This is the location my now husband and I met on our first blind date, so we only thought we should finish our circle and get married here! It had everything we both wanted. An outdoor garden for our ceremony which was also next to the water and an indoor (protected from the weather) backup option and reception location! When booking this location, it's the town you are booking-the venue, the small and quaint B&Bs, the cafes and restaurants. The wedding turned into a weekend of amazing memories. From our first meeting to the big day, Eddie was easy to work with, had an amazing calm yet humorous manner and was a great addition to planning our day (we also had him officiate). Each visit more and more fell into place and by our last visit we felt organized and prepared for our big day! The staff made sure everything was set up the way I envisioned it and I can honestly say I have no complaints or anything I would go back and change! I enjoyed every single minute of the day!

My husband and I fell in love with Chesapeake Inn when we first went to visit it. The scenery is so pretty with the water and boats, and the ballroom looked gorgeous! Eddie was our wedding coordinator there, and he was amazing! He always was quick to respond to our emails. Our wedding was the best night of my life. Everything ran smoothly, and we have nothing but good things to say about Chesapeake Inn. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was so fun. The prices were very reasonable for all you get. Definitely check them out!

I was a covid bride, so my husband and I celebrated our wedding reception this year! Let me tell you...I am a perfectionist and Chespeake Inn was PHENOMENAL!! Eddie was very easy to contact. Our guests loved the venue! The food was AMAZING. It was the best wedding food I have ever tasted. The staff were so pleasant and down-to-earth! My husband and I already decided to book a baby shower with them when the time comes!!

As a Covid reschedule I could not have been happier. Eddie their event coordinator, is the best there is. He responds within minutes. We will now visit Chesapeake City for a quick get-away. (1 hour and 15

I fell in love with this venue the moment I stepped into the ballroom. Eddie was extremely helpful. I'm so grateful for him. The staff were awesome. They brought us our plates and continuously checked to make sure we didnt need anything. We were treated like royalty. The lights in the ballroom matched our wedding colors perfectly. We got married at the moon property by the water. I strongly recommend getting the house right there overnight to make the transition smoother. Anyone who books this venue will not be disappointed. I couldnt have asked for a better venue. Thank you Eddie for everything.

My husband and I got married at Chesapeake Inn in August. I really don’t have the words for how wonderful the people here are or how beautiful our wedding was. Planning a wedding during COVID was less than ideal, but Eddie and crew made the whole process an incredible, easy experience.

Eddie was accessible, responded quickly, and anticipated our needs before we did! He was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend the Inn!

We also had several guests attend our wedding by boat. Clem, is easily the best dock master on the bay. He’s hard working, organized, and incredibly helpful - routinely visiting guests throughout the weekend to see if they needed anything.

Overall, the day went seamlessly, the staff was amazing, the food was delicious and talked about for weeks after. Many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they’d been to.

Eddie and Mike went above and beyond to accommodate us on our special day. They were both very flexible and responsive. We are so happy with how everything turned out. The food was also delicious! The balcony room off of the ballroom was beautiful.

I had a Beauty and the Beast themed wedding here and the Ballroom complimented it so well. Eddie did an amazing job making sure my wedding was executed flawlessly. He is very involved and responsive. He is always there to help and answer any questions or concerns that may arise. He is the best! My guests loved the venue and the food! Highly recommend Eddie & his team to anyone looking for quality service all around.

The Chesapeake Inn sure outdid themselves for our big day! The staff was extremely professional, the food was amazing, and the views around the ballroom are beautiful! Eddie, was present the whole entire time and made sure everything ran so smoothly. Our wedding day was full of laughter and positive energy. The guest were raving about the location and food. All around it was just beautiful! I would highly recommend the Veranda for the cocktail hour, our guest loved being outside enjoying the views and boats! I’m still getting told weeks later on how amazing the feel of the wedding was. I am so happy we chose the Chesapeake Inn as our venue for our special day. It was beautiful.

