Carolina trace was everything we dreamed of and more for our wedding day! It’s beautiful, well priced, and all inclusive! Ellen was so great to work with! She listened to everything we wanted and was always so quick to respond to all of our emails. Everyone is still raving about how delicious the food was. (Order the Parmesan risotto-you won’t regret it!) The presentation of everything was stunning and everything we asked for. I would recommend this venue to anyone getting married! Wonderful from the Beginning!
Kate was so wonderful to work with. I have never planned anything this big and never married so I was completely lost but she guided us through the whole thing! The servers were also amazing and the food was phenomenal! It was everything I wanted it to be and more. I cannot thank Kate and the Club for all their hard work making our day so special!

The perfect location for my December wedding!
Carolina Trace did such a great job with our wedding! My December wedding was beautiful, thanks to CTCC. I originally wasn't sure about having my wedding in Sanford since I'm from Raleigh and wanted somewhere more local, but everything that this country club had to offer was too good to pass up. I fell in love with the venue from the moment that I toured it-- it truly is a hidden gem! Even though it is a shared club (with the members), we basically had the place to ourselves for the wedding. We had the ceremony in the hearthstone room and the reception in the ballroom and it turned out perfectly! We also got pictures outside, which were beautiful near the lake and outside on the patio. We had the steak and salmon for the food and an open bar. The food was delicious, and the drinks were great too. Overall we were very happy with the value and service that Carolina Trace provided!

Carolina Trace was a beautiful venue to have our wedding last weekend. Ellen and her team did a phenomenal job! Ellen was very professional, responsive, flexible, and accommodating to all of our needs to make our day extra special. The food was amazing and being able to taste it before hand was definitely a great perk. We had severe thunderstorms, tornado warnings, and hail during our ceremony which prevented it from being outside but having the flexibility to be indoors was awesome. It turned out beautiful anyway! If you need a wedding venue then definitely look into Carolina Trace!

Our wedding
We live in Trace and knew we wanted to have our wedding at the club. It was beautiful!! Everyone was very professional and Ellen kept me sane! The food was marvelous. And with COVID the club was very careful that we followed guidelines and were safe. Such a perfect day!

Gorgeous venue
Carolina Trace was recommended to us by a friend after we started our venue search and we are so happy that we arranged a meeting with them! The venue and the grounds are absolutely beautiful! The lake lawn where outdoor ceremonies are held is full of natural greenery and seasonal flowers so outdoor decor is not needed! The food is also excellent, and there are many options to choose from. We loved working with Ellen, the coordinator, and found all the other staff to be very friendly and accommodating. I had no issues with the “flow” of our day, which was my biggest fear as a bride who planned the entire wedding! I highly recommend Carolina Trace as a wedding venue- and my husband and groomsmen really enjoyed the golf course as well!

When looking for a venue, we wanted something that took a lot of the stress out of the planning. We also wanted an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, with a single location. Carolina Trace checked all those boxes! Being a country club, they serve as the caterer, coordinator, and venue, with all "extras" like tables and chairs and linens being included. This takes so much of the stress out of wedding planning and their inclusive package is reasonably priced for everything you get! Not to mention, the garden ceremony location and ballroom are gorgeous for a classic, timeless wedding. They have a multi-purpose room that serves as the bridal suite, which isn't huge but was plenty for my wedding party. If you want a stress-free experience and a beautiful outdoor venue, look no further!

Wonderful memories of a very special day.
Ellen was a joy to work with and helped plan a lovely sit-down luncheon to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary. Social distancing was strictly observed by the way the tables were set in the Heartstone Room. We even had 2 tables on the outside patio, complete with linen tableclothes and napkins. We had many compliments on the meal as well as the 2 young ladies that served us. The price for everything was more than fair, and Ellen was there the entire time to oversee things. She even made sure that the walls of the outside patio were freshly washed. It was truly a very special day with many wonderful memories.

