great music all night long

Chuck was so great!!! We first heard about Chuck from a few friends of my mom who used him for their kids weddings in the past. He is nice and easy to work with - really a great guy. Communication was easy through phone and emails. He was very helpful with providing song lists to get ideas for first dance, etc. and our dance floor was packed all night! We got many compliments from numerous guests that they had a great time dancing. Would definitely recommend!

Exactly What we Wanted

With very little input from us, Chuck was able to put together a playlist that had everyone dancing. He was very professional and straightforward with us during our initial consultation, which allowed us to make the right choice hiring him. We also hired Chuck's very talented son Jonathan to play acoustic guitar during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Jonathan arranged a custom song for our processional. A great father/son team.

Chuck is the best!

Chuck was the DJ for both mine and my sister's weddings. He is great to work with and makes the experience easy. Chuck definitely knows how to read a room and keep the guests on their feet! He was also wonderful with cutting down the songs we wanted for the first dance and father/daughter dance to more reasonable lengths. Chuck also reviewed our playlists on Spotify prior to our wedding to get a good idea of what we like to listen to. His son, Jonathan, did a great job with playing the guitar for our ceremony. We had specific songs that we wanted and he was great about giving us multiple options of how he could play the songs. We also had his pianist, Martin, for our cocktail hour. It was wonderful to listen to the piano and start to bring up the energy level post ceremony and pre reception. I highly recommend having Chuck, Jonathan, and Martin at your event!

Chuck will have you dancing all night!

Chuck was so much fun to work with and to have at our wedding (October 2022). He is very professional, responsive, and accommodating. He has a great energy; I remember feeling uplifted and excited after going over plans with him on the phone in the midst of stressful wedding planning. He came through on his promise to have everyone dancing all night and made some excellent music selections to complement our requested songs. Everyone from our friends in their 20s to our grandparents raved about the music. His team also did a wonderful job with the uplighting, which gave a soft ambiance to the event. Thank you to Chuck and his team for sharing a special night with us.

Amazing! So many compliments from our guests!

Chuck was absolutely amazing! He 1000% understood the assignment and played all of our favorite songs. He was very open to our suggestions and very easy to work with. He gave us great advice on specific song choices which was appreciated. We received so MANY compliments on how great he was. During the ceremony and cocktail his son played beautiful music on his guitar which everyone really enjoyed. At our reception, EVERYONE was on the dance floor all night and having a great time. I was for sure dancing the night the way. He did a great job transitioning English songs to Spanish songs! The uplighting and ambiance was amazing and everyone enjoyed the photobooth! My favorite part was being able to keep a copy of everyone's photo and they were kind enough to put it in an album for us! We highly recommend Chuck! Thank you so much for bringing so much fun to our wedding.

Amazing DJ!

Chuck was absolutely the perfect DJ, we booked him for our NJ wedding and could not have been happier! He was a true professional, the planning process was smooth, and he was always available for a chat or phone call. The day of the wedding everyone RAVED about the music and several people told me they have never been to a wedding with so much dancing! We had an absolute blast and 100% recommend Chuck to anyone looking for a wedding DJ!

Use Chuck for your wedding!

Chuck was so easy to work with and very friendly. He has many calls with us to discuss our ideas and questions. He helped us choreograph the evening with songs, song selections, advice, and opinions. Everything was perfect – Chuck did our ceremony music, cocktail hour, and reception. He was on time, and it was all flawless. The uplighting and ambiance were wonderful, exactly what we asked for. He catered to our interests and requests quite well. Use Chuck for your wedding – he is great and played more actual songs rather than DJ hits/beats/transitions. We loved our music, would use him again, and had no problems nor complaints.

All that we could have hoped for and more!

Chuck was 1000% all we could have hoped for and more in a wedding DJ! He is the consummate pro. He made us feel like we were his most important clients. He was communicative, a great listener, and really did everything he could to make his job all about us. He made the entire day, from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception, so extra special, and absolutely nailed it every step of the way. A DJ can really make or break the life of the day, especially the reception, setting the tone musically. Chuck is an absolute master at it. He is a master of his craft. We can’t thank him enough for all he did and how he did it. Hire him, you will not regret it. He was without a doubt our favorite and best vendor.

Made our day magical!

If I had to pick one vendor from our wedding day that we would not change, it would have to be our DJ, Chuck Russo. Besides the obvious (playing great tunes throughout the night and keeping our dance floor PACKED), he managed the whole night beautifully (pronouncing names correctly, making announcements we had requested previously, etc.). My advice: We gave Chuck a few "must play" songs, one or two genres we didn't want to hear, and left it at that. Chuck is an experienced professional, so if you give him the freedom & flexibility to do his job -- he will SHINE & knows how to play a room. The phot booth was fantastic as well (we often pull out the album to look at the photos & laugh). Cannot recommend enough...11 out of 10 stars.

Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night thanks to Chuck!

We knew Chuck from my sister and brother in law's wedding and a few other family weddings he worked before we decided to hire him. At every wedding we've been to where Chuck provided the music, the dance floor was never empty! We had to postpone our 2020 wedding due to the pandemic and Chuck made the process of postponing to 2021 easy and stress free for us. Our guests all raved about how wonderful the mix of music was at our wedding and how much fun everyone had dancing all night! The photo booth was another fun thing that Chuck provided for our guests and we got the pictures to keep and look back on for years to come. We highly recommend Chuck to anyone planning a wedding- my sister in law is actually having Chuck at her wedding in October and we're looking forward to another fun night of dancing and music thanks to Chuck!

Amazing, all my guests are asking for his info!

