Planning a wedding is something that can seem overwhelming, only because there are so many different moving parts. When it comes to choosing music, if you want your wedding to be smooth, be your vibes, and have the dance floor absolutely PACKED, look no further than Danny T with City Event Group!!
Danny T is the owner of City Event Group and LOVES the industry that he works in. We met with Dan over zoom several times leading up to our wedding and honestly, we learned more about the ins and outs of how weddings flow and properly function from Dan than we did from anyone else.
We always knew that good music gets people dancing and that it's extremely important in a wedding, however, what I didn't realize is how involved and intricate Dan's job was. After our first meeting we were absolutely floored with how much goes into the planning of a successful night. Dan was our guy for the ceremony and reception and we could not have imagined it any other way.
Dan is an expert at reading the crowd, knowing what to play next, when to cut a song, fade it out, etc. He is also the ULTIMATE hype man. Right before the ceremony, I (the bride) was having a panic attack...Dan talked to me for about 5 minutes and I instantly felt better.
Dan got the entire 152 (guests of all age ranges) completely FIRED up for the entrance with my husband and I into the reception...he also kept the crowd of all ages on the dance floor ALL NIGHT!!
He knows his trade and he knows the wedding business well. He is so fun and down to earth and literally is down for WHATEVER!! He does everything with passion and a huge smile on his face.
I don't know if everyone realizes just how important the music is at a wedding. If the DJ isn't good, the music isn't good, then no one is dancing, and people are complaining. I've been to weddings like this, where no ones vibeing with the music, or the announcements are just dull and plain and seem obligatory...this however, IS NOT what happens when you hire Danny T as your DJ.
Like I've already said above, he brings the energy, the expertise, the fun, and commitment and reminds you every step of the way to have fun and enjoy your special day. Before hiring Danny T I had attended a wedding where he was the DJ, and he had that dance floor packed the exact same way. This wedding was in 2020 and we got married in 2025...Dan continues to excel at his trade and get even better and more knowledgeable as time goes on. After my (then boyfriend now husband) and I attended the 2020 wedding, we both looked at each other and said, when the day comes we're hiring Danny T.
Do yourself a favor and do the same thing!! I promise you, your wedding, and your guests will not regret it and it will be the best thing you do for your wedding. Without Danny T being himself the entire time and the day of, our wedding would not have been the same.
Danny T is the best of the best and if you want your wedding to be a good one, you need to hire him!! It's been months and we're still hearing from guests about how fantastic he was. Bottom line is everything flows off of the music and DJ with a wedding, so you need to have someone who knows what they are doing and is good. That person is Danny T.

From the very first conversation through the final song of the night, City Event Group was nothing short of extraordinary. Planning a New Year’s Eve wedding comes with high expectations, and they exceeded every single one of them. The level of preparation, attention to detail, and genuine care they put into bringing our vision to life was unmatched. They didn’t just handle music they helped us curate the entire atmosphere, including lighting, flooring, and overall production.
From our grand introductions to the intentional moments we planned throughout the night, the room was a vibe. What truly sets this team apart is how invested they are. They listened, guided us, and made the entire planning process seamless and fun. On the night of the wedding, we felt completely taken care of and could be fully present, knowing everything was handled at the highest level. Our guests are still talking about the music, the vibe, and the overall experience.

