To sum up our experience with Chris as our wedding DJ and MC: the dance floor at our wedding venue literally BROKE because so many people were dancing their a$$e$ off (a repair-person on-site had quickly come to remove the broken floor tiles). For a little context, my now-wife and I went into our wedding worried that not many guests would be interested in dancing... So wow, Chris absolutely blew our (and our guests') socks off. We had a huge variety of guests including young, old, east coast, west coast, partiers, non-partiers, etc. And seriously everyone was on that dance floor. Chris did such an amazing job of catering the music selection, volume, decade, etc. to everyone. It was just an all around top-notch, rockin’ dance party that our friends and family are still raving about 6 months later. As an MC, Chris was a fantastic balance of classy and enthusiastic (the perfect vibe!). And don't even get us started on how much of a joy it was communicating with Chris leading up to our wedding- he's such a great guy and is simply a pleasure to work with.
One of our very best decisions (and our most important piece of advice!) from our entire wedding planning process was trusting Chris with all the music/setlist decisions. Not only did this greatly simplify our to-do list, but Chris ran things like an absolute master. I wouldn’t give this advice for any other DJ/MC other than Chris - this is one of the huge benefits of hiring Chris. He’ll handle everything and do so in style! Chris is a professional who has seen it all: he knows how to get people on the dance floor and he knows how to work a crowd. Each any every song that would come on had our guests going “ohhhh!” and had people constantly rushing to the dance floor throughout the entire night. Chris read and ran the crowd amazingly and he did. not. miss. So please, for heavens sake, just hire him. (Thank you, thank you, thank you Chris!!!) -

We hired Chris originally for our 270 person wedding and used his services for our final 25 person ceremony. Through the multiple changes that occured this year, Chris never waivered to ensure our day was the best it could be. From the initial call to providing incredible energy the day of, Chris was absolutely amazing. We would HIGHLY recommend Chris for your wedding - if he is booked, change your wedding date to a time he is available! -

Chris is everything you want and need in a DJ! We not only loved him for making our wedding unforgettable, but he is also just a cool guy you want to be friends with. He was so easy to work with, especially when we changed our venue location and size due to COVID-19. He is meticulous in timing music for the ceremony and also helped with the sound for our live stream. He went above and beyond and we would 100% use him again! -

Robin Sent on 07/23/2018One of the best things I did for my wedding was book Chris Graves Music. I never expected to have a DJ keep my wedding reception dance floor packed until after 1 in the morning, but Chris did just that. But the even more impressive part is how much more he did than just that. He is also an MC and kept the flow of the reception running smooth without a single hiccup or bump in the road all night. He is so talented and experienced with weddings and I could not be more impressed. He helped us pick an entrance song the day of (as we just could not think of one for the life of us in the weeks leading up), let us finalize our first dance song 15 minutes before it happened (we were between two), and kept us excited and dancing the entire day and night. He got everyone out on the dance floor from our grandparents to our college friends to our parents; there was never a time that the dance floor wasn’t full. Chris is so easy going and simply a dream to work with, booking him for your wedding is a decision you will not regret! -
User2311982 Sent on 09/12/2015When my wedding planner told me about Chris Graves as a potential DJ/MC, she completely raved about him, and I booked him right then and there. Trusting my planner, I had high expectations, and Chris did NOT disappoint. The first time we met him, my mom & I were blown away with how outgoing he is and how comfortable he made us feel. It was like I was talking to my best friend- that's how fun and easy to talk to he is! I left our meeting feeling so confident in him and excited. The day of, he delivered 100%. He made the evening flow so well with directing guests and letting us all know the sequence of events. When it came time for him to DJ towards the end of the night, he had the whole dance floor PACKED for 2 whole hours! My guests were sad when it was over, wishing we could dance longer! I truly believe Chris Graves is the best in the Seattle area and I recommend him without a doubt to everyone! He couldn't have been more perfect. -

Orlene Sent on 10/08/2012Chris is a bit more expensive than the average DJ but not by much, and he is well worth it. He has a very professional demeanor and does all the set up of lighting and sound systems. An eloquent speaker who doesn't over talk or act cheesy but just makes sure the night runs smoothly. We filled out the online list of songs we wanted him to play but told him none but a couple were must and we trusted his judgment on what to play to please the crowd. The one think I would suggest is a day or two before the wedding talking to him on the phone and going over your musts besides your prior meeting with him just to make sure it is fresh in his head during the time he is prepping for your wedding anyway.
