Beautiful Hair and Makeup: stress free with Caroline Cartier

My wedding party consisted of mainly Germans. Caroline and her Crew were not annoyed at all with us talking mostly in German, even when we pointed at the person in the chair getting her hair or makeup done. They remained friendly, calm and professional throughout the appointment.

What I appreciated the most was when one person of my bridal party did not like the outcome of her styling, and Caroline calmly tried to figure out what the person wanted and then redoing her hair, without getting irritated or annoyed.

All of us loved our hair styling, and it lasted throughout the entire day and even survived dancing and walking around in the humid NC air.

Best hair & makeup team!

Caroline and Christine created beautiful hair and makeup looks for me (bride), our moms, and our aunts. They made getting ready feel easy and relaxing with lovely conversations. They actively listened and were very attentive to everyone's visions, needs, and various skin tones and hair textures. I don't normally wear makeup, and I absolutely love how the hair and makeup showed up in pictures (exactly the colors and tones that I'd wanted!). I cannot recommend them enough!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Caroline and Christine! They were an absolute dream to work with. They took the time to understand my vision, my concerns, and contributed to a very calm but fun vibe on my wedding day — and made me look and feel even better than I imagined.

On the morning of the wedding, they were very organized and flexible when determining who to do first, all while making sure that I wouldn't feel too rushed and had time to make edits to hair and makeup if needed. My bridesmaids, mom, and I all loved our looks. From my friends who are very into makeup to my sister who never wears makeup — everyone was happy, which made my special day even sweeter. My makeup stayed fresh and glowing all night, and they definitely know what they are doing to ensure it looks as great in photos as it does in person. My hair did not move the entire day, and the spot in my hair that Caroline made for my veil worked beautifully. Christine was a HUGE help with getting into my corset dress, which shows how they go above and beyond to help out!

What really stood out was how attentive and professional they were — they arrived on time, kept everything running smoothly, and made the entire getting-ready process fun and stress-free. I felt like the most beautiful version of myself, and I have Caroline and Christine to thank for that. I would highly recommend doing a bridal trial, as this helped me decide what I did not like and ensured that those kinks were worked out before the wedding day.

Amazing work!

Caroline and her team of stylists were great. They took amazing care of me from the trial, all the way through our wedding day! The energy that was brought was great and made everyone feel super comfortable and cared for. I would recommend Caroline and her crew in a heart beat!

Nothing short of amazing

Caroline and Hanna did an amazing job on myself and mother in law yesterday. My hair and makeup lasted all night and they were a pleasure to work with. If you hire this team, they will not disappoint.

We truly cannot say enough positive things about these girls. They are so professional and so talented. I was super leery about my ‘look’ but they NAILED it even with my lack of description or pictures. They are also incredibly flexible and wiling to travel. Book them. You will NOT be disappointed.

Hair Goddess!!

Caroline is an absolutely incredible hair stylist! After other plans fell through about a month prior to our wedding I was so glad to find someone to do my hair! I had a vision for my big day and only showed her a few pictures but she totally nailed what I wanted. She did my hair so fast I don’t even know how it was possible for her to do it so perfectly but so quickly! My hair stayed in place all day long and even at 1 am was still looking gorgeous. She was so professional and kind and I am so thankful we had her as a vendor!

These ladies were incredible to say the least. Not only did they do a great job with everyone's hair and makeup, but they made geting ready so much fun. They were so easy to work with and nailed the look I was going for! I could not have asked for a better group of girls to help us make our day perfect!

Careaux Cartier was the best choice for hair and makeup for my wedding day! I was planning the wedding from afar and she was so helpful in getting my trial done when I did have time in Winston-Salem. She made sure that I looked exactly how I wanted to my big day and the getting ready process was truly so special because I could hang out with my bridal party while we were all getting ready without being stressed. Caroline and her team did a great job in getting me, my five bridesmaids, my mother and the mother of the groom ready and looking fabulous, plus my hair and makeup stayed beautiful the whole day - through an outdoor ceremony and a night of full on dancing! Caroline was a great choice for me on my wedding day. She is super talented and very professional. She also worked so FAST which was good for reducing my stress level.

