Wow! We could not be happier after working with Chelsea and having her capture our wedding. We crossed paths by recommendation from our wedding planner (Plain With Sprinkles) and we were instant fans of her work. We immediately were drawn to her raw, natural style. Her images looked real, authentic and true, not overly edited or altered and it was exactly what we wanted for our photos.
Upon meeting her for the first time via video chat we felt comforted by her easy vibe and genuine interest in getting to know us. The planning process was super easy and she kept things light hearted and simple. And on wedding day she was all smiles, but even more so, all business. We were so impressed by her ability to handle our (at times) over bearing, or untimely family members with poise and patience, keep us on schedule, all while enjoying every moment. We never felt awkward or forced into any poses, everything was natural and effortless. The photos turned out ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. We’re so happy. Can’t thank Chelsea enough for creating the vibe we hoped for, and for capturing our special day.

Chelsea was recommended to us by our wedding coordinator and I'm so glad we reached out to her. From the start, she was incredibly responsive and answered all of our initial questions. She was open to call with us since we were planning our wedding remotely, and even over zoom, it was clear she has a warm and inviting personality that would make us feel comfortable on our wedding day. My wife and I are both awkward in front of a camera so it was very important to us to find a photographer who would allow us to be natural with one another and not push for lots of posed pictures. Half the night we didn't even notice she was there (which was a good thing to us) but when we got our photos back, she captured literally every single moment. She was so professional and kept our whole wedding party on schedule. She also was very flexible with our picture schedule because I had some things change due to different family dynamics. Chelsea is incredibly "go with the flow" and makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Taking pictures with her was fun and we enjoyed every minute. We're eternally grateful to her for capturing our day so we have memories to last us forever. If you're looking for someone who will kind of take a step back and capture the wedding for the beauty and joy that it is, Chelsea is your photographer. She answered every email in a timely manner, she sent us a really helpful wedding day guide with recommendations for other vendors as well as tips and tricks for any type of picture we might want, and she also sent us our sneak peak shortly after our wedding. Everything Chelsea does it thoughtful- from sending us a celebratory care package when we booked her, to the USB with our photos on it accompanied by hand selected printed photos she sent along with it. She really made us feel celebrated and I can't imagine having anyone else photograph our day! Thank you Chelsea!! -

Chelsea is an incredibly talented photographer, and I feel fortunate to have worked with her for both my engagement and wedding photos. Her eye for a beautiful photo is evident throughout her portfolio, but her professionalism, attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and ability to make photos (and the subjects in them) feel completely natural shine as you work with her. I was nervous initially about being in front of the camera on the biggest day of my life, but the nerves melted away when I met Chelsea for the first time. She made my husband and me completely comfortable. We felt like we could easily be ourselves around her, and the photos reflect that. Although I looked forward to albums of photos, she understood that I did not want our wedding to feel like we were participating in a photoshoot. Her ability to capture a moment as it unfolds is everything - I am blown away by the quality of the candids that really captured the spirit of the day. I am so happy to have these photos that show how my husband and I feel about each other and take us back to the moments when she snapped them. She is prepared, knowledgeable, and a delight to be around. Her personality made the hours spent together easy, and we missed her when our time was up. I would strongly suggest doing your engagement photos and wedding photos with her - the collection is unbelievable. Chelsea is an excellent communicator who responded to every email and my many questions. She was involved in the most helpful way throughout our planning. She has gone above and beyond throughout our time with her - from thoughtful mail, incredible quality details, her wedding guides, and even her willingness to walk through the venue with us. Her experience truly put everyone involved with my wedding at ease. She is a leader whom I never needed to worry about. She works very hard, as evidenced by the quantity and quality of the photos and their edits. I would recommend her to anyone for timeless photographs and a gently guided, but relaxed, wedding day or engagement photoshoot. I am so proud to have worked with her - she was a huge contributing factor to our perfect day and this special season of life. -

Chelsea is an absolutely amazing photographer! I found Chelsea online while planning my wedding in Asheville and she was always very easy to communicate with. She is extremely organized and met with us prior to booking to ensure we were a good match. She happily attended a pre-wedding meeting at the venue to discuss the ceremony plans which made planning a lot easier!
Our wedding date had to be moved due to Hurricane Helene, she was very supportive and accommodated our wedding date being changed with absolutely zero issues.
On the day of the wedding Chelsea had such a calming presence throughout the day. I really appreciated her breathing technique to encourage us (and our guests) to look more comfortable throughout the photo process. Throughout our wedding day it was very obvious she is a professional with a lot of experience.
We recently got our photos back, and the quality of the photos are amazing! She really captured the many small details and moments of the day. I highly recommend Chelsea to anyone looking for a photographer!

