Very tasty!

As soon as we went to the tasting offered by Christie's Catering, we knew they were the right choice. Their food was simple but delectable, and they were able to use one of our family recipes in our menu. Teanna and her team used our left over flowers to decorate all of the service tables to really tie everything together. The drinks were prepared very well by their bartender, and it was convenient that we got to provide the alcohol and mixers. Whenever we had questions, Teanna was quick to reply. If you’re planning an event, and want your guests fed a wonderful meal, we would highly recommend Christie's Catering!

Great food, great people, great price!

If you are looking for good food, professional service, budget friendly, and amazing people, look no further! First off their prices can't be beat, the fact that they include plates and cutlery, and rent out linens and napkins at such a low price, there is no other company that gave me the deal that Christie's catering did. Teanna is very quick to respond to inquiries and provide information. We got set-up with an in-person tasting and we were instantly sold. Teanna and her Husband Mitch (also bartender) were so kind, so much fun to work with from the start till the end. They made me feel at ease knowing that everything would be perfect. Day of they set-up everything so nicely and everything looked great, the buffet food was great (we had A LOT of leftovers, and they put them all in containers for us). The bar tending services were great, everything till the end was so wonderful. Mitch and his staff stayed and helped and everyone was so nice, our guests loved them too! Mitch even put my plate together for dinner since he saw how busy I was and then check in on me to make sure if I needed anything else. Teanna also saved the day by having 2 extra gold charges that were exactly the same as mine and she let us use them since we were short by 2 - totally saved us!

Quality food, easy to communicate with, very customizable menu, professional, and affordable. Look no further, support this amazing family owned business and hire them, trust me!

Amazing!!!

Christie's Catering was recommended to us by our wedding planner. We went in for a tasting and instantly connected with the owners, Teanna and Mitchell. The food was fantastic, and they had so many options to modify/add to our menu. Leading up to the wedding day, I realized desserts were going to be too much for me to pull together and I asked if we could add some to our catering service. It was seamless and we were able to create a few options without any problems. The real awe was on our wedding day. Oh my gosh. Mitchell was standing there for us right away when we walked back down the isle after the ceremony with appetizers for us. He also brought us a plate during our dinner, then came back to get us seconds. He was very good about making sure everyone got enough to eat, and he checked in with us a few times, asking if we needed cake cutting knives, etc. Just so very attentive and sweet. Every single guest I talked to said the food was outstanding. The prime rib and salmon were crowd favorites, along with an olive pasta salad and fresh summer salad. We even got compliments on the vegetables (which were so good during the tasting also). Just overall such a wonderful experience. Incredible Food!

So many people raved about the food at our wedding and welcome party- it was seriously incredible! (We have some family members that are hard to please and they were very happy!) We got our bartenders through them as well and they had such great attitudes, were so helpful and really went above and beyond. The whole catering staff was amazing. We had a few guests with dietary restrictions and allergies and Christie's Catering was so so sweet to make them separate plates with food catered to their needs. Everyone felt so taken care of!

Awesome service at wedding!

Christie's Catering came through for me in a last minute venue/catering change. They did a great job at my wedding. Had about 125 people. The cocktail hour had great food/options. The bartenders they offered were amazing and helpful. The servers for the main dinner were on top of everything and very professional. I loved the variety of food options they have. Even had food for the kids and vegans. Would highly recommend them!

Wonderful tasting

We just went to the tasting for Christie's and pretty immediately decided that we wanted to hire them. The food was delicious, but the biggest reason we decided to hire them was due to how personable they were. They've been in the business a long time, and they still seem to love it. They had so many stories of things that were great, of things that went wrong and how they fixed them. They were fun to be around. You can tell they love what they do. I'm super excited to be working with them because i know it's going to be a great experience.

Incredible Caterer & Bartenders

We found Christie & her catering crew on Wedding Wire and had the privilege of being one of their clients. Christie is a great communicator and was always a joy to talk to. She is professional and really knows the wedding catering business. She has a great vision for placements and design that really compliment your venue. My husband and I were so amazed with the quality of the food and service we got. Be smart and hire Christie's Catering for your wedding! They're reasonably priced and don't try to charge you for every little thing like their competitors!

