Wonderful “Flash Wedding” Experience in lovely quarry setting.

Our daughter’s “Flash Wedding” at Carrigan Farms, Mooresville was perfect and just what the couple wanted. It was simple, elegant, private, conveniently located and in the most beautiful setting imaginable. The staff took all the hassle out of planning a wedding and at a reasonable price. Loved the minister and the photographer was great and knew how to wrangle a family with kids😊. We’re really looking forward to seeing the photos. Thank you all so much!

Incredible

My husband and I could not have picked a better venue for our wedding. All the guests were seriously blown away by the scenery, service, and experience. The whole experience wouldn’t have been half as magical if it was somewhere else. The venue has so many options to take your wedding experience to a whole different level. Our guests had the best time, and so did we!! Thank you Carrigan Farms!!

The Quarry

My wedding could not be more magical. It was STUNNING. I could go on and on, Doug was sooooo quick to respond for every single question I had. His whole team and Johnny were amazing through the whole process. The FOOD was perfect and amazing, every single guest loved it. This place is GORGEOUS guys it doesn’t get better than this. I never wanted the night to end!!!!

Phenomenal

I will never forget our wedding day largely in part to the magnificent venue. I walked down a long boardwalk, next to a gorgeous body of water to get married on a sandy terrain with a waterfall directly behind us. I am gluten free and they even went as far as to go and get me gluten free buns. On a weekday- everything is nearly half priced too! Made for a pretty inexpensive wedding.

Perfect wedding & reception venue!!!

Our wedding at the Quarry at Carrigan Farms was the most magical day of our lives! The team there puts on a great event! The ceremony and reception spaces were set up just how I wanted them to be, the food was PHENOMENAL (!!!!!), the bartenders and wait staff were awesome, etc. I could go on and on! Doug and Kelly are communicative and flexible, and answer any questions you have along the way. They run a seamless show/party, and we could not be happier with our experience there! Mother of the bride

When my daughter and son-in-law started their search for a wedding venue, they were looking for a place that all their guests would enjoy and everyone would have a great time celebrating in a relaxed atmosphere. At the very first meeting with Doug, we knew we were in good hands! He made the entire process such a pleasure, offered plenty of knowledge and expert advice, and was more than willing to accommodate a few special requests. He took all of the stress out of the planning process and approached everything with such ease. The natural beauty of the venue absolutely stunned our guests, and lended to very minimal decorations on our part. It was as if we were in our own little magical place for the entire evening. In addition to the beauty of the venue, the meal prepared for the reception far exceeded our expectations! It was by far the best wedding meal we have ever experienced! Doug personally mans the large outdoor grills, and most of the food is grown fresh right on the farm. We cannot thank Doug, Johnny and the entire Carrigan staff enough for helping create a wonderful event!! Lori B.

The most amazing place to get married!

I can't say enough good things about our experience at the Quarry at Carrigan Farms!! It was just what we wanted and just what I dreamed of. Being a second wedding for both of us, we wanted a smaller, more intimate venue and as soon as we saw the Quarry, I knew we had found our spot. The Carrigans were wonderful and their staff was amazing. The food is all so fresh and our guests raved about it. We loved our having our most special day in such a beautiful setting!

Alex and Casey wedding event

We went to visit this venue on a Sunday night and loved every second of it. It was amazing and beautiful and although it was dark out he made it light up so that we could see everything. He was a great guy and I’d definitely recommend!

Best venue

We LOVED working with Doug and co while planning our wedding. The venue is BEAUTIFUL and we had SO many comments on how great the food was. His staff was responsive and made a point of bringing my husband and I food during the reception-- which was very helpful because I'm not sure we would have eaten otherwise. I typically communicated with Doug by email and never had any trouble getting in touch with him. My only comments to future brides would be to consider ahead of time having your rehearsal somewhere else. The Quarry is very busy and it was difficult to get our rehearsal scheduled. We ended up having it at our church instead. Also, don't forget that there is tax and gratuity added to your bill :)

Carrigan Farms was the most amazing wedding venue! The Quarry looked beautiful. Guests were wowed by the place. We were told by nearly every single guest that it was the best meal they have ever had at a wedding. Doug and Kelly were perfect, everything was perfect without much effort on my end. The waterfall, the lighting, their vendor recommendations. It was the greatest day of our lives. Best venue.