I am more then happy we chose the Chesapeake Inn. We had our ceremony and reception in the ballroom. It looked better then I ever imagined it could. Eddie was the best! He made my day! He is so nice. He answered my emails so quickly and was only a phone call away. He did everything I asked. He made my wedding experience so easy. I wasn't stressed about the venue at all because Eddie had everything taken care of. He never got upset with me or frustrated he was always so patient and in good spirits. I can not put into words how happy i am with the way everything went. His staff was also then best. The bartender and waiters and waitresses were so polite and served me and my fiance with whatever we needed. If I could do it all over again I wouldnt change a thing. Thank you Eddie and the Chesapeake Inn for making my day the best! Oh and the views and pictures on the water turned out so good. The ballroom is filled with windows and mirrors it just makes it so beautiful. There is a light that goes around the top of the room that you can make any color you want. Everything is just awesome.

The Chesapeake City area is a hidden gem. It's a quaint and magical place where we had our wedding, and it turned out so much more amazing than we expected. Eddie (whom we affectionately named our "Wedding Santa") did a seriously fantastic job helping us coordinate our big day and leading his awesome team to ensure that everything went smoothly for us and our guests. We had our ceremony on The Moon Property, which overlooked the water and the bridge. And we had our cocktail hour and reception at the veranda and ballroom. Our guests enjoyed the intimate and comfortable atmosphere, and we've never seen so many smiling faces :D Moreover, all the staff were so sweet and helpful all the way till 2AM when the party ended! A huge thank you to Eddie and the Chesapeake Inn staff!!! You guys are seriously awesome!!! :D

The banquet coordinator worked with my husband and I on food choices and packages that would be right for our wedding reception. I would recommend this location to anyone. It was important to my husband and I to have our reception here since we incorporated the beach/water into our whole wedding experience. They accommodated our arrival, which was by boat, and allowed us to dock at the first spot, which is highly coveted, with no questions. The food was delicious, the waitstaff was friendly and assisted in anyway they could. Overall a great experience!

We had a wonderful and Magic night. Eddie made sure things were perfect and the picture opportunities were amazing! The staff was so kind and packed up my dinner that I didn’t have a chance to eat.

If you're looking to have an intimate ceremony and or reception with an amazing view, exceptional food, and fantastic service then Chesapeake Inn Ballroom is the place for you! My husband and I just had our wedding ceremony and reception there and we could not be happier with how our special day went! Eddie, the banquet manager, is amazing! He was with us throughout the entire planning process, just an email or phone call away. He organized and coordinated our entire wedding and reception, not missing a single detail. The food was out of this world, our guests still talk about how wonderful everything was. The staff was professional and on top of everything. Eddie even went table to table to check on guests and of course made sure my husband I were well taken care of. We could not be happier with our experience.

Everyone says that planning a wedding is stressful. It is. However; working with Eddie and his staff for our September 7, 2018 wedding was AMAZING! Eddie responded to every email I sent within a few hours and answered any questions or concerns. We had a slight issue with an RSVP we didn't receive, and were able to add three to the guest list the day of our wedding without any issue. The venue was beautiful, even with the rain! We had an amazing day and night, and our guests loved the ballroom and had nothing but compliments on Eddie when they saw him around during the reception. As much as I state that the stress is too much and I will never do it again, I would gladly go through it all again as long as I can book the Chesapeake Inn Ballroom and Eddie as our contact. Eddie and his staff were friendly, attentive, and just went above anything we could have ever imagined! I will gladly recommend this venue to any friends and family that are getting married. Beyond amazing!

It was my dream wedding. Eddie was always responsive and helpful with the planning process. He also made sure that everything went smoothly on the day of my wedding! I choose a daytime wedding to make it affordable. The views were so gorgeous during the day out the large windows and balconies.

AMAZING! Everyone at the Inn did an awesome job achieving what we were looking for at our reception. There were no complaints about the food at all everyone loved it! Décor was spot on from what I had given them to go with. Also,they re-did the wall that had the mural, it's now a classy tiled wall instead (good job! that made us so happy LOL) I would recommend this vendor anytime! Also, their cake vendor Liberty Lane cakes is amazing. Best wedding cake we've ever ate :)

We had the most beautiful wedding on 10.21.17 at the Chesapeake Inn. We worked with Eddie Greer the year leading up to our big day & he was always easy to get in touch with and made the entire process run seamlessly! We fell in love with the Chesapeake Inn for its stunning ballroom and waterfront views, but we chose it as our wedding venue for the expertise and value that the entire staff provided. Food was excellent and guests are still raving about what an amazing time they had almost a year later. Put Chesapeake inn on your list of venues to go see. You won’t be disappointed!