Christie’s Catering was the BEST choice we could have made for our wedding catering! Not only is Christie a fun, firecracker – but the food they delivered was AMAZING! We had Steak, Chicken, salad, hors d’oeuvres, fruit, beverages provided – and I’m not joking people said this was the best wedding food they have ever had, and I would agree, it was DELISH! Not just for “wedding food,” but for any food standards -it was great! We got to go and sample at a tasting in her kitchen in Renton, she gave us endless options, and always great communication. Their prices area great AND their service included plates, cups, punch, and they also had licensed bartenders, so we didn’t have to find additional vendors for that. They showed up on time, did what they came to do, AND MORE. When my decorator flaked, their whole team jumped in on anything that needed to be done, and trust me they had no obligations to help with our décor. In addition, they packed up any extra food and we got to have it before our honeymoon. The food and service were beyond and I would 100% use them again to cater an event and would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer. The BEST!

Christie and her husband are amazing. Very responsive and no hassel. We called 12 vendors and she was the quickest to respond the best price and the most tasty. We had to go track other vendors down, it was frustrating. Christie always responded fast and was very considerate to our needs and making things work for us. Her food is to die for!!! Book this caterer!!!

We held our wedding reception at the Pioneer Park Pavilion on January 28th, 2017 and we hired Christie's Catering after we attended a tasting at their Renton location. We met with two other caterers after Christie's but we chose Christie's because we loved the food and her personality. My mom and I went back and forth over the contract a bit due to a misunderstanding but Christie was so patient with us and super professional. We really appreciated her help in the early stages- and her communication with us about everything. We worked everything out so smoothly and we knew we chose the right place. She recommended a wedding coordinator to us whom we hired- and she worked out perfectly. Christie communicated with me about what I wanted- she asked me about my vision- and shared with me her vision and ideas and we really stuck a harmony. I was so pleased at the outcome and have heard such positive feedback from all of our guests about the food, the display, the service and general vibe of the event. The fruit and cheese centerpiece was out of this world GORGEOUS. The staff of Christie's Catering all deserve a big pat on the back. I would recommend them whole-heartedly time and time again.

Christie and her team did a great job for me, and I got lots of compliments on how good the food was. Christie is such a sweet lady. I appreciated the to-go bag of left overs for the bride and groom, since our big day was so busy we didn’t even get a chance to try all of the food.

Christie is the most amazing, sincere, gifted person. If you are looking for a catering company to go with, look no further and just give Christie a call.
The first catering company we were going to go with had fell through (very last minute I might add!) I was so stressed and worried. I found Christie's catering company and decided to give her a call. After one phone call with speaking with Christie, such a lovely lady, I was automatically set at ease. I felt so bad it being so last minute. She was SO kind and wonderful. She told me not to worry about a thing and she was right, I didn't have to! They took care of everything. She worked with me to find the perfect menu. On our wedding day Christie came that morning and introduced her staff to us. Her staff was so great. They were kind and so caring about our guests. Just like Christie! Truly people you just enjoy being around! I just adore her and would recommend her to anyone. We learned about Christie\'s Catering through word of mouth. Christie\'s philosophy centers around food that is visually appealing and tastes great. She really delivered on our wedding day and we had a gorgeous spread and we barely had to lift a finger. Early in the process, we developed the menu ourselves but Christie helped us refine it with great suggestions. In terms of service, she was top notch, she met with us several times before the wedding to check in, and she provides everything from plates to linens to a professional bartender. Christie is very accessible by email and was always responsive to our questions before and after our wedding. If you have a simple cake, she can decorate it and make it beautiful with some extra flowers. The staff she provided were very friendly and professional. She cares about your day and she wants it to go well. Christie and her catering company were worth every penny and everyone loved the food. Highly recommended.

