ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!! 😍 I truly don’t believe anything could have gone better on our wedding day! From the day we stepped into the venue property, I immediately knew that we had to have our wedding here! Pictures don’t do any justice on how beautiful this property is in person. The owners and Lindsay the daughter were amazing and helped along the way answer all the questions we had. I couldn’t recommend this venue more! Thank you for being apart of mine & my now HUSBANDS love story! -

I would give Cedar Springs 10 stars if I could. My now husband and I considered about 30 venues (!!!) before Cedar Springs, and we instantly knew Cedar Springs was right for us when we visited the space. The property is full of natural beauty that the staff tend closely. The staff’s passion for their business is reflected in the fact that they find new ways to improve the space each year. For example, this year they replaced the roof of the gazebo, installed sliding barn doors adjacent to the gazebo, had a mural painted, and constructed a new live-edge table intended for signing marriage certificates. I also had a wonderful experience working with both Betsy and Lindsey. They were friendly, professional, and accommodating throughout the entire wedding planning process. Lindsey is an exceptional communicator, usually responding to my emails within a matter of minutes. I visited the venue multiple times before our wedding, and Betsy stayed with us during each visit, answering all of our questions thoroughly. Sadly, it rained on our wedding day, but the staff was unphased by the weather, knowing exactly how to use the covered, available spaces to facilitate a lovely and intimate ceremony. I also appreciated that the venue has separate “get ready” rooms for both members of the couple, a rowboat for couples’ photos, and a fire pit for s’mores. Our venue was one of our favorite elements from our entire wedding—I HIGHLY recommend Cedar Springs. I hope I get to visit for a celebration again someday. -

I've been looking everywhere for that perfect venue, and I knew it was here the moment I saw it. Nature blooms here, with beautiful gardens, a large pond, streams, and so much greenery! It was my perfect fantasy wedding, proclaiming my love on an island, in the middle of the forest. I'm so happy I got married here! -

The venue was absolutely perfect! It was the first and only venue we toured and looked at — and we knew immediately that it was the one. The staff was very helpful and responsive through the entire wedding planning process. I would recommend booking this venue a year in advance because it does book up fast. We will always remember our special day here and the beauty of the venue. -

Perfect Wedding Venue
Last weekend our son married the woman of her dreams at Cedar Springs. Our guests all commented on the magical feeling of this spectacular venue. From the wedding island, where the bride was able to cross a bridge to her waiting groom; to the gorgeous tent area, complete with chandeliers and the covered dance area with a beautiful fire place. Speaking of fire, there is a wonderful firepit where guests made s’mores; an adorable swing for taking pics and a large game area. A huge thank you to Betsy for making this day one that will never be forgotten! -

This venue is stunning. Absolutely stunning. I think they've raised their prices a little since 2018 but honestly they should have... I got it for an absolute steal at $3,000 for a 120 person wedding on a Friday. They set up their tables and chairs for you, they take down, they host awesome open houses, and almost no decoration was needed because the gardens and lawns are so stunning. My only wish was that the dressing rooms were larger- but I believe they plan on working on that in the winters so it might be ready now. BEAUTIFUL venue, INCREDIBLE price, and guests LOVED it. I got so many compliments and people thought we paid a fortune. If you're local, it's so worth it! -

Beautiful venue. In the planning process, they were always quick to respond to questions and were very accomodating when we needed to see the venue a couple of times out of their normal hours since we live in another state. It all felt very relaxed, and yet so efficient and professional. Day of, they were fantastic and so helpful with anything we needed. Everybody loved our venue, and the set up was perfect! -

Jason Sent on 09/26/2017Absolute perfection! The venue is spectacularly beautiful and couldn't be more perfect in feeling secluded, even though it is near Tacoma. The venue staff were so professional, helpful and accommodating. Literally every guest we spoke to at the wedding said it was the best place for a wedding they had ever seen or heard of.

Our wedding was a fairy tale. Lots of guests said they wanted to have a real wedding (vise their covid weddings) and do it at this venue because it was so gorgeous!
The only negative I will say is that LOTS of the decorations, you have to pay more for. Curtains they hang up that make the place absolutely stunning, they charge more for, chandelier, lights etc. The place can definitely stand on its own without it and be gorgeous! Just if you do a walk through, make sure you note what you'll have to pay extra for.