We looked at about 6 other venues before visiting the Chesapeake Inn Ballroom, and once we met their event manager, Eddie, we knew we wanted to hold our wedding there. Eddie is straightforward, responsive, reliable, helpful, kind, and fun! Planning a wedding was a daunting undertaking for us, and I believe that he and the venue made the process much easier than it would have been elsewhere. The whole staff was extremely friendly from our visits during planning to the end of the wedding - tasting the food was delightful! Both Eddie and another manager named Craig oversaw the big day to make sure everything went smoothly. We received a large number of compliments on the food and the ballroom's lighting and decor. If you book there, I recommend attending the vendor expo that they hold. Overall, we were very happy with our decision to use the Chesapeake Ballroom!

My husband and I were just married at the Chesapeake Inn Ballroom and we can't say enough good things about it! Days later and we are still glowing and gushing over the entire experience. Eddie (Greer) and his staff are top-notch and made the entire evening magical. The planning process over the past year has been a dream because of Eddie's consistent communication with us (we never seemed to bother him, no matter how many emails or changes we made!).

We had the ceremony in the Ballroom, then the cocktail hour on the Veranda and Terrace while the staff flipped the ballroom for the reception. The entire event went so smoothly that we were able to take a few minutes for ourselves while the team changed things around us and we didn't even notice. They set up all of the decorations we provided beautifully with minimal direction from us a few nights before the event.

The food was amazing. From the hors d'oeuvres through to the dessert tables, there wasn't a dish or item that wasn't a hit. Everyone raved about the food - and are still raving about it! The team was great about making sure that we (the bride and groom) had food at our table, as well. They brought in hors d'oeuvres to us while we were in between the ceremony and reception, they made sure our dinner plates were covered with warmers when we didn't make it back to our sweetheart table as dinner was brought out, and they made sure to swing through the dessert room for us and plated up several desserts so that we didn't miss out on those while we were socializing.

There is just not enough good that I can say about the entire experience! The staff at Chesapeake Inn Ballroom made our wedding seamless, easy, and magical!

We used Chesapeake Inn to cater our wedding at Thousand Acre Farm on 10/20/17 and it was amazing. The guests all raved about the food and the staff. We started off working with Shannon and then she left so we started working with Nick, who was incredible. We had a lot of last minute changes and Nick was very accommodating and responded to emails very quickly. The night of the wedding he checked in a couple times and everything went perfectly. The wait staff and bartenders were awesome! Everyone said the bartenders remembered what they were drinking and they were very fast at making drinks so there was never a line at the bar. Highly recommend Chesapeake Inn!! And i also love that the cake is included in the price of the catering

I could not express how grateful I am for the staff at the cheaspeake inn, my wedding was perfect and I could not have done it without them. They were waiting on us and continuously checked on us to make sure we were okay. Our guests felt very welcomed and was provided great service. I would recommend this venue big time!

I couldn't be happier with how they handled my ceremony and reception. All of our guest keep gushing over how we found an unbelievably beautiful location and how the wedding was so magical. The food is outstanding and so well priced considering you get seafood options on the basic menu. Eddie is awesome to work with and is there to help you. I HIGHLY recommend this venue.

We used the Chesapeake Inn for our off site wedding and had Shannon as our wedding coordinator and it was absolutely perfect! Shannon was so attentive and made me feel so much ease as a bride! The food was amazing and all our guests were so impressed by how nice and efficient their staff was! Nick, who worked with Shannon, was also amazing! I can not say enough about them both and how much they went above and beyond for me! They fixed glitches, served with excellence, and truly made this experience so special for me and my husband! They are amazing! I HIGHLY recommend them! And the mushroom ravioli!

Our day could not have been more perfect! Everything went smoothly. Eddie was awesome! He kept everything rolling and we never once doubted his suggestions. We were amazed at how everything turned out and how the Chesapeake Inn exceeded our expectations, for sure!

We held our wedding in the Anna room. It was the perfect size for our small wedding. The food was awesome. The waiters and waitresses were great. The bakery they recommended to us for our wedding cake did an incredible job. I highly recommend this restaurant for a wedding.

