Castle Unicorn is seriously the way to go. It is a little on the pricey side, but they do EVERYTHING. Food, drinks, ceremony, a place to stay the night of the wedding, setting up, taking down, you don't have to lift a finger. I can't say enough great things about the venue or the guys that run it. They run an amazing and professional service. We didn't worry about a thing or have to do anything with setup or take down. Incredible Venue
Castle Unicorn was the very first venue we toured, and after seeing it and meeting the owners, we truly couldn’t picture getting married anywhere else. Driving up to the castle feels like stepping straight into a fairytale. The whole property is beautiful and so well kept and the ponds, fountains, bridges, courtyard, and castle itself all looked incredible in our photos. Anyone who didn’t go to our wedding is always asking where it was because the pictures look unreal.
What really made Castle Unicorn stand out for us, though, were the owners, John and Ray. From day one, they made us feel like we were their number one priority. They are so genuine and so good at what they do. They gave us tons of helpful information right away, and because they handle so much in-house, planning was way less stressful than I expected. Not having to book a caterer or DJ separately was a huge relief. Anytime I emailed with questions, they responded so fast and always seemed to know exactly what I needed, sometimes before I even asked. I work in large corporate events, and I can confidently say John and Ray are some of the most incredible people to work with in this industry. I am a very type A sort of bride who likes to control every single detail and they are both so on top of everything that I was actually able to let go and enjoy my day instead of worrying.
On the actual wedding day, everything went so smoothly. We dropped off decor a couple days before, and by the time we showed up on the day of, most of it was already up and looked flawless. We had some on-and-off misty weather, so a few things had to be adjusted last minute to keep everything covered, and the staff handled all of it perfectly while keeping us informed. When we finally decided the weather would hold long enough for our ceremony setup, it felt like the staff made everything magically appear within minutes. Throughout the day, they checked in to make sure we were on track and that everything matched what we had pictured.
There were so many small moments that made us feel cared for in a way I don’t think couples typically get on their wedding day. Every person who works there was always smiling and genuinely seemed so happy for us. They had a golf cart nearby for family members who needed a little assistance getting to the ceremony which was a lifesaver. John personally walked me through the buffet and carried my plate back to our table for dinner and the morning after, when it was pouring rain and we started loading up our car, someone immediately grabbed carts and umbrellas and jumped in to help. They were simple gestures, but they happened again and again and made it so clear how much they care about their couples and their guests.
Looking back, getting married at Castle Unicorn gave us so much more value than we ever expected. So much was included, planning never felt overwhelming, and we were able to actually focus on getting married instead of managing logistics. It was absolutely worth every penny.
If you want a magical, stress-free wedding day where you can truly just enjoy the moment and be surrounded by people who care about making your day perfect, Castle Unicorn is exactly where you need to be.

I cannot overstate how amazing this venue is!
Besides the location being beautiful and immaculately maintained the owners truly endeavor to make your wedding day as smooth as possible. I was impressed with how helpful John was during the planing process but blown away by how helpful he was on the day. I would 100% recommend getting married at Castle Unicorn! This place is absolutely stunning if you are looking for an outside wedding. They also help with every step of the planning process which made it not only easy but really enjoyable to plan my wedding! My pictures turned out beautiful with the backgrounds of trees and landscapes. All of the staff were so helpful and kind the day of the wedding! They was plenty of parking for our guests and we hired a company to pick us up and it was just a short drive to downtown Omaha. -

