A true artist beautifully captured my wedding
Choosing a photographer was easy because Carolina came HIGHLY recommended by a good friend. From our very first phone call, I knew that I was in good hands, and that I was now working with an artist.
Carolina offers a complimentary “connection session” just to get to know you as a couple before your big day. This was a fantastic touch and also served as “save the date” photos. Knowing how we would be photographed ahead of time really put me at ease before the big day.
The day of the wedding! Carolina captured all the standard wedding/family photos we agreed upon. But I also told her to just “do her thing” because at this point, I had seen her work. I am so glad I did, because she really knows how to find the candid moments. The moments “in between” using natural light and shadows, creating art with different lenses and imagination.
When I saw the finished work I was floored. I now have the best of both worlds. Standard traditional photos for friends and family, but also artistic, special dare I say… editorial photos that I cherish even more. My friend has already booked her for an upcoming wedding. I am so happy with my choice, and I hope everyone I know uses Carolina. -

Full disclosure: I am a wedding photographer myself and I have never seen any photographer capture the pure essence and emotion of a wedding quite like Carolina does. That's why I knew I had to have her photograph my own wedding. Her imagery is exploding with rawness that let's you relive the happiest day of your life. Every time I look at my wedding photos, I can feel all the love and joy I felt on my wedding day, and I get so emotional. It truly was a gift to have Carolina capture my wedding day. -

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Carolina for our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision! From the very beginning, she made us feel comfortable and at ease, which was such a relief for two people who aren’t always the most comfortable in front of the camera.
Her pre-wedding connection shoot was a fantastic way for us to get to know her better and for her to understand our personalities and what we were looking for. It was a great way to break the ice and helped us feel much more relaxed on the big day.
Throughout the entire process, Carolina was not only professional but also genuinely kind and attentive. She truly went above and beyond, even giving us a few sneak peek shots early, which was such a thoughtful touch and helped us relive some of the best moments right away.
We couldn't have asked for a better photographer. She captured our day in such a beautiful, authentic way, and we are so grateful for all her hard work. If you're looking for someone who is not just talented but also warm and genuinely cares about making you feel comfortable and happy, we highly recommend Carolina!! -

Carolina is incredibly talented. She captures the genuine moments, feelings and stories from the day, while she creates art at the same time. Very few photographers do both, and she is able to blend the documentary with the artistic in such a unique and cool way. She also captures photos that feel like there’s some added magic or fantasy. The thoughtfulness and creativity she brings to her work results in really remarkable photography.
I studied photography for years and love collecting photo books and traveling to see photography exhibits at museums. I’m very nerdy for this stuff. Honestly, Carolina’s work is easily as good as the greats, and I’d happily spend hours going through galleries of her pictures. It is so cool to have photos like that of our wedding day and our family, that capture our real candid moments and the magic at the same time.
Beyond that, Carolina was wonderful to work with and was incredibly understanding and thoughtful in how she interacted with us. I so recommend working with her, whether you want a photographer to capture a major event in your life or some of the beauty and magic in your everyday moments. -

Absolutely stunning photos
Hiring Carolina was the best decision we made when planning our wedding. Her wedding package comes with a "connection session" which we upgraded to an engagement shoot in our home. Carolina immediately made us feel comfortable and we got some incredible shots of us in our home that we will cherish forever. Before we even got back our engagement pictures we decided to hire her to shoot our rehearsal dinner the night before as well the wedding. When Carolina arrived it was like we were being greeted by a friend. She was so warm, professional, and friendly with us and our friends and family. On our wedding day, I felt great knowing that she was in control of making sure we got all of the shots we wanted while also not taking up too much time with portraits. She delivered the photos to us sooner than we expected and revealed the gallery over video chat which was so fun. She even put together a slideshow of pictures that made us feel like we were reliving the day. We were completely blown away by the pictures. They are the perfect mix of candids, editorial, and classic wedding pictures. My husband and I feel like she captured our day in the absolute perfect way. Our pictures are romantic, warm, artistic, and unique. We already know we will hire Carolina in the future to capture other life events. If you are looking for an amazing photographer that will give you gorgeous pictures that stand out from everyone else's, look no further! -

Carolina took our engagement photos in November of 2020 and we absolutely loved working with her. From the start she was very engaged and wanted to learn about us as a couple before taking our photos. She set up a video call before the photoshoot to learn about our preferences and what kind of style we were looking for. She knew that we were a bit shy and hadn't taken professional photos like this before, but really helped to ease us and make the experience fun. We wanted to capture authentic photos that felt like our real day to day life in the place we love, our home in Brooklyn. She definitely did just that! She wore a mask the whole time (Because of COVID) and made sure we felt safe. She was very responsive and sent the photos just a week after the shoot and revealed them in a beautiful slideshow that made us cry! If you're looking for beautiful, meaningful, authentic photos, definitely work with Carolina! -

Carolina is a very skilled photographer, and has a great artistic eye. My partner and I planned a last minute elopement and luckily Carolina was available to capture the moment for us. She had us do some funny poses at the time, but now that we have seen the photos, the images she took were great!! She was prompt with her arrival at the venue and was even willing to be a witness, which was very helpful. We would definitely recommend her to any couples who are looking for a kind and creative wedding photographer!! -