Chesapeake Inn catered our wedding at Thousand Acre Farms, also we were blessed have Shannon as our day of Coordinator.
Chesapeake in was our last caterer that we went to for our taste testings, they were a little more expensive the everyone else we tried but, when we tried the food, we were blown away by everything we had and it made our decision very easy. Everyone at our wedding said the food was amazing also. Everyone raved about the Italian wedding soup, along with the rest of the food. Chesapeake also provided us with Bartenders to man our bars and they were very outgoing and remembered everyones names as the night went on. The staff that provided was very white glove and very professional. I would use them again over and over again.
As for Shannon being our Day of Coordinator, It was an add on service for more money but it was worth every penny and more. If at any time I had a question or an issue that rose, Shannon had an answer immediately for me. Shannon also made sure me and my fiancés drinks were always full and checked in with us through out the night to make sure everything was going smoothly. She decorated for us and also helped us take everything down.
Both services were out of this world and I highly recommend them.

We had our small 54 person wedding at the beginning of February. We were beyond pleased with the entire experience. Shannon Connolly was our planner. She was professional, attentive, organized and a blessing to us throughout the entire process. Anyone planning any size wedding should contact Shannon! We had a $4000 ceremony/ reception budget and she made it work beautifully. We are very happy and so were all of our guests! The food, the ambiance and the service is outstanding!

We had The Chesapeake Inn Cater our wedding at an off site location. Look no further then here. They were EXTREMELY professional, dependable, attentive and my guests are STILL talking about how amazing the food at our wedding was. We opted for family style which our guests really loved. Eddie went above and beyond to make sure every single detail was perfect and our night played out exactly as we had imagined. My husband and I were treated like celebrities by the staff and every single person from the chesapeake was amazing. The bartenders, the chefs, the waiters, the coordinators all worked together wonderfully and my event went off with out a hitch! Call Eddie and he will handle your wedding as if it was his family members. He makes you feel so special and he is super flexible. Paint your picture and he will make it happen. I felt like nothing was off limits!

We had our wedding reception at the Chesapeake Inn a few weeks ago. It was wonderful! Eddie, the Banquet Manager, was so helpful from the very beginning. He was very responsive to emails and calls. On our wedding day, he was at the reception making sure everything ran smoothly. I received compliments from the bridal party on how attentive he was. We knew we were in good hands with Eddie. He is very professional and makes you feel like he has everything under control (and he does!). The dinner was delicious! We heard many good things about the food from our guests. We were pleased that all of our guests got plenty to eat and drink! It really was a fabulous evening. We couldn't have asked for a better venue!

My wedding at the inn was everything I ever could have imagined. I had my eye on the ballroom for a long time, it's just so beautiful. We had many delicious meals at the inn and they didn't disappoint on my wedding day. Eddie was great to work with, I'm sure it can't be easy dealing with so many brides. As parents of the bride, it was important for us to give our daughter the wedding of her dreams. This venue exceeded all of our expectations in that regard. Eddie Greer was diligent in assisting us and our daughter by working closely with the three of us on every last detail. The staff was diligent in keeping our guests happy and all of the candles lit. The dinners were presented swiftly and beautifully. The food was amazing. There was never a long line at the bar. Eddie was understanding and cooperative when some of the pre ceremony details went awry, but assisted in keeping things running smoothly, regardless of some challenges and setbacks encountered, not associated with the staff. As far as the ceremony and reception, we were overjoyed that we were able to give our daughter the wedding of her dreams.

The Chesapeake Inn was absolutely amazing during our wedding. From the very beginning they were professional and engaged in the planning and organization, and quick to respond with any questions or concerns we had. Eddie Greer was easy and enjoyable to work with and he conveys confidence, passion, and professionalism in his work. The venue itself was beautiful and perfect in every way. The staff was diligent and friendly, and the food was fantastic. All aspects of the this venue deserve a 5 star rating. Thank you to Eddie Greer and the entire staff of the Chesapeake Inn for making our wedding night memorable for us and our families.

The Chesapeake Inn is the complete package for a wonderful wedding - from the beautiful Pell Gardens nearby for the ceremony, the elegant ballroom with its own entrance, the professional wait staff to the fabulous food. Our daughter chose the inn for the star studded beautiful ballroom. My husband and I chose it for the location and great food we enjoy in their restaurant; but we got way more than that. The chef for the ballroom and his staff were superb. The head waitress, Cathy, and her staff went above and beyond being helpful and professional; and Eddie did a great job taking care of everything and making sure we had all we needed throughout the night!

