Best Food Ever!
Catering by Kelly's exceeded our expectations! We hired them to cater our wedding at Castle Farms this past September and were extremely impressed with their wide variety of menu items, quick communication, and of course, how absolutely delicious the food was! So many of our guests made a point to come up to us during and after the wedding to tell us how much they enjoyed the food. The staff members were extremely kind to us and our guests, too. Leading up to the wedding, Josh was able to answer all of our questions and walked us through every detail that we needed to be aware of. The bartenders were fantastic and were receptive to us having a few...Catering by Kelly's exceeded our expectations! Delicious and Professional
Being a wedding vendor myself, I talk to countless brides about the other vendors they booked and how their experiences went. I see Catering By Kellys at so many of my own clients’ weddings and hear so many wonderful things about their experience with them and the quality of their food that they were the first vendor I pursued in my own wedding planning.
On the day of, their staff were well dressed and beyond professional. They took such good care of my husband and I and just added so positively to our guests’ overall experience.
We decided on a family style dinner format which was just an absolutely amazing option to have. On the day of, their staff were well dressed and beyond professional. They took such good care of my husband and I and just added so positively to our guests’ overall experience.
We decided on a family style dinner format which was just an absolutely amazing option to have. Our tables shared and conversed over food as if each table was having an elegant thanksgiving feast. The tenderloin was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The chicken was juicy and fell right off the bone. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious.
Josh is amazing to work with. He’s precise with the details and truly makes himself available for his clients. I left the reception hall to get my hair done in the bridal suite and when I came back out every single place setting was immaculately set. They pay attention to every detail. I’ve worked with them on all styles of events, small, large, formal, and casual and they hit it out of the park every time.
You are in the best hands and will receive the best product available if you book Catering By Kellys.

Great food and service
My husband and I absolutely loved our dual plated meal for our wedding last month at Castle Farms, and our guests were raving about the meal and the service received. We had the beef tenderloin and chicken topped with a delicious caper sauce that they modified to have artichokes instead of mushrooms to accommodate my husband's strong dislike of mushrooms and it was AMAZING. This modification was created during our planned tasting prior to the wedding, which we were grateful we were able to organize a few months before the wedding. The servers were wonderful and attentive, bringing us and the entire wedding party beverages after the ceremony, and checking in with us often during dinner to make sure...My husband and I absolutely loved our dual plated meal for our wedding last month at Castle Farms, and our guests were raving about the meal and the service received. The servers were wonderful and attentive, bringing us and the entire wedding party beverages after the ceremony, and checking in with us often during dinner to make sure our glasses were full, our meal was exceeding expectations, and making sure the personalized glasses and cake cutters gifted to us were used. We worked with Josh Kelly during the planning process, he was kind and very clear cut on what to expect the day of, and even provided a list for us on alcohol amounts for us to purchase at Costco to help keep the cost of everything within our budget. We're so grateful for how much Catering by Kelly's helped make our day perfect. -

Catering by Kelly's is the best wedding caterer!
Catering by Kelly’s catered our wedding on 8-1-2020 at Aurora Cellars and we could not have been happier with them! I remember when we had our first tasting with the owner, Dan Kelly. When we arrived at the tasting he said, “I hope you’re hungry.” Dan had prepared four different chicken dishes, salmon, risotto, pasta and two different salads for us to try. We were so impressed! All the meals were excellent and he let us take home whatever food we couldn't finish.
We chose three fantastic entrée options for our guests: chicken moutarde, grilled salmon and vegetable risotto. Smoked gouda redskin mashed potatoes and asparagus with fire-roasted sweet peppers were the delicious sides. The wonderful salad we chose had organic spring greens, a pear infused white balsamic vinaigrette and was topped with goat cheese, dried cherries and toasted almonds. During cocktail hour, five amazing hors d’oeuvres were served: 1) a chef’s display of cheeses, olives, fruits and crackers, 2) bruschetta with fresh pesto, tomatoes, capers, garlic relish, feta cheese and tapenade, 3) swedish meatballs, 4) baked vegetable stuffed mushrooms, and 5) assorted mini croissant sandwiches. As a late night snack, three different flat bread pizzas were served: traditional, pesto with tomato and mozzarella and wild mushroom with asiago cheese.
Catering by Kelly’s knocked it out of the park! The food was outstanding, it was beautifully presented and the service was terrific. So many guests told us how much they loved the food and how impressed they were by the service. We were also very happy with the bartenders, the way they made our signature cocktails and the wine service they provided during dinner. Most importantly, all the food and drinks were served safely to a large group of people during this COVID pandemic. All the servers and bartenders wore masks and gloves and sneeze guards were put up at the appetizer table and bar. Catering by Kelly’s was so professional and we could tell they really love what they do. Thank you Dan Kelly and the rest of the Catering by Kelly’s team! Thank you for being such an important part of our big day. We are so happy we chose you as our wedding caterer! We highly recommend Catering by Kelly’s for your next catered event! -

