We could not have asked for a better DJ than Steven for our wedding! From the ceremony through cocktail hour and into the reception, he kept everything running so smoothly and brought the perfect energy to every part of the day. His input and suggestions helped the day flow seamlessly and created so many special moments we’ll never forget.
Once the reception started, Steven kept the dance floor packed all night long (and even jumped in with some dance moves himself, which our guests absolutely loved)! We got so many compliments from friends and family about how fun, positive, and talented he was.

Carter Events and Entertainment is professional & polished and was well-prepared with top-tier equipment that delivered crystal-clear sound for both ceremony and reception. Our DJ was incredibly easy to communicate with and very attentive to every detail. They even offered helpful suggestions for the timing of our special dances—ideas we hadn’t even thought of that made our evening run seamlessly. When our guests were taking breaks, Steven came out on the floor to dance with me (the bride), twirling and having a great time, Steven even taught me the Wobble! The sound system was crystal clear, and their lighting transformed the space, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Would hire again
We had Steven as our DJ at our recent wedding, and he did an amazing job! He had the dance floor going all night, and brought a lot of fun energy. He really added to the night! We got so many compliments from our guests on him.
I really appreciated the time he took to meet with us before the wedding, and talk through the whole evening. It made the day of much smoother. He did a great job guiding the reception and kept things going smooth. He struck a great balance of bringing a fun presence to the wedding.

Ever since booking with Carter Events & Entertainment in 2022, Steven Carter has been absolutely amazing to work with. Every time I reached out with a question, Steven was very responsive and willing to answer my questions as well as give honest advice/feedback from his perspective as the expert.
The energy that Steven brought on the day of my wedding was unmatched and contagious. Our wedding party had so much fun getting ready for the grand march with him. Throughout the reception, Steven would join our guests out on the dancefloor and kept the energy so fun. I don't know how he does it, but his energy did not seem to die at all the entire night. My parents even made a comment to me after my wedding day about how fun it was to watch Steven do his thing - he is an entertainer for sure. I will remember for a long time how much fun I had on the dancefloor thanks to Steven. I truly have nothing negative to say about our experience working with Carter Events & Entertainment.

Steven and Angie did an AMAZING job. From putting us at ease during the planning to the exection. It was perfect. Steven wrote THE.PERFECT. ceremony for our National Parks themed wedding. Angie was an amazing photographer and really captured the moments we wanted. She really helped us with the poses we wanted for both our engagement photos and wedding photos. We have a family connection with CEE so we were pretty sure we were going to use them to DJ our wedding but I'm so happy that that connection got us to CEE. Always on top of response times, reasonably priced, especially compared to a lot of other similar vendors in Milwaukee. Went with all the unique details of our day and were quick to answer an questions or address changing needs.
On the day of I didn't even notice them setting up - everything just appeared so no issues with promptness or professionalism there. Knew how to get people onto the dance floor when numbers were low and how to have fun with the crowd. Worked with all the song requests we had set up.

We initially chose Carter Events and Entertainment because it was the DJ our venue recommended. We are so glad they did! We had Steven as our DJ, he is a ball of energy! We met with him and he gave us a form to fill out about what exactly we were looking for in a DJ, level of involvement, music genres, do not plays and so much more! He laid it out and made it super easy for us to communicate what we wanted. Our wedding ran so smoothly because of him and the timeline he helped create for us. Once we were on the dance floor he played exactly what we were anticipating and just looked like he was having fun, which you can’t say about every DJ! We initially opted for no lights, but a couple weeks before wanted lighting added. Steven and DJ Steve were fantastic to work with. During the planning process, they were communicative and listened to our feedback throughout. On the actual day of our wedding, Steve made sure that we were always informed of what was upcoming from his side and anything he needed from us. He found all our requested songs, including some Broadway songs that I don't always expect DJs to have.
We also heard feedback that he was "quite unannoying", which was high praise in that instance! It meant he perfectly read the vibe of our guests and just made sure to jump in to mention important things rather than trying to be a center of attention when that wouldn't have fit our wedding. He took considerable effort not only to understand how we imagined our wedding, but also sharing his expertise during our planning stages. He gave us insightful recommendations and one or two cautionary tales–never to scare us, rather to help educate us.
When the day came, Steven made such a lasting impression on our friends and family. The dance floor was electric all night long! On the day of he really helped keep things on track, was a funny & engaging MC, & we got so many compliments on the music selection & his DJing skills. We liked the work Steve and Steven did for us so much, we wish we had booked more services through this company!! Steve was our officiant and DJ, and we think he would have been a great day-of coordinator as well (we'd already booked through another service). He kept the dance floor moving all night, even helping lead some of the line dances. He also made sure to play our favorite songs when we were out dancing. We also took dance lessons with Steven (the owner of the company) and hired him to choreograph our first dance. He did an excellent job balancing our different skill levels. Honestly these two men are amazing! Steve Carter likes to be in touch with all his customers! Steve Naumann was awesome the night of the wedding! His suit that I picked out for him really showed his personality and I chose for the DJ to be very interactive and he was! He knew all the moves to the group dances and did it so flawlessly. Steve Naumann and Ang Carter (she worked the photo booth) did amazing and made my night perfect! Honestly, the photo book they put together was so much better than my guest book because the photos help me remember the night 20 years from now! Amazing company! Above and beyond, hands down the best!
I had the pleasure of meeting Steven Carter at a wedding exbo in Madison. He was dressed in all orange and had a huge smile on his face! I knew I was in the moment I saw him! From then on, Steven had a few meetings with us to organize, plan, and to just listen to us vent. Steven became more than just a dj doing a job, he became a friend who cared. And this carried over to not just us but to all of our guests as well. Steven helped release tables during dinner, he kept conversation flowing with guests, and he wasn't caught without a smile on his face. He joined many dances and kept the night entertaining and purely enjoyable. He brought so much positive energy and fun to the evening! He also kept the bride and groom in his top priority. He was able to grab us both and pull us away from the hundreds of conversations so we could catch a moment together and get some beautiful sunset pictures! And during all of this, his wonderful wife kept the photo booth going and placed a copy of everything in a book for us to keep and take home. Carter Entertainment offers the full package and more! The best DJ!
When they say RUN DO NOT WALK!! We mean it, booking Steven as your DJ for your wedding or any event at all will make it a thousand times better than you would have expected. Steven goes above and beyond for his couples, he not only played the music we wanted BUT he danced with us, and even when no one else was dancing he kept it going and always brought us back to the dance floor.

