So happy we found Susan!

Of all the great vendors that my husband and I booked for our September 2020 wedding, our officiant, Susan, received far and above the most compliments from the guests who attended our wedding (including those who watched our ceremony via Zoom). My husband and I loved working with her - she is an absolute gem. She is so friendly, attentive, organized, and thoughtful. We first met with her in person (pre-COVID), where she spent hours getting to know us and our story. She also helped frame what elements we wanted in our ceremony, and created the perfect timeline for us. Although we were not interested in getting married in a church, we wanted to incorporate some spirituality, and we knew some family members would have liked to see us get married in a church. Susan made some great suggestions to that end, and did a great job of making those family members feel included. She did a phenomenal job the day of the wedding. Our ceremony was just as we wanted it to be - a mix of lightheartedness and seriousness, and very personalized. Our guests were captivated by Susan's delivery of our story, and we received so many compliments afterwards about how great our ceremony and officiant were. I wouldn't be surprised to see Susan as the officiant at a family member's wedding in the future. I would absolutely recommend her to all of my family and friends who are looking for a top-notch officiant.

I can't not say enough positive things about Susan. From the planning stages to the ceremony itself she made me and my husband so at ease. We got so many compliments on our ceremony. She told our story. It was so personal and heartfelt. She will be a part of our lives forever now!

Susan is Excellent! The ceremony she designed for our wedding day was perfect, she included so many special things that meant so much to us. I specifically requested a christian ceremony and she delivered exactly what I wanted. I cried during the ceremony and she even came prepared with a beautiful handkerchief that she pulled out for me to wipe my tears. Her ceremonies are truly from the heart!!! Susan has a real gift and connects couples in the most meaningful way!!! I highly recommend Susan. I know she has touched our hearts forever.

Susan is wonderful! We cannot recommend her enough. We have received so many compliments on our ceremony. Susan got to know us and incorporated the details of our relationship into the ceremony. Her words were so sweet and there were moments of laughter as well. I loved how she incorporated our families into the ceremony, as well. She is such a calming influence. She checked on me (the bride) prior to the ceremony and then proceeded to check on the rest of the bridal party. She is truly a caring person. You will not be disappointed with Susan!

We just had our daughters wedding with Susan and we could not be more pleased. I never heard so many compliments on a ceremony before. She made the ceremony so personal and everyone said she made them feel like they were part of the couples story. She is a very calming influence and we are so glad we found her. If you are looking for the personal touch and not just some tired old service, we absolutely recommend Susan.

We were so pleased with the ceremony that Susan curated for our wedding. She took the time to get to know us and put together a unique and personalized ceremony that reflected our personalities. We had guests coming up to us all night to tell us what a wonderful ceremony we had, and one went as far as to say it was her "dream ceremony." We could not have been more happy with our choice to go with Susan for our big day and could not recommend her enough.

We haven't even had our wedding yet and I am already 100% happy with this service!

Susan is our officiant and she is, in one word, fantastic!

We spoke on the phone prior to our first meeting and she gave me all kinds of suggestions for venues before she was even booked. Our first meeting was at a Panera (as is typical, I've come to find!) and we all had dinner together and just talked. We spent hours describing our history, our views/beliefs, and imagining our wedding ceremony. Eating with her was like meeting up with a long-lost friend and catching up on everything new. She is very open-minded, positive and warm.

Susan walked us through every step of the ceremony and gave us ideas for readings, unity and memorial moments. We are currently in the process of personalizing every single moment of our ceremony and we are very excited about it.

We cannot speak more highly of Susan, and cannot wait to share this special moment with her. It is clear that we are in good hands and will be well taken care of.

She is worth. every. penny. You won't be disappointed.

What can we say about Susan! We had the pleasure to work with her, as she married us on 9/18/2016 at Avonworth Community Park. In an attempt to finding an officiant, our DJ recommended her. We reached out to her and I won't forget the very next day when she responded back! She can talk to you via call, text and email-which was very helpful with our busy lives. We had a phone chat to introduce ourselves and how she would plan to work with us if we would have her. Then we met her in person-she gave us a hug as if we knew each other forever! (Which I loved!). Not only does she listen to your story and take notes from it, she puts an ceremony outline together to help you create your own unique ceremony. One part of her ceremony I would highly recommend, is her "advice" to the couple. I'll let her do the honors of explaining the other elements of her outline lol After many phone calls, emails later, before you know it, it was rehearsal time! She was a huge part of us practicing and telling everyone how things would go on the wedding day. She is all about making your day into a celebration, and having fun, while being organized. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect! Everyone who was there to witness our day wanted to know who Susan was, and complimented how she made you comfortable and felt apart of the ceremony. They all (including us) could listen to her more-her voice calming, her words are sweet, and how she told our story had either reminded someone what they might have already known, or maybe learn something different about us. Even when one of our groomsman through a surprise into our ceremony, she was easy going and laughed along with us! We absolutely love Susan and welcome her to our "family" with open arms. We hope you highly consider her to be apart of your special day! You're our Heart Susan! :)