We got married a week ago, and it still feels surreal.
TL;DR: If you don’t want to read the whole thing... the takeaway is just “Trust in Danny.”
For the curious:
I’ve been fortunate enough to pull off a 10/10 wedding. Danny at CEG knocked it out of the park. The year prior I’d attended eight weddings with my fiancé, so trust us... we know ball. My now wife had been to even more.
A close friend recommended Danny’s team for our event coordinator. We ended up having Danny directly as our host for the night. From the getgo, the process was both professional and comfortable. He asked more questions than I even knew I needed to answer as how we wanted to experience the night, what vibe we were after, and what details matter. He coordinated directly with our wedding coordinator at the Marriott to make sure we were always aligned and that our requests were going to be fulfilled. Having him take control was a huge weight off our shoulders.
The planning happened over months with scheduled checkins. We brainstormed songs, mapped out the mother/father dances, discussed aisle walkdown tracks. If there was music or a speech, he had it structured to a playbook. He also had all the tricks to signal “ok move on to the next step” at any point. For example during any parent/child dance, when it’s time to wrap it up so it doesn’t drag on. His presence felt like a part of the room, not just a behind the scenes operator. Our guests were constantly engaged. He himself was an act everyone and I enjoyed.
During the ceremony we had a secret agent theme for the ring bearer “delivering the VIP package.” The flower girls started with “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” then transitioned to a slower version for the main flower girl. Before my bride walked down the Tolkien with a Hobbiton vibe. Danny made all of that seamless.
The gear did not disappoint. We chose a white setup (see the pics) and added lighting and a photo booth. The photo booth was clutch. guests could send the images straight to their phones, and we got a copy of them all. Definitely an upgrade worth getting. Our guests (and family children) were obsessed with it. We’re still obsessed with how easy and slick it was. The mics were clean and powerful. Being at a wedding where the mic fails is not fun, trust me i've been a best man where it cut in my speech, so that was a relief.
The music was so good i was just dancing and didnt have to question it. I felt like a guest that just happen to be playing all my favorite songs. This guy reads a crowd.
If you’re looking for a DJ/host who’s more than just someone to press play, someone who plans, coordinates, engages the crowd, and delivers a night you’ll never forget, book Danny and CEG.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience with our wedding DJ Danny T @ City Event Group, for our special day at Evermore at Peirce Farm Estate in September of this year.
From our initial consultation to the final song of the night, he was an absolute dream to work with! Danny T was incredibly professional, responsive, and truly listened to our vision. The planning process was seamless, and their online portal made selecting our must-plays and do-not-plays a breeze.
On the wedding day itself, Danny T completely exceeded our expectations. The ceremony music was flawless, and the reception was an absolute blast. He has an uncanny ability to read the room, blending our diverse music tastes into a playlist that kept guests of all ages on the dance floor all night long (a bride’s dream!). Our friends and family are still raving about how fun the music was!
As an MC, he was fantastic—energetic and kept the flow of the night perfect, incorporating our wishes to thank our guests, and parents, even sneaking in a surprise bouquet dedication to my mother. The sound quality was excellent, and the attention to detail, really showed how much he cared about our day.
We highly recommend City Event Group and DJ Danny T to any couple looking for a polished, fun, and truly talented DJ. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for creating the perfect atmosphere and giving us the dance party of a lifetime! -

The BEST DJ - 10/10
City Event Group was the first vendor I booked for my wedding at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester and that was the BEST DECISION I could have made. Dan T was incredible from the planning, to the set up, to keeping the guests on the dance floor all night. The entire night guests came up to us to tell us how awesome the music was. We had people text us the next day saying they were sore from dancing all night because they couldn't stop. The music was truly better than I could have imagined and I could tell Dan really listened to my ideas and vision. We also rented their LED club signs which were EPIC and their photo booth which was a HUGE hit and super easy to use. Guests got digital photos back instantly! I would highly recommend Dan T from City Event Group for your wedding! -

Danny T from City Event Group DJed our wedding in February and kept everyone on the dancefloor the whole night! We had a smaller wedding and he did a great job of reading the energy of the room and keeping the music flowing with one great hit to the next from cocktail hour to the last song of the night. Not only did Danny T do an amazing job night of, but he was also a huge help leading up to the wedding. He was responsive and helped us talk through the timeline of all the wedding night events to make sure things ran smoothly. -

Danny T is the best DJ out there! My husband and I knew within 10 minutes of our first call with Danny that he was going to DJ our wedding. He met with us multiple times leading up to the wedding, helped us with suggestions for songs, introductions, etc. and made us feel so special the whole time leading up to the wedding and even more so the day of! His professionalism is top notch and our wedding night wouldn't have been nearly as fun if it weren't for Danny. He went above and beyond the whole time and all our friends and family still rave about the epic dance party 6+ months later. We couldn’t be happier with Danny and City Event Group! Our wedding day far exceeded our expectations and was truly a magical day for us, our family, and our friends. Danny spent time in the year leading up to our wedding to get to know us, our vision for the day, and our specific asks. What resulted was a day we will remember and cherish for the rest of our lives.
From romantic moments during dinner (A surprise sax slow dance moment!) to an energetic dance floor that stayed packed all night, he knew exactly how to read the room and keep everyone engaged.
We also have to give a special shoutout to Joe Sax who truly stole the show with his performances during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He is a must for any event!

