Amazing During Difficult Times

Not only is Carly an amazing make up artist, she is also a wonderful person. My wedding had to be cancelled due to COVID-19 and Carly was a vendor that showed she truly cared about her clients. I was lucky enough to have done a make up trial with Carly prior to all of the shelter in place orders. I recently saw a photo of myself from that day and couldn't believe how flawless my skin looked. Carly truly listened to all of my ideas and helped me find the look I was going for. We must have gone through 7+ lip colors looking for the perfect "almost natural" color that I had made up in my mind but couldn't quite describe, but she still found it. She was incredibly patient and never made me feel rushed or silly. I cannot recommend Carly enough, she is worth every penny and everyone in your party will look flawless!

Absolutely Wonderful!

Carly came highly recommended to me from my sister and friend - and she lived up to the hype! From the initial e-mail organizing the makeup trial to helping coordinate 11 individuals makeup schedules on my wedding day, Carly is incredible. For the bridal makeup trial, Carly traveled to my home in Chicago the morning of my bridal shower. It was really fun to get my makeup done for that event. On my wedding day, Carly and I talked about the bridal trial and tweaked the makeup a little bit from that day. It was exactly what I envisioned for my wedding day and can't thank Carly enough. She is so great at what she does!

My wedding go to gal!

I absolutely LOVED my wedding makeup! Carly listened to my style, offered suggestions and made me feel so comfortable! I had no doubt in my mind that the look we created beforehand would be nothing short of beautiful. All of my girls looked great and loved their makeup too. Carly is simply the best!

Carly is simply the best!! Not only is she very personable and sweet, she is extremely responsive and organized. Carly will make sure you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way in creating your wedding day look. I can't emphasize enough how comfortable and beautiful I felt on my wedding day! Not only that, but my makeup and my bridesmaids makeup looked fresh all throughout the night. Carly was also able to accommodate a very last minute request to squeeze in my mother in law and grandmother in law without any hesitation- this meant so much to me. I can't recommend Carly enough!

Beautiful make-up and great experience!

I worked with Carly for my wedding in October 2019 and she was fantastic! I don't typically wear a ton of make-up, so I loved Carly's approach to wedding make-up. She took the time to really listen to me and worked with me to test different looks so I felt 100% comfortable going into the wedding day. Plus she was so nice and easy to work with-everything was so organized and she was on top of all my questions. The day-of make-up was beautiful and I loved that I still looked like myself.

Carly elevates her client's natural beauty

I could not be more impressed with the makeup artistry Carly provided. She worked with me every step of the way - from trial to the day of the wedding, she listened to my thoughts and concerns. As someone who rarely wears makeup - I was very apprehensive about makeup on my wedding day. Not only did I not want to look overly done -up, but I wasn't sure how face makeup would wear on me. Carly made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process- even pausing throughout the service to ensure we were still on the same page. On the day of the wedding, she was so prepared and made me and my bridesmaids feel amazing. She perfectly attended to each person in her chair and made everyone's natural beauty shine. As a plus - she even mastered the makeup on my maids with lots of freckles! I would wholeheartedly recommend Carly to anyone seeking a partner who is kind and great at their craft.

Carly is amazing.

Wow. Where do I even begin? Not only is Carly incredibly talented, she also just happens to be an absolute joy to work with. Despite being a professional photographer, I'm super awkward when it comes to being in front of the camera and getting my make up professionally done. I worked with Carly for a professional branding session (where I had to be in front of the camera. Ugh) and, despite initially feeling nervous, I ended up leaving the shoot feeling confident, beautiful and like I had made a great new friend. Carly really listens to you when you express your vision. She managed to make me look like me, but a super beautiful, dewey, doe eyed version of myself! I know I will be using her services for any and all of my make-up needs in the future and have been recommending her to all of my clients. Thank you, Carly! Stay amazing!

Carly is amazing!

