Best photographer in MD!!

We just had our wedding June 2022 in the Tavern Ball Room at Chesapeake Bay Beach club. To be honest, she is absolutely the best. She made us feel extremely comfortable from the start of our initial call. I immediately wanted her over any other photographer when she said she does natural photos and she wants them to look timeless. Not have all these filtered photos, and 30 years from now regret anything. Christa made the process so easy, that I had absolutely no concerns going into our wedding day. Her planning skills are beyond helpful. She has a timeline down to minutes! (Very impressive) The day of our wedding, it felt like Christa was our friend taking photos with us. Christa knows our venue so well. She knew all of the secret spots to go and have photos at, I didn’t even know some of the places existed at my own venue! My husband and I had no idea what to do when it comes to posing for the photos. Christa made it all so smooth and gave directions perfectly. She wanted to make sure we had a million different photos for our memories but knew we wanted to get back to the party. She was fast, conscious. Two days after the wedding Christa gave us a sneak peek of our photos and they were absolutely stunning!! We are so excited to see the rest. I personally can contest that you should pick her as your photographer! Don’t hesitate at all. You will not regret it.

Talented, organized, professional, and FUN wedding photographer!

From our very first phone call, I knew Christa would be the perfect fit as our wedding photographer. We instantly bonded over our mutual love of the Jonas Brothers, and from that moment on, everything just clicked. During our engagement shoot, Christa completely exceeded our expectations. She guided us through every pose with ease, made the entire experience feel fun and natural, and somehow got my now-husband Ben not only comfortable in front of the camera, but enthusiastic about every shot! That shoot left me even more excited and confident going into our wedding day. On the wedding day itself, Christa and her second photographer were absolute lifesavers. They seamlessly wrangled family members for portraits, kept everything moving on schedule (thanks to an incredibly detailed timeline she created) and made the entire day feel smooth and stress-free. One of my favorite pieces of feedback from a guest was that Christa felt “invisible, yet always got the shot,” which couldn’t be more accurate. She struck the perfect balance of being present without ever feeling intrusive. It was also incredibly hot and humid on our wedding day, and you would never know it from the photos. Every image is stunning—timeless, beautifully captured, and not overly edited with heavy filters. These are photos we will truly cherish forever. On top of that, she delivered an extensive sneak peek so quickly, which made reliving those moments even more special. We truly loved working with Christa and cannot recommend her enough to any couple looking for a talented, professional, organized, and genuinely fun wedding photographer!

Do not hesitate to book with Christa!

Christa was AMAZING! We had a call with her, she was clear and answered all of our questions. We did an engagement shoot and her pictures were to die for. We had never done a professional shoot before and she helped us with posing and making sure we were comfortable. She was very knowledgeable at our venue, knew exactly where to take pictures at what time for the best lighting and they came out like an absolutely dream. We never felt rushed at the wedding. She was available to speak whenever we needed for the wedding and assured us along the way. She helped create our shot list to make sure we had all of the pictures we needed for our families. As a bride, I didn't have to think at all, she kept us on track and where we needed to be. I felt very comfortable with her and was easily able to put my trust in her for my special day! Absolutely no complaints.

As parents of the bride, we had an incredible experience working with our daughter's wedding photographer, Christa Rae. Absolutely amazing!

Christa was an absolute angel to work with. Her calm presence and professionalism was the ultimate asset on our wedding day making her truly the MVP throughout the day. We did a first look and the bulk of our photos prior to the ceremony. Her and Christina (her second shooter) made this experience easy, structured, and more enjoyable than we could have imagined. Amazing Wedding Photographer

June 2024 Wedding

Booking Christa for our June 2024 wedding was our easiest and BEST decision in the wedding planning process! We had seen Christa's beautiful pictures and professionalism as a photographer from two of our friends' weddings in 2021 and 2022. We new we wanted to book Christa as soon as we got engaged! Christa was unbelievably helpful in answering our questions and giving us ideas in terms of engagement shoot locations from the start of the process. Christa was so quick to answer all of our questions and was truly so amazing to work with! Christa beautifully captured our engagement pictures and our wedding day. She provided us with sneak peeks of our pictures within 24 hours of our engagement shoot, and 48 hours of our wedding day! That is just something you don't see very often! We would recommend Christa a million times over to any couple looking for absolutely gorgeous photos from their day!

