From the very first email, Dana at Cheek to Cheek Artistry was warm, responsive, and just so easy to work with. She answered all our questions clearly and quickly, and made the whole booking process feel really smooth and stress-free. What really stood out was how kind and accommodating she was. She confirmed availability right away, explained everything clearly (including pricing, timing, and travel), and even offered special pricing because of her great relationship with our venue. That kind of thoughtfulness goes a long way.
On a more personal note, my sister and I have called each other “Cheek” for years as a silly nickname, so finding a team called Cheek to Cheek felt like fate. Dana totally embraced that and made us feel like more than just another client. She also made it super easy to move forward—sent over a proposal through their booking system, checked in with helpful next steps, and was just generally a joy to communicate with.
On the wedding day, the Cheek to Cheek team was amazing. They arrived right on time, were super organized, and kept everything running smoothly. My mom, mother-in-law, and all my bridesmaids absolutely loved their hair and makeup—everyone looked and felt beautiful. We had such a fun, relaxed morning getting ready with the team, sipping coffee, sharing breakfast, and listening to music. It felt like hanging out with friends who just happened to be incredibly talented at what they do.
A special shoutout to Sara, who did spray tans for me and my sister before the wedding. She totally understood how important it was to get it just right, and she made us feel so comfortable throughout the process. The results were flawless—natural, glowy, and exactly what we hoped for.
If you’re looking for a beauty team that’s talented, professional, and genuinely lovely to work with, we can’t recommend Cheek to Cheek enough. -

Dana and Candice did makeup and hair for me, my two bridesmaids, and my mom. The experience for both the trial and day-of were thoroughly enjoyable! I don’t typically wear a lot of makeup, and Dana knew exactly how to make me feel glamorous, but still myself. I have short hair, and Candice did some amazing magic with extensions to create the look I wanted. My bridesmaids and my mom all looked and felt beautiful! The wedding happened to fall on the day that Hurricane Hilary blew through SoCal, and hair and makeup survived the entire evening and looked fantastic for us all. I highly recommend Cheek to Cheek, and a special thanks again to Dana and Candice! -

Hello everyone!
I absolutely LOVE Cheek to Cheek Artistry and recommend them to everyone. I laughed, ate, cried, and danced, and my make-up did not budge. My brother is getting married this year and I already recommended Cheek to Cheek to my soon-to-be sister-in-law! I want Cheek to Cheek Artistry to do my hair and make-up every day. -

Truly the best out there!
Dana and her team were absolutely amazing! Not only were they super professional, but they made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I truly felt like a princess on our special day and got so many compliments on my hair and make up. They were timely, professional, and extremely friendly and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. -

I was so skeptical on who to hire to do my wedding day hair and makeup and I feel soo lucky that I found Cheek to Cheek and am so glad I decided to hire them! Dana and her girls are so much fun and absolutely incredible at doing hair and makeup! They made sure me and my girls' makeup looked more natural and not "too much" which is exactly what I wanted to find for my big day! Cheek to Cheek is amazing and I wouldn't have wanted to hire anyone else for my wedding day. My wedding day look was absolutely as perfect as I hoped for thanks to Dana and her team :) Cheek to Cheek is a MUST HIRE! -

Absolutely LOVED working with Dana for my wedding! I am exceptionally picky about my hair and makeup, and tend to be the girl in the bathroom redoing it my way after a service...but with Dana I absolutely LOVED how I looked and felt. I highly recommend starting with a trial because it really helped us to get on the same page about my goals and preferences. We had a few minor tweaks for the big day, and Dana came with extensive notes and photos from the trial and was ready to make me look my most beautiful. I highly recommend her and her team and would love to work with them again! -

Although they can be a tad bit more expensive than other companies, they are ABSOLUTELY worth it. They made me and my bridal party feel so comfortable and special on the big day. I went to their studio for a trial which was convenient and highly recommended. Emerald did my makeup on my wedding day and she did a great job. I would definitely use them again in the future for events, family photos, etc. One of my bridesmaids is a TV producer who is very familiar with the hair and makeup industry and she kept commenting on how great of a job they did. -

Absolutely loved working with Cheek to Cheek! Julie did my hair and makeup and she was such a pleasure to work with, both at my trial and on my wedding day. They were able to work with us to ensure hair and makeup services for 13 people in just 4 hours and it was executed perfectly. One of my bridesmaids said it was the best hair and makeup she has ever seen for a wedding. Thank you Cheek to Cheek! I highly recommend hiring them! -

From the moment I reached out to Cheek to Cheek, I knew that they were highly recommended for a reason. They are incredibly kind, thoughtful and helpful- even over email. Samantha always answered my emails and this was very helpful as an out of state bride!
Even when we had to cancel my trial due to fires in CA, I was so at ease because of their professionalism and reputation that I knew I could count on them.
Emerald and Isabella were sincerely fantastic, kind, fun and intuitive. They did a wonderful job on all of my gals that got ready with me and brought my own vision for my look to life perfectly.
I would hire them again and again! -

