Christine from Carrie Karibo went above and beyond to ensure that I had the best day. She made me feel like an absolute princess. She spent so much time trying to find the right dress with me and was EXTREMELY patient with me. The dress she suggested was the one I ended up with. When I went back the second time she wasn't working but she made sure Sherry knew the dress and all the details. I also worked with Sherry and a few other of the ladies, who were amazing. Everyone was so friendly from the minute I scheduled through purchasing. I will be bringing my mom and MIL back to find their dresses. 10000/10 recommend.

Most beautiful dresses!
I had multiple appointments set up in the area and this was our second stop, we ended up canceling the others! I knew I wanted to go to Carrie Karibo because of some of the designers they have. Their dresses are so beautiful! The staff is so kind, they were patient and helpful. They didn’t rush us at all, we had the best time and they did a champagne toast when we said yes to the dress! The only issue I had was that I didn’t get their email when my dress came in, only until I called to follow up did I know it was ready for pick up. I wish they would just call when the dress is in rather than relying on the email system. Other than that, not a single issue, my dress was perfect and I would definitely give them my business again if I had to do it all over! Ended up getting accessories here as well! Highly recommend going here to find your dream dress! They also gave me a recommendation for alterations and she was fantastic!
Stepping into this beautiful boutique, I was questioning if my "dream dress" would fall out of my price-range. The workers there were not pushy in trying to sell me something out of my price range. The actually worked with me in only looking at dresses in my price range. My dress (the 3rd one I tried on) was absolutely beautiful and everything I could have dreamed of (and more!) They recommended a seamstress, Jenny for me and she altered my dress beautifully. Working with everyone from Carrie Karibo was such an amazing experience. I highly recommend checking them out!!

I booked a few appointments and stopped after shopping at Carrie Karibo Boutique. I worked with Sherry and she was so kind!! When we found the dress everyone was crying. They have beautiful dresses! I got an Evelyn dress that was actually a trunk show dress. A trunk show is a special event in which a bridal salon features a particular designer's collection. The bride has a unique opportunity to view and try on wedding dresses straight off the runway before they are available in stores. Evelyn gowns were being featured! It was so incredibly beautiful. 100% recommend making an appointment here.

Carrie Karibo Bridal is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We ended up at Carrie Karibo Bridal by chance and I am SO incredibly thankful we did. We originally had an appointment at another boutique but ended up giving it away due to the crowded and chaotic environment. Initially I was a little disappointed as I knew it would be hard to find availability as a walk-in on a busy Saturday (plus we had four adults and a baby in our group) but when we stopped in to Carrie Karibo Bridal, Carrie (the owner) did not even blink an eye and said ‘Of course we can take you!’. The boutique itself was stunning with a beautiful section for bridesmaids dresses in the front and then a private oasis for wedding dresses in the back. The oversized dressing rooms were perfect for me and my guests to relax and truly enjoy the experience. Sherry, my consultant, was wonderful. She explained all the different styles and showed me where they were located in the boutique (which was super helpful as it can be overwhelming to sift through hundreds of dresses!). Additionally, she made sure to point out specific designers that were within my price range. During the appointment, Carrie would occasionally pop in to see how things were going and even sat down to play with the baby - how SWEET is that?! The whole experience was absolutely magical - topped off by finding my dream dress and celebrating with champagne. I cannot thank Carrie, Sherry, and the staff at Carrie Karibo Bridal enough for making my day beyond perfect.