Chelsea was SO amazing to work with! She was professional and responsive on the lead up to the wedding-we were coming from out of town for our ceremony so this was key. Then, on the day of she helped organize and direct to make everything so perfect-she was truly a big part of our wedding day going smoothly. The photos she captured truly encompassed everything we aimed to capture from the day-you can tell she takes pride in her work. We cannot recommend Chelsea enough to anyone looking for a photographer in Western NC! -

Chelsea was our wedding photographer and she did a phenomenal job! She has such a fun and calming presence which helped us feel comfortable and enjoy ourselves, and she was awesome at blending in while capturing all the important moments. Leading up to the wedding day, Chelsea was really easy to talk to and helped guide us in creating a timeline and figuring out what was important to us. So in love with our wedding photos
Hiring a great photographer was at the top of my list for wedding planning, and we hit the jackpot hiring Chelsea -- we cannot stop scrolling through our gallery and admiring the absolutely gorgeous photos.
We initially came across Chelsea through her blog but fell in love with her style of capturing candid moments. She was a breeze to communicate with and provided many great tips/advice for planning the wedding day timeline.
Neither me or my now-husband are super comfortable in front of the camera, but Chelsea blended into the scenery and let us feel like we were having a private moment, both for our engagement and wedding photos.
This was also reflected in the natural, candid moments Chelsea took throughout the day. The non-posed photos are some of our favorite shots, and she did a fantastic job shooting many of the intimate and personal moments of the day. Our joy, laughter, and tears were perfectly captured in our photos.
Chelsea has a keen eye for finding the right angles, lighting, and colors that result in incredible photos. We are so happy we chose Chelsea to take our engagement and wedding photos! -

I had an absolutely superb experience with Chelsea for my wedding photography, from start to finish, from her communication to her style at the event, to the photos themselves and delivery. All super classy.
She captured the wedding ceremony and reception (and welcome party too) comprehensively, while simultaneously expertly blending in to the environment. She documenting our wedding day with thoughtfulness and care -- the photos are awesome and truly capture the energy and character of our events and guests. I do not understand how she got so many shots of the wedding ceremony from different angles and also stayed quite covert. Total ninja skills. I don't remember seeing her during the ceremony, at all. I know that photos are important, but it is so distracting when a photographer is at the front of the aisle, behind the couple, etc, during a ceremony and Chelsea did none of that. I prioritized the experience over the documentation, we had very few posed photos and did not have a first look. I am thrilled that things were nonetheless documented beautifully. Several guests commented that they did not remember seeing a photographer at the reception; Chelsea was not distracting, interruptive, or pushy, but was clearly right there in the scenes, based on the way they are documented (seriously no idea how she maneuvered a rather spirited dance floor for some of those shots).
Chelsea also listened and honored my requests. We met for coffee to discuss 'vision' and vibe and I got a really good feel for Chelsea's style before committing. She checked-in prior to the ceremony, working with me for timing and locations ahead of time and planning the who&where details. She didn't bat an eye when I told her I forgot to bring some of the items usually used for some sentimental shots (invitation, etc), or when I chose to skip bridesmaid photos outdoors before the ceremony, which would have been lovely, but I really needed some quiet time inside prior to the ceremony. Her approach was truly the perfect balance of non-contrived capture. If you want beautiful, natural photos and to hire someone who is very easy to work with - Chelsea is your girl! -

We truly don't have the words to describe how thrilled we are to have booked Chelsea for our wedding photography! She was an absolute joy to work with, a pleasure to get to know, and we are still screaming about the photos we got back! As soon as we came across her work we knew we wanted to reach out but it was as soon as I talked to her on the phone that it was an absolute lock! Her fly on the wall approach, belief in letting the reality of the day inform the beauty rather than rely on filters and photoshop, and ability to help these two awkward humans feel comfortable in front of the lens was unparalleled! On the day she was such a great help in finding beautiful spots for our first look and post ceremony couple photos. She was friendly, engaged, and managed to get some hilarious and perfect photos of all our guests. If you have the chance to hire Chelsea, DO IT! You will not be disappointed. -