I cannot measure in words how fantastic Castle Unicorn was with our wedding. John and Ray were incredibly helpful, responsive, experienced, and most of all understanding. From the moment we shook hands outside at our first meeting I knew we were in the right place.
This is not your average venue that charges for walking in the door like we experienced at every other venue. They are full service minus cake, floral, suits, and photographer and it made focusing on the wedding itself so much easier.
Lead Up to Wedding-
The build up to the wedding was scheduled very well, Ray kept in constant contact with us from the tasting to the event date to make sure the food was fit for all our guests. We had quite a few allergies amongst our guests from peanuts, dairy, gluten, and everything was prepared accordingly. We still have friends telling us how wonderful everything tasted while following so many dietary needs.
John kept everything organized and made sure we were considering every aspect of the ceremony and the reception. He always made time to meet with us for larger concerns and we were able to schedule tours for our family while they were in town before the wedding.
Wedding Ceremony and Reception-
The day of the wedding was (as usual) incredibly stressful, but John kept us on time and kept everything moving from the ceremony to the reception. He kept our wedding party organized and always listened to our concerns. One wonderful surprise was the staff setting up our small table decorations and guest table items so beautifully! They really are experts in this field and know how to help.
The host/DJ the venue uses kept everything moving as well so there were no awkward pauses. There was always something to do and experience for both us and our guests.
During the reception we had the perfect number of opportunities to talk to staff about how things were going. They were readily available if we needed them and asked semi-hourly if we needed anything.
End of Night-
At the end of the night, we didn’t need to ask family or guests to help with tear down as the Castle staff did that for us, they neatly packed our items away and even helped load up wedding gifts to be taken home. After everyone was gone, and we had the last dance together we settled into the luxurious suite. They had a gigantic tub that was great for soaking sore feet from being on our feet all night! The entire experience was fantastic, and I couldn’t recommend this place more. Several guests have asked us to throw a party each year, because of the fun they had, but we owe so much of what made that night a hit to John and Ray!

Amazing place and owners
John and ray were the best to work with. They were always so organized and ready for each meeting. Their responses to any communication was always fast, which was very lovely being the bride with questions that just pop into your head. They were also willing to help solve/make any ideas to make your inspiration come to life. We got so many compliments on the food being the best people have had at weddings. They really made our day feel stress free and we were actually able to enjoy ourselves. If I had to do it again, I would pick Castle Unicorn over and over -

We almost didn't show up to the initial tour, but I'm so glad we did. Castle Unicorn exceeded all expectations in every area. It's a bit of an up front cost but when you think about how much it includes, it's really comparable. The food was AMAZING, the venue grounds are GORGEOUS, John and Ray were so awesome and attentive over every little thing, the DJ they provided was fantastic! They've really thought of every single thing to make your day perfect. -

Castle Unicorn was the best choice of a venue we could have picked! From the very start john and ray were absolutely incredible. If you are looking for a venue where you do not have to lift a finger and you want a completely stress free day, this is the place for you. From the set up to the tear down to everything inbetween, it was all taken care of by their staff. The staff was kind and friendly and we got compliments that the food was amazing. From the moment I stepped foot on this property I fell in love ! The entire process leading up to the wedding was super easy and John made it stress free. He has everything well planned and laid out. Made planning our wedding a breeze, on the day of the wedding John kept everything on track, and well organized. He coordinated with the officiant, the dj, the photographer perfectly. Castle unicorn forever
We got married at Castle Unicorn in August of 2023 coming down from the hottest week of the year with temperatures above 100. On the day of our wedding, it was in the low 80s and PERFECT!
From the moment we drove up the hill for our tour, we knew Castle Unicorn was where we were going to get married. Not only is the venue STUNNING, but the service and amenities are even better! My fiance and I were pleased that the food, alcohol, DJ, wedding night suite, linens, tables and chairs, and even decor was covered in our costs at Castle Unicorn. That saved us so much time and resources, which helped make our wedding experience more enjoyable. Castle Unicorn even set up decor up and took it down at the end of the night. There were never drinks or plates sitting on tables because the staff was constantly walking around and picking up, making sure our space looked tidy and beautiful throughout the night. John and Ray went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure that we had a perfect day. They were excellent communicators, invited us out to the Castle for a food tasting months before our wedding, and were on top of everything throughout the process. We were never worried about anything and they truly helped us feel peace. I have heard from several of our 175 guests that we had the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. From the Castle, to the trees, stunning views from the hill, and water/fountains. It was truly a beautiful and perfect day and we cannot thank Castle Unicorn enough!
I cannot share enough positive words about our experience with Castle Unicorn. I wish I could attend a wedding there as a guest! It was perfect! -