Chuck is THE BEST!! He made our wedding literally amazing! We changed our date twice due to covid and he rolled with it so seamlessly and was so easy to work with. And he just knows how to ready the crowd! He went along so well with every situation and just made the wedding that much more memorable. Every single guest had such great things to say about him, and everyone is talking about how great my DJ was!! Just the best! HIGHLY recommend!!!

Kept everyone dancing

Chuck made our wedding reception so much fun! He played a great variety and kept everyone dancing all night. We also had him do our uplighting - which made the Conservatory at the Madison Hotel look magical and our photobooth - which was a fun addition that our guests enjoyed and we now have an album of really fun guest photos from. He also had his son play classical guitar during our cocktail hour, which was a nice addition to the night. Could not recommend Chuck enough!

Nothing short of amazing!!

From the moment me and my husband met Chuck he was extremely helpful and had great advice. He was also always available to answer any questions and made us feel so calm leading up to the big day. Chuck's son played the acoustic guitar during the ceremony which I highly recommend. He is extremely talented and it was so beautiful to walk down the aisle too. I'll never forget it.
Now on to the reception.. Chuck kept everything flowing so smoothly! We had a crowd that's ages varied from upper 20's to 80's. Chuck played music that kept our dance floor packed all night with everyone!! Also, there was another party going on in the venue and Chuck stopped those attendees from crashing our wedding. DJ and security all in one! Thank you so much Chuck for everything!!

The perfect DJ for your wedding!!

We can’t say enough great things about having Chuck as a DJ for our wedding. We came across him at a bridal showcase at the Madison Hotel (he is the only DJ recommended by the hotel) and we loved the music he played and how he interacted with the crowd. Chuck’s prices were very reasonable compared to other DJs in the area. He was so personable and responded to all emails very quickly. He never tried to take over our reception or make it about him. He played all of the songs we asked him to play. All of our guests complimented the playlist and spoke so highly of our DJ. Chuck - thank you so much for everything! We had an amazing experience with you and would recommend you over and over again.

Outstanding!

Better than a band! I can't say anything bad about Chuck Russo. He was absolutely amazing! We used him for our ceremony music, cocktail hour, reception, and up-lighting. We booked him about a year in advance, and a couple weeks before the wedding started communicating with him more about the details. He was responsive (better by phone than email), had plenty of resources for us, had such a great attitude, and shared a lot of excitement for our upcoming wedding, all while remaining completely professional. The day of our wedding, everything ran incredibly smoothly. We pulled a couple audibles with how we were going to be walking into the reception and a few other things that he was very flexible with, but most importantly, people were dancing all night long! So many people after the wedding told me that the music was so good, they couldn't take breaks because they didn't want to miss any of the songs. At one point, our photographers pulled my husband and I out to take some night pictures, and it was really neat walking back into the reception and seeing the dance floor packed, regardless of whether we were our there or not. It confirmed what I felt about the whole evening, that people were out there because they were having a blast! I also had a ton of people tell me after the wedding that it was the most fun they ever had at a wedding. I know it's nerve wracking booking a DJ that you have never witnessed in action, but you cannot go wrong with Chuck Russo. He was phenomenal!

Simply the Best

We were looking for a DJ that would work with my and my now Wife, non specific taste in music
Chuck met with us in Person to get a feel of the types of musical styling we would enjoy, and offered several well formulated ideas of song & playlists.
We had the idea of playing mostly Anime/ Gaming/ SciFi music for out Cocktail Hour, which Chuck triple checked with us to make sure the music was exactly what we wanted, the setup was perfect and Chuck was always in the wings if a last second change was needed.
As others have said he has the "voice" and did a fantastic job for all introduction, double checking for proper pronunciation days before the ceremony.
Of the two great compliments I can give,
1 - Chuck is the one part of the ensemble cast of characters to make a wedding that you do not have to worry about, the Olde Mill Inn says of Chuck "He works here for than the Matre' D, His professionalism and attentiveness is one less worry on your day.
2- For weeks after the Wedding I have been fielding notes and emails from attendees complimenting the DJ making a wonderful Reception and having certain songs stuck in their heads for days afterwards.
Thank you Chuck, Alas I have but one Wedding to Plan, but I thank you for making it Great!

People were dancing all night!

Chuck has done a number of events for my family, so it was an easy choice to go with him (it helped that he was on our venue's recommended vendors list too). We've been to weddings where the DJ tried to be the center of attention, or they only play one style of music. Chuck did a phenomenal job of reading the crowd, and the dance floor was literally packed all night. We would highly recommend!

Fantastic DJ!

Chuck Russo provided the ceremony music, a jazz trio for our cocktail hour as well as the reception music. He was very prepared and arrived early to make sure the sound (for our beach ceremony) was perfect. The jazz trio really elevated the event and was a nice touch. During the reception, he played all of our must plays and kept the guests dancing throughout the night! Many people complimented our music after the wedding. We highly recommend Chuck for your next event!

If you want someone with class, experience and a great deal of enthusiasm, someone who wants your wedding to be what YOU want it to be, not a platform for his own performance, then you want Chuck Russo to be your DJ. We met Chuck at an expo at the Olde Mill Inn and were very impressed by his passion and thirty years of experience. We thought he might be a good fit. We had been pitched by outfits and individuals who were into creating bombastic productions, but he seemed different. He presented himself as a DJ who worked with a couple to create the wedding they envision rather than someone who seeks the spotlight for himself. Our fear was that he would be too expensive. We contacted him anyway and found instead that he is incredibly reasonably priced! We appreciated his quick and informative communication and his invitation to come see him work. We took him up on his offer and went to see his introductions for a wedding at the Madison Hotel. Boy are we glad we did. He was exactly as he presented himself. He was not flash and bombast. He wasn’t in the middle of the dance floor. He was classy and professional. We made our decision then and are forever grateful for the DJ we got.
Chuck talked to us before the wedding and mapped out our intros and special songs. He inquired about basics and variations—in short his communication was terrific, and his attention to detail superb. At the wedding he was the definition of what we wanted in a DJ—classy, cool, and cooperative. In our eyes he was perfect. My wife gave him an extensive list of songs and he played most of them and also mixed in requests from our guests (even one he didn’t think he had but found for my best man!) and reading the crowd beautifully to keep the night moving and keep everyone happy—and they were. That NIGHT we were getting compliments on our music, from my wife’s nineteen year old niece to her ninety-three year-old dad. We still hear them!--Bill and Rowena