Captured our Vision Beautifully

Christa Rae captured our wedding beautifully. I cannot stop looking at the preview pictures she sent and reliving our wonderful day.

The moment that just stunned me on our wedding day was when Christa pulled up the creative deck I had sent her months prior and showed a photo I had on it that represented the "sentiment" I wanted to capture from that night. She said she wanted to recreate that photo and had brought special lighting and planned the moment just to make it happen. I felt so heard by Christa in the moment, and that exact photo is the wallpaper on my phone today.

Christa Rae is one of the approved vendors for the Naval Academy, and she nailed keeping us on pace for that tight schedule, while still keeping the afternoon stress-free.

To top it off, we went to visit my grandmother who couldn't travel to the wedding three days after the wedding, and Christa turned around an AMAZING preview package for us to show her in three days and I was totally blown away when I saw it. Christa took such care to give us an awesome amount of gorgeous photos and also made herself available that day when we had questions about access.

I couldn't me more happy with Christa Rae's attentiveness, storytelling, and kindness - thank you, Christa!

Hire Christa for your Wedding Now!

Do not hesitate to book Christa Rae Photography as your wedding day photographer. Where do I even begin with Christa? She was absolutely amazing every step of the way with our wedding planning. From our first phone meeting, she immediately made me feel like I was talking to a friend. She made my husband and I so comfortable and we knew we needed to hire her for our wedding day. Our wedding day was challenging. We had seven bridesmaids and groomsmen, two junior bridesmaids, three large families, with multiple photograph requests, not to mention it was the hottest day of the Summer (almost 100 degrees with 100% humidity). Christa was unphased by the challenges. From the beginning, she made the day all about us and completed all our request with the utmost professionalism and ease. I was beyond shocked that every single photo made us look radiant and glowing instead of hot and sweaty. She truly has an eye and captured the fun and beauty of our wedding. She and her associate Cat were on their feet for hours and took hundreds of pictures capturing every component of our wedding, which allowed us to look back onto memories we will treasure forever. Christa made us feel like family and like a priority. She was so kind and accommodating, and I’m still in disbelief on how perfect she made our wedding day. If you are getting married in the DMV area, do not hesitate to book Christa. She’ll capture your perfect day beautifully and make you smile every time you look at the pictures. She has a real talent to capture the happiness of a couple and I truly cannot recommend her enough.

Love her energy + quick to reply + fabulous photos

Five of us in the same friend group have used Christa for our wedding photos because her work is so consistent and gorgeous. Not to mention Christa herself is amazing! Multiple people at our wedding said they loved her energy throughout the night and loved how she was so intermixed with the crowd on the dancefloor snapping candid photos. Amazing Experience with Christa!

Christa was one of our favorite people that we met through planning our wedding-- from our first call with her, to our engagement photos (in 40 degrees for the cherry blossoms, no less!), to our wedding, she was calm, assured, motivating, organized, and just a wonderful human being. And her photos!! We were blown away when we received our gallery-- she captured every emotion of the day so beautifully, and we are forever grateful to have those memories.

Also something important to us was that she had experience with diverse wedding parties-- she captured everyone in our wedding party perfectly and true-to-complexion (from pale to deep skin tones, nobody was washed out!).

No regrets - AMAZING Photographer, AMAZING Photos

If you're thinking about hiring Christa as your photographer, JUST DO IT! Christa was wonderful every single step of the way. We met over Facetime when I was inquiring about her availability. She answered all (of my many) questions with ease. She made me feel so comfortable speaking to a complete stranger, which I knew was a good sign! This continued throughout our time working together. Christa shot both our engagement photos and our wedding photos and they are all amazing. She made my husband and myself feel very comfortable in front of the camera, and she was able to shoot our photos so quickly! The sign of an expert. You can tell she really wants to make sure you get all the photos you want for your special occasions. I sent her an email with "inspiration" photos prior to our wedding. She was so open to reviewing them to see the types of pictures I was hoping for, and on the day of our wedding I could tell she was making it a priority to get the types of shots I liked. I should add, a lot of the inspiration photos I sent her came from Christa's own body of work. The photos on her website are absolutely representative of her style and her abilities. What you see posted there is very representative of what your gallery will look like.

