Not only is Lindsey Rae so professional and easy to work with, but the stylists are SO talented. Truly every single member of the bridal party looked incredible. I loved my hair and makeup - and collaborating with them from my bridal vision to the final day was seamless. Lindsey Rae perfectly planned and communicated everything, taking so much pressure off of me as the bride. Couldn't recommend them more! -

I was one of the many brides who had to reschedule my wedding due to Covid. Throughout the entire process Cheeky Strut - and in particular Lindsey, CD's wedding coordinator - were incredibly helpful, patient and empathetic. Lindsey and my MUA Rachael were both so kind and generous with their time and attention. ////// Lindsey made the entire process SO easy, letting me focus on the many other tasks at hand. I knew we were in the best hands with her. //// Rachael was my MUA and she knocked it out of the park. She listened to my vision (even when it was a little out of the box!), offered input and just has such an incredible gift. Beyond her talent, Rachael was just a lovely person to work with and get to know. I'm so grateful she was part of my day! ///// Paige did my hair and just WOW. I have naturally curly hair which has historically been scary to stylists in the past. Paige dove in with a confidence and vision that gave me such peace and allowed me to clearly articulate my needs and enjoy my time. Like Rachael, I now couldn't imagine my day without her! /// My hair and makeup stayed looking amazing all the way until the after party wrapped up at 2 a.m. They also made my mom, sister and best girlfriends look like a million bucks. From the very beginning, Lindsey and her Strut team, were SO easy to communicate with and so professional. I felt very at ease being an out-of-state bride with this crew. This team is the best of the best. Summer, Rachael, Paige, Britt, and Rachel arrived to my bridal suite at the Cheney Place and began working like a well oiled machine. They worked diligently and thoughtfully to make myself and my bridesmaids feel so incredibly beautiful. Summer did my bridal hair and makeup and perfectly executed my vision to look natural and not overdone. They all had such a calm demeanor that made for a relaxing but well-executed morning. Lindsey helped with planning and was always wonderful to work with and very communicative. You will be in good hands with this amazing team! -

The BEST hair & makeup team
I have been getting my hair done by Summer at Cheeky Strut for the last year and she is amazing! I recently got married and hired Cheeky Strut/Siren & Proper for hair and makeup. I am SO HAPPY with how everything turned out. The lead coordinator Lindsey Rae was very helpful and a great communicator. Summer did my bridal looks, which I loved! Chelsea and Allie rounded out the team and everything was perfect. I highly recommend the girls at Cheeky for your wedding. -

As a bride who didn't have a wedding planner, I really relied on my vendors to be organized and trust they have everything under control. Lindsey at Cheeky Strut was amazing to work with - she created the wedding party's hair and makeup schedules and was very communicative through the entire process. Our hair and makeup team was AMAZING! Everyone looked so good, and it was really fun coming up with ideas. They were all so knowledgable and made every single one of us feel beautiful. Lindsay (coordinator) was wonderful to work with. She is responsive, informative, and friendly. She was always available for questions, she put together a great team based on my needs, and she is very good at her job so I didn't have to worry about anything. The hair and makeup artists that I had (Hope and Hillary) were also wonderful. They were kind and efficient, and made me and my girls look and feel beautiful. They were great about making any adjustments to our looks as well. They charge a very standard/reasonable cost and give GREAT service. Highly recommended. -

The easiest wedding decision I had to make!
By far, hiring Cheeky Strut to do my wedding party and I's hair was by far the easiest decision I made during wedding planning! Lindsey Rae was an absolute dream to work with, she was so incredibly organized and took all of the stress off from me when I had a million things to do. Not only was she so quick to respond, but she was so incredibly kind and you could tell she genuinely wanted to make your day the best it could be! We were lucky enough to have Britt and Summer as our dream team for my wedding day and I couldn't have asked for better stylists! All of my girls left feeling SO happy with their hair and we received so many compliments throughout the day. Plus they were both such a joy to have with us hanging out on my wedding morning! Hands down you need them on your wedding day, you won't regret it!! -

Lindsey Rae and Hillary were great! My husband and I were originally going to get married on April 4th 2020, but covid had other plans. Lindsey Rae was so flexible and helpful when it came to working around our new wedding date. Hillary was also wonderful. I showed her my vision and she gave me exactly what I was looking for. The cheeky strut team is just wonderful. -

