The perfect location for a wedding or special event!

My husband and I got married at the Chart House in October with our family and closest, dearest friends. Our guest list was 58 people and the reception space fit everyone comfortably. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to host our big day. Amy, the event coordinator quickly responded to emails and phone calls and was a complete joy to work. Her staff is also wonderful and made our wedding day run smoothly from start to finish! Our ceremony and cocktail hour were outside on the grass until an unexpected snowstorm hit. It made for the most fun, magical celebration! We moved inside for the reception where we hosted a seated, plated dinner. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed their meal. A fully stocked bar with a bartender was located outside on the lawn which free'd up a ton of space in the banquet room. We couldn't recommend the Chart House enough for your wedding!

Beautiful late summer wedding

We had a wonderful experience with Chart House and Whitney did such a great job for us. The venue is beautiful and the food was fantastic. Our guests had a great time and it was perfect for our party of about 40 with plenty of room to spare

This venue is beautiful, we had 53 guests and it was the perfect size! The planning that went into it was so simple because of the restaurant also catering the event! It was the most affordable wedding, but looked and felt expensive! Would recommend over and over!

Whitney was dream to work with. She was very attentive and quick to respond to my emails. The banquet room on the lower level was lovely with floor to ceiling windows and great views. The service and food was wonderful!

We are so glad we decided to have our wedding reception dinner at Chart House! The food and ambiance were wonderful, staff were friendly and professional and everyone had a great time. So glad we went with Chart House, since there are a lot of choices in Tahoe. The price for everything was reasonable, and they were flexible with letting us come and decorate the room before. Would definitely recommend to any future bride looking for a place to have their wedding reception dinner.

Our rehearsal dinner at Chart House was perfect, from location, beautiful picture window, set up, food, buffet layout and especially the professionalism from Whitney Gielow and staff. This staff was remarkable and constantly serving their guest. I would definitely use Chart House again in Lake Tahoe, as they were very accommodating.

Our wedding at the chart house was perfect! Whitney was great to work with throughout the whole planning process. We had a curve ball when we experienced a downpour immediately after our ceremony. Whitney and her staff handled it no problem and the rest of the night wen off without a hitch! The service was great, our guests raved about the food. We could not have asked for a better place to have our wedding.

Whitney Gielow at Chart House Stateline was AMAZING!!!! She was my favorite vendor by far because not only was she attentive, patient, positive, and detailed over the phone and email, she was exactly the same in person... and I had A LOT of very detailed questions! I had a destination wedding in Tahoe (I live in Texas) and had my reception at Chart House, so when I got in town a few days before the wedding, Whitney met me at the restaurant before they opened to let my husband, MOH, and I test the projector, music, timing, arrange tables and décor, and talk logistics. She was flexible and very easy to work with. She greeted us as soon as we arrived to Chart House for the reception so my husband and I could be announced and immediately asked if we would like a drink before we even walk in. Once we entered and did our first dance, she was right there with our drinks in hand. She worked our event the entire time and was very attentive to my husband and me, always making sure we were first to be served our food and drinks (our guests raved about the food); she even remembered my request to have a white napkin, if possible, so I didn't get black lint on my dress (since all their napkins are black). In addition, my husband wanted to serve Moscow Mules as our signature drink, so she ordered enough copper mugs to serve our whole party! At the end of the night, the bill was exactly what we had previously agreed upon; there were no extra charges so I was very pleased with that! She even washed out the vases that the florist included so I could take them home and helped us load the car. My guests were very complimentary of Whitney, and she gave me peace of mind from the moment I met her because I knew I wouldn't have to worry about anything at the reception. Peace of mind on your wedding day is priceless!!! I highly recommend holding an event at Chart House Stateline and planning it with Whitney!

We had an amazing wedding at The Chart House in Tahoe. The atmosphere was incredible and the food was amazing. Whitney made everything easy and took care of everything on the day of. It was a hassle free experience for me. I would definitely recommend this venue. The pictures look gorgeous. It was a magical day.

Whitney and staff were amazing at our event. I was told by numerous of myguests that their drinks were always full and the wait staff was always on-point with making sure everyone was happy re: food/drink/etc. Food and beverage was fantastic. We also really enjoyed the event location and private room downstairs. The lawn outside is also very nice for sunset/evening photos.

Prompt and clear communication throughout the planning process. The event was well staffed and attentive. Food and atmosphere perfect for rehearsal dinner.

Whitney and the entire team at the Chart House were unbelievably professional, overly accommodating and attentive to every single detail of our wedding. Whitney is a pro! She handled everything from providing sample floor plans, coordinating timing of the entire wedding with the DJ and other vendors and made sure my glass was full the entire night. What else could a girl ask for. Our 75 guests were blown away by the gorgeous venue, the food and how smooth everything ran. My only regret is that I can't do it over again.

Chart House was exceptional and we highly recommend this place. The private banquet room space and atmosphere was perfect for our wedding reception. We are from out of town and planning our wedding reception at Chart House -Stateline was a breeze thanks to their catering sales manager, Whitney Gielow. She was very responsive to emails, was easy to work with, and was flexible with requests/needs. The food and service were top notch and we cannot say enough about our positive experience. We also received comments from our guests that the food was delicious and they had a great time. Thank you again Whitney and the staff for the wonderful service...everything went smoothly and it was definitely a fine-dining experience for all of us!

The Chart House was an amazing venue. Whitney was very helpful and the staff was wonderful. The day was above and beyond my expectations. Whitney was very accommodating and very professional. I was confident that things would be done the way I wanted. Great food and atmosphere.