Thank you to Doug, Kelly, Johnny, Karen and the rest of the folks at Carrigan Farms! Our wedding was Oct. 8 and we and our guests couldn't have been more pleased. We had our heart set on an outdoor ceremony and this space is perfect as you have an open air pavilion for the reception and/or rain location. When you hear the food from their kitchen is above average for wedding fare, you're hearing truth. The chicken, the kabobs, the sides, and even the appetizer were delicious! The scenery and the space is even more beautiful than the photos you'll find online from the Quarry. We aimed for simple and budget-friendly decorations because we knew the venue was gorgeous enough. Spring for the lights and waterfall instead of stressing over complicated decorations. If you pick this venue and want to skip hiring a DJ, that is possible as they have a sound system and you can plug in your phone/playlist. We didn't do this but I thought it was a nice option as the venue and catering here might be at the top end of some wedding budgets. Also, if you're willing to bypass a few traditional but really unnecessary wedding items, this venue can ultimately save you some money. They include basic knee length table clothes, cutlery and all the tables and chairs you need, including for your vendors. Highly recommended. Book early and be flexible when selecting a date (we chose a Sunday) because this venue is very popular even though it's still somewhat unknown by many in Charlotte. From set up to tear down, we truly appreciated the hard work and effort the staff puts forth. With their experience and the way they run the day-of, you really don't even need a wedding coordinator. Just have a few friends helping you day-of.

When Mr. Carrigan tells you not to worry, they will take care of everything--he is 110% Correct! This venue could not have been a better fit for us. Food, staff, scenery=AMAZING!

We had our wedding in May at the Quarry and let me tell you, it was absolutely awesome. Our guests couldn't stop gushing about the location and the atmosphere. Doug was awesome. He answered our questions and provided a wonderful venue for us. The food was awesome. I would totally recommend this venue to anyone whether budget conscious (because we were, and we ended up way below our original budget) or wanting extravagance.

Carrigan Farms was so perfect!! The staff was incredibly helpful through out the night and made sure everything went smoothly. It is so gorgeous there and they really can accommodate pretty much anything!

Doug and his team were amazing. We had a brunch wedding and they modified the menu to add some breakfast items including a bloody mary bar. The food was excellent and the venue's beauty and tranquility takes everyone by surprise.

This venue is truly one of the most beautiful in the area. It is also much more affordable than many. The food was excellent. The service was above and beyond. The Carrigans upgraded my food to a more expensive choice for free on the day of my wedding. They were absolutely wonderful in making sure all our needs were met that day. I highly recommend Carrigan Farms.

My husband and I got married at Carrigan Farms on the 16th of April. Unfortunately it rained on us so we had to move the wedding under the wedding pavilion but the crew new exactly what to do to still make sure the wedding was beautiful and went off without any problems. The food was phenomenal and when the rain cleared up we were able to take amazing pictures. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants to have a beautiful wedding in a remote outdoor space. Everyone who went raved about the food and the view. One of my friends wants to have her vow renewal there as well. Everything about this place was perfect!

Great food. Great service. Amazing staff. They literally made my day perfect. Carrigan farms is one of the most gorgeous places to get married. All of my friends and family cannot stop talking about the delicious food and overall experience at my wedding. Carrigan Farms is the most beautiful place to get married. We had such a wonderful night. We rented the house to get ready in and it was totally worth it. Kelly was such a great help. I was constantly asking questions and she was always quick to reply and help me in any way she can. Kelly made my centerpieces and all of my bouquets. They came out gorgeous and more than I could have wished for. I really put my trust in her to pull off this wedding and she did it even more than I thought could be possible. The food was so tasty. Everyone loved the wedding. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. This was the perfect venue!

We loved having our wedding at Carrigan Farms. Not only did it provide the perfect, outdoors setting that we were looking for, but the food was some of the best we had ever had. My Daughter's Wedding
Thank you so much to Doug and Kelly Carrigan and their amazing staff, for a wonderful wedding! We couldn't have been more pleased. We chose to do a 'Flash Wedding' and sure enough, within a week, all the details were handled. Carrigan Farms provided EVERYTHING but the dress and the guests! We chose to bring our own cake, though they were able to provide that as well, and my daughter did her own centerpieces as this was also her choice. Upon arrival we were greeted by both Kelly and Doug Carrigan, they were present to make sure that all our needs were met, and they were! The rock quarry is absolutely gorgeous and made a beautiful backdrop for this wedding. The DJ and Photographer and Minister were perfect and I can't wait to see all the pictures. I just can't say enough great things about our experience here. Our daughter and her new husband were so happy with everything. Thank you for giving her the day of her dreams!

When I chose Carrigan farms, we were still a year and a half away from the wedding. I was a little nervous I might find something I liked better. Now, three months after the wedding, everyone is still raving about how much they loved the location, the food and the wedding. It rained on us, but it was still the perfect spot for us. I can't imagine getting married anywhere else. Doug and his team do a fantastic job. I didn't have to worry about anything except having a blast and enjoying the night. Carrigan Farms looks like Heaven on earth.