CAROLINE IS THE BEST! I had a very small wedding and was having trouble finding a salon or HMU team who would accommodate a small bridal party on location, Caroline was the answer to my prayers! Having her be able to travel to my location for the trial and big day was such a huge relief. She is very flexible and very professional. Caroline is so sweet, so personal and so easy to work with. She is a fantastic hair and makeup artist and will make you look fabulous for your big day. I truly felt cared for by Caroline on my big day, my hair and makeup was flawless and my sister and mother looked gorgeous. I would recommend Caroline hands down to anyone who wants a laid back, chill, talented and top notch hair and makeup artist. She will make you look and feel so beautiful on your big day :)

Caroline and her assistant were beyond amazing! From the hair and makeup trial to the actual wedding, they were wonderful. My bridesmaids said the same thing. We all looked great, and having someone that travels to your venue is such a blessing. I would recommend her to anyone looking!

Caroline came through for me when another makeup artist/hair stylist cancelled on me 2 weeks prior to my wedding. She was very flexible and was able to get my trial scheduled right away which gave me some peace of mind. Both hair and makeup looked great and lasted all evening! It must have been fate. Also, Caroline is extremely laid back and really helped calm me prior to the wedding. Her calmness definitely rubbed off on me when I was having to deal with multiple vendors and bridesmaids all at once while being worked on. I would definitely recommend Caroline!

Careaux was AMAZING in every aspect of my big day. She came to me for my trial run which was a huge help as we all know there are a million things to think of when planning a wedding. All of my girls looked like a million bucks and she fixed my flower girls hair last minute right before the ceremony. I cannot say enough good thinks about Careaux. I felt like the most beautiful girl in the world thanks to her!

I had very good quality and professional service. My wedding day ended up being super windy and I was a little worried about how my hair would be after taking pictures for 2 hours outside, but my hair stayed in place the whole time and so did my makeup. I am very impressed with Caroline and will recommend her to all of my friends getting married.

Working with Caroline was amazing!! She was super professional via email and planning, and incredibly professional, sweet, and calm on the morning of. I had a few updo pictures for inspiration but I really let her come up with something bohemian with braids and I LOVED it. I felt like a princess. Caroline provided hair and makeup services for me and two ladies in my bridal party. She did absolutely amazing. She listened to what we wanted and provided us with hair and makeup that lasted a long time. My hair and makeup lasted all day even with all the humidity and BOY WAS IT HUMID! I would recommend her 110%, I can only hope she is still providing services when my children are ready to get married!!

Caroline was incredible! Very willing to listen to the needs of my bridesmaids and I, and attentive to any concerns we had about our skin. Her prices are extremely reasonable and I was very impressed of the quality of her products and how well they lasted throughout the night! Caroline was absolutely amazing! She was patient and very easy going. When we ran into an issue with my hair during my trial she was quick to remedy the situation. The day of she was there before I was to setup and wait for me. When I couldn't hold back my tears while she was applying the makeup she fixed it with no complaints. My makeup lasted the whole day, through sweating and tears once complete [I chose airbrush]. Not only that but her pricing is absolutely amazing compared to anyone else around. Stop paying for a name elsewhere and pay for quality! Everyone at the wedding kept telling me how beautiful I was and how great my makeup looked. And although my venue had issues with receptacles Caroline never let it get in the way. She is extremely laid back and does everything she can to make the bride happy! Absolutely loved her and recommend her for anyone needing on site services.

Caroline (and team) traveled to our venue where they did three bridesmaids, two mothers, and my makeup. They were so joyful to work with and I'm glad that they were a part of our "get ready" wedding festivities. We had a destination wedding so we didn't get a chance to do a trial prior to the actual wedding. Even so, makeup and hair was amazing for not only me, but the whole wedding party. We loved having them on-site and utilizing their services for our BIG day!!

I am so, so, so thrilled that I went with Caroline to do my hair and makeup on my wedding day. She was such a joy to work with and I can't recommend her enough! I rarely wear more makeup than just mascara and chapstick, and I was really nervous that I wouldn't look or feel like myself on my wedding day. I didn't need to worry. Caroline really listened to me when I explained my normal makeup routine, and made really helpful suggestions of ways we could do my makeup and still have me feel like myself. The trial went great, and then on the day of the wedding, when I changed my mind about how I wanted my hair done, and changed a few things about the makeup, Caroline was so easy going about it! She just kept telling me that she wanted me to be happy with the final product. And I was! Everyone told me how beautiful and natural I looked. We just got wedding photos back, and I feel like Caroline was able to bring out the best in me and at the same time was able to keep me looking like myself. Thank you for everything!

Hair and makeup for my wedding was beautiful and reasonably priced! I appreciated that people could pay individually with credit cards even though we were in a hotel room--thanks for making me feel beautiful on my wedding day!