Susan is warm, easy to talk to, and engaging to her audience. Together we came up with the perfect ceremony fit exactly for us...a short and sweet story of how we met, plus traditional "I do"s for our relaxed outdoor barn wedding. Susan addressed all of my concerns and gave us a wonderful ceremony - most guests specifically mentioned to us how much they enjoyed the ceremony itself because of Susan! My husband and I were over the moon about our ceremony and working with Susan! If you are looking for a personal, heartfelt, and memorable ceremony, Susan is perfect! She was so open to anything we wanted to do and had very personal suggestions for everything that we had absolutely no clue about. We didn't feel as though we hired a minister, but rather that we made a lifelong friend who got to know us and our relationship better than probably even the two of us do! Susan was so intuitive and was able to win over our incredibly diverse community of friends and family who we shared our special day with. We honestly could not have asked a better person to marry us and we cannot imagine a ceremony anymore perfect for us. We are so thankful to have found Susan.

After looking for officiants on Wedding Wire, I stumbled upon Susan. I looked at her website and immediately felt a connection with her, and reached out. She responded right away and it was a quick connection. We met with her at a Starbucks and she asked many questions about us, our families, our religious beliefs, our family's beliefs, our story, and so much more. Many hours later of chatting with her, we were sure we wanted Susan to marry us. Simply put, she just genuinely cares. She creates a ceremony unique to you and your wants/beliefs. We weren't a couple that was a member of a church and just wanted a quick ceremony. During the planning process, we realized that planning the ceremony with Susan had been our favorite part of planning! We met again a few weeks before the wedding and reviewed everything with her and again. Again after a few hours of laughter and story telling, we couldn't wait to see what she'd come up with the day of. She is so thorough and takes lots of notes to make sure she gets every little thing right. Her professionalism is out of this world! The day of, Susan fit in seamlessly. She had taken the time to know our personalities, our families and most importantly, she created a perfect marriage ceremony for us. She truly took the responsibility of a point person the day of and the rehearsal day. She kept everyone calm, checking in on the bridal party and leading the ceremony! She has such a calming way about her. Don't be fooled because she will have just as much fun as you on the dance floor, too! We are forever grateful to have found her and look forward to keeping in touch with Susan, as she became an important person to us as we begin our journey as husband and wife. Thank you, Susan!

As an out of town couple, picking vendors for our Pittsburgh wedding initially seemed a little overwhelming. We knew that we would have to choose many vendors based on phone interviews rather than being able to meet each in person. From our first phone call with Susan we knew she was the perfect fit to officiate our wedding. Susan was very interested in getting to know my husband and I as a couple; our likes and dislikes, how we met, our stories...she truly made us feel like she really cared! We hired her without even meeting her first. When we did finally meet to plan our ceremony 4 months before our wedding we were reassured to know we made the right choice. We spent nearly three hours with Susan going over ceremony details and making sure it would be the right fit for us. Susan even went above and beyond her duties helping us with our seating chart! The day of our wedding was absolutely flawless, and our guests all commented about what a special ceremony we had. Susan truly wants to get to know you as a couple and you can tell that she loves to be a part of each couples' life. Thank you for creating the perfect ceremony for us!

Susan was the absolute best! She is a warm, kind and professional officiant who will got the extra mile to ensure your day is perfect. Susan asked us many questions about us, our family and relationship so she was able to incorporate those details into our ceremony. The day of the wedding, she was right by my side making sure everything was perfect. She even helped decorate since we were running short on time. A few of my guests thought she was a wedding planner as well as an officiant. We received so many compliments on Susan and the heartfelt ceremony she put together for us. I would highly recommend Susan to any bride who wants to work with someone who truly cares. My little sister is planning on using her as well.

