We had Cat take our engagement and wedding photos and it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Her positive energy makes it so fun and easy in front of the camera, and she is also amazingly professional and did such a good job wrangling our families and getting through all the group shots on our wedding day. Our photos turned out so stunning, she captured every important moment and details I wouldn't have thought of. Absolutely hire Cat! -

Stop what you’re doing and contact her right now! We are so incredibly amazed and impressed by her quality work, professionalism, and kindness. We booked Cat for both our engagement shoot and wedding photography and we’re so happy with our decision. Before our initial meeting, she had already looked up our venue and had a portfolio ready with all her work that showcased her ability to photograph events with dim lighting and low natural light. Neither of us are very comfortable behind the camera but Cat made us feel like supermodels and directed us perfectly! Not only was she quick but she gave us so many photos! Every time we look at our gallery, it feels like we see another photo that we had never seen before. If we could, we’d have Cat photograph every event in our life. Thank you so much, Cat! -

Flawless!!
Cat is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. She takes the time to care about each and every picture, we were lucky to have her for the short time she was in Ohio. She bared the cold with us for 3 foot deep snowy engagement pictures. She was then there for every moment of our wedding day. Following us along for all of the crazy things we added to our day. She took the time to make sure my dress was bustled correctly and took the most amazing pictures that my husband and I could have ever dreamed of. Her kindness and experience helped em stay calm and take time to be in the moment. Everything was more special because of her and we could not have imagined our day more beautiful photographed! -

My husband and I couldn’t have found a better photographer to capture our experience. cat is so helpful, lovely, talented, and kind. as a trans woman it was really important to me to have a photographer that was understanding, and I love that cat pulls for diversity in the wedding industry. she is worth every penny 💗 -

Honestly we can't say enough amazing things about our experience with Cat. She was extremely helpful, enthusiastic and supportive all day. She seemed to be one step ahead of us and it was so needed and appreciated as it made our day that much more smooth, seamless and enjoyable. And then the photos!!!! Cannot believe the level of talent you have Cat, just so beautiful and magical. Absolutely captured the essence of how love filled and perfect our wedding day was. Cat is AMAZING! We connected instantly and her vision of photos is incredible. We received so many sneak peaks after our big day and when the album was done I was in tears! Cat was the highlight of our day!
Not joking, me and my husband agree that aside from actually *getting married,* Cat’s enthusiasm, professionalism, and joyful personality was our favorite part of our day. Cat woke up at 3am with us, hiked miles straight up a mountain, and had the energy to be RUNNING from shot to shot during our vow exchange at sunrise. She coached us for incredible poses, and gave us space to be ourselves. Our wedding photos are all over our apartment and the comments I get most are “wow, who was you photographer?” And “dang, those are so aesthetic!” 10/10 would hire again. -

Cat Dossett is the Best in the Business
From the moment Cat showed up on our wedding day- she not only captured every single moment (even some incredibly precious moments we had no idea she knew we would cherish forever), Cat made us laugh, made everyone comfortable, and handled every situation with humor, encouragement, and a solution. She even came through with clear fishing line to fix my dress bustle when it broke. Her work is exquisite- and as an added plus she makes you feel like you've known her your whole life, and was truly a saving grace, an alternate Maid of Honor, and our constant cheerleader the whole day. We couldn't have been happier and will always recommend her. -

Amazing photographer and wonderful person!!!
Cat shot our wedding and engagement photos and she was beyond fabulous!!! She is so friendly and was so easy to work with. She is extremely talented and also got us our photos so fast!!! Not only that but when she dropped off prints for us she also included a USB of all our photos and she also gifted us a bottle of wine, it was really thoughtful! If you’re looking for the best look no further! :) -

I really leaned on Cat's experience when it came to our wedding photos. Like most people on their wedding day, we were not thinking about making sure we got photos of every little thing; we were visiting with friends and family, and just enjoying the day. So we completely relied on Cat's professionalism and extensive experience to get all of the great moments. And she did! She was so well prepared, so patient and helpful, and so much fun! Everyone loved her! -

Marvelous!
Cat did a marvelous job on our wedding photos and was a delight to have as a part of our wedding day. Photos were one of my nonnegotiable for our day and Cat met and exceeded my expectations. She got all the little details we wanted to remember as well as all the people we wanted pictures with. She had us send a list of who we wanted to for sure get pictures of so that way no one would get missed. Such a thoughtful thing to do before the day of. On the day of there were so many more photos I wanted to capture and Cat was always right there to snap a photo, I truly appreciated her! I 110% recommended Cat as your wedding photographer! All around great experience! -

