The best officiant!
We found Rev Deb through The Knot, and we were so lucky we did! She took so much time to meet with us on zoom and get to know us personally, and was so personable and kind. She was very communicative throughout the whole process up to and including the wedding. Let me tell you- Rev Deb knows her stuff! I didn’t realize how much goes into officiating a wedding. Originally we had wanted a friend to officiate, but thankfully we didn’t go that route lol. Rev Deb knew the whole process, from start to finish, especially with regards to the marriage license. We had a nondenominational ceremony, but still wanted to incorporate a little bit of faith from both sides (Catholicism/Judaism). She managed to be able to do that without making it a religious ceremony, but still honoring both our families. She’s extremely thorough and meticulous, gives you a lot of different options for things you’d want her to say or speak about during the ceremony, and really tailors the whole thing to you. The day-of can be hectic, and you don’t know until that day how important the role of the officiant is and you really need someone experienced to make the process quick and run smoothly before you walk down the aisle. Once she’s up there speaking she is just a beam of light. My guests loved her, and her delivery of certain jokes and sensitive/personal matters was perfect. She made a very awkward couple so comfortable in front of 150 people staring at us lol. Truly it was a pleasure having her officiate our special day, and I would recommend her to any couple any day. Rev deb!
Reverend Deb was absolutely amazing! We needed a last-minute officiant so we could go to our Italian wedding married! she was so organized and on top of everything from the moment we reached out. She was warm, professional, and made our backyard ceremony feel incredibly special. I especially loved her Reverend attire! it added such a classy, elegant touch. She truly made our day perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better Reverend, and we highly recommend her!

Reverend Debra Viola was such a pleasure to work with! She spent so much time getting to know us and our story and continually worked with us on edits to give us the most personal and perfect ceremony we could ever ask for. We received so many compliments on the way she told our story and the mix of serious moments with humor. She was so supportive of us on the day as well, which was wonderful. We highly recommend! RevDeb is amazing!
RevDeb is truly an incredible person and made our wedding ceremony absolutely perfect. She was actually the first thing I booked after my husband and I got engaged. We attended 2 wedding that she officiated and walked away both times saying, when it is our turn we want to book her. My husband and I had an interfaith wedding and wanted to make sure that our ceremony included small aspects of both religions, but most importantly told our story. Revdeb meets with you as soon as you book her to get to know you as individuals and a couple. The reasons she does this is to create a beautiful story of your relationship to share with your guests. Revdeb made our ceremony so special and intimate, yet funny and enjoyable to be a part of. All of my guests raved about how she led an incredible ceremony and I feel so lucky that we were able to have her as a part of our wedding. I truly cannot say enough about how amazing she was.

When looking for an officiant it was important for my wife and I to feel connected to the person leading the ceremony, as we wanted to entrust our union to someone who was able to portray it accurately. Rev Deb was professional, easy going, and incredibly sweet and collaborative. The process before the ceremony was great, as she made all the edits we requested. Day of, the ceremony was one of my favorite parts, in large part due to Deb. She was well spoken and her words were so beautiful, it was so memorable. So many of my guests came up and RAVED about the ceremony, not just about my wife and I, but about Deb and how beautifully she led the service. I would highly recommend and cannot thank her enough.

Amazing ceremony
Rabbi Sara and Rev. Deb officiated our wedding 1/27/24. I am Jewish and my husband is Christian and Without a doubt the best part of our wedding was our interfaith Ceremony! They truly made it so special and everyone was talking about how incredible the ceremony was and that they’ve never seen anything so personal and beautiful. There was no dry eye in the house! We worked with Rev. Deb and Rabbi Sara for our interdenominational wedding in September 2023 and I genuinely cannot recommend them more. Every single guest has told us it was the best ceremony they have ever been to. From our very first meeting they were warm, comforting, kind, and put us at such ease. They were extremely responsive and worked with us to tailor a ceremony that was absolutely perfect for us. Every guest felt included and honored. It truly was so beautiful. They also made the marriage license process absolutely seamless. Overall, our expectations were far surpassed and we could not be more grateful!

