    Great Service Chic Rentals

    We used Chic Event Rentals for our wedding. We booked them kind of last minute in the wedding world, about a month and a half before. They are in Monterey and we are in Fresno so we didn't want to drive all the way to their show room with how busy we were with the wedding. Viri was extremely nice and helpful and sent us photos of three different table set ups we were considering so I could see how they looked before making a decision. Saved me a long trip over there and helped me narrow it down! They have a lot of selections available, reasonable prices, and easy process to book and pay. Everything looked amazing the day of and I'm so glad we chose to rent through them!

    Chic Event Totally Delivered for Our Big Sur Celebration

    The team at Chic Event Rentals did an amazing job with our Loma Vista/Big Sur Bakery wedding earlier this summer. We loved modern touch the our order of ghost chairs added to our ceremony and the dinnerware we rented really elevated our table settings. Drop-off and pick-up were timely and our day went off without a hitch. We would absolutely recommend using their services for your Monterey county event!

    Beautiful rentals for an extra special touch on our wedding!

    My husband and I used Chic Event Rentals to add some extra touches to our wedding venue and we are so happy that we did! We rented an arch for the ceremony and some lounge chairs, love seats and coffee table to go around the dance floor for the reception. Marianne was extremely responsive throughout the whole process, quick to make any changes to our order and extremely easy for our planner to work with in coordinating the drop off and pick up process at the venue. Everything was in great condition and really gave our wedding an extra special touch without us needing to do much at all!

    When A Wedding Planner Gets Married...

    Chic Events is my go-to rental company recommendation for my client's weddings. So when I got engaged I knew I'd definitely be working with Chic for all of my rental needs. Our venue was Mesa Del Sol in Greenfield and it is a bare bones type of venue which meant we had to bring/rent most everything for the event. Tables, chairs, linens, heat lamps, china, silverware, glassware, etc. I worked with Andrea to choose my design and she could not have made it any easier. When you've been working in weddings as long as I have, you've seen a million beautiful different options and I was seriously struggling on the design. She was super patient with me as I worked it out and played with different colors and textures. As for the weekend-of, the delivery crew was on time, very respectful of the venue and overall really helpful. There's a reason I've been using this company for years and I couldn't have been happier with our rental experience for our own wedding!

    Chic Event Rentals had us covered!

    True professionals! Anthony and Brittneys team did and amazing job by helping us design and select the items from there beautiful showroom. They were so easy to work with and did and amazing job of being flexible and understanding when we made a goof!
    We forgot a table runner and they came out to drop it off at the venue site, who does that!

    The delivery guys were super friendly and helpful. I can not say enough about the team over at Chic. If you need rentals they are the only place you need to stop.

    Easy and efficient rentals!

    My husband and I got married at Ragged Point Inn in Big Sur and spent a lot of time looking at rental companies in the central coast. We eventually settled on Chic Rentals because of their selection and how easy they were to work with. We appreciated that they worked with us on quotes and were able to deliver early.

    The quality of the rentals was fantastic and we were really happy with how it all looked.

    This company is the best for the Monterey area! They were very responsive and helpful with all emails and calls. They were on time and got everything cleared from the venue when it was supposed to be! Thank you for helping our day perfect!

    Choose Chic!

    As we were trying to figure out cocktail tables that we could use for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding, Chic Event Rentals was very kind and always happily answered our questions pick-up, drop-off, pricing, and styles available. The representative also helped us figure out what pick-up/drop-off dates would give us the best pricing and meet our needs. As we were delayed due to the Paradise Fire smoke, pick-up could have been nightmare but the warehouse was easy to find, helpful in loading our car, and accommodating for our late pick-up. When we arrived at Chic for our pick up, I was impressed by the large inventory they maintain on-site.

    Highly recommend!

    I worked with Andrea at Chic Events and she was amazing! She was extremely responsive throughout the whole process and was quick to make any changes to our order. We rented chairs, sweetheart chairs, table cloth, votives, and a drape for our ceremony. Everything turned out amazing! Highly recommend.

    Very accomodating and on time. They are approved vendors at Holman ranch in Carmel Valley, CA, so also made it much easier with getting them on site.

