We had a wonderful experience working with Catering Works for our wedding at the North Carolina Museum of Art! They are the in-house caterers for the museum, as well as the venue coordinator, and they clearly had so much experience and wisdom hosting weddings. Their open house events were really helpful for trying many different food options. We were really particular about the food and event layout, but also worried about cost. We worked with Hollie for our menu selections, and she was so patient with us making many many alterations and comparing the pricing of different meal plans. We ended up serving short ribs and salmon, and they were both delicious! Julie worked with us and our coordinator through so many different layout options. The museum was an absolutely beautiful space for our wedding, and Catering Works did a fantastic job on the food and venue coordination!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Catering Works!!! We had the absolute pleasure of working with their team for our 2025 November wedding and every little detail was immaculate.
We had originally hired them for our wedding when we were getting married at a venue in Raleigh, which ended up closing shortly after our booking, but Catering Works did not hesitate to ensure they were still part of our day even through the transition of booking a new venue. And although a lot of the preparation stations were different from our original venue to the new venue, they stepped up to ensure we still had a 5 star experience for us and our guests, making it work no matter where our big day was taking place. Their ability to pivot with us and still provide support throughout was so appreciated.
As for the staff itself, we worked with Nicole, who ensured every detail from the bar needs to appetizers, small plates, late night snacks, desserts, and the main course were thoroughly thought through from start to finish. Even after hundreds of emails back and forth and phone calls, she was incredibly kind and gracious throughout answering every small question with enthusiasm.
We not only enjoyed the amazing food, but the staff as well. They were an incredibly kind group and made everyone feel welcome and acknowledged throughout cocktail hour and the reception.
We cannot recommend Catering Works enough to any future brides/grooms as well as any other major life events where amazing food is a necessity! -

We used catering works for our wedding caterer and couldn't have had a better experience!
Kelli was our point of contact from the beginning and we really enjoyed working with her and valued her assistance. She was personable, professional, timely with her email responsiveness, and knowledgable. She was really helpful with creating our menu during the tasting. They had lots of options for serving trays and display trays for our dessert table that allowed us to customize it to fit our decor. They set up the dessert table display without needing guidance from us and matched the aesthetic perfectly!
We chose to do passed hors d'oeuvres and a buffet style dinner. They made sure to have the hors d'oeuvres pulled aside for my husband and I to have during cocktail hour. They were incredibly accommodating to our guests who had dietary restrictions as well. The food was incredible and we got nothing but rave reviews from all of our guests. The staff onsite on the wedding day was very attentive, not only to us, but to all of our guests. They were continuously refilling drinks for everyone and made sure service ran smoothly. Staff was also efficient at the end of the night with clearing all the rental items and decor.

Okay, so it's been four whole years since our wedding, but honestly, the memories of the food and service are still crystal clear – and still make our mouths water! We seriously hit the jackpot with Catering Works. They absolutely crushed it and made our big day even more perfect.
Let's talk about the food first – it was beyond perfect. We had 4 passed horderves during cocktail hour, all delicious, especially the duck corn cake. A server came out to us and our bridal party with a tray for us to nibble (plus our signature cocktails) while we took photos, which was truly appreciated because we never had time to eat until then.
Each dinner dish/side was a winner. Like, truly restaurant-quality. Being a Maryland girl, I'm always hypercritical of crab cakes outside of Maryland 😂, but I was truly impressed that I could have a high quality crab cake away from my roots on my wedding day. Our guests still bring up how amazing the meal was, and honestly, so do we! It wasn't just "wedding food," that has become typical at weddings.
Desserts and cake? Oh. My. Goodness. They looked incredible, but tasted even better! We had a two tier cake and a mini dessert bar so we could have a variety. We had gluten free chocolate cookies (my favorite), fruit tarts, macarons, caramel bites, strawberry shortcake (husband’s favorite); seriously, all the sweets were absolutely top notch.
Beyond the deliciousness, the service was just phenomenal. The team was super professional, always there when you needed them, and genuinely nice. They built a plate for us so we could mingle with our guests and came back to a much needed meal. They handled everything so smoothly with my dad's alpha gal allergy and we didn't have to lift a finger. That meant we could actually relax and soak up every moment of our wedding day, which was priceless.
The most meaningful part was the end of the night before we left our venue (The Meadows at Firefly Farm, highly recommend 😍) was the gift basket we were given full of a variety of desserts from our dessert bar, and slices of our wedding cake because we never had time to eat dessert AND a bottle of champagne. Talk about a personal touch, we were so impressed and felt truly cared for.
It's pretty rare for something to leave such a strong, memorable mark after so long, but our caterer totally did. We still rave about them. If you're planning a wedding and want food that'll be talked about for years, desserts that are divine, and service that's absolutely flawless, Catering Works is where it's at. They made our wedding day foodie dreams perfect, and we're forever grateful! -