Exactly what we wanted
We are so happy with our decision to hire Reverend Deb to officiate our wedding. This was for a 2nd marriage. We wanted to have a spiritual element to our ceremony but didn't want it to be very long
When we met with Deb via zoom we told her our history together and told her what we were looking for. When she came back with our draft, it was a easy process to tailor the ceremony to our liking. Deb was on time and directed us throughout the ceremony. I would recommend her to anyone

Rev deb is amazing!
We cannot say enough about how happy we are with how our Wedding Ceremony turned out! We had originally planned to have someone we personally know officiate the wedding, and Rev. Deb was going to come separately to hold a small, private ceremony to legally marry us. Our original officiant got sick about three days before the wedding and had to back out. We called Rev. Deb to see if she was available to step in for the ceremony itself. Not only was she available and happy to step in, but she quickly put together a gorgeous speech which she reviewed with us AND incorporated some of our original officiant's messages so it still felt as personal as it was going to. Rev. Deb made us feel very comfortable on the day of our Wedding as well. She is so sweet and speaks from the heart! As a gay couple, we were also beyond thrilled to find an officiant that is so inclusive and who embraced our marriage. You will not be disappointed with Rev. Deb/Ceremonies of the Heart!!

Interfaith ceremony 5/6/23
Rabbi Sara and Rev Deb Viola were both equally amazing ! My husband and I had an interfaith ceremony as my husband is Catholic and I am Jewish. Rabbi Sara and Rev Deb work so well together and knew exactly how to seamlessly blend both of our religions. Communication between all parties was great and always received quick responses, was ready to answer any questions we had even if they were silly. They were both punctual and explained everything to use prior to the ceremony and addressed any additional questions we had. Communication even after the wedding was great ! I highly recommend both Rabbi Sara or Rev Deb for any future event you may have. You will most certainly not be disappointed.

Deb was honestly the best! From our first meeting she really grasped how we felt about each other, which was proven in the vows that were written personalized to us. It was simply beautiful! Due to an error at the clerk's office with the marriage license, we needed to go back and resign everything again. I reached out to Deb right away, who responded immediately and was able to meet with us right the next day to get everything resigned. I was so thankful that she was so accommodating!

Deb is the best!
Deb Viola was amazing to work with. She is professional and she knows what she is doing. I have to give her so much credit because I didn't realize and understand how much work being an officiant entails.
The original meeting was fairly easy. She asks you a few questions on how you guys met, interests, hobbies, pets etc. I personally didn't think anything of it because I thought she was just trying to get to know us but than as you begin to get closer to the wedding date she sends you this beautifully written speech and it is what she will be saying word for word on your wedding. You are allowed to make any changes that you'd like on certain sections and you can choose how you'd like to be wed. My wife and I just read our own vows but you can do a bunch of other stuff.
We were one of many couples who had to postpone our wedding twice due to covid and during that extremely stressful time she made things easy and took all of the pressure off of us.
On the wedding day: She will greet you at the wedding and ask for your marriage license which she will take. She handles all paperwork so once your married you don't need to do anything else. She spoke clear and showed why she does what she does. Not a single hiccup, stutter, mumble what so ever. She is a true professional.
For any bride or groom reading this who is worried about stuttering because of nerves or not knowing what to say or mispronouncing a word like me, she makes it super simple that anyone of any age can do it.

A dream of a ceremony!
Rev. Debra was amazing! It was as if she had known us for a long time. My mother, who was upset that we were not getting married in the church, had nothing but wonderful remarks about how beautiful it was. It was my father's birthday (he passed away 3 years ago) and the comments on remembering my Dad were so lovely. It was beyond our expectations! From the readings read, and how eloquently she gave the service, made it something we all will never forget. She did not even give one shiver that our ceremony was outside in the water on a very cold February day. Thank you for making our day so unique and fantastic!

Most beautiful ceremony!!
I found Rev Deb through April Gismondi and she is an absolute gem. Deb has amazing pre-written ceremonies that are absolutely beautiful, we chose one and our family felt like it was written just for us! We also chose 2 readings from her website, which has a lot of great choices. We were getting so many compliments throughout the day on how great our officiant was, considering we had never met her in person before...COVID times.... She maintained safe COVID protocol which is a huge plus! Deb also gave us a binder with a copy of our ceremony in it as a keepsake, which is super sweet. I would recommend her completely!!! Made our day amazing!!

