I cannot recommend Lisa Syring with Cherish the Day Wedding Coordination enough! She coordinated my wedding two weeks ago, and honestly, I don’t know what I would have done without her. I booked her somewhat last minute, and she immediately jumped in and made everything feel completely manageable and stress free.
Lisa handled every single detail with such professionalism, organization, and calmness. She took care of things I didn’t even realize needed to be done, which allowed me to fully relax and actually enjoy my wedding day instead of worrying about logistics. Anytime I needed something, she was there instantly with a smile and such a reassuring presence.
Not only was Lisa amazing, but her family was an absolute blessing as well. They helped clean up the venue afterward and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect from start to finish.
If you are looking for someone who genuinely cares, is incredibly organized, and will make your wedding day feel effortless, Lisa is the person you want by your side. She made our day more special than I can put into words, and I am so grateful for everything she did for us -

From the moment my husband and I first met with Lisa during the wedding planning process, a huge weight was lifted off of our shoulders. So much of the stress we felt simply floated away as Lisa's reassurance and expertise came into the frame.
I could say so many positive things about our experience with Cherish The Day, but one specific moment stands out: Two weeks before the big day, our decorators told us that "they wouldn't be able to achieve our original vision" that we had been set on since the beginning. We had very little hope that we would be able to figure out an alternative so close to the wedding date. Without us asking, Lisa went above and beyond, reaching out to her contacts in the wedding industry. She was able to connect us with someone who stepped in at the last minute to decorate our tent with paper lanterns exactly the way we wanted. At the end of the day, we would have survived without the lanterns, but we definitely wouldn't have made it through the day with Lisa, her kindness, and her magical ability to control the chaos.
Lisa's passion, top-notch problem-solving skills, and professionalism allowed us to have the best wedding day we could have possibly imagined!! -

I don’t even have enough words to describe how amazing Lisa is. I could probably write a book, but I'll keep it short and sweet. 🩷
Planning a wedding on the family farm was already chaotic enough — and then our family experienced a tragedy just 11 days before the big day. Lisa immediately checked in and asked how she could help. I probably gave her more than she bargained for that week, but she handled everything with such grace and compassion.
She was there for rehearsal and the entire wedding day, keeping everyone on schedule and making sure every little detail came together perfectly. Lisa has such a calm, confident presence — she offered advice whenever we needed it and helped us make smart, stress-free decisions leading up to the big day.
She and her team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. We always knew she had our backs — from the early planning details to every moment on the wedding day. Her top priority was making sure our day was exactly what we wanted it to be.

Not only did Lisa help make sure our day went smoothly, she and her team also helped with decor set up and they did a beautiful job. Lisa was always one step ahead throughout our planning process and on wedding day. She asked us many questions we hadn’t thought of but we’re so important to creating the perfect day we had. I would give Cherish the Day an 11/10. There are very few people like Lisa, and I feel so lucky to have had her as a part of our special day. She was everything I needed and more. After getting married, you realize just how chaotic and busy the day really is especially as the bride—but Lisa was there every step of the way, remembering every detail. I never had to worry about a single thing; if I thought of something, she was already ten steps ahead of me. Lisa has been a part of several of our family weddings, and I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone. As our wedding planner, Lisa kept us on track with timelines and tasks leading up to the big day. She coordinated with every vendor and managed the entire week’s schedule with incredible organization. Whenever I needed a recommendation, she had the perfect suggestion. She exceeded every expectation—though I can’t say I was surprised. Lisa is truly gifted at what she does; this is the job she was made for. -

I initially thought I could handle all the wedding planning myself but quickly realized I was becoming less excited about the big day and more stressed, anxious and quite frankly, over it! I called on the help of Lisa and she immediately eased my stress and worry with all her helpful planning tools and advice. She was incredibly responsive to my many questions and concerns and worked well with all of our vendors to ensure the day went off without a hitch. If you truly want to “cherish your day”, you need to have Cherish the Day plan your wedding! We are beyond thankful for Lisa and Scott being a part of our day! -