I highly recommend using Catering Works for wedding!
When starting the planning process, I knew that quality catering was high on my list of priorities. From the beginning, Kelli was amazing to work with. We had an in depth meeting to discuss our event, our needs, our "must haves", any concerns we had etc. This in depth and thorough communication continued throughout our whole process.
We had an amazing food tasting where the staff presented options that were outside of what we thought we wanted and we ended up loving some of the options presented!
Kelli was methodical when documenting small tweaks to their standard recipes, was open to feedback, was willing to discuss any ideas we went to her with.
The day of our wedding, the staff that was at the event was amazing. Every single one of them were professional, responsive, and very friendly. Our food was better than we could have imagined - great portion sizes, hot upon arrival, and beautifully plated. We also had a pastry chef for our cupcake bar and that was a hit with our guests!
Overall, great experience with everyone at Catering Works. In the wedding planning process where every decision feels like the biggest decision, make this decision easy and have Catering Works at your wedding. -

We absolutely loved working with Kayla at Catering Works for our July 2023 wedding! She was so responsive to all of our questions. She was so flexible with everything. We wanted a salmon entree for our buffet that was originally on the plated option menu, and Kayla happily made it work for our buffet. I still dream about that salmon - it was so good! Our guests raved about all of the delicious food. We even got boxes of food for us to take home after the wedding. We were happily eating our leftover catering for a couple of days after our wedding. We highly recommend Catering Works!! -

We worked with Catering Works for our wedding and would highly recommend them to other couples! We worked with Hollie throughout the process - she was so kind, flexible, and patient when I had a million questions. With a guest count of around 135 and a plan to serve a seated plated meal, we were understandably a little nervous about the amount of time there may be between tables being served and the temperature and quality of the food for that big of an event. We were nervous about nothing! All of the food choices we served turned out amazing on the day of and we had guests tell us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding! The servers were attentive and nice. We also booked a bar package with Catering Works for our wedding - would highly recommend this as well. Took the worry out of providing our own alcohol. Catering Works offered good choices for their bar packages and there was no worry of running out of anything! One of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. -

We used Catering Works for our May 14, 2022 wedding and we could not recommend them enough! Kelli was our point of contact, she was responsive, able to answer all our questions, and her and her team delivered the best catering experience for us and our guests. We received so many compliments on the food for weeks after our wedding and the service was top notch. We took pictures during cocktail hour and were worried we wouldn't get to try any of the apps we had picked out, but we had no need to worry because David with Catering Works hand delivered us plates during photos. He waited on us during dinner while our guests attended the buffet, and he made sure we always had drinks throughout the night. He was so kind, patient and simply amazing! If you are planning a wedding, Catering Works is the way to go!! -

We used catering works for our wedding and wedding cake. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent! Despite us starting planning almost two years in advance, they kept the service costs the same as inflation went up. The food was very tasty. We mostly worked with Kayla who was patient and thorough. She also was always quick to respond. Our guests told us that the food was excellent, in particular the desserts. I would absolutely recommend the company and Kayla. -

We hired Catering Works for my wedding with only about 3 months until the big day. Hollie, the catering consultant we worked with, was wonderful. She was super responsive and extremely flexible. She helped us navigate something totally foreign to us and fielded frequent emails and questions from me and my parents. She even met with my fiance, my parents, and me at the venue a couple weeks before the wedding to help ensure that our vision was able to come to life and that everyone was on the same page. It was amazing what Catering Works pulled off with only 3 months to coordinate everything. We received so many compliments on not only the food, but the staff as well. They were all extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and there are so many options and price points to choose from when determining your menu. We were also able to supply our own dessert and alcohol for the event while Catering Works staff served and handled all these items for us. If I could do my wedding all over again, I would definitely choose Catering Works. I cannot recommend them enough!! -

Kelli and her staff at Catering Works were amazing for our Wedding Day! They took care of every details...and the food was delicious. We had wine, a champaign toast, appetizers, international food stations, dessert and of course, a delicious wedding cake! Our guests raved at how delicious the food was. Kelli met with me numerous times and the week before the wedding, she and her team were a part of our "vendor coordination" group meeting to ensure all of our vendors and the venue were in sync. Kelli was responsive, friendly, professional and supportive. She was 550% committed to making sure our wedding day was perfect for us and our guests. Thank you, Catering Works! -