I have been working with Ellen planning my wedding at Carolina Trace Country club and I couldn't be happier. Ellen is so great, knowledgeable, and responsive. I'm so looking forward to my wedding in May 2020. The outdoor setting at this place is spectacular and I can't wait to have pictures taken there. Carolina Trace is a great and affordable venue in the Sanford area. I really enjoyed having my big day at this venue because it was very organized and beautiful. When we arrived to the venue, they had placed all decorations on each table and made it easy and less stressful. Victoria was great and I really appreciate her professionalism, organization, and kindness. The venue: Carolina Trace is a hidden gem! It was the perfect venue to have my wedding and reception. We loved the idea of having both the wedding and reception in the same place. The property is picturesque and made for beautiful photos.
Planner & Staff: Victoria, was a tremendous help to us with everything. She was very professional, dependable and she really knew her stuff when it came to planning. She was responsive and flexible with last minute changes and we were really blessed to have her a part of our day. She made sure we stayed on track with the timeline and didn’t mind taking on the task of giving orders when we were busy trying to get ourselves in order. She and the staff (especially Ashleylynn) went above and beyond to keep the wedding party on time and ensured all of our desires were met. I actually miss working with her, and it was a really good time. We would highly recommend Carolina Trace to any couple planning their wedding in North Carolina.
Food & Fun: The food was delicious, all of our guests are still raving about the food. There were no more appetizers left to go around. So many people have said it has either been the best wedding they had ever been to or that the food has been the best they’ve ever had at a wedding. Everything came out perfect for our special day. It was a great feeling to stand back at the end of the night and see everyone enjoying themselves so much.

The venue offers indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception which was perfect, everything is in one place. I was able to get ready at the venue with my bridesmaids which made everything much easier. The venue is beautiful - and functional. Notice the natural light. The food is delish - and the chef is wonderful to work with. But let me tell you about the best part - the event/wedding organizer, Bridget Klish. She guided us perfectly on everything we needed. She answered all my questions - and thought of questions I had realized I needed to ask. She has resources galore and is quick to share. It was such a perfect wedding. The day before our wedding, she orchestrated a wedding for 200. Our wedding was 40. Carolina Trace County Club makes every event feel special!

We had a wonderful experience with Carolina Trace! The country club was affordable, beautiful views, and had extremely friendly service. Bridget was very helpful with all details, even with last minute additions to food choices! There was little for me to worry about the day of the wedding because I knew she had it all under control!! Carolina Trace helped make our reception a lovely and rememorable party!!

I'm so glad that we chose to get married at Trace! Bridget is incredible to work with and was more patient with my indecisiveness than I could have ever asked for. The venue wound up handling so many pieces of our wedding from the rehearsal dinner to the linens to the food. Trace was more than accommodating when it came to changing little details last minute, and made me feel that they truly cared about making our special day one we would remember for a lifetime.

We held our reception at Carolina Trace Country Club and the whole experience was great from start to finish! Bridget was extremely helpful, flexible and responsive in helping us plan. The process was very smooth. The location is beautiful inside and out! I highly recommend this location!

Best decision I ever made to choose this as my venue! There is a beautiful ballroom to accommodate quite a large crowd and the price wasn't bad for what you get. Everyone was so helpful during the whole process and Bridget was there every step of the way. A beautiful venue whether you have an indoor or outdoor ceremony. Love that if there is rain, there are covered areas to still have beautiful pictures. Luckily for me it's was a beautiful day. Thank you to the entire staff and I would definitely recommend them! The lake and golf course make for amazing pictures and is just a beautiful venue period!

I would have to say the staff at Carolina Trace did an awesome job! I had my ceremony at my husbands church with the reception to follow at the Country Club! Bridget Klish was on top of everything, and she even wore my wedding colors it made me smile!!!! I highly recommend Carolina Trace! The food was great! We heard nothing but great remarks from the guest about the food and the view. Bridget was on top of everything I was always able to reach her!!!
I was also able to use the site for my bridal portraits!!

I cannot say enough great things about CTCC. My husband and I booked this venue because it worked best for both of families. In the beginning we worked with their coordinator, but she ended up leaving. Dawn took over for our wedding and I couldn't have been happier. We had our ceremony outside and reception in the banquet room (136 guests). The weather was a problem, but in the end, Dawn let me make a last minute decision on whether to have the ceremony inside or outside. They were flexible, and adjusted everything as needed. Great value, great team, and a beautiful location. I wish we could do it all again!