Chuck Russo was a perfect DJ for our wedding. He made sure he knew our music preferences, had great suggestions for ceremony, cocktail and pre event music options. Our guests didn't want to leave the dance floor and said that they didn't hear a "bad" song all night. It made our wedding entertainment absolutely perfect! Chuck was my 1st choice, not only because I work with him and he's a super cool guy, but because he ALWAYS has people out on the dance floor. No matter if it's as small as a 40-person wedding like mine was, everyone was dancing and had a lot of fun!! He's knows his stuff, and he can work the crowd. And he made us feel very much at ease.

When planning my wedding, one of my top priorities was picking music / entertainment that would make the guests dance and ensure they had a good time, regardless of age. We went back and forth between a band and DJ, and then we spoke to Chuck and knew he was the right choice. He just seemed to understand exactly what he needed, likely because he has been doing weddings for so long. He did not disappoint - he was the absolute best choice and was a key part of making our wedding so fun. He knew just what to play and when and could read the crowd perfectly. I could go on and on, but it's best explained by the fact that the dance floor was never empty. Everyone cannot stop talking about how much fun they had dancing two weeks after the wedding. Beyond that, Chuck was so thorough with the little details that make a big difference- i.e. name pronunciation of of bridal party/parents, fading out of the Father daughter dance at just the right time, ensuring guest joined us at just the right point during the first dance song etc etc. He was absolutely amazing, and I really cannot recommend him highly enough!!!

Our dance floor was full of people dancing the entire night! Chuck was awesome and we got SOO many compliments on the music at our wedding. Hire no one else but Chuck--he is PHENOMENAL! He is kind, thoughtful, professional and a genius when it comes to events. Chuck was my cousins DJ a year before my wedding. We had a blast dancing at her wedding and knew we wanted Chuck to be our DJ. Our wedding was vintage theme and we knew we needed a classy DJ at our wedding. We didn't want a DJ passing out glow and the dark necklaces and sunglasses to our guests. We sent Chuck a list of songs to play . He played a lot of the songs on the list and knew the best order to flow the songs. Our dance floor was always filled throughout the night. We are glad we hired Chuck to be our DJ at our wedding and would highly recommend him.

Chuck IS: A true professional. Will listen to exactly what you want and don’t want. Will work with you and your specific music tastes. Will make sure the music at your wedding keeps the party going!!

Chuck was very professional, classy, prompt, well dressed, attentive, thorough, and easy to communicate with!! Need I say more? He was everything I could ask for, and covered all the bases - I didn't need to remember all the different traditions that are normally followed in a wedding. Chuck was AMAZING! We are still getting compliments on the music!! He had people up dancing the whole time, playing most of the songs on our "must" list. He really listened to what we wanted and paid attention to the type of guests we had at our wedding.
Chuck is easy going and very fun to work with. He announced everyone very naturally so it didn't feel like we were at the circus. He also provided the photo booth with an album, sign and two helpers, plus uplighting! Like I said, he was amazing!

Chuck did the music at my daughter's wedding reception 2 weeks ago. His son Jonathan did the instrumentals during the wedding ceremony. We couldn't have asked for two more fabulous people to supply our music. They worked with my daughter on song choices and the moments for which she should have special song choices. Their equipment provided great sounds (crisp, clear music and vocals) at appropriate levels for dancing, introductions or speeches. And Chuck keep everyone dancing! He worked well with the maitre d' at the venue to keep everything flowing smoothly from intros to first dances to speeches to dancing to garter and flowers to more dancing......everything was seamless. He is an amazing DJ and we are so happy he did our daughter's wedding! Thank you Chuck and Jonathan.

Chuck Russo is an amazing disk jockey! We wanted a DJ who could get everyone to get up and dance without feeling like we were at a club at the Jersey Shore. He is very classy and professional. We gave him a list of songs we wanted to hear as well as songs that we definitely did not want to hear. He played everything that we asked for as well of lots of others that went along with our general preferences. Chuck has so much experience that he can give you very helpful advice. I would recommend hiring Chuck if you want a professional DJ who will keep your wedding day classy! After seeing him at work at my wedding, my cousin has already hired him for her wedding. Chuck Russo was the absolute best choice for our wedding on October 22, 2016 at the Olde Mill Inn! We met Chuck at a bridal show at the Olde Mill Inn and we knew as soon as we met him that he was going to be our DJ. From that very introduction Chuck was courteous, friendly, informative, and helpful. He didn't have the typical over the top, obnoxious sales pitch compared to most DJ/entertainment groups we came across. He was the first and only DJ we met with and we are so glad it worked out for us. Shortly after we met him at the bridal show, he quickly responded to our inquiry to meet up in order to discuss business. He came fully prepared with a complete portfolio and answered any questions we had for him. He used to be an on-air professional DJ for many years before starting up his own business and it was very clear that he knew what he was doing. We were not looking for the typical DJ that you see at a lot of events, the kind that has a million people working per event that seem like they want all the attention for themselves. We had observed a lot of these types at other bridal shows and Chuck made it known from the start that if that's what we wanted, he was definitely not the guy. Lucky for us Chuck is what we were looking for! He offered us a promotional package which included ceremony music (his son, a guitarist), uplighting for the ballroom, and a photo booth. The pricing was very affordable and a great value. Everything was exactly what we wanted and more. Everyone is still complimenting us on how great our entertainment was. We are attending two weddings this year that Chuck will be DJ'ing and we can't wait! If you are looking for a professional, seasoned, pleasant, amazing DJ then Chuck Russo is your guy! Chuck did a fantastic job at our wedding! He was the DJ for our reception, and his son played the guitar for our cocktail hour. We also rented a photobooth through him, and everyone loved it! Chuck was our DJ for our wedding two weeks ago. He did an outstanding job making sure all our requests were met. We had a very specific plan for the ceremony music, which included a live singer that Chuck did not meet until the day of, and my mother playing the harp while plugged into his sound system. Chuck made sure that everything ran seamlessly and the ceremony music turned out perfect. The reception music was just as flawless. We gave Chuck a list of songs we wanted played and the timing of each. Every single song we asked for was played at the correct time. My husband did a solo dance in the middle of the reception and Chuck got it going and got everyone out to watch. I also gave him specific cultural music to play during the reception only 2 hours before the wedding started and Chuck had no problem executing my last minute request. We are so happy with Chuck's service and we definitely recommend him to anyone who wants a professional, accommodating and knowledgable DJ.

