    A lovely all-inclusive style venue

    We picked this venue for the picturesque ceremony views and to avoid decision fatigue from going a more DIY route. Celebrations at the Bay was a lovely all-inclusive choice. They have killer views and good flow from space to space. Our guests enjoyed being able to hang out on the pier when they needed fresh air. The caterers were willing to create passed hors d'oeuvres that gave a nod to our cultural background and the food and cake was delicious on the day. They were also on point with all our guest’s dietary restrictions. We didn't need many decor choices either, as the venue is beautiful and they have some standard decor options for the reception.

    Best day ever!

    We recently had our wedding at Celebrations at the Bay (Chesapeake Ballroom) and couldn't be happier with our choice. From the moment we stepped foot into the venue, we knew it was the perfect place for our special day. The Chesapeake Ballroom exudes elegance and charm, providing a beautiful backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. The planning process was incredibly smooth and stress-free, thanks to the amazing team at Celebrations at the Bay. Zoe and Randy, our planner and day-of coordinator provided by the venue, were absolute gems. They were attentive, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. Their expertise and professionalism made the entire experience enjoyable and worry-free. The catering provided by Catering by Uptown was outstanding. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how amazing the meal was, and the open bar was a hit with everyone. Additionally, the selection of table settings, linens, and decorations offered by the venue allowed us to personalize our event and create the atmosphere we envisioned. Celebrations at the Bay truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more. Special mention must be made of the staff who worked tirelessly to ensure that everything ran smoothly. They were exceptional, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure that all of our guests were taken care of. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue than the Chesapeake Ballroom. It exceeded all of our expectations, and we're so grateful to everyone who played a part in making our day so special. If you're looking for a venue that combines elegance, excellent service, and amazing food, look no further than the Chesapeake Ballroom. Highly recommended!

    Celebrations

    I hosted my bridal shower at The Knollview House at Celebrations, and it was nothing short of amazing. Anne was incredible to work with—her responsiveness and attention to detail made the entire planning process so smooth. From start to finish, she made sure every aspect of the event was perfect, which allowed me to relax and enjoy my special day.

    The food was exceptional, with so many of my guests raving about the lobster bisque—it was easily one of the highlights of the menu! The rest of the meal was just as impressive, and the entire staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm throughout the event.

    The venue itself is stunning, set right on the water with breathtaking views that made for the most beautiful photos. The natural scenery combined with the charm of The Knollview House created such an elegant and serene atmosphere.

    If you’re looking for a venue that combines gorgeous views, excellent food, and a top-notch team, Celebrations is the place to go. I couldn’t recommend Anne and her team more highly—they truly made my bridal shower unforgettable!

    Review From a Wedding Photographer & Videographer

    As a wedding photographer/videographer I have worked at Celebrations numerous times and every. single. wedding- Celebrations at the Bay NAILS IT! They are a standout venue that offers a perfect blend of waterfront beauty and modern elegance. The panoramic views of the Chesapeake Bay provide an absolutely stunning backdrop for outdoor ceremonies, especially during sunset, which creates a dreamy atmosphere for capturing unforgettable moments.
    The venue’s variety of spaces, from the elegant ballroom to the scenic outdoor areas, allows for diverse and unique shots throughout the day. Whether it’s the couple’s first look on the waterfront or the lively reception inside, every detail of the venue enhances the beauty of the photos. Could not recommend this venue enough!

    Wonderful!

    Everyone from the start to the finish was wonderful! The food was amazing and people are still talking about it. Even though it rained (it better be true about luck!), Mrs Veronica and her team along with Stephanie White ( Events Full Circle) and Daisey, made the sudden indoor wedding was perfect!!!! My decor and cake were put together exactly to my vision. Mrs. Veronica made sure no one went home hungry including us as the bride and groom! She took over as “Mom” of the event so the Mother of the Bride could relax and dance the night away! A beautiful venue in rain or shine!!!! Uptown Catering was delicious!!!!

    Amazing venue to work with!

    As a photographer, this was a beautiful venue to work at! Grounds are big for different backdrops and the scenery is amazing, especially a sunset. very helpful staff as well.

    My daughters wedding

    This place did a fantastic job with my daughter’s wedding. Everyone was so accommodating. It’s such a beautiful venue and the value you get is much more than any other venue. It was so nice that they provided a wedding planner and coordinator to help us.
    So much is included in the price unlike other venues and the food was amazing!!! All of my guests said that it was the best food and that the venue was beautiful. I wanted my daughter to have the best wedding day and she did because Celebrations at the Bay did a fantastic job!! Highly recommend!!

    Aimee Liebman is a Gem

    I don't know how we got so lucky in being assigned Aimee as our Catering Supervisor at our wedding at Knollview House. She not only was responsive, kind, thoughtful, professional, highly experienced and knowledgeable at her job, she saved the day many times over. Whether it was helping the DJ get a signal for his music, hemming my gown so that I wouldn't trip over it during our First Dance, gathering everyone together at the end of the wedding for our sparkler send-off, or creatively finding a way to get my grandson's corsage to stay affixed to his shirt, she was invaluable to helping our wedding become the most wonderful day of our lives and a most memorable day for our guests. We will not soon forget her. We highly, happily, and without hesitation recommend her and Knollview House as the best ever place to have a wedding in the area.

    Best Day Ever!

    We got married in the Chesapeake Ballroom at Celebrations At The Bay in April. From the initial consultation to the the minute we packed up and left the venue, everything went super smoothly! Everybody was so helpful and the day was flawless! Mother Nature helped provide us with a beautiful evening for our outdoor ceremony. The setting on the water was perfect. Our day of coordinator was great. The apps were all amazing and the crab cake was worthy of being called a “Maryland style crab cake”. We really believe we had the best day ever and are super thankful for everyone that helped us along the way!

    The Coates' Juneteenth Wedding

    I experienced the fairytale wedding of my dreams at Celebrations at the Bay. My account manager, Esther helped me stay on track, during the planning. The food was excellent, and my Day-of Coordinator, Verinica was like my fairy godmother in my fairytale. She went out of her way to make sure the timing, decor, and execution of everything that day was perfection. My guests have been reaching out to me and I was told, "that lady that was running the show had everything running like a well oiled machine." I didn't have a care in the world on that day because Ms. Veronica and her team executed with the highest degree of professionalism, coordination, and courtesy I've ever seen, and it was sprinkled with fairy dust to top it all off! The entire experience was so worth what we spent and I will recommend Celebrations to absolutely EVERYONE I know with upcoming weddings!

    Stunning, perfect Day!

    Celebrations from the day we started looking for venues has been nothing but accommodating and top tier service. Our wedding was gorgeous, food was amazing, and all of the staff friendly. I can not say enough good things about this venue!! We had the best day ever, and we can’t thank you all at Celebrations enough!!