Would highly recommend Chesapeake Inn Ballroom. Eddie and his team are awesome and keep everything running smoothly. I did not have to worry about a thing during my reception which was amazing!!

We enjoyed working with Eddie at the Chesapeake Inn. He did a great job keeping us on our budget and working with us to accommodate our guests' needs. The food was fantastic, the venue is gorgeous. The amount on our bill was-to the penny-the exact amount of the estimate Eddie quoted for us. Many of our guests enjoyed the location and meal at our wedding so much that they made another trip to The Chesapeake Inn for another meal! The location is lovely, food terrific, and I'd recommend the Chesapeake Inn to any couple.

When picking the place to have our wedding reception we didn't look any other place. The Chesapeake Inn has everything you will need or want. Eddie goes above and beyond to make everything perfect and easy during the planning process. The food was amazing and we are still getting complements about everything people tried. Having the reception at the Chesapeake Inn I was a very calm bride the day of the wedding because I knew Eddie and his staff had everything under control. Everything was perfect.

Having a wedding at the Chesapeake Inn is the best decision a bride and groom can make. The food is unbelievable, the service is exceptional, the value is phenomenal, and the atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous. The banquet manager Eddie is so fantastic at his job it is obviously his calling in life. Having Eddie coordinate your wedding is almost like having a wedding planner for free – he is that amazing.

Eddie will respond to your emails usually within minutes to hours. As a busy bride this is the biggest blessing you could imagine! He literally takes the stress out of coordinating the wedding.

The only hiccup we had during the wedding was that we paid for 2 beers to be on tap however only 1 beer was on tap. Apparently there were cans of the second beer available but it was frustrating to pay so much extra money and not get exactly what we paid for. Other than that, the entire reception went as smoothly as possible.

We had 135 guests and some had special diet requirements. The staff did a perfect job at delivering the meals to the correct people. The staff was polite, friendly, and professional.
We had a significant number of guests tell us it was by far the best wedding they have ever been to. If you choose Chesapeake Inn as your wedding venue you will be beyond pleased with every facet of the experience. We would highly recommend this venue for a wedding, a party, or just a lovely dinner on the water. What a magnificent venue!

Our Wedding was so amazing and went without a hitch. From the day we booked the venue Eddie was on top of everything. He is extremely prompt with emails and responding (as it was easier for me to email than call all the time). We live over an hour away and I felt very confident with everything!!! A few days before the wedding when we met with Eddie to finalize the details, he had check lists for me, and had specific steps he took to ensure nothing would be missed. The food was AMAZING!! We had so many compliments on the food, the professionalism and atmosphere. We had a day Wedding and myself, my husband, our families, and closest friends all stayed after and went to the tiki bar for the night - the whole staff knew who I was and made sure we were taken care of while there. If I had to plan it all again, I would not hesitate to have my wedding here! I checked hundreds of venue pricing and nothing compares. Thank you Eddie and staff for making our wedding a day we will never forget!!!

I loved everything about the Chesapeake Inn. Eddie was a pleasure to work with. The food was not your typical wedding food, and we still get compliments on it. The views from the ballroom are gorgeous. Everyone loved being able to go out on the veranda and get some fresh air. We even received compliments on the bathroom! :-)

We did not have our ceremony here, just the reception- but I do not see an option for reception only.

Our event planner, Eddie, was fantastic! He was helpful, kind, and not at all pushy. After meeting with many planners in many locations, we felt like we hit the jackpot with Eddie!

Our reception was absolutely beautiful! The ballroom is gorgeous, the food was amazing, all of the guests told us how mush they loved our wedding, and the backdrop of the water was so beautiful.

Eddie and his team were FABULOUS to work with!! We loved the venue the moment we walked in, as my Mom is from the area. All of our guests were impressed with the view and how delicious all the food was. We went with the "station" option, and it was great to get the party started right away, and allow us to save by only having a 4 hour reception. The staff was professional, and flexible to meet all of my needs. They did a great job setting up the decorations we left behind because of a tight turnaround. Wish I could relive the night all over again!!!!

We had our ceremony at Pell Gardens and our reception at the Chesapeake Inn this July. It was absolutely beautiful and everything that we imagined. Eddie (the manager) was very easy to work with and did everything that we requested. We got so many compliments with our dinner choices also. There is not one negative thing I could say about this venue.