I had a hard time finding a caterer who was willing to work at my venue. My wedding was held on a golf course, and the reception was inside a barn that is normally used for golf cart storage. There is no kitchen, no running water, no refrigeration, no prep area, nothing! So I needed a caterer who was totally self contained. A lot of caterers were willing to "try" and asked a ton of questions about how many feet to the water and how many feet to the parking and how many amps electrical service and how many circuits and would the DJ be on their circuit etc etc etc. As a busy bride with a full time...I had a hard time finding a caterer who was willing to work at my venue. So you can imagine my relief when Dan Kelly said to me that he could throw a 5-star event in the middle of a cornfield. When I found out he could do this amazing feat within spitting distance of my budget, I hired him. The great things about Dan didn't end there, though. When I found out my venue - who had a liquor license so they had to do the bartending - didn't have glassware, only plastic, I called Dan. He said it would be no problem, of course they could supply all the glassware. He kept saying over and over that they would do whatever it took to make everything perfect. In the end I think I might have paid some extra labor so one person could stay behind to pick it all up at the end of the night, but he didn't charge me any rental fees. I was a little concerned when Dan said he usually didn't do tastings, because our guests were coming from all over the country and WORLD and I wanted the food to be worth the trip! Well, my worries were a waste of time, because this food was AMAZING. We had filet and salmon, with gouda mashed potatoes and veggies. It is quite possibly the best food I've ever tasted, not just the best wedding food! He easily dealt with the allergies that I brought to his attention. On top of that, it was all prepared FRESH, ON THE PROPERTY!! No hot carts, hot dishes, nothing, all fresh, right there. Let me tell you, when he fired up that grill and put the tenderloins on, it was hard to pay attention to the ceremony it smelled so good! In addition, the service was spectacular. After the ceremony, my husband and I stayed out near the ceremony location for pictures while the rest of the guests headed to the barn for the cocktail hour. The catering manager had a tray of appetizers and two glasses of water taken out to us on the lawn - how thoughtful! Then, when we headed back to the barn to start the reception, they offered us "real" drinks while we were waiting to be announced. They were SO attentive, I had no idea I could have even hoped for such good service. And as if that wasn't enough, our guests actually commented on how kind and personable the servers were - and one of the servers actually commented to me on how nice my guests were! So overall, everyone was so happy and I know that the delicious food and professional service were a huge part in making that happen. I had enough to be stressed about on that day, it was wonderful to have 100% confidence that the caterer would not be one of the things I had to worry about. -