Christa also captured many photos on our wedding day that I would not have known to request, but I am so glad she captured them. She was able to give me pictures of my grandma that I will cherish forever, as well as wonderful candid photos of our guests that we may have missed experiencing ourselves.

I also know Christa is constantly attending workshops and experiences that help her hone her craft even further, so you will absolutely be hiring a true professional who continues to work on advancing herself even further in her field. She is very responsive and easy to communicate with.

I could give you countless examples of things Christa did leading up to, on, and after our wedding day that make her someone you absolutely should hire, but I will just leave it at that. You will not regret hiring her to capture your special day. I hope to work with her again in the future to document more of our life moments.

Amazing photographer!

When I began searching for a wedding photographer, I wanted to have a more personal relationship since a wedding is such an intimate special day. I wanted someone I felt comfortable with, and I trusted to capture the best day of our lives. When shopping around the Annapolis area a lot of photographers were all business and did not feel like the right fit. Once I came across Christa and we had a conversation I instantly was relived I found the one that would capture our day. Christa offered us a free engagement session with our package, this was a great way to meet and understand her shooting style and for her to learn about us as a couple. The session was held in busy downtown Annapolis, where we would get married the following year. Since neither my husband or I are from the area we trusted her to navigate, and she did a fantastic job! The engagement shoot captured Annapolis and our story there beautifully and I used all these photos for our website and save the dates. This was the start to a great relationship once wedding day came! Over that year we kept in touch and Christa was always ready to talk wedding. Most vendors like I said are all business and this is SO personal it was comforting to be able to reach out even if it was for a recommendation. Christa also helped me find my videographer who she worked with and organize my timeline based on her experience shooting in the area. Once wedding day came Christa and her second shooter Christina came early to help set up all my detail shots, did not bother me with the details and took care of everything. When doing my getting ready shots and things got hectic, Christa was there helping communicate with other vendors and making our day as smooth as possible. Another important note most photographers I researched did not provide a sneak peak of engagement shoot or wedding shoot photos. Christa got both to us within a day from the event and that is so amazing when you are anxiously awaiting the photos! I would highly recommend Christa and team she not only made the process smooth but took the most gorgeous photos.

Wonderful Experience

We had a wonderful experience working with Christa as our photographer. From day one she showed true professionalism, excellent communication, and of course outstanding photography skills. We found her through our venue and it makes total sense that she is on their “Preferred Vendor” list.
We did our engagement photos at a VA winery with her and right away she was able to calm our nerves about posing and direction. She knew exactly where to align us with poses, lighting, etc. She also took some wonderful detail photos with my ring, wine glasses and a wine cork.
During the wedding weekend she was so helpful answering any questions about timelines and locations and worked with my venue to schedule the shoots so I really didn’t have to do any work. We had a large wedding party and wedding and she was able to navigate everything so calmly and professionally while trying to get everyone in the shots. I highly recommend Christa as a photographer! All of our photos have turned about beautifully so far!

Wonderful Wedding Photos

Christa has out-done herself, our photos are incredible! I love the colours incorporated in each photo, no one looked too white-washed. Instead, the background and our guests look natural, she did such a great job capturing everyone at their best. Christa was so easy to work with and professional. My husband and I immediately felt comfortable with her, and she made sure to give us helpful pointers on instructions and the best places for photos. 10/10 would recommend to anyone planning their special day.

I can’t recommend Christa enough!! Christa came highly recommended by our venue, The Tidewater Inn, and it is so clear why! Firstly, Christa is professional and responsive. After multiple postponements due to COVID, Christa was the only vendor who we wanted to secure time after time. We felt very comfortable working with her from the start. Christa was reliable, relatable, and professional. Our engagement and wedding photos turned out beautifully and captured the love we had for one another. The BEST wedding photographer!!

Christa was so great to work with from day one on the initial call. I could not be more thrilled that we went with Christa, she is professional, knows what she's doing, and so much fun to work with. From our engagement session to the sneak peeks we just got from the wedding- our photos are absolutely STUNNING and look natural, light, and true to color (I stay away from moody filters and prefer a more authentic editing style, just me:)

Christa made a flawless timeline of our day- everything from those "getting ready" photos to the Bride and Groom Sunset photos after the ceremony so that I didn't have to worry about planning that part. She is a Rockstar.

