece. He took my vision and transformed it into something so beautiful and elegant. My guests had nothing but compliments for such a unique centerpiece. Wonderful!

Patrick is extremely personable, thoughtful, and he's wonderful to work with! I wish I could give him a hug again right now. (So sorry this review is long overdue!) He understood our low-key rustic style and his expertise elevated the ambiance of our wedding. I met with a few florists and he was realistic in terms of working with our style and budget. It was important to us that we were able to work with someone who not only takes pride in their art but also understood our needs. Absolutely stunning florals!

We are so glad that we hired CityIris to do our wedding florals! Patrick has an incredible eye and taste. He instantly understood our slightly unusual vision: moss covered flowering plants as opposed to cut flowers. The reception area looked even better than we had imagined. Beyond that, Patrick went above and beyond the call of duty in so many ways, including helping us with some logistical issues. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, he was incredibly patient and generous as I ran many aesthetic decisions by him which had nothing to do with florals. Through these exchanges, I came to trust his taste so much that we ended up giving him very few directives and letting him decide the rest; he executed everything masterfully. For our chuppah decoration, we said only that we wanted green hanging amaranthus. We are so happy with how they turned out. He even repurposed our excess tablecloth fabric to make a chuppah covering. I left the design of my wedding bouquet completely to him, and he surprised me with an incredible bouquet that I loved more than anything I’d seen. I highly recommend CityIris to anyone, and will certainly be calling whenever I need flowers of any kind in the future!

Patrick is amaze!! We absolutely love him. We reached out to several florists through weddingwire and he got back to us immediately with some ideas for our wedding. He is very creative and totally was fantastic through this process. He is quick to respond, great at suggesting which flowers is best for the month etc and super helpful (even with stuff that isn't do to with flowers!).

On the day, our tables looked beautiful and so did our bouquets. He even added some flowers on our cake to make it even more special. The chuppah he built and designed for us was just beautiful - also props to Patrick for moving it around last minute as our rain forecast changed to somewhat sunny.

We totally recommend hiring him! Our experience with him was so stress free :).

From the moment I met Patrick during our first meeting, I knew he was absolutely wonderful. He was so warm and welcoming, after our initial meeting my mother and I both commented on how we felt like we had known him for years. He took the time to listen to my ideas, concerns, and gave supportive feedback. Patrick was never more than a phone call/e-mail away, quick to response to any concerns I might have had. He took into consideration our budget and worked with it. Along with flowers, Patrick designed our wedding invitations and table/card numbers. Wedding invitations really do set the tone for the wedding, and his designs were wonderful.

For the actual day of my wedding, my bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets, centerpieces, everything was so beautiful...exactly what I wanted. Patrick and his staff at City Iris truly were able to capture exactly what I wanted/hoped for. Throughout my wedding everyone made comments on how much they loved the flowers and decor.

I know a handful of people who are in the beginning stages of planning their weddings, and I will definitely recommend City Iris to them.

The Perfect Florist!

Patrick is a superstar and he and his team were amazing for our wedding. We hit it off from the first day we met and I knew he would be our florist when he and my husband separately pointed out the same boutonniere from my Pinterest board.

Patrick was very easy to work with, he always took our input into account and offered suggestions based on what we wanted and was receptive to our feedback. He clearly has a passion and vision for floral arrangements, he was able to immediately suggest flowers and a color palette that complemented our theme perfectly. We had a tight budget and Patrick worked with us to make sure our arrangements would be beautiful regardless. He did not hesitate to help us to bring everything within budget.

He also went the extra mile for us. The flowers for our wedding were the wrong shade when they arrived the day before so he went to flower market at 4AM on the day of the wedding to get the flowers in the correct shade.

On the wedding day, Patrick and his team arrived early to set up and everything was gorgeous. The wedding altar and centerpieces were beautiful, the bouquets and boutonnieres were full, and the colors all tied in together so well. He also decorated the escort card table, wedding cake table, and the tables at cocktail hour.

Some of our guests weren't mindful and broke a few of the cylinder vases along the aisle after the ceremony but Patrick had spare cylinders just in case. He salvaged the flowers and replaced them without a hitch.

