Charlie is amazing! He was very easy to work with, very sweet and worked hard to get everything we wanted on video. I was a little hesitant because everyone says you get what you pay for but in this case we got way more than we expected, high quality service and attention to detail. Charlie Walkrich was an amazing DJ who saw my vision and was able to run with it!! He was even able to work in a performance for my 7 year old son. We were working on a strict budget but there was nothing cheap about the experience he provided!! Everyone that attend our wedding has an amazing time thanks to Charlie!!! WORDS cannot describe how grateful I am to Charlie for everything he did for us on our wedding day!!! We hired his services as a videographer for our September 2017 wedding; we booked the most basic package and indicated that we already had a great photographer and literally only needed a camera to be set up on a tripod to record but didn't need anything fancy. Charlie communicated clearly, directly, and with so much detail and professionalism every time I emailed back and forth with him; he is a true businessman! A few days before the wedding, Charlie emailed us to inform us that he would be there personally, which was exciting! Not only was he there on time and prepared on our wedding day, but he also brought an extra assistant and extra camera with him in the name of fabulous customer service! From the moment we saw him there that day, we noticed that he was always smiling and was a warm person to be around; he also never stopped moving, making sure the cameras were always in the right area and were capturing the moments he wanted them to. Charlie was flexible and didn't panic when we were unable to answer questions on the day of during events or and knew what to do as we moved around our venue constantly. He pulled us aside momentarily to record some special moments in which we spoke directly into the camera which was really special. :) Even though we went 7 minutes over time, Charlie agreed to stay and did not charge us more because of his belief in GREAT customer service. Even though he insisted that we shouldn't worry about the 7 minutes, we chose to compensate him for this time and tip as much as we possibly could because he truly went over the top to provide us with a wonderful experience!
We are no videographers, but we paid for the "dirt cheap" package and we definitely got much more than what we paid for. Charlie and his assistant captured precious moments for us that went above and beyond just setting a camera up on a tripod and walking away.

We are so happy we chose Charlie Walkrich and his company for our wedding in May 2017! Charlie was our DJ/MC, he provided the jazz trio for our cocktail hour and also the videographer. Charlie was reliable, responsive and dependable. He was very much detail oriented, and gave us suggestions when we requested them while we were creating the timeline for the evening. That timeline that he helped us create was an important part in making sure our wedding flowed beautifully from one function to the next while we just enjoyed the evening.

The videos that Charlie created are absolutely amazing - it is so much fun to relive these beautiful moments. His ability to edit many hours of raw footage into a loving keepsake is truly a wonderful skill he has, and means so much to us and our loved ones.

Several of our guests said that our wedding was one of the best they had ever attended, and Charlie is one of the main reasons for that compliment!

I can't thank Charlie and his staff enough!! Exceeded expectations and always went above and beyond for us. Gave me suggestions throughout the whole process and helped hold me together when my outside wedding had to be moved indoors. He would do anything he wanted me to INCLUDE shooting video in the rain. He reassured me to follow my heart, which lead me to make the decision to go indoors on the 1st day raining in San Diego in 2 months! What could have been a complete disaster turned into something magical and glad I had someone who understood what I was going through. The end product was spectacular! Glad I made the choice to go with "Cheap Wedding Videography" and I will be recommending his services to anyone needing them! We’re very glad that we retained Dirt Cheap Wedding Videography for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at Paradise Point. Charlie’s communication and responsiveness were excellent - the best of all our vendors. He worked within our budget and graciously added a third camera for us at no charge. Not to mention, the videographer showed up early and stayed a handful of minutes late. We received our thumb drive with our video footage within a week of our wedding which was absolutely fantastic and much appreciated. The footage was very clear. I am the owner and operator of Elements of Style and a Wedding Coordinator, Florist, and Officiant. I have used Charlie Walrick on some of my weddings for lighting and sound. He is awesome as he does his very best to accommodate all of his clients in exactly what they need! His attendant, was Andrey and he was so helpful to me as a Coordinator. Together we did the ceremony music, helprd our couple's Master of Ceremonies with his timing of speeches and Andrey stayed right there the entire time to see that all the music was correct and executed perfectly for the bride and grooms playlist! It was a perfect day and I can honestly say it would not have gone as smooth and easy without Charlie's service, excellent equipment, and of course, Andrey!