All of our guests noted how awesome she was- getting all the right shots without interrupting anything. She recommended and worked so well with our videographer, which was also really nice. I truly believe we had the all around BEST vendor team and it is because I stared with Christa and then went off her recommendations :)

Stunning Photos!!

We can’t thank Christa enough for taking the most beautiful photos of us on our big day! From our engagement photos to the wedding photos, we are in awe of how amazing her work is. Christa created the best experience for the best day ever!

Christa is a true professional! She was an absolute asset to our wedding and planning process. From the first phone call, we knew Christa was something special. She was so down to earth and truly listened to our visions for our wedding day. From embracing our idea to have our pup in our engagement photos, to capturing our emotional first look and private vows, to creating gorgeous sunset portraits, she is a master. Christa is extremely responsive and has great ideas to ensure she captures all of the important moments and details throughout the day. During the planning process, I always felt 100% confident in Christa as she answered every question or concern that I had. She has her timeline skills down to a science. We never felt rushed during our wedding day. Due to her efficiency, we actually were ahead of schedule which allowed her to capture even more portraits. Christa and her second shooter, Lauren, made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day. They were both so calm and kind the entire day. It was easy to see that Christa is passionate about her work as she seemed to be smiling and enjoying our wedding alongside us. Highly recommend

Can’t recommend Christa enough! She was flexible and understanding when we had to postpone due to Covid. Communication leading up to the event was great - we felt confident that she had a plan and would get the shots we wanted. On wedding day she and the second shooter Valerie were so nice and easy to work with. We are absolutely in love with how the pictures turned out and have gotten so many compliments from friends and family. Can’t wait to print out our favorites!

Amazing, Flexible, and Fun!

Christa was so wonderful to work with! She photographed our engagement session with our pup and was so gentle and paid close attention to details. When we had to move our wedding day due to COVID, Christa was unavailable and already booked with another couple but able to provide an associate. Our wedding was photographed by Valerie and she was a joy to work with! Great energy and so sweet. She was able to capture the most beautiful sunset over the Chesapeake Bay. We are already obsessed with the few pictures we have gotten as our sneak peak and cannot wait to see the rest! Christa and Valerie have been amazing to work with and we couldn't have asked for a better team!

Christa rocks!

Christa is everything you can hope for in a photographer. She is professional, efficient, and fun to work with. Most importantly, her work is INCREDIBLE! My husband and I are hockey players and wanted to have some of our engagement photos taken on the ice and Christa was up for the challenge. Amazing photos we will cherish for years to come

Christa is a talented photographer and an amazing person! I cannot recommend her enough! Our photos from our November 2020 ceremony and July 2021 reception are absolutely beautiful! Christa captured every picture I wanted and did so much behind the scenes! For example a groomsman's suit ended up being just a little different shade of blue and she editing quite a few photos so his suit matched the rest of the bridal party...we can't tell a difference! Worth every penny

Christa was wonderful! She was so flexible in setting up our engagement shoot and then continued to be flexible and give reassurance as we postponed because of COVID. The wedding day she was punctual and had the best temperament all day as things were so chaotic. When our timeline got behind she was so calm and made sure we got all the shots we had discussed. Her second shooter was also fantastic and patient with the groomsmen. Even though I know Christa was so busy she still got us sneak peek pics the next day and our photos before the 6 week mark! She was one of our best vendors!! She followed through on every single promise and communicated all evening to make sure we were on the same page. Highly recommend!

Loved working with Christa - made us feel so comfortable

Christa was amazing to work with. We ended up having a small ceremony in 2020 on our original postponed date. She had a great vision for that day and I'm so thankful to have so many pictures of the two of us from our original date. She made us feel so comfortable when we're both very camera shy.

Fast forward a year and we finally have a chance to have our larger celebration. We're so excited to have had Christa as a part of both days - we were able to get even more pictures this year with the two of us and with our friends and family. I love the classic look she has to her pictures and we can't wait to get the others to see everything from our celebration.

