Perfect place for a fall wedding in Maine
My husband and I are both Maine natives, and were looking for a place to get married close to our families that truly captured the beauty of fall in Maine: Caswell Farm did that and more. From the moment we first toured Caswell, we knew that it would be the perfect place for our wedding, and every step of the way working with Catherine and Nicole proved that we made the right decision. We still cannot believe how beautiful our wedding was, and cannot thank everyone at Caswell enough for helping to make our day so special. -

We toured a few venues in Maine and Caswell was the last one we visited. We knew pretty much right away that it was the perfect choice for our late spring wedding with ~80 guests! It's such a peaceful and dreamy property and Catherine and team were really flexible in terms of helping us use the space in a way that perfectly fit our specific vision! We had our ceremony in front of the barn, dinner out on the gravel area in the flower garden (an al fresco dinner was our DREAM and we're so happy it worked out), and dancing and dessert inside the barn--it worked so well for us! The day was so beautiful and relaxed and turned out exactly as we'd hoped. We can't imagine having gotten married anywhere else! -

Caswell Farm was the best mix of magical, rustic, unique, genuine, and whimsical. We knew it was the perfect place to have our wedding even when we first saw it under a layer of early spring snow. And not only were we enthralled by the space, but by the owner, Catherine. We instantly knew we were in the right place to make our wedding day come to life, and we were absolutely right. Caswell provided the gorgeous and romantic setting for our perfect day, and not only do we still daydream about our wedding, but several months later family and friends are still going out of their way to tell us what a fantastic time they had.
Caswell's staff made a lot happen behind the scenes to make that the case, and to make everything run smoothly for us. Catherine and her team were amazing at answering questions and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the planning process, and their wedding coordinator Nicole was an absolute star. We never considered not adding her services to our day, and I will be forever grateful for the amount of calm she brought to the whole affair. When certain things became complicated (as they always will, the morning of your wedding) Nicole fixed everything, gently kept everything on track, brought an air of professionalism mixed with kindness that immediately told me she had everything handled, and ultimately made it far easier for me to be present in the moment and not worry about running the show.
I would suggest Caswell and their team to literally anyone planning a wedding, and need to also give a shout out to their partner caterer, Barn & Table, which was an absolutely instrumental part of the whole event. My husband and I joke often about someday doing the whole thing over again at Caswell for a big wedding anniversary, and we might just have to; it was that wonderful. -

This was the most beautiful, magical wedding. I couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous venue. The trailing ivy and vines sprawling on literally everything was so whimsical and lovely. I loved that there were multiple options for the ceremony, including a BEAUTIFUL rustic barn for our rainy wedding day. -

Perfect Barn Venue!
We got married at Caswell at the beginning of September and it was more than perfect! The venue itself is so beautiful so we really didn’t do much decor since it speaks for itself. We had 135 guests with a tent sent up behind the barn for dinner and our DJ in the barn, it was the perfect set up! The bonfire was also a great addition that our guests loved. Caswell Farm gave the back yard wedding feel we were looking for and all our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the venue was! Having the option to get ready the morning of, and then stay the night at the little house on the property was also such a huge plus for us. Owner Catherine, and day-of-coordinator Nicole were both so helpful throughout the planning process and day of. Couldn’t have picked a better venue! -

A magical evening
Barn and farm is a magical place. There was nothing like standing on the barn porch watching our guests in the tent all aglow. Food was so good! Garden ceremony was perfect! Staff were awesome. All of our questions and concerns were handled quickly and efficiently! -

I got married at Caswell Farm in early June and could not have asked for a better equipped venue and attentive owner!
The layout and ease of the venue allowed both us and our guests to relax and enjoy the day. We were able to utilize the barn for lounge seating, bar service, and dancing while the grassy yard was perfect for games.
Catherine was so helpful with our setup -answering questions, providing some advice, and was readily available for setup/take down/day-of.
I cannot recommend Caswell Farm enough, if you're in search of a venue, this one should be at the top of your list!