I cannot say enough amazing things about the Catering by Kelly's team. Dan Kelly was amazingly helpful prior to the wedding. The day of, everything looked amazing. We were extremely pleased we chose Catering by Kelly's for our wedding reception!! :) Dan was very easy to work with and answered all of our questions promptly! He was kind enough to work with us to do a food tasting on a weekend we were in town prior to the wedding since we don't live in TC so that we could select our menu! Food & service was top notch! And it was awesome that he put together a handful of gluten & dairy free plates for our guests that needed them! It was a magical day! :)We were extremely pleased we chose Catering by Kelly's for our wedding reception!! :) Dan was very easy to work with and answered all of our questions promptly! The food was outstanding and still hearing from guests that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding, especially for having a pop up outdoor kitchen! The wait and bar staff was beyond helpful and knew when to move stars around to keep the flow of the bar going! They definitely helped made the night an amazing one! We live in Colorado and got married at Houghton Lake, MI in June. We booked Kelly’s without a tasting and with only a couple of emails back and forth because of the other stunning reviews. After reading a few pages of reviews, I just knew he was going to be right for us. BEST DECISION we made for our wedding day. It was the one splurge we made and it was money well spent. You get what you pay for with Kelly’s!! It poured rain the entire day at our venue (stopped right before the ceremony!) and our incredible chef still prepped the most amazing meal I’ve ever had at a wedding right there on site! Although the food was outstanding, I will say you are paying for their incredible service. The bartenders were PHENOMENAL, funny, entertaining, and thoughtful. The waitress staff continuously checked in with us and our parents to ask if we’d like a drink or if we’d like them to make us a plate of food. They went ABOVE and BEYOND to make the day incredible. -

As another reviewer mentioned, I also had a difficult time finding a caterer who would be able to fully service my outdoor reception on a private property, which was located near Ludington, MI. After talking to Dan, I knew Catering by Kelly's was the right fit for me. He brought down a mobile kitchen and full dinner and bartending staff, and turned our outdoor reception in to a gourmet event. He and his staff were very professional.
The passed hors d'oeuvres and dinner were fantastic. My favorites were the Chicken Forrestiere, Penne Pasta, and Gouda Mashed Potatoes.
I highly recommend this catering company for anyone getting married in the Northern Michigan area, and specifically if you have an unorthodox event space. Thanks Dan!As another reviewer mentioned, I also had a difficult time finding a caterer who would be able to fully service my outdoor reception on a private property, which was located near Ludington, MI. After talking to Dan, I knew Catering by Kelly's was the right fit for me. He brought down a mobile kitchen and full dinner and bartending staff, and turned our outdoor reception in to a gourmet event. He and his staff were very professional.
The passed hors d'oeuvres and dinner were fantastic. My favorites were the Chicken Forrestiere, Penne Pasta, and Gouda Mashed Potatoes.

We had our wedding and ceremony at Dan's location. From the very beginning of the planning stages, he is very reassuring, very organized. I was planning from Minneapolis and only in town a couple times during the planning stages and every time I was in contact with him, I felt so comfortable that things would be exactly as I had pictured. When we tasted the food, it was so hard choosing the menu only because everything tasted so good! On wedding day, everything was organized and went off without a hitch. The bar staff was excellent with working within our budget and keeping us informed. We had a couple special requests for Dan and he nailed it! The location...We had our wedding and ceremony at Dan's location. From the very beginning of the planning stages, he is very reassuring, very organized. We had trouble finding a caterer who could work our wedding because it was an outdoor tent reception in Bay Harbor. Most caterers were going to have us rent everything separately which would have been a big pain. Kelly's provided all plates, flatware, linens, etc. This made the planning much easier. They also provided bartenders and served alcohol that we provided which saved us a great deal. However, it was hard to decide which was better, the food or the service, since both were excellent. Everyone commented how great the food was and the quality of service was far beyond our expectations. AMAZING food. We got a TON of compliments. (We had the mixed plate with chicken Marsala, and beef tenderloin).. Service was great, especially the bartender, Matt. Awesome that we got such good dinner, apps and service, then we got to provide all the liquid for our open bar. Saved a TON of $$. We highly recommend Catering by Kelly's!!AMAZING food. Delicious! You only need to meet Dan once and he know he's the best! Within minutes he grasped our menu concept and took it to a new level! We had a lot of options to pick from for our menu, and because my husband is a chef, the food was pretty important to us. We were worried that what we chose would not be that good, but it turned out AMAZING!! The display of food during our cocktail hour was incredible. It was quite impressive to walk into the beautiful room and see such a huge display of food. Since my wedding party was out in the limo during this time, Mr. Kelly boxed up the leftovers for us and we ate them the morning after our wedding...enough for many people! The meal itself was the best wedding meal we've ever had, better than the food at...We had a lot of options to pick from for our menu, and because my husband is a chef, the food was pretty important to us.
