Rev. Rick was one of the best choices we made for our Wedding. Our pastor couldn't perform our nuptials and so we needed a backup and Rev Rick was there for us. ALL THE WAY! He got to know us via a simple phone call. We got married in the extreme heat of August and no air conditioning!! and he was a professional through and through. He was exactly what we had hoped for, professional, punctual, thoughtful and likable. We felt like instant friends with him. He was able to slightly change up some of the ceremony verbiage to accommodate our wishes. Everyone was blown away by his offered, "Native blessing" and agreed it fit with the location of our venue as I heard that several times throughout the day. A truly perfect ceremony.
He spoke as if he knew us. He said and did everything that we asked him to. We were nervous hiring someone we didn't know. Never have I seen an officiant receive such high remarks. My family was blown away by his ability to lead the ceremony, his quick wit, and his loving tone in which he navigated each part of the ceremony. We could not have chosen anyone better. My family is christian, and we were embarrassed we didn't have someone we knew closely that was willing to do it, and Rev. Rick was a prayer answered for us. Genuinely would recommend him to anyone.

Last minute wedding
After our original wedding plans were postponed due to COVID, decided to do what was important, and get married! Rev. Rick was easy to coordinate with last minute. I really appreciated the Vow Builder tool he provides which takes out a lot of the guess work in preparing for the ceremony. He was reliable and made everything go smoothly on his end, the day of. He will take any COVID precautions requested such as wearing a mask which I asked of my small number of guests. I would definitely recommend Rev. Rick.

Rev. Rick Durham officiant extraordinaire
Rev. Rick brings years of experience and a kind smile that will make you feel like you have known him your whole life. We were nervous to choose an officiant as we did not know the area and wanted someone that really understood what we wanted in a ceremony. After reading a lot of reviews and his website we reached out to discuss further. Rick set up a call with us and after talking just a few moments, we decided he was a natural fit for us. He took the time to meet with us a few times and get to know us personally which made us feel even better about our decision.
His ceremony builder took the anxiety out of the readings and speeches that would be used. We were able to personalize our ceremony so it reflected who we are without being overly religious. Rick even helped us build a wine mixing ceremony in place of a unity candle to reflect the Vineyard venue we were getting married at.
Rev. Rick was flawless during our ceremony and gave us the confidence to write our own vows. He brought his own PA equipment so we did not have to worry about logistics. The ceremony was beautiful and we could not have asked for a better partner to complete our ceremony. I will recommend Rev. Rick Durham to anyone looking to have a personal experience with an incredible individual.

Rev Rick is very professional. You can tell that he's done a lot of weddings. He was always super responsive whenever we had questions. His website has a ceremony builder tool which is extremely helpful. It allows you to pick and choose what you want him to say during the ceremony with different examples, or you could add in your own verbiage. He even gave us some ideas on a unity ceremony. He worked really well with the wedding coordinator as well!

Amazing and efficient
He was so helpful to us. Any questions he always had an answer and very timely responses. I never had to worry if things were handled for the ceremony because he was so on it with the help he offered. Professional, easy, and good at his job
My wife and I were unlucky enough to be one of the couples that had to reschedule their wedding because of COVID. Prior to the reschedule, the process was simple. We spoke with him on the phone, we designed our own ceremony through his website builder, and were able to reach him via email with any questions! After we had to reschedule, he was very kind and was able to work with us on a day that worked best for us. For the rehearsal and wedding, he was very professional and had a great sense of humor. He is great at intertwining the seriousness of a wedding with anecdotes and situations that lighten the mood. I would recommend him to anyone getting married that is looking for an officiant!

Rev Rick accommodated our plans with one days notice and made sure we had a perfect experience with the circumstances that were in front of us. He made sure to include our four year old boy into everything that was going on and thats one of the best things that came out of our wedding day. The castle was beautiful and comfortable, we were also able to choose between a few different areas on the castle grounds to go forward with our marriage. Rev. Rick Durham was everything we could have wanted in an officiant!! From the beginning he was open to what we wanted in our ceremony. He has a ceremony builder on his website which is easy to navigate and easy to choose what each section of the wedding will have. I was nervous about the ceremony and since we lived out of town we scheduled a phone call where we went through the entire ceremony step-by-step to ease my nerves. He was always prompt and responsive to all my questions. The day of the wedding was amazing he had a binder there to help him, but he hardly looked at the notes and was captive with our guests during the whole ceremony. He is an eloquent speaker and made sure the flow of the ceremony was perfect. We are so incredibly thankful for Rick who made our wedding an absolute dream!

The Remillard's: R-Ranch Wedding With Rick
Rick was fantastic. He was extremely helpful and easy to work with. We kind of ran into an issue with our DJ as it was raining outside but clearing up and we wanted to do the ceremony outside. The DJ didn't want to put the equipment outside where rain can get to it so we were worried people wouldn't be able to hear Rick. Rick came prepared with his own sound system. So It was perfect. He was very good and I love how we were able to customize our ceremony to how we wanted it done with his ceremony builder. The pricing was pretty solid as well. I highly recommend Rick!