Christie is absolutely amazing. Her enthusiasm and love poured out of her. It was a joy getting to meet her and to work with her. The food was amazing and the service was perfect! The bartender even saved 4 bottles of our favorite beer once it ran out so we could have some for later! Definitely recommend!!!!!

I cannot recommend Christie high enough! She catered my wedding in December and it was absolutely wonderful. To be honest, I usually don't expect much from wedding food. The typical over cooked chicken and pasta is pretty standard. Not with Christie! Her food was incredibly tasty. So many of my guests commented on the restaurant quality of the food.

I really wanted salmon at the wedding. We were getting married at Lake Wilderness Lodge in Maple Valley which is a very NW themed place and thus we needed fish. Christe worked with me to prepare the salmon but also served sirloin for people who don't like fish. It was perfect! Everyone was happy.

Christe is very reasonably priced and an excellent choice for your event.

Chrisite and her staff added to our daughters beautiful wedding day. They were professional, friendly and willing to go above and beyond to help us. Christie met us to get table linens early so we could set up our tables the day before.
At the end of the wedding day they had me walk through the kitchen to make sure all was clean and put back in order, which it was.
The food was delicious and they left some leftovers for us to enjoy the next day.
I will use them again. Thanks Christie's Catering!

We searched for our caterer on the Internet, as many do, and met with Christie one Saturday morning while she was preparing food for an event. Everything we tasted was delicious, and my fiance was immediately sold. Christie was very helpful, and whenever I had a suggestion or question, very positive. We asked for a change, we got it. When we asked opinions on our options, Christie could not have been more helpful. While trying to decide how to serve and where to put everything, she came to our house to help us plan, and that was a bit of a trip from Renton all the way to Edmonds. Our wedding was the best party we've war had, and according to at least three people so far, the best wedding/reception they've ever been to. Cannot be more grateful for her help, or for her staff, as they gave me nothing to worry about once I started to dress for the day. The food was delicious, more than enough to satisfy all, and everyone had something nice to say about it. Overall, she took the worry out of the day for us and we would definitely recommend her to any of our friends.

Christie's Catering was, from to to bottom, a wonderful decision!

I met with Christie about my upcoming wedding about 9 months before my event. I wanted to get the caterer all ironed out, before making other decisions. I met her in her shop, a very cute storefront in Renton, where (side note) she has a TV check for $100,000 on the wall for winning a networks recipe competition- and let me tell you the recipe was to die for- I made the sweet potato cinimon rolls myself, her recipe is on her website.

Any how, when we met she showed me photos of weddings she has done over the last 20 years, and all though she could benefit from some new photos, I was sold that she could throw a wonderful event for a large amount of people. When we started talking about a menu I could tell that her taste was extremely refined, and i come from a background of fine dining, so that said a lot.

Once we started talking prices I was even happier. She was beyond accomodating, very fair, and generous. I think for my 180 guests it ended up being about 15.99 per head, plus service and gratuities.

The one think I was wary about was that we didnt do a tasting. She offered, but the time didnt fit into my time table, and I went ahead without a tasting.

We stayed in constant communication through my planning process and she was very approachable. Phone, email, you name it.

When the wedding came me and my "foodie" family were all VERY pleased!! It was all incredible! Tasted well, great staff, bartender, you name it.

I couldn't have made a better catering decision. Christie is wonderful!

I highly recommend Christie's Catering. After researching and meeting with several caterers, I had some pretty poor experiences with other companies who were over-priced, had rude staff, and were very impersonal. A lot of caterers seem to treat you as just a number, with boring and general menu selections. You will not get that with Christie.

When we met with her, she was incredibly personable and worked with our schedule, meeting us after-hours at her shop. Just from being in her shop, we could see how well-liked and talented she is - you can tell she has amazing credentials in the catering business. She genuinely cares about giving her clients the most stress-free, personal experience on their wedding day. Not only does she have a warm and friendly personality, but she really knows how to make a bride feel at ease during the catering process.