Not only is Carly super talented, she is also such a lovely person! I have never been super confident with make up and usually feel awkward when it’s professionally done and never love the results. Not the case with Carly! I had so much fun chatting with her while she did her magic and the result was beautiful. Amazing Makeup Artist

I have nothing but positive things to say about Carly and the makeup services she provided for my wedding. She has such a calm presence and really listened to what I wanted for the day. I don't know where to begin. Carly was an absolute dream to work with. From beginning to end, she made everything just so easy! She was such a genuine and sweet person who really took the time to get to know me and what I wanted for my big day. Carly is amazing!

This review is LONG overdue! Carly did my bridal makeup and the makeup for my bridal party of 7 bridesmaids and two moms for my September wedding. I seriously cannot say enough wonderful things, not only about Carly's AMAZING work, but also her overall demeanor. Carly listened to my vision and created the perfect wedding day look! Carly's style is natural, and I loved that I looked like me (with a little bit of extra glam) on my wedding day. Absolutely perfect "natural" bridal makeup!

Carly was AMAZING! During our trial she was very good at explaining all her steps to creating the look I wanted for my wedding day. She paid great attention to detail and made sure I was comfortable with all the products she was using. We worked together to create the perfect look. On my wedding day she helped schedule and make a timeline for all of my girls to get their makeup done leaving extra room at the end for touch ups. She listened to what we wanted and make us look absolutely gorgeous. I typically don't wear a lot of makeup so her "natural and simple" style really made me feel beautiful. I highly recommend for all brides and bridesmaids!

Carly did not only makeup for my engagement photos in Chicago, IL but also for my wedding in Stevens Point, WI. Her ability to bring out your natural beauty without using pounds of makeup was very refreshing! She provided myself and 6 other bridesmaids a natural glowing look that lasted all day and made us feel so beautiful. I am SO grateful to have worked with Carly for my bridal makeup. She is an incredibly knowledgable makeup artist and was so helpful at creating the perfect look for my wedding day! During my preview, Carly guided me through different options and helped me decide exactly how I wanted my makeup to look. I usually do not wear much makeup, and Carly was able to create the natural look that I wanted. I especially loved the individual eyelashes that she applied that turned out so beautiful and natural. Carly is INCREDIBLE. She came very highly recommended by our (also amazing) wedding photographer, and I am so happy that I had the opportunity to work with Carly for my engagement photos and on my wedding day! We did my makeup preview for my engagement photos, and I absolutely loved the result in person and in the pictures. I wasn’t exactly sure how to articulate what I wanted, but Carly guided me through some different options and created the perfect look. I left like an enhanced version of myself. In preparation for the morning of the wedding day, Carly created a couple of timeline options for my bridesmaids and me. We had so much fun and were relaxed getting ready that morning, and Carly’s personality and organization were a huge part of that. She even created a little personalized kit for me on my wedding day with the lip color she made for me, blotting sheets, makeup wipes, etc. She is thoughtful, detailed, and extremely talented. There are not enough words to fully express how wonderful working with Carly was! After having a mediocre trial with another makeup artist - finding Carly was a breath of fresh air. I was immediately drawn to her style and philosophy, which came through beautifully on her website (check it out!). I honestly remember looking at her site and feeling like I had just won the lottery. I don't normally wear a lot of make up on a day-to-day basis, so finding someone who could create a natural, but enhanced look for me was very important. From the trial to the big day - Carly did not miss a single detail. She created a custom look for me that I felt amazing in and was able to perfectly recreate it on my wedding day, with just the right adjustments to make sure it lasted on a much hotter day than anticipated. I had all of my bridesmaids get their makeup done as well and everyone could not stop talking about how amazing Carly was. She seriously has a gift for creating the perfect look no matter your skin type, tone, or features. Working with Carly for my wedding was nothing short of perfect! From the time of booking to my wedding day, Carly was kind, responsive, and extremely helpful in any and all questions I had. I booked Carly because I really wanted to look not only beautiful on my wedding day, but also still look like me. During our first meeting, my trial was not only helpful in figuring out my wedding look, but also a ton of fun! Carly was absolutely fantastic to work with from the day I booked her up until the day of the wedding. Prior to my trial, I never enjoyed getting my make-up done for other weddings or events as it never really fit me or my personality. I don't normally wear a lot of make-up, and was looking for a more natural look for my wedding. I obviously wanted to look like I was wearing make-up, but it was extremely important for me to look like myself on my wedding day. Carly came to my house for the trial and answered all of my questions. She tried a few different techniques so I could feel comfortable and I really enjoyed the entire process. I absolutely LOVED the way that I looked and felt after my trial and everyone at my bridal shower complimented my make-up the entire day. On the day of the wedding, 11 girls needed to get make-up done and I was a little nervous about having to hire a second make-up artist I did not know. Carly took care of all the planning and brought someone along with her with the same style who was also extremely professional. Every single one of the girls absolutely loved their make-up, including my mom, who is extremely picky. I was also running all over the place while I was getting my make-up done on the big day as last minute things were happening, but she patiently waited for me until I was ready and was a very calming presence. She gave me super helpful tips on the big day and truly made me feel beautiful. I got so many compliments on my make-up that day and the pictures look amazing! I highly recommend Carly to any bride looking for a make-up artist. She was extremely professional, kind, and an absolute joy to work with!