Caswell Farm is beautiful, and Catherine and her team are amazing! We fell in love with the venue the first time we saw it -- the space is laid out so well, creating so many opportunities to personalize it for your event. We were able to DIY the things we wanted to but also rely on Catherine and her team to help with whatever we didn't want to take on (day-of-planning, set-up, etc.). The farmhouse is also a beautiful option for staying overnight. I would highly recommend Caswell Farm to anyone looking for a gorgeous and unique outdoor venue. We would choose it again in a heartbeat. -

Caswell Farm was the perfect spot for our wedding.
Catherine was great from the moment we met her. She even made us cookies at her house when we were initially discussing and touring the venue. She was very genuine and helpful throughout the process, which was invaluable during the stressful period of planning a wedding. She was always quick to reply to our questions, and consistently reminding us that no question was too small. She was flexible for us in certain moments and we really enjoyed working with her!
The venue itself was beautiful. The gardens all around the premises were well-kept and blooming. Our photographer had many options for photos on site. The ceremony was out back in the farm’s rock garden, which easily seated our 140 guests. We had food trucks parked alongside a tent near the barn, where they were easily able to set up and get in and out. And lastly we had dancing in the old barn, which acted almost like a stadium when doing our first dances.
We highly recommend Caswell Farm and Catherine! -

Idyllic Wedding Venue. Wonderful Owner
I could not have asked for a better experience at Caswell Farm & Wedding Barn for our wedding. From a purely transactional view, Catherine was a very professional vendor to work with and the property had everything we expected in terms of the maintenance of the grounds and barn. Beyond that, Catherine was just a lovely person to work with and you can really tell how much she cares about the property. Her farm is the exact opposite of the canned, made-for-instagram wedding experience that some venues now tend to feel like (though your photos will look awesome). There was something for everyone to do at the reception, from tearing up the dance floor in the barn to playing lawn games by the fire and walking around in the beautiful gardens. Its a big space yet the layout and small touches simultaneously make the property feel very intimate. Thanks again Catherine!! -

Omg! I am so happy I stumbled across Caswell Farm at the last minute. My husband and I looked all over for a farm for our outdoor ,Maine, Summer wedding. Most barns were like 30k and came with nothing. When I walked into the farmhouse they even had fresh chocolate chip cookies and coffee and I was instantly in love! When I found out I coule have my entire party on site, from ceremony to dancing.. I was all in. They even have a shed of supplies you can use like cornhole, and photo walls and signage. Catherine and her team made everything so stress free and even cut me a lil slack on my cleanup, as in..none of my crew came to help and she did not make me feel stressed or rushed. It was an amazing experience. 10/10 and I highly recommend for anyone getting married or looking to book an event. It was affordable, especially considering all the amenities and that it came with farm tables and chairs. Honestly, I want to throw another party just so I can rent from them again. -

The perfect barn wedding!!
From the moment we stepped onto Caswell Farm we knew it would be the perfect place to get married. It is authentically rustic, elegant and inviting. Close to Portland for guest flying in from out of town. Working with Catherine was a breeze. She is professional and approachable and really makes you feel welcome in her home. She's been in the wedding industry a LONG time and was able to help us with other vendors and makes suggestions that we wouldn't have otherwise thought about. The barn is absolutely stunning! big enough for all of our guests to dance, but small enough to feel cozy. I can't speak highly enough about Caswell farm!! -

Simply Wonderful
Our experience with Caswell Farm was wonderful. We would not have changed a single thing. The farm is nestled away on a quaint Maine back road, but still close to Portland. Our guests were able to enjoy southern Maine and lodge close by. From the start Catherine understood our vision and helped put it into place. She was happy to offer recommendations but gave us the freedom to make the space our own with personal touches. The farmhouse is cozy and homelike inside and the wedding barn is charming and beautiful. Our wedding ceremony was set up outside in the adjoining field and made a seamless transition to the reception. The venue made for beautiful pictures too! Our day was truly magical, and we are so glad that we chose Caswell Farm for our special day. We recommend it to everyone for any event, but especially a wedding. Thank you, Caswell Farm! -

Authentic, accessible, charming, and professional!
Caswell Farm was the perfect location for our wedding. It is picturesque, rustic, cozy, and welcoming. It is close enough to Portland for guests to find adequate lodging and sight see around southern Maine, yet tucked away in the quiet woods of Gray for intimate event.
The space has so much versatility and innate character. Catherine has loads of Knick-knacks, and wedding accessories so you can make the space your own. There are plenty of nooks for guests to explore and the barn is the perfect venue for any band or dance party. OUr guests could not get over the authenticity and beauty of the venue! Plus, the working farm on the property makes it all the more charming :)
Catherine and Leah are so accommodating and professional - they helped in any way we asked, yet allowed us to have virtual fee-reign over the property for our wedding weekend. They were accessible by phone, email, and in-person, and made us feel like our wedding was special - not just another weekend affair.
Caswell Farm was an authentic, dreamy, and accessible for our 150-person wedding. We highly recommend it to anyone!! -