Steven was honestly the hype man of the day. He was on top of everything and helped keep the night running smoothly. I would highly recommend him for coordinating as well as he was 100% keeping the day running smooth. He made sure everyone was where they needed to be and when he didn’t see me on the dance floor he came and brought me to my happy place. He worked with us to customize our playlist and even fulfilled my dream of walking down the aisle to the game of thrones song! It was honestly perfect! He was on the dance floor all night and teaching guests how to dance to some popular songs. He was perfect. His sister Katti worked the Photo Booth and she was amazing. So sweet and she put together a wonderful scrapbook with all the photos taken and I am obsessed. We were fortunate to be recommended Carter Entertainment by a family member. We got set up with DJ Steve and could not have been happier! We were sent an event list asking about our music preferences and they got everything squared away. Steve also managed our timeline the day of the event. He did a wonderful job! He even has some cool suits and asked us what one we preferred, all of our guests got a kick out of his style. Steve is a personable, fun, and awesome guy!

Steven Carter was our DJ and he was spectacular! We got so many compliments over how great he was from so many people and he is such a pleasure to work with! His dance moves are so fabulous they must be seen to be believed! Not only did he rock our reception, he provided the music for the ceremony and cocktail hour and our guests had nothing but glowing remarks as to how everything sounded. Everything was so seamless and both my husband and I regretted that we didn’t have more dancefloor time (you know how you just keep getting dragged away into conversations). WOW! Our wedding day was absolutely the most amazing in large part to our wonderful DJ and wife at the photo booth! Steve's THE guy- infectious personality, energetic, and an expert at what he does. He checked in on my husband and I frequently, bringing us our first drinks of the night even, and got the crowd going! My guests enjoyed dancing with him and the fact that he'd get out on the dancefloor with us all and teach guests the moves! He followed every song request/music style requests to a T and so many of our guests danced the night away. We hired Carter Events to be our ceremony sound support and DJ. Steven helped us throughout the planning process and was very responsive to our questions. Adam was our day of event DJ and he did an amazing job. He was very friendly and made sure we had what we needed, knew what was coming next, and checked in with us multiple times throughout the night to see how we were liking everything. We had an Indian American wedding and Adam nailed keeping the dancing going and taking Indian song requests. He even played a few songs after our “last” song and it was very much appreciated by everyone. We hired Steve Naumann as our DJ and Angie Carter as our photographer. They were both amazing to work with. Steve had at least a handful of people on the dance floor at all times. Given COVID and people being hesitant about dancing to begin with, that was a major win. We wanted throwback music and he nailed it! I have never been to a wedding with such an awesome DJ. I didn't want to leave the dance floor!
Angie did a great job of directing us and our wedding party while still being open to our ideas for photos. She was also a rockstar at keeping us right on time with each of our stops for photos! I can't wait to get our photos back!

Pearce Wedding
I don’t even know where to start! We had Steven Carter as our DJ and all night I had MULTIPLE guests tell me how amazing our DJ was! We danced all night! Not once was the dance floor empty!! He came out and danced with us and showed the guests how to do the cha cha slide and all those other fun ones! He played all the songs we asked for and more! All the special dances were perfect, the bouquet toss and garter toss were hysterical!!! Seriously knows how to keep a party going! If we could’ve we probably would’ve been dancing till the sun came up! Highly highly highly recommend!!! Hands down the best DJ ever! -