Carly was a dream to work with! She did my make-up for our engagement photos and wedding and I couldn't be happier! She came to my house for both events, and came prepared with everything that she needed. She was able to complete my make-up, 5 bridesmaids and a MOB, with no stress or rushing. My wedding party was incredibly thrilled with how they looked. My make-up was perfect all day, and when the night was over it still looked amazing. Carly even went above and beyond and provided a partner to completed my future MIL's make-up. I truly liked that Carly was there to do my make-up and didn't have a minimum amount of people necessary to come. Carly is amazing to work with, and provides a quality product!

I can't say enough amazing things about Carly. She is extremely professional with set up, getting to the locations on time, and responding to any questions I had. I am a licensed cosemtologist myself so I can be very picky and she captured my makeup perfectly. She also was extremely flexible as one of my bridesmaids had an emergency and could make the original scheduled time, Carly hung out till my girl got there and was quick and efficient getting us out the door on time. She also had the challenge of working with an end stage cancer patient. Putting life and color back in my mom's face was one of the best things about the day. Carly was great to work with! She came recommended to me from my now SIL. During my makeup trial, Carly really got to know me and understand the look I wanted for my wedding day. She took her time and was able to adjust anything I wanted to tweaked without any issues. On the day, myself, a bridesmaid and my SIL all had their makeup done by Carly and they (like me) loved what Carly was able to accomplish. Carly was extremely helpful in creating the day of timeline to coordinate with my hair stylist (Hair By Spair - Jen Spair) and best of all, part of Carly's fee allows her to come to you. That was one thing I didn't want to worry about on the day, I was able to hangout with my girls in our hotel room while hair and makeup came to us. Carly was AMAZING! I cannot recommend her highly enough. She did makeup for everyone in my wedding party and they all not only looked gorgeous, they felt gorgeous. Carly was absolutely amazing to work with! we had originally booked her to do makeup for myself, my mom, sister + sister-in-law for our 300 person wedding at Heritage Prairie Farm (where we found her through) in May. when i then got in touch with her to let her know we had decided to do the actual ceremony two months beforehand in our home in an "elopement" of sorts, she was so incredibly accommodating + did all of our makeup for that, too! we all absolutely loved working with her! as someone who rarely wears enough makeup to tell i have any on at all, she did the most amazing job of making sure I still felt like myself...even with lashes on!
I highly recommend Carly + would book her again in a second!

There is nothing but excellent things to say about Carly. She was referred to me by one of my sorority sisters and Carly did not disappoint.

Carly came to my house for my trial before my shower and she was there for 3 hours or so. I instantly clicked with her and felt like we were old friends. My trial was amazing, she worked with me and my dry skin on my forehead and redid my make up on my forehead to be sure it sat right. She listened to what I liked to wear for make up and just went to town and did NOT disappoint.

She was easy going with adjusting schedules before the wedding day due to my mom being iffy about getting her make up done after she had a bad experience with my brothers wedding. I had already talked to Carly before though and briefed her way ahead of time. Carly said she would try her hardest to please my mom with her make up, and she could redo her make up if need be. My mom ended up getting her make up done and loved it!