Wow! Cat was amazing. In Covid fashion our previous photographer wasn't able to make it. Cat stepped in at the last minute and we wouldn't want it any other way. Cat was incredibly brilliant behind the camera. She made me and my bride feel comfortable and confident! Her photos have turned out amazing too. The only mistake you would be making is if you didn't chose Cat Dossett for your special occasion. -

Cat did our photos for our wedding and they turned out absolutely AMAZING!! Our photos were moody, romantic, beautiful and artistic to say the least and we couldn’t have asked for more. Additionally, Cat was like a ninja during the ceremony; I feel like I barely saw her getting all of the pictures that she did! I cannot recommend Cat more highly, she’s truly the best!! -

Best Wedding Decision We Made!
Cat was the best decision we made, when it came to choosing our wedding vendors. She was so easy to work with, and I trusted her. I knew the pictures were going to wow us - but they surpassed that! Our photos genuinely represent US, not a posed/styled version of us. We couldn't be happier. She is well organized, and has the best game plan. I didn't have to worry about making sure she got certain photos, because she presented me with the most incredible plan from the start. She was easy to communicate with and very flexible. I also love the creative drive that Cat brings to her craft. There were some very cool reflection effects that she used that made our pictures unique. I can't gush enough about how happy we are with our photos, and our experience with Cat. She also coordinated a second shooter (for an additional expense) and we were very happy with who she chose. Her second shooter complimented her well, and they made a great time. I would recommend her time and time again, and I can't wait to hire her to capture more beautiful moments for us. -

We don’t have enough words to say how happy we are that Cat was part of our day. She captured everything we could’ve imagined and more. The sneak peaks she sent over are unreal not to mention she knows how to have FUN and is so freaking prepared. She saved my butt several times. I’m still in awe of her talent and how beautiful her work is.

Cat is amazing, and you should have 0 reservations about hiring her for your photography needs! She took photos for both my engagement and a very small (9 people) wedding at Smith Rock.
The number one compliment we received from others when we announced our marriage was how absolutely gorgeous our photos were.
Cat goes the extra mile. She made us feel as comfortable in front of a camera as we will ever get, gave us posing prompts to get pictures that were candid and beautiful, helped us choose what to wear when we brought multiple options, and styled us (hair fixing, hat adjustments, etc) to make sure everything was always in place.
She was quick with sneak peeks of photos, timely with delivering albums, and didn't miss a shot that we asked for!
Cat knows how to work a crowd (I've seen her in action at large weddings), and how to deliver on a personal and intimate level. She has an eye for detail in the small moments, gestures, and items that hold meaning, and captures them all. Her pictures are classic, dramatic, and artsy. We have pictures that make us look cozy and sweet, ones that make us look like we belong in a magazine, photos shot with prisms that look awesome, and has artistically edited some in ways that I cannot describe--you'll just have to check out her website to see. She has given us timeless photos that we will cherish for a lifetime.
I will be a repeat customer for as long as I can get her! -

Cat deserves more than 5 stars!!!
How much time do I have?! Cat was AMAZING the whole week of my wedding - she was able to capture my rehearsal dinner AND all of my wedding day festivities... all be herself! I was amazed at the number of photos taken! The angles, the people, the energy... she was simply one of the most seamless and best parts of the day, capturing moments I didn't notice or realize, tossing encouragement and love my way, and just all around adding that extra sparkle! My photos turned out like a freakin' dream. HIRE HER!!! (ANNNND she also does boudoir.... RECOMMEND!!!!) -

Personable and Professional, Cat is Awesome!
Cat is amazing! I first worked with Cat when she shot my best friend's wedding back in June, 2015, and loved her attention to detail and comfortable personality. It was an easy choice when it came my turn to pick a wedding photographer! Cat gave us beautiful engagement and wedding photos - she coaxed my photo-shy fiance/husband into smiles that I am beyond grateful for, and rescheduled our first engagement shoot when our daughter was sick. She has an amazing eye for light, shadows, contrast and composition, and her finished products are ones that I'm sure will stand the test of time. She went above and beyond on our wedding day - staying overtime and making sure we got the shots we wanted. Hiring Cat was worth every penny - she's professional, and goes above and beyond, helping to keep those frantic moments before the ceremony running smoothly. She's got a great sense of humor and a personality that put both of us at ease in front of the camera, and her calm demeanor was just what I needed day of. A few weeks after our wedding, we received high-resolution digital copies in color and black and white of all of the shots from our sessions. We're a very satisfied couple (and our families are grateful as well)! -