Funny, Poignant, Sentimental - Perfect Ceremony
Reverend Deb and Ceremonies of the Heart were a key partner in our wedding in November 2019. Our ceremony was very important to us. Some of our family members wished that we had our ceremony in a Catholic church and for various reasons, my husband and I decided it against it. But, we did want to preserve some religious elements into our ceremony along with elements that were “us” – funny, poignant and sentimental. Reverend Deb met with us prior to the wedding to get to know us and our story and created a beautiful ceremony that struck a balance for everything we were trying to achieve. Amazing officiant!! Would highly recommend!!
When it came time to looking for officiants for our wedding, which was October 5th 2019, my husband and I said that this was the most important part of wedding planning for us. I am Jewish and my husband is Lutheran. We wanted to involve both religions and also included Rabbi Sara (please see her page for review, she was also spectacular). Reverend Deb was beyond funny, kind, personable, warm and professional, I could go on! Every single person at our wedding came up to us after to tell us that it was the most funny, warm-hearted, meaningful ceremony they had ever been to! Rabbi Sara and Rev Deb wrote the most beautiful ceremony that truly reflected the love that we share for each other and for our families and friends. It was also important for us to almost educate our guests as some were not Jewish and some were not Christian, so we were able to make everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. Rabbi Sara and Rev Deb involved traditions from both religions so seamlessly. I would recommend them to anyone!! The whole planning process with Rev Deb was easy and, again, she was so professional and organized. Would recommend her to anyone who wants a perfect ceremony, because we will cherish ours for the rest of our lives!!

My husband and I couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Rev. Deb to officiate our wedding. Our ceremony was perfect!! Rev. Deb was so down to earth and understanding with the type of ceremony we had. She made us feel at ease as well as our families. When we met Rev Deb we booked her on the spot! She wanted to know all about us and our story. Rev Debra Viola was amazing! From our first e-mail encounters to our big day all experiences with Rev Debra Viola were seamless! She is professional, knowledgeable, and makes the ceremony process very easy. She had so many ideas we have never seen or heard about at weddings and trust me we have been to a lot of weddings! Our guests were blown away by the ceremony and many of them said it was the best wedding ceremony they have ever experienced. Thank you both so much for being wonderful and making it possible for Adam and I to have an amazing and unforgettable wedding. Everything was beautiful, the guests were happy and we were beyond pleased. Also, I wanted to say a personal thank you for the unexpected pieces, and making my Dad's memorial so lovely and appropriate. With the way the last 2 weeks have gone, there were a few loose ends that friends and family helped out with, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. We feel so fortunate to have been able to celebrate our day in such a beautiful space, thanks to Dad, we had perfect weather, and so many of our friends and family members commented on what a beautiful and personal ceremony you both provided.

Our experience with Reverend Deb was absolutely amazing! We live out of state but we're getting married in NY on June 3, 2018. It was easy to stay in contact with Reverend Deb via phone and email. Most amazing officiant with rabbi sara!!! They both were a dynamic duo and brought the taste of both religions to our large ceremony in the best of ways. They had their work cut out for them, as my father in law passed right before the wedding, and so they had to address this tragic situation, but yet make the ceremony positive- and they did! It was so beautiful and special. Also, at our request just a half hour. Our guests were happy and we were thrilled. My ceremony is something that I will remember for a lifetime. Rev deb was seriously amazing! So light hearted and fun! She brought joy to such an amazing day! Rev Deb made our wedding day so special and we cannot thank her enough. From the moment we met her, we instantly felt comfortable with her. My husband is Irish and Catholic and I am Jewish (neither religious) and we knew we wanted a short ceremony that incorporated just a touch of each of our backgrounds. She helped us incorporate the breaking of the glass, an Irish blessing, and a quick prayer. She also wrote a special passage honoring my father who passed and her words were just perfect. I can't recommend Rev Deb enough for a special and unique ceremony.