Carrie Karibo Bridal Boutique is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL and I would recommend them to any bride needing help with DECISIONS AND HONESTY.
They are not there to sell dresses for the sake of selling but instead are there to honestly help you find the perfect dress for your body and shape and for the vision that you have and the image you want to project. We visited Carrie Karibo 3 times and tried dresses. They never lost patience with us as we were struggling to make the right decision.
We visited four boutiques during our hunt for the perfect dress. By far, Carrie and her staff were the nicest, most honest, caring and sincere professionals.
I'm not sure I can explain the gratitude we have for Carrie and her staff in simple words. They are the most patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable . We had an idea of what we wanted from a shopping online and through magazines and Carries' staff was able to make our vision happen. They saved us money by suggesting we cut things that weren't necessary. Megan was so thoughtful, thorough and one of the absolute nicest people we've ever met. I’m so thankful we purchased the most incredible dress from Carrie Karibo's boutique.
Another very important factor for us is that they have a tailor/alterations person that they work with and is awesome with her craft. They do not give you a list of alteration businesses and close the door behind you. Carrie cares that you have an excellent alterations person who is tried and true to her craft. They care that your dress fits perfectly after alterations have been made.
If you are like we were it's a MUST that you visit Carrie Karibo in the Reading Bridal District. She will not disappoint and you will most assuredly find the dress for your vision.

I had to find a dress last minute, and these ladies were so much help to me! My dress maker dropped the ball, and 5 weeks before my wedding there was still no dress. I went into 2 other stores, and was treated like a pariah for shopping for a dress 5 weeks before my wedding. It was pretty upsetting already, because the dress being made was my mother's. I hadn't planned on buying a dress. When I explained my situation to the ladies at Carrie Karibo they did everything they could to help me find a dress for "a September wedding" (it was August when I shopped there.) They made my experience special. Even though I couldn't use my mom's dress, I still have a very special dress due to these ladies.

Wow! I don't even know where to start. First, I am from NYC so my only interaction with Carrie Karibo has been on the phone or email. I found my dream dress, but I couldn't buy it here so I was on a search to buy this dress! I must have emailed or called about 20 salons all over the US and CK was the only one willing to help!
I knew I was taking a risk buying the dress from a totally different state, without seeing it or knowing anything about the salon. However, Carrie and Julie were so happy to help me and they went out of their way to make it happen! I even had a nervous moment of uncertainty about sizing and must have emailed them a dozen times but they were so sweet and supportive and talked me through it.
I just got the dress in the mail last week and I nearly cried! It is gorgeous, came perfectly wrapped up and fits like a glove! I cannot thank them enough for making my wedding dress dream come true!

I had such an amazing experience at Carrie Karibou! It was the second store I went in with my mom and I ended up getting the first dress I put on. Carrie and Julie knew what I was looking for and offered great advice as well as a fun, positive, affirming experience (what every bride deserves!) The dress needed to be ordered quickly for my wedding 6 months away, and Carrie was on the phone even before I decided on my dress (she knew it was the one!) to make sure it would get in on time. I also ordered my accessories at the store and Julie worked with me to customize my earrings and headpiece. They were so beautiful and the champagne crystals matched the nude lace on the back of my Leanne Marshall dress. My veil was simple and elegant and perfect for the dress, per the suggestion of Julie and Carrie. Also, when I was getting my dress hemmed, I wanted a small "train" but not too long so I would trip over it while dancing - I really didn't know what to do and Carrie came up with the perfect solution to hem the bottom layer up, and leave the outer light layer longer. It was perfect! Since I picked out my dress with my mom, they hosted a "reveal" party with my bridesmaids with champagne to show them my dress! That was really special and above and beyond what I believe most stores would do. Thank you so much Carrie Karibou Bridal - my dress was perfect and I felt so beautiful on my wedding day!

My mom and I had a great experience finding my dress here! We would highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Julie. She is a mom with daughters and she just gets it! We came in the first time to browse and found a few dresses we liked. We came back again with our budget set and realized those dresses were all above our budget. Julie took a lot of time to go back through the store to pull similiar dresses all within our budget! She had great advice and I always felt like she had my best interest at heart. I am picky and indecisive but felt like there were so many beautiful options here!