When my husband and I got engaged we knew two things for sure - the venue we wanted and our photographer. I found Chelsea's work on instagram and fell in love with it immediately! It's simple yet moody, isn't packed with filters like a lot of wedding photographers are these days, and the portraits and candids are equally as beautiful. I knew the photos would come out great and we weren't disappointed in the slightest -- I LOVE our wedding photos! Chelsea was without a doubt the easiest vendor to work with, gave super helpful advice, was organized and responded to inquiries fast, and was so helpful on the day-of as well! I honestly believe anything she takes photos of will turn out beautiful but especially so if your style is vintage-inspired like ours. I really have nothing but good things to say about her and her work and truly 100% recommend her to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much for our incredible photos! -

Chelsea may very well be some sort of magician and I am here for it!!! As a bride who never really dreamed of what her wedding would be like, I had no idea what to look for when choosing a photographer and I was a little lost, but thank god our wedding planner recommended Chelsea. The photos she took of us on our wedding day feel effortless and unique and she managed to really capture the vibe of the day. She is also an incredibly patient, kind, and thoughtful human who gave just the right amount of suggestions of what to do or how to stand while also letting us do whatever the hell we wanted. She stuck by us after we had to push our original date back by a year due to covid and made rescheduling much less stressful than it could've been. She checked in regularly, was clear about timeline and expectations, and truly made me feel comfortable. She's a dream to work with and we are so grateful for the gorgeous photo memories that she created. Hire her immediately! -

We knew we wanted Chelsea to photograph our wedding from the moment we saw her portfolio--we were so drawn to her style which is so authentic, evocative, and artful. After our initial conversation, the decision was made! She made things so easy; everything was well outlined and described, she was communicative both with us and our other vendors, and she was both flexible and adaptable to our needs and the timeline as the day went on.
Our wedding photos bring back all the emotion and sentiment of the day as it happened for us, and this is all due to Chelsea's incredible talent, amazing ability to be everywhere at once (?!), and hard work. Flexible & Captures the Kodak Moments
We absolutely love our wedding photos from Chelsea! She has a talented way of capturing all of the precious unplanned & unstaged moments. As we look through our photos, we are overcome with the biggest smiles and all the feels that bring us right back to how we felt on that special day. She proved to be amazingly flexible, as we decided spur-of-the-moment to mount a horse for some couple photos; it was totally not in the plan, but Chelsea rolled with it and captured what I would say is the crowd favorite photo. Needless to say, this year has been more than crazy for everyone. Trying to have a wedding in the middle of this was no easy feat. Chelsea was amazing from the beginning to the extended, end. She confidently helped us navigate through all of the planning, canceling, replanning, canceling then planning again. WHEW! She was nothing but understanding and more than willing to help us adapt to every challenge. My husband and are the most awkward people in front of a camera, we have never done any sort of photography shoot before, and you would not be able to tell at all! I mean we did ask for her to throw in some of our priceless bloopers though, which was an awesome treat. Needless to say, If you are looking for a photographer who will capture beautiful candid moments then Chelsea is your lady. -

Amazing photos & wonderful all around!
Chelsea could not have been more wonderful as our wedding photographer!! When our original plans were scrapped, we reached out to her 6 weeks out, and she was responsive, helpful, and kind throughout the planning process. We really appreciated working with someone who respected and advocated for a safe environment for everyone involved. Then, the photos... they are truly stunning!! We got a sneak peek two days after the wedding and our collection two weeks after our date. Beyond all of the big moments captured so beautifully, there are so many wonderful candid photos that display the pure joy and real happiness of the day. Working with Chelsea was an absolute dream. When I came across her work, I fell in love instantly and knew I wanted her to shoot our wedding. We had originally booked Chelsea for our May 2020 wedding, but ended up postponing to August due to covid. Chelsea was extremely helpful during all of this, sending us resources and just being available to listen/give advice during such a challenging time!
When our wedding day came around, she adapted to a last-minute change of the ceremony location due to potential thunderstorms. Not to mention, we also had to change our reception venue weeks out. Chelsea was calm and flexible throughout everything.
If I had to choose just three words to describe our wedding photos: authentic, exquisite, and timeless. We can't imagine not having Chelsea there to capture our special day. We also received our photos much quickly than expected.
Chelsea is incredible and exceeded our expectations in every way. I highly recommend her for any photography needs! -