Rev Deb was the first and last officiant my husband and I met with. We knew right away that she was PERFECT for us. She is so kind, understanding and personalizes every single ceremony. As much as I had a blast at my reception, my ceremony was truly the best. All of my guests raved about how perfect it was. My husband and I really aren't too mushy, we are more of the goof ball types and Rev Deb was right on board with that. She cracked jokes and let us create our ceremony with her so we could really feel like it was OURS, and not just the typical wedding. While my husband and I aren't very religious, our families are, and different ones at that. Rev Deb kept the peace and made both of our families happy, while also not bringing religion too much into it to keep my husband and I happy.
Seriously the best officiant I have EVER had the privilege of meeting or seen at any wedding. I'm so thankful we found her.

This was a 2nd marriage for both of us and my first wedding and believe me I wanted it to be special because this wS so special. Rev Deb was amazing. From the start of our process of finding an officiant she was helpful kind and honest. After meeting with her our search was over and we were confident in her ability to create a personal and meaningful ceremony. When we were at my husbands parents house telling his family we found our officiant my husband's sister yelled omg Rev Deb married us too!!! So I knew it was absolutely meant to be. She worked hard to personalize our ceremony and created something that was so special. We have been married for a year now and we still get compliments on how wonderful she was. She was so awesome that my husband's younger brother (his best man) and his now wife decided she was the right fit for them too and used her at their wedding that just passed. Rev Deb caught our attention at the only bridal show we attended in preparation for our wedding! We knew she was the one from that moment! Very easy to communicate with and very friendly! We met with her to discuss the wedding and she was so attentive and wanted as much information about us as we could give in order to get to know us on a personal level so she could deliver the best ceremony possible. At the end of this meeting she hugged us each goodbye which was a wonderful touch that made us even more confident!
The wedding day was such a blur but standing there in front of Deb as she performed our ceremony was wonderful! We could tell just how attentive she was at our meeting by how detailed and perfect her material was! She incorporates our story about how we met and she had our guests chuckling several times throughout! We have had a handful of guests tell us how great she was, how there was no dull moment of dread as in some ceremonies they have attended and how she really made it personal! I can not wait to view the video(her son in law was our cinematographer btw!) so we can really watch it from a guests perspective!
Hands down Deb is awesome and we would absolutely recommend her for anyone looking for a personalized ceremony!!

While at a bridal expo, I noticed a sign with the same social work credentials as me. This intrigued me as I didn't know what a social worker was doing at a bridal expo! In speaking with reverend deb, her warm and welcoming personality was instantly noticed. She actually gave us a suggestion on another venue to look at, which ended up being where we got married. My husband and I are two different religions, and are not very religious individuals. Rev deb helped us brainstorm different ceremony options, and was patient with us. On the wedding day she was welcoming, calm, and put our nerves at ease. All of the guests complimented not only reverend deb but the unique wine box ceremony. I will definitely recommend rev deb!! Upon reading Rev Deb's website, my fiance and I both knew we were going to be very pleased with her. After meeting her we were even more thrilled. Our meeting was for about 45 minutes just talking about how we met and what we love about each other as Rev Deb took some notes. Everyone at our ceremony thought we had known her for years with the way she spoke of us and the detail with which she recalled events we had described. Rev Deb Kept religion in our ceremony, but made sure love was the focal point, which was exactly what drew my wife and I to her. If you are on the fence about an officiant I would highly recommend visiting Rev Deb and you will be blown away by your ceremony.

I normally don't write reviews but I felt I had to write one for Rev. Deb since she was so amazing. I'm so happy we found her - our wedding would not have been the same without her! She was so amazing and helped us feel relaxed throughout the planning process. She also helped us come up with some great ceremony extras which we didn't even know existed. She was the one vendor we weren't worried about, and we were right - on the day of the wedding, Rev Deb arrived early (she actually got there before my mom haha) and helped walk us through everything. My wife and I had Reverend Deb officiate our wedding on 10/9/2015. We met with Rev Deb after attending a previous wedding the year before where she was the officiant. Even before meeting her we knew she was the one we wanted officiating our ceremony. Her attention to detail and personal touches really made the ceremony ours. She was PERFECT! She fine-tuned our ceremony exactly to the way we wanted. Not even missing a beat while mentioning the things my wife and I love about each other, and even including some beautiful words about my father who is no longer with us. After the ceremony, while speaking to my family and friends, the first thing that everyone said to us was how much they LOVED the ceremony. It was everyone’s favorite part of our special day. If you’re looking for an officiant, look no further, Rev Deb Viola is the one for you! Deb even mailed our marriage license for us, and gave us a binder with our ceremony printed out so we can look back on the beautiful words she said about us. Thank you, from the bottoms of our hearts, Deb, for such a beautiful, amazing, and memorable ceremony that we can look back on for years and years to come!