I had visited several bridal shops and went to Carrie Karibou on the recommendation of another shop who did not have the dress that I envisioned. Julie listened very carefully and found the perfect dress for a second marriage. It is fabulous!! Carrie and Julie also suggested the crystal necklace, earrings and short, flirty veil. Even though things did not work out so perfectly (no fault of theirs) and I was unable to wear my mother of the bride dress for my daughters wedding, I have to say that Carrie, Julie and Hillary were so wonderful to work with, so professional and just a pleasure. We also ordered my daughters bridesmaids dresses here as well. They noticed a slight color discrepancy and immediately had Jenny Yoo remake the dresses for us in plenty of time for the wedding and they were so perfect. What service, care and attention to detail we found at this boutique. My son is getting married too this October and we ordered those bridesmaids dresses here as well! We have already received those dresses and they are just beautiful! This is the shop you want because, you know, sometimes things don't always go as planned and you need a team you can count on to be there for you, to take care of everything with care, professionalism, kindness and compassion. I wanted a dress that was not: poofy, strapless, or lacy. I wanted something that was classic but not necessarily traditional. This is harder to find than it sounds. Thank goodness for Carrie Karibo.
I visited on a Monday morning, which was fabulous, as we had the place to ourselves. (It is nice not to be rushed or crowded for these things.) The staff @ CKB was awesome. I was introduced to the different "sections" of designers, shown a few pieces, and then let loose to browse on my own. Unlike some boutiques that had only 1 or 2 dresses I would even consider, CKB had SO many beautiful, modern, unique (but still wearable!) gowns.
As I tried on dresses, the staff was super helpful in getting me in & out, tucked & clipped. We played bridal barbie and tried on different accessories with the dresses. Photos were snapped (they allow this here!) and I narrowed it down to two. One of the dresses was a bit more glamorous and form-fitting than I had imagined for myself, but it looked so lovely on and the ladies at CKB and my family gave me the confidence that I could totally pull it off. I wasn't quite sure, and since this was my first stop, and I decided to check out a few more places before deciding. I went to two other boutiques in Cincinnati.
The next time I was in town, I went back to CKB to buy the dress. Luckily for me, I came in on "White Friday" - the day after Thanksgiving, and got 10% off my wedding dress & veil. The comb on my veil wasn't correct when it arrived, but with a quick phone call, CKB took care of it. My San Patrick dress was so beautiful, and I cannot tell you how many people complimented my dress saying it was unlike any other wedding dress they had ever seen. I am so grateful to Carrie Karibo & her team for helping me pick the most beautiful dress for our wedding. I just wish I could wear it again.

I have several bridesmaid dresses from Carrie Karibo, so I knew that when I got engaged, this is where I was coming for my wedding gown. I had my wedding in Jamaica and they had several options for me to choose from that were appropriate for my venue. I ended up choosing a flowy lace gown by Amy Kuschel and it was so beautiful, comfortable, and easy to travel with. I let my bridesmaids choose whatever short dress style they wanted by Lynn Lugo in a chablis color. I believe I ended up working with every stylist there (there is not a big staff) at some point or another, and everyone was equally patient, pleasant and helpful. I will keep coming back for future friends weddings!

The gowns were really unique and tastefully chosen. I fell in love with a gown there, and could not believe how well priced it was. I came to Cincinnati from Chicago in search of my wedding gown because I had heard about the area that has everything bridal. With my mom, sister, and best friend in tow, we parked the car and decided to just explore to see what was out there. My wedding was not for over a year, so my plan was just to get some ideas. The first store we walked in was Carrie Karibo. It was the cutest little boutique and reminded me of being back in the city. It was Carrie who actually personally greeted us and instantly made us feel comfortable. Everything looked so beautiful that I had no idea where to start. Carrie suggested I browse, pull some gowns I liked and said we would "edit" from there once I began trying on. The styles I thought I would like were not working and Carrie asked if she could choose some and I said "sure". She is so good at what she does and made it so easy, I ended up saying yes to one she suggested! I had not even planned on picking my gown that day and would not have ever pulled the one she suggested off the rack! The rest of our weekend was free to plan other details of my wedding day. Carrie Karibo Boutique is a brides santuary in Reading's bridal row. Its has a calm/quiet/light feel and you can tell the owner puts thought into the dresses she stocks. Its kinda like the Nordstrom of bridal boutiques...fantastic quality and design for a decent price!
Carrie really knows her dresses well, she can tell you straight away if they can be modified or what color they come. Best experience ever! I love my dress!