    I own an event planning business (A STARR Events) in the Monterey Bay area and work with Marianne at Chic Event Rentals all the time. The company stands above the rest when offering custom decor and can accommodate any clients "theme" with design, color, & decor elements that reflect your personality. Marianne is my "go to gal" who ensures the rental items are correct and arrive on time. I rely on her wisdom and timing to help facilitate a perfectly executed event from delivery to pick-up!

    Don't bother to look further - save yourselves the stress. These people are professionals and their installation crew is extremely talented as well. The event went very smoothly, in large part because of Chic Events. We rented chairs (which made all the difference in the "classy" look of the room), uprights, a display easel and fabric panels. We received excellent advice as to placement and design from the staff. Be happy, hire Chic Events, enjoy your lives. :)

    They were able to deliver all the things we ordered out to a campsite in Big Sur. They even worked with the rangers to make sure everything would work out without a glitch on the day of. And it sure did work out!

    Chic was amazing. We had a tent reception with chandeliers and drapery and twinkle lights! They delivered everything on time as promised and set it up efficiently. Their team was responsible and caring. The next morning they turned over a lost cell phone they had found while breaking down the tent!

    Chic Event Rentals was great to work with on my wedding day. They had plenty of color choices to chose from, plus many choices of fabrics. I used chic for my table clothes and bistro lights and it all turned out beautifully. I worked with Veronica who was such a great help. She was very prompt at returning my e-mails regarding cloths sizes and colors. This bistro lightening in the X formation was beautiful at night. Thank you Chic Event Rentals!

    Chic was wonderful for my Wedding Day needs at MPCC. I originally called Chic and knew exactly what I wanted and Britney was great at making my vision come to life. My Theme was Classy Chic with Black and White Stripe Linens. All of my wedding guests could not get over how elegant and classy all the table setting were. Chic was the best of the best I and I am so happy to have worked with them.

    Thank goodness for Chic Event Rentals! They were so awesome to work with, accommodating and flexible! Veronica knows everything there is to know about wedding event rentals and is prompt with her replies.

    Chic really came through for us when 2 days before our wedding we needed to order a tent, due to the chance of rain at our outdoor location. They were able to overnight a new tent from the manufacturer and set it up just in time for our big day. We loved working with them!

    I was very pleased with the service provided by Chic Events for my wedding. We rented chair covers, sashes, table overlays, specialty table linens, tall crystal vases for our centerpieces with manzanita branches spray painted in silver with crystals hanging from the branches, and disc lights around the bottom of the vases. Britney was nice enough to tie rhinestone ribbon that I provided around the bottom of the vases where the disc lights were located. We also had our florist hand tie roses on the branches. I worked very closely with Britney and she did an excellent job helping me with the design of my centerpieces as well as the other items that we rented from them. She was very responsive to all of my email inquiries and was very accommodating when I wanted to update or make changes to the order. I also worked with Veronica who was very helpful as well. I was back and forth and changing my mind a lot and wanted the comfort of being able to see how the table set up would look with everything I picked all set up and Britney was more than happy to allow me to come into the showroom to see it all put together. I appreciated that very much since I am a visual person and I needed to see it all put together. We also rented up lighting from them which really made the room glow the night of the wedding. They were also accommodating in allowing me to come in and see the different colors of up lighting on the walls in the showroom to help me make my decision. Their crew was very professional on the day of the wedding and they were there setting up at the precise time they were supposed to be there and everything looked phenomenal. It was gorgeous! I loved the way our reception space looked and many thanks goes to Britney at Chic Events and her amazing crew! I highly recommend Chic Events if you are looking for a professional, high quality event company to help you design your event. Thanks to Britney and everyone at Chic Events!

    From start to finish, working with Chic Events for my wedding was a fabulous experience. Brittany Fischer walked me through their rental options and, based on the details I provided about the event, she even told me where I could cut back and save myself some money. They were very flexible right up to the date of the wedding. Everything arrived on time and was set up carefully & beautifully. The two gentlemen who coordinated the set-up even came back, hours later, with two new light bulbs as they noticed two bulbs were out on the bistro lights. All of the pieces rented, from the mahogany tables to the glassware, were gorgeous. If I lived in CA, I would use them for all future events!

    Chic was absolutely amazing from start to finish. They were not only extremely professional, flexible, and efficient, it was also clear that they understood my vision, and would do everything on their power to execute it. My wedding ceremony and reception venue didn't provide any equipment, decor, or even chairs and tables... So I really depended on Chic to help me pull the whole thing off. I couldn't have done it with out them. Their attention to detail, impeccable taste, and ability to get things done on time and with a beautiful asthetic is unmatched and much appreciated. I will continue to go to Chic for any event, rental, or decor needs that come up in my future. Do yourself a favor and do the same! They are simply the best.