    How to top perfection on our special day

    From start to finish my wife and I were walked through and thoroughly explained all of the nuances that I’m sure most every couple have to navigate for their wedding day. Each member of staff, from the food and beverage crew, day of coordinator and our event planner were so helpful, receptive and accommodating to our thoughts and ideas. Delicious food and drinks in a beautiful setting! We really felt like the entire process was seamless and well worth every penny.

    The Knollview house amazing

    I don’t know where to even start! We had plans on getting married at the bayfront we really like the view everything was beautiful but things happen Covid jobs life ect. Ann if you get the chance to meet her she is simple amazing she keep me calm we found another way to make our wedding still happen (anniversary twins now) she always worked with me and was always there when needed even though it was her wedding anniversary she still checked in on me the day of which really means a lot! Then I got the chance to meet Esther one of the most nicest person We had the pleasure of meet as well very laid back very good energy to be around and I appreciate her showing me the knollview house and we FELL IN LOVE. Tracy was our point of contact up to the wedding and I know I definitely over did the questions and emails but she was there for me and my now husband on every single question we had she made sure we understood And got back to us right away! Lastly my day of coordinator

    Perfect Setting

    We loved our experience with Celebrations at the Bay. Everyone was always so responsive for all the questions we had, and worked with us to make our wedding unique. Our venue was the tent in Pasadena and it offered the best options of indoor and outdoor. The beauty of a tent with the convenience of a sturdy dance floor and weather protection (though the weather was perfect). We also loved the all-inclusiveness - it really took the stress out of wedding planning. And we are still getting compliments about the food! Rosa was an amazing coordinator! She made sure everything went smoothly and went above and beyond, like adding extra flowers we had to our cake to make it extra special. We loved our wedding day here!

    The perfect venue and catering!

    Celebrations at the bay was the best choice we could have made for our venue and catering. We got married at the Knollview house and Celebrations catered our cake, food, they even took care of our center pieces. They made are day so amazing!! The team was so kind and helpful for anything we needed. They made sure to bring us a plate of food while we were taking pictures so we could take a moment to enjoy the food that we picked for the starters and run us more of the ones we liked. This also came with a day of coordinator and she was incredible! She brought champaign the the getting ready room for the girls while we waited and worked with my MOH to get any last minute things taken care of before the ceremony started. Then after the ceremony she brought my husband and I a special drink to toast our happy moment together and it made the moment even more special! The food was by far the best! All our guest have made a note to tell us how great the food was! I would recommend them to everyone!

    Best Decision Ever!

    First of all, the location of the venue is gorgeous. It sits right on the water and has a temperature controled ballroom tent that is beautiful. I choose Celebrations at the Bay because it was a turn-key experience. They handled the catering, alcohol, cake, linens, etc. This meant that I had fewer vendors to coordinate and manage. Breanna was the first person we met and she spend the time giving us a tour, answering our questions and ultimately letting us know which dates were available. Once the contract was signed, Ya-Maila worked with me on the planning. She did an excellent job with the tastings and everything was arranged exactly how I wanted it the day of wedding. On the day of the wedding, Veronica nailed every detail! She had champagne chilling for me and my bridal party when I arrived, helped me relax (as I was experiencing a headache) and ensured that everything went off without a hitch! She kept us on schedule and meal service was perfect (ensuring special meals were at the right place setting). She even noticed that my husband and I didn't have a chance to eat so she packed up our food in a to-go box. I can't speak highly enough of this venue and the staff. They are incredibly capable and very experienced which meant my husband and I could just enjoy the day!

    Awesome awesome experience

    My husband and I had an awesome experience at this venue! Weeks later, our guests are still raving about the quality of the food and the level of customer service they received. I am especially grateful to our venue coordinator, Veronica. She made my wedding day stress-free. I did not worry about ANYTHING! All I had to do was ask and she delivered. She went above and beyond!!! Words cannot describe my immense gratitude to her for all she did.

    Great Venue

    We just got married this past weekend and it was amazing!
    We first met with Jill at Celebrations at the Bay who helped us decide the Tented Vista would be the best venue for us. She was so responsive, made several proposals for us to show us how to get the best cost for our guest count, and knew exactly what she was talking about.
    We then began working with Katie after signing our contract. Katie helped us plan the entire event with what was needing on the venue side. She hosted our tasting, answered all questions we had, and was super responsive. Katie was great!

    Our day of coordinator was Karyssa and I can't say enough good things about her. She was so nice, kept the event on schedule, and helped with everything. She was running around all night making sure everything was perfect.

    The view of this venue is amazing. We were also able to use the Knollview house for pictures on the dock.

    The food was amazing and guests couldn't stop talking about it. Your guests will leave stuffed! The Lobster Bisque Martinis, bacon wrapped scallops and chicken quesadillas were some of our favorites. We got Steak & Crab cakes for dinner. Before our tasting I thought guests would get super small portions, but the tasting size is the size each guest gets. the plate is filled with food.
    We had one guest unexpectedly bring their toddler and they brought out a kids meal for her. The mother was so grateful and thought it was so sweet of the staff.
    The entire wait staff was so nice. They kept wine poured throughout dinner & were able to serve all the food so quickly.

    I can't say enough good things about this venue. You won't regret having your wedding here!

    Dream Wedding Became Reality

    My Husband and I said our "I Do's" on 6/11/2022, in the Chesapeake Ball Room at 11am. Catering by Uptown/Celebrations at the Bay was the 1st and only venue we looked at, from the fantastic value for your money including décor, cake, catering etc., to the breathtaking water view, I cried and we knew this was the place. Stephanie, our day of coordinator. I can't say enough great things about her. Meeting the day before to go over everything, and what happens if its pouring rain? Remember I said 11am start time, it was raining all morning, so I text Stephanie at 7am and said lets move the ceremony inside, she responded right away with no problem and got it done! Everything was perfect from beginning to end. Thank you for making our dream wedding a reality!

    What a Beautiful Day

    Celebrations at the Bay was perfect place for our wedding! The outdoor wedding and ballroom reception were just beautiful and we had an amazing time!! Alma, was our day of coordinator and she was amazing! This is a great venue!

    Dream Come True

    My husband and I chose the Tented Ballroom side of Celebrations for our wedding ceremony and reception. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue on the water with beautiful views. From start to finish Celebration and Catering by Uptown was so helpful and accommodating. Every update and change I had, they quickly made to our plan. They made sure we had the drinks and food we wanted. They made the year of planning extremely easy and fun.
    The peak of my work with Celebrations was when I met our day of coordinator, Amy. She was THE best coordinator we could have ever asked for our wedding. She was so on top of things, so organized, and so calm. I told her how I wanting things ran and the details of my decor and she made sure everything was set up perfectly and the day ran smoothly. I am someone who is type A planner, who double checks everything, and trusts very few people to do their job properly. Two minutes into talking with Amy, I knew I would not have to worry about anything anymore. I got to 100% enjoy my entire wedding without worry - something I never thought was acheivable. I highly recommend Celebrations by the Bay and Catering by Uptown. I only hope I can somehow get to use them in the future because one day was not enough.