Food was amazing, staff was even better!
We were so impressed with Catering Works and so grateful we booked them to cater our wedding. They were so flexible and helpful during the planning process. We actually booked them without ever having a tasting because their reviews were so good and we were not disappointed. Everything was great and our guests are still telling us how good the food was. My husband and I opted to eat inside the venue alone during cocktail hour and they were so accommodating. They even brought us up each type of appetizer. All of them were great, but the pork buns were perfect. We did 2 signature drinks and both were amazing. The bartenders were fun and efficient. The also got everyone through the buffet line in great time. At the end of the night, they sent us off with plates of food, boxes of our desserts and a bottle of champagne. It was so nice to have them there to make sure everything ran so smoothly. Hire them! You won't be disappointed. -

Best Wedding Food Ever!
There’s a reason Catering Works has incredible reviews. Kelli worked with us to create the most incredible meal that fit the gluten free needs of my husband and mother in law. I’ve been to a lot of weddings and have been disappointed so many times. That was not the case at all with Catering Works’ unique menu that made my foodie heart flutter. We also did our cake and flowers through the company. Our (totally gluten free) cake was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had and my father in law was so impressed that he wants to see about getting the same one for his birthday.
We worked with EW on our florals and they were absolutely incredible. He was able to capture the traditional yet whimsical look I was going for perfectly and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. -

Kayla and her team at Catering Works are an elite level catering provider. Kayla will work hard to win your business by giving you options on your occasion's menu. She will clearly communicate pricing and give you a variety of options. It doesn't stop once she's won your business. Kayla really enjoys what she does and it shows in the final product.
Michelle, the Catering Works Event Manager the day-of, helped execute our event perfectly and everything ran so smoothly. Last but not least, our guests were blown away by our wedding day meal. Many saying it was the best meal they'd ever had at a wedding, and my wife and I couldn't agree more.
If you have a big event like a wedding planned, Kayla and her team at Catering Works are the best in the business. They truly care about making the customer happy and they provide support at every step in the planning process. The next time we need catering for an event, there is only one place we'll turn and that's Kayla and Catering Works. -

Totally open to making ANYTHING for us. We went with Pimento cheese-stuffed chicken, shrimp & grits, and four-cheese ravioli. They even agreed to make a separate dish for a cousin who couldn't have cheese. It definitely helped that we were at their venue, the Laurelbrook. -

We had our wedding at The Laurelbrook in June 2021 and could not have asked for a better experience. Through COVID, I think we planned half a dozen different weddings as things kept falling through or changing. We came to Catering Works with fairly late notice and they executed everything without a hitch. We were able to use them for our ceremony and reception venue, food, bar, and flowers. Kelli was phenomenal in helping us through the entire planning process and David anticipated every need we had during the day-of and was ready to help before we even knew what we needed! Our event was beautiful and hassle-free. Guests raved about the food and venue, and the courtyard provides several fantastic backdrops for photos. I would highly recommend Catering Works and The Laurelbrook to anyone planning a wedding or another event in the Raleigh area! -

Catering Works surprised and delighted us every step of the way for our 11/7 wedding! Due to Covid, we had to find a new caterer on short notice that could do a plated menu for guest safety reasons and I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to find a vendor with about 6 weeks notice OR one that would meet our expectations. Our representative Kelli was amazing with prompt responses, customizing our menu, providing a virtual tasting and setting up all of the details for our wedding. On our wedding day, the staff took amazing care of us and everyone raved about how good the food was. I was so surprised when we unpacked everything to find a beautiful basket with wrapped leftover plates and our desserts along with a bottle of champagne. We felt so taken care of and cannot recommend Catering Works enough! -