    Everyone at Chic Events was so organized, kind, and wonderful to work with. They always responded to my questions in a timely manner. And the day of delivered amazing products with no drama or problems. Patti, the florist went above and beyond for us. Her flowers were gorgeous and she was a delight to work with. As well with Veronica, she was lovely to chat with and had wonderful follow through. Chic Events, has everything that a bride would need for rentals and flowers. It was great to only deal with one vendor that covered many needs. I would highly recommend them to any bride!

    We rented all black folding chairs for the ceremony seating because the venue had white and we wanted black and they were booked thru Wedgewood Weddings & Banquet Center which was our venue and we got a better deal than had we booked them ourselves which was a plus. They were very nice and all in great condition. Very affordable as well especially since our wedding was New Years Eve there was no holiday up charge.

    Chic is amazing they did a great job helping me pick stuff out for my wedding. They were also very helpful and flexible setting everything up before the wedding. Britney worked with me throughout the whole process making sure my order was perfect. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone they are really great and all of there supplies are beautiful and new not old and worn down like some party places.

    Britney went above and beyond in accommodating myself for my wedding day as well as for helping my mom in ordering items for my bridal shower. The quality of the items we rented were great as well! Couldn't have been happier!!

    We used Chic for all our rentals for our wedding in Carmel at a private estate. The rentals were delivered as promised and picked up as promised...Everything was well organized and looked amazing once all set up. I stopped by the store unexpectedly one afternoon and asked to see the items that I had previously picked out and they were very accommodating and took the time to set a table as I had picked out and were very patient with me while going through the list of items I had picked out. Super helpful....And to my surprise they also own DNA Entertainment which we ended up also hiring for our DJ at our wedding, both did a fantastic job!

    We used Chic for our wedding rentals at Holman Ranch and were very pleased with them. The delivery and pick-up process went seamlessly and all of the items were in great condition. They have a showroom where you can see most of them in person before as well which really helps. We also had to adjust our contract and items needed many times and they were very helpful and understanding. I would definitely recommend them!

    Chic Rental helped to make all our wedding visions a reality! From the rustic wine barrels to the hanging lanterns, they were instrumental in making our wedding gorgeous. I was able to work with Chic through our caterer, Aqua Terra, and both companies made it easy to make quick decisions/changes AND we only had to write one check! It was convenient, professional, and a pleasure to work with them!

    I just posted this on yelp but wanted to come over here and weigh in on their fabulousness. :)

    We got married last weekend in Big Sur, in the great outdoors and had to rent a lot of stuff to make it all happen. Chic Events was recommended by our day-of-coordinator (a freaking gem named Mariah Green-- I'll review her elsewhere)-- and I'm so glad I took her advice.

    Because we planned our own wedding, there was a lot of back and forth the last few weeks about what our caterer said we actually needed for chafing dish rental, adding things, taking them off, etc. But Chic Events (and most especially Andrea, a total sweetheart) handled it so incredibly kindly. Even I was sick of emailing them to tweak our order but Andrea rolled with our changes each time. If only every wedding planning interaction could go so smoothly!

    We cut a few corners by not renting their linens in the end and in general taking out the extras, but Chic Event Rentals was fine with every change, was on-location early and handled setup and tear down like pros. I even heard they gave us a few extra squares of dance floor, since they had it-- and that was awesome of them too. (also, we needed it, good call guys.) Chairs, some extra tables, full plates, cutlery, glasses, some decorations-- all was delivered early and picked up a little late, just exactly what you want when the party seems to end too soon. :)

    Thank you so much, Chic Event Rentals! You really made renting pleasant and enjoyable! And mega Andrea kudos-- she was just so kind.

    Chic was by far the most affordable rental company we found in Monterey. Chic rentals has been wonderful in helping us to plan our wedding event. Andrea especially, from the first time we walked into the showroom, was friendly, helpful, engaged in the creative process, and efficient! We made numerous revisions over the months of planning, and she responds promptly and accurately to email or phone calls. We really appreciate the peace of mind that this type of customer service provides!!! Their installation team was absolutely fabulous, not only did they do a great job, but they were so polite and professional. Every rental that they brought in was in great shape, and made our wedding so beautiful. They have a great selection and were very easy to work with. Would definitely recommend!