    Dream Wedding from a Dream Team!

    We had our wedding at Celebrations 2/13/2022
    I can not give them enough praise for how flawless they made my wedding day. I contacted a bunch of different venues around 11pm one random night and to my surprise Anne emailed me back right away. I quickly set up a meeting to see the venue and immediately fell in love. Eileen showed us the place she was so over the top friendly and felt so familiar we booked right away! We wanted to get married on the water but also stay inside. The big beautiful bay windows surrounding the place made a wonderful view now matter where you stood. The planning portal they providing made it a breeze and stress free to set up my tables, processional etc. Tracy was my rock star helping me pick out my center pieces linen/table choice (they had so many options) not to mention we where able to sample all the delicious food choices. Any time leading up to the wedding I was able to reach my dream team any time of day! Eileen ended up being my day of coordinator and let me tell you what she felt like family at this point she put so much love and care into my wedding day making sure everything was perfect. Every little detail was absolutely perfect if anything went wrong I could not tell the team at Celebrations made sure my day was flawless! Thank you for my dream wedding from my dream team!

    Amazing experience!

    Celebrations at the Bay was absolutely perfect for my big day! I needed an all inclusive venue since I didn’t have time to look for my vendors individually. They made all of my dreams come true and then some. Ya-Maila was so helpful along the way and made the planning process so easy and Chelsea was an amazing day of coordinator. Even when things were running behind due to guests not showing up on time, Chelsea kept everything flowing smoothly and made sure there was still plenty of time for dancing! I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!

    Beautiful Wedding Day!

    We were originally supposed to have our wedding in March 2020 at Celebrations at the Bay. Catering By Uptown was willing to work with us on postponing our wedding. The whole planning process was a stress free experience and we highly recommend using Catering By Uptown for your wedding. The day finally came and everything was perfect! The venue is absolutely beautiful with ample parking. The food was SO good and everyone raves about it! Our main entrée was the crab cake and filet mignon with mushroom sauce. All the staff on the day of were very professional, friendly, and helpful. Our day of coordinator, Caroline, was THE BEST and definitely made our day amazing and stress free! we highly recommend having your wedding at Celebrations at the bay!

    Amazing and Professional

    I couldn’t say anything bad about this place. From the moment I signed my contract everyone was professional and accommodating. The venue was amazing and beautiful all my guests were taking away by how beautiful everything was. My day of supervisor was awesome she made sure I was happy and got everything I needed and wanted.     Amazing Staff and Beautiful Venue

    Our wedding was fantastic, thanks to Celebrations! The staff was so kind and helpful, and our coordinator, Eileen, was God sent! She was such a joy to work with and made our wedding day stress-free! We had the ballroom venue with our ceremony on the deck.     Tented Vista

    From day 1 I knew this venue was for me. Growing up on the water I wanted a tented wedding that was Waterfront. Maddy our planner was amazing and our DOC Eileen was a god send. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and I owe it to those two women. Highly recommend!

    Absolute perfection!!

    We could not have been more happy with this beautiful venue! From our first virtual meeting with Anne, to our email correspondence with Tracy and our in person planning day, to our fantastic day of catering supervisor- Eileen, everyone was spectacular! Tracy was incredibly responsive to my MANY emails. Eileen was absolutely amazing!! Everything day of was perfect, we didn’t have a single worry or stress. The venue itself was gorgeous- the lighting, the water, the food, everything! We would highly recommend Celebrations at the Bay and Catering by Uptown!!

    The BEST Maryland venue for your money’s worth with the smoothest dream coordination team a bride could ask for.

    We can’t give this venue enough stars, our wedding planning process with celebrations from first visit has been exceptional. Anne Portell went above and beyond being available and helpful with our contracts and any questions or amendments we had, to our planning specialist Cassidy Zagone who guided us easily through all our planning and coordination and any crazy questions that popped up, to our day of coordinator Eileen who just made our wedding day so beautiful and smooth and unforgettable.
    We immensely enjoyed our tasting and planning session with Cassidy, the food is excellent and we loved everything we tried. The venue was beautiful the day of, the decorations we dropped off were arranged so beautifully by the day of staff and they handled any unexpected bumps in the day so smoothly. For a bride who was looking for a venue to include a majority of wedding coordination (bar options, catering, glassware/linens/chairs)- This venue handles it all with the highest professionalism so we could focus on other aspects of the wedding planning process.
    We chose to get married in the tented ballroom, and the only complaint we experienced was the wedding party not being able to get ready at the venue but we were able coordinate that logistic with our transportation.
    We absolutely recommend this beautiful waterfront venue to anyone looking for a stunning Maryland wedding.

    Best Venue and Staff!

    Celebrations has amazing views and venues, but the tented vista ballroom was perfect for us! The staff helps you plan from the moment you sign your contract. Our day of coordinator Carissa made sure the day went smoothly. It was perfect! Getting married in front of the bay was a dream come true. Celebrations being all inclusive (cake, drinks, food, plates, chairs, table cloths, etc.) made planning so easy.

    The biggest blessing

    If I could give this vendor 10 stars or 100 stars, I would. I don’t think their advertisements do them justice. I had my dream wedding and for an EXTREMELY, BEYOND reasonable price. Katie and her team were PHENOMENAL. She worked with me every step of the way from the food tasting to the layout and design of my wedding. Don’t get me started on the food. My guests stated several times that this was the best wedding meal that they ever had. Oh my gosh, the cake is not only included, but was AMAZING from the design to the taste! My guests raved the entire time about the venue and everything that was offered. Everyone needs to book this company, if you don’t, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!

    Perfect Venue

    Everything is all inclusive. They do the food, venue, day of decorating, day of coordinating and scheduling. Our day was perfect because they handled every last detail. We were scheduled to be in a smaller venue and because the larger ballroom didn’t book they let us move to the ballroom inside. Family owned and so wonderful, we would recommend to any couple getting married.

    Uptown Catering

    If you would told me that we could pull off a “Covid” Wedding in 3 weeks...I would’ve told you that you were crazy! Well...Jeff and Shonda, along with the Uptown team did just that! Knollview House was the location...the atmosphere was priceless! It gave the perfect backdrop for my Amazingly Beautiful Wife on our special day.

    I’m very appreciative of the time and attention shown to our family in such a strange time...what thought was impossible became a very beautiful reality.

    Covid couldn't stop the love!!