Very organized, down to earth people to work with. The food was amazing as expected and the setting is unique and beautiful. We unfortunately had a very bad experience with our event coordinator/decorator (Deborah Bell & Company), and Doug and his staff, with Carrigan Farms, stepped in and took care of everything. We couldn't be happier with them!!

The staff at Carrigan Farms was fantastic! They met our expectations and really handled all of the details so that we wouldn't have to. We used their recommendations when it came to decorating, set-up, and place settings. We were very happy with everything. The Carrigans really helped to make our day magical.

We had our reception at Carrigan Farms and could not have asked for a more perfect location and event. Doug and Kelly Carrigan and their staff were great to work with throughout the entire process. They essentially act a day of coordinators and can provide recommendations for anything you need leading up to the wedding. We used several of Carrigan Farm's recommended vendors, including linens and shuttle vans, and several services available through them, including food, tables/chairs, photobooth, fans and bartenders. Carrigan Farms hosts many receptions and events so our reception (set up, entire event and clean up) ran very smoothly. The staff did everything for our reception and no one in our family had to worry with any of the details. The food at our reception was fresh and delicious and the entire night was perfect. We are very thankful to Carrigan Farms for making our day so wonderful.

We had soooooooooooooooo many people comment on what a beautiful venue we had picked. Most said "who knew this little gem was in the middle of this farm." The Carrigan family was amazing to work with, they were always there for us through the entire process. They delivered everything they promised and more. Hopefully something takes us back to Carrigan soon!

Carrigan Farms is such a beautiful location for a wedding. My husband & I visited the Quarry and immediately knew that was our wedding site. The views are gorgeous, as everyone of our guests have told us. The food is almost, if not, as amazing as their food! I cannot tell you how many compliments we received on the view & food because there were so many! We chose steaks, shrimp, & salmon as well as fresh veggies from the farm. All of the staff was very friendly & helpful. Doug Carrigan is a wonderful cook & go to person. Not only did he help us with ideas of how to set things up, he also took time out of his day to give us some ideas on where to go on our honeymoon. I am so happy my husband & I picked this location for our day!

Wow! That is all I have to say about this venue. It was absolutely perfect! Doug and Kelly Carrigan are so wonderful and helpful throughout your planning process. The quarry is beautiful and the food is OUTSTANDING! The only downside, if you consider it that, is that they do not currently have restrooms. We used to restroom trailers and they were spotless and had AC. The Carrigans do plan on having working restrooms next year!

When we visited Carrigan Farms, we immediately knew we wouldn't find a better place to get married. The scenery is absolutely stunning, private, with plenty of space, and Doug was very helpful and professional right from the very first moment.

Our wedding day was really perfect, the weather was great (we got married mid-May), the food was absolutely delicious (especially the shrimp skewers and the fillet mignons). We are only sad that it went by too fast, and we wish we could do it again!

Very highly recommended !

There is absolutely no other place I could have possibly found that would make our wedding as BEAUTIFUL and UNIQUE as what we had at Carrigan Farms. Just go visit it! It's a haven tucked away for the type of people who want a gorgeous, natural, outdoor wedding that's a blend of the mountains and beach, with the ceremony & reception all in one place. We had our ceremony in the sand, overlooking water and rocks, and our reception within steps of that underneath a pavilion with the same beautiful view. They provided all the food (with many of the ingredients coming from their own family farm there) which was FANTASTIC too.

When people see our wedding photos, they cannot believe that we found a place that's as unique as this near Charlotte and not on some island or actually in the mountains or the beach. It's a hidden gem and I recommend it HIGHLY.

I cannot say enough good things about Carrigan Farms and the family! It was amazing the steak and shrimp were incredible, and all you can eat! Fruits and veggies fresh off the farm! Doug and family were all involved in the wedding, and helped with planning when needed, it would not have been complete without them...absolutely beautiful location for pictures! A real oasis...highly highly recommend for an amazing outdoor wedding experiance!

I had my wedding at Carrigan Farms this past year and it was the perfect choice for us! The food was amazing and we have had many people tell us how good the steak was and how gorgeous the venue is. Many are from Charlotte and never knew about it and said it is a hidden treasure. Carrigan Farms really does know what they are doing. Even after we shopped around, we ended up using every vendor they recommended and every vendor was amazing, responsive and helped make our wedding day perfect. Everything went by so well and it was a stress-free day for my fiance and me. If you are looking for an outdoor venue that will wow your friends and family, this is the place for you.

