  Great place for family birthday parties

  My sister-in-law was going to be in town for her birthday, so the family thought it would be a great time to gather, since it had been over 2 ½ years since we were able to get together. We had her party at Charley’s Catering Event Center. Everyone was so thrilled with it since we had lots of room and plenty of time to catch up with everyone. Owner and Chef Shirley Williams met with us and helped us design a buffet that our birthday girl, and the rest of the family, would like. They not only liked the food, they loved the food! The Encrusted Beef Sirloin Roast with the Port Wine Demi Glaze and the Gorgonzola Sauce served on the side, was magnificent. The Tri-potato Au Gratin was a big hit with everyone. This was the perfect place for our event and we highly recommend it.

  The food at our wedding was such a hit!

  Let me start by saying YUM! We are so grateful that we got to work with Charley's Catering for our wedding. We did a Country Time Escape buffet and the food was so tasty! I can't tell you how many compliments we got on the food from our guests and so many said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding! I highly recommend adding the mac and cheese to your menu too -- it was my favorite part! Beyond the food being delicious, their team was just the sweetest to work with and took care of every detail too. The display of the food was also beautiful and I also felt like their services were such a great value. I'd definitely recommend their services for your event or wedding!

  Awesome!!!

  Highly recommend Charlies Catering and the whole crew. They all were very professional and personable. Very accommodating to changes we had to make along the way. Arrived on time with quick setup. Heard from so many that attended the event how great the food was. Thanks again for making our event a success.

  Great experience

  This was the best experience from beginning to end. Shirley is knowledgeable and her food and staff were fantastic. We used them for the wedding as well as a large backyard party before the wedding. We had to change our venue due to Covid and Shirley just jumped in and made the whole experience perfect. I will definitely use them again. Book with confidence.

  Shirley and her team are amazing

  Every person we have talked to has mentioned how awesome the food was at the wedding. We are extremely happy with how it turned out. We can’t thank Shirley and her team enough for everything they did and how flexible they were. We had to add quite a few more people getting closer to the date and she was very accommodating. The presentation looked great. Shirley gives you a lot of options where you first have meetings with her and there is a lot to choose from. I would recommend Charleys to anyone looking for great food and service for any kind of event you have.

  Loved loved Charley's Catering!! The food was amazing, displayed beautifully and was the best value! Shirley was great to work with, she is a pro and knows exactly what she's doing. Not only are the reasonably priced but the menu's allow for customization. Shirley offers a huge range of options, styles and prices, which are guaranteed to please your guests. Email communication is easiest for me and Shirley was always prompt to reply. This helped my peace of mind so much since I was planning my wedding from across the state. When my parents and I met with her for our planning session, we left just blow away by her knowledge of food, presentation and ideas on how to make my wedding flow perfectly. The day of the wedding, the staff was professionally dressed and so pleasant to my guests.   Charleys catering were prompt, made delicious food, took care of us, cleaned up promptly, left us the left-overs, met with us multiple times to assure we got what we wanted and needed. They are also very reasonable. We would definately recommend them.

  Shirley can come across a little rough and short in the beginning but she is such a sweet heart once you get to know her. She was always up font and we never felt like we didnt know what to expect. Her food and staff are amazing! She was such a delight the day of our wedding and people are still talking about the food!

  Great Food for Wonderful Value

  Charley's Catering did a great job for our June wedding. They set-up the food beautifully, worked with the venue fabulously, served the desserts which came separately from a separate vendor. They were professional and the food was fabulous. I had multiple guests come up to me and complimented me on the quality of the food. The staff were professional and great to work with.

  I am so happy I used Charley's for our wedding dinner. The food was delicious. Everyone complimented us. Shirley was also extremely helpful in organizing the evening events.   Charley's was a great choice for catering our event. The menu was fresh and delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. Planning our menu was hassle free with help from their very organized staff. They provided an abundance of menu items to pick from and we had many complements from our guests about the delicious food.

  Shirley Williams, owner of Charley's Catering is a four time alumnus of Catersource Conferences, which is a continuing education resource for caterers in the U.S. When looking for a caterer for our wedding I found Charley's Catering was highly recommended. And after attending an open house of their services I hired them. They provide you with many options of a buffet menu. We chose pork & beef, along with salad, potatoes au grautin (so good) a wonderful chilled vegi side & rolls. Less than $20 per plate. Non- alcoholic drinks included. A super good huckleberry lemonade. They also provided employees to carve. And an employee to bartend. Shirley is awesome. She worked with us & our budget that provided us with a very nice dinner buffet. We also added an appetizer of cheese, crackers & fresh fruit. And we were able to include our wild game summer sausage. Shirley also provided small touches that matched the colors in our wedding. The staff that we were provided were so professional & kind that we could not have done better if we were hosting a dinner in our own home. The food was so good & everyone there were happy & full. The presentation of the buffet tables was nothing short of exquisite. I highly recommend Charley's Catering as you are provided good food at a good price with a professional staff that are only too happy to insure that you & your guests are happy. Also if you're in the Spokane area, stop at Charley's bar & grill on Monroe & say "hi" to Miss Shirley.

  I booked with Charley's after attending a wedding they catered. The food was delicious, both at that wedding and ours. We got many compliments on our food. Charley's is by far the best value for catering in spokane! They also set up beautiful buffet tables to serve from (with several options to fit different wedding themes). The 3 caterers at our wedding were very professional and helpful (serving, clearing plates, getting beverages for guests).

When we went to our first meeting, she was double booked with another couple. A couple times when I called or stopped in, she had no memory of who I was. We were supposed to give final head count 2 weeks out and have our balance paid one week out. She was unresponsive to emails and phone calls until less than a week before. She explained that she was so busy with weddings that everything was pushed back but it would all be perfect on our wedding day. She was right, but this did cause a little stress right before the wedding. Just a word of advice - communication leading up to the wedding might be lacking, but it will be worth it in the end :)

  Charley's provided very good value for our money. The food was great. However, working with Shirley was a miserable experience. She said we would get together in February/March and hammer out the details (we got married in August). I had to call her a month before our wedding, and then she asked why nothing had been done. Also, she seems to take great pride in the presentation of the food displays, etc., but she had my mother making ALL the decorations for the food two weeks before the wedding. It was very stressful and unprofessional. I cannot recommend Charley's Catering unless you're willing to put in the time for the value.

  Charley's provided very good value for our money. The food was great. However, working with Shirley was a miserable experience. She said we would get together in February/March and hammer out the details (we got married in August). I had to call her a month before our wedding, and then she asked why nothing had been done. Also, she seems to take great pride in the presentation of the food displays, etc., but she had my mother making ALL the decorations for the food two weeks before the wedding.