I got married on March 31. I can't say enough about Chesapeake Inn. Let me first start with Eddie the coordinator.

Eddie, with his years of experience, made my day more special than I could have imagined. I added a Korean ceremony during the reception and I was worried about time. However I followed Eddie suggestions with the timeline for the evening and everything went off without a hitch. I was even able to do the Sparklers off the balcony.

The staff at Chesapeake Inn were fantastic! Everything was seamless.

I have some advice for future brides that are planning a wedding in the area.

1. Pick Chesapeake Inn if it holds all your guest.
2. Let Eddie help you plan your day. You really can relax. It's almost like having a personal planner.
3. Pick the vendors off their list. You can't go wrong. I picked DJ Doug, Kiki Rose, Reverend Loriane, Liz Marden.

All my guest said that it was the most organized, best food, and beautiful wedding they had ever been to. They would also recommend the place the other people.

I picked filet and crabcake and it was fantastic!

Eddie and the Team at the Chesapeake Inn were such a big part in making our day into a fabulous event! Eddie was easy to work with and was extremely responsive to some of the changes/additions we wanted, especially as the day grew nearer. Everything ran smoothly the night of the wedding, even though they had had an event earlier that day. I can't tell you what I loved most....the water view or knowing that our event was the only big event going on that night (Chesapeake Inn only has one ballroom). It just made our event feel so much more intimate. The food was so delicious and we had so many of our guests rave about it, especially the amazing hors d'eouvres. Looking back, we are so happy that we had our day at this venue!

I don't even know where to begin in describing my wonderful experience of having my reception at Chesapeake Inn. Eddie Greer was my point-person from the very beginning through the end of my actual reception. He was always responsive to e-mails and phone calls and was helpful in giving suggestions on other vendors and tips to make the day go well.

On the day of the wedding, the ballroom was set up exactly how I wanted, and it looked absolutely beautiful. The Chesapeake Inn staff were helpful, friendly, and on top of things. For example, Melissa, who is one of the other staff who coordinates receptions, took the time to fix my bustle before we were announced because it just didn't look quite right. Another example of how the staff went above and beyond is described next. I had arranged for a photobooth to be set up at the reception, but the photobooth staff dropped off the photobooth and then quit on the spot. They left minimal supplies and no attendant. Without me even knowing anything about it, Eddie had already been on the phone trying to contact the manager of the company and was working to find supplies. He reassured me that everything would work out fine and reminded me to enjoy the day and worry about dealing with the photobooth vendor later. He was completely true to his word, and he actually had one of his staff run the photobooth all night! What could have been a bad situation ended up being fine and went unnoticed by guests.

In terms of the food, it was incredible. We went to the tasting and thought everything was delicious there, but we weren't sure how it would be on the actual day of the wedding. Seven months after my wedding, I am still having guests tell me how delicious the meal was and how it was not like "regular wedding food." We had the Chicken Chesapeake and the filet, and it was amazing.

Aside from the staff and the food, some of my other favorite things about having my wedding reception at Chesapeake Inn include the view from the ballroom, the twinkling ceiling, the deck overlooking the water, and the convenient valet parking for the guests. If I could do it all over again, I would choose Chesapeake Inn in a heartbeat.

Absolutely beautiful location to host your wedding reception! The food presentation is superb and the taste is excellent! The staff is very easy to work with! All of the wedding guests said how it was the best reception they had ever been to! Awesome!

I would definitely recommend the Chesapeake Inn for a wedding or any other affair. They make everything so easy, the ballroom is gorgeous, the food is outstanding, the location is beautiful and the price is oh so right! Ask for Eddie!

Chesapeak Inn, Eddie and all the staff were awesome. It made the night less stressful with how professional they were and how they took care of everything the entire night. I would recommend having any occasion at Chesapeak Inn.

Overall my experience with Chesapeake Inn was absolutely fantastic. In planning the wedding, I dealt directly with Eddie Greer. I had about a million questions but he patiently responded to each and every one of them. During the wedding itself, he and his staff proved to be very experienced in dealing with weddings and had all possible scenarios covered. Everything went off without a hitch.

The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. The ceiling is what drew me to the venue initially, and it didn't fail to disappoint! The huge windows looking out over the water really set the mood and the natural light was beautiful. We made use of the veranda for the ceremony, which was gorgeous as well. (My only issue with the veranda is that it is a tight space, even for a relatively smallish wedding like we had, but it worked out just fine.)