When my daughter got engaged, we were feeling overwhelmed with the prospect of wedding planning. We found Lisa & Cherish the Day online, read all the great reviews and contacted her. She was prompt in returning our inquiry and very friendly and professional in an online consultation and we decided on her quickly as our wedding planner/coordinator. A wonderful decision! Lisa is very attentive to detail, knowledgeable about the wedding industry & vendors in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area, and had even worked weddings at our venue (Hotel Millwright in Amana) so knew the property and staff there (which was extremely helpful). She met with the bride & groom in person & online and was very attentive to emails/texts from them and me. She helped keep my daughter accountable for each step in the planning process so they didn't get behind in planning and kept in touch with our vendors and on top of our contract details. She brings many ideas to the table from weddings she's been part of in the past but also mainly wants to help execute the day to include your dreams and desires. One of the best things was the TIMELINE she put together to give to the wedding party to keep everyone on the same page and things running smoothly for makeup, hair, pictures, etc, on the wedding day. Lisa did a super job running the rehearsal and on the wedding day, she and her husband, Scott, were incredible - keeping things on time and they were ready to help with whatever issues came up with a smile. Lisa is able to take charge gracefully so you can relax and enjoy the day. She also brought an awesome bag of emergency items that was very helpful. We received many comments from the wedding party, family and guests about how smooth and non-stressful the wedding felt which was due to Lisa & Cherish the Day! My son has been in multiple weddings lately and said none were as well planned & executed as this one. I consider Lisa & Scott friends and would HIGHLY recommend Cherish the Day to anyone - they helped create a storybook wedding for my daughter and son-in-law! -

We could not have done it without Lisa! We connected to late in the process for their coordinating services. We were absolutely blown away by how thorough her coordinating skills were, especially with the vendors. A lot of things happened last minute, our point of contact at the venue was replaced a week before the wedding and the musicians we had hired were no longer willing to play. Lisa diligently navigated everyone through with absolutely ideal results. I struggle to relax in situations like this and Lisa made me feel so taken care of! We could not recommend Cherish the Day enough!! I’ve been raving to anyone who asks—and even those who don’t—about working with Lisa. I initially started looking for “Day Of” coordinators when Lisa presented her “Month Of” package. It was the perfect amount of help for someone who was willing to do all of the legwork of finding and selecting vendors and just wanted assistance with the communication and execution once it was closer to the wedding date. We met with Lisa over a year before the wedding just so we could talk about our vision for our wedding and to see what areas we might need help in. She gave vendor recommendations when needed and made sure I had checklists to stay on track with booking everything. With her experience, she asked us questions about things we didn’t even realize we need to consider and gave suggestions if we were struggling. The best part was that she handled all of the vendor communication in the month leading up to the wedding, and she built the most detailed timeline for us (bridal party and vendors) to follow. My goal was to have someone that any and all questions could be directed to so that I didn’t have to add any stress—Lisa was that person and so, so much more. Both Lisa and her assistant (there on the day of) are amazing to work with—so personal and professional at the same time and there every step of the day. Cherish the Day is truly one of the best investments we made for our wedding!! -

We hired Lisa for day-of coordinating. She went above and beyond for us! Throughout the year she checked in with us and sent us checklists for what we should have done and what we should be doing during that time frame. She really helped keep us on track. She also had helpful information when hiring other vendors and had great recommendations, which we ended up using some. The day of our wedding was a dream! She had everything under control with the venue and ALL of the vendors. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing the entire day. A true wedding fairy god mother. -

My husband and I got married last fall on October 23rd and could not of done it without Lisa. At first I was hesitant about if we needed a planner but after our first talk with Lisa I realized 100% we did. Lisa handles everything for you to help make your day run as smoothly as possible for you. She handled any issue we had with vendors, helped answer all hundred of my questions throughout, and was always there to help us advert any crisis. She is professional, kind, fun to work with, and very good at what she does. She gave us check lists which let us know what we needed to do and when throughout and she helped us think of all the little things you forget (trust me there’s a lot), down to every detail. She ran our rehearsal which I never would’ve known how to and made sure our wedding day stayed right on track. She is like your wedding manager and keeps everyone in line. I can not say enough good things about Lisa. If you are questioning if you should hire her, this is your sign. Don’t walk, run! We are so thankful we found Lisa and that she was such a huge part of our special day.