We hired Catering Works to cater our small backyard wedding. This was not our original wedding plan, but due to COVID restrictions, we had to make a few last-minute pivots, including finding a new catering vendor. Although having to make last-minute changes is never your hope when planning a wedding, we could NOT be happier with this change. I could not have imagined my wedding day with another catering company. From our first conversation with Catering Works through to the end of our event, every single thing was perfect.
We worked with Kelli to build our perfect wedding menu and service needs. She was extremely responsive and accommodating, and even came to our home to ensure that she was able to provide the team with the exact information needed to make sure our event was perfect. From start to finish, Kelli was absolutely excellent and a joy to work with.
When it comes to the food and the service at the actual wedding, I literally cannot say enough great things about our experience. Every single thing was absolutely exceptional and beyond our expectations. The food was AMAZING, the service was absolutely outstanding and the level of service and food completely elevated our backyard wedding experience.
Every single staff member was completely engaged and attentive to our guests' individual needs - they made every single person feel like they were getting individual special attention. Truly over the top, it really did make what could have been a small backyard wedding into what felt like a real wedding venue!
One of our servers, Stefan, was truly exceptional. He went completely above and beyond our expectations, and made me and my husband feel incredibly special and well taken care of. And that same treatment didn’t just end with us, it was the talk of the whole night! Everyone knew him by name and was commenting on him specifically. Fifteen minutes before our ceremony, we had a power malfunction that caused power to everything outside to turn off. Stefan was right there to help and was extremely calm under pressure, calming down my soon-to-be husband who was probably a little less calm under the pressure given it was 15 minutes until our wedding began!!
At the end of the night, we found our space even better and cleaner than we'd left it. Like I said, I literally CANNOT say enough good things about this Catering Works team. I would hire them for any event I ever do in the future (hopefully not another wedding though!). Thanks so much for such an amazing experience :).

We choose Catering Works as our wedding venue without even trying the food! We are from out of state and were impressed with the customer service we received from beginning to end. The staff we worked with were responsive, flexible with multiple changes and answers all the questions we had. We were able to do a food tasting a month before our wedding, and were blown away! The day of, the caterers were very attentive, fast paced and available for all guest needs. Most certainly recommend! -

Catering Works was a joy to work with for our wedding! My husband and I have multiple food allergies and the staff with catering works at our tasting were SUPER knowledgable and accommodating, we were able to create an incredible buffet menu that accommodated both of our allergies easily. On the day of we were able to have a handful of special plates to accommodate those with food allergies and the staff on site were super knowledgable and through as well, willing to confirm ingredients with us. The dishes we chose were unique takes on some basics and were a huge hit! Our guests were super impressed with food and service and we enjoyed it as well, it was incredible! We could not recommend them more and enjoyed working with the whole Catering Works team! -

Catering Works was professional and flexible from the beginning! They quickly responded to emails and scheduled a tasting for us on our schedule. We asked to change things up on our menu (even had them come up with a new BBQ sauce recipe) and they were more than happy to do it! Their staff was extremely professional and so kind on our big day. I would definitely recommend Catering Works for your wedding or any other event. They make everything easy - from choosing your menu, to online payments, to changing things at the last minute. They even made us an adorable to go box (including a bottle of champagne) that we were able to take on our minimoon! Kelli was a pleasure to work with and all of the staff there on our wedding day was just amazing. Thank you Catering Works! -

Thank you so much Catering Works!! We got lots of compliments from our (non-vegan) guests on the vegan buffet, and we loved the food! Working with Catering Works in advance was like a dream - SO much easier than anyone else I'd been in touch with. They were so accommodating, but without sacrificing quality at all - I feel like they could take any food vision and do it wonderfully. And the price was just right for us! The tasting was great before the wedding, too. At the wedding, they made sure my husband and I ate, which was so appreciated. And they also made a great little basket for us with leftovers after the wedding which was sweet to find in the car! Would give Catering Works an even higher score if I could - use them for your wedding!! -