She worked with us on a very personal, fun menu selection and made wonderful suggestions. Everything was home-made down to the salad dressing and you could really taste the quality in the food. EVERYTHING on our menu was delicious and the guests loved it! She and her staff decorated the tables beautifully, added personal touches, and the entire process went smoothly. She even packed an adorable "picnic pack" of leftovers, complete with a bottle of wine, for my husband and I to take with us on our wedding night.

From planning and setup, to serving, to clean-up, we did not have to worry about a thing - Christie and her staff took care of everything wonderfully! Not only is she priced well in comparison to all other companies I know of, but she offers a larger, more gourmet menu selection than anywhere else I know of. I highly HIGHLY recommend her!

Christies catering provided services for my daughters wedding, I was very impressed with the entire event. Everything went as planned what Christie promised was delivered without a flaw, her staff was pleasant and very proffesional. The food was great, and the venue was beautiful with the flloofing from the catering staff. I would recomend her services to anyone whom need a caterer. Great Job Christie!!! I will use your services again for all my catering needs.

My daughter's wedding was in Janurary 2010. We interviewed several caterers and choose Christie's Catering. The food was absolutly delicious, beautifully arrayed on our buffet table. We were beyond pleased with Christie and her catering staff. They were so helpful and accomadating in every way. I would highly recommend Christie's Catering. Her food,staff,preparation,kindness and respectability rate an A++ in my daughters and my eyes. Please choose her and you won't ever be sorry. She will make your special day the best ever. We found Christie's after a long 3 months of searching and I'm so glad we did. We wanted a buffet style meal but didnt want to sacrifice quality of food, everywhere else we went, I was not impressed with any of the food. We met Christie at the redmond location and got to know her while she fed us samples of different foods we had available to choose. Christie understood we were on a budget and completely worked with us to ensure we didnt go a single penny over. We FELL IN LOVE! The Shallot Cream chicken she made, was the best chicken either of us have had. The servers and bartenders were exceptional and I would recommend Christie's to ANYONE looking for GOOD, WARM buffet style reception food, appetizers for cocktail hour and a bartender. Seriously - its awesome to have everything in one. Thank you Christie and Team for making our wedding more wonderful than we could have ever hoped for!

Christie and her staff are wonderful. The food was faboulous! I would recommend the lasagne. Christie personally came to set up and wished us both a wonderful wedding. I have only heard great things about her food. The bartenders were excellent and keeping every drink full. The staff is very friendly and packaged everything up for us. It was wonderful to have the leftovers for the lunch the next day to open presents.

Christie's is reasonably priced, unique, and she bends over backwards to try to provide what you want within your budget. She has a lot of different food choices. The buffet table was beautifully decorated and the food was plentiful and tasty. She is fun to work with, too. She was clear up front that it would be buffet style, and she would not provide table service, but her staff cut our cake, packaged up our leftovers, and they were courteous and helpful to our guests. We had a Friday night event and traffic problems made about half of our guests late, and they were good about delaying dinner a bit. Good food at a great price.

The food was great, one of the best I've had a wedding. We got a lot of compliments on it. The layout on the buffet tables was beautiful and the service the staff provided was excellent. I didn't have to worry about a thing! Cudos to Teanna and her staff!

Christie catered my wedding anniversary on short notice it was about 125 people. I was simply amazed at the variety of menus we had to choose from & that she still found the time to meet with us personally to discuss them. The day of my anniversary went off flawlessly, the food was absolutely unbelievable. The bartenders knew how to mix the best specialty drinks I've had since my wedding! All in all Christie's Catering helped make my 50th Wedding Anniversary unforgettable and her price was unbeatable. I would definitely recommend her for any special event.

Christie is an amazing chef! She served us a 5 course meal as a tasting which was phenomenal! And at our wedding we had so many guests saying how great the food was. We chose the salmon and steak - and the salmon was SO moist, and the seasoning on the steak was delicious. Christie is such a sweetheart and focuses on making your day special! And her pricing is amazingly low for the Seattle area! The only downside is her accounting skills - there was some confusion over how much we owed, but we were able to clear it all up.