Words can not describe just how amazing Lisa was on our wedding day! I myself am a stickler for timelines and nothing makes me crazier than when things don’t run on time. I knew after our first initial Zoom call that Lisa was someone I could trust to keep the entire day running on track. Of course I couldn’t help myself and questioned things on our wedding day, but every time I asked Lisa a question she was two steps ahead of me and had it all taken care of! I can honestly say that I was not stressed at all the day of our wedding! I also received multiple compliments following the big day (from our officiant and my mother-in-law) on how wonderful Lisa was! I think the exact words were ‘your wedding planner was a BOSS’. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone! -

Lisa with Cherish the Day was recommended to me by one of my best friends as soon as I got engaged! I was engaged at the same time as some of my other friends and let me tell you, Lisa is a LIFE SAVER! She was so kind, honest, and professional and made sure to keep us on task with regular check ins. Her checklists literally saved me from not thinking of tiny details that would have mattered. I honestly cannot even imagine what my day would have been like without her. Lisa (Cherish the Day) was my wedding planner, and let me tell you..you need one!! She took care of every single detail that you could think of! She was exceptionally organized and had everything under control for us. She coordinated with vendors, made phone calls, went to numerous meetings with us, and so much more. And that was just before the wedding. On wedding day, she was literally our backbone. She made sure everything was done, the timeline was perfect, people were lined up, etc. All I had to do was relax and have fun. She went above and beyond for us and we were SO grateful to have her. -

Cherish the Day is the single greatest thing that my husband and I did when planning our wedding. Lisa and her team are professional, efficient, excited, and creative. Lisa is assertive and thoughtful, she is an absolute pro at navigating the industry and she excelled at vendor management. Hiring Cherish the Day gave Nick and I the freedom to spend our time focused on sentiment and family thoughout the planning process and during the wedding weekend. Early in our engagement, my fiancé and I were skeptical about the need to hire a wedding planner. After every married couple we encountered emphasized the importance of hiring a wedding planner, we decided to reconsider. Fast forward to now, 2 weeks from our wedding day, and we cannot imagine having gone through this process without Lisa by our side. Hiring Cherish the Day was the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. Lisa has truly gone above and beyond to help us prepare for our wedding. She has been our advocate, our advisor, and our friend, and she works tirelessly to ensure that our wedding day will be the amazing celebration we've always dreamed of! Hiring Cherish the Day has not only allowed us to maintain our sanity, but has also alleviated stress for our families. I have no doubt that come May 4th, myself, my groom, our families, and our wedding party will be able to relax and enjoy ourselves thanks to Lisa's hard work, organization, and competence. Hiring a wedding planner was an investment, but after working with Lisa for the last 10 months, my fiancé and I can confidently say it was the best money we spent throughout the planning process. -

Lisa was super helpful the day before at rehearsal and then the hour before the reception. For not having a vendor/priest to help with rehearsal, Lisa was perfect for making sure everything thing was in order and we went down when we were supposed to and that no one was fooling around. Then the day of the wedding she made sure every last minute detail was perfect. To making sure the wedding party knew where to be and when to making sure the DJ had what he wanted. Her and her husband kept things easy and kept all the stress off my shoulders. I would recommend her to anyone who doesn't want to have the extra stress of planning. -

I even expressed concern over not being able to find the arch I wanted and she had her husband MAKE me one so I could have the perfect arch. She was my support so many times and she always had a positive attitude! While everyone was getting their makeup done and dresses on, Lisa was running around making sure my centerpieces were just the way I wanted. She worked with all my vendors to make sure everything was as perfect as I wanted it to be and she came up with so many ideas that just took my wedding to the next level. I can say I have not had a Wedding Planner as friendly, efficient and so detailed as Lisa! I have hosted over 160 weddings since fall 2013 and the wedding Cherish the Day (Lisa) planned and followed through was the most efficiently smooth wedding I have seen here.
She is now my exclusive Wedding Planner/Designer and I would highly recommend her to anyone having an event.