Chuck is the BEST! He did an awesome job at our wedding - from the music on the beach for our wedding ceremony to the music at our indoor reception - he never skipped a beat. Chuck Russo was amazing to work with!! We had him do our Reception music, photobooth, and uplighting, all of which were incredible. He was a recommended vendor at the Olde Mill Inn where we were married. Of all the vendors we researched, he was by far the most experienced, professional, and organized DJ (check out his website!) He has this down to a science with very simple forms to fill out to get a feel of the flow of events, people involved, toasts, musical preferences. He even called a few days prior to our wedding to make sure he had correct pronunciations of names in our bridal party. He gave us most requested songs lists from every genre to choose from, but he has access to anything and everything you could want to hear. We are a very eclectic bunch musically. The bride's side were country music lovers and professional ballroom dancers. The grooms side are 80's rock era lovers. He definitely had his hands full, but pulled it all together seamlessly. He has a wonderful voice and presence. We could not have asked for more! He far exceeded our expectations. Everyone had a blast. Thanks Chuck!

We went to Chuck Russo based on a personal recommendation as also meeting him at the pre-wedding event.
Our was an interfaith, intercultural wedding with special requests made for Indian and American music.
That being said we did not know how to go about planning the day and had no wedding planner.
Chuck worked very patiently to first understand who we were and what we were looking for. He reassured us that he would take care of the wedding and reception music and keep the crowd engaged and dancing through the night.

Let me just say we had a fantastic wedding and reception. All our requests were incorporated and he did a phenomenal job mixing the Indian and American music while keeping the crowd entertained. Many of our guests still complement us on how well put together our wedding day was. All we put together was extremely professional people like Chuck and the rest was taken care of.

As advertised they was no fist pumping music and our wedding did not turn into a nightclub. The music played was temporally perfect and kept us dancing all night long. In regards the price he is very reasonable for the quality of service provided.

We are thankful to Chuck for being there for us and give him our highest recommendation.

Chuck was an amazing DJ! He was very open to the song list that my fiance and I had sent to him. This was important to us, as we are huge music lovers! Most DJs stick with the same list of songs and often don't want to stray from this. But Chuck is unlike any other DJ in that his musical experience allows him to work with song choices and know where to place them. We were thrilled with the amount of our requested songs that were played and the ones Chuck threw in to keep the party going were perfect! It was amazing to see so many of our guests on the dance floor and more and more were dancing as the night went on! He is extremely professional, very responsive and a joy to speak with! Our DJ package included a photo booth and up-lighting and I would highly suggest this to anyone. The guests loved the photo booth and we received a book with a duplicate of everyone's pictures, a wonderful keepsake! The lighting was spectacular! It really set the mood and was a wonderful addition to the music! Trust me, it's worth it to have this package.
All in all, our wedding reception would not have been the same without Chuck as our DJ. Everything run so smoothly and everyone had so much fun!! Thanks, Chuck!

My first and strongest comment regarding Chuck is his utmost professionalism. From our very first meeting I could tell his background, experience and attention to detail stood out compared to other DJs I had met with. Other DJ companies randomly assign you a DJ the day of your wedding--a DJ whom you've never met, never worked with, and flat out don't know. Chuck PERSONALLY invests himself in making sure your wedding day is everything you want it to be. Chuck balances giving the bride and groom everything they want musically with making recommendations based on his experiences. Chuck perfectly executed our "special song requests" and constantly read the vibe of our guests to play the right songs at the right times. He was also able to book us a lighting technician which had an enormously positive impact on the overall atmosphere.
Aside from providing our music during the ceremony, Chuck also was able to connect me with The Nova Trio--a jazz band exclusively available through Chuck Russo Entertainment. The Nova Trio played during our cocktail hour and their performance was one of the biggest compliments we received regarding our wedding. They played Top 40 hits, classic rock and more--all in a very cool, very smooth jazz vibe.
Also, through Chuck we were also able to book a Violin and Cello duo to play during our ceremony, which added an unbelievably beautiful atmosphere to the day. They were even able to arrange and play a special song request that was particularly important to my bride.
Last, but certainly not least, I will say that all of the amazing services Chuck Russo provided (DJ, The Nova Trio, Strings Duo and lighting) come at a very affordable rate. Chuck was able to work within our budget and never made us feel pressured into services we didn't want or need. I highly recommend Chuck Russo to anyone looking for a highly professional, accommodating, versatile and affordable DJ for their wedding.