    Where to even begin? My daughter chose Celebrations as her venue last July, love at first sight! She had Maddy as her awesome wedding planner and we were all set by Jan with most details done for the June wedding. Then Covid struck. Maddy always remained in contact and provided updates as the quarantine lingered into April and May. We then were given the option to postpone at no cost, and due to her fiancé’s military obligations, we could only move it back one month.
    July came, the venue was open and Brittany, the amazing day of coordinator came into our lives. She went above and beyond to make the wedding the best it could be despite the craziness and circumstances we are in. Our guests wore masks, we danced with masks but so what? We had FUN and were able to still have the wedding. The food was absolutely superb, drinks were plentiful and everything was just perfect. The staff were all very friendly, and were working so hard all night with the new regulations in place ! I cannot recommend this venue more to anyone!!! And it is just a BEAUTIFUL venue!!!! Thank you so much !!!!

    Beautiful Venue, Amazing Food & Staff!

    Celebrations At The Bay was an absolutely amazing venue for our big day! Since day one of speaking with them, they were kind, professional, diligent and catered to our every need.

    During the process, Cassidy and Anne helped us with the venue information, showing and food tasting. Alma was assigned to us as our "Day of Coordinator" and she was great! She helped out with everything from the timing of the event, to decorations, minor details - you name it- she was on top of it. She kept telling us "Your job is to have the best day ever and my job is to take care of everything else!" :)

    The venue itself was absolutely gorgeous! We chose the Chesapeake Ballroom but for whatever reason, the venue next door was not being used- so we did our Bridal Party photos there as the rest of the guests came in for the ceremony. That really worked out nicely! The ceremony was held out back overlooking the water and it was absolutely gorgeous! The reception was inside and was the perfect size for 125 guests.

    Our first look was on the dock overlooking the water and it was literally a storybook moment. To top if all off, we were treated to a full rainbow across the entire bay as we were taking photos! Having a rainbow in our photos at such a beautiful venue- there are simply no words....

    The food was absolutely amazing! All of our guests kept commenting on just how good the food was. As the bride and groom, we were well cared for, constantly having Hors d'oeuvres & appetizers handed to us before the big meal. This was a huge plus- as we are always hungry!

    Wonderful experience

    Celebrations was amazing to work with! They are an inclusive venue. They provide ceremony and reception space, catering, bar, cake, day of coordinator, and other necessary staff.

    When touring Anne was very energetic and upbeat. She answered all of our questions, or was honest and told us she would have to look into it and email us a proper answer.

    After booking, Lauren helped coordinate appointments and helped with any questions we had about their planing website. She checked in via e-mail often, and responded to any e-mails in a reasonable amount of time.

    Our day of coordinator, provided by the venue, was Aimee and she was beyond amazing! She definitely made sure I didn't have anything to worry about that day, she did a fantastic job at keeping everything on track, and even if we made last minute changes to the time line, she was on top of it ( having a Sunday wedding means we ended up moving things up as we went) .

    Everyone we worked with was great and we had a wonderful experience with them!

    Wedding Dreams Came True

    I had a two day-bi cultural wedding at Celebrations at the Bay and the team there made my wedding dreams come true! From their kindness, professionalism to the level of accommodations they made for us for our unique wedding, they truly were the best team and venue to work with! Outside of the standard necessities for an American wedding they also were able to make all the accommodations for a South Asian Bangladeshi wedding. They were able to provide halal food for all of our guests both nights, were flexible and genuinely excited by a ceremony of a different culture and even had their own vendors (such as food and staging) that were necessary for the Bangladeshi ceremony. They are extremely hands on and helpful during the planning process and day of they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and most importantly excited for your big day! Thank you for the wedding of our dreams Celebrations!

    Breathtaking views and amazing experience all around!

    My husband and I were married at Celebrations just about 2 weeks ago and we were so happy we picked this place for our ceremony and reception! We wanted a waterfront wedding and this place was everything we envisioned at a price right in our budget! We had our ceremony and reception on the Vista Tented Ballroom side on a gorgeous day in mid-August. All of our guests were blown-away with the breathtaking views of the water and greenery when they walked in. Celebrations actually has 3 venues within this particular property and there were 2 other smaller weddings happening at the same time as ours, however we did not even know because of the amazing acoustics and the way they separate and stagger each event. Celebrations was the perfect place to make our wedding vision come to life and we are so happy we picked this venue for our special day!

    A blast experience!

    Since the moment we got in touch with Olivia, she was always being very kind and attentive with us, always making sure we were understanding each point and giving her best to make our day as much perfect as it could be. Olivia and all the team who worked in our special day did a great job.     This venue is AMAZING. We got married on the ballroom side and our ceremony was on the deck overlooking the water. We had phenomenal weather which made for a picture perfect ceremony. The venue is simply gorgeous no matter whether you decide for the ballroom side or the tent side. The staff is beyond compare. I don't think we would have been happy getting married anywhere else. Other venues we looked at were ok, but once we saw the view we would be having, we knew Celebrations was the only choice. We loved that everything was included. We did not need to hire a wedding coordinator/planner or find a caterer/bakery. It was effortless and stress free. We loved our consultations and deciding on how we wanted the tables set. There are endless patterns, colors, cloth textures, folded napkin styles, flatware, and more, to choose from. They take care of it all. Not to mention, there are a variety of beautiful centerpieces to choose from as well. I was honestly worried that we needed to "jazz up" the centerpieces but they were beautiful as it. Celebrations really knows what they are doing. They are also super flexible. There were modifications to the guest count AFTER the final headcount was due and we were accommodated. Cindy and Eileen were beyond amazing to work with. Both so friendly and always willing to help. The waitstaff was off the charts spectacular. They were very attentive and polite. They all had a smile on their faces. Some of our guests had been to weddings at Celebrations before and they left our wedding saying it was better than when they had been previously! I can not say enough good things about Celebrations by the Bay. The food was amazing, all the guests left every well fed! With (most) everything taken care of by Celebrations, the wedding planning process was very stress free and easy!

    Marissa and the entire staff at celebrations at the bay are amazing! Our wedding was flawless and they tended to our every need and want. I cannot say enough about how great Marissa was as my day of coordinator. She made me feel at ease and I really was able to enjoy our wedding day. The decor was exactly as I imagined. The food was delicious and she even helped to make sure my guests were able to use a cotton candy machine that I provided. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure everyone had a great time. I highly recommend celebrations at the bay, you will be so happy on your big day!

    I had my wedding on 9/3/2017 at the venue and I loved it! I knew I would. I had a brunch wedding and the ceremony was outside on the pier. It was amazing. Everyone loved the food. Ms. Vicky the day of coordinator that comes with your package is the absolute best! She kept me calm, she helped in so many ways even with my outside vendors. Because of her, everything flowed, she made sure that it was the best day ever. I wouldn't change anything about where I held this special day! Oh and the pictures and video were all amazing as well because the venue has such a lovely backdrop!