Patrick checked in with us throughout the day to make sure that everything was exactly as we dreamed and let us know when he was leaving for the night. I would definitely recommend him and know where to go if we need flowers for another event

Amazing experience

Patrick was so wonderful to work with. I sent him some examples of what I liked from Pinterest and he took all of them into consideration and created my dream florals for our wedding. The flowers were gorgeous, so fresh and lush. Patrick also created our seating chart/welcome sign and table numbers. Anything I threw at him, he knocked out of the park and went above and beyond with it. The setup for our ceremony wasn’t as pretty as the venue had initially promised us, but Patrick brought extra flowers and went to work to make it beautiful for us. I would highly recommend him over and over again. He was a dream!

Patrick is Exceptional!!!

Our original wedding was supposed to be in Atlanta, GA, but due to the pandemic we had to postpone. We still wanted to get married on our original date, so we decided on a intimate 12 guest backyard wedding. My wedding planner connected me with Patrick and from day one he never skipped a beat! Patrick is simply amazing. He is so personable, friendly and a girl's best friend. And his work is amazing. I've looked at a lot of florist and no one's work compared to his and when you walk into the office you feel like you're in a beautiful and chic world. I felt totally at ease having him handle everything. He also helped me pick my wedding gown and veil from Pronovias even when I was looking at other gowns. He said trust me I can see you in a Pronovias dress. He is a true bridal stylist because I would of never tried on a dress until he suggested it. Perfection

We had originally planned a ceremony at a summer camp in Upstate New York, but due to the statewide shutdown, we had to push everything back until next year. We still wanted to get married on the same date this year, so we decided to have a backyard wedding with no in-person guests. Not only is Patrick one of the most lovely, kind and joyful people I have ever met, he is also an incredibly thoughtful and dedicated floral ARTIST! Best Florist in NYC

I had my wedding back in May and had so many compliments regarding my floral display from Patrick! Floral dreams came true!!

I highly recommend working with Patrick/City Iris. I had met with several other florists and it just didn’t feel right. Within the first five minutes of my intro call with Patrick I knew he was the ONE! Patrick is the best in the business. He saw my vision for the day and knew what I wanted and didn’t want. What I loved about working with Patrick is throughout wedding planning he and I would talk not just about florals but the overall color and decor scheme of the wedding. The best part of wedding planning was when Ryan and I were able to see a mockup of the centerpieces and my bouquet- it was so beautiful and made us so excited for the wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Patrick at CityIris. Before finding Patrick, I had already met/exchanged emails with two other vendors who promised to personalize my wedding and make it unique, but then clearly sent me packaged proposals that had nothing to do with what we had discussed. Other florists took several days to return my emails, if they did so at all. Patrick got back to me right away, asked what I wanted, and set up a meeting. When I met with him, he already had ideas and examples to show me of flowers I told him I liked. Patrick took my suggestions and made them a beautiful reality. He even set up a mock table at a second meeting so that my mom could see what the centerpieces would look like before the wedding. Everything was creative and gorgeous. He also designed my placecards, which were the prettiest I have ever seen. He even hand delivered my bouquet the afternoon of my wedding! When I walked into the receoption and saw all the colors, candles, and unique flowers, I was almost overwhelmed. And the best part - he charged me less than half the price I was quoted by any other florist.

Driving for perfection

Time flies but our memory stays with our beautiful wedding and all the efforts behind it!
One sentence to summarize it if you don't want to read it through: Patrick is really accommodating and did everything way beyond our expectation.
Back in April 2018, we were really stressed at that time, and we had no idea on how to do our wedding. We searched through internet crazily, browse through reviews and images. We nailed it down to three florists before we started to schedule appointments. On the first appointment, Patrick was really patient on getting to know what style, color, texture we wants, basically very detail-oriented. He also worked with our budget without a frown. He sent back a proposal next day, and we went though several rounds of revising since we added new request each time.
Here comes the time for samples. Patrick did the centerpiece sample as illustrated in the proposal but we don't like how this style shows on pictures. Therefore, we made a radical change to the proposal, and what's really awesome about Patrick was that he patiently rewrote the proposal from bottom, and took time to do anothe full sample session for us, given that he had so many weddings in summer. He also helped us on our wedding design including invitations, menus etc. very insprirational! He is really driving for satisfaction and perfection.
On the wedding day, Patrick arrived on time to do arrangement for flowers, candles, aisle-runner. They turned out to be more beautiful that we saw in sample session, and our guests love those flowers!