Carrigan Farms is an amazing wedding venue. I say this because not only is it beautiful, but because of the level of service you receive. First, let me say I dare anyone to find a more idyllic, secluded, and welcoming outdoor venue in all of NC. The area around the quarry is just amazing and the perfect blend of beach, water, and carolina country. The level of service and down to earth discussion with the owners is wonderful. Carrigan cuts out all of the rigamarole and red tape and walks you through getting to your perfect wedding. They are not trying to up sale you here. They give you their opinion from the many many weddings they have hosted and help you determine what absolutely works best for you. On the day of, their service was outstanding. One of the reasons we selected this venue is because of their use of local products, even ones grown on their own farm. Every single person at the wedding commented that the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding, and many even said the steak was the best steak they had had in their entire life! It's really just that good. You will not be disappointed by the level of service, location, or food that is offered, so if you can get in to Carrigan farms, please make sure you do so!

This venue is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! As soon as we saw it in person, we knew it was the place to get married! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect! Doug and Kelly and everyone else on their staff were helpful and so flexible and nice! They let us come watch a wedding ahead of time to try the food and see everything. They gave us tons of tips that made wedding planning so much easier! The day of, they were amazing from the biggest things down to tiny details like covering our gifts with a tarp in case it rained, bringing us food during the photo hour, and even saving us some of the carved fruit we had bought from another vendor to ensure we had some of everything since it went so fast! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue!

Not sure where to start...EVERYTHING was AMAZING!!!!! And I'm not just saying this. I got married on March 19th and for some strange reason, there was an arctic chill that came through and it was FREEZING!!! lol 72 degrees and beautiful the day before...but by 5 pm on Saturday IT....WAS....COLD...and despite that, the only things I keep hearing from my guests are 1) best wedding food they've ever had 2) the venue was GORGEOUS 3) one of the best weddings they've ever been to. I didn't spend a whole lot of time planning so this is really the only place I really considered. For the price, this can't be beat. If I really want to be super nit-picky, I can come up with a few cons, but it's tough. Cons: 1) it's a little out the way...Mooresville is about 30 minutes north of Charlotte 2) I REALLY wanted the waterfall and lights, but they are extra and I just couldn't swing it 3) since they have so many weddings, the rehearsal time is slim to none. We were able to fit an hour in the day before, but it was rushed 4) If you have older, handicapped folk, the bathrooms are a little far

But all of the cons are easily outweighed by the Pros: 1) You just can't beat the price 2) the natural scenery is breath taking 3) The Carrigans are a really nice couple and the onsite manager John was super helpful 3) Food was awesome

I mean I truly can go on and on...even with me and my guests freezing, it was an awesome day. Since it was cold they brought out heat lamps, which really helped, and lit a bonfire. If you're looking for an outdoor space, this is probably your best bet.

This place is absolutely beautiful and private with plenty of parking. There aren't any "working bathrooms" and you have to either use porta jons or rental an "upscale" portajon. However, sometime in the future, this won't be a problem as they are working to get real bathrooms. They are super flexible and really try to work around whatever you want to do...But my only suggestion, is that you definitely pay someone to set all your decor up because you have very limited time to do so if you are a Do-it-yourselfer. I would definitely have my wedding there all over again...You really can't beat the price which includes the venue, catering, tables, chairs, etc...

First, I will start by saying that overall, our experience was good. The food was excellent and the venue was gorgeous. The downside is that Carrigan Farms does not make you feel as though your special day is "special." Everything is planned by email correspondence. Emails are not always answered promptly. During the planning process, it felt as though Carrigan Farms was too busy to really listen to our specific questions or needs for our special day as they were handling so many other weddings. Be prepared, they are extremely busy.

Make sure to keep in mind that you (Brides) will not be able to decorate prior to the wedding. I was under the impression that Carrigan Farms would have a team to setup (which would include putting out centerpieces) but that is not what happened. My mother and mother-in-law ended up decorating ALL of the tables right before the ceremony as the setup team we were advised of did not decorate.

Once it had rained for an hour, we (groom and myself) made the decision to move the wedding ceremony under the pavilion. We were told by the setup leader that there were not enough staff to move our chairs although we had a small # of wedding guests (under 60). Fortunately, our DJ took charge and had the chairs moved despite Carrigan Farms' unwillingness to work with us due to the weather. The day after the wedding, we realized early in the morning that we had forgotten a few decorations we wanted to keep. My husband called Carrigan Farms immediately (around 9 am) and asked if we could pick up the decorations. He was under the impression he was irritating Carrigan Farms as they had another wedding setup scheduled at 11 am. (Our wedding was paid for and they had already moved on to the next wedding). At the least, I would have expected Carrigan Farms to inquire how our experience was, etc.

Although Carrigan Farms is reasonably low in price compared to other venues, you get what you pay for.

We had our wedding on a Thursday. We got lucky with the weather and the food was also very good. Everyone was raving about the shrimp. It was very laid back and stress free until about 10.30pm when they told us we have to be out by 11. Total shock for us since we had negotiated the place until midnight. The guests were disappointed and don't think they'll be recommending it.
