Best decision ever!

When my daughter got engaged, we were feeling overwhelmed with the prospect of wedding planning. We found Lisa & Cherish the Day online, read all the great reviews and contacted her. She was prompt in returning our inquiry and very friendly and professional in an online consultation and we decided on her quickly as our wedding planner/coordinator. A wonderful decision! Lisa is very attentive to detail, knowledgeable about the wedding industry & vendors in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area, and had even worked weddings at our venue (Hotel Millwright in Amana) so knew the property and staff there (which was extremely helpful). She met with the bride & groom in person & online and was very attentive to emails/texts from them and me. She helped keep my daughter accountable for each step in the planning process so they didn't get behind in planning and kept in touch with our vendors and on top of our contract details. She brings many ideas to the table from weddings she's been part of in the past but also mainly wants to help execute the day to include your dreams and desires. One of the best things was the TIMELINE she put together to give to the wedding party to keep everyone on the same page and things running smoothly for makeup, hair, pictures, etc, on the wedding day. Lisa did a super job running the rehearsal and on the wedding day, she and her husband, Scott, were incredible - keeping things on time and they were ready to help with whatever issues came up with a smile. Lisa is able to take charge gracefully so you can relax and enjoy the day. She also brought an awesome bag of emergency items that was very helpful. We received many comments from the wedding party, family and guests about how smooth and non-stressful the wedding felt which was due to Lisa & Cherish the Day! My son has been in multiple weddings lately and said none were as well planned & executed as this one. I consider Lisa & Scott friends and would HIGHLY recommend Cherish the Day to anyone - they helped create a storybook wedding for my daughter and son-in-law!

My new husband and I would highly recommend Cherish the Day for your wedding coordinating needs. We used Lisa for Day of Services and it really helped ease our minds going into the big day as she took over communication with vendors and met to organize the timeline for the day of. She listened to what we wanted to put it into action. Can't say enough good things about this service, laid back, easy to work with and professional with us and all vendors!

Cherish The Day is Incredible

There is not enough space to write about all the great things that Lisa at Cherish The Day did for us. I lived two states away and needed someone I could trust to work with that was local to the wedding site. From day one, Lisa put us at ease, was very informative, professional and caring. She has a lot of experience working with the vendors and interfaced with them all. She even helped us chase down vendors who weren’t responding to our calls/emails. Lisa was quick to respond to our questions throughout our planning. She interfaced with church staff during the rehearsal and wedding. She had her partner overseeing set up at the reception venue. They even set up the dessert table for us! Lisa was quick to assess further needs at the reception when she arrived. There was no background at the Photo Booth area so she suggested we move the arch/greenery/signage behind the head table after dinner to provide a photo back drop. It was perfect! Lisa is reasonably priced but is worth much more. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Cherish the Day saved the day!

We could not have done it without Lisa! We connected to late in the process for their coordinating services. We were absolutely blown away by how thorough her coordinating skills were, especially with the vendors. A lot of things happened last minute, our point of contact at the venue was replaced a week before the wedding and the musicians we had hired were no longer willing to play. Lisa diligently navigated everyone through with absolutely ideal results. I struggle to relax in situations like this and Lisa made me feel so taken care of! Our wedding could not have gone more smoothly, and we have Lisa to thank for that!

We could not recommend Cherish the Day enough!! I’ve been raving to anyone who asks—and even those who don’t—about working with Lisa. I initially started looking for “Day Of” coordinators when Lisa presented her “Month Of” package. It was the perfect amount of help for someone who was willing to do all of the legwork of finding and selecting vendors and just wanted assistance with the communication and execution once it was closer to the wedding date. We met with Lisa over a year before the wedding just so we could talk about our vision for our wedding and to see what areas we might need help in. She gave vendor recommendations when needed and made sure I had checklists to stay on track with booking everything. With her experience, she asked us questions about things we didn’t even realize we need to consider and gave suggestions if we were struggling. The best part was that she handled all of the vendor communication in the month leading up to the wedding, and she built the most detailed timeline for us (bridal party and vendors) to follow. My goal was to have someone that any and all questions could be directed to so that I didn’t have to add any stress—Lisa was that person and so, so much more. Both Lisa and her assistant (there on the day of) are amazing to work with—so personal and professional at the same time and there every step of the day. My overall experience with Cherish the Day was amazing, and their name stood true to that as I was truly able to Cherish the Day due to Lisa and her Husband. Lisa was in our corner from booking through the day of. She kept in contact with us every few months to ensure the planning process was moving along and often asked if we needed assistance. Leading up to our wedding day, Lisa coordinated with all vendors, ensured they were aligned on arrival times and contract fulfillment. Lisa even created a day of timeline that helped our vendors, family and friends know what to expect for rehearsal and wedding day. On the day of our wedding, Lisa keep everyone calm and in order throughout the day. She was a huge part in ensuring we stayed on schedule for the photographer, the ceremony, and reception. She brought kindness and a relaxing environment to not only the bride and groom but also the bridal party, who often complimented her services. Lisa and her Husband were also key in making sure the bride and groom took private moments for themselves, were properly feed and hydrated, and remained calm & relaxed. I would highly recommend Cherish the Day services to anyone getting married, and looking for a day of coordinator. We debated getting a planner and coordinator but went with just the coordinator and it was perfect for our budget and needs. Their services are extremely affordable and worthy of all the praise.

