Catering Capers were exceptional and really came through on my daughter's big wedding day with 150 guests! During the planning process they respond immediately. With all of my many questions, edits, complete changes in choices they never lost patience and always stayed professional. The food tasting session was very elegant and my daughter and I felt like royalty. The day-of they left no table unturned even for things I had not thought about. The bride and groom had warm appetizers and their meal served at exactly the right time. All of the food choices tasted exceptional and all of the guests thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The guests were all treated with utmost respect. I was extremely happy with this vendor and would use them again for any event I host in the future and would recommend to anyone looking for not a good caterer, but a GREAT caterer.

My late husband had been a chef, so for our only daughters wedding the food had to be great! Catering Capers exceeded all expectations. The staff was excellent, and I had a chance to meet the chef as they were setting up. These were the biggest hits of the night: lobster shooters and grits and greens shooters. Coq au vin (order extra of this) and even the mashed potatoes were wonderful. The flank steak was tender and juicy even in a buffet setting. Many of the dishes were non dairy and non gluten with none of the guests the wiser. Highly recommended.

Best wedding food ever
We hired Catering Capers for our wedding in Cape San Blas April 30. The food was exceptional, the presentation gorgeous, and the service phenomenal. Cameo was fantastic to deal with and was very responsive, flexible and accommodating to changes right up to the days before our event. Our bartender, Roy, was a big hit and kept the drinks flowing! One of the best parts of our wedding, easily.

We loved Catering Capers!
Catering Capers did a beautiful job at our Feb. 2023 wedding in Tallahassee, FL with floating appetizers and plated dinners for over 120 guests. The appetizers we chose (mac & cheese bites, Asian meatballs, and ahi tuna bites) were all fantastic, and our entrees (steak filets and Tuscan stuffed chicken) were delicious. The staff were so thoughtful and attentive. You hear stories that the bride and groom don't have time to eat at their own weddings, but that was definitely NOT the case here! For a large, formal dinner, I would definitely recommend Catering Capers.

Catering Capers did an excellent job with the food for our wedding! We had a post-ceremony cocktail hour with charcuterie and then a buffet-style dinner featuring Memphis style BBQ slider, Chicken with Alabama white sauce, Mac & Cheese, collard greens, and more! It was all delicious!! Numerous guests also expressed that they loved the food and service! Cameo was also excellent to work with behind the scenes in designing our menu and making sure we had everything we needed (we also booked our bar service, linens, and place settings through them)! The vegan choices they provided also got rave reviews from the guests who had them! Everything was 10/10! We would definitely book them again and highly recommend them!

The BEST Wedding food in Tallahassee
Catering capers is the best wedding food I've ever had! We were so excited to make our custom menus with them! We did passed Hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour, buffet for dinner, they provided all of our dish ware, and even did our Bar service! Talk about an all in one!! Justin answered all of our questions! And they were so great about making adjustments due to covid and changing my wedding date! Justin even took two chicken dishes and put them together! THEY MADE MY WEDDING perfect. The food was AMAZING. The crab cakes were the best anyone ever had. The Mac n cheese bar was sooooo fun and tasted so good people wanted more and more.The staff was AMAZING, so kind and courteous and went above and beyond. It was the small details for me tho. The staff bringing a plate of appetizers to us while we did photos after the ceremony. The special to-go boxes for us the newly weds including one of just appetizers with a sweet note on top. The cake service and the girl taking all the stress and nerves away. 10/10 recommend. They make the day less stressful and the staff is a joy ♥️

Catering Capers did our wedding in January. They had such a wide variety of options for us to choose from it was hard to decide on our dinner menu. Not only was their food exceptional, but they go above and beyond. They arrived early and set up all the silverware and waters at each table. During our cocktail hour, while we were taking photos, they made sure that our wedding party had their own tray of the appetizers that were being passed around to the guests. Before the dinner buffet was open, they had someone make our plate for us so we didn’t have to worry about going down the buffet line. My hubs and I were able to sit and enjoy our dinner(minus the people who came up and congratulated us).
At the end of our wedding night, to our surprise, we had two to-go boxes of ALL the food that was served. I definitely recommend Catering Capers for any wedding or event.