Chuck did an amazing/wonderful/above-and-beyond job DJ-ing our January 23rd wedding.

First and foremost, you may have noticed that 1/23/16 was the blizzard of the century. Not only did Chuck show up early to set up, he got stuck on the side of the road & had to get someone to tow him out of the snow- and he was still there! Then, he stayed overnight when the weather got too bad to drive! Just amazing. Chuck provided reassurances the whole week before our wedding as we panicked about the snow and we knew that we were going to have a DJ at our wedding no matter the weather.

Second, he played a great mix of old and new hits that had all of our guests dancing the whole night. We sent him a lengthy list of songs to play and he got a feel for the crowd and played the ones that fit them best. The whole room was on their feet through the entire reception! We had so many requests from our guests for his contact information so they could use him for their own events.

Third, I have to mention his lighting designer, Anthony, who lit the reception room. Anthony also made it to our wedding in the blizzard, made the room look like a winter wonderland & fulfilled every dream I ever had about how the room would look.

If you have a wedding in the New York/New Jersey metro area, you MUST use Chuck! He was available, kind, reassuring, dependable and the best DJ I've ever worked with.

My husband and I were very pleased with our experience working with Chuck Russo as our dj for our wedding reception. Guests continue to tell us what an amazing time they had during our reception, and we owe so much of that to Chuck. He has such a talent for managing both the flow of music as well as the diversity of styles of music throughout a reception. He took all of our requests/suggestions (including those songs we did not want played) into consideration and he arranged the music throughout the night in such a way that there were consistently guests on the dance floor. We also worked with Chuck to arrange a photo booth for the evening, which was a big hit with our guests.

We really enjoyed working with Chuck in the months leading up to our wedding. He is incredibly professional, and this was apparent with us from our first conversation with him. He has a ton of experience both in radio and at weddings, and he did not hesitate to give us his professional opinion, which we appreciated. However, there were a few times when we would need to follow up on emails we had sent to him with questions, but we recognize this was just a case of him being constantly busy with upcoming weddings, and we probably also had unreasonable expectations for responsiveness.

We highly recommend working with Chuck for your wedding. He is classy, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and will make sure you and your guests have a phenomenal time!

We had an intimate wedding with only 50 guests - no one attending was under the age of 21 and in fact, our guests skewed a bit older so we knew we did not want some Jersey Shore, fist-bumping roid-head as our DJ. We hired Chuck Russo to DJ our Wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the Madison Hotel. We were exceptionally pleased with him. To put it simply Chuck is a class act and a great guy. From the first meeting we had with Chuck, we knew he would be the DJ for our wedding. He had a flexible meeting schedule and he came prepared. I'll start with an honest story of how I had originally hired a different DJ who turned out to be very shady and we let them go 2 months before the wedding. My venue recommended Chuck Russo and when my dad called and explained our situation, Chuck was in our living room THAT NIGHT to talk it out and assure us he'd make our wedding wonderful.... he totally delivered.

2 weeks before the wedding Chuck called to go over my play/do not play list. He also went over the schedule of the reception events. He has all the music you could ever want and has lots of suggestions on what to play for what parts of the night.

I can't tell you the number of compliments I received regarding the variety of music at our wedding. In addition to playing everything I had requested, the other music he chose was right in line with our taste, based on our list! Our dance floor was never empty.

In NJ, a lot of the DJ's are typical fist pumping jersey shore types with flashy colored lights and very pushy advertising. Chuck is not this-- he is classy, direct, and upfront with you about what your day is going to be like. He was a very tasteful emcee as well.

Chuck Russo is a true professional and was absolutely wonderful at our wedding! I recommend him 100%!

I got married on October tenth 2014 and honestly could not have asked for a better DJ. Chuck not only has a wonderful personality but he is a hard worker and will do all he can to accommodate you on your special day. Chuck works on his own and literally does it all!! He is amazing at what he does and will provide his absolute HONEST opinions and input when asked (I was having trouble with ceremony music and he helped me work out my thoughts and feelings on a lot of my choices). Chuck is a DJ who is willing to listen and take all of your ideas into consideration in order to put them into play. Chuck is great on emails, follow-up emails and phone calls and will be sure to get in touch with you if he has any questions or is unsure on how you want something. First of all, I have to note that my family, including my parents' wedding, has not only been using Chuck Russo for weddings for years, but they LOVE Chuck! Once my husband and I sat and spoke with Chuck, we both knew immediately that Chuck was going to be our DJ. Not only is Chuck extremely professional and kind, but he had the experience that we wanted and the no-nonsense attitude that I really appreciated. Throughout the wedding process, Chuck responded in a timely matter to any questions I had and went above and beyond for me if I had any questions for him. The reception was SO much fun thanks to him! I did not want the party to end. I can assure you that Chuck plays an extremely wide range of music, from music that our friends (my husband and I are in our early 20s, and our friends and majority of cousins are that age as well), family and older relatives truly enjoyed. My number one necessity for my wedding was the music would get people onto the dance floor the entire night - and Chuck did just that! People are STILL coming up to me and raving about how much fun they had with my DJ!! Chuck did such an amazing job of getting everyone out on the dance floor all night long. Chuck Russo was the absolute perfect DJ for our wedding! My husband and I, being old school goth/new wave music lovers, we ran into a lot of DJ’s who just didn’t get our musical taste. When I told Chuck, I wanted someone who could play Sinatra to The Smiths; he knew exactly what we were talking about. The dance floor was packed all night! So many of our guests came up to us and said they haven’t danced like that in ages! It was always fun and Chuck never uses gimmicks which is what we prefer. He even played The Time Warp as a special request. If you are not the biggest fan of “today’s music” and you are looking for a professional who really knows his music, trust me and pick Chuck Russo. Chuck was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He has a great personality, his prices are reasonable, he was very responsive during our planning process, and he was willing to work with us to ensure we had the playlist and the atmosphere we were looking for. We made a "please play" list and a "please do not play" list, which he stuck to, and was good at reading the crowd and playing a mix of music that kept people on the dance floor all night! He's a great MC, announcing enough to keep things moving and to make sure everything gets done, but not trying to steal the show or put on a performance. My in laws were seriously against a DJ, but came up to both me and to Chuck afterward and said they were wrong and he had done a great job. We got a ton of comments on how much fun the wedding was. We have no complaints, and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding DJ.