We are super happy we decided to get videography for our event, and Charlie and his company were the right choice for us. Charlie offers multiple services and we decided on the basic package. Charlie is very professional and responds to emails very quickly and sends reminders the week before the event when things get hectic. Our videographer was Millie and she did an outstanding job capturing great images and videos of the ceremony, the reception and interviews with our guests. We are so glad we have video of the event we spent a year planning. Much gratitude to Charlie and Millie!!

So happy we hired Charlie's company to video our daughter's wedding. As others say, he is professional, helpful and very responsive. We've watched the videos over and over and love them (3 different camera angles really made the ceremony coverage Awesome - saw groom's expressions, bride's expressions, etc.). Our videographer for the wedding was Millie, she did a great job and you didn't even know she was there, but she captured all the important events and special groupings of people, she was very intuitive as to what to capture -- got great footage - we honestly could not have asked for better!!!

We hired Golden Gate Sunrise Entertainment (Dirt Cheap Wedding Photography) to do the video for our daughter's wedding. Alex was the videographer and he did a wonderful job. Alex arrived early, set up his cameras and took video of all major parts of the day. He was practically invisible and took great videos. The company was transparent and the quote they give you is what you pay. Charlie, the owner, is very responsive in answering all questions very quickly. We highly recommend them. You can't go wrong in choosing them if you want someone who is a responsible, reliable and honest vendor.

My husband and I chose this company to do the videography and photography for our wedding. We would absolutely recommend Charlie’s company to anyone looking for affordable, professional, high quality videography and photography. Charlie made the entire process flow very smoothly leading up to our big day—as well as the day of; which was a tremendous help because it allowed us focus on other stressful aspects. Honestly I don’t know where to begin. The quality of service that Charlie provided us from the very beginning was superior. We always received prompt responses to our messages and his thoroughness on every detail was circumstantial and helped me have a better visual of how I wanted our wedding to unfold the day of. He had more questions for us which shows you how much he cares in making your special day as perfect as he can possibly make it. He also met our every request even when he advised otherwise and I thank him for that. His timing and transition of our ceremony songs was seamless and right on time. His accomplished MC skills throughout the reception created the perfect ambiance and synergy with our guests. Most importantly, Charlie’s kind professional character and humbleness is apparent upon meeting him and his interactions. A super kind individual and very respectful. “You get what you pay for” is not the case with this vendor. Additional services were given at a discount and we signed him on to be in charge of videography as well. We received our video the following week and enjoyed every minute of it. As you can see Charlie superseded our expectations PLUS, he charged us half the price of all other vendors we had looked into. Too good to be true but he is! THANK YOU CHARLIE!!!!!

We highly recommend Roman / Dj Charlie Walkrich.
We were very happy with Roman aka DJ Walkrich for our wedding videography! Our wedding took place on Jan 2014, at Tom Ham's Lighthouse, San Diego. Initially we were only planning to get video for our ceremony, but are very happy that we got video for the entire event! From the very first video samples we noticed Roma's attention to detail (we designed and produced our own wedding, so we would know all the details ), and high quality throughout the video capture.

After the wedding we received our first video samples, and we were like "Wow! He got that on video, that looks great! We wouldn't even think about that!". Roman showed us our wedding from the point of view of other guests, and we re-lived our wedding from his point of view many times. In addition to all the standard wedding events such as ceremony, bouquet toss, cake cutting, toasts, etc we got to see many things that we would've never been able to see, because as bride and groom you only have so much time during the wedding. We are still re-living our wedding watching the videos.