A wonderful place.
After ten years together, my fiancé and I eloped at Cavender Castle with Rev. Durham. It was very last moment. They were extremely responsive, flexible and courteous. Even though it was just us two he made it feel so very special. We even had a kennel to leave our Weims during the ceremony -good thing we chose the Chapel in the woods as my one dogs voice carries a long ways ha~. I very much recommend this place, grounds are beautiful and Rev. Rick is very personable. All around wonderful experience.

3 words: Accommodating, Professional, Experienced. On a day in which you will be all nerves, you will be glad to have someone as calm, reassuring and well-prepared as Reverend Rick officiating your wedding. Rev. Rick was wonderful! We had originally planned to get married at the courthouse, not wanting to spend a lot of money on a ceremony that not many people would be attending. I am so glad I found this place and we decided to have the ceremony here. Our wedding was beautiful. Thank you so much for making our new beginning so special!

Reverend Rick made our wedding day more than special. His website provided a large selection of personalized vows that were better than we could have written ourselves. He also suggested a hand washing ceremony because we have both been married before as a way of washing away painful pasts and starting our new life fresh and clean. It was the first time I’ve heard of this and it was perfect for us! He was kind, funnny, warm and personal. We highly recommend his services.

From a mother of the bride perspective, Reverend Rick was absolutely perfect. My daughter and son in law had in mind the type of service they wanted. Rev Rick listened to them and performed the exact type of ceremony they wanted. He was very professional and responsive every time we communicated. My husband is non-religious while I am religious and Rev. Rick allowed us to customize our ceremony based on both my husband and I's needs. Rev. Rick was absolutely perfect for our ceremony! I contacted him just two weeks before we planned to marry and he called me within FOUR minutes! This was a unique ceremony, as my husband and I were marrying for the SECOND time, and three days before my husband was to have a living donor kidney transplant.
Rev. Rick made our ceremony so personal that our guests thought we knew him prior to our big day! Highly, highly, recommend him!!

Very accommodating, professional, personable and very pleasant. Rev Rick bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. Giving us several options on locations throughout the property. Beautiful location with breath-taking views. After the ceremony the Rev. and his wife allowed us to use a photo shoot set up to snap some pictures. They took pictures for us with our camera. All we encountered were extremely nice and helpful. Great prices, extremely reasonable!!! Thank you so much for making our elopement memorable!!!

Reverend Rick was perfect. His website ceremony builder is a great service and made the whole process of designing our ceremony super easy. It was a fantastic feature that made us feel like we were really getting exactly what we wanted. Beyond that, he was very friendly and knew exactly what to do the day of the event when an obstacle at the beginning of the ceremony created a stall...I started getting a bit nervous and Rev. Rick didn't miss a beat, he got me talking and took my mind off of the problem and helped to keep me relaxed. Before I knew it, the problem was resolved and then...I was married! Great job! His presentation of the ceremony itself was very well done. He projects well, has a great voice and a smooth and caring delivery. Outstanding all around. I would recommend him to anyone without a second thought.

We used Google to find his services for a wedding in Helen Ga. I honestly didn't expect such a beautiful ceremony for the amount of money charged. Rev. Rick and Cyndi helped us have our perfect wedding day! We had both been married before and wanted a classic ceremony, but one that was still laid back and relaxed. It was wonderful to have discovered Rev.Rick and Cyndi of Small Wedding Experts of North Georgia, since they can come to you. We married at our new home in Blue Ridge. We were able to select vows meaningful to us and it was truly lovely. With just our kids and parents, it was a beautiful, perfect wedding!

Reverend Rick was incredibly helpful with our special day! He was flexible with communication (we were out of state and could only send emails or phone calls). We also had a face to face meeting with him a few weeks before the big day and he was totally prepared with topics and questions! He was very punctual and on time for everything! He has a great personality that captured our guests attention and truly valued our beliefs! Thank you so much!

Rick was amazing. He went above and beyond to pull off the ceremony of our dreams. He was able to work with our vows and he was funny and articulate. When he spoke it came across as he had written everything himself.
Our guests raved about his delivery and his compassion. We felt very comfortable with him as our officiant from day one.
We could not have asked for a better person to marry us!

Rev. Rick was wonderful. Though it was a rushed wedding with nothing planned, he but us both at ease with effortless professionalism. The ceremony was beautiful and the vows were deeply moving and perfect in so many ways. The setting was lovely and I'll remember each moment for a lifetime.

Rev Rick and his wife were excellent! Our ceremony was beautiful and our vows meaningful. Our photos are great and she even served cake!! We were very impressed by their "above and beyond" service and care! We highly recommend these folks!