Caroline was wonderful to work with. She did my hair and makeup for my Bridal Portraits and Wedding Day. She went above and beyond to help make me and my bridesmaids feel beautiful! She stayed with me even after my ceremony and helped make sure everything looked great during all the pictures. Caroline is very sweet and incredibly easy to work with. I am so glad I picked her for my special day!

Caroline is very experienced at what she does. She is able to give great advice based on your needs with hair and make up. She was able to take my ideas and make them work for my hair type and skin. Caroline worked wonders for my June 18th wedding. She managed to do hair and airbrush makeup for me (the bride), 4 bridesmaids, and a flower girl; we all had completely different makeup and hairstyle requests and she pulled it off wonderfully. My 2 maids of honor are both VERY busy moms and one of my bridesmaids works 70+ hours a week in a restauarant, and they all LOVED being pampered, and getting airbrush makeup done (none of us had ever had it). We got ready in our hotel room, crammed full of gabbing girls, guests running in and out, and 2 rambunctious babies, and none of it even phased Caroline. I'm beyond impressed that she gave every girl her own unique style but how flawlessly it all went together! As for my hair and makeup, even the day of, I was changing my mind on a handful of things and Caroline didn't miss a beat; She adjusted and kept rolling. I got endless compliments on my hair and makeup, and the mascara and lashes held up to the (buckets and buckets of) tears shed that day. I cannot say enough good things about Caroline; her skills are amazing, her pricing is fair and affordable, and she's beyond accomodating. Snatch her up while you have the chance!

Caroline was EXCELLENT in every way! She did full hair and makeup for two brides, and I can't tell you how many compliments we received based on her work. Her pricing was very reasonable, she's incredibly personable, and her work is amazing. I would book her again in a heartbeat!

Careaux is not only a wonderful beautician but a wonderful, down to earth person. She was great about communication from the start - always willing to quickly answer questions and provide feedback. At the beginning I didn't know what I wanted for wedding hair - just a half up half down braided style. At the trial, Careaux proved she has magic powers - my usual frizzy hair was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted! Nothing but great things to say about this whole experience. :)

Caroline is great! I only met with one other makeup artist and Caroline was, hands down, the better choice. She is very professional but also instantly feels like your best friend. I was more than thrilled with how everything turned out for my wedding day and my couldn't have been happier! I would absolutely use Careaux Cartier again and highly recommend her. You will not be disappointed!

Caroline was able to commit to a rather last minute request to do hair and makeup at the hotel where I was getting married due to a rather tight schedule, and I couldn't have been more pleased. I didn't want to have to travel to a salon on my wedding day, especially on a Saturday. We were able to schedule a trial makeup and hair and she knocked it out of the ballpark, so I was quite confident that the day of hair and makeup would be perfect, and of course added my two attendants. She was on time, brought all the right equipment, never got flustered when we asked for additional services, and my hair and makeup held up through the entire reception, with plenty of dancing! Now I can't wait for the photos to come back!

Caroline did a photo shoot for me and she was very professional and did such a wonderful job with my hair and make up. And she was absolutely amazing when it came to dealing with my scheduling needs, and got everything that I needed in a timely manner. Caroline did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for my wedding! She is super sweet and can work under a time constraint very efficiently and is dog friendly (I have 3 dogs haha)! I went with a vintage Hollywood theme and I wanted to look pretty glamorous but I wanted to look like me and Caroline nailed it. Loved everyone who came to help do my bridal party's hair and makeup. Mine were both wonderful and the makeup lasted all night, even through lots of tears. I had a great time getting ready with these girls and recommend them to anyone who wants a fun and professional makeup and hair experience.

Caroline is super friendly and down to earth while offering top quality services for a reasonable price. I loved working with Caroline. For the quality of work, the price is fantastic. She was so helpful and knew exactly what I wanted. My hair and makeup stayed on even through all of the humidity (I had an outdoor wedding in June). I was very glad I picked Careaux Cartier for my big day.

Her work is flawless! We had a trial run and I didn't care for the blush and lip color we tried, so I described what I was picturing in my head, and sure enough, the day of, blush and lipstick she brought were perfect! We had a great time hanging out and getting ready, and my bridemaids and flower girls looked amazing too! Can't say enough good things!