The day of the wedding I thought I was being a pain in asking Carly to redo my cheek with the airbrush, because my skin didn't look as flawless as I thought it should. Carly didn't hesitate to touch it up from there. She touched a few things up and worked very well with all of my bridesmaids and moms. She is such a down to earth, happy, amazing person!!

I was a little hesitant to hire Carly at first because she was a tad more expensive than other make up artists I'd found. However, I am 100000% satisfied with my decision and DO NOT regret it at all. I was also hesitant because I thought I wanted to go smoky with an eye look and was a bit worried that all the pictures I'd seen Carly posted it was more neutral than I wanted. I told her this during the trial and told her I regret thinking that because even though my eye shadow was more neutral colors, it was anything but neutral and boring. Best make up ever!! I LOVE Carly!!

Carly was absolutely wonderful to work with! I found her by reading reviews online and she lived up to everything that I read. She did a trial before the wedding to make sure the look was what I wanted and was very thoughtful about what would look right with my skin tone as well as being very knowledgeable about the look and products she was using which made me feel comfortable. She listened to what I said I liked but also gave suggestions and was willing to change certain aspects of the look, which I appreciated. Carly was very organized, emailing me with next steps and reminders which made working with her very easy. Carly alone did 10 girls makeup the day of the wedding and handled it with great patience! I would highly recommend Carly for your event!

Wow! Carly is extremely talented and a pleasure to work with. She helped me create a natural and beautiful makeup look for my wedding. I truly felt so confident and pretty on my wedding day. She came to my moms house that day to do my makeup and my wedding party. Everyone was thrilled with their makeup. Carly did an incredible job with my makeup for the wedding (and with that of my wedding party!) I did my makeup trial before our engagement pictures, so I could see how the makeup looked photographed. Carly was very good at making sure that I still looked and felt like "me.". Carly excels at a very natural look; I felt like a better, more polished version of myself, which was exactly what I wanted. For example, for our makeup trial, we tried one set of fake eyelashes that I did not like because I could "feel" them. I reached out and Carly and I exchanged a few emails, and she was able to correct the problem for the wedding day; the eyelashes I wore felt invisible and so comfortable! My biggest concern for the wedding day was time; I did not want to be stressed about running late nor did I want to be checking my watch. Carly heard those worries and was so accommodating as we set the schedule for the day. I appreciated her ability to offer options that put me at ease about my concerns. Additionally, she was also great at "editing" quickly the day of; my mother-in-law is not the easiest to please, and Carly had to jump through a few hoops to get her happy. Carly took all of this in stride; she has a great, sweet personality. I highly recommend her services, especially if you want to feel like yourself on your wedding day.

Carly's professionalism, talent and warmth were all such important attributes on and the days leading up to my wedding day on 4-22-17!

I really enjoyed the overall process and experience with Carly. She was a bright, direct, positive and genuinely caring person to be around during two potentially hectic mornings: my bridal shower (trial) morning and my wedding day. She built-in a cushion of pamper time both mornings and tremendously contributed to the calm, fun and camaraderie I desperately wanted on both days.

Her ability to listen to my wants and feedback and her knack for adjusting/tweaking makeup on the fly was all so helpful. I knew I was in great hands from the beginning because of her knowledge, courtesy and timeliness answering emails and questions. When I asked, she had great recommendations for short and long term skincare. Additionally I received fabulous vendor recommendations from Carly when I was seeking opinions.

In the beginning, I showed her tons of pics of many different styles I liked and she did an amazing job helping me find the the style and colors that worked right for me. She educated me on certain makeup brands, trying and seeing different products types and colors on myself during my trial (such as the side-by-side difference in appearance between air brush and traditional makeup on my face). She provided a natural appearance and dewiness I ultimately was going for and coverage that was right for my style, skin type, & shade/complexion... all very important since I was a 34 year old bride and no longer in my "glowing 20s", lol! Finding a look that we both loved came very naturally to her.

I wouldn't have felt my most beautiful on my most important day ever without Carly.. and I'll be forever grateful to her for helping me feel and look my best on our wedding day and in our pictures and video that we'll always look at and enjoy!

