Excellent photographer

We had the joy of having Chris as our wedding photographer and we couldn't be happier. He answered all my questions before I had even asked them on our initial call and because of that I had no extra stress from pictures on my wedding day. The pictures came out beautifully and we get compliments on them all the time. I would definitely recommend working with him.

Worth every penny

Chris is well renown in the field for his photography skills and editing. I could go into detail but I'm sure you can find hundreds of reviews saying the same thing. What really made Chris stand out to us was his dedication to our special day and making us feel confident that he had everything under control. Chris had to go in for emergency surgery a few weeks before our wedding. Throughout the process he kept us updated and worked on getting us another photographer in case he could not make it himself. Not only did he get us another well known and highly recommended replacement photographer, but Chris also came to our wedding and took photos while he was still recovering from his surgery. Both photographers did an amazing job, but Chris showed a true dedication to his craft and to his clients that deserves all the praise we can give him. For anyone still deciding how to budget their wedding, I can speak from experience when I say that Chris is worth every penny.

Best Photographer Ever!

Chris is 100% the most AMAZING wedding photographer ever. Hands down! Our pictures are absolutely beautiful, and he was so patient with us and knew exactly what he was doing. He met with us when we decided we wanted to have him be our photographer and he met with me again about a week before the wedding to get a schedule for the day down. He answered all of our questions and was very prompt. So many people at our wedding were commenting on how great he is. He made us feel at ease and really got some stunning photos. If I could give 100 stars I would! He's also one of the nicest people I ever met! We couldn't have asked for a better photographer! We have BEAUTIFUL pictures to use to look back on our special day!! The Hardest Working Photographer We Have Ever Seen

We can not say enough good things about Chris as our photographer! I have no doubt in my mind that Chris is the reason we had a flawless wedding day. Chris worked so hard to capture every moment through out the day, from showing up early to staying late for sparkler end off photos. My husband and I even joke that Chris would have take pictures all night long and we would have never seen our reception if we had let him. That means a lot to us. The photographer was a huge part of our budget, and he worked so hard for us. Not to mention our photos, that will be hung in our home for the rest of our life, are amazing!! Hire chris

What can I say about Chris? His work really speaks for itself. He is hands-down the best photographer I've ever met and worked with. Obviously his eye for capturing light and the personalities of his subjects is above reproach, but more than that he is so easy to work with. In the past I've worked with photographers who made me feel uncomfortable and were even a little creepy. Not Chris. He is such a nice person and made me feel at ease during my bridal portraits and at the wedding. If you are nervous in front of the camera he will coach you through what to do and will make you look more beautiful than you could imagine. My husband is also not the type of guy who likes to be in front of a camera (that is a huge understatement). Chris brought out the inner model in my husband and whoo-wee did he look hot in those photos lol. Chris also captured so many shots of him smiling throughout the day and Cale NEVER smiles in photos. I was ecstatic. He captured every little detail I asked him for and more. He even got to the venue early to capture shots of us getting ready and opening gifts. I didn't even know where he was half the time because he is so subtle when he shoots which made the whole night feel more authentic somehow. And word to the wise, if Chris says the lighting outside looks like it would make for a cool shot, listen to the man. We had some really cool shots when we ran out for a quick ten minutes during cocktail hour that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise. If you want photos of beautifully, authentic, candid photos that completely encapsulate the beauty of the happiest day of your life, hire Chris. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

One word: phenomenal

There are not enough words I can fit in this box to express just how amazing Chris is. My husband and I are from Texas, and as soon as I saw Chris’ work I immediately knew I HAD to hire him. The first phone call with Chris sold me even more. He’s very outgoing and super easy to talk to, which is important for a photographer for your special day. We flew to NC last December for our engagement shoot & he did not disappoint. He spent a great deal of time with us since we flew in from out of state and made sure I got all the shots I wanted. That shoot made me even more excited for our wedding day. On our wedding day the weather was great for the ceremony, but it began raining a little bit when we were taking pictures. BUT this bride did not care because Chris was our photographer and those sunset rain pictures ended up being the most BREATHTAKING photos I have ever seen. Every single photo Chris takes looks like a magazine ad. Oh, and he does really well of capturing the unplanned, fun reception pictures, and you don’t even notice he’s there capturing those special moments. HIRE HIM. It will be the best decision you’ve ever made!