“Best food I have ever had at a wedding.” We have heard this over and over again from our wedding guests. We chose to have food stations instead of a traditional buffet or sit down dinner so our reception would have the feel of a cocktail party. We chose Catering Capers to cater all of the food, provide the bar service, and rent the place settings for our wedding in May. They knocked it out of the park! Wonderful Caterer!
Catering Capers traveled to Apalachicola for the wedding. The food was outstanding. We had a country meal with fried chicken and shrimp and grits. The service was wonderful and they even cut the cake. The clean up went just as well. They were easy to do business with and it was a great experience.

The people who make-up Catering Capers are highly professional, personable and efficient with great gravitas. Owner Justin is very helpful and knowledgable in the planning process. He and his team are excellent in the preparation and presentation. Catering Capers is five star in service and culinary skills. Having spent 30 years producing weddings myself, I wanted to “outsource” my daughters wedding and just be the father of the bride. Justin and his Catering Capers Team met our very high expectations with ease and grace.

Chef Justin nailed it
Catering Capers and Chef Justin did a awesome job with quality of food, presentation, and delivering plated meals to 200 guest in 20 minutes as promised. The butler passed Hors d oeuvres were tasty and varied from green fried tomatoes to bacon wrapped shrimp. They just seamed to keep coming and coming as the guest were enjoy the food, music and of course the adult beverages.
We chose a Duo plate of Crusted Pecan Chicken and a Bias Cut Baseball Sirloin with salad, rolls, real mashed potatoes and green beans. The food and service was outstanding. I walked around during dinner and inquired about the food and everyone was very complimentary.
I met with 3 food vendors including Catering Capers. After choosing a menu, Chef prepared everything we had chosen and it was an easy choice to hire Catering Capers for my daughters wedding.
Not only was the food outstanding but it was more than reasonably priced. Communication during the 5 months prior to the wedding were on point and timely.

Justin Chiricos, Executive Chef/owner did a great job for my son's rehearsal dinner(100 people). He was very creative, responsive, accommodating, and professional. We gave him a theme and he ran with it. Highly recommend him.

Justin and his team were the perfect fit and a wonderful choice for any wedding. We had an assortment of passed hors d'oeuvres and lots of different dinner stations and choices that pleased all of our guests. Catering Capers uses the finest ingredients and provides food fit for any and every "eater". As a bride, the biggest concern is that there is enough food to feed everyone and Catering Capers never ran out of food and had just the right amount left over. We wanted to do something special in addition to our wedding cake and Justin was able to provide many gallons of our favorite Blue Bell ice cream with a variety of toppings to serve with our wedding cake. The power went out for a brief period of time during our reception and Catering Capers never missed a beat. If we ever need to have catering done in the future, we will be sure to reach back out to Justin and his team.

We recently used Catering Capers for my daughter's wedding reception (6/23/18). The food was amazing, the presentation was beautiful, and the staff was fantastic. They served heavy hors d'oeveres and beverages. I had numerous people come up to me telling me how wonderful the food was and how nice everything looked. Nobody left hungry!! I work for a Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Center, and was lucky to be able to Connect with Catering Capers. They have catered several events for us, and I never heard one complaint (which never happens). They were easy to work with, flexible with any changes we needed and open great communication, professional (the staff all looked great), and the food has been top notch, the owner really knows what meals match with your event. We love the partnership we have created with them and look forward to continuing that. I highly recommend them not only for weddings, but any event big or small, you will not be disappointed.

We arranged a memorial service to take place in Tallahassee, FL, Because we live in California, all arrangements were made over the phone and email. We used Catering Capers in our wedding recently (3/17) and the food was amazing! They did cocktail hour, the reception, and an open bar for us. All of the food was so good, and we had numerous people tell us that this was the best wedding food that they had ever had. We had a Southern theme and they hit it out of the park!

We hired Catering Capers for our wedding in mid October of this year and so glad we went with them!! Katheryne was a pleasure to work with throughout! The food was amazing! Even a month after the wedding I still have people telling me how great the food and service was. Chef and his staff are very responsive and helpful with any questions you might have. With roughly a 200 person wedding, we were able to feed everyone quickly with no issues. Oh my goodness Catering Capers is amazing! Katheryne went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. When our original wedding venue cancelled on us, she was right there to help calm us down and help us find a new venue. She even met my family at our new venue to walk around with us. She was there every step of the way! And then the food..it was delicious! We had several food stations and every single thing on the menu was to die for. I knew it was a good sign to see all the guests piling their plates high! They helped make my daughter's wedding a fairy tale. I promise you, you won't go wrong with Catering Capers!