We wanted a DJ who is laid back and would get the crowd going without playing group games or interacting too much with the crowd. We got exactly what we wanted with Chuck. Other than picking songs for our first dance, reception entrance and cake cutting, we left the rest up to him. We were married at Park Avenue Club on July 26, 2014 and hired Chuck Russo as our DJ. I had met Chuck Russo at a bridal event held at Park Avenue Club and my husband and I met with him shortly after and knew immediately we would be booking him. We didn't even have to look at anyone else! He truly is the best at what he does. He was very responsive to any questions/concerns we had and always answered in a timely manner. We are big dancers and wanted the dance floor to be packed all night and Chuck did not disappoint. The dance floor was crowded the ENTIRE night! We made a few suggestions as to what we wanted but Chuck did a fantastic job at reading the crowd to make sure the dance floor was always occupied. The other thing that we liked about him isWe are still receiving compliments about the music. You know you've hired a good DJ when family members that are known not to set foot on the dance floor are on the dance floor! Chuck was super accommodating and the whole evening was flawless. I attribute that to Chuck's professionalism and the fact that has such a good relationship with our venue.

Chuck is an amazing DJ! He did my sisters wedding a few years back and he was the first phone call I made when I got engaged because of the job he did for my sister! Not only is Chuck so easy to work with, he has a talent for surveying the crowd and making sure he plays music that will have everyone of all ages consistently on the dance floor! In addition to that, Chuck played any songs we requested, and even gave advice for some music to play for specific events of the evening (bouquet/garter/cake cutting). Another huge plus for us was that Chuck keeps his music at an enjoyable noise level. During dinner he makes it easy to hold conversation, and knows when to turn the music up to party! My husband and I can't say enough about Chuck. He threw an amazing party at such a reasonable price! Many of our guests came up to us to compliment the music! Anyone would be lucky to have Chuck as their DJ!

My husband and I knew Chuck would be our DJ as soon as we followed the recommendation of our venue and first read his self description and FAQ on his website: he sounded extremely professional, no-nonsense, warm and possessed a DJ-quality voice. That was exactly who Chuck was. He was highly professional and responsible: he met us a month ahead of our wedding day to get the gist of our wedding reception ideas, accommodated all our plans and wishes for the wedding reception, made sure he had all the information he needed days before the wedding, and helped us practice our first dance as we sneaked into the dance floor during the cocktail hour! We and our guests certainly had a fun dancing evening and active dancing floor because of Chuck's DJ skills and equipments. I definitely would recommend Chuck to other couples! He is a great DJ! Chuck Russo was the type of DJ that my wife and I wanted. He is not the flashy type and did not make the wedding about his performance. What Chuck did do, however, was help to establish a flow during our reception that allowed everyone to have a good time. Chuck is by far the best wedding DJ around. We’ve attended a few weddings where Chuck was the DJ, and he was phenomenal. When it came time for us to pick our own wedding DJ, we knew that it had to be Chuck.

We received numerous compliments from guests immediately after our wedding about our DJ. Everyone loved Chuck! He kept our guests dancing the entire night, and we couldn't have imagined a better event.

Chuck Russo provided us with an amazing wedding DJ! I chose this company because three of my family members have used him for their weddings in the past ten years. Many of our guests complimented the great music and we had dancers on the floor all night long. Within the first 5 minutes of our first consultation, Danny and I knew Chuck Russo was the one. His professional experience was an instant sell point. On the day of our wedding, we appreciated each song choice he played. Every guest enjoyed the music. Chuck was the DJ for both of my sisters' weddings so naturally, I had to have him at mine. My husband actually wanted a live band but after having so much fun at my sister's wedding he agreed we had to have Chuck. He really knows how to get the crowd on the dance floor! Chuck did an AMAZING job at our wedding! We didn't want the typical cookie cutter wedding music (Shout, We are Family, Respect, etc), so we came up with a rather long list of songs we preferred. Chuck took that list and worked magic. He didn't stray from that list once and played some really hard to find songs. He used his knowledge of being a good DJ to play the right music at the right time. The dance floor was never empty and we had many compliements from our guests about our different music selection.

In addition, I think our wedding was the first one I have ever been to where the DJ pronounced everyone's name correctly. I was SO impressed.

Chuck was a wonderful addition to our wedding. I wish we had another big affair coming up so that we could have Chuck back DJing. Thank you Chuck for all you did!

Chuck Russo made our night! He is an awesome DJ and a great guy. We met with a total of five DJs before making a decision. Chuck was the first one and he actually made it easy for us. He suggested meeting at the Barnes & Noble a mile down the road from where we live. He offered us a drink and proceeded to tell us about himself and his services. He made a great impression on us and we were confident that he was going to be the DJ at our wedding! We left with big smiles on our faces, feeling very excited. To be honest, I don't even know why we wasted our time meeting with other DJs. Chuck didn't give us a sales pitch. He was very professional, confident in what he does, easy going, kept it simple, answered all of our questions, he gave us lists of songs to choose from (e.g. top 200) it was a very productive meeting.
His price is very fair. It's a great deal! He didn't ask for half of the payment upfront like all the other DJs required. I believe we put $200 down and the balance was due the day of.