We hosted our son's rehearsal dinner at the Chart House and were delighted with the venue, the service and the food. When looking for a venue, the two locations that we looked into before the Chart House had very high minimums that did not work for our small (28 people) party. The Chart House does not require a minimum and of all the places that we considered was by far the best place to host a rehearsal dinner. The event room is located downstairs, separate from the restaurant. There is a large grassy area outside with a fabulous view of the lake which allowed a place for the kids to play and the adults to enjoy their cocktails before dinner. Whitney was fabulous, setting our dinner up and personally serving the event. We went with the buffet and chose individual appetizers and everything was delicious! Thank you!!!

WOW the view was so lovely and it was just a perfect day. We had to make some changes and the staff was terrific. The food was so wonderful from the taste to the presentation. They really made our wedding something to remember and special. Our wedding coordinator Whitney was just great! I can not say enough - but whatever the occasion may be I highly recommend The Chart house in Lake Tahoe.

Everything was very well done. Great service, delicious food, easy planning. Terrific venue with an outdoor grass area offering a beautiful view of Lake Tahoe.

This place has always been our favorite Tahoe restaurant, so to have our wedding reception there was a no brainier! The food was and has always been amazing! Whitney is there event coordinator and she was great to work with! She was always quick to respond, set up meetings, and had no problem talking through ideas and selections with me! I don't only recommend this place for your reception, but also just for a date night!

Best food ever...all my guests were very impressed with the services they received from the staff as well as the food provided. Whitney really made the event easy and enjoyable for us...from the first call to schedule the room to decorating and the whole evening. We were even surprised to see her serving us too.

Whitney and the staff at the Chart house made my wedding experience exceed expectations! The setup, service, site maintenance, food, and flexibility in allowing a next day take down were above and beyond! The Chart House will always have a special place in our hearts, and I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an intimate wedding.

Just What We Wanted

The Chart House is a very elegant venue and we were extremely pleased at how our reception turned out. Whitney was great to work with. She answered all our questions and helped us make the day exactly what we wanted. Our guests couldn’t stop complementing us on the caliber of the food, the wonderful location and the service. We are so happy to have chosen the Chart House to celebrate our wedding reception.

It would be helpful if at the last minute that we would have taken recount of the number of guests, to reduce the cost. We had two that could not make it, but overall our wedding was exciting and exceptional beautiful! The chart house did an outstanding job!

If you prefer a private venue use a banquet space. Our space was beautiful but choppy which made conversation between tables difficult. I found myself bouncing between tables.

We had a wedding reception at the charthouse in the evening (7:30pm). I was a little nervous because our time was later in the evening and we could not set up the space ourselves before the ceremony, but Whitney (the event planner at the charthouse) set everything up for us and it looked absolutely beautiful! We had the bow room, which is really just a private space at the end of the bar, but it was perfect for our smaller group (18 people). The view of the lake was stunning for sunset. The food was delicious and very elegant. The menu and the drink options were very flexible and such a great value; the best of all the places I checked out in Tahoe. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding reception.

We had our rehearsal dinner at The Chart House in Stateline, near South Lake Tahoe. Whitney was very helpful and flexible as our goals were a little off the norm. We had a smaller party, but they offered a private, select menu to help us stay within budget. Beautiful seating - got us a great sunset. The food and service was amazing! We got several compliments on the choice of restaurant. Overall, we're so happy with our choice!!

Thanks for making our wedding magical!

Whitney did a great job at answering every question I had leading up to the wedding and setting up the food we wanted. She and the staff helped the wedding go so smoothly that my husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing, everything flowed seamlessly. I really think she went above and beyond for our wedding day. She even fluffed my dress before I walked down the aisle! Our guests loved the food (especially the salmon). The service was really great, my drink was always full and they packed up the decorations for us which relieved a lot of stress!

We hosted our wedding reception here. The restaurant and views were lovely; the staff was helpful and punctual but discreet and not intrusive. The food we arranged to serve was delicious!

The staff and banquet coordinator, Whitney, went above and beyond to make sure all details were covered for my wedding reception. I felt confident through the whole planning process and was able to thoroughly enjoy our dinner without having to worry about the service provided. The wait staff was incredibly friendly, quick and on top of their game. I highly recommend Chart House Tahoe for any special event!!

Service was great!

I only have two criticisms:

Having to limit myself to three options from a paired down list of 10 items when the Chart House has such an incredible menu really affected the dinner. I felt like we didn't have the true Chart House Experience even though we were at the Chart House! A party of 20-25 should be able to pick from a larger list of options. This is why I gave the lower ratings for value and flexibility.

This is a MINOR point. Perhaps I didn't read the menu close enough but the entrees only came with a protein and a starch. Veggies were really missed. Maybe that is my fault for not reading the small print, but as a first time banquet arranger it would have been nice if someone gave me a heads up and say: Do you want to order any veggies with that?

Overall fantastic experience. Whitney was great to work with and she provided great service.

Holiday from hell

I know this isn't a wedding story but it's a story of how they handled Thanksgiving 2022, and if I were considering them to cater my wedding, I'd want to know.

This was THE WORST Thanksgiving dinner we have EVER had, and that's saying a lot. The turkey looked to be out of a can, creamed spinach looked like something from prison, potatoes were hard, gravy had evaporated because the plates had been sitting under heat lamps, which means they were all pre-made. Salad was soggy, soup was ok. Everything was $69, but nothing was worth it. Plus, they charged extra for sodas and coffee. Who does that?? Desserts were tasteless and filled with sugar. The server was upset she had to be there and made it known. And trays with mounds of half-eaten food littered the middle of the restaurant for all to see (see photo). All in all, it was AWFUL and ruined our holiday. We used to visit here all the time, but we will NEVER be coming back.

If this is how they handled Thanksgiving, I can only imagine it would be worse for a wedding.