Wow! Carly is simply the best! I cannot say enough good things about her. She is absolutely amazing at what she does. I was very nervous about booking a makeup artist because I didn’t want to look too overdone for my wedding day. Carly is so understanding and really listens to what her clients want. She was able to put lashes on my maid of honor who usually absolutely hates to wear lashes, and my maid of honor fell in love with them! She is so professional and comes fully prepared for each and every makeup application. Carly works well with other wedding vendors and is in tune with what they are looking for. Carly also gave me suggestions for other vendors such as spray tan and hair! Carly created my schedule for hair and makeup so I didn’t have to worry the day of my wedding. My whole bridal party fell in love with Carly. She just fit right in and made us all feel so comfortable. It is like we have known Carly for a long time and she is one of our closest friends! I was so lucky to work with Carly three times and all three times I loved my looks! I’m so sad my wedding is over! I look forward to working with Carly again!!!

I truly can not say enough wonderful things about Carly.

I don't wear a ton of makeup in my day-to-day life, and when I've had my make up done professionally in the past, the artist seemed to over-do it and I ended up feeling like I didn't look like myself. During my trial, Carly was so patient with me and really took the time to listen and understand what my style was and how I wanted my personality to be reflected through my makeup on my wedding day. Since I don't wear a lot of makeup, I really didn't have any clue about the different types of product or the application process. During my trial she explained exactly what she was doing and the products she was using. It was really interesting!

Dealing with logistics and planning with Carly was also a breeze. She was prompt and professional, answering all my emails and questions, she took time to confirm the details in the days leading up to the wedding, and was a complete sweet heart on top of it.

I'm not sure what it is about her, but she just has one of those personalities that makes you feel like you've known her for years. The day of my wedding I was so nervous while waiting for my turn to get my hair and makeup done, but once I got in her chair, her kind and friendly demeanor made me feel so relaxed. I knew I was in good hands!

I met Carly when she did the makeup for my sister's wedding in October 2015. I had just gotten engaged a week prior, so it was serendipitous timing, for sure! Once we booked our date my very next email was to Carly, because I just knew she would go fast. Lucky me, planning ahead paid off!
She was fantastic at my sister's wedding, but I only experienced it as an MOH - as a Bride, she is THE choice for makeup! She is easy to communicate with, whether email or text, and she is happy to provide suggestions and referrals if needed. Scheduling my trial was simple and easy, she is willing to come to you and willing to show up as early as needed. The trail was my favorite part - we got to talk one-on-one, a normal conversation, but she was able to casually work makeup and beauty into it in order to create my best look. I showed her a picture of one of my favorite makeup days, and she was able to create the perfect wedding day look from it, adding little embellishments and making changes to "level up," but the key thing is I still looked like me! I also love how we became friends in a sense, she took time to get to know me, my fiance, our story, and even asked how my sister was doing after her wedding - a year later!
She helped create a morning-of schedule that fit well with the hair stylists, and is well aware of actual time needed, helping us stay on timeline and even finish a bit early!
I don't know if I will ever need makeup done for another event, but if I do, Carly is my girl! After being a bridesmaid 7 times before my own wedding, and experiencing at least 4 other MUAs, I suggest her to everyone in need, because I truly feel there is no one better.

I can't say enough good things about Carly. She was so great to work with. I focused on looking like myself and still wedding appropriate. She was very true to that but also suggested a lot of great things to consider. She was super accommodating to my bridesmaids who wanted more or less makeup and she did super responsive, flexible, and kind throughout every step of the process. Carly is wonderful at what she does and super fun to work with. I absolutely recommend her to anyone and everyone!

