Shirley Anne was outstanding. She was helpful and flexible through our planning process from the moment we initially contacted her through the day of the wedding. She allowed us to be as creative as we wanted with the actual ceremony, adding her personal flare to make it perfect. The day of the ceremony she was in constant contact making sure we were ready, the weather was cooperating, and helping setup alternatives in case of poor weather. She really was the perfect officiant for my husband and I. She is fun and sweet and made it feel as if she had known us for years!

Reverend Shirley was awesome! She was recommended by a friend of ours and we couldn't have been happier with the response from Shirley, but her willing to help find us flowers and photographer! We might have to get married again! LOL

Shirley provided my husband and myself with one of the most magical experiences of our lives. Here it is nearly five months later and we're still absolutely taken by our wedding. My bouquet wax EXACTLY what I wanted and so much more. The cake was gorgeous, and tasted unbelievable. And the service, there just aren't words. Thank you so much Shirley! We wouldn't change a thing!

Rev. Shirley was amazing to work with! We only talked briefly over email, phone calls, and the day before but let me tell you - it felt like she knew us for years! She was attentive and caring which made our ceremony that much better! I would recommend no one else to officiate a wedding ceremony but her! She is that good!

Rev. Shirley Anne was such a nice person and such a wonderful addition to our wedding. All of guests commented on her great job as the officiant and her beautiful service she performed. I have already recommended her to a good friend for their wedding and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for the perfect person to perform theirs. Rev. Shirley Anne could not have been a better officiant for our beach wedding. We live in Virginia, so we were nervous about finding an officiant in North Carolina. But Shirley made everything so easy, meeting with us a few months before the wedding to get a feel for what we wanted and following up with suggestions up until the big day. She was professional yet fun the entire time. Everyone at the wedding made a point to tell us how great she was, so we were thrilled our guests enjoyed her services as much as we did. Highly recommended!

Rev. Shirley Anne was amazing!! She was flexible and always available. I loved her easy spirit and how personable she is as an officiant, it really shows how much she loves bringing couples together forever. I had an out of town wedding, so planning was a little different. Having to do everything from the internet. But once I called Rev. Shirley Anne I knew it was a perfect match to my dream Beach wedding. I was so glad that she was able to come to our Corolla beach rental home and be the best officiant ever!! Would recommend Rev. Shirley Anne to everyone.

Reverend Shirley Anne exceeded my expectations as an officiant. I found her more sincere and spiritual in delivery of the wedding service than I have seen many traditionally ordained ministers provide. My husband and I are so grateful that she played that role.

Our wedding was a destination wedding, so we did not have the ability to meet with all our vendors prior to the wedding. Shirley Anne's website was very helpful for getting an idea of how she performs ceremonies, because you can watch her videos and pull from her library of ideas. She was very helpful over email and was willing to work with our ceremony "vision". Our ceremony was very custom and involved a lot of different traditions pieced together, but Shirley Anne didn't bat an eye and pulled off a lovely beach ceremony. I had no regrets and would pick her again.

Rev Shirley was very responsive and helpful. I planned my event remotely and she provided me many recommendations even though I did not use her for planning services. The ceremony she gave us was beautiful and just what we wanted.

We chose Rev Shirley Anne as our officiant for many reasons. First, her spark and love for life was evident immediately upon our first meeting. She has such a bright spirit and light about her--definitely a quality that I appreciate! Secondly, she is very open minded and willing to create a ceremony that is truly unique to each couple. She helped us narrow down the narrative for our ceremony, and allowed us to add our own personal messages throughout. She is also very affordable! I found that many of the officiants that I contacted on the Outer Banks were expensive and charged extra to come out for a rehearsal...really!? Not Rev. Shirley. She understood the importance of doing a walk through and getting everyone on the same page for the ceremony. This really put my mind at ease.

All of my communications with Rev Shirley were answered in a timely and professional manner. She sent us immediate confirmation when payments were received, which was also a nice touch. When our wedding day arrived, she was on time, prepared, sweet, and had a very calming presence about her. She did an outstanding job at the ceremony. She spoke in such a lovely way that we couldn't help but smile the entire time. She was all smiles the whole time, too!

Overall, we were so pleased with Rev Shirley, and would recommend her to anyone! THANK YOU REV. SHIRLEY!!!!

When we eloped in the outer banks we had not idea what we were getting. Rev. Shirley was refered to us by our wedding planner. Our wedding was truely a moment we will never remember. Rev Shirley did an amazing job and we couldnt have asked for a better person to conduct our wedding. Thank you Rev. Shirley.

My now husband and I have been together over 13 years; we waited over 10 years for our special day. I couldn’t have asked for anything more, Rev Shirley Anne was absolutely amazing. She was very welcoming and accommodating – open for anything.
This was also our first family trip which made the event even more special. Rev Shirley Anne provided a service that was not only touching but included the kids as well. When we look at the pictures of the kids saying their vows; it brings tears to our eyes.
I normally don’t take the time to give reviews, but I couldn’t help myself. I am very pleased with my day and Rev Shirley Anne and know you will be as well.