I would highly recommend Chris Lang to anyone wanting top notch wedding photography. His work speaks for itself and his professionalism and attention to detail are outstanding. He was very thorough in collecting all of our requests before the wedding so that he could deliver exactly what we wanted, and he definitely did just that. He was also great about letting us know when there was an opportune time for us to step away for a photo without interrupting the flow of the night. Aside from his high quality of work, what sets Chris apart from the crowd is his customer service. More than a year after our wedding had passed, I noticed an error in our wedding album (error from the printer, not from Chris). I contacted Chris to see what our options were for re-printing the book, and he responded right away and advocated for us with the printer to produce a new book. Even when the printer denied the request because so much time had passed, Chris replaced it at his cost. His understanding and kindness meant the world to us and I'm confident he carries that same level of integrity with all of his clients and would highly recommend him to anyone. I look forward to working with him for family photos and other opportunities in the future.

Chris was quite literally the best photographer my husband and I have ever worked with. He had so many great ideas/suggestions that we really just let him call the shots for the pictures we took. Before the big day he contacted us and spent about an hour on the phone going over all of our requested shots and any ideas we might have had at the time. During the wedding he was very professional and unobtrusive. Most guests said they forgot he was even there. The pictures we got back were absolutely amazing and we love them! Chris has such an artistic eye for locations and poses and people. I truly do not think we can do it justice to say how happy we were with our choice. Chris is amazing and we loved working with him.

I cannot say enough fabulous things about Chris! He was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING throughout my entire wedding experience. From the very beginning Chris made my husband and I feel very comfortable. Chris was extremely professional throughout the entire process. At our first consultation with Chris he showed us a variety of his picture gallery so he could get a feel of our style and we could show him things we really wanted out of our big day. Chris offered great suggestions to shoot our engagement photos and my bridal portraits. Chris was hands down our best wedding decision that we made. We talked with several photographers as we started wedding planning and we didn't have to think twice once met him to go with him. He is incredibly calm and professional, gives his input but also lets you give your own ideas and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We got our wedding photos back so quickly and they were breathtaking. Let him keep taking pictures when he has "one last shot" idea, those ended up being some of our favorites!! We could not recommend him more highly, book him you will not regret it!

My husband and I had a great experience using Chris Lang as our photography. He shot all of our photos starting with our engagement session, then bridal portraits and ultimately our wedding. Do you want a photographer? Or do you want a Ninja? Well it's your lucky day, because Chris Lang is both. I'm not even joking. He's everywhere and he gets every shot. Looking through some of the shots of my wedding, I was wondering "how does he do that?!". He even has this super cool camera belt to execute his Ninja moves.

Chris Lang is insanely good. There are not enough words to describe how good he is, but the pictures say it all! Even more than that, he just a genuinely good person. We booked Chris pretty much on the spot (and I'm so glad we did because he books up quick!). I didn't bother meeting with anyone else.

We had our engagement shoot on my fiancé's birthday and Chris was amazing at helping me pull of the surprise (after we did out shots, there was a hot air balloon ride. Check out his gallery. The shots are killer!)

I was one of those super lucky brides that had Hurricane Matthew arrive on my wedding day and had to abort the mission 2 days before my wedding.

We were so fortunate that Chris was available and willing to shoot our wedding 5 months later.

When the day finally arrived, you'd figure it would go off without a hitch, right? I mean, i had a practice run 5 months before. Guess again! While other vendors had me pulling out my hair, there was NEVER one moment Chris let us down. He kept us calm and laughing the whole time and even got us back on our timeline after some major blips.

Everyone at our wedding could not stop talking about "the photographer". He's so passionate about his work and it shows as he's kneeling, sometimes lying, on the floor to get the perfect shot (And of course his ninja camera belt was a hit too!)