Beyond What Dreams Are Made Of

Patrick is an absolute God Send!! He went above and beyond providing stunning bouquets and flower arrangements. Not only did he do a phenomenal job with the floral decor, he also set up lanterns for an impactful and luxurious setting. The service at City Iris that Patrick and Josh provide simply cannot be beat. I am a rather particular girl, and when I got engaged, I had a distinct vision in my head about what I wanted my husband’s and my wedding day to look like. I met with a number of floral designers. All seemed lovely and put together proposals but I didn’t get the sense that they understood what I wanted and/or the proposals were outrageously expensive. Then I met with Patrick. When we sat down, he wanted to understand everything, not just about my ideas for flowers, but my vision for the day, the mood I was looking for at the reception, even about my husband’s and my personality! In short, I felt like I was talking to an old friend. Patrick asked about my budget and put together a proposal that was affordable, and captured all of my ideas perfectly. He even worked in all of my DIY ideas. Imagine how THRILLED I was when I found out that he does wedding gowns, too! I had shopped in other stores without success and generally left feeling really stressed. I chatted with Patrick about it who said, “I have a few dress ideas for you, come on by.” He found my dress. No stress, no fuss, just perfect. Every time I met with Patrick and Josh, I grew more and more fond of them. So fond, in fact, that my husband and I had Patrick and Josh as guests at our wedding. Patrick and Josh were such a critical support in planning our wedding, it felt wrong not to have them share in the day that they worked so hard to help create. They blew our expectations out of the water. Trust me, you’ll be in the best hands possible at City Iris.

I travelled from the UK to New York for my wedding, so all of the arrangements were made via email. This did not cause any problems as Patrick responded to all of my questions in such a friendly and efficient manner and even emailed photographs of bouquets that I might like for inspiration. My wedding was quite small but Patrick made me feel like I was his most important client. The service was always very professional and I felt reassured throughout the process. It was stress free! He seemed to know instinctively the type of flowers that I wanted for my bouquet, buttonholes and centre pieces. They were delivered in person by Patrick on the day and they were absolutely perfect! I highly recommend City Iris if you are looking for a New York florist.

I wanted to truly thank you and Josh and your whole staff for putting together my DREAM wedding!! I know not everything was able to go exactly as planned but all your hard work and attention to detail was not lost on me. I appreciate you taking on the extra stress of making sure I got married outside and surprise everyone by coming out from the freight elevator as I always imagined and it was perfection.

I felt like you really cared about me, my family and my wedding and that is not something you come across often with wedding vendors and I feel like that was shown through all the beautiful details you did for me at the wedding. The dance floor was gorgeous, all the decor, loved it! But I think the highlight was my sparklers toast, I was almost in tears I couldn't believe you pulled it off it was sick even one of the servers holding the bottles looked excited! The orchids in my centerpieces and in all the decor was gorgeous!!

Patrick is the best!

Patrick from City Iris is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. From the moment my wife and I first spoke with him on the phone, we knew we wanted to work with him for our wedding. He exudes kindness and generosity and has the most infectious personality. On top of that, he did a fantastic job of helping to execute our vision for our wedding flowers. He stayed flexible every step of the way, even when we thought we might change our entire color palette at one point. He created gorgeous candleholder centerpieces and an archway, which he effectively used in the ceremony and the reception, and his bouquets and corsages/boutonnieres looked stunning. We’d wanted a deep purple color palette and were concerned about getting the right shades in combination. Things could have skewed too pastel or too blue, but Patrick struck the perfect balance. Right before our preview, he added a flower he hadn’t originally planned to include (purple anemones). His instincts were spot on, and this flower (as well as the others he chose) ended up being exactly what we wanted in terms of color. He understood the vision and wasn’t afraid to toss new ideas our way. It was easy to put our trust in him and we are so grateful we did!

It was a great experience working with Patrick. He was very professional and extremely helpful in helping us figured out the right ambience for the wedding. I really can't say enough good things about Patrick and City Iris as a whole. Patrick is a pleasure to work with and never forgets that it is your event and he is going to deliver a beautiful result, according to your vision. He offers his extreme expertise, but never steps on your toes and really helps guide you to the best way to accomplish the look you are going for.