Our " Celebration of Love" could not have been any better. Rev. Shirley Anne was wonderful ,her words were beautiful the flowers she did were perfect. She guided us through all of the steps and made us feel at ease on our Big Day. I would recommend Rev. Shirley Anne to anymore thinking about getting married on The Outer Banks.

Rev Shirley Anne was a great person and so glad that our lives crossed. She provided us with examples of vows that we could use to make our day special. She had a great sense of humor which made us feel relaxed and the butterflies quickly disappear. During the ceremony Rev Shirley Anne made us feel like we were the only two people on earth!! Thank you very much for conducting our intimate ceremony on May 31. We truly enjoyed the entire experience, and I truly enjoyed not coordinating it! You did a fantastic job, and I will recommend you to ANYONE I meet. Our flowers were wonderful and our cake was DIVINE. Our photographer was great! You did a perfect job, even though I gave you very little direction! I was more than pleasantly surprised. At our “after party”, many of the guests mentioned how wonderful of a job you did. Everyone was impressed by your work that day, especially me and my new husband! Again, thank you very much.

Rev Shirley Ann was wonderful. She was responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. She went through a rehearsal even for our small intimate wedding. She even went so far to coordinate with the colors or our wedding to what she wore that day. As another reviewer posted she looked wonderful in our pictures. I planned our wedding remotely so to have the confidence in Rev Shirley to take care of all our details was such a relief! Thanks again!

We couldn't say enough about Shirley Anne! My only regret is that I didn't know she was also an event planner. She would have made a fabulous event planner! But, what she did do for us was a fun rehearsal and a touching ceremony with a lovely poem she added to give it a little something extra. She even went and bought a very pretty yellow jacket just beacuse it went with our colors so well. Bonus- she photographs beautifully! :) We couldn't have been happier with our choice.

Reverend Shriley Anne of Carolina Wedding Company was great! We met her at the Expo and she was able to squeeze us into her busy schedule! She is the sweetest lady and her laid back but professional style fit perfectly in our wedding. She guided us through the entire thing with such ease that I doubt any of our guest knew we didn’t have a clue what was going on! Reverend Shirley was taking us through it step by step as it was happening. We customized the ceremony by piecing together bits from multiple ceremony examples on her site and even found all three readings for our moms there. I definitely recommend Reverend Shirley for your event!

We felt very blessed to have Carolina Wedding Co. conduct our beach wedding, it was perfect! Rev Shirlley was like part of our family and her attention to detail was remarkable...Her daughter was our photographer and our pictures were amazing. Words cannot express how these two women organized and followed through for my family. They truely are loving, caring, and just wonderful to work with.

Rev. Shirley did a great job officiating our ceremony. She was very personable with us throughout the planning process and even stayed for a little while after the ceremony to meet and mingle with our friends and family. She was open to any of our suggestions, and offered some of her own. We especially enjoyed her Lighthouse reading and hand ceremony. My husband I were grateful to have Rev. Our wedding in the Outer Banks NC was amazing. It was last July 7th and our friends and family are still taking about it. Rev. Shirley Ann was outstanding and our photograher took the most beautiful pictures!
We treasure every moment of that day!

We decided about 2 weeks prior to coming from Maryland to Nags Head over Thanksgiving to get married. Surprisingly there were alot of details but the most important was the marriage license & officiant. I spend hours on the computer & phone until I spoke to Rev. Shirley Anne. I knew from the brief conversation she was the right person to blend our family & be a permanent part of our day. She was extremely helpful with providing me vendors in the area & working within our budget. We spoke several times before our big day. She arrived early just to review our long & involved vows & ceremony. She added some touching, insightful, & loving words of her own that was special. She was so sincere, caring, & funny. I'm so glad that she even with the Thanksgiving holiday just the day prior she took time to be with us & unite my family in a small ceremony on the dune in front of our kids & immediate family. I look forward to having her renew our vows in a few more years from now.

Carolina Wedding Co. is a one stop shop. Rev. Shirley Anne made us feel like we have known each other forever which is important to have on such a special and stressful day, especially since we were coming from MD to OBX for our wedding. Rev. Shirley Anne was the perfect addition to our wedding. She gave us the freedom to create our own ceremony and had plenty of ideas for us to draw from - be it traditional or non-traditional. She was extremely professional and sweet. She brought such a lovely energy to our ceremony. Her calming presence and cheery disposition made the process that much more enjoyable. Rev. Shirley did an amazing job while making our wedding extremely memorable. We had our wedding on the beach and all of our guests could hear the ceremony over the sounds around us, she guided us through the rehearsal with her own thoughts and ideas, and her personality was outgoing and friendly to everyone in attendance. Rev. Shirley was helpful on planning ideas with very quick responses. In addition she is a very pretty lady so she will be a great addition to any wedding picture! :)

Planning an August destination wedding in OBX from upstate NY presented many challenges and concerns. However, during a meeting with Rev. Shirley in December prior to our wedding my concerns regarding an officiant were put to rest. I felt as though Rev. Shirley was an extended family member from the beginning. She put us at ease regarding the ceremony and her professionalism and expertise were unparallelled. We did a wonderful job at our beach ceremony and I would recommend her to anyone!