Christie was excellent. She is very detail oriented and a great cook. The food was excellent. We had Salmon, chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, salad, roasted vegetables, and a bunch of other things. All of it was absolutely wonderful. And we fed 150 people for $4000!!! That is basically unheard of in the Wedding industry.

Christies Catering has fantastic food and wonderful service. She has won many awards and made cookbooks. The caterers were very friendly, and provided a ton of assistance on our wedding day. Christie is flexible, and will make pretty much whatever you want. She even uses family recipes if you want her too. She also offers great suggestions for many aspects of the wedding, and provides a lot of things, that normally you would have to pay for.

The food was pretty good. All of our guests had nothing but good things to say about the food. I did have to remind Christie a few times about menu changes but in the end everything was the way we wanted. She was a little slow with responding to emails but other than that it was great. The servers they brought with them were all very polite and everything was on time.

I had high hopes for Christie's. The bartenders had no personality. The food was good considering the cost but there was no assistance with trying to package the enormous quantity of leftovers and getting any help with our cake was a joke. They cleaned up their platters and left my bridal party to deal with the rest. The price was right for my budget but I wish I would have spent more to get a better service.

I did go to five stores to find this particular bread the groom had requested. Their DJ was the most obnoxious DJ I have met in my many years in the industry. One of my staff did throw the cake away and I was appalled. She was fired immediately. And why wouldn't I be kind enough to write and explain what had happened. I was not defending myself, personally, I was very sad that the clients were disappointed in any way whatsoever. I could care less about being in a photo, so this comment is totally in left field. I am responding to this review in 2015 as I don't think it was accurate at the time and it is not an accurate portrayal of my services.

Our overall experience was not a disaster, but not what we hoped for either. The wrong entree was served and there were several other snags that took place during the wedding that were less than ideal. The food was pretty good and the bartending service was fine once it was time for the reception (they botched teh cocktail hour). Chrisite herself was only at the wedding for a very short time before the reception even started, as she had another wedding booked. Considering how proud they are of their many years of experience, they didn't seem to hae it together.

When we booked Christie's, we were really excited about the possibilities that her staff could do. She showed us photos and menus from her 20 years of experience in the industry, and raved about her food and service. She was flexible, in terms of what food we wanted, and apparently went to five stores to find a certain kind of bread (she made sure we knew that). Overall, during the planning process, things went off without a hitch.

The day of the wedding was a bit of a nightmare. She showed up with her staff, prepped the food, drinks were served, and the food was just fine. She awkwardly made sure she got into a few of our professional photos. Christie and her team rushed getting the food served about an hour before it was supposed to. Although the servers were friendly, they never served the cake, which meant half the guests didn't get cake. By the end of the event, about half of the cake, all that remained, was thrown straight into the trash.

The event itself ended an HOUR AND A HALF EARLY due to Christie's team pulling linens and flowers off tables. Most of my guests left early, because they thought the event was over. I found this to be incredibly rude and unprofessional. Not to mention when my DJ brought to my attention the time (it was too early to be cleaning up), Christie took it upon herself to curse our DJ out, and it made for an incredibly uncomfortable scene, with more than one party upset.

After returning from our honeymoon, I received a defensive letter, telling us everything that went wrong was not her fault, but the DJ's. She also sent this letter to our venue. This just seems ridiculous to me, as she was obviously trying to cover her ass to those who knew about the incidents of the day.

Although Christie was fine throughout the planning process, I would not recommend her services. Although her services weren't very expensive, I didn't get my money's worth.

Bads:
Christie catered for my wedding. Throughout the entire process there were a lot of miscommunication, a lot of repeating emails, and a lot of you said, I said. My wife and I were not satisfied with the whole experience. I can list all the issues here, but instead I will end it by saying, “I will not use her for my future events.”