Cat is amazing! Her photos of our sweet little backyard wedding are so perfect. She was super communicative and responsive to all of my millions of questions during the whole lead up to our wedding. She checked in with me consistently throughout the whole day, making sure she was getting the photographs that I wanted. She legit stopped to talk to all of my guests, making them all comfortable before photographing them. She was 110% on board for my 'photos with my cat' idea, photos that I TREASURE. And she checked in with me before leaving to double check that I got everything I wanted, even though she was already over her time and absolutely did not have to! All on the hottest day of the year! Hire this girl! -

Hiring Cat Dossett is one thing my husband and I do not regret from our wedding day at all. Well worth it. She was my dream photographer (I mean just look at her work!) and when I emailed her I told her our budget and she worked with me to get the perfect package!
Not only is she a phenomenal artist, with an incredible eye for what will make a beautiful photograph, but she is also a warm and comforting presence. Which was very needed on my wedding day when I was feeling nervous! She made my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera which is so far out of our comfort zone usually... She also was willing to help us in little ways that really mattered-- making sure we had drinks and water and breaks when we needed it. She worked incredibly well with our other vendors and we even adjusted the photo schedule slightly day-of and she rolled with it!
Hiring Cat is like hiring a good friend (and you get beautiful photos to boot)! -

I found Cat through Instagram and she shot my small wedding ceremony in Oregon with about 28 people. I cannot say enough good things about her!! She is so kind and sweet and also made us feel calm and at ease during our big day. She gave us amazing direction and the pictures turned out beautifully. She knew how important capturing the day was to us and made sure we got photos everywhere we went throughout the whole day and night. We are absolutely THRILLED with how the pictures have turned out (I think obsessed is even an understatement) and I would definitely recommend her to anyone and everyone!! Everyone who sees our pictures tells us how amazing they look and asks how we found her. Thank you so much Cat!!

Cat is incredibly talented and genuine. She not only makes you feel comfortable while taking your picture, but she also makes you feel the absolute most beautiful you'll ever feel. So I chose Cat as our photographer because 1. Her name is Cat and I'm a BIG cat person. 2. She's from Alaska and I love Alaska 3. Her photography when I looked at her site and Instagram were amazing. We had her for engagement photos and wedding day and all our photos were beyond amazing. I could look at them all, forever.
On top of that, the day of the wedding Cat was beyond helpful. She helped keep things on track, she picked all every pinecone that repeatedly got stuck in my dress. She had flats for me to wear when I couldn't bear to wear my heels anymore. She fixed my bustle countless times. She is a pleasure to be around at all times. I just cant say enough good things about my experience with Cat. She is truly the best! -

She has been my go-to photographer; she has taken my senior pictures, my sister's senior pictures, my boudoir pictures, and my wedding pictures- and dare I say my maternity pictures in the future?! ;) Her professionalism is incredible, but she still makes you feel so comfortable as if you've been forever friends. Robyn Sent on 07/02/2018Let me just start by saying Cat is by far the best photographer I have ever worked with. She loves what she does and it shows in every picture she takes.
My husband and I had Cat take our engagement, wedding and post wedding (cave) pictures. Before every shoot, Cat was quick to respond to messages, extremely flexible and willing to hear our creative ideas. Cat has this ability to make you feel like a super model while she is taking your picture. I am sure she can make anyone feel calm and comfortable in front of her camera. After every shoot, Cat had sneak peeks for us within 24 hours.
Also, during my wedding, I had forgotten several items and was a bit panicky. Every time this happened, Cat reached into her magical wedding bag and pulled out just what was needed. For me, she was more than a photographer, she prevented many mishaps from occurring.
You will LOVE working with Cat! She went above and beyond every time we worked with her. Next time we are in need of someone to capture our big moments, we will definitely be calling Cat. -

Rachael Sent on 12/29/2016Cat photographed my husband and I 6 months into dating, she hid in a tree for capture our proposal, she trudge through thigh deep snow to capture our engagement photos and she was amazing through out our entire wedding day. She was there early in the morning to go to the salon with me and stayed late into the night. Everyone has told us how amazing our photos are and Cat really did capture the day. She was so quick to get us our photos back and I gushed over how beautiful she made us, our families and our wedding look. She is professional, sweet and generous. She has an amazing eye for natural light. I recommend her to everyone I know and will continue to have her photograph our future.