We also went with Roman's company for the video editing. Needless to say, because there was so much great material to begin with, he did a great job on the more condensed versions as well.

We just used Charlie Walkrich to video our December 27th wedding. Videography was a last minute decision on our part, but Charlie made the process very easy and stress-free. I contacted him through his company's website, and I received an email back from him the same day. Every communication going forward was answered within a few hours! I really appreciated the responsiveness. We had three cameras to capture all of the special moments of our wedding. Charlie made sure to ask me before he started if there was anything is particular that we wanted to capture, and he got everything that I asked for. We received the finished product a week after our wedding and were very happy!!!

I would highly recommend Charlie and his team. Charlie is patient, kind, and very professional. If you want a video of your important day, but don't have thousands of dollars to spend, this is definitely the way to go.

We hired Charlie's company "Cheap Wedding Videography" to record our wedding because of the inexpensive price and positive reviews. We were very pleased with final product Milagro did an amazing job catching some very special moments. I still love watching it over and over. Charlie and David did an amazing job at our wedding! We weren't sure if we would be able to get a videographer and cut it down to the wire. They were available on very short notice..a week in advance kind of short notice! And were very affordable and great people. CHARLIE IS INCREDIBLE!! I almost don't even know where to start. When I read through his website (which so conveniently included prices rather making you get a quote), I was shocked at the prices and different options. I actually thought that it might be a hoax because it was too good to be true. Reading about his service and given the name of his company, I just expected low quality since he stressed that it was a different kind of camera that he used. At that time as well he only had one or two videos up on his website so I wasn't too sure what to expect but I set my expectations low. Boy was I BLOWN away!! He was extremely thorough in every email he sent and he didn't skip a beat. I had some last minute changes and he was right on top of it..he'd literally respond within a 3 minutes after I sent the email. He turned out to be my absolute favorite vendor with communication!.. He captured all of the crucial events from a ton of different angles and then, most importantly, he gave us ALL the footage THAT NIGHT!!! We woke up the next day and could literally relive the wedding from 3 different camera angles!! It was incredible!! He had my highlight real done TWO days later! For someone who does 5 different services and with his company doing about 10 services a week, I have NO idea how he did it!! and then on top of that, he would STILL email back within 5 minutes of me emailing him..Then there was one clip i needed swapped out and he did it immediately, no questions asked and i had the new video within in a couple hours!! I am still just in awe of this man. Hiring Charlie was the best decision I ever made for our wedding.. Videography is the way to go because you can relive your wedding as often as you want!!! My highlight real is incredible and everything we wanted..his special effects were awesome and it wasn't the typical cheesy wedding video either!! I will treasure all of the footage and the highlight real for the rest of my life!!! Thanks Charlie!!!

Beautiful videos we will cherish forever!

We couldn't be happier with our decision to hire Charlie to do our wedding video! We had already invested a small fortune on our wedding and were looking for a reasonably priced videographer. When I found this business on Yelp I thought his prices were too good to be true and I was definitely mistaken.

Our Trailer video (4 min with our selected song), Ceremony and Reception videos were amazing! The best part was we also received all the unedited raw footage from all the cameras throughout the ceremony and reception. I would highly recommend adding on extra mounted cameras for the continuous raw footage.

From the beginning he clearly went through everything with us and asked us questions to ensure we captured what we wanted for our day. His responses were very prompt and accommodating.

I didn't realize until after the wedding how happy we were that we chose to do video to capture our special day we spent a small fortune on. We couldn't stop watching the videos. The only thing we didn't like was on the end of the videos was the advertisement. The resolution of the video is not 1080p but 720p HD but it still looks great, especially when you're paying half the normal cost.