Good:
The food was decent.
The service was ok, but some of my guess stated that the bartender was rude. They worked hard in setting things up, especially in the hot weather. We tipped all the waiters and bartender. We did not tip Christie.

Christie's Catering's reply:

We arrived on time, set everything up - however, all the tables we needed to work on, were set up for the children to use. Thus we had to work on the ground. It was 91 degrees out with no shade and people were extremely hot due to the weather. We passed bottled water out to the guests waiting for the ceremony. We had only a garden hose to rinse dishes and had to bring all of our dishes and serving pieces back to our shop dirty and also 15 big black bags of smelly garbage. They seemed to think I shouldn't charge for this service. One of my staff had a heat stroke due to the temperature. The bartender has been terminated. I did not meet the clients until the day of the wedding. The clients had initially selected a Pan Asian style menu but after the contract was signed and ready to go they wanted to change to meat and potatoes and salmon - in July! I explained that the cost for this menu was much higher. The clients wanted to bring in Chinese food and have me heat it up but I could not, as there wasn't a stove on site. We had to serve the food in the hot, hot sun. Two pans of potatoes and one big roast had to be thrown away due to the weather. The cake melted into a puddle. The wedding coordinator worked her hardest to try to communicate between the clients and myself, however there were too many questions that were totally redundant. My tip was included in the bill, so I wasn't anticipating getting anything above that. My staff was totally helpful and on top of the client's needs in the exceedingly hot weather.

I provided hot dogs and macaroni for 50 children and they never even said thanks. I wouldn't want to work for these people ever again, so I guess we are on the same page there.

I would not recommend Christie's Catering to anyone. We met with the caterer in her office where I found her to be very unprofessional (talking about her personal life, and I do mean PERSONAL) but we decided to give her food a chance anyway because we had found many good reviews. During our meeting she wrote down what we wanted on our menu. During our meeting we made it very clear that I have food allergies, one to shell fish which was fine to have at the reception but not near the other food or touching anything else, and we also requested kiwis not be included in the fruit tray. She wrote down our requests, but sure enough on our wedding day the shrimp was next to all the other food & there were kiwis mixed in with the fruit. I think for the price we paid they should have at least followed our requests or at least make it clear that it could not be done.

We used Christie's Catering for our wedding reception and were unimpressed with the food and angry with the rude and poor service from her staff.

Half the food was pretty good, a quarter was so so, and a quarter was comically bad. The presentation on her specialty "pecan chicken" was so bad that many of our guests were making jokes about it even though it was one of the better tasting things.

The bar tenders were extremely rude to our guests. The kitchen staff put the food away before everyone was done eating and refused to set it back out.

And she charges us an extra $300 above her quote for staff that we did not catch until we had already paid it.

I would not recommend Christie's Catering.

In 35 years of catering weddings, this was one that you could never have imagined would go so upside down! Patrick and Liz were a couple in their 30's, college educated from the midwest. I met with them at the Seattle Parks Dept venue at Stan Sayers Beach on Lake Washington. We did a fantastic and delicious menu including pecan chicken, jambalaya, fried alligator and oysters Rockefeller among the usual breads, fresh fruits and cheeses. The lady who was managing the facility said that after her experience with these clients, she would never work at the venue again. There was a lot of heavy drinking from the get go. As the evening continued to go on, we felt that some of the guests were probably using drugs of some sort. The transformer in the neighborhood blew and put the entire venue into darkness. All hell broke loose. A guest poured a pitcher of beer on my bartender' head, the guests were grabbing bottles of alcohol from behind the bar and throwing candles and wax on the dance floor. One person threw food at my chef. The people were stomping on the second floor of the building worrying us that the boats hung below on the ceiling would fall down. Our equipment got stuck in the elevator and we had to come back the next day and get things. We should have called the police. The lady managing the facility was so scared she locked herself in her office. The men got a tire iron and tried to break the door down. The final interesting thing was the groom took off all his clothes and proceeded to make out with someone not his new wife. What can I say????? To wait two years to write a review considering what happened is uncalled for. CM