I can't say enough about Carrie and the experience I had at her boutique! I knew I wasn't a typical bride so searching for a wedding dress gave me anxiety before I started, but luckily I found Carrie Karibo and went there first. The boutique itself is very charming, and she only carries designers that match her style- which I loved. You wont find an abundance of corseted poufy gowns here that weigh a million pounds. The dresses she carries are pretty, classic, romantic, whimsical, and just plain beautiful. I tried on 5-6 dresses, and I loved 3 of them. So we took photos of me in them, then my Mom and I left to grab lunch and check out one other store on that street to have something to compare to. The second store was more traditional- when I got there they strapped me up in a corset and slip, and squeezed me into dresses that I hated, covered in sequins and heavy lace. The dresses and the place just were not me- so I immediately went back to Carrie Karibo, put on the front-runner, and began crying immediately. That was the dress! Carrie and her staff were not pushy at all, selected dresses that matched my photos, budget, and vision, and were so sweet the entire time. They even started crying when my Mom and I did! Please please please check out Carrie Karibo and her lovely boutique- you will not be disappointed!

I absolutely LOVE Carrie Karibo!!!!!! Other than my gown, we outfitted our entire bridal party AND both moms from Carrie Karibo. The entire experience was incredible. Carrie and her staff were beyond helpful throughout the entire process. I e-mailed them constantly with questions and they were quick to respond and so gracious. They made me feel like their most important customer every time. And I know they treat ALL of their customers that way. They could not have been more accommodating with us as we worked through changes on the tux and managed through groomsmen who were out of town. I absolutely LOVED working with Carrie and her team and would highly recommend them to anyone that will listen!

I searched several bridal stores in my home town for the perfect wedding gown but could not find anything that I loved. My best friend has always raved about Carrie Karibo Boutique in Cincinnati, so I took a day off from work, got in my car and I drove almost 200 miles. I and so happy that I did because it was totally worth the time! This was a wonderful place with a great staff. I told the ladies what I was looking for and they showed me several gorgeous gowns including the one I will be walking down the aisle in. I am so happy I took Ami’s advice and whet to this place. The selection is so different from all of the generic bridal stores and they made it so easy and comfortable!

I recently got engaged on Christmas, so my mom and I decided to go celebrate and went looking at bridal gowns. We went to a couple of stores, not expecting to buy anything yet, since I don’t even have a wedding date. We were unimpressed with what we saw and were about to give up for the day but decided to look at one more store, Carrie Karibo Boutique. We walked in and were greeted by Carrie herself. She made us feel so comfortable and special. I told her what I liked and she pulled a few gowns for me to try on. When I tried the second dress on, I knew this was “the one” and bought it that day. So now all I have to do is pick-out a date to wear it!

Christmas came early for me this year! I was home for the Thanksgiving weekend and was not planning on looking for my wedding dress. My mom & sister said however, we should “just go out and look”, since we were all together. I sure am glad I did. We decided to start at Carrie Karibo Boutique, since all my friends have had great experiences there and were fortunate to get a last minute appointment, due to a cancellation. I tried on one dress and knew it was the perfect dress for me, so I bought it on the spot! The staff was wonderful and I would recommend the store to anyone! My daughter and I came to Carrie Karibo for my daughter's bridesmaids dresses and eventually much more. My daughter decided she was not happy with the original dress she had chosen and we ended up getting the dress of her dreams at Carrie Karibo. The service here is top notch and very personal and professional. I ended up getting my MOB dress here as well...the week before the wedding. Carrie herself went out of her way to help my find the perfect dress and get it to me just in time for the wedding. The men also got the tuxes thru this shop. I can not say enough good things about Carrie and her bridal shop except that when my next daughter gets married you can bet we will be returning to Carrie Karibo!