The food was great as well - definitely higher quality and better selection than we have come to expect attending other weddings!

One of the things that I absolutely loved about working with this venue was how they worked with us on price. Eddie was very up-front about exactly what it would cost before we signed anything with them, and it was a breath of fresh air compared to the several other venues we had dealt with that had several hidden costs and fees. He also helped us to figure out what things we could cut out of their packages or how we could customize things in order to find a combination of services and prices that worked best for us, and we ended up with something that we absolutely loved.

If I have any complaint, it is that the contract is vaguely worded, and when I asked about adding things to the contract that we had verbally discussed, I was met with some hesitance that made me feel uncomfortable. In the end, Eddie did add what I requested to a different document, which made me feel much more comfortable about proceeding, and the venue followed through with everything they agreed to do - even went above and beyond!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Chesapeake Inn. Eddie, the manager, was not only easy to work with, but such a professional. He guided us through every detail of the ceremony/reception and this really takes a burden off your shoulders, especially as it got closer to our special day. The entire staff was wonderful. We got so many compliments on how kind and courteous the staff was. The food was delicious! We still have friends/family telling us how much they loved the food. I was worried since our wedding was in March that the weather might not be so good. It turned out to be such a beautiful day! The view from the Ballroom was magnificent. Everyone told us what a beautiful wedding and wonderful time they had and I believe having our special day at the Chesapeake Inn made all the difference in the world. If I had to recommend a venue or do this over again, I would definitely choose The Chesapeake Inn!

My centerpieces set up wasn't 100% to the pictures i sent and my daughter got the wrong food even though i double checked and got a confirmation of her order but when they came out she was enjoying them...but i loved every thing alway...the food was great service was excellent and my guests loved it...i would recommend this venue anytime

Eddie (Event Manager) did a wonderful job making sure everything went well on our wedding day. He organized all of our vendors to allow us to have our ceremony outside despite an impending thunderstorm, allowing us to change the time of our reception to accomodate an earlier start. We also received great feedback from our guests; everyone loved the food and the ballroom.

We had our wedding reception at Chesapeake Inn and it was the perfect fit for us. The ballroom is beautiful. The staff was great and helped us in every way possible. The food was delicious as well. The only complaint I had is that the wedding party did not get to experience the stand up food stations but everything else was wonderful. We only had 140 people at our wedding and the room was the perfect size for us. There are also so many photo opportunities on the water as well which we were able to take advantage of. Eddie was great to work with. He is so organized with everything and very fast with getting back to you on any questions you have. I felt comfortable that everything would be perfect and it was!

We were so lucky to have the Chesapeake Inn available for the day we wanted to get married. The whole team at the Inn were such a pleasure to work with and made my day so special and the location totally impressed our guest from the amazing food (beyond better than any other wedding ive attended) to the super beautiful ballroom. If Chesapeake Inn is available for your wedding day jump on it. SO WORTH IT!!

This was a great place to host our reception. The backdrop of water and small town feel was what I was looking for. Thank you to Mr. Greer and his staff for making a truly great event!

Shannon and Eddie do whatever they can to make your day special. Shannon answered every single question I had! I highly recommend asking for a seating chart based upon your guest list, or at least a table layout (especially if you plan on having escort cards or assigned seating). Our guests are still raving about the food!!!

The food was superior when compared to typical wedding food. Our choices were euro chicken and crab cakes. We also had the gelato station which was awesome!

The only aspect I wasn't thrilled about was the cleaning up that starts about 30 or more minutes at the end of the reception. Several people had their favors/other table items removed without realizing.

I had an afternoon wedding at the Chesapeake Inn Ballroom. Eddie Greer was wonderful through the whole planning process and responded to every email quickly! Overall everything was good.

I had my wedding reception at the Chesapeake Inn and it was amazing! The Chesapeake Inn has amazing views of the C&D Canal and is located in the most amazing quaint town of Chesapeake City, MD. The ballroom at the Chesapeake Inn is beautiful with a twinkling lighted ceiling, panoramic windows with views of the canal, and a wrap-around balcony for smokers and those who want to enjoy the views outside. The chairs, china and linens included with the ballroom are all top-quality and very nice. I couldn't have asked for a better value for the location.