    We were married yesterday and from the beginning back in January our experience has been nothing but extraordinary! Celebrations first made it a possibility to come view the place the day we called! They worked it out for us on short notice. Once we decided this was it Katelyn contacted us. She basically communicated with us to set up our tasting. She was ALWAYS very prompt in answering my many email questions! When we met her for the tasting she was very knowledgeable, professional, but most important to us, she was so warm and friendly that we felt like we were making arrangements with a friend rather than with a business!
    The next few months Katelyn went farcabd beyond the service we ever were expecting. She always made us feel like it is our day and made sure everything was to our liking! And again, always answered my questions promptly and closer to the date there were many!
    For our actual wedding day Ashley would be taking care of us. I must say who ever was following Katelyn had some big shoes to fill and Ashley was just as great as Katelyn!
    She first told me that I am the guest and I will not have to worry about anything, that was her job and she was true to her word.
    She ran out wedding professionally but yet so politely! She took care of us as if she knew us, and wanted us to have a special day the same way our friends and family wanted us to!
    She kept to our time agenda without ever being pushy and always with a smile!
    If you want to be married at a place where they plan for you like you are a friend rather than some stranger then Celebrations at the Bay is for you! And I must mention the surrounding! With the bay as your back drop makes for a beautiful and romantic setting.

    Everyone helping with our wedding was very responsive. Brianna was wonderful during our consultation and viewing the venue for the first time. Cindy was very responsive during the process of designing or wedding look and food tasting. Aimee was our day of coordinator and helped make my vision come alive. She was very helpful making sure all decor was placed how I had hoped and made sure I stayed calm during the day. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a wedding with a spectacular view and an awesome staff!

    This venue is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I had found this venue online years before my husband and I were even engaged, it was on Pinterest and the pictures were amazing. Three days after we were engaged, we went to visit the venue, it was a beautiful morning in July, and it was STUNNING! The idea of getting married there made me so giddy, and my husband loved everything about it. We had the tented ballroom side and it did not disappoint! That day we had them draw up a contract and we signed it and gave them our deposit on the spot. It was our dream space. We didn't have a specific date in mind, just that we wanted it to be summer of 2016, so we took the next and basically only available one they had.

    The planning journey had begun. This place includes caterer, food, bar, linens, tables, chairs, place settings, staff, cake and much much more! The planning night you have is where you meet the wedding coordinators and go over everything you want for the wedding, linens, table settings, food tastings, it was this night we met Sandra, our wedding coordinator. SHE IS AMAZING!!! I am a very particular person and was an extremely particular bride, I had a vision and Sandra helped bring it to life! She did everything and I mean EVERYTHING to make sure all my details were in place, if something went wrong that day I didn't know! She even hand picked the staff so that our day would run as smoothly as possible. Our wedding day was beautiful and magical and I owe it to all her time and patience. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    Memorial Day weekend wedding for 170 people. Beautiful venue with views of the Chesapeake. The food and service is nothing short of awesome. The planning staff (Miranda Clark) and day of coordinator (Elisabeth Olateau) were terrific to work with and made sure that everything was thoroughly and well planned and executed smoothly. Everyone had a wonderful time and it was an memorable event for our daughter and son in law. We also used many of the parent company (Catering By Uptown) preferred vendors: Maher Florist, Hampton Inn BWI as base hotel, and DJ Delights. Tom Gavin at DJ Delights in particular was awesome and really kept the party going. Everyone was up and dancing the whole night. A great experience.

    We just had our ceremony and reception at Celebrations and it was perfect! Eileen was our coordinator and she was amazing. I didn't worry at all because she was on top of everything. She went above and beyond to help give us a perfect wedding. She was so helpful and even took all of our ceremony floral arrangements to decorate the reception space, making the most out of our beautiful flowers. The food was great and the venue was beautiful. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather, which gave us an amazing view of the water and sunset. I would definitely recommend Celebrations to anyone looking for a beautiful venue.

    The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. The venue is picturesque and welcoming. All the staff are incredibly courteous, professional, and kind to guests. The office staff is phenomenal as well (they responded to my emails usually within the hour). There is an incredible selection of hor d'ouerves and entrees and the once selected the food is delicious and amazing. Everything about this place was wonderful for our wedding and I couldn't be happier. The only "flaw" I would say is the price in that things may be a bit over-priced. However, the experience more than compensates.

    We had our Vow Renewal at Celebrations at the Bay August 22,2015. It was in the middle of the day - I thought it would be very hot, but with the bay breeze it was perfect. The location is perfect, we had about 60 guests, white chairs set up on the deck with a gazebo. The Chesapeake Room was beautiful, windows covered one whole wall, so you could see the water. They had a pier that was perfect for taking pictures, along with beautiful landscaping. There was a bridal room for the girls to get dressed in - they set it up with whatever we needed. They also have a tent on the property, that is used for much bigger parties, then we had.

    Celebrations at the Bay was WONDERFUL! Our guests have not stopped complimenting the food, the venue, the bar service, staff, etc. We picked Celebrations because we knew we wanted to have our ceremony overlooking the water. The location is stunning! They also had a great "rain plan" which was much better than some of the other locations we had visited because I did not want my guests to sit a dinner tables for the ceremony if it had to be moved indoors. We selected the ballroom which allowed guests to move into the cocktail room if the ceremony had to be set-up inside and then return to the ballroom after it was rearranged for dinner. Thank goodness we went with Celebrations because Maryland had it's rainiest day of the year on our wedding day. Despite the rain, the large windows in the ballroom overlooking the Bay made for a great backdrop. Everything went smoothly and we couldn't have asked for a better day. We worked with Eileen who was our day-of and she was amazing. Celebrations was so flexible and worked hard to ensure that we got everything we could have wanted for our wedding day and still within our budget!

    Great venue and great staff!

    My husband and I got married on 11/27/21 and had a great experience with Celebrations. From the beginning with Bri, we knew that we loved the venue and wanted to move forward with picking our date. Throughout COVID and postponing, the planning and contracts team were extremely responsive and very helpful. I never felt overwhelmed or stressed which was amazing. For the day of, the set up was beautiful and every detail I had given the day of coordinator (THANK YOU CHELSEA!!!) was perfectly executed and the food was fantastic. The day could not have gone any more spectacular, the staff was friendly and was very flexible. Only thing I wish could've been improved was the amount of appetizers brought out to the bridal party while we were taking pictures and waiting to be announced into the reception- we had a few trays brought out but wish there was more (because the food was incredible).

    Would highly recommend this venue!!! Thank you for making our day a fairytale!!

    Two Brides - No Bridezilla

    We picked Celebrations at the Bay solely based on the view and the excellent service we received from Heidy. Heidy was the one we met in the beginning for the tours and any questions we had before the contract was signed.

    Our wedding was 2.5 weeks ago and we are still getting told how incredible it was. The food was phenomenal, the view was stunning and the service by each and every worker was incredible.

    I can't say enough good things about our day of coordinator, Eileen. She always had a smile on her face, and was always on top of the next upcoming event on the timeline. She never missed a beat. Any time we needed her, she was right there ready to help with a smile.