My wedding was everything I expected and sooo much more!!! The venue was absolutely beautiful and the staff was amazing! Ms. Stacy Krick provided not only outstanding service but kept a professional attitude throughout the duration of our needs from beginning to end. As stressful as the wedding preparation process may be, Ms. Krick was more than willing to offer help and advice and also has a good networking relationship with reliable resources such as officiants, florists, bakeries and dj's within the tri-county area. As the event coordinator for the Carolina Trace Country Club, many efforts were made to ensure the my wife and i's wedding went successful as planned starting with the very reasonable rate for the venue, the extra perks of using the club cars, and even extending the half ballroom we paid for into a full ballroom. If you want a place that meets the minimum expectations and something plain and simple, other places would be right for you, if you want a LEGENDARY wedding experience with outstanding service and unforgettable memories, Ms. Stacy Krick is just a call away.

Stacy was a great help when it came to planing our Wedding. She was always available to answer questions. Carolina Trace holds Vendors Gathering to help with the other needs of your event and it was very helpful especially when you have no clue how to plan a wedding and doing it all yourself. This wedding was a great success thanks to Stacy Krick... From the first time I met her I felt as if she was family and I was going to enjoy working with her. I felt she was going to do everything within her power to make my daughters wedding the event of the year. If I had a question she went out the way to answer it right on the spot... She worked the wedding as if it was hers... My hat goes off to her for everything she did to make it an enjoyable rememberable event. Many thanks goes out to her and if I ever need a place to hold an event she will be my go to person. Words really can't explain the respect I have for her and all the work and hours she put into this wedding... She was a dream come true.

Stacy and the folks at the Carolina Trace Country Club were amazing to work with! I am a Wedding and Event Planner and my client booked them months out. When I was hired to be day of coordinator, I contacted the club to introduce myself. I found out the young lady my client initially worked with to book the venue was no longer there. Mary took over and made the transition very smooth until Stacy was hired. Stacy was very accommodating to every request and handle everything professionally. She was very efficient and timely. Stacy's team was great on the day of the wedding and made sure venue was perfect and the bride and groom were happy! Look forward to working with this venue again!!

Flexible, Reasonably priced, the food was incredible. Chef Brian prepared the most incredible meal. The filet was literally the best filet I have had EVER.
You really should consider this place is you haven't. Our guests were blown away.

Stacy and Mary at Carolina Trace helped make our wedding spectacular! The venue is stunning; we got married outdoors by the lake (beautiful!) and held our reception in the elegant ballroom right next door. The venue is not outlandishly expensive, in the mid-range price of places we looked at. I would highly recommend using their catering and their chairs, podium, linens, etc instead of bringing in additional vendors. Carolina Trace has a lot of options in those regards, and the food was delicious. All-in-all I would not have trusted any other venue to handle my wedding. We had an amazing experience here.

Victoria is an amazing director. She made sure everything went smoothly and if hiccups occurred I had no clue because she that good. She very attentive to details and gives honest opinions. With one of my vendors I hired they almost did not meet my vision and Victoria was right on it. She also made sure i was happy and did not let me stress about a thing.

If you are a couple looking to book this venue for your wedding, I HIGHLY recommend it. The food was fabulous and the chef was great to work with. He went above and beyond to make sure my quests were taken care of (I had some with special diets). Bridget (event coordinator) is FANTASTIC! She promised us that she would be there every step of the way and that was a promise she kept!!!!!!

We had an amazing day at Carolina Trace! Victoria and her team were very much on top of everything day of, which helped to make a flawless day. If there were any issues we were completely unaware of them (which is how it should be). The only issue we had would be the getting ready room for the groom and his groomsmen was a public locker room in the country club. Looking back, I believe that was brought to our attention, but I think we thought that it was going to be closed to the public for the day. But as I said previously, the team helped us make a fantastic and memorable day!! Also, the grounds are beautiful!!! Even an indoor wedding was stunning!! Thank you to all that helped us make the day great :)

Our guests had a wonderful time and we received many compliments on the food and decor. Stacy was very responsive and answered all my questions and handled all of our concerns about the flow of the evening. We had our daughters wedding at Carolina Trace in the middle of Hurricane Matthew. It was a stressful day for everyone. No one really got to appreciate the beauty of the venue. However the venue could be cleaner inside and the dressing area is not really ideal. They need to make a few change shere to be a big wedding venue.
The bus company and florist we used was amazing, ...you should post some photos our deco was better then most of your pictures on the wedddign site now. The food was very good, portions reasonable , we loved the meal even if they didnt serve everyone dessert, for some reason, if you got up to use the washroom or go to the bar they just didnt leave pie for you...terrible really. I know the weather was a worry for staff but the young manager was rushing everything. We paid a lot of money but she cancelled the soup, rushed dessert and did not serve the coffee. I know they were short staffed, missing servers and only one bartner, but the show must go on, They had no alcohol at the bar for two hours only wine and beer but I paid for that and we were asked to leave early . The night was a blur for me.. The young event person needs to be more organized, she needs to connect the ministers and DJ's etc..better. I am going to to call her with some advice. I am hoping for some kind of rebate. I know the weather was a concern but we paid for things we did not recieve. I am still amazed we didnt loose power.
There is a house up the road you can rent on Arir BNB it is a converted dairy barn...look into it.. a great prewedding location.