Rev Deb was AMAZINGGGGGG! Not only was she SO accomodating and easy to work with (we booked our wedding very quickly and officiant last and i was very skatter brained by the end there when poor Deb had to hust begin working with and getting to know us) she was so personable like an old friend and she created a ceremony that was personalised and felt special. All of our guests have raved since the moment i saw them at the reception how wonderful she was and are still saying that the ceremony was their favorite part of the whole wedding people have told me it was "inspiring" "emotional" and "made me want to get married!" and the ceremony was absolutely our favorite part too! The ceremony really is the most important part of the wedding and Rev Deb will make it as special as it should be. The cost was comparable to ither officiants i looked in to and now hat it is all over if i knew it would be the way it was i would have paid her even more, to me she MADE the wedding.

Rev. Deb MADE our wedding! The ceremony she created for us was personal, spiritual, uplifting, and just utterly beautiful. We met with her only once before the big day, and we had people coming up to us after the ceremony asking how long we’d known her, shocked to hear the truth, thinking we’d known her forever. One of our groomsmen who was getting married a few weeks later was mad he didn’t know about Rev. Deb before that day, because he wished he could have booked her for his own wedding after being part of the ceremony.
The process from start to finish was pretty simple – we met with her once, discussed the types of elements we wanted to include in our ceremony, and from there went back and forth over email a few times regarding the ceremony she had drafted. She has some beautiful ideas and excerpts to include, and every single person has since said it was the most beautiful and original ceremony they’ve ever seen.
On the day-of, everything went perfectly, except I actually forgot to bring our marriage license to the venue! I panicked (obviously), but Rev. Deb kept me calm and started talking through all the different scenarios so we could have the license signed before we left the country for two weeks (since the paperwork needs to be sent in within a certain window after the ceremony takes place). She even offered to have us drop by her house on our way to the airport the next day and use her family members as witnesses if necessary! Luckily, a few of our guests were able to retrieve it from our hotel in time, but it was amazing to know she would have done anything to help us out and make sure we didn’t have to worry.
If you’re looking for a personalized, touching ceremony that really speaks to the couple getting married vs. a generic, templated ceremony, Rev. Deb is your gal! We can’t thank her enough for making our day so special and memorable!

Rev. Deb is fabulous! She takes the time to get to know a couple and incorporates little things into the service that give everyone a real sense of who the couple is. You can tell that she truly enjoys what she does and delivers a wonderful ceremony. It was great to be able to work with her to put together a service that incorporated everything we wanted. She gave us choices of material to use and gave us enough time to make decisions and never feel rushed. I would recommend Rev. Deb to anyone looking for a kind, caring, truly genuine person to perform their ceremony. She was wonderful!

Rev Deb was fabulous since day I met with her at her office. She was always in constant contact , worked hard with us creating a beautiful ceremony, and performed a beautiful ceremony. She was always sweet, friendly, and kind. We had an issue with our rabbi and she had our back for everything ! She is the best!!!!!!! She also gave us a binder with our ceremony and vows which I thought was so sweet.