I can't say enough about Catering Capers and working with Katheryne. My husband and I eat healthy and we really wanted our wedding menu to reflect our tastes while still appealing to our guests. Katheryne was extremely creative and came up with the idea of a farmers market table (our town is famous for it's farmers market) and a biscuit bar (the reception was at "The Biscuit Co"). She also suggested pecan crusted chicken, rather than fried chicken, to reflect our southern theme and stay on the healthy side. Not only was she extraordinarily creative with the menu, but the food was AMAZING! My guests are still raving about it!!
They also took care of food and bar, which saved me a ton of work and headache.
I would hire Catering Capers 100 times over.

They nailed EVERY item on the menu, including the hot chocolate bar and the german mulled wine! They are so detail oriented, so organized - top notch service! We got so many compliments from guests that this was the best food they have ever eaten at a wedding. It was absolutely spectacular!!! My wife and I couldn't have been happier with the way everything turned out. Katheryne was very professional and worked with us to tailor our menu and services specifically to our needs. She was always readily available via phone and email to discuss any questions and/or concerns. The day of staff was also wonderful. All members were extremely polite and made sure that everything went smoothly. You really do get what you pay for and catering capers was worth every penny!

Everything was amazing! The food was fantastic, the staff was efficient and friendly, and I could not be happier! We got engaged in Ireland and had our wedding right before St. Patrick's day so we were really hoping to find a caterer who could come up with an Irish menu for us. Katheryn was so helpful during the consultation and when we got the initial menu we were thrilled with every item. We were approached by many guests throughout the night who wanted us to know it was the best wedding food they had ever had, and I agree!!

Catering Capers was recommended to me by a friend, and it was one of the best decisions we made. They have had previous relations with our venue, Maclay gardens, so they were able to get in contact with each other, ensuring everything went very smooth. Coming from a couple who tried to tackle everything on our own, it was very helpful and welcoming to have Kathryn and her staff help guide us through this very stressful ordeal. Whenever we had questions or concerns she was right there. The food was amazing, I didn't get to eat everything unfortunately, but I asked everyone at the wedding (and we have some picky family members), and everyone loved it. We had a few vegans at the wedding, as well as allergies, and they were able to accommodate all of our needs. They were amazing, and made sure our day was a special one!

Where do I begin!!! Katheryne and her staff were absolutely FABULOUS!!!
First off, the way Katheryn was so responsive with me and my planner throughout the process was amazing. I felt like I had nothing to worry about because she were always answering my questions quickly.
The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly on the wedding day. The food was great (the chicken was the fave of the reception, and it was a 3 way tie between the corn dogs, the mac and cheese bites, and the meatballs for the passed food).
I will say I greatly appreciated (as well as the bridal party) how we always had one or two ppl out front with us while taking pics, making sure we had nibbles and drinks. I never felt like we were looking around waiting, because they were always there.
My husband LOVED the fact that after we told the staff how much he loved the lobster corn dogs, they had a little bowl of extras sitting at his place setting at the reception so he could have a couple more. He was in heaven and said that they were better than he remembered.
So so happy with Catering Capers!!

Hennessey worked for Justin in high school, so when it came time to do her due diligence in finding a caterer for their wedding reception, Catering Capers was on a short list to vet. In the end, after talking to her Maid of Honor, Jeanne Pettijohn, herself now a chef, who was inspired by Justin in high school, Hennessey decided that Justin and his team would create the Asian inspired menu the bride and groom wanted at the reception.
It was perfect! Justin is a consummate professional who has great pride in his culinary creations. Our food got great rave reviews from everyone! His team takes care of everything, right down to the sandwiches at the church for the wedding party and boxing the left overs to take home. In our case, they went on the trolley and went with the bride and groom and all their friends to one of their friend's home for another post reception "feast"!

One of my close friends had used Catering Capers for her wedding, and recommended them to me. I am so happy we did! The food was so amazing! I can't even begin to tell you how many people came up to us and said that this was by far the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Normally, you don't really hear people talk about the food. They have such a large selection to choose from! One of the best parts was they sent us home with food too! The chicken piccata was soooo good, and people were raving about the bacon bar! They also have a great selection for vegetarians, the Eggplant Napoleon was out of this world!