I know this is said over and over but If you are looking for modern bridesmaid dresses that can actually be worn again, don't even waste your time going anywhere else than Carrie Karibo Boutique. Hands down, this is the best bridal store in Cincinnati!!! Their knowledge and service on all levels was above and beyond what was expected, whether it was for my gown, my bridesmaids or my mother! Finding your wedding dress can be very stressful for some people, I am no exception. I went to a couple of dress shops and my anxiety was even more elevated. I was about on a meltdown before I fortunately went to Carrie Karibo Boutique where I felt right at home. The staff was friendly and patient. They didn’t rush me and listened to what I wanted. I loved my experience at Carrie Karibo Boutique. The boutique is cute and the dresses are beautiful. Being a plus size bride, I was nervous about finding a dress that would be flattering on my shape. I was not looking forward to trying to find bridesmaids dresses for my wedding. Over the holidays both of my cousins told me not to worry, just go to Carrie Karibo Boutique and it will easy and enjoyable. So, I took their advice and am so glad I did. The whole thing was so much fun. The only hard part was picking from the all of the choices they had to offer. I usually don’t take the time to write these reviews, however I felt compelled to in this case. Last Sunday, I went to Reading Bridal district to shop for my bridesmaids dresses. I stopped at the 3 stores that were open. The first store we went into we were simply ignored. The second store we went into we were seriously ignored. Five employees walked by and did not even acknowledge us. Thankfully the 3rd store was Carrie Karibo Boutique. We walked into the store and even though they had customers, they stopped and asked how they could help me. Needless to say, I told them what I was looking for and I found the perfect “Twist” dress for my bridesmaids. This store turn what was going to be an awful experience to a memorial one. I can’t thank them enough!

Oh where to begin….I had the best experience shopping for my bridesmaids dresses. From the moment I walked into the store, I felt a sense of calm mixed with the excitement of all the possibilities that were offered. Carrie was wonderful to work with. She took the time to understand my style and taste and reflected that into the different body types of all of my maids. All of my girls told me that the fabrics of the dresses felt so fabulous to wear. You can tell they are well made dresses and that they will not fall apart halfway through the reception that you get from some of the online stores (true story). She was also very helpful into giving us ideas for different ways we could wear our sashes and jewelry. In short, she created a beautiful ensemble for my wedding party. It was exactly what I envisioned for my Christmas wedding. I will tell any bride-to-be that this store is a must!!

The boutique not only has a wonderful collection of dresses & accessories, but the staff is full of creative ideas that really made the look of my wedding one of a kind. I was so lucky to have Carrie and her team help me design the vision of my day and I'm proud of how well we were able to design a bridal party with the help of CKB all before Pinterest ever even existed! Carrie Karibo Boutique made my venture of getting a wedding dress wonderful. I am so happy that I purchased from them. They were very friendly, and took the time with me that I needed to make decisions. They were very accommodating at staying within my price range and not trying to push me towards something more expensive. On each visit, they made the whole experience really carefree, and fun. Sherry, the bridal consultant on my first visit, was actually the one who found my dress. After I explained what I was looking for, she told me that she had a dress she thought I might like. So after trying on all of the ones I picked out, the very last one was hers, and sure enough, it was perfect!
My gown was not at all what I had envisioned, but it was the perfect one for me. It was beautiful! I got SO many compliments on it. I had everyone coming up to me on my wedding day telling me that it was the most stunning wedding dress that they had ever seen!
I felt absolutely beautiful on my wedding day, and when I look back at pictures, my dress still takes my breath away. I tell people all the time how glad I am that I made the trip to Carrie Karibo. They went above and beyond in so many ways! I felt well cared for by the entire team.