    I wish there were more stars to give! Anthony and his team were absolutely phenomenal! Our outdoor wedding was perfectly lit and furnished, and when we found out it was going to rain, Anthony sprang into action and had the entire event tented for us on just a couple of days notice. If you are at all concerned about the price, like I was, don't let it hold you back. You are literally working with the best, and great service like what Anthony and the team at Chic provided is priceless on the most important day of your life! You can search all around the Bay area, but you will not find service like the personalized service that Anthony gives to his clients. Don't make the mistake of going to someone else!

    Great rental company!

    We enjoyed visiting the showroom and picking out our table place settings! All of the rental items we ordered were in good condition, and arrived to our wedding venue on time. The team at Chic was great!

    This is an experienced, established business with a great approach to even a "small" event. I was concerned that staff would want to talk me into upgrading dishes and glassware but they totally understood the informal, rustic theme...that something fancier just wouldn't be "better". When I added several items to the list (after about a month) it was absolutely no problem at all. Delivery and pick up was on time - which was important since the event was at another person's home. Thank you!

    We worked with Marianne at Chic and she has been so easy to work with! She was flexible and willing to work with us to find the perfect combo of rental needs for our strolling reception! They have beautiful rental furniture and many great options to choose from! They are slightly higher priced than other rental companies in the area, but the ease of working with them made up for the slightly higher price.

    Beautiful show room! The Perry House uses this vendor for linens. They were very friendly and let me come down to pick out my table cloths. I really appreciated that. Seeing them on display gave me a better idea than just looking at fabric samples provided by the venue.
    Their rentals looked very well taken care of and I look forward to using them for future events.
    My only complaint is that they are not open evenings and weekends, but it looked like you could make an appointment on Saturdays.

    Had a great experience with Chic Rentals. They were very flexible with my changing needs and when they didn't have items that I needed they connected me with another vendor who ended up providing the items. Seamless execution on the day-of (evident from the fact that I didn't have to think twice about it and it all got done). Would def use them again.

    Great quality and condition of event rentals: clear top tent, dinnerware, silverware, linens were great with no disappointments. Brittany at Chic was a pleasure to work with: knowledgeable, responsive and pleasant.     Great linen and furniture rentals

    Zero complaints here - we had a great rental experience with Chic Event Rentals from Monterey for our wedding in Carmel Valley this September. The linens we rented (Poplin collection) were fairly priced and very high quality for our event. We also rented lovely lawn furniture, which were popular among our guests. Had a great experience, and I'd be happy to work with Chic again.

    I needed to make several changes to my order as the wedding planning changed and Veronica was very responsive and accommodating. She was also very helpful in the beginning with price quotes. My husband and I got married at Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley and as a result of the relationship between the two, the delivery and pickup was completely effortless.

    There were a couple minor things, we had rented tiki torches for our wedding which were never lit, not sure who was supposed to light them, also we were supposed to have 8 up lights at our reception and I only saw 4 (We had only rented 4 however there was a mix-up with our original DJ and so the owner offered to provide 4 additional up lights as a courtesy). As mentioned quite minor as everything else was great. Good quality products

    Britany was very responsive and professional through the whole process as there were a number of changes to our rental order.

    Overall I loved working with Chic Events! They helped me stay within the budget and were flexiable with my numbers too! They reccomended their sister company for the photobooth which we loved. Andrea was my initial go to person who was wonderful and helpful! She gave me her honest opinion and helped me pick what was best for the overall look. I would totally recommend Chic to anyone!

    Extremely flexible with emergency last minute changes. Rented a speaker and tables. Nice that they charge per event, not per day. We were able to use the same tables for the rehearsal dinner and ceremony.

    Chic Events was a preferred vendor for the hotel where we had our wedding. They were on the expensive side but convenient, easy to work with and had lots of variety and options on linens, chairs, decor, etc.. They were helpful and very responsive. We also got our photo booth with ChicEvents. If you want an enclosed photo booth, they cannot accomodate that. We used the open photo booth and it worked out great!