By far the best decision I made when planning my wedding. I loved his style of photography. Chris is very creative. Things to look for in a photographer- you need someone to pose you, someone who is going to pull you and your new hubby away for special pictures through out the night, someone who can go with the flow and deal with multiple personalities and a photographer that does not take away from your wedding while taking pictures. Chris was fantastic. He pulled us away for photographs of my husband and I. Hands down these photographs are my favorite. Don't get me wrong- every Southern bride needs those classic wedding poses, but the ones that were at the end of the night after everything had calmed down, I will always treasure. Chris did my bridals as well. I am not photogenic, nor do I know how to pose. He gave me direction. Photographed me in away that was flattering and natural. He also did my wedding video. I cannot describe how much I love everything he did. I have had several friends go with less expensive photographers and sadly regretted it. Chris has a very artistic element to his photography setting him apart from typical wedding photographers. I highly recommend the coffee table book as well!

Chris Lang is an extremely talented photographer. We hired him to photograph our wedding which also included a photo shoot for bridal portraits. Chris was very accommodating and able to meet with us around our busy work schedules. In addition, he really took the time to listen to what types of photos we were hoping to capture on our big day! My bridal portraits were absolutely stunning and our wedding pictures were amazing. I'm embarrassed to say that it has taken us ALMOST a year to pick out our wedding pictures for our wedding book because there were so many beautiful moments captured! What can I say...Chris absolutely blew both of us away. One of my biggest concerns going into the first pre-wedding shoot was how the photographer was going to direct both of us during the shoot. I heard stories of photographers being pushy and unenthused, but Chris was neither of the two. He knows how to get the perfect shot without being bossy or impatient. He mad both of us truly have fun with the experience and not as if we were just checking off a task on our wedding checklist. For his talent with the camera, I'd challenge anyone to find someone more dedicated, experienced, and creative with the style and techniques that he brings forward. I remember him telling us we'd have to wait til the end of the shoot to see the pictures because we were blown away at every shot taken and wanted to see them each time. Also, trust him when he wants you to do something that may seem awkward in position or location. The dude has a plan. By the end of your time with Chris, not only will you gain permanent printed or filmed memories of your wedding experience, but a guy that you can call a good friend.

From the moment my fiancé and I met Chris Lang, he was so easy to warm up to. My fiancé is a military man who is not crazy about getting his pictures taken. Chris made it fun for the both of us. He had us both laughing and we enjoyed every single moment of it. Chris is super creative and also allows you to add your own creativity in the photos as well. He incorporated our dog is some our photos! He truly is so easy going and comfortable to shoot with. When we got our pictures back, it truly looked like we were photoshopped into them. They were beautiful. I showed many of my friends and they could not believe how wonderful they turned out. Over all, Chris is by far the best photographer we could have ever asked for to shoot our engagement photos!

I left it up to my husband to pick the photographer since that is one of his hobbies. We narrowed it down to three photographers and met with Chris Lang first. We had a great connection and loved his work and he offers great packages at a really good price (many other vendors offer less for the same amount of money). After meeting with him we knew immediately that we wanted to use him for everything. We worked with him for our engagement pictures, bridal portraits and wedding and he did a phenomenal job. For someone who isn't used to photo shoots of just them, he did a great job directing and coming up with fun shots. He also was really interested in feedback of what shots we really liked and which we didn't and what kind of look we wanted. He was so easy to work with, very responsive, and flexible with dates (which is awesome for us since we run our own business). I HIGHLY recommend Chris Lang and know you won't be disappointed!