I was one of the unlucky COVID brides who had to postpone my wedding from 2020 to 2021. During that time, my original hair and makeup team went out of business. This horrible situation ended up being the best-case scenario because I lucked out finding Cheeky Strut. From start to finish I had the BEST experience. Lindsey was a breeze to work with keeping me informed as things changed with COVID as well as normal wedding stuff. There were 13 of us getting hair and make-up for the wedding and every single person absolutely loved their look. Everyone in the bridal party typically wears minimal make-up. Cheeky Strut did an incredible job keeping us looking like our normal selves, but WAY more beautiful and glammed up. Our group specifically worked with Hillary and Carly Jo for hair, and Lisa, Darby, and Summer for make-up. Every single one crushed it! I wholeheartedly recommend all of them. You will not be disappointed!! -

Absolutely Amazing
I typically hate getting my hair and makeup done because I feel like I never look like me when it’s done. That wasn’t the case at all with Cheeky Strut. I LOVED my look and the look of my whole bridal party. Everyone looked beautiful, chic and most importantly, still like themselves! It was so nice to just relax on my wedding knowing that these girls will make everyone look fantastic.
I really also appreciate how wonderful they were to work with, especially with the daily changes that COVID brought. Through everything, they were flexible and communicative with me and were so understanding with each potential change we had to make.
Hair and makeup is one of the most important things to get right on the wedding day and Cheeky Strut never disappoints . -

Cheeky Strut was so incredible to work with and I am so grateful we hired them for our big day! All of the stylists were very professional and skilled at styling everyone's hair and making my girls feel beautiful. Hillary styled my hair and made me feel like a princess! Hillary, Summer and Darby are all so talented. The timing of the morning ran so smoothly and they helped make my vision come to life. We ended up having to postpone our wedding due to COVID, and Lindsey Rae (Wedding Coordinator) was so helpful and incredibly flexible throughout the entire process. I cannot say enough great things about them. If you are looking for an all around amazing hair experience for your big day, hire Cheeky Strut! -

amazing time and amazing results for covid bride and crew
I (bride) and three others got our wedding day hair and makeup done at Cheeky Strut, and we had a great experience!
I had a very specific film character inspiration for my hair, and they worked with me to pinpoint which of her hairstyles I wanted to mimic and then executed it beautifully. I wanted very natural-looking makeup, and they did a wonderful job with that as well!
We had a range of needs/looks with hair and makeup due to our different ages and ethnicities, and they did an excellent job with everyone. We all looked so beautiful, I love to look at my wedding photos!!
They allowed my photographer father to come in with us to take pictures so now I have "getting ready" photos at the salon. All the stylists were so fun, and we had a great time.
I was a COVID bride, and really appreciated how careful and thoughtful Cheeky Strut was about every detail related to our safety and comfort. At the same time they were so accommodating, as I said they let my dad join us and only required that he do the standard things of mask, social distancing, and health screening on entry. -

I am so glad I decided to book Cheeky Strut for my wedding day. From the minute I inquired, I knew I was in good hands with their coordinator Lindsey. The communication from start to finish was great, which took away a lot of potential stress. The day-of was perfection, seriously. My stylist and MUA were both so friendly and fun. They took my feedback seriously and helped me achieve the exact vision I had in my head. My mom and my maid of honor also came with me day-of and they both had a great experience as well. This salon is seriously top notch, from the hairdressers, makeup artists, to the wedding coordinator. My wedding (a COVID wedding) did not go at all as I had planned. I had to change a million things, and Lindsey and her team were right there, able to make the many changes I needed up until the very morning of my wedding. I simply showed Britt and Rachael a picture of the hair and makeup I wanted one singular time and they were able to recreate it better than I could've imagined. And the way this team works together... it is remarkable. I had a huge wedding party and things did not go according to schedule (some of my girls woke up late etc. it was a long day). The girls work so well together that they know what one another needs without having saying it. I was so impressed. Everyone was more than happy with their hair and makeup. 10/10, wouldn't have even considered another vendor for my wedding hair and makeup. Book them. ASAP. You WILL NOT regret it. -

We got married in Grand Rapids but are from the Metro Detroit area. I didn't know any salons in the area and found our lead stylist, Britt, on Instagram. She has a unique style and made recommendations on what she thought would look best. Her, and Steph, did all of our bridal party's hair and everyone looked gorgeous! Lindsey, who took care of the booking for us, gave me recommendations on times/order of bridesmaids and made everything seamless. I highly recommend them for your wedding day. -