    The only negative thing (which isn't very negative) was that our aisle runner never got laid down for the ceremony. Only because they had just power washed the deck to make sure everything was clean and pristine for our ceremony. We didn't even notice until two days later. How on earth could we be mad about that!

    Being a lesbian couple, we were really picky about our venue. We reached out to a ton of different venues who said they were LGBT friendly but we didn't get a warm welcoming feeling from them. Celebrations was the exact opposite. They aren't just LGBT friendly, they are full of LGBT love. Not one single person from Heidy, to Eileen, to the day of staff ever once treated us any different.

    Our day was perfect and so was our experience with Celebrations.

    We had our wedding here two weeks ago and I'm so glad we did. Planning a wedding is stressful, but the Catering by Uptown team has got you covered. Every time I started to internally freak out about all the planning to be done, my planning coordinator Katelyn seemed to have a sixth sense about it and reached out to see how things were (or sometimes to address the very question that had been on my mind without me asking). In the end, while Katelyn got me through the long planning process (we booked over a year out), Aimee stepped in as my day of coordinator and was ah-mazing. I was nervous we hadn't talked until about 2 weeks before the wedding and didn't meet until 2 days before BUT I quickly realized when I did meet her, nothing to fear. She was a big part of making our day go smoothly and working out hiccups. She made an effort to and did understand my vision on all things and made it happen! I am so thankful to Aimee, Katelyn and the whole team who worked on our wedding. It was beautiful. Everything I wanted. So happy I trusted this most important day to Uptown's expertise!!!

    The only thing "negative" I would say is it is a bit pricey, but it really was worth every penny so if you can afford it I would highly recommend!!!!

    Our wedding was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We searched for waterfront ceremony/reception venues all over Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina and Celebrations at the Bay was exactly what we were looking for. They answered all of our questions (and trust me, there were a lot) in a timely manner, were incredibly flexible with us, and gave us exactly what we wanted. Our day-of coordinator Aimee was AMAZING!!! She helped us get the look we wanted and put so much together on the day-of. I couldn't have been happier with the service we received ans our guests were raving about the beautiful venue. Not to mention, the food, provided by Catering by Uptown (who owns the venue) was phenomenal. Our wedding was perfect, and so much of that is due to our venue.

    We took the big side of the venue for our wedding. The site was beyond beautiful with stunning views of the water and great little spots for photos. The planning coordinator Miranda was incredibly helpful and flexible. Elizabeth, the day of coordinator was also terrific, but she ended up in half my bridal photos because she was running all over the venue trying to get last minute things done. The food was outstanding, and the cake they provided was also a big hit. There was ample space for dancing and a great lawn when people needed some fresh air. The bathrooms could use a little updating.

    The most beautiful wedding

    My wedding was Fantastic! I was a nervous bride. Nervous about everything going smoothly but the entire staff of Catering by Uptown made sure of that. The food was very exquisite and delicious. Shonda was very knowledgeable and was able to give us advice and ideas that we loved. Messi was my wedding coordinator and she has a heart of gold. We met only 4 days before my wedding but it felt like I knew her for a lifetime. She truly paid attention to every detail. She was patient with me and I could tell that she was truly happy for us. This is important to have a genuine person coordinating everything because they become as personally invested in the success of your day.
    The MC even took time out to acknowledge Messi and the catering staff as their hard work and professionalism was very evident.
    Big up to Shonda, Messi, Jeff, and the entire team at Catering by Uptown. Our guests were impressed too so I know you'll be getting some business from them.

    Perfect and Intimate wedding

    We are happy with the decision of getting married at this all-inclusive venue at Celebrations at the Bay. We fell in love with this intimate yet elegant ballroom reception hall and waterfront ceremony. We fell in love with this venue because it offered an all inclusive package with the food, cake, drinks, basic linens/dining ware, basic guest table centerpieces (e.g. hurricane glasses with floating candle). Other features we loved were the elegant chandeliers, vaulted reception ceilings and mirrored ballroom. I also liked the venue because it offered several sceneries to take photos with our photographer:the waterfront deck/dock and intimate garden, and the day of coordinator was even flexible with us taking first look photos at the house venue next door 1 hour prior to the wedding ceremony. Our day of coordinator was amazing! We were very pleased with how everything turned out with the food set up and the table set up for the guest, cake, escort cards, polaroid guestbook table, and gifts etc. The food/cake tasted and looked good and they offered a 1 day tasting to select food for our wedding menu, to select the cake flavors and to select basic dining ware/linen selection at their headquarters. The day of our wedding was perfect. I was worried about parking and noise from the tented venue next door but they staggered the time of our wedding ceremony 30 mins prior to the other wedding ceremony next door in the tented venue. I was happy with how responsive they were to my emails and answering my question during the wedding prep process.
    I would recommend this venue to any bride or groom looking for an intimate wedding.

    Catering by Uptown was wonderful. My wedding was at Celebrations in the Chesapeake Ballroom with the ceremony out on the deck overlooking the water. It was absolutely breath taking. The food was super delicious. (I'm still getting compliments from guests about the food.) It was very convenient that they handled so many details that allowed us to focus on other things of the day. They took care of the food, cake, linens and chairs and of course provided the amazing scenery that we will never forget. The planning people were a little difficult getting in touch with throughout the process which was a little stressful at times. But everything came together on wedding day perfectly. Eileen was our Day of Coordinator and she was fantastic. Very calming for our nerves and lots of great ideas to make the day perfect for us. Highly recommend!

    CBU Exceeded Our Expectations!

    Maria and I would absolutely recommend Catering By Uptown for a wedding ceremony and reception. We chose the Knollview House for both and would choose it again in a heartbeat! From the very beginning and throughout the process, CBU were attentive to our requests, helpful with suggestions and created a seamless experience that helped Maria and I focus on enjoying our big day with family and loved ones.

    It was a great day. Eileen the day of the event coordinator was great cant say enough about her. She was fabulous that we were not aware of things going on because she took care of it all without making us aware of it. The serving staff were very quick with serving my guess.     Our overall experience with Celebrations at the Bay was a very good one. Our Sales Rep, Michael was very easy to work with and worked within our budget which was a HUGE deal for a couple who were paying for more than 1/2 of the wedding themselves! Celebrations is an "all-inclusive" venue which means it includes, your food, drinks/alcohol (which includes an OPEN BAR), table, chairs, linens, and china, OH and it includes your cake as well! (We opted for a cupcake cake and the bakery was happy to oblige and did a phenomenal job). The food, cake, and chocolate covered strawberries were OUTSTANDING. Many of our guests even commented on how good the food was and said it was better than most wedding they had attended. There were a few hiccups along the way (i.e. having to call to find out when our tasting would be, not being on the list when we showed up for the tasting, and being told to call a specific bakery only to find out they no longer were associated with Celebrations). The staff however redeemed themselves and went above and beyond to meet our needs from then on out. Despite those hiccups the ceremony/wedding went off without a hitch. The venue is beautiful and overlooks the Chesapeake Bay. The grounds are perfectly manicured and there are white lights around all of the trees. Our coordinator, Mary was overall very responsive to our needs and kept the ceremony/wedding moving. She made sure everyone knew when it was their time to go down the aisle, etc. She made it seamless as did the staff. We were fortunate in that the weather was great during the ceremony and it only rained for about 5 minutes while finishing up pictures. Once the rain cleared up, we were even more fortunate to have a rainbow come out. It was a perfect evening albeit way too fast!