My wife and I would highly recommend Charlie to be your wedding videographer. Our wedding was at Founders Chapel at University of San Diego and the reception at Paradise Point. We were on the fence regarding hiring a videographer because we did not have the budget for this service. We actually Googled "Cheap Wedding Videographer San Diego" and Charlie was the result. We decided to give him a chance and it was one of the best decisions that we made.
We reserved Charlie a month in advance and the process was seamless. We never met Charlie prior to the wedding but he was easily accessible via email and always responded to our inquiries within a few hours. One thing that we most appreciated was that in the sign up process, Charlie asked if he or the photographer were to be the primary vendor. Our photographer was the primary. Knowing this, Charlie did an amazing job of capturing all the moments without interfering with the photographer. Our wedding was a Catholic mass and Charlie filmed the entire service. This was his first Catholic wedding. When he was editing our video he contacted me to let me know that he was not familiar with the service and did not know what the most important parts were to be captured in our ceremony video. He provided multiple suggestions to make sure we got what we wanted and in the end, we changed our initial request and selected a four minute video summary of the service and reception to a song of our choice. It was very well done and all friends and family said "we really hired people that knew what they were doing."
Charlie only has a few recommendations. Do not be concerned by this. He is building his business and that is a bonus for you. He is trying to prove himself and he will deliver. He is professional and genuinely cares about the quality of work and enjoyed being a part of our day. I really appreciated the gentlemen (Nathan and Caleb) that were sent to videotape my daughter's Quinceanera. They were very patient with the delays, friendly, professional, and concerned about meeting our needs. They really helped with keeping things calm as everything seemed to speed along. Awesome job.

I'm not sure where to even begin but I, we cant give Charlie enough praise! He was quick to reply when I was inquiring about information regarding his videography services. We live in LA but planned a wedding for November in San Diego, so needless to say it was a bit of work having to hire most of our vendors through phone calls. Charlie made this process so easy and put all our worries to rest when he arrived early and ready for our big day. Do not let his gentle demeanor fool you, he is brilliant at what he does and knows exactly what you want without even having to tell him. With all the chaos that comes with the wedding day, he was a ray of stress free sunshine! I found DJ Charlie Cheap Wedding Videography on yelp. The name caught my attention "Cheap". I was looking for someone affordable and competitive, but with quality. I checked other companies, their websites/videos & read the reviews.

After my research, I messaged Charlie. Here's where Charlie really caught my attention & in a short time, won me over. I had many questions. In each email we exchanged, he quickly responded, always very professional and polite and made me feel comfortable asking as much as I needed before my choice. I put a lot of info into my messages (clearly) and he pulled out everything I was asking about and in detail, responded. He would also ask me questions that would help him understand what my vision was and give me an idea of what having extra cameras or another person would mean.

Once I mailed my contract, deposit & payments, he'd confirm receipt & provide an updated contract. He asked for my other professional's info for the event so he could coordinate. On the big day, they showed up on time at our hotel for pre wedding video of wedding party getting ready. The wedding was a whirlwind day, I hardly noticed them working.. It wasn't until I got our videos back and I could see what all his work turned out to be. I viewed the trailer from my phone w/friends & everyone loved it. Even my husband commented how happy he was with our selection.

Other videographers were very expensive...DJ Charlie's pricing was just better, the videos are beautiful!! They captured all the important moments and more. I was able to upgrade to have an add'l videographer & camera (to get more angles/footage). I had my trailer in just a few days & my ceremony & reception back in just over a week. He worked on them July 4th! Wow! I didn't expect them back that fast! I don't know about everyone else, but I often feel like customer service is hard to find. With DJ Charlie, we got outstanding customer service. Thank you DJ Charlie!!