    Our company worked with Chic for the very first time at this event. Britney was most pleasant to work with and she and Chic did all that they could to meet our needs. Our clients were pleased with their event and we were too. The only issue we had was with the lighting. The initial plan to have uplights in certain locations had to be changed since the lights were not noticeable at all. (We felt we should have been advised of this ahead of time) We asked the set up crew to place them elsewhere and they did. However, in general, the lighting supplied did not compare to that offered by a company who deals specifically with lighting design and installation. We must acknowledge, though, that the Chic crew was open and very willing to re-install the lighting at alternate locations within the venue to give greatest impact to the decor. It was definitely a positive experience working with Chic at this event.

    Everything was perfect except the quality of the tablecloths. Cloths were stained with oil residue. Everything else: heaters, chairs, fire pit, glassware, bar and tables were fantastic. Delivery on time and very accommodating. I would use this company again.

    Great quality items, somewhat difficult to work with

    I used Chic for my wedding at Waterfall Lodge. Going into working with them, I knew they were going to be the pricier option, but I also knew they had better quality items than other rental companies in the area, so I was willing to make that concession. Their items were definitely high quality and did not have chips in the plates, scratches in the wood, wobbly chairs, etc. so I was very happy with that! They were however difficult to work with leading up to the event. I was passed around to several different sales people before I could even get someone on the phone. Then, I made several changes leading up to the event, which is normal (I work in the industry), and the representative I worked with wasn't super responsive and often made note of just how many changes I had made. It felt like every little thing I asked of them was a huge favor and not just their job... they weren't willing to help make my experience easy and seamless. All in all, I was happy with the quality of products, but not thrilled with their customer service.

    Hi Kelsi,

    Thank you for your feedback.

    I went ahead and looked into your correspondents with our sales team. It looks like you originally submitted a form submission through our website on February 6, 2020. You stated your wedding date was going to be on October 17, 2020 and would take place at Waterfall Lodge.

    You received a response on February 7, 2020 and we scheduled you an appointment for March 24, 2020 at 3pm in our Monterey Showroom.

    You then emailed on March 13, 2020 to cancel your appointment and let us know you would reach back out to reschedule. You did reach back out on April 20, 2020 and we set up a phone call for April 22, 2020 due to our offices being close due to the new stay at home order.

    After our phone conversation, you were emailed a quote the same day.

    Then, we received an email on June 21, 2020 that you would be postponing your October 17, 2020 wedding and would be moving it to October 20, 2021. The updated quote with the new date was email to you then.

    The next time we heard from you was in January of 2021. Another phone conversation was set up. You were emailed another updated quote. And we set up an in person showroom appointment for April 7, 2021.

    During your April 7, 2021 meeting, you met with Viri. Since Viri met with you in person, she went ahead and sent you a new quote and took over the order.

    Please know, during the stay at home order, I was the only one working for a few months. Once we received our sales team back, many clients I had been working with were passed onto our sales team. As you can imagine, one person cannot properly keep up on all the weddings. This is the only reason why you were passed onto another sales team member.

    After April 2021, Viri is the only person who made any edits to your quote. We do have a record of this if you would like to see it.

    Also, looking at the transaction edits, I do see many changes being made between April and October.

    I did also go through and read all the email correspondents between Viri and you. Viri responded to all of your emails in a timely manner. She did ask for some more time when we hit Car Week (which occurs in August), which is our busiest week every year. Once this week hits, our entire sales team does need to focus 100% of their attention on these jobs so it does make sense why she asked you this.

    I also did see the one comment she made in a joking way about this being the most updated contract she has ever dealt with. I do not think her humor came across like she thought it did, so we do apologize about this being misinterpreted as being rude on your end.

    Since you are in the industry, I am sure you are aware that this year was incredibly busy given all the postponements from 2020. With that, we were all working around the clock to provide the best possible customer service we could to all clients. And in the end, we feel we provided you the best possible customer service we could and apologize you do not feel the same way.

    Arrived Late, Slow & Incorrect Setup

    We used Chic for our wedding on 9/5. They arrived almost an hour after the time window that they gave us. We paid extra for set up of our rentals, but the staff that arrived seemed to be standing on their phones- they weren't setting our stuff up and hadn't even taken away the rentals they had there from the wedding the previous day. Our time window before guests arrived was quickly shrinking and we had to send family members outside several times to ask them to get moving. When they did start to set up, their rows of chairs were crooked and had to be fixed by family members. Things were finally set up about 15 minutes before guests arrived. A very stressful experience and disappointed with the service.