Rev Deb was amazing! We loved how we were able to have a customized ceremony and she really seemed like she knew us even though we only met once before the wedding. She took out anything we didn't like and added stuff in to fit our personalities. Every time we tried to contact her she was very professional and responded right away. I highly recommend hiring Rev. Rev Deb is absolutely wonderful! So many people said to us after the ceremony how great it was. She really helped make it our own which was really important to us. We made lots of changes especially to our own vows right down to the last day and nothing was ever an issue. She was so easy to work with, it made the whole process really special. Rev. Deb was a pleasure to work with. We got so many compliments on what a beautiful ceremony we had. Deb took an hour's worth of information from our initial meeting and turned it into a ceremony that made both us and our guests laugh and cry. She seamlessly incorporated my crazy readings (from The X-Files and Sons of Anarchy!!) with more traditional aspects to create a completely memorable and unique ceremony. She was highly responsive to our emails, and accommodating when we ended up having to change our wedding date. She made sure to have extra copies of the vows we wrote ourselves in case of an emergency. Rev. Deb also just genuinely enjoys her work, and it radiates off of her, making everyone around her feel comfortable and happy. She arrived even earlier than she said she would to the venue, which immediately put me at ease! Thank you so much for all of your help and for creating a ceremony we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Rev. Deb was the best! We loved her as soon as we met her! She was professional, more responsive than any other vendor we worked with, and was a pleasure to talk to. She walked us through the ceremony step-by-step, had helpful tips and great suggestions for us, and made us feel like we could leave the ceremony to her and not have to worry about it. On the day of the wedding, that was completely true. Several of our guests told us how much they loved the ceremony, and it was all thanks to Rev. Deb. We highly recommend her!!!

I was super happy that I found Rev Deb through wedding wire. Her office was close to our house, her charge to perform the service was honest & fair, and she took the time to get to know us and how our relationship has been over the past 15 years. Reverend Debra Viola did everything in her power to make our wedding day so special. From the beginning, Rev. Deb "was right there with us," with every decision we needed to make. She helped us to create our ideal ceremony, reflexive of our individual emotions. We decided during our ceremony to send "what we love most about each other," rather then say our vows aloud. This allowed us to feel comfortable during the wedding ceremony, and still communicate our feelings to each other. Most importantly, Rev. Deb gave us a variety of options for how we wanted each step of our ceremony to proceed. She was amazing, and I would absolutely recommend her to future brides.

Rev. Deb Viola was terrific! Right from the start, we both felt very comfortable with her, as we discussed the type of wedding ceremony we wanted. Deb Viola is just the most special person. She did a fantastic job guiding us through the ceremony process and she gave us the most wonderful selections to choose from to customize our ceremony. She was very responsive to our needs and even though the wind was howling at our outdoor ceremony, she did a wonderful and heartfelt job of performing our service. We initially did not care who officiated the wedding and were going to go with one the Coral House recommended that would do a generic 1-2-3 ceremony. Then we met Rev Deb. There was just this aura around her that I could not resist. My wife and I are not religious, but consider ourselves spiritual. After talking with her for a bit I had to have her as our officiant. We booked her in November. We didn’t want a long drawn out ceremony but did want a simple blessing and something personal. She did an incredible job. It took me like 3 days to be able to read through the whole ceremony draft without crying my eyes out. I felt every word she said while standing up at the altar.

Rev Deb was amazing. All of our guests said it was a great ceremony and asked if we has written it. We fessed up and said no Rev Deb did it all. She listen to all we had to say about each other during our meeting and got it all correct. The one line that keep come up and that there Was a lot of love in the room during our ceremony and that was made possible by Rev Deb.

Rev. Deb Viola made our wedding as special as we dreamed by getting to know us as a couple during pre wedding workshops.
She was so knowledgable when it came to blending our faiths & traditions. She made sure all aspects of our ceremony were explained.
She even arrived under the weather to our wedding & brought back up just in case she wouldn't be able to preform the ceremony.
It is hard to put into words what it meant to have Rev. Deb be a part of our special day. (We still go to her for advice).

Reverend Deb created a beautiful and tailored ceremony for us! Even the MEN came up to us and commented on how great the ceremony was, so you know if men notice it has to be great! We had a ceremony that included hand fasting which I loved! Deb will sit with you and your fiance' and get some details about your relationship- ours is Diamonds and Duck Dynasty and people are still laughing because it is true! Rev. Deb performed my sister's ceremony a few years back and we knew then that she would be the one to perform ours- THANK YOU DEB! I cannot wait to see the video! It made me cry then and it will make me cry again- thank you for your special touch!

Rev. Sara was an absolutely amazing officiant! Sara is friendly, funny, personable and professional. Our guests loved her! We had so many couples come up to us to tell us how much they loved how she conducted the ceremony. Her use of humor and her ability to tell a narrative of our love story made our ceremony unforgettable! Any couple would be lucky to have her as their officiant! Thanks again Rev. Sara!! :)
