I cannot write enough positive things about Cindy. A year ago, we were considering various different cake vendors, including larger bakeries, etc. From the initial taste testing, it was clear that Cindy runs her business very differently from other companies. Cindy created mini cakes for the taste testings and brought them to a coffeeshop for us to try (compared to other vendors who created cupcakes making it difficult to really understand the ratio/get a good idea how a cake would actually taste). Cindy insisted she would personally deliver the cake (also different from other vendors who told us they would hire people who should be able to get the cake to the site, but made no guarantees).
After the taste testing, we moved forward with Cindy and sent her inspiration pics of how we wanted our cake to look. Cindy DELIVERED. Her team brought a four tier cake to the venue, designed it, and ensured it was perfect (and it WAS). Above all else, the guests at our wedding L O V E D the cake, and were talking about the cake for days/weeks after the wedding. It was fresh, moist, and the flavor was incredible.
Cindy was also delightful to work with. She was kind, professional, and it became immediately apparent that she loves what she does. I could not recommend her and her business more to any brides in the area.

Awesome in every way!
Cindy made our daughter's wedding cake and we can't say enough superlatives about every aspect of our experience. We met Cindy for a tasting and were impressed by the flavorful but not too sweet cupcake flavors we asked to taste. When she spoke to us about her cakes, it was clear that she was passionate and proud of her craft, which we appreciated. She was professional, kind, responsive and unpretentious. When we saw the cake on the wedding day, it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The care and love she put into the cake was very apparent. When it finally came time to cut and eat the cake, we were blown away by how good the cake was. The consistency was great and the flavor was amazing. Guests had seconds and raved about how good the cake was. The cake was 4 tiers and we've been to many weddings, but Cindy's cake was - by far- the best! Thank you Cindy for making this aspect of the wedding so great!

Deliciously Moist Cake and Cupcakes!
Cindy was a pleasure to work with from our initial inquiry about her wedding cakes to our obtaining of samples for tasting to our serving of the delicious cake and cupcakes delivered professionally to our venue.
Everyone made a point to tell my daughter, the bride, how much they enjoyed their cake! I enjoyed a very moist chocolate chip cupcake iced beautifully with delicious buttercream frosting. We were never once concerned about the quality of the cake or the service and we were very pleased that we chose Cindy's Cakery for our daughter's wedding.

Cindy is so sweet and easy to work with. Her cakes are amazing and the icing is the best icing I've ever had! Several of my guests and even one of my vendors said they usually don't eat wedding cake because it's gross, but they took a slice to be polite and ended up going back for more it was so delicious! The very best cake baker!
Cindy was WONDERFUL to work with - I would highly recommend her for your cake needs. When we first secured Cindy as a baker (she came highly recommended to us!!), we were putting our dog through radiation. She was so patient and understanding with our need to prioritize. When it came time, she was ready to make anything happen. We also had several severe allergies that she handled flawlessly. Our cake and the cupcakes for our guests were beautiful and so so tasty. Amazing wedding cake
My husband has the biggest sweet tooth and is picky when it comes to the perfect tasting cake, whereas I was all about the aesthetic. Look no further because Cindy's Cakery can do both! First off, it looked beautiful and blew our expectations out of the water. I wanted intricate piping to give it a vintage look and it was done beautifully. It also was the best tasting cake we've ever had and all of our guests would probably agree. We received so many compliments. It was perfectly fluffy and moist and the buttercream frosting was great-- light and not overly sweet. We were also able to have three different flavors/fillings for the four-tiered cake. They made sure to bring a box to place the top tier of the cake in at the end of the night as well. Working with Cindy was great and she was always responsive via email and made sure to ask all of the right questions. Please hire Cindy's Cakery to make your wedding cake. You will not regret it!

The entire process with working with Cindy was fantastic. We met with her initially to discuss cakes and flavors. We picked our 3 flavors to try and loved them all. I actually wanted to try a few more before the final selection, and Cindy was happy to make a few more small sample cakes for us. We picked 3 flavors : decadent chocolate with cookies and cream filling, champagne with strawberry filling, carrot with white chocolate. All were absolutely fantastic. The buttercream icing is the smoothest, creamiest and most delicious I've ever had. she recreated my vision perfectly. When the cake was cut, the dance floor cleared out because everyone was eating cake! I got multiple compliments throughout the night about how good the cake was. Cake is one of the best parts of a wedding to me and Cindy's cake did not disappoint. Thank you Cindy!!!