The most important part of my wedding was making sure my vendors were the best! I can't say enough times that Carly truly was THE BEST! I had such a great experience working with Carly to do my wedding makeup! She was so professional, sweet, and easy to work with. As soon as I saw her work on her website, I knew she would be the perfect person to do my wedding makeup because I love the natural looks she does. I have always been so picky when I get my makeup done because I never have felt like myself in the past, with Carly doing my makeup I felt 100% like me and absolutely gorgeous. She was so accommodating and was willing to do my trial super early on a Sunday morning so that I could wear the look to my bridal shower. I cannot say enough how happy I am that I chose Carly as my makeup artist for my wedding. Talk about a match made in heaven! I went to her house for my bridal preview and we clicked right away. I felt so comfortable and knew I could be honest about what I wanted. I went home knowing I chose the right person to be there with me on the most important day of my life. On the day of the wedding, she did not disappoint! She showed up early to set up, and somehow managed to stick to the very tight schedule that I gave her. Every single person who had their makeup done by her (bridesmaids and mothers) absolutely loved the final product. She was able to incorporate their personal style while still making it fit with the style of the wedding. As for my own makeup, she couldn’t have done a better job. I knew she typically did more natural makeup, which is what I wanted for my skin, but we wanted to accentuate my eyes. In the preview, we started minimal and worked our way up to the perfect look that I envisioned. She took before and after pictures and sent them to me so I would have them. I’ll admit, I looked at them an embarrassing amount between the preview and the wedding day. She just did such a good job! I was reminded all over again how amazing she was when I saw the wedding photographs. She made my makeup look flawless the entire day and night (I never had to reapply) and I will cherish the pictures forever. You will be so happy if you choose Carly to do your makeup on your wedding day. And, like me, you will be sad when your wedding is over that you don’t get to work with her anymore!

Carly was truly amazing! I had the most wonderful experience working with her for my summer wedding. She is extremely professional and I remember being blown away by all the helpful information she shared even in our first email exchange. My mom and I absolutely loved our trial makeup and we got along with Carly right away. She welcomed any feedback and spent the time to make sure our looks were exactly how we hoped. Choosing a natural look was one of the best decisions I made and Carly executed it so flawlessly. I had a large bridal party but it was no problem for Carly and the second artist who accompanied her. All of my bridesmaids were so happy with their makeup and it was a terrific way to start the day. I also wanted to note how remarkably patient Carly is - my family has a Golden Retriever who has an odd obsession with watching people do their makeup, and he sat right next to Carly the entire time for the trial and day-of! We tried to keep him away but he was just mesmerized and Carly didn't mind one bit - we all found it pretty hilarious. I can't say enough good things about Carly and I am grateful that I found her!

Carly was a godsend. Another reviewer mentioned that she has a calming presence, and that's absolutely the case. She is extremely professional but friendly, relaxed, well put-together and an amazing makeup artist! I don't wear a lot of makeup and didn't want to take a drastic turn towards diva-glam on my wedding so that my new husband didn't even recognize me. After a terrible trial experience with another well-rated Chicago makeup group (who powered on the gold eyeshadow and HUGE fake lashes), I thankfully found Carly who understands what the "natural look" actual means, and pulls it off in a beautiful, understated and polished way. My trial with her was utter perfection. She was extremely patient, answered all my questions, and even let me see the difference between airbrush and traditional foundation on my skin (all for traditional!). She walked me through what she was doing and why, and I came out of it not only feeling beautiful, but also understanding makeup more! The day of my wedding went the same way, and all the bridemaids had beautiful makeup as well. THANK YOU Carly!

I cannot imagine a better makeup experience than the one I had with Carly for my wedding! Carly totally understood the "natural but polished" look I really wanted, and she asked lots of helpful questions to ensure that I ended up with exactly the kind of makeup I wanted. Carly is one in a million. She did my make-up for my wedding, as well as for several of my bridesmaids and mom. Carly did all the makeup for my wedding--mine, my bridemaids' and my mom's. I was thrilled with how it turned out (I wanted to still look like myself--just a better, more glamorous version of myself!), and I know everyone else was too. We are a diverse group of girls, and Carly nailed the makeup on all of us. We especially loved what she did with our eyes (lashes!). I booked Carly for my wedding last month, in June. I would recommend Carly to each and every one of my friends in a heartbeat. She is professional, friendly, prompt, and excellent at what she does. She was able to make me feel both comfortable and confident while getting my makeup done. She also brings all of her own equipment (lights, chairs, towels) and is prepared and ready to go without a hitch!

During the trial, Carly talks with you in order to get a better picture of what you have envisioned as your "look" for the wedding. She takes you through what she is doing step by step so that there are no surprises. If you have ideas or different changes you want to make, she is more than happy to make that happen.