I had an amazing experience with Catering Capers. Katheryne, the marketing representative, was incredibly helpful throughout every step of the way. Catering Capers sat down with us to help us menu plan and pick exactly what we wanted. The tasting was incredible, and the food is still talked about months later after my wedding. It made the reception, hands down! The service was incredible, as well.
Something that stands out to me is one of their employees hunted me down during our photo session during cocktail hour to bring us a platter of food so we had a chance to eat! I was SO grateful for that. Another employee also served us plates so we actually got to sit down and enjoy their delicious food, and be energized for all of the fun party! I HIGHLY recommend them. Their menu options are unique and incredible.

I WISH I COULD EAT THEIR FOOD ALL THE TIME! Everything was delicious. From the initial quote, Catering Capers was responsive and helpful. The menu was perfect and our guests raved about the food. They exclaimed it was the best wedding food they'd ever tasted. The staff went above and beyond to help make the day perfect. The only mishap was that we never received our complimentary "To Go" box, so the groom and I didn't get to test everything. But the food we did try was to die for.

In regards to the to-go boxes, as I explained to your mother the event manager misunderstood her request for the to-go's and put everything together in with all the leftovers which we sent her as he thought that it was all being sent with you and your groom. It was such a pleasure working with all the staff at Catering Capers from the first meeting until the last van left the venue. Everything worked with precision even when we had to go to "Plan B" due to weather. Our guests have raved about how top notch everything was: delicious food, staff, professionalism, friendliness and service. Thanks for a marvelous experience.

Big thank you to everyone at Catering Capers who made our day perfect. They were plenty flexible with last minute additions and gluten free items. Everything was served hot and seasoned just right. We received countless compliments about the food and all of our guests went back for seconds. So impressed with everything from start to finish!

Thanks so much; everything was wonderful! We were told over and over, and we're still hearing, how delicious the food was and how wonderful the service was as well. I was concerned that there wouldn't be enough time for us to enjoy the pass-arounds or dinner since we were with the photographer during the cocktail hour and circulating during dinner. Not only did you all make sure we got to enjoy everything, we also enjoyed our to-go boxes. We really appreciated the staff setting the tables with place settings at our coordinator's request, especially since this was a buffet and not part fo the original plan. They also circulated, filled water glasses, provided clean plates for those making a second trip to the buffet, and cleared plates and brought guests coffee at the end of their meals. The person in charge, and I apologize that her name escapes me now, repeatedly came over to check and make sure everything was OK andto see if we needed anything. At one point we were missing a toasting flute that was a family antique, and she looked until she located it in the kitchen. The staff was also so efficient in cleaning up, boxing the leftovers, and helping us to get out of the venue in time. We so appreciate the personal service, from the wonderful lunch delivered while we were getting ready and throughout the entire wedding. You all were terrific in every way, you've been a pleasure to deal with, and you helped make a beautiful day even better.

I couldn't be happier with our wedding experience with Catering Capers. The food was so incredible and I could eat that meal again and again. Chef Justin was awesome at our tasting and took feedback I had on one of the dishes, which I think goes to prove they are really in it to please the customer. Everything was incredible and our guests raved about the food! Thank you for providing the experience we were hoping for! Pam was the lead contact the day of the wedding and she was incredible--so sweet and took good care to make sure my husband and I got a taste of everything! Everyone told me we wouldn't eat but with food like that, I knew we had to! We want that meal again so badly and still talk about it!

We used Catering Caper for my daughter's wedding and could not have been happier with the service and quality of the food. Katheryne was wonderful to work with and was quick to answer all our many questions. We did a food tasting with Chef Justin and were sold from that moment on as everything was fresh and we knew he would be onsite making sure everything was perfect.
Our guests told us that they never waited for a server to come around with food for cocktail hour and that the food was some of the best they have ever had at a wedding.
You can't go wrong choosing them for your event!

From the initial contact, to the tasting, to our daughter's big day, we were impressed with Catering Capers. The food was very good and there was enough for all of our guests; even a bit left over for the bride and groom to take with them. The staff was helpful, courteous, pleasant, timely, neat, efficient, and friendly. We had no complaints from our venue, event coordinator, or guests. We really enjoyed Catering Capers. We did tastings with them and a few others, but were nervous about the transition from small samplers to feeding 120+ people. We went with Catering Capers because my wife had enjoyed their meals at previous weddings. The food was delicious. Justin was really helpful providing suggestions beforehand on pairings of hors d'oeuvres and then with the main plate. We had a great experience with them and already miss the food.