Danny T at City Event Groups really and truly made it an unforgettable night! The dance floor was full all night, and the energy was high from start to finish. We met with him several times in the year leading up to our wedding and he walked us through everything from the perfect wedding day timeline to the types of music and vibes that best fit what we were looking for. Danny was prompt with email responses and coordinated well with our officiant and venue coordinator the day-of for the plan and set-up as we had him do our ceremony music as well. CEG has a planning portal that helps you indicate songs you want to hear, do-not-plays, and matching up special moments with the songs you want to hear (dances, cake cutting, etc). This paired with Danny’s guidance helped us have a stress free planning experience that led to a night better than we could’ve imagined. He was a high energy MC announcing us and out bridal parties, and spent all night reading the crowd to play the music that kept us going. I cannot recommend Danny and CEG enough! -

We could not have asked for a better DJ, from our first email and zoom call with Danny, we knew we made the right choice. I, myself, am no DJ so I would not have been able to come up with a playlist myself that would keep ALL my guests on the dance floor the entire night. Our favorite part of any wedding is being on the dance floor and singing every song. Danny did not disappoint us at all. We did not leave the dance floor and I wish we could still be on it. I will recommend Danny to anyone that I hear is looking for a DJ.
Not only were the songs for the reception amazing, the ceremony music and introductions were also amazing and went exactly as we were hoping! Danny is super organized and the portal that he has his clients fill out made us super confident that everything we wanted would go as expected, from the song that the bridesmaids would walk down the aisle to to the processional to the FOB, MOG, and MOB dances everything was perfect.
I must also point out that the rapport that Danny built with us made the whole process so much better, it didn’t feel like we were working with someone we just me only a few months prior to our wedding, he felt like someone we knew for years and he really cared about us and wanted our day to be perfect. He learned that my husband and I are HUGE Bruins fans and the Bruins had a playoff game the night of our wedding and Danny made sure to keep us informed of when they scored with the Bruins goal song which was such a thoughtful idea and he wouldn’t have done that if he didn’t truly get to know who we are and learn our interests during all our calls leading up to the wedding.
I could go on and on about how much I recommend Danny and CEG, but I will end it here and just know that you will not regret having Danny DJ your next event!! -

