  Cheryl made alterations to my wedding dress back in October 2022 and she was absolutely incredible to work with. She was friendly, warm, and detail oriented and I could tell she takes so much pride in her beautiful work. Thank you Cheryl!

  Amazing experience working with Cheryl!

  I truly could not be happier that I was lucky enough to work with Cheryl in the lead-up to my wedding! I bought my wedding dress and immediately felt panicked because I had a) never bought a wedding dress before, b) had never brought anything to a seamstress before, and c) had no idea what I was doing. Cheryl not only calmed my nerves but made me giggle from day one of communicating with her! It was so easy to feel comfortable with her and trust her expertise, especially because her vision for the dress aligned with my vision right away. Even when I was unsure of what to do, she was able to give helpful professional advice while also fully respecting my choices for my dress. It was so nice to work with someone so talented who immediately felt like a friend, and her work truly is incredible. Thank you again Cheryl for such a wonderful experience ❤️

  04/22/23 - elaborate tailoring and beautiful results

  I came to Cheryl with a lot of asks. I had a lace overlay dress with applique and wanted to have a train loop AND a bustle that I could do an elaborate dance with. She managed to make it all happen and even let me dance around her shop to ensure I could dance well enough. She made my dress so perfect and was so lovely to work with!

  amazing seamstress

  A big THANK YOU to Cheryl for turning my wedding dress nightmare into something BEAUTIFUL! There was a miscommunication when I had my dress custom sized with the boutique and when I got my wedding dress they made the dress too short for me (aka a bride's worst nightmare). I was losing sleep and stressed out about this because I wasn't sure if this was "fixable" and I couldn't order a new dress in time.... I found Cheryl through FB and I am sooo glad I did! She was able to add more length to my dress by adding more lace to the bottom and flowed it SEAMLESSLY into the dress! I couldn't even tell that it was short to begin with. Aside from basically saving my wedding day, she was also a great person to work with! She is very friendly and is fun to talk to!! She will make the whole process easy for the bride! I recommend Cheryl 100%!!

  Cheryl is the most incredible human and saved my wedding day. She is the sweetest, most kind soul. She has a calming presence that made my meetings with her feel like wedding planning therapy. She always made me feel comfortable and beautiful. My wedding dress was purchased months before my wedding but the bridal salon made an error and ordered wrong size. I was distraught and had no idea what to do as I didn’t have time to purchase a new size dress. Cheryl helped me purchase additional fabric from the designer and she took apart reconstructed the ENTIRE dress. She changed out the entire front panel, re-worked the back of the dress to change the style of it and added a belt. I was and still am so obsessed with my dress. It fit like a glove and I’ve never felt more beautiful. None of this would have happened without Cheryl. I owe her more than I can express.   Working with Cheryl for my May wedding was fantastic and I highly recommend her!
  
  I reached out to Cheryl after receiving her name from a family friend recommendation for a ballpark quote with a picture of my dress, and was pleased with her fair quote after receiving a few others that were several hundred dollars more. She was prideful in her fair prices and her many years of experience.
  
  After putting down a deposit, I had my 3 fitting appointments (initial fitting, second fitting and final fitting). At each appointment, Cheryl was helpful and prompt in listening to my needs and concerns, and had some stellar suggestions including a beautiful bustle that was not shown to me as an option when purchasing my dress.

  I have been going to a Cheryl for all of my alternation needs for over a decade, from my prom dresses, pageant gowns and my wedding dress. She is insanely talented, professional and exceeds all expectations every single time. She’s the best in the Seacoast and the only one I trust for all my alteration needs.

  Cheryl was the best thing that ever happened to me while planning my wedding! I bought my dress at Boutique Leslie Bridal in Dover, NH and she was recommended through them as a seamstress. She took my dress and COMPLETELY transformed it into my dream dress! She added all lace and skin colored fabric on the top half of the back (I wasn't comfortable with the openess), added sleeves, let things in and out where needed, hemmed the bottom because I'm on the shorter side. She blew me away and made me feel beautiful. I highly recommend her to any bride and I will be returning to her to alter some bridesmaids dresses!

  Cheryl took on both my mother and I in the midst of a busy wedding season. My dress had to be taken in twice and Cheryl was so gracious in her demeanor. Her work speaks for itself. My dress was flawless and fit even better than it did the day I tried it on and decided it was the one. It was an elegant but simple dress that, with Cheryl's help, made it absolutely timeless. Highly recommend!

  Completely and flawlessly altered my LARGE wedding dress!

  Cheryl is absolutely incredible. When I first brought my wedding dress to her, I'd lost 3 inches in my waist since I ordered it. Needless to say it was HUGE and Cheryl had her work cut out for her. I went back for another fitting and lost another 2 inches. With a smile on her face the entire time, she congratulated me on achieving my weight loss goals and made adjustments. Never could I have worked with a better seamstress for the most important dress of my life. It fit like a glove flawlessly and I couldn't be more grateful! THANK YOU, CHERYL!!

  Cheryl was so, so great! I decided to go to her for my wedding dress alterations at the recommendation of a friend, and I’m so glad I did. Cheryl knows exactly what she’s doing, and did such a beautiful job on my dress. She not only made the changes I wanted, but was able to point out other things that I hadn’t even thought of. She even switched out the hair clip on my veil free of charge when I brought it in at a fitting because she knew the one it came with would fall out. Everything was reasonably priced. On top of all that, Cheryl was incredibly nice and great to work with. She is kind and friendly, and was able to work with me on dates for appointments. I wish I could give her 6 stars.   Thank you Cheryl for turning my dress from being okay to absolutely stunning! Cheryl is very easy to work with and does an amazing job! I came to her needing her basically to re style the front of my dress and she accomplished it with ease! Highly recommend

  Cheryl was a dream to work with! I bought a sample dress and had some concerns about tailoring it to my body and some mild wear and tear. My last fitting was yesterday and the dress looked like it was made just for me. Cheryl caught little flaws, like loose beading, and fixed them without my noting it. She was also very accommodating when my mother joined me. What's more is she gave honest, informed recommendations for preservation and cleaning. I couldn't have asked for a better seamstress!

  My husband Andy and I got married on 11/4/17 and I used Cheryl Jackson as my seamstress for my wedding gown. I originally had a different seamstress who fell ill and Cheryl was able to take me in last minute. Thank goodness she was because her tailoring skills were amazing! I had multiple fittings with her to ensure the dress fit just right and at the end, it fit like a glove! There is nothing I would have changed about it and I am usually pretty particular. She was so friendly and accommodating and didn’t charge and arm and leg for her services either! I would highly recommend Cheryl to any bride, bridesmaid, or anyone in need of a seamstress!   Best seamstress in our NH seacoast. Cheryl took my daughters dress that fit horribly and made it perfect. She also fixed my MOB dress until it was equally perfect. She is a perfectionist and will not let a small detail get by. Absolutely loved working with her and highly recommend her!