Chelsea is the best!
Chelsea is a true gem that helped our wedding be the amazing day it was. Our pictures are absolutely incredible. Everyone that has seen them has been in awe at how beautiful she made every moment look. They are timeless and captured every detail and emotion from our day. Chelsea went above and beyond in not only her talents as a photographer, but she was willing to help me out as a mini wedding planner when asked for her suggestions. Perfectly Captured Our Day in Every Way
It’s incredibly difficult to sum up our experience with Chelsea in the space (and attention span) of an online review. 5 stars really aren’t enough. Her unique eye for lighting and composition is surpassed only by her calm, personable approach. While her work speaks for itself, I can’t express enough how wonderful Chelsea is to work and interact with.
We first met Chelsea (in person) during our engagement shoot a year prior to our wedding. She was flexible with location, gave great direction, and captured some amazing off-the-cuff images that perfectly set the stage for the wedding to come.
Our wedding went better than we could have imagined, and Chelsea was a big part of that. She was calm, respectful and friendly with our guests, and captured genuine moments throughout the day in a unique and artful way. Upon receiving our photos (sooner than we expected), my wife and I were floored. She managed to perfectly capture the day in a way that transcends more traditional documentary photography. We knew they would be great, but all I can say is, wow.
Thank you for everything Chelsea. We are so grateful for having found you and the memories that you captured. We can't recommend Chelsea enough. -

Perfect Photographer For Us!
Chelsea was the perfect photographer for our engagement and wedding day photos. From the first emails and phone calls, she was professional, calming in her approach, patient, and happy to answer any questions we had. On top of that, her work is beautiful. She has a keen eye for capturing the moments that feel genuine, human, and memorable—a far cry from the expected and stock photo look that we wanted to avoid.
During our engagement photo session we ran into not the most ideal weather and Chelsea not only was flexible with location but managed to turn the situation into photos that we love so much that we were happy about the weather.
Before our wedding day, Chelsea was proactive with schedules and preperation and became part of the day that we felt would go as planned. She did not disappoint. On our wedding day, she made her way down our requested shot list and overdelivered with shots that only her eye could see. She also delivered our photos ahead of schedule. What more could we ask for? Thank you Chelsea. We would recommend you to anyone. -

Chelsea and I met by coincidence through Instagram (or maybe it was fate) and I couldn’t be happier that we did. We needed someone to capture our elopement and as a part-time photographer myself, finding someone I trusted enough to take our photos was a daunting task. The minute I saw Chelsea’s work I knew she would be the perfect fit. Because of fog and rain we had to change our plans last minute, but Chelsea was nothing but accommodating and even offered to drive the Parkway with us to get the pretty mountain pictures I had always dreamed of.
AND THE PICTURES 😍 Somehow Chelsea is able to capture every emotion, color and feeling in each and every moment. Whether you’re looking for portraits, wedding or small business photos I can promise you Chelsea is not only a safe bet, but your best bet too.

We got married in our favorite little bookstore in Asheville, followed by some wedding photography downtown in our favorite spots and family and reception photos in our backyard potluck reception. Everything was uniquely us, and Chelsea captured every moment. I can't believe what beautiful photos she produced with such varying and challenging lighting and locations! Not only did she proactively communicate with us on a regular basis in the weeks leading up to the wedding, she also visited with the bookstore's event manager to check out lighting and space, and during the entire reception, she was seamlessly there, moving in and around the crowd so gracefully. She has a great sense of humor, creative eye, and compassion...she really helps you relax on your big day and live in the moment. -

Absolutely beyond!
I cannot say enough good things about Chelsea. She captured the best moments and each and every detail - big and small- of our elopement. Not only are the photos beautiful, they're natural and subtle and totally elevate what I think of as wedding photography. Chelsea is helpful throughout the entire process and good at reminding you that it doesn't have to feel weird to be in front of the camera! We appreciated so much how well she is able to take photo after photo without us even noticing she's doing it--totally unobtrusive, which is ideal for small weddings or in our case, just the two of us. We have such beautiful memories of our wedding day and grateful to Chelsea for freezing them in time for us (and so are our moms who can now share the day with us through our photos!). -

I cannot say enough how much we enjoyed working with Chelsea! She was so responsive and made us feel comfortable from the beginning. The day of, she put us completely at ease. I didn't want a day where I felt like I was posing for pictures most of the day and not enjoying the moment. She understood this and was able to capture everything beautifully. The pictures were amazing and I am so thankful for the way she was able to photograph the day exactly as I remembered it. She got the photos back to us quicker than I expected and included a thoughtful, personal touch when we received them. Would recommend her to anyone getting married in Asheville! -