Personally, I don't think there was a better place to have a wedding. John and Rey were 2 of the best guys to work with on such a monumentous occasion. The venue is beautiful. All the employees were so helpful. And I am a it neurotic and John or Rey always picked up and walked me through whatever I had questions about. So I would I am so glad my husband and I choose this venue as it is one of the best looking venues in Iowa or Nebraska and so much was included. The price also wasn't bad for the venue and perks that we git. 10/10 would definetly renew my vows here in the future. -

John and Ray are an amazing duo along with their staff to make sure your day goes smoothly!! I was able to trust them and they were able to set up, and take down everything. They made my vision come to life. They communicate frequently with you and will answer any questions you may have. The venue itself it worth the cost. BEAUTIFUL scenery for your photos!! They also have a room for the couple to stay in over night so you do not have to worry about driving home after all the fun. Castle Unicorn was absolutely fantastic. It made the wedding planning process a breeze! John was always available for communication when I had questions and he was very accommodating to my husband who was across the country for part of the planning time. Having so much included in the venue was a huge reason we chose the Castle, I loved not having to coordinate with a ton of different vendors for my big day. On the day of my wedding, I was incredibly relaxed thanks to John and his staff. They handle everything! I brought some decor pieces I wanted displayed and they put it all up themselves so that I could relax in the bridal suite. Caleb and I loved staying the night as well, it was the perfect way to end the evening! I highly recommend Castle Unicorn for your big day. -

Made sure the day was PERFECT!
So happy we went with the castle! Gorgeous venue and the staff really make it a stress free day. EVERY staff member was friendly and consistently asked if I needed anything, which was above and beyond! John and Ray were extremely helpful, down to earth, and kept us updated during this year of COVID. Could NOT have stayed sane without them!
We had to change dates (spring to fall) and I cannot say enough about how gorgeous the venue was with changing colors, too! Just breath-taking.
They also think of EVERY detail to make your experience amazing... cleaning up to help out and ensuring they are there to send you off after the events. Highly recommend this amazing venue with top notch staff! -

Wedding of our dreams!
The wedding was amazing. John and Ray were there with us every step of the way and ensured that we had the best night ever. We were dancing and eating and drinking till the very end. The staff was very courteous and insured everything was very clean. It was the most beautiful setting, lots a fantastic food and the DJ through Complete played great music! Nikki set the tone that we wanted for our special day and couldn’t of asked for more! The outdoor ceremony was beautiful for a September day. We were covered in shade by the trees and our guests were comfortable. The reception was underneath the pavilion. On our wedding day it was windy, but we we’re lucky they were able to close the pavilion walls like a garage to keep the wind out! Once the wind died down they were able to open the walls and the weather remained beautiful with a light breeze throughout the reception. The venue itself is so beautiful you hardly need any decorations. We were also fortunate to be able to use some of the venues decorations for free. The bridal suite is huge and has nearly 3 vanities for the women to get ready and a huge master bedroom. The groom suite is also amazing and the guys can go on the rooftop to hangout! Highly recommend!! -

The castle is the best venue I've ever been to, and we can't believe we were lucky enough to get married there. The food is amazing and it was so nice (and much cheaper) to not have to try and get an outside caterer. The staff was incredible and didn't miss any details. Our wedding party had a blast and we had great rooms to get ready in on the wedding day. We saved a lot of time and money on so many aspects, like the centerpieces, staying the night at the castle for free, and the staff putting up our decorations for us. We have literally no complaints and we had the perfect wedding thanks to the castle!! -