I had gone to several bridal stores in Cincinnati, Dayton and Lexington to find my dress. In most of the stores, I felt like another customer walking through the door were they were just trying to sell me the most expensive dress (most of them with a snobby demeanor). This was certainly not the case at Carrie Karibo Boutique. They ask me my budget and only showed me dresses that I could afford. Their selection is very classy and unique than most stores that I visited. They did not have boring and cheap dresses you see almost everywhere else. The staff was so much fun and made it the perfect wedding dress shopping experience for me. I can’t thank them enough!!!

From start to finish my experience at Carrie Karibo Boutique last weekend was wonderful. The ladies made the whole process easy and enjoyable. My mom and I both bought our dresses there. I would recommend the Boutique to anyone looking for a wedding dress.

I searched and searched for bridesmaid dresses and when I walked into Carrie Karibo I knew I had found the place for my bridesmaid dresses. I love the clean and classic styles of the vendors she sells. Every one of the sales people was generous with their time and suggestions. They were also very patient with my inability to make a decision on a designer/dress and color. Carrie personally worked with me and my bridesmaids on more than one occasion to get the look I was envisioning. I wish I had stopped here when I was looking for more own dress.

What a great bridal shop! I wasn't really looking forward to shopping for a wedding dress, and Carrie Karibo blew my expectations out of the water. They gladly ordered in a dress I wanted to try on, and were so encouraging and fun during the entire process.
My dress came in ahead of schedule, and when they called to let me know, it was clear they were just as excited to tell their customer as *I* was to get the call. My dress was perfect, and they offered great suggestions on how to style it, etc.
I also ordered my bridesmaids dresses through Carrie Karibo, and they were so helpful - I felt that I ordered the dresses a bit late (due to indecision on my part!) and they were incredibly helpful in explaining the timelines for me, and returning my calls in a timely manner to ensure the dresses got ordered. I had a bit of bridal insanity going on and they were incredibly calming and encouraging to me.
Thanks a MILLION for helping me find my dress and being such a supportive vendor. I can't recommend you enough!

Gorgeous gowns and very comfortable setting. Carrie was great and I really appreciated her fantastic customer service. She listened to what I liked and would pick the dresses based on my feedback and not on the price tag. All of the dresses were beautiful and I had a wonderful experience

Carrie Karibo Boutique is without a doubt the best bridal store in Cincinnati! The store is charming and the Owner Carrie is amazing. Carrie helped me find the perfect dress within my budget. If you are looking for personal attention and a "glamorous" bridal experience, I highly recommend Carrie Karibo Boutique.

Best boutique in the Bridal district
Highly recommend Carrie Karibo! Wonderful experience with the boutique, the dress selection, the consultant and the overall process! Wonderful dresses and overall gorgeous boutique. The consultant, Courtney, was quickly able to understand the level of support my mom and I needed and matched her energy to mine. She even was conscious of my budget, letting me know if a dress I picked up was over budget, so I didn't try it on and fall in love with something over budget. She was incredibly helpful with picking out additional dresses that fit my style/budget once she started to see what I felt about certain gowns, and just so helpful overall. They also had a low pressure sales tactic, understanding a wedding dress is a huge purchase. They didn't give me any hassle about wanting to walk away and think on the decision - This ultimately made me more confident in my purchase since I just couldn't get that dress out of my head!

Went today with my mom for my mother-of-groom dress. I am so impressed with your store and salespeople; I can't say enough about my experience there today. So many lovely choices/options! I sure can't say that about many shops I've visited thus far! So, thanks to Julie, who worked with us today, I found my dress! I'm excited, relieved, pleased, and so happy!! So glad I found Carrie Karibo on-line.