From our first conversation over the phone to post wedding, he was there for us in every way possible. Charlie takes great pride in his work and will not settle for a sub par performance. We had a church wedding with an outdoor reception (Southern Theme). He arranged for a very talented pianist to play at our church and the most amazing jazz band trio to play during our dinner. He then started the party with his amazing DJ skills and kept everyone on their feet the entire time. He also MC'd the reception and did all of our lighting. He turned our outdoor reception into a beautiful and lively venue! The lighting was absolutely stunning. I. MEAN. STUNNING! His company also did our videography. We opted for the raw footage vs. the edited version and the quality of video was splendid, the shots were beautiful and they didn't miss a thing! My entire wedding day was captured perfectly and the without him I would have gone crazy and not have had the perfect wedding that I did. Like I said, I cannot say enough good things about him. Very professional. Very on point and very exceptional! A few months later we booked him again for our daughter's 15th birthday/quincenera for this July 2014 with edited videography, DJ services, lighting and all the magic that is Charlie. Charlie will take of you, his prices are reasonable and he made a lifetime client out of us. AFTER the events we recieved an amazing trailer and a high quality video to cherish the memories, he captured everything! If your budget allows, use him for everything, video, lighting and dj services.

We hired Charlie for our wedding videography and we couldn't be happier! One of the best decisions we made and now we have beautiful videos that we will cherish forever and ever! Working with Charlie was a pleasure, he was very quick, thorough, and professional!

Hiring Charlie Walkrich to do the lighting for our wedding was just someone we needed. He also took the time to review different lightning with us to help us decide what we wanted for our wedding. It was very helpful since we didn't know anything about this! Also, he is very reliable in responding to emails. I would hire him again.

We used DJ Charlie for our wedding video and could not be happier! Just two weeks before the wedding I realized we may regret if we don't get a videographer...but by that point, our budget was pretty blown. Well DJ Charlie to the rescue, his services are affordable and we were SO happy with the end product. He is so polite and professional and you can tell he put so much time and effort to make our video absolutely perfect. 5 stars and I'd give him more if I could!

DJ Charlie is AWESOME!! I found him at the SD Bridal Bazaar and feel so lucky/thankful that I did! He was an absolute pleasure to work with. My husband and I met with him several times prior to our wedding to ensure that we were on the same page; these meetings were always suggested by him, he wanted to make sure that he knew exactly what we wanted. He always made us feel like a priority and never like "just another wedding". He was professional, knowledgeable and always happy! Not only was he an amazing DJ (he played the right type of music to keep the dance floor full all night) but he also provided us with an incredible live band, Tough Times Trio, who did an outstanding job (played during dinner) and were also a huge hit with our wedding guests! DJ Charlie also provided the "up-lighting" for our reception which was beautiful and really added to our party! I can't say enough good things about DJ Charlie, he is passionate about what he does and it shows. I would definitely recommend him :)

Charlie is one of the most professional, courteous DJ''s I have ever had the pleasure to work with. After going back on forth with my husband if we were going to get a DJ or not for our wedding we decided to take the plunge. Charlie showed up on time to every appointment we had and was patient with us going over our timeline and music choices. Our DJ Chase and videoographer Milagro did an amazing job on the day of our wedding setting everything up to the specifications that we requested. We received so many compliments on our DJ all night! Something every bride and groom wants to hear. We are so grateful we found Charlie and his crew. They truly made it a night we will never never forget!

DJ Charlie was professional and quick to respond throughout the whole wedding planning process. I was immediately impressed with how detailed he is and ready to share information that helped me make the right decisions for our wedding. He was so flexible and willing to use what every music selections I preferred. In addition, knowing that I was interested in videography but not able to pay a lot, DJ Charlie offered a basic video package that worked great for our event. We got the uncut video to use as we like.
All in all, the music and the video were exactly what we wanted. Thanks Charlie!!

The quality of services is definitely excellent but the price is a bit too high. I paid over $1000 for a DJ and lighting and I thought it was a bit too much. Charlie definitely met all of my expectations and did a very good job. I recommend him to everyone who can afford it!

Charlie was the dj at my wedding reception. I really enjoyed working with him and i think he is very personal and professional at what he does. I got a live pianist for my cocktail hour, live jazz trio for my dinner, up lighting and a gobo monogram. All was provided by Charlie while he was coordinating, djing and making announcements. All of my guests were very happy with all the music and thought the entrainment was awesome! Thank you, Charlie and i look forward to seeing you at my friend`s wedding this summer!

