Castle Farms was an incredible all-inclusive venue, and overall we had a wonderful experience.
Catherine and Darren, who own the farm, are genuinely kind, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. We booked it on first sight and never once questioned that decision. They were flexible, responsive, and clearly care about the couples who choose to get married there.
Through Castle Farms, we worked with several vendors who were outstanding.
Dagment Photography was phenomenal. Tawney captured our day beautifully and exceeded every expectation.
Street Kitchen Catering, run by John and his wife Tammie, provided incredible food and service. We are big foodies, so this mattered a lot to us, and the food was delicious. They also handled a large number of family allergies with ease, which we deeply appreciated.
Catherine also coordinated our wedding cake from Smith Island Cakes through a private baker, and they were unforgettable. Truly some of the best cake I have ever had.
The only mixed part of our experience was with our day-of coordinator, Belle of the Ball Planning, specifically Melissa.
To be fair, Melissa successfully coordinated the wedding day so that nothing major went wrong, and that alone is worth a lot. Things ran smoothly, and there were no serious issues, which is important.
However, I was disappointed that my wedding planning binder, which I spent over a year creating and shared in advance, was clearly not fully referenced. About half of the decorations I had carefully prepared were never put out. Additionally, despite my explicit request that all questions go through my maid of honor, Melissa repeatedly came directly to me throughout the day. On your wedding day, you are not thinking clearly, and in hindsight the answers I gave were not actually what I wanted. My maid of honor had memorized my planner and would have been the appropriate person to consult.
I understand that oversights like this are common in weddings, and this may be a broader industry issue rather than unique to one coordinator. Still, when you are paying a significant amount for a single day, even small details matter, especially when those details were clearly documented ahead of time.
Overall, Castle Farms is a gorgeous venue with wonderful ownership and excellent vendor partnerships. I would absolutely recommend the venue itself and several of the associated vendors. My experience with day-of coordination was acceptable but did not fully meet my expectations given the level of planning and preparation I brought into the process. -

Our wedding was held at Castle Farms August 2025. It is the most beautiful venue with 10/10 service from DJ, food and photography.! All services met my expectations and I feel that all vendors went above and beyond to meet our expectations. One of the things that I love the most was that the day of the wedding the owner checked on us several times throughout the day and was, along with her staff, on site throughout the ceremony and reception to ensure everything went smoothly. We cannot say enough about the high-quality service, vendors, and overall experience that we had. Would highly recommend.! We are so pleased with their service that we are actually considering a one year anniversary party at Castle Farms! -

Dream Wedding Come True!
We got married at Castle Farm in June 2023, and even though this review is a bit late, I still think back on how absolutely perfect our day was. The owners, Catherine and Darren, went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly and stress free. They were incredibly responsive and always quick to answer any questions we had throughout the planning process. The venue itself is stunning and family friendly, with multiple ceremony locations to choose from, which really helped us make the day feel personal and unique. They also offer a variety of packages to fit different budgets, which made it even more accessible. All of our guests had wonderful things to say afterward, and we truly felt supported every step of the way. If you’re looking for a venue that genuinely cares and helps bring your vision to life, we can’t recommend Castle Farm enough! -

There really isn’t enough we could say to fully describe how incredible this venue is. It’s perfectly beautiful all on its own without the decorations, table settings, and flowers. Even more beautiful are the the people who own it. My husband and I are beyond grateful for their support and kindness during our special day. Cat is a “yes” woman and made every effort to make our day exactly what we had pictured. In addition, her compassionate husband Darren, who is an unbelievable craftsman, made a customized table for our wedding day. It is more than just a table to us. It is the table all our guests signed, where we ate our first meal as husband and wife, and the place our little family will grow and gather for years to come. Thank you both for everything. Castle farm made our dream fall wedding come to life. -

This entire property is like a fairy tale. Every spot is picturesque. The bridal suite is so comfortable and roomy. We used the woods for the ceremony, the pond and barn for the cocktail reception and the grand tent for our reception. We were able to individualize each area. Being able to walk down the long fence line to the tent was magical. Our guests were comfortable at the beautiful handmade tables and all of our needs were attended to. -