Chris Lang was the absolute best wedding photographer we could have asked for. From the moment I saw his work and spoke with him I knew he had to be our photographer. His work is unique and no other photographer compares (believe me I did my research). He does a good job of mixing traditional with contemporary to capture the perfect photo. He transitioned from one photo site to another, and from one group of people to another so smoothly. Chris worked non stop through the entire wedding. I had several people come up to me telling me they could not wait to see our pictures because of how hard he was working. They said that they have never seen a photographer work that hard at a wedding. Chris went above and beyond to make sure each moment was captured perfectly. When we got our pictures back we got back exactly what we expected and more. It is truly amazing how he works with the lighting. I can't say enough good things about Chris Lang. Words cannot express how amazing Chris was before during and after the wedding. After he talked me into doing bridal portraits, and I am so happy he did, they were beautiful and so well done. He spent time in the gardens with us and makes you feel so comfortable. He makes it fun too! As far as the wedding goes, he was there early and made him self at home snapping pictures you wouldn't think to do. He is extremely gifted and I would say very reasonably priced for the extraordinary work that he puts out. Even my budget loving husband said that what we spent on Chris Lang Photography was well worth it and he would have spent more. We absolutely LOVED working with Chris. He was laid back, put the whole bridal party at ease throughout the day, used time wisely, and kept us running on schedule. He gave us options if we wanted to sneak away and get more photos during the reception, but left the decision up to us. So glad we did, since we got a few more creative and cool shots! We got photos back in under 3 weeks in an online gallery, which was awesome too, and they were amazing...so hard to narrow down to just a few favorites! If we had to pick a photographer again today, we wouldn't hesitate to call Chris.

My boyfriend hired Chris to secretly take photos of our surprise proposal on the beach in NC. I had no idea what was happening and Chris captured my entire reaction when it happened. Everything happened so fast that it seemed like a blur and I am so thankful to have that memory documented.

Chris took a few posed pictures after things settled and knew exactly how we should stand, Where to be looking (etc) to achieve the best shots. It was evident he was experienced in the way he directed us and his creative ideas to showcase the ring using elements around us. He made us feel very comfortable throughout the whole shoot, which isn't always an easy task.

A day or two after, Chris sent is a few "teaser" pics and I was over the moon to get to see them so quickly. I like that he uses a few different techniques instead all one style. Some were more soft and romantic, while others were crisp and saturated.

I would recommend Chris whole heartedly, he is truly gifted

Interestingly enough it was Chris's work that ultimately lead us to getting married in Wilmington. We were searching the web for places and ideas when we ran across Airlie Garden photos that Chris had taken. We set up a short trip over the holidays to visit Wilmington and Chris was very accommodating to meet us at his studio that weekend. The quality of his work is exceptional but that probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind as odd as that sounds. The most memorable thing about Chris was the overall experience he provided throughout the entire process. From the moment we met him we really felt as if we have known him forever. Given the general stress, excitement, and complexity of planning a wedding he really puts your mind at ease with his ability to walk you through the process and offering up many ideas and approaches that will work for you. The reality is that most people don't really know what they want and he was certainly able to map out a plan, approach, and package that worked for us. We rated him a 5 out of 5 across the board without hesitation. The quality of his work (pictures) is impeccable from clarity, variety, and really being able to capture the essence of the day...not just lining up and snapping pictures. Chris was always easy to get in touch with before, during, and after the wedding and his professionalism and flexibility were also top shelf. He tirelessly worked with us to get our photo album and canvas portraits to be exactly what we wanted and he did not stop until we were 100% satisfied. One might think you would pay a fortune for this level of service but his prices are also very reasonable and he also was willing to customize a package and price for us since we had a small and simple wedding. Without hesitation I would recommend Chris for a wedding or any special event that you would want high quality pictures to enjoy the memories for a lifetime.

Hiring Chris Lang for our wedding and engagement photography was the best decision we ever made. Chris Lang is a stand out photographer. His pictures tell stories and capture the perfect moments. We only have one word for Chris Lang and that is awesome. Words cannot explain how impressed we are with his work. His highlight reel was just so good and captured the day so well. We are all about family and you can tell from his photographs he figured this out. Our daughter and son-in-law told us he made them feel so comfortable and just let them be themselves during their photo session. What we feel is most impressive are the special moments he captured. We are blown away at all the special moments he captured which will be memories for ever. He did all this while being very inconspicuous. Most of the time you did not even know he was there. We loved his work so much, we may plan a family beach trip close to Wilmington and have family pictures taken!