For the wedding, Carly was happy to show up bright and early! She got right down to business and made all of us look and feel amazing. The makeup lasted all day and looks amazing in the pictures.

I cannot recommend Carly enough.

Carly was an absolute gem! She was super responsive and returned e-mails quickly. The whole process was very low-stress, which says a lot for me as I am a super stressed type of person and even more so when it came to our wedding. She arrived early to both the trial and the day of and made sure that I walked away feeling that I looked my absolute best. She asked lots of questions to make sure that I got the look I wanted and would re-do or darken make up upon request without getting upset or offended that I did not like her work....it's all about how you want to look so be sure to speak up if you feel something could be changed. She was very knowledgeable about the products she uses and was able to steer me in the right direction for color suggestions. Do not be afraid of false lashes, they look great on camera. I did not get the GLAM lashes but the middle of the road ones. They were full false lashes and not the individual ones. But please, go with one of them - you will not regret it! Her work was flawless and her personality is super friendly and confident – something you definitely want when considering her work is painted on your face, which will be in all of the photos. I was really worried about finding someone I could trust with my make up and Carly was the best choice I could have made.

Carly was such a fantastic vendor to work with! I loved that she came to my house for the makeup trial and was totally responsive and helpful when I decided that I wanted to change from airbrush to traditional foundation for the wedding day. Even though my wedding was in August, my makeup stayed on flawlessly all night and it didn't feel like I was wearing tons of heavy layers. Carly was a joy to work with. I was struggling to find a make-up artist for my November wedding when a friend of a friend recommended Carly. I reviewed her website and portfolio, and I knew I wanted to work with her. I was both impressed and affirmed in her prompt email response along with her contract process--who doesn't appreciate clear, simple, and easy?! When Carly came to my home for my make-up trial, she immediately put me at ease. I had questions post-trial, and I really appreciated how she helped me fine-tune my look. Carly did my makeup for my engagement pictures as well as my wedding day, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Before I even booked Carly, I had some questions about ingredients in products Carly uses since I have an allergic reaction to a common ingredient. She promptly checked all of the products she uses to assure me that I would not end up with a bad reaction. Throughout the process, Carly always happily answered the millions of questions I had. She organized a timeline for makeup and hair, and had a very calming presence on my wedding day. Everyone had a great time with her, AND everyone absolutely loved their makeup. One of my bridesmaids has had her makeup done for tons of weddings, and said she's never liked her makeup (or a makeup artist) more; she hopes to have Carly do her makeup for her wedding too. At the end of the night, we all still looked flawless, even after taking pictures outside on a humid 90 degree day and dancing all night! Since my wedding, I've been trying to think of excuses to have Carly do my makeup again! :)

Carly was amazing! She did my trial makeup for my wedding the morning of my Bridal shower. She came to my home and we spent a lot of time going over what I wanted. Though, she could tell I was not fully satisfied, not 100% confident. So we did a retrial, I traveled to her. I left the retrial so happy and sure I would look great my big day! The second time I was more concise and prepared with my directions and brought Pinterest pictures for inspiration.

The day of, Carly was on time, if not early. Set up quickly and began makeup on my bridesmaids. She and I put together a timeline so the day would go smoothly. She also worked with my hair team to make sure i was ready on time.

I liked how Carly was easy to communicate with. She looked at the pictures I liked and put it on my face really, lol. Though when I didnt like something, she easily fixed it. She would do one eye, then the next and then compare and contrast. She helped me choose between traditional makeup and airbrush too.
I liked her method.

Carly did my make-up for my wedding day. And when I say "did my make-up", I mean she made me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life. She makes beauty look and feel so effortless. She is super easy to work with, friendly, and is always smiling.

She specializes in enhancing your natural beauty, and she is very knowledgeable about how to make you look the way that you want. She and one other artist did the make-up for all of my bridesmaids and mothers (10 people total!). We all loved the airbrush foundation! These might help if you are deciding between a few other make-up artists: Carly is extremely flexible. She came to my house to do my trial on a day and time that was convenient for me, and she also came to the hotel where we were getting ready on the actual wedding day with her own chairs and everything she needed. We also had two girls that changed their mind and wanted to get their make-up done after seeing her work on the day of the wedding - she easily accommodated for us, which was awesome! A few of the girls had questions on the type of make-up or specific look they were going for before deciding if they wanted their make-up done, and Carly was really great at getting back to me quickly.