I hired Charlie to DJ my wedding and he also took care of up lighting and dance floor lighting. I chose him for many reasons, but one of the main ones was that his packages included unlimited time of his DJ service, which somewhat reduced the cost of my long 9-hour wedding. Charlie took care of all of our needs and he definitely knows what he’s doing. He played all the songs we wanted to hear and kept everyone happy and dancing! I definitely recommend him to anyone who’s looking for an experienced and reasonably priced disc jockey.

DJ Charlie was the DJ at my wedding in December 2012. Having met with five different DJs, I picked DJ Charlie simply because he was very attentive and seemed to be the best qualified person for the job. During our meetings, Instead of trying to sell his services and telling us how good he was, he tried to help us with planning our wedding by clearly answering all of our questions and giving us the information we needed. We ended up with the “Red Diamond” package, which included all of his services and for many guests our wedding turned out to be the most luxurious one they’ve even seen. We had a pianist for our ceremony, a jazz trio for our cocktail hour, and a DJ, an MC and a saxophonist for our reception – all provided by DJ Charlie. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like and I can’t stress enough how happy I, my husband and all of our guests were with his services. Some of my friends have already asked me for his phone number and all I can say at this point is keep up the good work, Charlie!

DJ Charlie can really read the crowd and knows how to start & keep the fun going. The most important thing to me, though, is that he knew that it was our day and he made sure every little thing was just how we wanted it. Charlie took extra care to get all the complete information, proper names with correct pronunciation and what songs were on the “Definitely play” list, and what songs were on the “Do not play no matter how many people ask for it” list. He also made sure to provide all the songs we wanted. We are very grateful for the job Charlie did, but even more, for the way he did it.

Charlie Walkrich was the DJ at my wedding in August, and he was *excellent*! My husband and I wanted some music that is outside the norm for typical weddings (i.e. hard rock). Charlie was able to blend in our favorites while still pleasing the entire crowd. He really took our musical tastes into account. We had asked for an extremely out-of-the ordinary song to be introduced to, and even though he didn't have it in his musical collection, he was able to get it for the wedding. We also had a few songs on our "don't play" list, and he stood firm on not playing them even with many requests (and even with a proposed $20 bribe from my sister!!). We had many compliments on how great the DJ was, and how well the music fit the tastes and personalities of me and my husband. Thank you, Charlie!!!

I hired them for sound equipment, a lighting package, and videography for our wedding in San Diego County and was very happy with the results. Charlie was quick to respond to emails, which helped because I was planning from across the world! The prices for their packages are reasonable, and the staff were punctual and helpful about setting up and tearing down. We used our own DJ, who flew in from Canada for the event, and this was a great option to have the equipment he needed all set up and functional. The lights looked great and made the banquet hall look much fancier than normal. The videography was a good deal for such a low price, as we got the raw package and just wanted to have the whole ceremony and key parts of the reception to save and edit on our own.

Beautiful videos we will cherish forever!

We couldn't be happier with our decision to hire Charlie to do our wedding video! We had already invested a small fortune on our wedding and were looking for a reasonably priced videographer. When I found this business on Yelp I thought his prices were too good to be true and I was definitely mistaken.

Our Trailer video (4 min with our selected song), Ceremony and Reception video were amazing! The best part we also received all the unedited raw footage from all the cameras throughout the ceremony and reception. I would highly recommend adding on extra mounted cameras for the continuous raw footage.

From the beginning he clearly went through everything with us and asked us questions to ensure we captured what we wanted for our day. His responses were very prompt and accommodating.

I didn’t realize until after the wedding how happy we were that we chose to do video to capture our special day we spent a small fortune on. We couldn't stop watching the videos. The only thing we didn't like was on the end of the videos was the advertisement. The resolution of the video is not 1080p but 720p HD but it still looks great, especially when you’re paying half the normal cost.