Cindy is so professional and accommodating. We tasted 2 other wedding cake vendors and weren’t too impressed, but when we tasted Cindy’s cakes, we knew we found our cake baker. I had to book her immediately before she was booked up on our wedding weekend. Cake is super delicious and moist. run do not walk to cindys cakery! when we started emailing cindy she was very responsive from the very beginning. she was sweet, kind and very attentive to my husband and I when we met her to discuss what we wanted from our wedding cake and the tasting was amazing too! she was early on the day of our wedding to put our cake together and it was as delicious if not more delicious than the first tasting! Cindy made my wedding cake (and both of my sister's cakes) and it was absolutely delicious! The tasting process went smoothly and Cindy made sure to answer all of our questions about flavors and designs. We had silk flowers for decorations and she went above and beyond what we imagined for our cake. Everyone at the wedding raved about the cake and we're already looking forward to our anniversary topper!

Amazing Cake Vendor!
Cindy was amazing! She was so easy to work with and was always super responsive. We needed a Gluten Free cake and she gladly made one for us that was very tasty. If you are looking for a cake for your wedding I highly recommend Cindy's Cakery! You won't be disappointed.

Couldn’t have asked for better!!!
Cindi was amazing from day 1!! I had to change wedding dates and the size of cake just a few months prior to our wedding. She was so accommodating. Our cake got so many compliments from how it looked to how it tasted! I’m in love with the flavors she offers and how our summer cake turned out! She even provides an anniversary cake already boxed to put in the freezer. 10/10 recommend for a stress free & beautiful cake experience!

Awesome Cake!!
Cindy did an awesome job on our wedding cake and I definitely recommend her to anyone. It turned out beautiful and it tasted great and we received many compliments on it. I highly recommend Cindy to anyone getting married! Or honestly any event! She was so timely, professional, and kind. She was patient with me and made my vision come true, not to mention even months after our wedding we have had guests tell us how delicious the cake and cupcakes were. Amazing Wedding Cake
Cindy’s Cakery, LLc did an amazing job on our wedding cake and cupcakes. Cindy brought our vision to life for our wedding cake. The Cake was not only beautiful but the taste was incredible. I would definitely recommend and will order more cakes in the future. We were shocked how affordable our Wedding cake and cupcakes were. Plus Cindy went out of her was to deliver the cake and cupcakes plus a cupcake stand. She even put the cupcakes in our cupcake boxes for people to take home.

We had to postpone our reception due to COVID and Cindy was amazing not only did she allow us to move our dates to next year with no hassle but she also made us a smaller cake for the small reception we had after our ceremony. It was both gorgeous and delicious. We couldn’t be happier!

We loved cindy
Cindy was fantastic. Her communication from the beginning was spot on. Our tasting in her home was wonderful. My husband, who isn’t a dessert person, couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the cake was.
When I saw our cake the day of, it was exactly what we had talked about with Cindy. My husband keeps saying how he wished we could have eaten more of the cake.
We can’t wait to order our anniversary cake!

We had an amazing experience with Cindy! The tasting was professional and intimate, not to mention delicious. She was open to any design and was a huge help suggestions. Fantastic Baker!
We are so lucky to have found Cindy for our wedding cake. From the first contact, I knew that she was the perfect person to create our wedding cake. We visited her beautiful home for our tasting where we were warmly welcomed. We sat down to a plate full of small portions of all cake, filling, and icing options for us to easily make our decision. When COVID hit, we had a few changes to our plan and Cindy never batted an eye. Her positivity and grace throughout the planning process were infectious and we knew that we were in good hands. Our wedding was last Friday and we are still talking about the cake - we cannot wait to eat it again on our anniversary.
One of my favorite parts of Cindy's cakery is that she will make an anniversary cake so you won't have to freeze the top tier. The cake was a piece of art -we almost didn't want to cut into it. Each layer was perfect and our guests are still talking about how good it was.