Honestly - look no further than Castle Unicorn! I could go on and on about our experience here! From the owners - John and Ray, to their staff, to all the services they provide and oh yeah, how could I forget - it's at a CASTLE with the most amazing views and landscaping! John and Ray and their entire staff made our wedding the best day of our lives! We didn't have to stress or worry about ANYTHING! They had everything covered, they knew all the right questions to ask us before our big day to make sure our wedding went smoothly with no hiccups or last minute "we didn't think of that!". They worked with our DJ and Photographer to plan things out and make sure everything was EXACTLY how we wanted it and on schedule! We really did feel like Royals at our wedding! We looked at so many venues and no one and nothing compared to The Castle Unicorn! Friends and family all still talk about our wedding and all tell us how they have never been to a nicer venue and location with the best service and offerings! We HIGHLY recommend Castle Unicorn!! Literally not one single complaint and the absolute BEST service you will find anywhere. I promise that you will not be dissapointed! John and Ray were incredibly kind, caring, professional, and never forget any details! Our whole wedding day was effortless - the castle staff takes care of everything (even the details you forget to take care of). You will end of saving a ton of money because they offer you all the best deals in one bundled price, which saved us hours of stress! They take care of the food (DELICIOUS), the DJ (the absolute best), the centerpieces (saves SO MUCH MONEY), and more! You get to stay the night at the castle too which saves a lot of money and stress. The staff cleans up everything AND loads all the wedding gifts into your car the next morning. They even let you take the leftover food home! The whole planning process leading up to the wedding is literally so fun with John and Ray! They make it simple, easy, and STRESS-FREE! Do yourself a favor and book them now! Such an amazing treasure nestled in the hills. All of our guests were from Omaha and the drive was really easy for them. It was like all the fun parts of having a "destination wedding" without any of the hassle. The castle is absolutely gorgeous and my favorite place. We're so thankful we got married here!! -

If I had to sum up Castle Unicorn and working with John, Ray, and their team in one word, I would say WOW! From the beginning, they were outstanding on working on us with the details and making our day exactly what we wanted. The perk of having food, wait staff, silverware/chairs, bartenders, venue, and DJ all included made the planning process much easier on us. The day of, we showed up and the grounds were immaculate and the team was able to flex to a different ceremony location flawlessly last-minute due to a rain shower that moved in last minute. There's not a single thing we would change about our wedding at Castle Unicorn! -

John and Ray are FANTASTIC! The venue is a dream come true!
We shopped around and visited multiple venues. We also had the opportunity to visit a couple of venues for weddings of friends and family. Each time we would visit a place, we would talk about the experience, what we liked and didn’t like. Every time, we came back to Castle Unicorn. We were in love with venue from the very beginning. We first visited in winter after snow falls and it was beautiful even then. Once spring and summer came, the beauty really ascended! We got married in August. August tends to be pretty hot in Iowa. The day of our wedding was no exception. However, the castle is so far outside the heat of the pavement from the city and on top of a hill where there is always a light breeze, it was comfortable from the weather aspect. The groom, whom is easily overheated, was not too hot at all. The venue was and is perfect for any wedding! The best part is getting to stay overnight in the castle after your wedding! The wedding was truly a dream come true for us. Never did either of us think that we would have a fairy tale wedding at a castle. Absolutely perfect setting for a wedding.
John and Ray are some of the best people you will ever meet. They pull out all the stops and do not hold anything back in preparing your day. They make sure everything goes without a hitch and ensure a stress free experience. It is clear they are very passionate about what they do and truly do, from the bottoms of their hearts, want to make sure each wedding is the best day of your life. They truly do make you feel like you are their only client and that their castle was made specifically for your wedding day.
We absolutely loved working with John and Ray. We loved the entire experience from picking colors and centerpieces to your menu to helping you after the wedding is over.
The staff during and after the ceremony were exceptional! It is not hyperbole when we say that you really do feel like royalty with how well and how professional the staff worked! The entire operation is a well oiled machine and you get perfection.
The food was amazing! Each of our guests got more than enough food and beverage. We are still complimented, four months later, from our guests about the venue, the food and atmosphere. We still have guests talking about our wedding with specifics given about the location, the castle, the setup, staff and so on. We cannot be happier with our wedding. We cannot imagine getting married at the castle without John and Ray making it perfect for us. They are absolutely AMAZING! They and the castle are worth every penny.
Getting married at a castle is a fairy tale come true! We are a very very happy couple. -