Our wedding day was definitely one that we will forever look back upon and tell our children and grandchildren about for generations to come. The #WoosleyFire broke out in the eve of our wedding and, come Friday morning, it had completely engulfed our beautiful city and local communities in flames and despair. On Friday morning, day of the wedding, you could imagine how chaotic it was for me and my husband to process what was going on, let alone to figure out how to salvage our ceremony and reception plans due to mandatory evacuations all throughout East Ventura County cities.
Early Friday morning, I received a call from Dana informing me that she and Julie would be there for me, as scheduled, to fulfill the hair and makeup services we had scheduled months ago. I was in disbelief- they were so punctual and empathetic throughout the entire appointment, they really helped me feel calm and I actually was able to enjoy myself, even if just for a couple of hours. I want to deeply thank and acknowledge Cheek to Cheek Artistry for doing EVERYTHING they could to make sure I was still able to look beautiful and timeless on my wedding day.
You will forever be remembered in our wedding story for generations to come.

I could not be happier with the Cheek to Cheek team! I'm pretty particular about my hair and makeup so I was nervous about getting it done for my wedding, but Julie and her team took the time to understand what I wanted and did an AMAZING job!!
I definitely recommend doing a hair & makeup trial beforehand (we did mine on the same day as our engagement shoot). Julie was even nice enough to travel up to Santa Barbara and come to my parents house! She used top-notch products for my makeup (the airbrushing and individual lashes are game changers) and created the perfect hairstyle for my engagement photos. She also took photos of both and had them handy on my wedding day so she could replicate them exactly.
Not only are the Cheek to Cheek artists insanely talented - they're also a calming presence on the morning of your wedding. It was so nice to have them in the bridal suite with us, and Julie completely calmed my nerves as I was getting ready. My bridesmaids and mom also looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and the makeup across all artists was similar in style so we had consistency across the entire group (which doesn't always happen when you're all getting your makeup done by different artists).
I couldn't be happier with Cheek to Cheek and would 100% recommend them to all of the brides!! -

I had some “hic-ups” in getting something booked for hair and make up on my wedding day and Cheek to Cheek saved the day! I’m not local and had the utmost confidence in them due to the way they run their business! Thank you Julie and Dana- Robyn was prompt, professional, talented and a true joy on such a special day.

Aimee Sent on 07/17/2018I couldn't possibly rave about Dana and her team enough!! Dana was one of my favorite people to talk to on my entire wedding day!! When it comes to her expertise with hair and makeup, I couldn't imagine any human being that could possibly be better than her! She listened to all of my visions for my look and made them come to life PERFECTLY. I have never looked and felt SO beautiful in my entire life!!
Dana is much more than just a hair and makeup artist. She is unbelievably kind and friendly and by the end of a few hours, a friend. From the first time I met Dana at my hair trial to our actual wedding day she was always SUCH a sweetheart! When it comes to wedding nerves, Dana was one of the only people I felt totally and completely comfortable talking to and sharing what I was actually feeling. She was real, friendly and comforting and I loved being able to talk to her all morning!! She set the stage for my entire wedding day, mentally and physically!
I am already planning all the next events that I can hire her again! Holiday photos, pregnancy announcements, pregnancy photos, baby photos.. just for fun?! I JUST CAN'T WAIT!
BEST DECISION EVER! Dana, when I say this, I speak on behalf of the entire bridal party. We love you SO much!

Chelsea Sent on 11/16/2017Gosh! I could go on and on about raving about the girls from Cheek to Cheek! I booked them for my wedding this past November. Earlier in the year I had my trial and that's when I knew I was going to be taken care of and would have no worries in the world when it came to by big day! First of all, their studio in Westlake is so cute and bright. Just being there already gives you all the feels! Julie was my lead artist and I instantly fell in love with her. Not a second went by where we weren't chatting and laughing and I immediately felt like I had known her for years. My hair and makeup trial came out PERFECT, and I knew my wedding day was going to be the best day ever and I was that much more excited. This is important, because almost every girl is nervous to have their hair and makeup done in fear that they are going to hate it. But I could never see that happening with Cheek to Cheek. Everything I told them I wanted, they nailed it on the trial. When my wedding day came, the team of girls showed up at my house at the butt crack of down not a minute late and we were all on our way to getting dolled up for the big day. The whole team was SO cute!! Julie was there and I also got to meet Samantha and Emerald! I could rave about them all day. We laughed we smiled and we all looked so gorgeous. I didn't think I could feel better than the day I got my trail, but I felt EVEN more beautiful on my wedding day and so did my girls. My main thing is that all the girls of Cheek to Cheek made us feel like friends rather than clients, and that makes all the difference on the day you're getting ready for you wedding. I hope to work with Cheek to Cheek in the future! I've already referred them to my friends who are getting married next year! Cheers!

I had a wonderful experience with Samantha. My mother and mother-in-law both looked and felt flawless with their beautiful make-up and hair. As the bride, I also felt incredibly beautiful, and my hair and makeup looked great throughout the event. I was nervous about getting my hair and makeup done because I have trichotillomania, and haven't always gotten the best response from that, but Samantha didn't even mention it, and made me feel very comfortable. They were responsive to any ideas and changes as well, and a joy to work with. -
