  Amazing food and amazing flexibility!!

  The food was outstanding and McDaniel spent a whole day prepping our food with love. We had to change plans multiple times due to having a baby then money complications and then changing dates to work with family schedules—McDaniel was so sweet and easy to work with. He bent over backwards for us and made sure our special day was perfect. He was quick to respond and always willing to work with us. We ended up not having a venue and did a super intimate wedding. We picked all the catering up and ate it at home with all our guests.
  
  The truffle Mac and cheese shooters and Simosas were delicious! We got spaghetti (homemade) with blackened chicken and filet mignon with roasted potatoes, Brussels, green beans, and garlic bread— all of which were delicious.
  
  I would 100% recommend Ciao y’all to anyone needing a caterer. He’s also very affordable in his pricing and really spends the time to make your big day special. McDaniel will work with you every step of the way and is so flexible with anything life May throw at you!

  Amazing vegan wedding experience with flexible menu and fun staff

  This catering service was an absolute pleasure to work with! The owner really worked with us on our all vegan menu. The seitan in our vegan bbq mac and cheese was perfectly seasoned and had amazing texture. We had eggplant as an entree and so many of my guests told me how much they liked it. They served all vegan canapés and the stuffed mushrooms were so delicious and loved by all the mushroom lovers in the group. We were completely stuffed by the end of the event. The staff was so much fun to work with and very amicable. We will definitely be checking out their food truck when we come back to Asheville.

  Cocktail Hour Caterer

  Ciao Y’all provided amazing food for our cocktail hour that everyone loved! They were very flexible and responsive. Would definitely recommend!

  Great service at our wedding

  McDaniel is super responsive and quick. He was mindful of our dietary restrictions. Would recommend for diverse crowd and eating habits (Muslims, Hindus, vegetarians, etc). Get the panini sliders for the late night menu. You’ll love it.

  Comfort Italian with lots of flavor.

  CiaoyallNC catered our wedding of 90 people in the North Carolina Mountains. The food was bountiful, flavorful, and comforting. The owner was available last minute to help us with a previous caterer issues and we appreciate his positive attitude and adaptability. Would recommend for some great food that fills you up!

  5 stars! pick Ciao Y'all!

  I was so excited when I found Ciao Y'all for my wedding. I wanted to do a food truck for the fun/low key vibe/Asheville experience but also wanted delicious food I'd be proud to serve to my guests.
  
  Ciao Y'all was the best of both worlds and the perfect fit. The food was delicious and at the high standards you would expect at a wedding (Smoked Prime rib and Truffled Lobster ravioli were our main entrees). And, from a cool locally-owned food truck!? Asheville was a destination wedding for us, so having this experience (vs. the standard wedding catering you can get anywhere) was a big hit with the guests.
  
  We had 130 guests at our wedding and I was concerned about long waits in the foot truck line. But they were really flexible and worked with me on this. We ended up doing a separate buffet style set up with the salads/sides/etc. so guests got their main entree from the truck and then got the rest from the buffet to help move the line faster, it worked out great! They also did a full cocktail hour set up with charcuterie and appetizers, it was all so good!
  
  Everything was amazing and surprisingly reasonably priced, I can't recommend them enough!

  Private chef

  Mac was awesome. He was the private chef for my small event for 12 people and it was great. He worked with me on a menu for brunch, appetizers, and dinner and all my guests were impressed. The only thing I would say would need improvement would be the clean up afterwards. The kitchen was very messy and took awhile for me to clean up from the countertops to the floors to the trash. I get when you hire a service that they do their main job but if they make a mess, it is expected to clean up to the original cleanliness

  Hire this food truck - you won't regret it!

  We hired McDaniel/Ciao Y’all to cater our rehearsal dinner and wedding over Labor Day weekend. First of all, we just want to give a round of applause to McDaniel and his team! They did a great job and truly helped make our day/weekend so special.
  We were a little apprehensive at first, only because we weren’t sure how it would work with a food truck catering our wedding rather than a typical wedding caterer. But him and his team killed it, we have absolutely no regrets in going with Ciao Y’all!
  
  During the whole process leading up to the wedding, McDaniel was communicative (and responded promptly), flexible, and did his best to accommodate what we were wanting for food/things while keeping things reasonable and at an affordable cost for us. The food was delicious, and that was confirmed over and over again from many of our guests.
  
  Having a food truck cater our wedding was a blast. If you’re looking for a fun, unique caterer to cater your wedding, we totally recommend hiring a food truck - specifically, Ciao Y’all! You won’t regret it.

  Very Disappointed

  I hate writing bad reviews! But I was really disappointed with the quality of food at our Daughter's wedding this month. The brisket was cut in thick slabs and was dry. The Italian green beans were flavorless and undercooked. We were meant to have ciabatta rolls with garlic olive oil, instead we had slices of white bread. The salads were good. Our canapes were very uninviting. I was not impressed and neither were our guests. I hope it was just a bad night for McDaniel as I wish him the best.

  Not good poor service

  Positive: The food itself was excellent, except the two trays of potatoes were hard as rocks and inedible.
  
  Negative: They arrived a full hour late for our rehearsal dinner, with lots of excuses. There was not enough food for 30 people. Everyone had one helping, and the food was gone. My wife and I did not eat. They brought one half tray of meatballs and one half tray of chicken. They did not bring enough plates, no knives, no napkins. They provided us forks that were so cheap that they repeatedly snapped in peoples hands. Guests were actually laughing. I urge you to find another caterer.