Rev. Shirley Anne was great! My husband and I planned our wedding long distance and she made it so easy! We met with her the day before and went over everything. She was so comforting and made me feel like everything would run smoothly and it DID!! She was fun and energtic and spoke loud enough and clear enough for everyone to hear her over the ocean waves. My husband and I highly recommend Rev. Shirley Anne as a wedding officiant. She is a delight to work with and has a wonderful sense of humor! That being said, when it came time to do the ceremony, she treated it with the reverence and professionalism that the occasion demanded. We are so happy that she married us and we will always remember her fondly!

Rev. Shirley Anne was a pleasure to work with and she was very flexible. On our wedding day it rained like cats and dogs and we were to be married on the beach. Rev. Shirley Anne came to our beach house and performed the ceremony inside. We had to reschedule the beach ceremony and our photography session and it turned out beautiful!

Rev. Shirley Anne was a great officiant to us. We don't live in the Carolinas so everything was by e-mail or phone for our wedding. She was quick to get back to us on anything that we had asked of her. The only down fall was we didn't have get to have a rehearsal with her (which we understand because things come up that make it so you aren't able to make it) but she talked to me on the phone prior to rehearsal to kind of help me go through the steps and run our rehearsal which worked out great and the wedding turned out great. She is very professional and takes care of all the necessary paperwork for that day which took weight off my shoulders and she is very kind and outgoing. We got a lot of compliments about her. At our ceremony her voice carried, she spoke loud, NOT in a yelling manner, so that all of our guest could hear her. Which worked out really great. I would definitely recommend her. She did a great job and was so very easy to work with.

Rev. Shirley and Lauren were wonderful. They both made Kyle and I feel very comfortable on our wedding day. Rev. Shirley did an amazing job on our flowers, boutonnières, beach decor, and she also made us a beautiful cake. She used the exact flowers I wanted and I was even able to use them at my reception back in Ohio! I was very nervous about everything because it was all discussed over email or phone due to the fact that we live in Ohio but everything turned out great! Lauren was just as wonderful, she was great to work with and did an amazing job on our wedding photos. The minute I met her she made me feel comfortable and she took any suggestions we all had for photo ideas.

Rev. Shirley jumped in at the last minute to do our flowers when our original florist dropped out (she moved across the country!) Shirley was great about accomodating the budget we had already come up with for our flowers. We wanted very simple potted daisy plants for the tables and dancefloor. We ended up with daisy arrangements (that looked wonderful and above and beyond what we were looking for) for our tables and potted plants for the dance floor.

That being said, she arrived 1.5 hours late with no phone call and when she got there she told me to "relax, you're on island time!" She forgot the flower girl flowers. Sshe brought raffia ribbon seperately and told us wecould put it on the potted plants ourselves if we wanted it, but she couldn't because she was late for the ferry. Then, as I walked away, she informed me "You got a great deal for your money, girl!" I suppose to make me feel better.

The flowers were beautiful and she did a great job...I just wasn't impressed with her customer service in the end. Since we only used her for flowers, I can't attest to her other services.

We used Shirley for flowers and we were disappointed. She was very hard to communicate with and wouldn't take into consideration what I (the bride) was wanting. We agreed on certain things for centerpieces, cocktail hour and reception details and I maybe got 3 things as far as centerpieces and cocktail hour ideas go. She even admitted how some of my flowers died and even used flowers my mom bought from Food Lion. We paid her a lot of money and for her to use flowers from a grocery store was very unprofessional. We could have saved over $1,000 and done this ourselves. It was nice but not what we payed for. She (Shirley) would also just disappear at times and nobody could find her for hours and then just show up out of nowhere. She may be good for other things but NOT flowers. Save yourself the money.

We arranged for this officiant to preside over a very simple wedding ceremony in early spring 2010. The date was set and payment was made, but the officiant did not show up at the arranged time. No call was ever made to explain her absence. We were refunded that night and received a message saying, "I'm sorry I couldn't make it." Everything turned out alright for us because we were fortunate enough to find someone on site to marry us, and if it wasn't for that individual, we would not have gotten married that day.

Do not hire this officiant for your ceremony. She deserves a 0 rating because services were not rendered, but the system won't allow it.