    My fiance and I will be getting married here in 2016. We knew we wanted to get married on the water and when we stumbled on Celebrations at the Bay (one of Catering by Uptown's venues) we knew we had to get married there! It was so beautiful and the view of the bay is fantastic. We are having a fairly large wedding (170+) guests and the tented ballroom on the property is perfect for our reception. You honestly can't even tell that you're in a tent, it has tile floors, drape ceilings, chandeliers, a covered outdoor patio, and phenomenal clear sides that look out over the bay. The venue grounds are beautiful, there is a pier to take pictures on and the venue also owns the lots next door to it, so there are so many places to take pictures! We are really excited for our wedding date and can't wait to see what it will look like!

    Catering by Uptown and Celebrations at the Bay offered us a good value for an incredibly beautiful location. Theyl policies are flexible and all the details they include are very helpful. The stickiest issue is the people they hire. The wedding coordinator and the day of coordinator (doc) we had were not easy to work with. The doc was passive aggressive and defensive. She was even overheard saying "I don't care, it's not my wedding" then blamed saying that on being pregnant. If you use this venue hopefully you'll get better service than we did.

    Chesapeake Ballroom

    We had the wedding at the Chesapeake Ballroom (inside the building). It was such a picture perfect location with the spacious inside, large windows, and outdoor deck for a ceremony right next to the water. They've gone through some renovations with a wood like flooring and changed the posts on the deck fences to be wires, which gave a better view to the water. Our guests could not stop talking about how stunning the location was.

    Our venue contact person was Zoe, who worked with us to plan the tasting and the layouts and timeline up until the week of. She was so responsive and helpful, answering so many of my questions and dealing with multiple changes in the guest list and meals. A few days before, they'll assign you a day of venue person who will run your ceremony. This part was not something that I enjoyed, since you won't be working with Zoe and have to explain again all of your wants to the new person. I'm not sure how well it would have gone with just the venue person, but we had a month of coordinator that we hired who managed all of the large items for us.

    The venue has set up our ceremony sides wrong and the reception tables wrong but we were able to catch these fixes and they made the changes immediately. I'm also not sure what happened, but they messed up our meals and gave us the special meals that we had actually only requested for two of our guests (they had their meals right though).

    The food was good, we had crab cake and a seafood pasta as our proteins with sides of vegetables and mashed potatoes. Even my family who doesn't really eat American food enjoyed their meals. Our vendors who got served the same food as guests mentioned how it was I've of the best vendor meals they've had. We got packed leftovers of so much food, including two meals, cocktail hour foods, chocolate covered strawberries, and the top of our cake, which was a nice touch when we were tired the day after.

    They are also a little strict with some things, such as what they will set up for you and the 1.5 hour time limit that vendors could get set up which is really short. We got ready instead the morning of at a nearby air BNB. There was an AM wedding on the same day as us so they had to do a really quick clean up before we can come on-site. The bathrooms were just kind of okay too.

    Overall, we chose this location for its aesthetic and location relative to its guests but it turned out to be so beautiful. It was very nice and spacious and the hiccups that we had were small.

    Beautiful Venue

    I fell in love with the view of this venue and was happy to get married here. They were very helpful in keeping me updated with everything since it did decide to rain all morning then again 45 minutes into my wedding. Everything was great except they did not follow the dietary guidelines we provided. There were people served shrimp that were allergic but other than that everything was amazing.

    We chose Celebrations based on their gorgeous venue at the bay. There were a few scheduling and communication issues in the beginning which were quite frustrating however once I started working with Shonda everything got better. I can not say enough wonderful things about Shonda. She truly goes above and beyond for her brides! Because of her and her staff my wedding day was absolutely flawless. If there were any issues I had no idea because Shonda handled everything and made sure I was taken care of. Celebrations at the Bay is such a beautiful venue and the food is amazing! I'm so happy I chose to have my wedding there.

    Overall, Celebrations at the Bay is a gorgeous place to have a wedding!! Everything was absolutely gorgeous!! Pretty flowers, great place to get ready, overall an absolutely gorgeous venue!! The only complaint I would have would be the wedding coordinator I had. I was originally set up with one, who I believe later left the company, and no one picked up my info. I then had to call them in order to set up a wedding coordinator, and I felt like she was so overwhelmed I didn't get the quality that I should have! I was then promised another wedding coordinator who was with the company for ages, and I absolutely loved her, but the actual day of the wedding, she was no where to be found and I got a brand new wedding coordinator who I did not feel really knew that she was doing. I think my experience was a one-off, but overall all my guests had a great time!!

    We got married at Celebration on September 12th and our wedding was beautiful. Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our planning process. The day of our wedding was extremely hectic because it ended up pouring all morning before our ceremony. Because of the rain our event coordinator set up our ceremony inside the ballroom until my husband came about 20 minutes before our ceremony and asked her to change plans since it was supposed to stop raining. Our coordinator was very helpful and she quickly had the staff set up the deck and break down the ballroom. However, because of all of this there were things that definitely went wrong. There are two things I would suggest doing if you decide to book with Celebration. First definitely pay the extra money to have a day of wedding planner. They told us in our sales meeting that we wouldn't need one with the event coordinator, but I feel like the things that went wrong would have been caught if we had hired a day of planner. The second thing I would suggest doing is making sure you go over every small detail you want for your layout and linens. I made a detailed floor plan with labels where everything went and they used the wrong linens on half our tables and placed our centerpieces in the wrong spots.
    Also, FYI in our initial sales meeting we were told in the event of rain they would divide the ballroom in half with pipe and drape. If we had of had our ceremony inside that wouldn't have happened. They had lined both sides of the room with our reception tables and set up chairs in the middle.
    Aside from the small details a bride worries over everything about our wedding was wonderful. The food was AMAZING!!! We had a wonderful time and so did our guests. The venue is truly beautiful and great for pictures!

    While we couldn't be more pleased with our wedding day-of execution, the planning process with the Celebrations and Catering by Uptown team was a bit of a headache. It was extremely hard to get a hold of the planners (which you do not know who will be running your wedding until week of) and the planning website is a bit dated and not very user friendly, which is where they receive most of their information since they have several planners working on several weddings. However, when it comes down to the day-of, the event was flawless and the quality of service and value did outweigh the headache leading up to the day-of. The food, drinks, and views were exactly what I imagined for my big day and I would recommend this venue to anyone. Although, if I could go back and do anything differently, I would have hired a wedding coordinator to alleviate some of the planning headache with the venue.