A True Gem

My now-husband and I met with Christa around the time we got engaged in 2019, and I immediately knew by her personality, professionalism and portfolio that we wanted her to photograph our wedding! I was so impressed with her work and so excited to have her capture our big day. To me, her style is classic, and something that will be as beautiful in 50 years as it is today. What I couldn't have anticipated was that she blew our expectations completely out of the water! Not only was she so easy to work with through all the woes of the pandemic and postponing our 2020 wedding (and engagement shoot!), she was a true professional when it came to all of the other wedding procedures with understanding our budget needs, discussing family dynamics, and making our wedding day dreams become reality. When our much anticipated wedding day came around, Christa arrived to the beach club suite with a smile on her face and was ready to get to work! The rest of the day was a blur (much like other married couples warn) but Christa kept everything perfectly on schedule and made sure she captured everything we had hoped and then some. She was such a warm and friendly presence and made my husband and I totally at ease. While I knew we were taking a lot of pictures at the time, I could not have imagined the beautiful and detailed wedding gallery she delivered to us a mere month and a half after our day. The amount of detail and perfection she put into her work made my husband and I (and my family) feel like we were living the day all over again. I will cherish these images for years to come. I truly cannot imagine if I hadn't had Christa photograph our wedding. She was my favorite vendor, utterly talented and truly a blessing to work with! I hope we get to work again for future life events!

Amazing photographer and person!

Christa was fantastic! She has a calendar online which makes scheduling meeting with her so easy! She was right on time for all calls and early the day of the wedding. Christa was polite, professional and super accommodating to me wanting to get as many photos done prior to the ceremony. Even on a VERY hot day and with a rather annoying groomsmen Christa and her team were great! She even sent us a few sneak peek photos the next day and i loved them! Highly highly recommend!

OUTSTANDING- one of the best decisions I've made

I knew that the photography was going to be very important to me when I first started planning for our wedding and booking Christa truly exceeded my high expectations for beautiful images. Christa did photos for our engagement as well as for our wedding and she was truly exceptional. Not only are the images she shot remarkably beautiful but she was a BREEZE to work with. When other vendors would take days to call or email back when I asked a question, Christa would respond in minutes. She was professional and clearly very organized which made the wedding day photos run smoothly for all the many people involved. She had an impeccable attention to detail while also being personable and laid back with my bridal party. I know we will cherish these images from our engagement session and our wedding for the rest of our lives. I truly can't recommend her highly enough. Best wedding photographer!

Christa made my husband and I feel so comfortable from the very beginning. She traveled to D.C. to shoot our engagement session, which was included as part of the wedding package. Christa was always very responsive and most importantly, incredibly flexible when we had to change our wedding plans due to COVID. On our wedding day, she stayed past her end time to shoot our surprise late night pizza food truck and sparkler exit. Her partner, who shot most of the groomsmen photos earlier in the day, made an immediate connection with the guys and made them feel super comfortable during the photo shoot. I'd recommend Christa to anybody for any special occasion. She was wonderful and we will always have amazing memories from our wedding because of her!

Christa is an incredible photographer and we are so happy we booked her to capture our wedding and engagement photos. My wife and I weren’t quite sure what to expect taking a bunch of intimate photos in front of a stranger, but Christa made us feel comfortable and like we were with friends. We are the most impressed with all of the small moments Christa captured of our friends and family. She was super prepared, having our timeline down to the minute, and was flexible when things inevitably changed during the wedding day.

She was very quick to respond to our questions and usually got back to us the same day. We received a sneak peek within 24 hours of the wedding and engagement shoots, and had over 1000 photos of the wedding within two weeks! We have been recommending her to all of our friends getting married in the area, you are in good hands with Christa!

Amazing wedding photographer!

Christa was one of the first vendors we booked for our October wedding and we are so happy we did! From the very beginning, Christa was extremely responsive and professional. She would answer all of questions within minutes and made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire planning process. Before the wedding day, Christa called us to go over the logistics of our day to make sure everything would run smoothly. On the wedding day, she was organized, energetic, and knew how to get things done with a tight timeline. One of the best things about Christa is that she seemed like more than a photographer to us! Christa was our very first vendor that we booked. She would always answer all my questions so quickly, she was essential in helping me create a timeline for the wedding day, and she made us feel on top of the world. From the very beginning we had Christa climbing onto of crazy obstacles and standing in the freezing cold for us. She did all of that with the biggest smile on her face. Amazing!!!!

Christa was a joy to work with for our wedding! She went above and beyond and was always so quick to respond to any questions/emails we had. On the day of our wedding,, she was amazing! She kept us on our timeline day of our wedding but we never felt rushed. She photographed our wedding by herself and she worked so well with our videographer. We received our wedding album.. and honestly I don't know how she captured all of the moments so perfectly! We were watching the video footage from our wedding and we realized how quickly Christa had to react in some moments to get the best picture... and she did just that! My husband and I are so impressed with the fact that Christa was there for every moment and the pictures really captured our personalities. Working with Christa is a dream!