I knew I would get married at Castle Farm before I even visited the venue. It is not just a barn venue, it is an estate, a working equestrian farm. I am an animal lover, they come first in my life. With beautiful horses and cows all over the property and the farm being so incredibly gorgeous, it was a win win. My husband and I did the 3 day wedding weekend, which was well worth it. We were the only couple getting married there that weekend, therefore the attention would be on us completely. I used most of their vendors, opting for my own DJ and adding a photo booth company and ice cream truck. They were very accommodating with these additions.
My wedding coordinator, Melissa from Belle of the Ball Weddings, was also lovely and we got along very well. The entire staff was diligent and efficient.
My photographers Andrew & Kim Knock from Andrew Knock photography were incredible. They also did our engagement shoot and we just 110% vibed with them. They were easy to work with and so much fun.
The bridal and groomsman suites were amazing. Bridal suite was gorgeous, had a nice kitchen, overall spacious ( I had 7 bridesmaids, plenty of room getting ready day of) and since we did the 3 day weekend, we were there 2 nights. The one thing I noticed about the bridal suite was all the hooks! Everywhere you looked there was a hook to hang something. It was perfect for my big bridal party and everyone's stuff. The groomsman suite was also super spacious and had lots of games for the guys.
The food was great and catered by Street Kitchen. They also did out rehearsal dinner. Everything went so smoothly with it and I received several messages on how good the food was.
We used the barn doors as our ceremony location, but they have a few other locations to choose from, it's so nice to have those options. We had Maybelle the flower cow as part of our ceremony, my step daughter walked her down the aisle. Guests LOVED it!. We also had beer ponies during cocktail hour.
There was plenty of parking for our 150 guests and golf carts to take people back and forth. Our reception was under the tent and it was just beautiful!
We used their baker and had 8 Smith Island cakes. We picked out all 8 flavors from a long list of options offered. We were saved a few slices that were put in a box for us at the end of the night, however, unknowingly to my husband and I, they were left outside and we were not comfortable eating it the next day. We figured the rest of our cake had gone home with my MIL but she told us it had all been thrown away. I was pretty upset, but that was my only disappointment with the whole weekend.
Darren, one of the owners, also made us a custom sweetheart table that he engraved with our names and wedding date. It's absolutely beautiful and hand crafted so well. We loved being able to take it home and it will always be a special memory of our weekend there.
Castle Farm is truly a spectacular venue and it encompassed exactly who my husband and I are. We are also local to the area so it was very special to be able to get married so close to home yet feel like royalty. I can't say enough good things or use enough adjectives to describe all the feels of our weekend. Feelings we didn't even know we could feel. Celebrating with family we hadn't seen in decades and surrounded by friends made for an incredible weekend we will never, ever forget. Thank you Catherine and Darren, we couldn't have asked for anything more perfect.

Highly Recommend!
My husband and I got married at Castle Farm on June 1st and we couldn't have picked a more beautiful venue. Catherine and her team were amazing to work with. They were so professional and accommodating throughout the entire process. We can't thank them enough for making our big day so special! -

The bridal suite and the groom's hangout room were the best for getting ready for the big day. The farm was stunning and our guests loved meeting the horses. It was a day we will never forget. -

I could not imagine a better place to get married than Castle Farm. The venue is breathtakingly beautiful, from the peaceful and ethereal woods (where we had our ceremony), to the lovely and well-kept barn, down Andalusian aisle to the festive and gorgeous reception tent. We also loved the fire pits outside of it for people needing a break or to cool off from all the dancing!
Our guests were saying all night how much they loved it, appreciated its beauty, and more than one said to me it was “the perfect venue” and I’d have to agree! Moreover, Catherine and her staff were so lovely, helpful, professional and accommodating throughout our wedding planning process, from touring the venue to the end of the night itself (and the morning after when we were delayed searching for our car keys 😂). The bridal suite and groomsmen lounge were awesome for us to get ready in, too, and we loved our stay in the bridal suite that night. So comfortable and sleek, without ruining the rustic feel of the place!
Maybelle, our flower cow, and Odin the beer pony were such incredible additions to make it that much more memorable and special!

I can't say enough good things about Castle Farm. It was our first venue tour when we began planning, and we immediately knew that this was where we wanted to get married. Darren and Catherine have thought of absolutely everything to make sure events at Castle Farm are unique, memorable, stunningly beautiful, and smooth from start to finish--from having clear umbrellas to provide our guests when it rained, to offering unique experiences with their animals, to providing beautiful wood pieces to decorate with. If there were any problems on our wedding day, we didn't know about it, and that is something we'll be eternally grateful for. Catherine and Darren are professionals who truly have your best interest at heart, are willing to work with you, and have a vested interest in making your dream day a reality. I have never been more confident that we picked the perfect wedding venue, and I would choose them again in a heartbeat if I were to do it over again! Thank you, Castle Farm, for making this process as simple and painless as possible, for thinking of absolutely everything either we or our guests may need, and for making us feel so special. -