We liked Chuck so much that we asked him about other vendors that he recommends and we did business with his uplighting guy.

The wedding day was amazing! It was at Basking Ridge CC. Chuck did an incredible job. I couldn't believe how many family members said how great the DJ was and that they had a great time. Chuck was able to keep people on the dance floor all night long! He played all the songs on our list and he didn't play any songs on our DNP list.

We highly recommend Chuck Russo!

AMAZING!!!! We are so happy we hired Chuck. We had 100% input in the music that was played at our ceremony and reception. We first heard Chuck at a bridal show at the Madison Hotel where we were married and had our reception. We met with him on another night and that was it. We knew he was our DJ and we never looked at any other DJ. The music selection was great. We found ourselves singing along but it wasn't intrusive. Chuck is a classy guy. We didn't want a cheesy DJ like you see at some weddings. We wanted class and that is exactly what we got. Did I say amazing???

Chuck Russo was our DJ for our wedding and he was fantastic. As soon as I spoke with him, I knew he would be great. I was in California planning my wedding long distance, and Chuck met with us via Skype a few times before we were able to meet with him in New Jersey. He's friendly, approachable, and decent. And he's very accommodating. We really wanted this one song that seemed impossible to find, and Chuck found a copy of it for us.

Most importantly, he's a true professional. He knows when to play the party music for dancing, and knows when to play more low-key stuff during dinner. He's not like the screaming, stage-hogging, obnoxious DJs I've seen elsewhere. Chuck kept our event classy!

Working with him, I felt that he was organized and took our music tastes seriously. We weren't really into today's pop music or mainstream stuff, and he got us right away. He really did a wonderful job and I recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ in the tri-state area.

My husband and I highly recommend chuck Russo. We had 185 people at our wedding and could not believe how many of our guests were up dancing. From the first song to the last song the dance floor was packed! The variety of music was great and people of all ages skipped cake to keep dancing.

Chuck is very professional and knows how to do a wedding. He did a great job with the introductions but did not try to draw the attention to himself (like other DJs at weddings we have attended). He was very open to our ideas and spent a lot of time talking to us about how the night would go and what songs would keep people dancing all night.

We received so many compliments after the wedding about how great Chuck was. From our very first meeting with him through the last song of our wedding night, we could not have been happier with him.

My husband and I could not have picked a more perfect DJ for our wedding reception! We knew Chuck was a good choice from our first meeting with him. Chuck listened to all our requests, did a great job of playing a variety of music at the right times, and had the crowd dancing the entire night. Additionally, he is very reasonably priced, does not push extras on you, and is very flexible. The day of our wedding, our ceremony was delayed by an hour and our cocktail hour had to be extended so that my husband and I could get some pictures in before our reception. Chuck easily adapted and started playing music for the end of our cocktail hour when our pianist had to leave. (Originally, we had hired a cocktail hour pianist and then Chuck just for the reception.) My husband and I would not hesitate to hire Chuck for future events we hold and will be recommending him to all of our friends and family in need of a DJ.

Chuck was our DJ at our wedding on July 13th. We had seen him work other weddings, so we already knew he's great at what he does, but we were still blown away at our own wedding. We take music very seriously and wanted a certain vibe while still maintaining a fun wedding that guests could dance to all night. Chuck took the artists and songs we gave him and expanded on it to make our wedding reception perfect. He was able to incorporate the music we listen to that is more low-key and provided a great flow of different genres that got everyone on the dance floor, both young and old. And the best part about Chuck is that he isn't your typical obnoxious DJ. He makes the announcements you need him to make but won't be shouting over the mic all night. The dance floor was packed from the first song to the last. Everyone, including us, had an incredibly fun night and many people remarked that it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever attended, if not THE most fun wedding. Trust me, I've been to weddings with awful music and people will just start leaving early and no one will dance. Music is crucial to a good wedding and Chuck is the best at what he does. In my circle of friends, we don't even consider any other DJ. That's how good he is.

Unbelievable. We were SO SO SO happy with Chuck. He presented himself very professionally and was easy to work with through the planning process. Chuck asked us generally what type of music we wanted played and was receptive to our short “must play” and “do not play” lists. The reception was a total blast. Chuck has an uncanny ability to read the crowd and play music that kept people dancing all night. His transitions were seamless and we didn’t feel like we were at a high school dance (some other DJs at other weddings have made us feel that way). While Chuck has a great voice (he used to be a radio DJ) – he doesn’t talk excessively or announce who he is a million times. He made announcements as they were needed but otherwise let the music keep the energy levels high. Our dance floor was packed all night long and we had so many compliments from our guests about how much fun they had. I sincerely attribute this back to what an awesome DJ Chuck is. I recommend him hands down – you won’t be disappointed.

Chuck's services were great! We initially met with him at a local coffee shop after finding him on the internet. He was very friendly and after discussing what we wanted and what he had to offer, we knew he was the right choice. Through some e-mail correspondences, we discussed what songs we would like to hear during the reception and he managed to find and play all of them. His equipment was perfect for the job and the sound quality/volume of the music was perfect. Loud enough to enjoy, but not so much that you had to yell over it. Also, he was not the "over the top" dj who is incessant on the microphone. He really let the spotlight be on us and the reception itself. He was very courteous, even asking us if he could play some more "popular" styles of music before actually playing it because he knew we are not that big on "newer" music. We let him play it though and everyone danced and enjoyed it.

We also recruited the services of his son, Jonathan, who played very beautiful classical guitar during the ceremony. Jonathan was also very friendly and easy to work with. We worked together to come up with the perfect combination of songs to be played for our entrances. He was very willing to help offer ideas for songs, as well as learn one requested by us.