Christa was one of the first vendors we booked and we could not have been happier with our decision. She was very responsive and helpful during our planning process and for the day of our wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. She was fantastic during our engagement session that we did in Downtown Annapolis and was very patient with having our two dogs join in the photo shoot. She is a true professional and it is amazing to watch her in action . She is very passionate about what she does and I do not know how she does it all so gracefully. We had a super hot August day and both she and the second photographer took it all in stride and always with a smile. They were able to get so many amazing shots during getting ready, our first look, the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. We had many people in our wedding party and other guests commenting on how awesome she was - she remembered everyone's names and captured all of our favorite parts of the night. Her attention to detail is impeccable and she was very helpful with keeping our day on track - even making sure we got some special photos of just me and my Husband before the sunset. She also was able to provide a sneak peek the day after our wedding so we could see some photos before we left for our Honeymoon. Now that we have our full wedding album back, I am obsessed with all of the photos. The hardest part will be picking out our favorites to print! I am enjoying looking at every single one and seeing the ceremony and reception details, formals, family portraits and all of the candid action to relive our most favorite day! She made us all feel really comfortable with this whole process and I highly recommend hiring Christa. I sincerely hope that we can work together again for any other photography needs in the future.

Incredible Photographer!

Christa is an amazing person and photographer! It is evident she loves what she does. From the start she was very easy to communicate with and continued to be whenever a question popped up. She created such a comfortable environment with engagement photos! On the wedding day she was nothing shy of amazing. She adapted well to the (100 degree) weather and stayed so positive for us. She was super open and accommodating to special requests. We worked with a second shooter who was also incredible. They were both so fun to work with, but also extremely skilled and professional. Our guest have commented the most on how amazing our photographers were. They were so involved and captured so many special moments! We couldn't be happier will the photos we received!

To add, we did get married at the Naval Academy and Christa was extremely familiar with all the rules and restrictions. We felt so confident having her. I would highly recommend!

Christa Rae Settle is the BEST photographer. She is so calm, easygoing, happy, positive, and professional. She gets along with everyone, and handles family dynamics well. She was very approachable when we had questions, never making us feel like we were asking too much. Christa was amazing throughout the whole process. She answered questions I had throughout the journey. When she showed up for the wedding she was well organized and ready to hit the ground running. We loved working with Christa! She is sweet, professional, and very talented! From emails and phone calls, to our engagement shoot, to the wedding day, working with Christa was great. One of the easiest decisions that we made regarding our wedding plans was to choose Christa as the photographer for our wedding! We were terribly impressed with the photographs in her portfolio but her background in photographing and capturing such incredible moments at concerts and live music performances convinced us that she was the perfect shooter for our special day. We had a terrific initial meeting with her and told her that we wanted her to photograph our wedding before it was over. In addition to how easy she made the whole process of planning our shoot, she was also enormously helpful in planning several other aspects of our wedding, even recommending some other vendors that we ended up using. On the day of our wedding, we did a first look and Christa created some gorgeous shots of us at the Maryland State House, on Francis Street, Main Street and at the City Dock. She did a wonderful job of making the process easy and fun! Once we were at the venue, she faded into the background to capture some wonderful moments during our ceremony and then did a fantastic job of corralling family and friends for some beautiful portraits just outside our venue, the Powerhouse Building on West Street. Once the Reception began, she was capturing the more significant highlights of the evening while also discovering a lot of smaller, more intimate moments between us and our closest family and friends. We were very impressed when we saw the preview shots that she sent us the week after our ceremony. This couldn't begin to prepare us for how astounded we were with the quality of the pictures we saw once she had completed her editing process! We have already looked through the album multiple times and it has been like reliving our wedding day all over again! Amazing Photographer!

From the moment we met Christa and went through her portfolio to getting a sneak peak of pictures the day after our wedding, we were absolutely thrilled with her professionalism and amazing work. Christa took amazing picture of us and our dog at both the engagement shoot and wedding. She was also very patient with our friends and family that were always missing when needed for pictures. You will not be disappointed if you choose Christa. We received over 900 pictures from our wedding day about two weeks after the wedding and we are having a very hard choosing which pictures to print or make albums with because they are all perfect moments from our day.

