The food was outstanding and McDaniel spent a whole day prepping our food with love. We had to change plans multiple times due to having a baby then money complications and then changing dates to work with family schedules—McDaniel was so sweet and easy to work with. He bent over backwards for us and made sure our special day was perfect. He was quick to respond and always willing to work with us. We ended up not having a venue and did a super intimate wedding. We picked all the catering up and ate it at home with all our guests.
The truffle Mac and cheese shooters and Simosas were delicious! We got spaghetti (homemade) with blackened chicken and filet mignon with roasted potatoes, Brussels, green beans, and garlic bread— all of which were delicious.
I would 100% recommend Ciao y’all to anyone needing a caterer. He’s also very affordable in his pricing and really spends the time to make your big day special. McDaniel will work with you every step of the way and is so flexible with anything life May throw at you! -

The food from Ciao Y'all really made the night special. Everyone was so impressed with the food and were even able to go back for seconds we had so much food left over. The steak and pork were cooked perfectly and the pasta bar made it to where everyone got exactly what they wanted. They even gave us a salad for free, which we hadn't initially been able to afford. They worked with me so much and answered all of my questions at all times of the day. They called me to check in and even made arrangements for me and my husband to do a tasting which was well worth our 8 hour drive. We felt so taken care of and got so many reviews on how this was the best food any of our guests had ever had at a wedding!Ciao Y'all's reply:

I cannot recommend Ciao Y'all enough!!! I have celiac disease, and when we first started wedding planning, we decided that it would be a 100% gluten-free wedding. Living in WNC, finding a GF caterer was a bit of a struggle, but the search was absolutely worth it!!! To start, the food is absolutely amazing. My Italian family and my husband's Southern family raved about the food—and have continued to do so a week after the wedding! As someone who has to be GF, I have run into individuals who will price gouge and make a profit off the dietary restriction; this could not be further from what happened! McDaniels was completely transparent, honest, and communicative about food cost, especially with the gluten-free accommodations. If you are getting married with dietary restrictions, know that you will be taken care of. I am very sensitive to gluten - more sensitive than the legal limit for "gluten"-free"—and didn't have any issues after the tasting or the wedding -- okay, I did overeat, but that was entirely my own fault ;)
Then, as though wedding planning isn't stressful enough, Hurricane Helene came and really threw a wrench into things. We got married in Hendersonville, NC, on 10/19/2024. The magical miracle that McDaniels pulled off to make my wedding perfect was beyond my wildest dreams. My priorities was everyone's safety and well-being, and I had made peace with the fact that my wedding was going to look different from how I had planned it. Due to the incredible effort from McDaniels and his team, as well as our vendors, absolutely nothing had to be compromised!!!!
Whether looking for a dietary-friendly wedding or just looking for some incredible Italian-Southern inspired food, Ciao Y'all is the caterer for you!!! -

Ciao Y'all catered my daughter's wedding at Homewood in June 2024. They did an amazing job and were wonderful work with. Everyone loved the food and I highly recommend. -

CiaoyallNC catered our wedding of 90 people in the North Carolina Mountains. The food was bountiful, flavorful, and comforting. The owner was available last minute to help us with a previous caterer issues and we appreciate his positive attitude and adaptability. Would recommend for some great food that fills you up! -

Mac was awesome. He was the private chef for my small event for 12 people and it was great. He worked with me on a menu for brunch, appetizers, and dinner and all my guests were impressed. The only thing I would say would need improvement would be the clean up afterwards. The kitchen was very messy and took awhile for me to clean up from the countertops to the floors to the trash. I get when you hire a service that they do their main job but if they make a mess, it is expected to clean up to the original cleanliness -

I hate writing bad reviews! But I was really disappointed with the quality of food at our Daughter's wedding this month. The brisket was cut in thick slabs and was dry. The Italian green beans were flavorless and undercooked. We were meant to have ciabatta rolls with garlic olive oil, instead we had slices of white bread. The salads were good. Our canapes were very uninviting. I was not impressed and neither were our guests. I hope it was just a bad night for McDaniel as I wish him the best.