Cindy was AMAZING from day 1. Between covid complications and concerns, a few guest count adjustments and changes back and forth, Cindy was accommodating, caring, and so great to work with. Our cake was BEAUTIFUL and absolutely delicious. The cupcakes were gone in a flash and every time we turned around during the night we had guests coming to us to compliment the cake and cupcakes. Cindy's Cakery made a wedding cake for us that was exactly what our daughter wanted. The cake was beautiful and delicious! Everyone at the reception commented how good it was and several asked who had done it. Cindy proved her professionalism by being on time and setting up the cake and decorating it with florist provided flowers. She was lovely to work with, did everything she could to meet our requests, and her price was less than expected. AMAZING Gluten Free Wedding Cake!!
Cindy was professional and very easy to work with. Her cakes are amazing! We did a tasting and had a very hard time choosing because they were all fantastic. Gluten free wedding cakes that are tasty and affordable are hard to find, but Cindy did it. We have many individuals with Celiac Disease in our families but even our guests with normal diets were astounded at how good the cake tasted. They were even more surprised when they found out it was gluten free! I highly recommend Cindy!

If you are in the Richmond/HR area, Cindy is your baker. Our original baker was unable to complete our vision, and I was traveling for work abroad. My amazing wedding planner team pivoted to Cindy - we did not even do a tasting. It was the perfect cake. She executed each layer perfectly. I could look at photos of it all day! Succulent Success!!
It was a breeze working with Cindy! She made our wedding cake dream come true! Not only was it SO DELICIOUS, it looked exactly how we had planned!! We probably weren't the easiest couple to work with since I work night shifts and I don't always respond to emails or phone calls as quickly as most. She was always so understanding and kind. We were welcomed into her home to have our cake tasting and we knew that day we found the right baker! We did not look elsewhere after meeting with Cindy. I highly recommend her for any occasion!!! Our wedding guests loved the cake. Sadly, there wasn't any left for seconds. It was just too good :)

Incredible Cake and Service
Cindy was incredible, from start to finish. When we first met she talked through our style and had a ton of examples all from experience, not just a book of styles. Then when it came closer to the day, my wife added a groom's cake to our list and Cindy was very upfront on not overbooking herself, but was amazing and fit it in. Game day, I watched her set the table, even to the point of leveling it, adding fresh flowers and not leaving it unattended while we were performing the ceremony. We cannot wait to go back 1 year later for our anniversary cake. The cake was so good!
Some cakes I have had are dry and crumbly but Cindy's cake was moist and had a great flavor! Cindy is highly recommended and was fantastic to work with. Very responsive, just what we needed for our big day. Highly recommended!!

Wow...where to begin! I want to start by saying that I was not a local bride, but hailing from Florida. So finding local vendors was a little bit tricky! Cindy came highly recommended by my caterer, and oh my goodness...I'm so happy! From the beginning, Cindy was incredibly easy to communicate and work with. We took a trip up and scheduled our tasting with Cindy....and all I have to say is WOW. You literally cannot go wrong with any cake flavor she has to offer! The best is that we had a vision in mind of the cake and Cindy executed it perfectly!
Did I mention the cake was incredible? All of the guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was! The other thing I want to make sure I mention is that we have a few family members who have celiac disease and we needed to get a gluten free cake for them...Cindy made the most amazing separate gluten free cake and didn't make those family members feel excluded from the festivities!
I can't wait to have our 1 year anniversary cake! Thank you SO MUCH Cindy for making our special day even more special!

Incredible Wedding Cake!!!
“The best wedding cake I’ve ever tasted!”
I heard this again and again at our daughter’s Watermen’s Museum beach wedding two weeks ago.
The strawberry layer tasted like fresh strawberry shortcake. It was gone in a flash! And there was almost none of the pink champagne layer with raspberry filling left for the next day. I do believe many guests went back for seconds!
My daughter had very few requests, but was particular about her wedding cake. She wanted hexagon layers. She wanted an Art Deco look with gold piping. Cindy made her dream come true.
Sampling the cakes was a lovely experience. Cindy, whose voice and smile are as soft and sweet as her icing, invited us into a dining area done in lace and whitewashed furniture. A corner cabinet displayed her many awards. Sample cake mock ups lined the room. We were seated and got to try several cake and filling samples. They were all delicious!
Deciding was the only hard part.
Cindy delivered the cake to our venue and was happy to work with our caterer. She even returned at the end of the evening to pick up the gorgeous gold pedestal we rented from her.
I encourage anyone searching for a wedding cake baker to check out her page. Our cake, by choice, was not highly decorated, but you’ll see a variety in her pictures. Make an appointment for a sampling!