My Husband and I can’t say enough wonderful things about this venue and the owners, their staff as well! So professional and VERY efficient! They all take this business very seriously and genuinely love hosting couples for their most special day, and it absolutely shows. This is by far the most amazing venue we’ve ever stepped foot on. It blew us away during the tour, our walkthroughs, of course the day of, and STILL we dream about the time we had.
We had of course fantasized about our wedding and what it might be like one day, but never imagined in our wildest dreams we would be able to pull off and have such an incredible time and experience celebrating, like what Castle Farm had made possible for us. Everyone was SO incredibly nice and helpful, was an absolute pleasure to work with, and the venue grounds were breath taking, like nothing we’ve ever seen! Just stunning, and all the animals were SO adorable ! We loved their company during the rehearsal dinner in the stables (SO COOL highly recommended the 3 day/rehearsal dinner package, worth every penny!) and during our wedding day! The guests loved hanging out with Oden the beer pony! They could not stop raving about the venue and how beautiful it was and we too just fell in love over and over again with the venue each time we visited. The cake bakers they have contracted to work with the venue also did a PHENOMENAL job! If you’re in need of someone to bake Smith Island cakes for your special day (a Maryland and Eastern Shore staple) please work with the lovely couple Catherine and Darren at Castle Farm work closely with, they are so talented. Tastes home made straight out of your family’s kitchen! You could tell they were made with a lot of love and care!
Also, the overnight accommodations in the honeymoon suite were so luxurious and wonderful, we felt so at home. We just made so many amazing memories and are so incredibly thankful. Castle Farm you guys are the BEST!

Dream wedding venue! I cannot express how much we loved having our wedding at Castle Farm. The whole experience from taking the initial tour to our wedding day was so smooth. Catherine, the owner, was so sweet throughout the whole process, quick to address any questions and giving us loads of ideas to make our day extra special. With the all-inclusive package, so much stress was taken off and it was amazing to see how well the whole team of vendors worked with each other. The venue offers so many different location options for each part of your day. In order to utilize all of the property, we chose to hold our rehearsal dinner in the woods, our ceremony in front of the barn doors, and our reception in the white reception tent, which worked out so well. We also opted for the 3-day access, which I would do again in a heartbeat! It was so nice to be able to drop things off before our rehearsal, stay the night of our wedding at the venue (the room was amazing), and have the ability to not worry about clean up until the next day. Of course, the animals were a big hit with us and our guests from Odin the beer pony, the Andalusian horses, and the mini cows! The entire Castle Farm team, all of our vendors (Andrew Nock Photography, Alison to the Altar, The Street Kitchen, Edrock Entertainment, and Andrea Bounds Beauty) worked so hard to make our day one we will never forget and treasure forever! -

My husband and I had our wedding weekend at Castle Farm and it was the beyond perfect venue.
When we were looking for a venue, we knew we wanted something very private without the chance of another wedding going on in the vicinity / the public around, and the farm was just what we were looking for - you have the entire property to yourselves. We also wanted various settings for each portion of the wedding (without actually driving somewhere) and we got exactly that - our rehearsal dinner was by the pond, guests arrived and walked through the wooded path, the ceremony was on the side of the barn in front of the beautiful barn doors, cocktail hour was behind the barn overlooking the back of the property, and then they walked down a long aisle to the tent for the reception. It was like they kept getting wowed over and over again and it made the day feel more like an experience than just a basic wedding.
The property itself is gorgeous. From
the horses to the barn to the pastures and tent, it takes your breath away everywhere you look. It’s also very clean and well-maintained (literally the barn is immaculate). Our guests were raving about it and saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to.
Finally, the owners, Catherine & Darren, are so kind, down to earth and helpful. Anytime I had a question, Catherine was very fast to respond and during the wedding day she has this calming effect. We are so grateful they opened their farm to us and would recommend it to any couple looking for a luxurious but relaxed vibe who want to take advantage of the expansive property. -

Best day of our lives
My husband and I got married in here in June. We absolutely loved our experience with Castle Farm. Darren and Catherine are amazing and so hopeful with any issues that come up. Our wedding was a dream and we got SO many compliments on the venue. So much is included with the rental and the woodwork is absolutely beautiful. Cannot say enough good things!!! -

Fairy Tale Wedding
I had a Fairy Tale dream wedding at Castle Farm! Their staff helped me find a wonderful horse to ride into my ceremony. They were down to earth and easy going while holding a safe and creative space for our celebration. The venue delighted us and our guests. Horses were in the fields and filled the barn during our cocktail hour. I loved the bridal suite. I recommend this venue, 100%! -

Perfection.
I couldn’t of asked for a better wedding venue. Everything from the whole year of planning to the day of was hands down the easiest. Tiffany, the wedding planner literally did everything while my mom and I didn’t even have to lift a finger. She is amazing and trustworthy.
Catherine & Darren Casto, the owners will do anything to make sure your wedding is everything and more that you ever dreamed of. I can’t thank them enough.
My wedding day i would do all over again every day if i could. Not ONE thing went wrong... -