If you’re in search for a photographer look no further! Christa Rae is the complete package! My husband and I were stationed in San Diego for most of the planning but from the beginning she made us feel at ease and confident that no matter how the day turned out she would deliever truly fantastic and beautiful photos. The moment she arrived, her professionalism and positive energy created such a natural and at ease environment for not only my husband and I but also the entire bridal party! Christa took all of our ideas and made every one of the happen (even if it meant walking around Downtown Annapolis on a beautiful crisp Saturday=a lot of tourist). Christa is simply amazing! She is organized, so prompt with communication, and dedicated to capturing the best photos! I never once saw her sit down at our wedding. In fact, at one point she stood on a chair just to get the best shot. Christa is the sweetest and so easy to connect with. She did the photography at my sister's wedding and we absolutely loved her that we booked her right away for ours. Her photos are very natural which I love. She has a photography timeline which helps keep the day running smoothly and on time. I emailed her a few sample pictures of shots that I really wanted, and she was very accepting of that and made those shots happen on our wedding day. She posted a sneak peek photo the very next day which is awesome! Since our wedding was on my in-law's property, I knew it was a venue she had never seen before, even though she is from the area. So she came over for a site visit before the wedding just to walk around the property with me and figure out where the best place for photos were so we weren't scrambling to figure it out the day of the wedding. She even drove us about 3 minutes down the road to take more photos during our cocktail hour of where my husband and I met. She really just wants to best for you and will do anything you want. I am so happy we picked Christa for our wedding photographer and can't wait to see all the photos soon!

I found Christa by a random Google image search when I originally thought I wanted to do our engagement photos at Cylburn Arboretum. Further exploration through her portfolio and our first meeting sealed the deal! Christa's attention to detail and experience running her own business shines not only from each photo taken but from Christa's presence behind the camera as well. At our initial meeting, she worked with me to find the best package for what we had budgeted for photography. Throughout the engagement, whenever I had a question, Christa responded very promptly and with extremely helpful suggestions. We had some unique ideas for our engagement session involving two locations that were not super close to each other, and Christa welcomed these with open arms and made our vision a reality. It was no different for the wedding day. We met about a week beforehand and had the opportunity to walk through our venue space together, which cleared up any last minute questions I had and made me feel calm, cool, and collected about our timeline/day-of game plan. Christa and her 2nd shooter met us at the hotel for getting-ready photos, and were very patient when the bridesmaids and I got behind schedule to make it to the first look location. Once we got there, there were 3-4 other wedding parties at the same spot taking photos! Christa, unfazed, knew exactly where to place us and you'd think we had Federal Hill all to ourselves! We had so many wonderful areas to take photos at our venue, and Christa made the most of them so that we have a variety to choose from! We even sprung a last minute getaway car exit on her, and she stepped right up and made all of those photos look perfect, as well. If you're looking for a professional photographer who is easy to work with, knows the Baltimore/Annapolis area well, takes beautiful photographs, and can organize large groups of people quickly and smoothly (we requested a group photo of ALL our attendees), look no further! Deciding to use Christa Rae was probably the best decision I made in the entire wedding process. She's professional, she's affordable and she's genuinely a really nice, down to earth person who provides high quality photos that have a personal touch. It rained the day of our wedding and Christa was prepared with an alternative location already in mind for the first look, and she brought enough clear umbrellas for the entire wedding party to stay dry and still get super cute photos outside. Christa was 100% a joy to work with and worth every single penny!!! She has a clear passion for her work and has a calm and friendly demeanor that was perfect on the day of the wedding. She was never aggressive or demanding, always asked if we were ready for certain pictures, but still kept us on our photo schedule. I also appreciated how proud and excited she seemed about her own work as she would happily show me a preview of a couple of shots she got on her camera screen as we went along. This made me feel more confident that things were going well and I think the carefree bride and groom feelings came across in the pictures we received. I thought taking the pictures would feel like a bit of a chore on the wedding day but we honestly had so much fun doing it. A positive attitude and environment can change everything! We also worked with Christa for an engagement shoot which I would highly recommend doing. The engagement shoot gave us some practice with posing and what to expect for the day of. On the wedding day (even though it was almost a year after our first shoot with her!) we felt like pros and were very comfortable. This is saying a lot, especially for my new husband who has always been very camera shy - you would not know it from looking at the pictures we received! She understood how to work with us, she was attune to our theme and the poses we liked best, I honestly could go on and on about how happy we are that we chose Christa to be our wedding photographer. The only question I'm left with is how many wedding pictures can you hang up in your own home before people think you are nuts? We could not be happier.

