It was a pleasure to work with David at Celebrations Catering for our daughter's recent wedding. The food was delicious and the service provided by the waiters, bartenders and captains was second to none. During the planning process David provided many suggestions for little details and big details like quantities for our purchase of alcohol that made the event planning seamless. We highly recommend Celebrations Catering! -

We just held our wedding and used celebrations catering for our wedding dinner. Since the beginning everyone at celebrations were so wonderful to work with. From our tasting to finalizing the menu and options, communicating was a breeze. I worked with Lois Aylestock on finalizing our menu and she was such a pleasure to work with. We had some guests with allergies and Lois made sure to check with the chefs and CEO that our guests allergies were noted and accommodated. Lois also helped to match linens with my overall vision and colors and helped answer all of my questions. All of the staff from celebrations working and serving during our wedding were so wonderful especially our banquet captain who made sure everything ran so smoothly! We received so many compliments on all of the food served at our wedding (especially the shrimp at cocktail hour!) and would recommend celebrations to anyone looking for a caterer. -

Working with David was a very enjoyable experience! From our first meeting, to the tasting, to the cocktail hour and reception, everything was very professional, and of course the food was delicious. They were happy to cater to all of our specific requests, and made sure that we were well taken care of on our wedding day. The signature cocktails they made were delicious as well! We were very budget conscious during our wedding planning, and David was very helpful in maximizing our bang for our buck with his services. -

The food is delicious, the presentation is colorful and extraordinary. These are the most attentive, service oriented professional caterers, I have every met. They provided the food, wait staff, bar tenders ect. for our daughter's wedding at Whitehall Manor in Bluemont, VA. Our entire experience from planning, to booking, to tasting to the reception was exceptional. They are the Nordstrom's, the Wegmans' of caterers. I highly recommend them. -

Rachel Sent on 11/21/2011Celebrations Catering was a dream come true for me. It was a completely custom experience and I was able to have as much say in every detail as I wanted. On things were I was less versed I trusted the professionals and they delivered big! We had an initial planning meeting to go over menu, linens, staff, etc. During the months before the wedding, I had several changes and questions and my emails were always responded to promptly by Roberta, she was fantastic! On the day of, I had so many compliments from my guests on the food and professionalism of the staff. I really couldn't have asked for any more from them, and I wouldn't change a thing! -

Courtney Sent on 09/25/2011The food is to die for and there are so many options to choose from. The staff are very nice and very helpful. The only issue I had with the staff is during my ceremony (which was inside) my guests could hear the staff talking very loudly in the kitchen while preparing the food. I did not hear anything (probably because I was so nervous:) but my family and friends could. But other than that I would have to say they are great! -

Celebrations has pretty quality food and the staff that worked our wedding and rehearsal dinner did a nice job and were very friendly. The owner of Celebrations (David Weinschel) however was very difficult to work with. He would have very productive calls with us and then would send us a copy of the plan/meals that contradicted themselves and didn’t match what we agreed to on the call. When we tried to address that issue with him, he was rude, and refused to even have a conversation with us. Instead he insisted on communicating through our wedding venue. If the owner cannot handle feedback or work constructively with clients he really should consider hiring staff that is capable of handling those details. One thing I didn’t like on wedding day was that I had specifically asked for signature cocktails to not be premixed in fear of being watered down. I was told “no problem” and they were premixed anyway. If that wasn’t a feasible option I shouldn’t have been promised differently. The recipes I provided were also not being followed and even when I corrected the bartender he blatantly ignored my requests. The service during dinner was great though the food was average and what you would expect from catering food. Celebrations was our only required vendor from the venue and frankly we would not have chosen them if we weren’t forced to. Keep that in mind when booking a wedding at Rosemont Manor. -

Colleen Sent on 01/17/2013The only saving grace for this horrible company is their Head Chef, Jose Marty, and he is the *only* reason they even got 1 star from me on ANY category. HE actually returned my calls and emails in a timely manner. I believe Adolfo Mendez, the Business Manager, really tried - he was professional at least - but so out of touch with costs that he was ineffective at helping me get even close to my budget; and didn't really seem to see an issue with costs that were more than the venue! And for simple food at that!
I think part of the problem is that they are the exclusive caterer for Rosemont Manor, and that gives them a position of absolute power. There is no one to reign them in; and there is no recourse for the unfortunate bride who has to use their services. In retrospect, I would not have booked with Rosemont at all if I had known these fools were the exclusive Caterer, and I strongly urge any other prospective bride to NOT book with any place where there is no choice but Celebrations.
FYI: David Weinschel doesn't return phone calls or emails (he is the POC at Rosemont for Celebrations). He doesn't care if you tell him his costs are not in your budget. If you complain about him being unresponsive or uncaring, he lambasts YOU, the customer, and tries to seem as if YOU are the one with the problem. I don't know why this clown is allowed to handle customers - he clearly has NO communications skills at all.
Actually, Rosemont,. my venue, really came through - setting me up to talk with Adolfo Mendez, the G.M., when it was clear commuinications with Weinschel were beyond repair. The owner of Rosemont, Mr. Genda, chipped in some of his OWN money to help defray Celebrations' trumped-up costs We ended up buying our own linens to defray costs; also providing our own alcohol and license. We negotiated with the venue to provide base linens and tables. And at the end of it all the food we were served at the Wedding was sub-par compared to the Food Tasting.