Planning with Lindsey, KL and Carly Jo was the best decision I could have ever made! They were so flexible during my planning process, even when I called them 6 months out and told them that my venue double booked my date and I had to change it to the weekend before. I also went from 6 bridesmaids to 9 and they were able to cover that seamlessly!
KL spent the year (I am a regular client of hers) making sure my hair was happy and healthy and the week of, we did some fluid hair painting which made my color melt look and feel AMAZING. With lots of chaos during the morning of the wedding, they were the only people who could keep me calm and relaxed. KL & CJ took my hair down during the reception and put it in a long cascading ponytail for dancing and added gems and jewel strands. I felt like a princess. I 10/10 recommend Cheeky Strut for your bridal hair and makeup needs! -

Cheeky Strut was the perfect salon for my wedding! Lindsey Rae (the Wedding Coordinator), was so helpful throughout the entire process. She always provided prompt and detailed responses whenever I reached out to her. Scotti was my main hair stylist, and she brought my wedding hair vision to life. She handled everything from my hair color, to my extensions, to the day of the wedding look. Scotti's creativity and attention to detail always blows me away, but she really had me speechless on my wedding day. I also commissioned Britt to make custom hair pieces to pull the look together and make it unique, and holy wowwww were they perfect! For my bridal makeup, I had Rachael and she too did a beautiful job! She is such a sweetheart and created the perfect look for me. The rest of the Cheeky Strut crew who worked on my wedding party did a beautiful job, too. I'm BEYOND happy with my experience and results, and would highly recommend Cheeky Strut to any and all future brides! -

I have been going to Cheeky Strut for years for my everyday hair needs. When my sister was married 3 years ago, I told her to book their services, and everything turned out perfectly, so when it was my turn, I jumped at the chance to work with them again. Their Wedding Coordinator, Lindsey Rae is so easy to work with. She answers all your emails and questions in a timely and complete manner, and makes you think about the details that as a Bride you may be to stressed to consider. I had a team of one hair (Carly Jo), and one make-up artist (Lisa) on-site at my parents house. They arrived on time, helped alleviate stress, and moved through all 4 girls with time to spare. On top of that, they kept things fun and light, which is what every nervous bride needs. All of us looked beautiful, and our hair and make-up held up at an outdoor wedding in summer heat! It was the nicest day in June, so that's saying a lot! i 1000% recommend their services and would go back again and again! -

I got married October 13, 2018 in Glen Arbor, MI. Being from Detroit, I was having a hard time finding hair stylists that could travel or ones in the immediate Glen Arbor area. Their wedding coordinator, Lindsey Rae, is FABULOUS and great at her job. She made it so I didn't have to worry about anything. Lindsey Rae and the team at Cheeky Strut are amazing! I was a disorganized bride (to say the least) and she helped me to stay on top of everything to do with hair and makeup with email reminders and fitting in my appointments on a scrunched timeline. She is so sweet and easy to work with!
Summer completed my trial about a month before the wedding date and noted any tweaks we wanted for the day of. She perfected the glam waves I was going for and kept my makeup look very natural and glowy. I cried buckets of tears throughout the day and my makeup lasted through it all! A few of my bridesmaids joined and were very happy with their looks as well.
I’ve had my makeup done at other weddings where I hardly recognize myself in the end. Definitely not the case here. Felt like the best version of myself!

Collaborating with the Cheeky Strut team for my October 2023 Michigan
destination wedding was an awesome experience! As a nearly ten-year veteran of the wedding industry in the Chicago area, I had a lot of experience planning weddings. Still, I was nervous about working with new vendors, especially when it came to hair and make-up. I knew exactly what I wanted (and didn't want!) in a wedding day beauty team and searched extensively to find the perfect match for my vision and personality. In the end, our photographer, Abbey Moore, recommended Cheeky Strut and I knew they were the ones for me from the very first email exchange with Lindsey Rae, who manages the bookings. Lindsey Rae took the time to answer all of my questions, responded to my emails quickly and efficiently, and made all the necessary changes to our schedule without hesitation. Summer, Britt, and Hannah were our day-of stylists and did an incredible job! They were punctual, efficient, and incredibly relaxed, performing 17 services for nine of us in less than five hours in a small space. I loved that I was able to meet Summer for my hair and make-up trial before the big day. Summer quickly understood my vision and helped me to look and feel my best! I would be delighted to work with the Cheeky Strut team again, both personally and professionally.