I highly recommend Carly for the overall experience I had with her, her level of expertise, and the fact that she's just fun and makes you feel relaxed on one of the most important days of your life.

Carly is a professional, friendly, talented, understanding, and accommodating make up artist. I knew I was in good hands on my wedding day and did not worry at all about my make up. She listens to what you like and don't like and is willing to make adjustments to your make up if you do not like something. She did my make up and my sister's on site on my wedding day. She is prompt and timely in answering her emails and is always on time. Pricing of services are very reasonable. I would recommend her to any Bride that wants to have a natural beautiful look!

Working with Carly was totally great. I don't wear a ton of makeup and she managed to make me feel comfortable but look my best on my wedding day. The best compliment I received all day was how much I still "looked like me" through the makeup and that's all because of Carly. if you're looking for a flexible, professional and easy experience with makeup, she's your girl!

Carly is wonderful! She did my makeup and my mother's makeup for my wedding day. She even helped my husband conceal redness that he was worried about. We were so happy with the outcome! She arrived early, made me feel super comfortable, was incredibly sweet, very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and even gave some great tips! She was completely open to my ideas and worked with me to achieve exactly what I was looking for. My makeup turned out beautifully and lasted all night. I'm so glad I found Carly!

Carly did the make up for my wedding for myself, mother and 3 bridesmaids. She did an amazing job we were all beautiful! She was able to come to the house to do and work with my hair stylist to get all 5 of use ready and out the door on schedule. She also fit right in with my somewhat of a quirky group. My sister is getting married in January and she didn't even consider anyone else to do our make up. Look forward to seeing you in January!

I had quite the journey trying to find someone great, reliable, and affordable to do makeup for my wedding. I'm not a picky person, but I wanted my makeup to look amazing and I also wanted a makeup person to be an important part of that day. I found Carly as a referral from a friend who had her bridal makeup done by Carly and she had nothing but great things to say. I now can see why! Carly was awesome. First of all, she traveled out to my house for the trial. She has a great personality and took the time to really get to know my style and what I wanted for my big day. The wedding day makeup looked fabulous, not only on me, but my mom and all my bridesmaids were beautiful. Reasonable prices, especially since I got airbrush makeup and the fact that she traveled so much for my wedding. Best of all, Carly was so excited for my wedding day and really cared and that made it really special. Highly recommend!

I had my trial done the night of my Bachelorette party, Carly arrived on time and ready to go! I had a pretty stressful day but fortunately Carly put me completely at ease and within moments, I started having fun! Originally just myself and one other were going to get makeup done, but after everyone saw the amazing job she did, everyone signed up for my wedding, our moms too! The wedding morning went by so fast and Carly made every girl look stunning! I think the best thing about hiring Carly is that you don't just get her for two days, the trial and wedding, she was so involved throughout my wedding process and let me vent to her and even run all my ideas and visions off of her too! I've already referred her to friends and family and will continue to do so!

Carly was recommended to me by our photographer. I was impressed by her portfolio and fell in love with her “natural” and “fresh” makeup style. She was very attentive through email and her organizational skills made planning for the bridal party’s makeup very easy.

She was especially helpful when we met for the makeup trial. She explained all of the different options and was truly focused on making sure that the makeup style matched what I was looking for.

Everyone in the bridal party, including myself, was very happy with how the makeup turned out. Carly was very welcoming and open to meeting everyone’s individual makeup requests. The makeup looked great both in person and in photographs. I enjoyed working with Carly and would recommend her.

Carly was very friendly, on time, and talented. I would have liked more input on what “look” that she thinks would have fit me best, since I am quite indecisive. However, I am glad that we had a trial day because I think we worked out all the kinks before the actual wedding. Also the trial got me ready for wearing fake eyelashes which I think were a must for the big day. Overall Carly’s work was great, albeit you will need to have ideas beforehand.