Christa photographed our wedding day in May of 2017 and I must say she did a phenomenal job! From the moment we met, I felt confident that she would capture all those special moments - and she truly delivered on the big day. Working with Christa was simply delightful! Christa was very responsive, professional, organized and personable. From our first meeting I knew we were going to be pleased with the product she delivered and she did not disappoint! She provided a very detailed, insightful brochure that laid out the typical wedding day schedule that was perfect for my daughter and I to discuss the exact types of pictures we wanted and the timing. Sharing ideas with Christa was easy and she was almost immediate with her responses and followup. On the day of the wedding she was AMAZING! She is so stealth! Working in and around all the activities, capturing all the perfect moments but without any disruption to the ceremony or events. Without detection and interruption she captured EVERYTHING! She worked in advance to ensure we captured all the family photos we wanted, and then kept the checklist to run through during the wedding to make sure we got everyone as intended. She kept us on schedule, wrapped up the evening just as professionally as she started and followed up within the next day to release the first amazing photo we could admire and share. She delivered the photographs in near record time, given our wedding was over a holiday weekend and she had a ceremony the following week. I have already recommended Christa to others and can't wait to work with her again when my other two daughters are ready for their big day!

Christa was AMAZING!! We had so much fun with the pictures, she was so sweet and captured so many perfect moments throughout the night and made it feel like a fairy tale! I look back on my wedding album everyday just to relive the magical day! Thank you so much!!

I am SO thankful we had Christa for both our engagement shoot and wedding day. The work she did is absolutely amazing. I keep looking at all of our photos over and over again because they are so beautiful.
Christa is definitely very talented, personable and overall just a really sweet person. I'd give her 10 stars if I could! I highly recommend her!

Christa did a great job on our wedding. We love all the engagement and wedding pictures. She is very professional, friendly, and also provided extra service with no additional charge. She is amazing.
I had interviewed quite a few photographers, and Christa's quote and service is very reasonable and competitive. Strongly recommend!

I decided to plan my wedding in a short period of time and I contacted Christa through Wedding Wire. I looked at her work and reviews and she was very responsive to my emails and she was willing to work within my budget. The day of she was perfect. She made sure she got the shots that are important to all brides and got the specific shots I asked for. My husband hates getting his picture taken and she remained pleasant through all his whining. After the wedding, she sent me a personalized USB that had one of our wedding prints on it. I was 100% pleased with the photos. They turned out perfect. She captured special moments, got pics of my guests and all the usual pics of the cake, jewelry, dress, etc. Highly recommended!

I raved about Christa regarding our engagement shoot, but had to rave again now that our wedding day is over! We are so happy we chose Christa to capture our big day. She seemed to be behind the scenes and unnoticeable, yet captured truly amazing pictures. She must have been running all over during the ceremony because there are so many different vantage points of the ceremony! She captured all the pictures that we wanted, even making sure we got the poses I had posted on Pinterest (despite me emailing her only on the morning of the wedding to tell her I had created a board!!). We couldn't believe we got the edited pictures back as quickly as we did - nor could my friends who have been married.

The pictures are gorgeous and have us reliving the day over and over with huge smiles! The only problem is we can't decide which photos to print!

As the mother of the bride I can give the highest accolades to Christa. She was extremely detailed and focused on the planning. My daughter absolutely loved Christa – she was flexible to accommodate the shots my daughter wanted and to leave off those she didn’t want to get just the right images. Christa made my daughter and her groom comfortable and relaxed even though the groom does not like to have his picture taken. The result of all her hard work and talent show in the wonderful photos we have of the entire event. I would recommend her without reservation to any couple looking for a fantastic wedding photographer.

Christa is amazing! From our engagement session with her, we knew we had booked the best photographer for us. She takes beautiful photographs and made our wedding day stress free and calm. We literally just got our pictures back today and as we sat and looked through the pictures, we felt like we were reliving our wedding day. She is highly recommended!