We used Cindy's cakery for our wedding day. About four months before our wedding, we had a major change in location and decided to change a few things with our cake because of it. Cindy did a wonderful job and had no issue with changing location. She also made the changes we wanted as needed with no extra cost. Cindy did an amazing job with our cake & it was amazing to eat! Best cake I’ve ever eaten, GF or otherwise
Cindy managed the impossible - a beautiful, delicious, reasonably-priced (gluten-free!) wedding cake. It was a wonderful part of our wedding and we both agree, if we did it all over again, we’d go straight back to Cindy!

Easy, delicious, beautiful
Cindy’s cake was tasty and gorgeous. She gave us exactly what we envisioned, and we never had to worry about a single thing from start to finish. We went with a larger cake for our guest count, but we wanted there to be more than enough for people to have multiple servings and it was well worth the money spent.

Wedding of the Decade
I contacted Cindy early in my wedding planning process to discuss cake types and design. I then took my time shopping around to make sure that this was the baker for me. I felt Cindy was knowledgeable about wedding cakes and had a many unique suggestions. The tasting went off perfectly and I decided this was the baker for our long awaited wedding. I am now seven weeks post wedding and the cake compliments keep pouring in. The cake was so moist and fresh. The sugar flowers were beautiful and the cake setup perfect. I really like to shop local and the fact that Cindy lives in my county was an added bonus. I highly recommend working with her on any event you may have.

Winter Wedding
Absolutley the best cake I have ever tasted. Cindy was amazing during the entire process from planning to our wedding set up. There are no words to describe how stunning our cake was. Our guests enjoyed it so much they were asking to take a slice to go as well. We will for sure be using Cindy for all of our cake needs in the future.

Our wedding cake was such a big hit and got SO many compliments. It was delicious also, it was so hard to pick 1 flavor at the tasting so 3 it was, White almond, chocolate and lemon😋 I would definitely recommend Cindys Cakery to anyone in need of a wedding cake or for any other occasion! Great wedding cake
We had Cindy do our wedding cake. It was delicious and beautiful! Everyone loved the triple berry flavor! We were even able to take the top of the cake home and enjoy at the next day at the after party! It was great, I highly recommend Cindy’s Cakery!

Cindy did an amazing job with our wedding cakes! We had a smaller cutting cake since I have a dairy allergy. The dairy free cake was delicious! Our guests loved the three different flavors we chose and even had an extra tier to take home after the wedding, which was eaten the next day at a post wedding family get together. I would recommend her to everyone!

Cindy and her cakes were absolutely AMAZING! From the very first contact, I knew that I would love working with her. We did our tasting and it was so hard to chose between the different flavors she offers-they all tasted wonderful. I showed her pictures of what we wanted and she made it come to life with a personal and special touch. I also asked her to make a surprise grooms cake and that was also fabulous & just what I wanted. Her cake was not only beautiful but delicious as well. Cindy was so kind and very nice to work with and I highly recommend her-you will not be disappointed!

We are so glad we chose Cindy to create our wedding cake. It was everything I imagined! Our guests raved about the different flavors they ate. We saved the top tier, which is in our freezer and I keep steeling petals from the sugar flowers.... I don't know if I'll be able to wait a year to eat that top tier!

Our cake was so gorgeous and delicious! Cindy was so easy to communicate with and allowed me to change my several times with what I wanted. Our cake was a piece of art. Cindy delivered the cake to our venue and was timely. She placed out cake topper and flowers on the cake for us perfectly. With all the little things that did not go exactly right on our wedding day, our cake was exactly what I pictured and wanted. If you are thinking about using Cindy as your cake baker, I recommend that you stop thinking about it and just do it! Thank you again Cindy.

Cindy's Cakery was fantastic! Absolutely delicious (we chose lemon+raspberry and vanilla+cherry), and the cake looked absolutely stunning (we went with the partially frosted design decorated with fresh fruit). Cindy was very accommodating and patient, which was greatly appreciated since I was arranging things from another country. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She really helped to make my wedding a wonderful event.
Looking forward to the 1st anniversary cake, too!

My husband and I were very happy with choosing Cindy's Cakery to bake our wedding cake. We loved that there are tons of cake flavor and filling options to select from. We had each tier of our cake be a different flavor/filling, which was fun and allowed guests to pick a flavor (or 3!) to eat. We tasted different cake/filling combinations and thought they were all amazing! She was also very helpful in giving ideas on how I could style my cake (flowers, pearls, etc) and with answering all of my questions!