My husband and I got married on September 26, 2015. We were so lucky to have found Susan, as we could not imagine our wedding without her. From the first time we spoke to her over the phone to our first meeting in person, we had no doubts in our minds that she was the right person to officiate our wedding. Susan is the most open-minded and kind person we've met. She really was there for us to help out every step of the way. I honestly don't think our rehearsal dinner and wedding ceremony would have gone as smoothly as they did without her there with us. She has a way of coming up with the smallest details that add that personal touch, and she really took the time to get to know my husband and I as individuals and as a couple. There's something about Susan that just makes you feel safe with her -- and that really helps her make your ceremony everything you want it to be. She brought great ideas to the table and helped us come up with unique ideas for our ceremony that completely matched who we are. My husband and I have been together just over a year and Susan is still every bit the kind, warm, and wonderful person she was on day one. We are blessed to know her and to have her in our lives. I highly recommend this amazing woman! You won't find anyone better.

Stop looking for an officiant and book Susan now! She is the best of the best and we are grateful that we found her. We cannot thank Susan enough for all she did to make our wedding so very special. She went above and beyond in every way possible and helped us to feel heard and at ease every step of the way. Our wedding ceremony was planned on a special date during the week & Susan made herself available to make our day so special on very short notice. Susan was absolutely amazing for our same-sex wedding. We gave her (almost) free reign to plan a ceremony suited to my husband and I, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the results. During the planning and rehearsal meetings, Susan spent time getting to know us and our families, and her approach was very genuine and warm-hearted. Susan's ceremony was sweet, unique, funny, and very personalized to us, and afterwards everyone kept telling us how beautiful it was. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant for our wedding, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a unique and genuine ceremony for their special day!

My husband and I met a little later in life and we enjoyed a very special courtship that continues today and that led to us deciding to marry and build a life together. With Reverend Susan Talbott’s guidance and gentle manner, my husband and I created a wedding ceremony unique to us and our relationship -- a day that we'll always cherish and remember. Susan took the time to get to know each of us and that intimacy came through in the details of our ceremony. She supported us as we developed each layer of our ceremony and worked with us to bring each unique element to life. She encouraged us to create our own vows, to include a hand blessing, to remember both of our fathers (who passed before our wedding) in a touching and memorable way and, of course, the ring exchange, that special moment of commitment and love. It was an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and led with grace by Susan. Thank you, Susan, for leading us to the first day of the rest of our married lives together. We are forever grateful.

When my beloved and I decided to seal our love for each other ,we had to pause for a moment about who would perform the ceremony. As my husband is a Christian and I walk an eclectic path, we are more spiritual than religious, and did not attend a church. Discussing this we immediately knew it would have to be our dear friend Susan. We knew she was a minister. We weren't sure she was performing wedding ceremonies at that time.

We sat down and explained we would want know one but her to share in our day since we both have known her for years and knew the Love and the Light she has for all beings. She asked us what we would like included in our and ceremony and what we would not like. She spent the time to get to know us on an even deeper level. She put together a most beautiful ceremony and celebration of our love that many people came up to us during the reception to comment on how beautiful the ceremony was. My brother in law said it was the nicest ceremony he has ever been a part of. And thinking about this now, Rev Susan did Include all of our loved ones in the ceremony in a small but loving way.

If you are looking for a warm, compassionate, loves all, familiar with all traditional religions and really walks her talk spirituality, you owe it to yourself to sit down and see what beautiful Love can be created for your special day.

Susan Talbot was wonderful to work with. She took time to have dinner with us and hear our story. She asked questions and was very attentive. At our rehearsal dinner she took time to meet every person there. We wanted a very personal, laid back ceremony, that was true to who we are. Susan went above and beyond our expectations. When I first reached out to Susan, she invited me to call so we could chat and see if we were a good fit for each other; we spent about an hour on the phone discussing my now-husband and I, our values, our families, and what we were hoping for for our wedding. From there, we decided we'd like to continue.

We made arrangements to meet in person to go over in greater depth what we were wanting for our wedding ceremony. Susan is engaging, professional, AND very fun, and was a pleasure to work with.

She crafted a fantastic ceremony for us, incorporating our quirks (we're definitely on the nerdy side) and interests with such finesse and class - our guests, along with us, were so touched and impressed with the beautiful, personal, one-of-a-kind ceremony she created.

My husband and I really loved working with Susan and would recommend her to anyone - especially to anyone maybe seeking to deviate a little from the beaten path as ceremonies go. I hope, down the road when we seek to renew our vows, that she is still practicing because I would love the opportunity to work with her again.