A little pricy but worth it

While I do believe hair and makeup was a little pricier than I would have liked overall I do believe it was worth it. Both Caroline and Ashlyn listened to what I wanted at the trial run and were able to produce wonderful work. The hair and makeup for the wedding itself was even better. We started early and were able to keep on track with time to allow to do touch ups if needed. This was the first time my mother (60s) had her hair and makeup done professionally and absolutely loved the result. On top of their work, Caroline remembered our conversation from over a month before and even wore something the day of that made her think of me. It was a nice little touch!

Careaux and her team were so great to work with. She was accommodating of my crazy work schedule for my hair/make-up trial. She will come to you and make your life so easy. I showed her pictures of what I wanted for my hair and she was able to take those, combine them with my personality and dress and created a hairstyle that was absolutely perfect for my wedding. Caroline was amazing! She was flexible and amenable to my circumstances, which were a little unusual. My husband and I planned our wedding long-distance and in a very short period of time. I loved that Caroline met me at my hotel suite on the morning of my wedding, and she allowed enough time to get work done without rushing. She was on time, professional, and kind. Her fees are perfectly reasonable as well, which is obviously a factor for many people.

I planned my wedding in only a few weeks, I had no idea about how to achieve the look I’d always envisioned for myself, and Caroline didn’t even blink an eye. On a phone call, she suggested some quick and easy clip-in extensions, which were perfect for me. They were very comfortable to wear, and my hair looked beautiful! I also showed her some photos of makeup looks I liked, but had no idea how to describe. Basically, she said that her goal is to enhance her clients’ best features to present the best version of themselves without going overboard, which is just what I wanted. Everything was lovely, and I felt amazing ALL DAY even in the humidity and heat! I absolutely recommend her services!

Caroline did my hair and makeup for my wedding as well as the hair for my 6 bridesmaids. She did an AMAZING job! And the best part is she comes to you! Scheduling the trial was super easy and she had some great suggestions on how to make the style work. The day of she showed up and got right to work! Everyone was happy with the way their hair looked and it stayed in place all day, even during the reception. Overall great price for what you get!

Caroline did a great job on my hair and makeup for my wedding day and overall I felt beautiful and she made me feel important. However, she had another wedding on the same day as mine in a location far away from where I was. This made my appointment feel really rushed with no time for touch ups and consultation on the work. I believe once Caroline is able to get more assistants that she can trust, this matter will dissolve. Overall I was really pleased with the service, my hair and makeup turned out beautifully and it showed up great in pictures!

Caroline was great. She seemed to really understand my "vision" for what I wanted to look like on my wedding day. Even when I wasn't happy with my first trial, she was willing to do another trial to make sure I was happy with what I wanted and she understood what I wanted as well. The airbrush was really great and didn't feel heavy or thick on my face. However, both herself and her assistant were late showing up to our venue (an hour late) and we were not able to get them on the phone. Her assistant showed up first (whom I had never met before). When I spoke to her she was doing her best to relieve some of my stress at that moment. She started on one of my matrons of honor first, and when she was done it was clear that there had been a lack of communication between Caroline and that assistant on what I wanted my bridesmaids to look like that day. To say that there needed to be some improvement is an understatement. Once Caroline got there I felt much better because I was able to speak with her correctly. The makeup on my matron of honor got fixed, and every bridesmaid after her that the assistant did was much better. It turned out that the timing was messed up because of Caroline's office manager communicated the wrong time.
Caroline was really great. She did a wonderful job on my makeup and my mothers. It was exactly what I wanted. However, communication is key. If I were to do it again I would have made sure that I communicated more with what I wanted for my bridesmaids, and I would have made sure that the assistant understood that as well on the day of.
Caroline was very responsive on rectifying the situation, as well as giving the girls and myself a discount. My experience with Caroline was wonderful, it just wasn't wonderful with the rest of her staff.

Unfortunate wedding day hair experience

Unfortunately I did not have a positive experience with this business on my wedding day. Caroline showed up about 15 minutes late the morning of, which normally wouldn’t be a huge deal but she didn’t give a heads up she would be late. We tried calling the number in her email signature multiple times and it was the wrong number, which further added to the anxiety. Once she showed up, she did get to work right away and overall everyone’s hair looked pretty good. She was supposed to have an assistant come too and they were at least a hour late. They ended up getting everyone’s hair done on time but nobody asked if I needed help placing my veil before they left, and when someone else placed it for me a bunch of the Bobby pins moved which basically ruined the hair style they did for me. It was half up half down and shortly after the ceremony I took it down and just wore loose curls.