Day of lady quit. New people have no idea.
- rude gate security
- took weeks to email back
- made MOB cry
- made us clean up night of. Even though we were told we could next day. Told at 11pm THAT NIGHT.
- didn’t get bride and groom the cocktail hour food as promised.
- rude ass staff
- “Cut off” groom after receiving “too many drinks in 10 min” - friends brought him drinks that sat on our head table
- ran out of signature drink within an hour.
- “day of lady” told groom bride was drinking too much and that’s why ceremony wasn’t late even though it was pushed back Bc cocktail hour food wouldn’t be ready.
- called rehearsal day to get money. (When we were running around doing fifty things for rehearsal dinner)

Horrible Customer Service
I would love to leave a positive review like I had previously written when Victoria was the event planner here. But sadly, we had a terrible and horrific experience with the new event coordinator Ellen. We original booked this venue with Victoria and were so excited to have our wedding at this beautiful venue. The beautiful building and grounds are just not worth it when you have to deal with this women. Shortly after setting our date Ellen took over and everything went south. We had horrible customer service throughout the planning process. When we met her for the very first time it was at our food tasting. She was mad and irritated that we were 20 min early for our appointment. She also was not familiar with either the food or bar menu. When we sat down for our plated dinner food tasting she ask “are you doing a buffet or plated dinner?” Even though our contract was sitting right in front of her and she should have known that based on what we ordered a few days prior. She was very rude towards my groom and our two guests that came with us. It was hard to enjoy the tasting with all the constant eye rolls and irritated behaviors. I have never heard an event planner questions someone’s financial status or credit limit to her clients before, but don’t worry Ellen does that! She is not one to be flexible and understand of what the bride and groom want and trust me we did not ask for anything out of the ordinary. With covid we had to be flexible and give up a lot of what we had originally planned and paid for. It was difficult to see our head table taken away and our chairs spaced out, but we gave that up. With all the changes being constantly thrown our way in rude and frightening emails we were very worried about our wedding. The day of our rehearsal dinner her and the food and beverage manager (Dennis) pulled me the bride from our event to threaten the fact that our wedding would not take place outside the following day due to rain. Which let me tell you there was a 20% chance of rain until 2 and then nothing and the wedding of 78 people did not occur until 5:30. This obviously made me extremely upset due to having to be so flexible during this covid journey and the only thing I wanted rain or shine was to have our ceremony outside. They had our rehearsal dinner evening end in tears and frustration from myself and our families. Thanks to our family and friends, they made sure chairs were set up outside the venue regardless of rain or not. The decision that so desperately needed to be made the night before did not need to happen at all because they don’t even use the same chairs! The staff just did not want to do any extra work. The day of our wedding was no different when it came to customer service. Ellen was sending everyone inside near the bridal suite causing our guests to see the bride way before the wedding. Other staff members took matter into their own hands and moved guest and blocked me. She thought it was okay to raise her voice at the bridal party and our families. In addition garbage was all over the lower patio and one of our groomsmen picked most of it up and asked Ellen if she could have someone come down to get the remainder of the garbage as the wedding was starting shortly she responded with “ no, I don’t think so.” When returning to the club for cocktail hour after picture our bridal party was welcomed by rude guests screaming them from the other side of the room to put a mask on, mean while they themselves were not wearing them. This really makes me made because we paid for a full club closure so these guests should have NEVER been there in the first place. Our wedding and photos happened and when we entered the ballroom for dinner we were seated at our sweetheart table. Expecting a server or someone from the venue to bring us something to drink or at least ask, that did not happen. Ellen never acts like she cares or is happy for you. A wedding is a very big deal and should only happen once in your life! Ellen should not be a wedding planner because she does not have the passion and kindness for this job. She once again very rude, inconsiderate, unhappy, and disrespectful.