Beyond ordinary work
Carolina is truly gifted photographer! Her technique and style is nothing like I have ever seen. We used her services for civil ceremony and our main wedding; both times she delivered work above our expectations, extraordinary! Through her pictures you are guaranteed to relive the moment. Jennifer Sent on 05/31/2018For my 10th wedding anniversary and vow renewal, I wanted to surprise my husband with a boudoir shoot. Being a photographer himself (that has wanted to get me in front of his camera), I knew I had to get the best photographer for the job whose style is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted moody, sexy and mysterious and Carolina’s work fit the bill. On the day of the shoot, I love how Carolina focused on the body and making sure I felt comfortable. When I received the images, I was completely blown away. I couldn’t believe the beautiful and sexy woman in the images was me and I have not felt that way in a very long time. Carolina’s work is stunning and I’m so excited to look through the album for the years to come.

Carolina took the time to get to know us ahead of time and she made sure that all the shots that were important to us were taken care of. When she first got there I didn't even know she was there-it was so effortless. And when we saw our photographs we were so taken back. She captured our feelings from the first looks to the ceremony to the receptions. Looking at her photos from that night is just like reliving the moment all over again. We cannot recommend Carolina enough!

Danielle Sent on 02/10/2018Carolina's work captures emotion in a way that's difficult to even fathom or describe. We were on our honeymoon and eating dinner when I saw that we had received our wedding photos. We looked at only a few before my husband and I burst into tears at the table. The photos are that moving. Believe me when I say that our December 2017 wedding was the best day of our lives. There was so much palpable love in the room, so many wonderful memories made... but the mind's eye can fail you after a while. We were privileged enough to have Carolina document all of the "big moments" in an incredibly beautiful way, but also the little details that we may not have even caught on the day itself, but will now treasure for years to come... My father and I crying while dancing to the song he wrote for me, my mother getting emotional zipping up my dress, new friendships blossoming, my very elderly grandparents dancing together, tender hugs, tears of joy, laughter, and absolute bliss. We knew we had wanted something "different" in a photographer. Wedding photos all start to look the same after a while, and we felt that Carolina's photojournalistic style and romantic tonality could capture ours in a way we would cherish forever. We still wanted some classic portraits, which Carolina so perfectly directed - even with such a large, 20 person bridal party and big families on both sides. But for the rest, we completely entrusted Carolina to just do her thing. She is super, super creative, she is patient, she is completely relaxed and laid back and is overall just a really confident and cool and person and true artist. Her assistant Niño was cut from the same cloth, catching hilarious and awesome moments of the groom and his groomsmen, a great alternate perspective of the wedding ceremony, and of course, some amazing dance floor shots with Carolina. The amount of compliments we've received on our images prove that they are truly something special. We cannot recommend Carolina enough! A+++++

We really didn’t value or understand how important and what joy our wedding photos would bring us until Carolina sent us the most valuable and long lasting asset from the whole day, her photography. I haven’t enough words for how far they exceeded our expectations. Beyond that all our family and friends treasure them, everyone relived the day watching the slideshow. Thank you so much Carolina, one of the luckiest and best contributions to our wedding and will be treasured throughout our marriage. -

Michelle Sent on 03/18/2014As soon as I began looking at venues, I began looking at photographers. I was willing to schedule the wedding around the photographer - my wedding pictures were that important to me. I was thrilled to find Carolina of CWR Photography. Her images were creative and honest. Many of her pictures looked like pieces of art. The more that I got to work with Carolina, I realized that her resultant images were only a part of what makes her a great photographer (as if that weren't enough). She gives thought and time to each detail, with beautiful packaging...
Many of my friends complained about the lack of responsiveness from their photographers. Carolina answered each email (and there were a bunch!) within a day, always thorough and complete in each reply. She was spot-on with her timeline for the wedding day, which made things go smoothly.
On the wedding day itself, we didn't have great weather, but she didn't let on that it was a set back. She just gave more thought into how to make things work. I didn't have a sunny day with bright blue water for my beach wedding, yet the pictures were gorgeous.
After the wedding, when many of my friends said their communication with the photographer dropped off, mine picked up. Carolina kept me up to date on the status of things, and was in tune and insightful in putting together the album. The album was delivered about 7 months after the wedding date (and would have been ready earlier if I hadn't been so indecisive).
I would recommend Carolina and CWR Photography to anyone, with no reservations. She was incredible, and I am extremely happy with the results. -

Beth Sent on 04/21/2016Carolina was just wonderful from start to finish. She was very concerned with understanding our personal aesthetic (which aligned very well with hers) and getting to know us. We did have a "connection session" with her a few months before the wedding and the photos were terrific. We felt like she captured the two of us so beautifully.
On the wedding day she was totally professional and 100% responsive to our needs. At one point while I was getting ready I really just needed 20 minutes to myself and kicked everyone out of the hotel room. I felt like Carolina and her assistant Karen completely understood and when they came back 20 minutes later I was all set to go.
The photos are really special... very journalistic and creative while still documenting the event. We would highly recommend booking Carolina for your wedding or any other significant event.