Carrie was fantastic to work with. I ordered 8 Lynn Lugo bridesmaids dresses and Carrie reviewed all of the orders to ensure each bridesmaid would receive a dress that fit them as perfectly as possible. Due to her attention, my bridesmaids required only minor alterations and some of the bridesmaids did not need alterations at all.

I walked in and the staff told me only one room of dresses would fit my budget. I thought, this will be quick! But, the second dress I tried on was exactly what I was looking for. It was such a quiet and calming experience to try on my dress and different accessories. After the sale, through delivery, etc. staff was great, making me feel like my special purchase was indeed special!

Not size inclusive at all.
To have a large bridal party dress section for try ons and NOT be size inclusive just completely killed our experience. Two out of three of the bridesmaids with me couldn’t find a single dress in their size, and we didn’t find a single dress over the size of 16 to try on and there was only one of them in the entire section of dresses (my petite sister was measured at a 10.... meaning 16 isn’t very accommodating to most real sized women). Imagine walking into a bridal shop and not finding a single one out of racks and racks of dresses that you can try on to give a realistic idea of how a dress will fit. We went to three stores and this was the only store we experienced this at. I didn’t think I had to call ahead and make sure they were size inclusive for my bridesmaids, when they are realistic, everyday sizes. It broke my heart for the women I care so much about to experience this, and had I known, we wouldn’t have gone. I hope they see this and try harder to include more sizes in their try on section.
The photo shows my petite sister, size 10, who was the only one who could find a dress to accommodate her size. To only have 3 sizes up from hers for women to try on seems damaging and in inclusive to women with varying body types.
There were Amazing dresses, we probably would have purchased if we could have actually seen how they looked on the girls, but to pay $300 for a dress you can’t try on seems silly so we went elsewhere.

Alterations nightmare
I found a dress I absolutely loved at Carrie Karibo. It had the lace I wanted and a beautiful V-shaped back that was exactly what I was looking for. I bought the dress “off the rack” as I was informed it was no longer able to be ordered. This being the case, I would need it taken in as it was a bit too big. The first picture included shows the dress in its unaltered state.
The shop really made it seem like I had to use their in-house seamstress, and without knowing any better, I did. I was assured with her twenty years of experience that I was “in good hands.”
Throughout my appointments with the seamstress I brought up multiple concerns including how the dress was to be taken in, and her solution was to cut out a side panel which completely changed the shape of the back I loved. I also made it clear that I wanted a traditional bustle and was told that with this type of lace it was not possible. I was continuously told “this is how it has to be done.” At no point in time did I ever feel like I was being heard.
Less than a month before my wedding I went for my final appointment. The second and third pictures here show the horrendous bustle and how the delicate design of the back of the dress was now U-shaped and pulled in such a way that it looked like I was busting out of it. For context I had continuously lost weight from the first fitting. I felt like the dress I originally loved was ruined. But again “this is how it had to be done.” Needless to say I was devastated.
Luckily, I was able to find another seamstress who agreed to take a look at it last minute. When consulting with her, she said it seemed like a lot of shortcuts were taken and things really weren’t being done in the proper way. This new seamstress quickly ordered material to replace the removed side panels and the dress was taken in properly. The delicate design and shape of the back of the dress was restored! She even re-did the bustle to a more traditional design, exactly like I had originally wanted. The last picture shows the restored dress.
Long story short: explore your options and don’t feel pressured into using their in-house seamstress. I am extremely disappointed with the entire whole experience. I wasted over $600 in alterations here, and feel ripped off having had to go get everything redone elsewhere to fix my dress.