I am not even sure where to begin! I looked around forever for the perfect photographer.. I met with many different local photographers and looked at the work, pricing, and reviews. I came across Chris from a web search and loved his website! My husband and myself met with him and couldn't of been more pleased. I could not be more pleased with Chris Lang Photography. Chris is professional, nice, honest, on point, and an incredible photographer. He has been with us since the beginning - he took our engagement photos back in the fall and was incredibly accommodating. After our first shoot, I struggled with my hair and outfit choices. I didn't like the way I looked and he was more than willing to do a second shoot and they turned out better than the first. Two weeks before the wedding we did my bridal shoot - he was on time and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable, and that I was getting the shots I wanted. The week of the wedding he made contact and we went over my "must have picture list" as well as videography. He is extremely thorough and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. The day of he is like a ninja. He is in and out, taking thousands of pictures. We are so pleased with our photography experience and cannot wait to see the photos from our wedding. This is the best photographer to work with on ANY BIG EVENT in your life. Our engagement and wedding pictures were incredible!! Chris is NOT an in your face photographer, you won't even know he's there!! He made my wife and I feel at ease during what most people say is a very stressful time. Chris is awesome! We hired him for our engagement shots and we are so happy! They are amazing photos, Chris has a great eye. He also made us feel really comfortable, especially since I was fairly nervous about being photographed for so long! The photos are seriously magical. Sadly, he is booked for our actual wedding day...so my advice is book now!!!

We hired Chris to photograph our daughters wedding on Baldhead Island and to do a 'Trash the Dress' session a few days later. Chris' talents are just over the top. He's great at catching special moments and has a very special gift with lighting and nature settings! But my favorite thing about Chris is his sweet, calm demeanor. He puts everyone at ease and becomes a part of the wedding. He even calmed me down when people fell off my OCD timeline! He was completely focused on the Bride and Groom and they just fell in love with him! I think they will be special friends for life!
He put together the most beautiful 'Thank You' video for the Bride and Groom to send to their guests right after the wedding! Wow! I can't recommend him highly enough and I would definitely use him again.

We absolutely LOVE Chis! He is very professional, punctual, laid back and makes the process simple. He makes you feel like an old friend taking your pictures rather than a photographer. His eye for the “perfect shot” is unbelievable! Chris’ style makes the groom feel at ease and the sessions do not feel like a chore which is a big plus, if your husband is like mine  Chris did our engagement sessions, wedding and we plan on using him in the future for our family pictures. Highly recommend Chris Lang Photography- THE BEST!

Chris Lang was absolutely the most professional photographer with amazing talent and creativity. My wife Shanna did research and found his website and fell in love with his style of photography. As the groom my thought was only on finding the cheapest photographer close by that could work our date. By the end of our wedding we both agreed that Chris was by far the best investment of our amazing day. He gave amazing direction, was so conscious of the smallest details. The pictures turned out better than we could have even imagined! His videos are amazing as well. Ladies you will want the guy to be your photographer, and guys trust me Chris is the best value, and will make you feel totally comfortable. We can't say thank you enough To Chris for capturing our memories in such a beautiful way.

If I could give 6 out of 5 star ratings for Chris Lang and his assistants...I would! He was completely willing to work with me to give me the dream photography and video package I wanted for a fair price. He returned emails and phone calls right away and was very professional yet completely approachable. It was an out of town wedding so I didn't even get to meet him until the big day! After seeing his art, I knew he was amazing and I was not the least bit concerned with what the outcome would be! During the wedding he was on the ball all night and was able to get every photo on my "shot list!" Chris and his crew worked hard and the results speak for themselves. The video has brought tears to my eyes numerous times and is just absolutely amazing! Everyone who has seen it is awestruck by what a wonderful job he did. His photos are incredible. He is so talented! I am beyond happy with his work and would recommend everyone to hire him for whatever photo or video needs they have. Chris and his crew are incredible!

Chris is the absolute best! Extremely professional and talented! He really has an eye for beautiful photos and really listens to what a bride and groom want. Chris Lang is an amazing photographer and a true artist! He is a joy to work with and very good in inclement weather! We were married in the middle of a hurricane and he got some of the most amazing pictures! He has a way of capturing your story instead of just photos. We highly recommend him. He does amazing work and is very good at responding and getting the pictures to you quickly. He is extremely talented! He cares more about the people he photographs and giving you what you want than trying to sell products to you. He has the products, but doesn't try to make you buy everything like most photographers. We appreciated him listening to us and giving us what we wanted. He is just a wonderful photographer and a down to earth guy!