My husband and I couldn't have been more pleased with our choice in caterers. Katheryne and her staff went above and beyond what was asked, the staff was professional and attentive, the food was just as delicious and beautiful as we expected it to be, and we were just so happy with how everything went. Katheryne constantly had a positive, can-do attitude and outlook when things got frustrating with the venue and made our wedding day so special and memorable. The service was outstanding. I will definitely be using Catering Capers again in the future.

Our experience with Catering Capers was oustanding. Katheryne always responded immediately to my countless questions and requests. The tasting was so much fun and the chef was glad to "kick the spices up" for our cajun familiies. The wedding was on St. George Island, and everything was set up and ready to go on time and the workers were so friendly, professional, and kept checking in with us. So many of our guests raved about the food and said it was the best they have ever had at a wedding. The best part was being able to enjoy the delicious left overs the next day with all of our extended family who were still at the wedding destination with us. Catering Capers made this experience worry and stress free!!!!

When I first contacted Kathryne regarding information about their services, I could tell they were the company to go with due to her prompt response to all emails. She is courteous, professional and no matter how many questions that you have, she always responds quickly and within the same day! The food and bartender services were great, their staff professional and efficient in serving our plated meals, no detail was overlooked! They sought me out immediately with any questions and they were ready for each timeline event! When you have a thousand details to attend to, it was great to know one was running so smoothly! It was also very reassuring that when our other vendors asked who our caterer was and I answered they all said "Oh they are great!" You will not regret using Catering Capers!

If I could rate Catering Capers on a scale of one to ten, they would definitely get a 10 and more. I feel so fortunate that I found them and Katheryne for my son's wedding. From the very beginning, Katheryne was concerned about what we wanted and not what she thought we would want as other caterers had done. Her menu was perfect the first time she presented it to us, and her prices were so reasonable. With every phone call, change, addition etc, she was always friendly and professional. I never felt pressured as I had with other caterers that I had called. The bridal couple loved the opportunity to meet the chef and sample what they had chosen. They were able to critique what they had eaten and make suggestions which were noted even on our final paperwork. When the big day arrived, the service was impeccable. I had someone in charge of the entire event present early in the day and throughout the reception making sure everything was to my satisfaction. The final judgement, of course, was the food. We had food stations presenting complete meals at each station. One station outdid the next, and the variety of options was impressive. Our guests were amazed at the quantity, the service in serving, and most of all the taste of the food. Again, a ten for sure. Even the beverage station was a hit and the late evening served Krispy Kreme donuts was a huge success. If you need a caterer in Tallahassee and want the best, call Kateryne at Catering Capers, I am certainly glad that I did. Our 256 guests were very pleased. Diane Ponce Thompson

The whole team did a wonderful job for my daughter's wedding. The food and service was awesome. I would recommend using them to coordinate with other vendors for linens and dishes. It was wonderful not to worry about how much to order.

Catering Capers was SO wonderful to work with. Katheryne answered ALL of my emails and calls (and there were quite a few) so quickly! On the day of the wedding they got there right on time and set up everything perfectly. I didn't worry for one second about them or the food. I had RAVING reviews on the food as well! The servers were polite and professional and super speedy! They made sure to keep the buffet line moving and the tables cleared. Catering Capers was the BEST!

This is our second wedding (as the parents) with Catering Capers. Katheryn was very helpful setting up our plan and worked with us for months in advance of the wedding. Alot of times when I've been to a wedding the food was very average. However, that is definitley not the case with Catering Capers. From the initial menu planning, to the tasting, to the appetizer/meal at the wedding, Catering Capers was very attentive, responsive, and professional along the way. The chef listened to our requests at the tasting in regards to the spices and at the wedding everything turned out just how we wanted. We had passed appetizers at our happy hour and we received a ton of compliments on the grouper and fried green tomatoes. We then had food stations for our entrees and the presentation was gorgeous. Our soup was served in mini carved pumpkins and the shrimp/grits was served in martini glasses. We received so many compliments on how delicious the soups and shrimp and grits tasted. All of the staff at the wedding with Catering Capers provided exceptional service and they were very professional. We received alot of compliments on our wedding, but the food ranked at the top of the list. Catering Capers is top notch and was the perfect choice for our wedding. I would highly recommend them for any event.

This company was amazing! Not only did one of the staff members wear peacock feather earrings (which was my maiden name) but the staff also assembled a plate for one of my bridesmaids who had numerous food allergies. The food was amazing and I have continued to hear about it even 2 weeks after my wedding. Thank you so much!!