Sherry was very rude. Awful experience.
My consultant was Sherry and I thought she was very uninviting. From the moment we walked in it felt like we were a bother even though I had an appointment. She made a few comments we thought were very rude as well. My mom and one of my bridesmaids were looking at some of the dresses in the showroom and she was very rude towards them. I was a bride looking forward to this experience and was met with rude comments and passive aggression. We were ready to walk out at this point but we decided to stick through it because we wanted to make the best of the experience. The platform that I stood on to try one of the dresses was not stable and I tripped 3 times, Sherry didn’t even ask if I was okay. I told her what I was thinking I wanted in terms of a wedding dress and she told me to pick my own dress, I didn’t even know what to look for. I was choosing my own dresses, and I noticed that I was the ONLY bride being forced to do that. Everyone else’s consultant was choosing dresses for their bride. She lacked the typical encouragement and enthusiasm that you would expect from a bridal consultant. I felt like I was shortened the true bridal dress shopping experience. The message was LOUD AND CLEAR from Sherry at Carrie Karibo…”we do not want your kind shopping here.” It’s really unfortunate that we had to go through this and I would not recommend coming to this bridal shop.

Pushy and Assertive
The woman we worked with was so extremely pushy and assertive that I couldn't possibly say yes to a dress at Carrie Karibo which is extremely unfortunate because we bought 6 bridesmaid dresses there for my sister's wedding and had a wonderful experience (10 years ago).
The woman we worked with had "sales lady" written all over her right from the start. She called me the wrong name twice, she continued to pick strapless dresses when I told her I wasn't interested in that style because it made me feel like my shoulders were too broad. She proceeded to tell me why I shouldn't feel that way, but you aren't going to change MY image of myself in that style. You would have thought she was picking out HER wedding dress. I told her I wanted something with sleeve and she said "No, it's constrictive and you can't hug anyone over 5ft tall."
Also, I wanted the women I brought with me to be a part of the experience, but they were quickly told "Don't touch the dresses" and were escorted into the dressing room where they sat the entire time. They were not able to browse the store with me. We thought about ordering a jacket that would go over one of the dresses I almost said yes to, and the woman we worked with said it would be beaded with sequins but then Carrie came in and said "No, it would only be sequins." It was discouraging to see they weren't on the same page on top of the terrible experience we were already having. I honestly thought I might say yes to the last dress, but I just couldn't let that lady be a part of my experience because I would have regretted it the minute I walked out the door.
Wanted to provide this feedback because I don't know if she was just having an off day or if this is how she works with most guests, but I would dial it back and keep your opinions to yourself unless a bride specifically asks if they'll be able to hug people over 5ft tall in sleeves.

TERRIBLE Customer Service
TERRIBLE customer service. A total of three dresses were purchased from Carrie’s for my November wedding: Mother of the Bride, Bridesmaid, and Maid of Honor. These designer dresses totaled over $1000 dollars. My maid of honor’s Monique Lhuillier’s dress was flawed (the bust darts were too pointed and poked out way too far out to the point where store workers took pictures to show the designer in NY (giggling as they took these pictures)). My sister and I visited the store to seek help/get the dress fixed and we were treated like we were in the wrong. The workers at Carrie’s left us feeling anxious and unimportant. After going back and forth with the floor workers they actually stated “pointed, noticeable nipples are currently in right now,” and when we were unhappy with this comment they offered to switch the brand new dress for the sample one (which has been tried on by an unknown number of people and stretched out... the store workers insisted this was just like going to Nordstrom and buying a dress. IT IS NOT. The dress is for my MAID OF HONOR FOR MY WEDDING and not just for some random person.). Still not satisfied I asked to speak to the owner, Carrie, and was informed multiple times she was with a bride taking measurements and unable to speak to us about our problem. We left the store after thirty minutes extremely upset. We were told by Carrie to get the dress altered by someone they use BUT they would not guarantee that her services would fix the problem with the dress sold by their store. This store added unneeded stress to the bride/maid of honor and clearly customer service ceases to exist here after you spend your money.
On a brighter note we were comforted by another bridal salon who took the time to listen and offer possible solutions. This salon treated us like actual people instead of just brushing us off.
