I had a destination wedding up in Charlevoix, and needed a reliable florist.
I contact Lori from Charlevoix Floral for her assistance with corsages and boutonnieres. Through our correspondences, I made it very clear in capital letters, and example of photos that I wanted ivory and light, light pink roses for both the corsages and the boutonnieres.
On the day of the wedding, my dad picked up the corsages and boutonnieres, as I was busy with other things on my wedding day. When I opened the box of corsages and boutonnieres, I was upset to find that the roses in the corsages and grooms boutonniere were YELLOW! Not even close to an ivory color, as I requested. In addition to the flowers being absolutely the wrong color, the boutonnieres were all breaking prior to the ceremony. We had to redo several of them, and some were not fixable!
Obviously, I did not have the time the day of the wedding or the week after the wedding to confront Lori about this. However, my mom did go to the shop to speak with Lori the day after the wedding. Lori was rude, and adamant she used ivory roses and fresh flowers. When I returned from my honeymoon, I tried reaching out to Lori on numerous occasions, and I got no response. I even sent her pictures of the corsages and boutonnieres from the day of the wedding, showing her they were broken and obviously the wrong color!
As a customer, I expected Lori, the florist, to make sure the flowers were accurate according to our previous discussions. I am very disappointed in her lack of judgment and poor business ethics.