I worked with Melissa throughout the planning process up until 2 weeks before the wedding. Melissa was very responsive, listened to my needs and was able to work within my budget and preferences. She created an amazing menu and worked her schedule to meet with me whenever I requested. Two weeks before the wedding, Melissa transitioned everything to the Eddie, the Banquet Manager. Eddie was clearly the one in charge and very confident with his experience and expertise. Unfortunately, he came across inflexible and brash. After my first visit with Eddie two weeks before the wedding, I left wondering if I made a mistake on having the reception at this location. Eddie spent most of our first meeting either taking cell phone calls or telling us that the knew what he was doing and he would just decide how to set things up based on what he thought would work best. He didn't seem to listen to any of our special requests (such as having several high top tables near the bar for mingling) and left me feeling unsure of what to expect. I was disappointed to see he did not include the high top tables at our reception although the room appeared to have plenty of free space. I'm sure he is the expert and does know how to set up a reception best, but he didn't leave me feeling like I was a part of the planning process and he didn't seem to try to include my suggestions or preferences in any way. I was also upset to see that he decided to set up the food in two different areas completely across the room from one another. Several guests commented to me after the reception that they didn't even know there was another table of food (different types of food). The layout didn't make sense to me and I would have like to understood it before the day of the wedding.

Although I was disappointed by the room layout, I was very pleased with the quality of food. Everything was delicious and excellently maintained. The bartender was amazing & very friendly. The wait staff was on top of everything. The place was immaculate at all times and I never had to look far to find someone if I wanted something.

All in all, the Chesapeake Inn is an amazing venue that I would highly recommend.

Sometimes it took a while to get a hold of someone to help us but the bottom line is that I had a really great wedding reception and there really isn't anything I would change about it. It was everything I wanted.

I have mixed feelings about my experience with the Chesapeake Inn. First, I met Eddie back in June 2014 to discuss my wedding plans. He went over everything and I was thrilled, the venue was perfect! We put together a custom plan and I told him I wanted to sign the contract and I would bring him a check as soon as I could get back to MD, within a few days. He said he would put a hold on my date for a week and if anyone came in asking for that day, he'd call me first to give me a chance to make the deposit over the phone. I explained to him how important it was that we had that exact date because with both our families schedules and events going on this summer, it was literally the ONLY weekend that would work for both of our families. I called about 3-4 days later and asked to pay with a card over the phone and was told our date was already taken. I was never contacted in those 3-4 days since our meeting. I really wanted to have our wedding at the Chesapeake Inn so I agreed to another weekend but it was a HUGE inconvenience to my family as they have to travel across the country a few days later for another family members wedding. Eddie did not offer an explanation or apology for this inconvenience. Since then, he's answered my calls or emails within a week and I can't really complain about anything else. I hope it's all smooth sailing from here on, our wedding is in 3 months.

I chose this venue because of the wonderful reviews however I had less than an amazing time working with eddie. I had to stay on top of him with responding to emails. There were numerous times he had the wrong information and I had to correct him. More often then not he was less then friendly. Our ceremony was at moon. Gardens and when we went to run through the grass was being watered. Apparently they were not informed that we were coming. There were many other things but this review would be three pages long. The food was good we had crab cakes and filet and the ambiance was beautiful. I will say the day of eddie did a better job. I just wish he had been that Eddie the whole time

We had them cater our wedding. We should have left our deposit and went somewhere else. After we have our deposit, we scheduled a taste testing...they rescheduled last minute twice after I missed family plans to meet their times. Then, during the tasting, we had questions and the woman who we met with left and never answered them no one came to check on us. We sat for 2 hours and saw ourselves out, confused. Should have rethought then. We emailed back and forth but taking weeks to get a response. Twice they lost our info and tried to have us pay a deposit. Lost our payment too. I left 3 messages with the restaurant, hand wrote a letter and emailed several times about our concerns. NO ONE got back to us. Trying to schedule a time to meet with the wedding planner was complicated too. During the wedding we opted for an extra horderves and asked for some to be brought to the bridal party....70% of guests didn't get any, they were not butlered around rather laid down on barrels, and they served regular bruschetta instead of fruit bruschetta, and the wedding party didn't receive any as requested. I still haven't received any response from my letters, calls, emails or voicemails I have left. Don't expect to receive any apologizing or offering a little refund based on history.