Castle Unicorn is such a beautiful venue. All the staff were very professional and pleasant. John and Ray are great communicators and were awesome with organizing our special day. Couldn’t of asked for a better place to get married surrounded by gorgeous views, friends, and family. -

Exceptional
Castle Unicorn made our dream come true. Our wedding day was perfect... Its almost like a dream that we dont ever want to forget .. Im hoping we can visit the castle and staff everyone was amazing. And the food is to die for. Recommend this venue to anyone that is interested in a lifetime of perfect memories. -

Effortlessly Perfect
John and Ray made everything effortless, literally. They set up all of my decorations (including assembling a 7-tier display for doughnuts), got the timing and flow of the ceremony and reception down to the minute, and had packed everything up in the morning straight to our trunk. It was totally worth the money, everyone loved the food, and John was just a blast to work with. He always made time and had great suggestions. I know a lot of people say this but we couldn't have imagined having our day anywhere else! -

Castle Unicorn was a dream wedding. Everything was perfect. John helped out with everything from a needle and thread to a glass of wine when I needed one. Everything was professional and well handled. It was organized and timely. Before the wedding we were guiding through the process to make us feel comfortable and make sure everything was thought of and and all planned out. They helped us through every step. Our guests raved about the food and how beautiful the location was. We couldn't have had a more perfect wedding and we owe it all to Castle Unicorn! -

John and Ray, along with their entire staff, were absolutely amazing! They took care of everything and anything they possibly could the day of the wedding. The grounds were gorgeous, the reception area was better than I ever imagined it could be. The food, my goodness, the food was so good! I had a guest tell me it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Everything was perfect, I would not have changed a single thing. -

The fact that they do 90% of the things brides usually have to worry and stress about is what sold me. DJ, Food, decorating, even giving you a place to stay for the evening- INCREDIBLE. Everyone raved not only about the taco bar we chose (HIGHLY recommend) but also about the venue itself, and DJ. If you’re thinking about having your wedding here, DO IT. Best decision we ever made. Thank you Castle unicorn, you made me feel like a princess on the best day of my life!

John sold us on the venue immediately and we signed a contract before leaving that day! John and Ray were more than helpful, answering all of my emails within 24 hours. They let you visit the property (by appointment) so you can really get a feel for the venue, and your vision of your wedding. John walks you through the day and truly acts as a wedding coordinator, even straightening out my dress before I walked down the aisle! The food was amazing, the staff help set up and tear down, they provide the DJ (you get to pick which one), reminder calls are made for you to turn in information regarding your day, and your wedding night is pure magic. The truly know how to make you feel like your wedding is the most important event ever, as though no other wedding has existed.

Andrea Sent on 10/16/2017We had our picture perfect dream wedding on 6.17.17 at Castle Unicorn! We are still getting compliments about how perfect everything was! Unfortunately, a tornado hit near the venue the night before our wedding leaving the venue without power for most of our wedding day. However, John, the owner, went absolutely above and beyond to make sure we still had the most perfect day ever! I have no idea how they did it, but it was the most amazing, best day of our lives! They really deserve 10 stars! Everything from day one was smooth, easy, affordable, and simply amazing. If you want the perfect wedding, choose Castle Unicorn. Thank you for everything John & Ray!! Tyler Sent on 10/07/2017I got married there on 7-7-17. I can not imaging having my wedding anywhere else. John is a very hands on owner, he made sure we stuck to schedule and had everything we needed. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was phenomenal even though it was 90 degrees. I loved it, my bride loved it, and you will love it too. I can't imagine getting married anywhere else!