We got married at this gorgeous venue end of July this year. We first visited this venue when nothing was bloomed, the trees had no leaves and it was just the rainy time of spring beginning – we were still sold because we could see the potential of these wedding grounds. But on our wedding day in the midst of summer – I fall in love again and again every time I look at our photos. The venue sells itself and every guest of ours reminded us of that. This place is an absolute hidden gem and we wanted our big day to be outside in the middle of nature’s purest beauty. This venue represents all the beauty the PNW has to offer. There is plenty of room for our guests to feel comfortable and mingle throughout the grounds of this land of greenery and summer blooms. I cannot rant enough about how great Lindsey was to correspond with – I never met her, all electronic correspondence – but she left a lasting impression on me because she answered all the worried, frantic, “needing more detail” questions you think of as a Bride at 10:30 at night & there she was answering back or first thing in the morning. To work with a vendor who accommodates as much as she did (changing our seating chart layout 3-4 times) and with patience is what you need in a venue.
Another big win to us was that you can bring in any caterer you want. The venue has all the tables and chairs and drapery and a tent. We wanted something that allowed us to include what we wanted (the food we want) and still had all the equipment that we did not have to hire in to complete an enjoyable evening with our closest family and friends.
Lastly but not least - what a fun memory to float away in a cute row boat as Newlyweds and relive like you are actually on the notebook (do not cue the raindrops, nobody wants that on their wedding day outside)
I will say the bummer is that your rehearsal has to be on a Thursday (because they tend to have 3 weddings on a weekend on the popular summer weekends) – tough for guests out of town, especially ones who are needing to rehearse in your wedding. But if that’s the negative, I’ll take it.

Cedar Springs as a venue: Great. Beautiful. Perfect. On-site cooperation by one of the venue owners: Not professional at all.
Cedar Springs is a BEAUTIFUL venue. It was perfect for a summer wedding in the garden with plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy, no matter what our guests chose to do throughout the night. Overall, the business experience went very smoothly (that is operated by the owners’ daughter, Lindsey, who is communicative and efficient). We received multiple prompt reminders for the paperwork that we need to have ready to go, what we needed to provide the venue, and even had access to their new planning software to provide them with the seating chart and general venue set-up map ahead of time. Attending two open houses at the venue also helped us ground ourselves and visualize how we wanted everything to go prior to the event.
Our one grievance against the overall experience, and the reason we rate the Professionalism for this venue with 2 stars and not more, was the numerous negative interactions our wedding party and family members had the day-of the event with the on-site manager, an owner of the property, Betsy. I should have known my group was in for a tougher experience with this venue owner when she made her disapproval known about how we were setting up for the ceremony (the bride and bridesmaids on the right side looking down the aisle instead of the left – because apparently there’s a “correct” (i.e. traditional) way of standing at your own wedding ceremony).
Our party was extremely organized (complete with a packet of to-do’s per person, everyone owning a specific task during set-up and teardown, family vehicles being pre-assigned for décor and wine, etc.). We brought in plenty of our own décor, but the group was efficient with set-up and teardown, including all the off-loading and re-loading into family vehicles after the event. Our party was highly respectful of the venue’s various spaces and grounds; no one ran around the property, damaged anything (we got our damage deposit returned in-full), or were rude to the staff or our other vendors; and our wedding party was so thorough with cleaning up after the event that they found Betsy’s phone for her, which she had misplaced earlier in the day.
However, Betsy made it known that she did not approve of our wedding décor or movements. She made multiple comments – besides how we 'should' be standing for our ceremony - including one to the groom himself about how she thought we were a “high-maintenance couple” and had brought in “far too much décor than what was necessary.” SO unprofessional to vocalize to someone who's paying you thousands for a 12-hour day and had already gone through the stress of postponing their pandemic wedding. Clearly, I'm still aghast over it months later...
For all future clientele: Lindsey will work with you efficiently to prepare for your event and complete all business information necessary. Come prepared to run your own show (hire a day-of coordinator who’s on their game and will advocate for what YOU have planned!) and make any questions or concerns you have about venue/on-site movements clear up-front.
Also, have someone close to advocate for your willing and clear compliance around this venue’s strict policies about the grounds, alcohol, and other amenities.
Then, to avoid as many rude remarks about your personal taste and hard work put into your wedding (décor, style, etc.) by Betsy, communicate your plans for decorating the venue with perhaps a list of the DIY materials you’ll be bringing in ahead of time (this may help them wrap their minds around your event in advance, complete with the plans for getting everything in and out of the venue in an organized fashion). This was a natural planning step for me, but I understand if it wouldn't be for you.
If that prep is too much work for you, though, and not your style of wedding prep, then please go spend your money somewhere else. Your wedding design, hard work, and well-coordinated family/friend team should all be respected by the venue owners you select for your big day.