    I want to start by saying that, when my wedding day finally came, everything was absolutely perfect. It was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. The reason for the lower overall rating is what I experienced during the weeks leading up to the wedding. There was little to no communication from anyone at the venue, and when there was, the people I spoke to seemed to know little to nothing and treated me, my mom, and my husband like we were an inconvenience. When we booked the venue, we were under the impression that everything was included in the initial cost, with the exception of additional guests. We found out later that there was a $500 charge for a rehearsal. When I called to schedule the rehearsal, the person I spoke to acted annoyed and said, "do you think you need a rehearsal? If you do, it costs $500." That was quite off-putting. Anyway, we hadn't heard much from anyone for a while after that. Two Fridays before the wedding, my husband called to give the final headcount and pay for the additional guests, and the person he spoke to said that she would send him the invoice on Monday. She did, and he sent in a check that day. A few days later, we were told that they couldn't accept his check because they didn't receive it within 10 days of the wedding. When I asked when they received it, I was told that they "picked it up" from the post office the day I spoke to them, which was a week after he sent it. Had they picked it up when it was delivered, we wouldn't have run into this problem. When my husband called to discuss this with them, one woman told him that they don't pay their employees much, so we shouldn't expect much. They, then questioned whether or not his check would clear. (This was a $2800 check. A prior $30k check cleared without a problem.) He and I were very taken back by that and though it was absurdly unprofessional and inappropriate. That being said, our day of coordinator, Amy, pretty much saved the day and my sanity! Thanks Amy!!

    Good venue but can use improvement

    My husband and I got married here back in November of 2019 and its taken me forever to write this review but here I am. First the positives:

    The Property - The property itself is very picturesque and in fact makes for very beautiful pictures on a beautiful sunny day. We had our wedding on the Chesapeake ballroom side and there was another wedding on the other tented side.

    The Planning - You initially work with one of the sales managers, (I worked with Jill), followed by a planner, and finally a day of coordinator. Haley was absolutely phenomenal. She was super responsive to my every question and trust me I had so many. She was very knowledgeable and just made the planning process so much easier.

    The Food - When my husband and I went for our tasting appointment, I have to be honest we were extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. It was tasteless and did not leave a great impression. However, fast forward to the day of and my guests' opinion was that the food was amazing. So they could've just had an off day, the day of our tasting. The cake though is SO delicious. The only reason I went with an outside baker is because celebrations only does basic designs for wedding cakes and I wanted to something specific.     And now for the negatives; granted some of my comments relate more to my personal planning experiences rather than to the venue itself....

    The Property - Needs a bit of updating and refreshing. Some of the furniture is worn and outdate and it could use some fresh paint. In terms of the ballroom side, I was told that 150 people would fit comfortably and they couldn't be more wrong. We had about 147 people confirm and about 15 people ended up not showing up. So we still had well over 100 guests and that ballroom is NOT made for 150 guests. It is extremely tight in there mostly in the space where we had the cocktail hour. There were so many people and sadly our timeline was thrown off by one mishap and we unfortunately did not get to take any pictures outside. There is no place for the groom to get ready. So he must come ready with his party. If the other side is not booked they MAY (and that's a big maybe) let you use the other side to house your groom and his party (particularly if you're not doing a first look, like we did). Do not plan on getting ready there, it's not enough space for the bride AND her party to get ready there.

    The Planning - Beware of their sales pitch. While they mention it is all-inclusive, keep in mind that they charge extra if you want to have a rehearsal dinner there, plus you have to coordinate it with them because they are constantly booking the place. They only show you the cost of their required minimum amount of people which is 120. Bear in mind that you will end up paying at least 5 or 6k more. We chose to have our wedding on the first day in November because of the huge price difference between months/days. Ideally, we wanted to have it in October when the weather is not too hot and just getting cooler but because of how expensive October was, we took a gamble and chose the beginning of November. Unfortunately, the weather was SO cold on the deck and while they mention that you can bring the ceremony indoors, I just don't see how that could've worked when after the ceremony, they have to flip it back to the reception décor. We were FREEZING out there on the deck and I felt so bad because two days earlier it was 70 degrees outside. Of course, we have no control over mother nature, I just mention this to help other brides with their planning so you don't go through the same thing I did.

    The Food - Like I mentioned before, the food turned out good but the negative that I see is that there is no kitchen on the premise so the food is cooked elsewhere and brought in. So if you are behind on schedule (as we were), they will start to rush you so that the food does not get cold.

    Other - Before you commit to this venue consider a couple of things (1) how big your wedding is - if your guest count is anywhere near 100, look elsewhere because that many people will not fit comfortably there (2) granted you are having a small wedding, consider having it in the warmer months because late fall is just too much of a gamble in this area (3) get a planner - while they offer a day of planner (you need someone else who is fully vested in ensuring your day goes as planned). your day of coordinator works more for the venue than you. We had Elaine and she was very nice and accommodating but did not do much at all. i I just felt like it was pure chaos that day and there were so many people coming up to me that night and shouldn't have been. so please GET A PLANNER if you can afford it. (4) ask as many questions as you can seriously, no question is silly. it is a huge commitment and you really need to be sure.

    Overall, celebrations is a good venue for those who want to have a small intimate wedding, in warmer months, and don't want the stress of doing everything from scratch and would prefer an all-inclusive venue.

    So upsetting

    First I let the coordinators know multiple times that I had family members and friends that were coming to the wedding who had a fish allergy what I chose was fish and chicken, and I asked that they be separated. They were not separated, not only where they not separated, but even when I put in the special request to have certain people served with only chicken because of the fish allergy, they were served with fish and chicken.

    Secondly, I paid $120 for Guest book and because I forgot a pen(which they had and I could have gotten even if they did not ) they had Everyone put in a heart without signing it so I have no guest book for my wedding

    No one was on the same page, I understand you don’t want to “bother the bride” but this was so unprofessional on so many levels

    If you want a beautiful waterview and do not expect the professionalism, honored committment, responsiveness, and top notch service your money paid for, ...then by all means have your event at Celebrations at the Bay. We were extremely disappointed. My grandmother was in tears when I arrived to meet my groom. Not because she was happy, she was mortified by the blaring music next door at the simultaneous event. (After we were told 24 hrs before that there wasn't another event). My beautiful string quartet during the pre ceremony could not be heard over the loud music. That is only the worst of the bad experiences we had with this company Catering by Uptown. The one good thing is that people say the food was delicious. Perhaps catering is their forte, I can assure you event planning/coordination is not. We are so disappointed just three weeks later. All of the hard work we went through shattered to smithereens because of someone lack of attention to the details we worked on for 8 months. Sigh....please do not make the mistake we did.