Chris Lang is fantastic! From the moment we spoke with him we felt at ease. Our engagement and wedding photos were more than we could have ever expected. Chris Lang Photography was not only professional and on schedule, but they were willing to listen to our view of what we wanted in terms of pictures. The photographers were non intrusive, yet they were able to produce beautiful intimate shots of our event. Chris's photographs captured the beauty of our contestants as well as our venue. His artistic eye gave us a range of photos we love and photos we never even thought of asking him to shoot. Chris Lang worked with our committee to create different avenues to make his pictures available and we look forward to working with him again for our 2014 pageant!

Chris Lang was great to work with for our engagement photos, rehersal dinner party, wedding day photos and wedding video. He was so nice to work with and accomodating. If you don't have ideas and you are looking for someone to help guide the process, he is great. He is also open and willing to work wiht any ideas you have. He made us feel very comfortable and helped us shake the awkward jitters that ususally come with having a camera in your face. We'd recomend him to anyone looking for memorable wedding photos!

Chris did our engagement shoot on Bald Head Island and was absolutely amazing. He was funny, laid back and flexible and put both me and my FI at ease during the shoot. The pictures are absolutely fantastic. I would recommend Chris for any photo services you may be looking for!

Working with Chris was amazing! I couldnt have asked for a better photographer. He exceeded my expectations. I did an engagement session, bridal portraits and day of wedding photos with him. He was very helpful. My husband hates taking picutres and he said he was actually excited to take pictures with Chris. Chris was very easy to work with and very accommodating to a busy schedule and last minute planing. My mom even said he was worth every penny when she cried the second time through the "Thank You" video.

Chris did an amazing job on our engagement and wedding pictures. He helped to make the day so special for us and we have incredible memories because of his amazing talent! We loved having Chris as our Photographer! He was very professional, always on time when shooting and was very prompt about returning my emails. Chris is a true professional. In addition to taking amazing photos (his website says it all!), he is responsive, helpful, gives direction, and makes you feel at ease. Chris flew from North Carolina to Colorado to photograph our wedding, and I never had to worry about a single thing. He showed up early, stayed late, and took the time to get the best possible photos of our families. In addition to the photos he took, he made the most amazing video of our day, which I secretly watch daily. You won't be disappointed when you hire Chris; you get more than you pay for. I only wish Chris lived closer, so we could have him document our lives more often. My husband and I can't wait to fly to Wilmington to have him take pictures of our son. I have nothing but awesome things to say about Chris Lang. I am a photographer myself and when I was choosing my own wedding photographer I was thinking I would be an aweful critic to anyones work but my own.... I have to say he exceeded my expectations! I was happy with every image! He paid attention to details that I worked so hard on, he was able to meet me for a last minute bridal session, the turn around for my pictures was very fast, and I got a video to preview the pictures while I was on my honeymoon! Chris is a great guy! Very nice and extremely professional. And to top it off He got all these great shots and I never even saw him... He stayed hidden off in the distance... and had a camera hidden on my arch. I would recommend him and use him again. He is a little pricey, but your weding day pictures last longer than the food, the dress, avan longer than memories! It was worth EVERY penny! <3

My husband and I are not from Wilmington so it was a little chaotic to meet and decide on vendors since we were almost 2 hours away. Chris Lang was the second photographer we met with and as soon as our meeting was over we both wanted to hire him. Chris is extremely dedicated, has an extensive portfolio, and is all around a nice and friendly individual. When our wedding day arrived, Chris not only photographed our "before" pictures but also drove us to our venue! He was professional yet had a great sense of humor, and our pictures came out beautifully. He captured our "action" shots and stayed a little extra longer to catch our cake cutting. He was extremely wonderful to deal with and we would definitely book him again if we ever needed any more photography done in the Wilmington area.