Having worked with Catering Works previously (we use them for all of our major events at my job), it was a no-brainer that this would be who we would hire for our wedding.
We hired Catering Works for our Labor Day weekend wedding, and we couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out! We are still receiving compliments on how delicious the food was 2 weeks later.
We had an in-person consultation with Kelli, and we worked closely with the team via email to pare down what we wanted our menu to look like. Kelli and Jill were extremely helpful and patient while we decided on what our final menu would look like.
It helped that they were also familiar with our wedding venue and had previously worked with a number of the other vendors we selected. All of this, combined with their professionalism, helped everything run seamlessly.
Having never planned a wedding before, Kelli was extremely helpful in offering suggestions for the menu and even ideas for how things would be plated/presented on our big day.
In the end, Kelli and the rest of the Catering Works team planned and executed: 2 cocktail hours, passed hors d'oeuvres, plated salads, a beautiful buffet-style dinner (with everything clearly labeled), bananas foster station, and our wedding cake.
We were able to do tastings prior to our big day, and the food was incredibly delicious and thoughtfully presented - even during our tastings.
We'd also like to take a moment to point out that as we made our way to our sweetheart table at the wedding, one of the Catering Works staff members came right over to us with two sampler plates of food. They had gone above and beyond to make sure we were fed first so that we wouldn't have to worry about getting our own food! They also checked in with us throughout the evening to see if there was anything else we needed.
Little, thoughtful details like this made such a huge difference - especially when you're caught up in the emotions of the day and facing tons of distractions.
Additionally - at the end of the evening - I was lamenting the fact that I didn't get to have seconds on some of the food... Well, didn't you know that after we had our sendoff and had gotten to our hotel, we discovered that Catering Works had put together a beautiful basket full of neatly packaged food from our wedding!! It was one of the most thoughtful things.
We are incredibly grateful to Catering Works for helping to make our big day so memorable. Food is such a key part of any big event - especially a wedding (believe us - we've been to our share of bad weddings where people complained about the food). We wanted our guests to be well fed with only the highest quality food and beverages, and that is exactly what we got.
Thank you, again, to Kelli and Jill and the rest of the Catering Works team. We will be forever grateful, and we will sing your praises to anyone who asks.

My husband and I were married in June 2019 and we feel so fortunate to have worked with Nicole, the Chef, and EW at Bloomworks. What a team. First of all the tasting was an amazing experience. The food was so good and they sent us back to the hotel with leftovers. We met the Chef and had a great conversation about food and cheese. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about his work. After the tasting we knew they were the ones. We did other tastings but none held a candle to Catering Works. Besides the food the other thing that grabbed our attention was Nicole, what a Power house. She is kind and patient with a fierce attention to details and a supernatural ability to plan and organize. Wow, she should be a Fortune 500 president. Our wedding would never have been as beautiful without her help. We were both living in other states so everything we did was from afar. She held it all together and was always prompt with communication. She is sooooo good at what she does and she has a great sense of style. Finally, I want to brag about the flowers and decor. They were the most beautiful. I wanted a very particular set of flowers for my bouquet, peonies, irises, parrot tulips, and roses...in white and green. He created every piece with such a flair and artisanal sense of composition and aesthetics, everything was stunning. But that’s not all...we were supposed to get married outside, but it rained. EW and his amazing staff busted their a**ses transforming a beige banquet hall into a magical garden complete with gauzy rosette umbrellas, a gorgeous arbor, a tree with all of our favors, and gorgeous centerpieces based on Dutch still life paintings. It was even prettier than the garden. He is a magician. If we do other events in the triangle we will only use these companies. They are 5 star all the way and they made our wedding so special. -

The staff at CateringWorks is amazing. During the planning process and the day of, Nicole was super responsive and on top of every detail. From bringing us food before we entered the cocktail hour, to sending us home with a basket full of treats, they really care about their clients and it shows.
Also, I recommend getting a dessert bar and a small cake because everyone ate at the dessert bar and we got to take most of the cake home with us (which they packaged up for us). The cake was honestly my favorite part of all the food. After Raleigh got hit with 6 inches of snow the next day, my new husband and I sat on our couch eating our wedding cake, watching the snow fall, and it was amazing. Their bar staff was amazing. I had multiple people tell me that after they ordered their first drink that the bartenders remembered them and what they ordered. No long lines at this wedding! They really know what they are doing and I couldn't be happier with the results. -

Catering Works was everything I wanted in a caterer and more. They were so easy to work with and responded immediately any time I had a question or sent them an email. It felt like I was the only wedding they were working on. The food was AMAZING and our friends and family loved it! They even gave us a basket of some food and cake to take with us at the end of the night, which was so thoughtful. -

Natalie Sent on 08/17/2018Catering Works did both our dinner and our cake, and they did an amazing job with both! We got endless compliments after the wedding about our food, and even 3 months later, people are still mentioning it to me! The mashed potato bar, brie and raspberry phyllo cups, and shrimp and grit fritters were all a total hit just to name a few, and all of our guests were impressed that it wasn't your "typical wedding food." I worked with Kelli from our initial consultation onward, and she was an absolute joy the entire time. She was incredibly patient with us when we changed our minds many times or wanted to explore other options. The pricing was very reasonable for both the food and the cake. The staff the day of were just wonderful, especially the catering manager who not only prepared dinner plates for my new husband and me, but went out of her way to come ask us what our preferences were. Not to mention that they sent the two of us home with a basket FULL of food and cake in our "getaway" car! I will definitely be using Catering Works for all of my future catering and cake needs!