As a now happily married couple, we would gladly recommend both Chuck and his son Jonathan for your future wedding or any other event. You simply do not get better service that this, we assure you.

My motto during the wedding planning process was "trust the professionals," and nothing could be more appropriate for Chuck. He was the utmost professional. Discrete, efficient, and polished. I read an unsolicited rave review of his DJ-ing services at another New Jersey wedding that encouraged me to meet him. Over the phone he has a calming, trustworthy and smooth-sounding radio announcers voice that matches his demeanor in person. He's also good looking! Working with Chuck required the absolute minimum effort as he guided us on everything. From the bridal party entrance music to the cake-cutting song, his recommendations were on-point and suited perfectly for our wedding crowd. I didn't even have to think. He also rolled with the punches when I forgot to inform him that our reception start time changed. Another example - and I didn't even notice this, as one of my guests told me later, that Chuck blocked would-be wedding crashers from entering our reception by quietly stopping them at the door, saying "This is not your party." Go with DJ Chuck Russo..... He is phenomenal!

We met Chuck Russo at a bridal show and he immediately stood out from the other DJ’s, he is extremely personable. Chuck played every song I requested and suggested music that I would not have ever thought of on my own. All of my guests raved about the music variety. Chuck was able to read the room and play music that was enjoyed by every age group. Our guests danced throughout the entire evening. He kept the wedding events moving at a lively pace and alerted people to important events without being intrusive! One worry I had prior to the wedding was the volume of the music but the music was kept at a perfect volume! It was loud enough to be enjoyed on the dance floor but seated guests were able to have conversations on a normal level without feeling like they were shouting at each other. We were very pleased with Chuck Russo's DJ services for our wedding. We did not want the typical DJ/Emcee combo so we were very happy when we found Chuck, who could take care of the music and any announcements. Most DJ companies tried to convince me that I needed an Emcee to have a successful event. On his own, Chuck was able to keep the dance floor full during our wedding! Chuck also downloaded specific ceremony music for us and accommodated some last minute changes to our ceremony music. Chuck was so great from beginning to end. He met with us before the wedding and went over all the details, and was willing to do whatever it took to make our wedding special ( in the midst of a hurricane the week before the wedding, he was responsive and so positive, and we never had a doubt that he would come through for us). Chuck kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night of the wedding, and truly made it an experience . We would recommend him to anyone!

We were so happy with Chuck Russo, he was such a pleasure to work with. He was always professional and responsive which helped me feel at ease that everything was going to be taken care of - no stress!

We gave him a few must play songs, and he was able to get our taste of music from this list as well as feel out the crowd and play a great mix of music to keep people dancing all night. The dance floor was packed the entire night and after the wedding, people raved about the music. We didn't want an annoying MC who plays all the cheesy audience participation wedding songs, and he was none of that. He made the announcements when necessary and just played awesome music, which was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ.

I would highly recommend Chuck Russo. He was one of my favorite vendors!!

All I have to say is that our DJ, Bob, kept everyone on the dance floor from start to finish, which is all I could ask for. I wanted a wedding where everyone would dance and have fun, and I've been to plenty that accomplished this (and others who did not). I cannot believe how many people were dancing at our wedding from before dinner to the very end. Bob did a great job of reading the crowd and keeping them going. It was awesome and I highly recommend using Chuck Russo's company for your wedding.

I spent quite a bit of time researching DJs for our wedding. We were looking for someone who was professional and knew how to get a group up and dancing but without all of the amateur-ish laser lights and glow sticks. Chuck was actually recommended to me by my eventual photographer and after my first meeting with him I was completely sold. Chuck is extremely professional, knowledgeable and just generally a good guy. He made suggestions and then just followed our lead as to the types of music we thought would work best with our guests. I don't remember a moment during the night where the dance floor wasn't being used.

I would use Chuck's services again in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone!

Chuck Russo was fantastic! He did the music for my ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He played great music and got a lot of people dancing. He played the music at the perfect volume so it wasnt too loud. Next time I have a party im hiring him!

Chuck Russo was an absolute pleasure to deal with! He was very professional and kept everyone dancing the entire night! My husband and I were at our first bridal show and I turned around and he was missing. Later to find him talking and laughing with Chuck like they were high school buddies! Chuck did an amazing job and I had friends ask for his business card. Our wedding had a variety of ages from 6-75 and all were dancing! Would HIGHLY recommend Chuck Russo to any couple looking for a professional Disk Jockey!

Chuck was awesome - I gave him a long list of songs to play and he managed to play every one of them (including my request for Shout to be played three times)! He was very professional and played his part as DJ and not entertainer...very happy choosing him!

Upon our first meeting with Chuck Russo, we knew that we found someone who was experienced, professional and anything but the DJ cliche we were afraid of. Additionally, he invited us to see him DJ for a wedding at a venue where it was possible to do so at a respectful distance. We saw that he was not only someone who supplied the music, but also someone who helped coordinate and execute the timing of each part of the day. We saw him corralling children and all the members of the wedding party and made announcements to make sure things went smoothly. He did the same for our wedding and we were very happy to have him there.

Chuck has extensive musical knowledge and adapts the playlist to your wishes. We were comfortable with relying on his expertise to choose most of the music and get people to dance and have a good time. Additionally, his services come at a very reasonable price.

Chuck was amazing! He did the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. We gave him a list of our music and he made the night fantastic. People didn't want to sit down for dinner they were having so much fun dancing! His sound system was great and he is really easy to work with. My mom surprised me with a second song after our mother/daughter dance and she said he was so willing to help her out and made it such a beautiful moment. I can't thank him enough.