We had been extensively involved with much of the planning but on the wedding day I wanted to be on auto-pilot and just enjoy the day as my son married the girl of his dreams. I truly did "cherish the day" and am so glad that we were able to have Lisa and her assistant/husband help us with this. Phenomenal Wedding Planner

We hired Lisa for day-of coordinating. She went above and beyond for us! Throughout the year she checked in with us and sent us checklists for what we should have done and what we should be doing during that time frame. She really helped keep us on track. She also had helpful information when hiring other vendors and had great recommendations, which we ended up using some. The day of our wedding was a dream! She had everything under control with the venue and ALL of the vendors. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing the entire day. A true wedding fairy god mother.

Absolutely excellent!!!

After my daughter got engaged, I started a binder to organize all the contracts and details. Not too long after, we hired Lisa to coordinate the day-of, and I realized quickly that I no longer had to manage that binder. Lisa was always on top of everything and organized the details, including all those I would have never thought of myself. She was always professional, sweet and patient, and she made the process fun. I actually slept the night before the wedding knowing the details of the big day were in her hands. Thanks to Lisa, my daughter’s wedding was everything imagined and more, and I was able to cherish every moment!

We are so thankful for all that Lisa and Scott did to make our day so special. From day one, Lisa was all over each and every detail surrounding our wedding. She noticed important items in contracts that we had missed and brought them to our attention. She was in constant contact with our vendors and on the day of the wedding she made sure everything moved along effortlessly with precision. We did not have to worry about a thing and we were free to enjoy the day due her efforts. In fact, after the wedding we learned of some situations that she handled, which we had no idea occurred! For example, we learned that our cake started to sink into itself and Lisa got it fixed so it was perfect for the cutting - we had no idea! Cherish the Day exceeded our expectations and we give them our highest recommendation!

Much Needed Calming Voice in All the Excitement

Holy cow, I don't know what I'd have done without her. Besides making me feel she had about all the details covered for the stressful weeks before the wedding, she was my rock at the wedding. The day goes by so fast and there are so many things to do, she was there in the background making sure they were done and everything ran smoothly. All I had to do was enjoy the celebration.

Lisa was an absolute GODSEND. Seriously, I can't imagine how our wedding would have gone without her. She is so sweet, organized, and determined. We trusted her completely because she is clearly an expert at what she does. Because of her, we didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day - and it all went super smoothly! 10.23.21 Wedding

My husband and I got married last fall on October 23rd and could not of done it without Lisa. At first I was hesitant about if we needed a planner but after our first talk with Lisa I realized 100% we did. Lisa handles everything for you to help make your day run as smoothly as possible for you. She handled any issue we had with vendors, helped answer all hundred of my questions throughout, and was always there to help us advert any crisis. She is professional, kind, fun to work with, and very good at what she does. She gave us check lists which let us know what we needed to do and when throughout and she helped us think of all the little things you forget (trust me there’s a lot), down to every detail. She ran our rehearsal which I never would’ve known how to and made sure our wedding day stayed right on track. She is like your wedding manager and keeps everyone in line. I can not say enough good things about Lisa. If you are questioning if you should hire her, this is your sign. Don’t walk, run! We are so thankful we found Lisa and that she was such a huge part of our special day.

Top Notch Planner

Lisa is such an amazing planner and an overall sweet person inside and out. She is great at what she does and has the knowledge and experience for planning spectacular weddings. She is very organized and goes above and beyond not only for the couple but for their families and guests. I highly recommend that you at least talk to her about what she can do to make your special day the best ever and stress-free. Trust me you’ll be amazed.

Amazing!

Lisa and Scott are AMAZING!!!! We were planning a wedding in my hometown in iowa from out of state. We found Lisa, and thank God!!! She helped keep us on task leading up the wedding, always willing to offer suggestions and insight, extremely responsive, ready to jump in whenever needed.
Then came the day of the wedding, and THANK GOD again!!! Lisa and Scott made our lives so much easier, took care of all of the details, made sure we were taken care of, and took away much of the stress of the day.
I would absolutely recommend Lisa, as she is knowledgeable, responsive, and always willing to jump in.

100% recommend Lisa!!

Words can not describe just how amazing Lisa was on our wedding day! I myself am a stickler for timelines and nothing makes me crazier than when things don’t run on time. I knew after our first initial Zoom call that Lisa was someone I could trust to keep the entire day running on track. Of course I couldn’t help myself and questioned things on our wedding day, but every time I asked Lisa a question she was two steps ahead of me and had it all taken care of! I can honestly say that I was not stressed at all the day of our wedding! I also received multiple compliments following the big day (from our officiant and my mother-in-law) on how wonderful Lisa was! I think the exact words were ‘your wedding planner was a BOSS’. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone!

Extreme Professional

If wedding planning was an Olympic sport, Lisa would have a slew of gold medals! She has amazing attention to detail and can adapt to any situation. There was never a point when it didn’t seem like she was on top of it. If something did go wrong she was always ready with a solution.