City Event Group did an absolutely fantastic job for our wedding this past August on Cape! Mikey V and Danny T are both professional, kind, and extremely talented individuals. My husband and I had a few phone/zoom calls along with emails before our big day which helped us make song decisions and understand the flow of the day/night. On the day of the wedding Mikey V and Danny T absolutely crushed it on the DJ and on the mic getting the crowd amped for our entrance etc. Our dance floor was up beat, fun, and never dull. People had an absolute blast! He also nailed the ceremony music, I was a bit particular about where the song would start since there were lyrics and Danny provided insight and assured me it would be perfect - which it was! We would highly recommend them for your big day and cannot thank them enough! If you’re looking for the perfect DJ look no further! I cannot recommend DJ Danny enough for your wedding! He made planning so easy and we could tell that he understood the vibe we were going for from the first time we talked. Through all of the communication we had and the online portal, planning was a breeze! We got married at the Stevens Estate in North Andover, and he kept the dance floor packed all night! So many of our guests raved about how great he was, and how he was able to make people of all ages get out of their seats. Danny T and Mikey V DJ’d our recent wedding at Regatta Place in Newport. From the initial call, through the end of the wedding Danny was our point of contact - his communication, process and organization were incredible and really helped ease any nerves or stress we had during planning. The planning process was seamless, with a few phone calls at different points throughout the year and a half from booking to the wedding day. Danny truly made our vision come to life, and Mikey was incredible with the crowd. Our guests are still raving about how awesome Danny and Mikey were - they truly listened to our every wish. We gave them minimal song direction for the reception and cocktail hour (we only had 2 must plays!) and they curated an incredible set that had our crowd dancing all night long! One million stars. BOOK DANNY NOW! Danny was our wedding DJ at Waverly Oaks Golf Club in Plymouth, MA on September 17, 2022. As I'm writing this in December 2022, our guests are still talking about how electric our reception dance floor was. My husband and I knew within minutes of our intro call with Danny that we wanted him to DJ our wedding. Our main goal for our reception was to keep the dance party going all night. We'd be disappointed if even one person was sitting down. Well, not only did Danny make sure everyone was on their feet during our reception, but we barely got through dinner without our guests wanting to get up and dance! Danny T and the rest of the folks with City Event Group provided the DJ services for my wedding. They went above and beyond to make my wedding day amazing! Danny met with us multiple times to help us pick our musical selections, plan the schedule, and reassure us along the way. Danny was very responsive via email and text, and coordinated with our other vendors beautifully.
On my wedding day, they had 3 DJ set ups (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). Everything was seamless, from the ceremony music, to the introduction and special dances, through to the last song of the night. DJs Mikey V and Matt kept the dance floor going all night long! -

Our wedding truly would not have been the same without DJ Danny T. We reached out to him two weeks before our wedding when covid changed all of our plans and he jumped right in. He was organized, friendly, and knew exactly what questions to ask us. We really wanted pipe and drape with lighting and he made that happen too. Our wedding had 25 guests but felt like a big party. We didn’t leave the dance floor all night!! Danny checked in on us throughout the night, made sure we were happy with how the night was flowing and even took some pretty awesome videos and pictures on his phone that gave us a fun first look at everything. Danny was our wedding Dj at the Rosecliff Mansion in Newport , Rhode Island . He exceeded our expectations in every manner possible . From his lively personality to talented Dj’ ing skills , Danny made our night unforgettable. All of my guests pointed out his eagerness to make the night flow perfectly . Throughout the evening he conversed with the venue staff to make sure everything was occurring punctually. He was beyond attentive which we couldn’t be more thankful for . We had several phone calls and meetings with him prior to the event , he was always available and helpful . He made several suggestions when I was stumped for ideas and created a detailed lineup for the night . He also utilized customized uplighting making the room beautifully lit with the most perfect soft colors to compliment the rooms architecture along with a beautiful name decal . There aren't enough words to articulate just how incredible our wedding day was, and that is in large part to Danny T and the team at City Event Group. Our guests are STILL talking weeks later about how our wedding was one of the best they've ever attended, and how badly their feet hurt the next day because they never got off of the dance floor!
I am very type A when it comes to planning, so as a bride, it was extremely important to me that I find a DJ who listened to our wants and needs for the day. Not only was Danny so organized and detail-oriented, it's like he knew what we wanted when it came to the overall vibe for every part of our wedding day, before we even did. We were blown away by his punctuality, vibrant personality, and candor when we asked for his honest and professional opinion.
I would argue that music trumps even the best of food at some of the greatest weddings I've attended, and it was no different for ours. Danny has a very deep connection to music and a talent for reading a room that you cannot place a price tag on. If you want a DJ that truly cares about his couples, I can't recommend Danny enough. -

Danny T & Mikey V along with City Event Group did such a phenomenal job at The River Club for my wedding! Danny & Mikey communicated with us throughout the entire planning process especially while planning during covid. I could not have asked for better people to entertain all of my guests at my wedding. They were unbelievable and I would highly recommend any bride and groom to give them a chance at making their wedding just as magical as they made mine! My husband and I now consider Danny and Mikey friends after getting to know each other throughout this entire process. They love and care about each couple and to make it the best day of your life! You can tell they love what they do and they do it exceptionally!
