Our experience with Carly D’Angelo-Hall from Wild North Weddings was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. We eloped in beautiful Bear Creek Village in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, and Carly made the entire process effortless, joyful, and truly unforgettable.
From our very first meeting, we immediately felt a connection with Carly — her positive energy, organization, and genuine care instantly put us at ease. She guided us through every step of planning our adventure elopement: scouting breathtaking locations, recommending local vendors and restaurants, and even officiating our ceremony. Carly is truly a one-stop shop for couples seeking an intimate, stress-free, and beautifully personalized experience.
On the day of our intimate woodland elopement — just the two of us — Carly went above and beyond: carrying props, helping us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and even reworking our entire timeline last minute upon our request, without hesitation. Her flexibility and calm energy made everything flow naturally and perfectly. She truly listened to our ideas and brought them to life through her creative direction and artistry.
The very next day, we received a sneak peek album that absolutely took our breath away. Our entire album turned out amazing. Carly’s skill behind the camera is unmatched — every photo tells a story, capturing the emotion, beauty, and intimacy of each moment. The images were stunning, natural, and full of heart.
Carly is not only incredibly talented but also an exceptional communicator who goes above and beyond to make your day perfect. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful experience, and we are endlessly grateful for everything she did to make our elopement so special. The most amazing Elopement Photographer!!
I don’t even know where to begin because our photographer, Carly was truly the heart behind our entire elopement. What could have been an overwhelming three-month planning process became something beautiful, simple, and full of joy because of her. She didn’t just show up to take photos — she guided us, supported us, and genuinely cared about making our day unforgettable.
Even though our wedding took place in a state none of us lived in, she went out of her way to scout locations for us. Carly sent Google map links, photos, and ideas that helped us picture exactly what our day could look like. We had several phone, email and video meetings leading up to our wedding, and every single time she made us feel heard, understood, and excited!
She helped us find vendors in the WV area, reached out to some of them herself for initial date availability, and created a perfect timeline that made our day feel effortless. She also worked alongside a videographer that she didn’t know.. you would have thought they worked together in the past with how professional and well they worked off of each other. On our wedding day, she brought such a happy, calming, warm presence — the kind of energy you hope to have around you during such an intimate moment!
And the photos… they were everything. Beautiful, emotional, and delivered so quickly. She captured our love and the spirit of our day in a way that we will cherish forever.
We are endlessly grateful for her. She didn’t just give us photos; she helped create one of the most meaningful days of our lives. If you are lucky enough to have her as your photographer, you are truly in the best hands!! Thank you again Carly, we knew you were the right choice! 💗 -

I could write a 1000 page essay on why Carly is the best, but truly all you need to do is look at her photos to know that. She is absolutely incredible at what she does, and it’s enough to ask for a great photographer, but on top of that, she is also an amazing human. She is kind, personable, patient, and makes the photoshoot process so seamless. She is willing to try every different angle and pose just to get that right one, she makes the entire experience so easy and relaxing, especially for those who feel anxious or nervous having their picture taken. I would recommend Carly to everyone and anyone who asked, it was an absolute honor to have her photograph our wedding and engagement shoot, and I plan to use her for everything and anything I need pictures for in the future!! I could not have asked for a better photographer and experience than Carly provided. Carly communicated clearly and regularly with us from the first time we spoke. She did outstanding with our engagement session and I knew she would be perfect for the wedding. Carly helped with timelines for the day, thought of things before I ever did, and made our day so special. She focused on us as a couple and what we wanted! It was truly a wonderful day with them. Our sneak peak arrived within 24 hours of the wedding and I was truly speechless at how perfect the photos were! When we got all of our photos, it was even better than we would have imagined!! I can never thank Carly enough for capturing our perfect day in the most perfect way. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Carly! Working with her was genuinely a dream. From the moment we started talking in our initial screening call, it was clear that she is not only incredibly creative but also a genuinely caring, sweet and fun person to work with. After going through her portfolio, what really stood out was her ability to create a scene from something that is seemingly ordinary, as well as her attention to detail. The care she puts into capturing the feeling in each of her clients' major life milestones was so evident and simply stunning.
Carly did both our engagement and wedding. We had the best time at 5 in the morning, drinking champagne down on the river walk in Pittsburgh. She was even so sweet to make sure our dog had her moment to shine. During the planning process, I expressed interest in having film photos, too, and Carly was quick to say "let's try it!" and we have both incredible digital and film photos from both days that we will cherish forever.
We received our sneak peek for our wedding photos LITERALLY THE DAY AFTER THE WEDDING and our entire album within a month. When I tell you I was blown away going through the album I was BLOWN away. Of the seemingly millions of photos taken, every single one was composed in the most gorgeous, creative, and detailed way. When my husband and I went back through to create a favorites album, we had literally 800 in there. It's impossible to narrow down.
Another thing that truly set Carly apart was her ability to make everyone feel at ease. First of all, my husband and I are not natural posers - she captured the most amazing portraits, but also incredible candids of us and our loved ones that I love equally. We had a wedding party of 23 plus us, and Carly and her second shooter's friendly, laid-back (but timely!!!!) demeanor made the whole process fun and relaxed. I even felt like I didn't waste my whole evening taking pictures, and yet there were SO MANY gorgeous, varied shots to go through. It was so amazing to have these memories captured and still get to fully enjoy the day that we worked so long in planning.
Everyone says it, but your wedding goes by in such an amazing whirlwind; having Carly there to make sure that every bit of the day is captured in a way that is beautiful, natural and authentic was the best decision we made. You genuinely could not put a price on the memories that she was able to preserve for us - she is beyond incredible and we were so lucky to work with her.
P.S. I really couldn't even decide on pictures for this post, how can I be expected to pick some for a book?! -

I cannot say enough positive things about Carly! My husband and I were married on 04.29.23, and Carly was an absolute dream to work with. She was incredibly responsive during the planning process and reached out to provide assistance/guidelines to ensure we didn't miss a deadline or detail. She has a wealth of knowledge and ideas to assure you don't miss a beat. On our wedding day she captured every beautiful detail of our venue and the special moments I shared with my husband, friends, and family. I was blown away that at any moment during the reception, I could turn to look for her and there she was ready to capture the moment! She was incredibly quick too, which allowed us to take every possible photo we wanted and have some extra time to spend with our guests. Best of all by Sunday evening she had over 50 beautifully edited photos to share with us! I was blown away by the quality and beauty of all the photos and I couldn't wait to see the rest of them. She even surprised us with two small clips of our dance floor during our favorite songs that she was not previously aware of. ONE MONTH LATER, we had all of our photos! Wedding planning can be extremely stressful at times and Carly made us feel at ease during the entire process. If you're looking for a professional, organized, well priced photographer who provides breathtaking photos, Carly is your girl! -

My wife and I had an adventure wedding/elopement back in March, and Carly was our photographer. Carly was amazing! She was super responsive from the moment we reached out to her and was very helpful throughout our wedding planning process. Not only did she take amazing pictures to capture our special day, but she provided suggestions and insight into different wedding ceremony spots in Pennsylvania based on what kind of scenery we wanted. She also provided us with details on the elopement process and things we needed to acquire (licenses and permits) before the wedding. She gave us suggestions on things we could incorporate into our ceremony and different ideas for our vows. She searched for local make-up artists and restaurants that we could use for our wedding day. We landed on Boulder Field in Hickory Run State Park. It was such a unique venue and perfect for us. She was in constant communication with us and was well prepared for any situation. Carly is a true professional and went above and beyond for us. Thank you so much, Carly! -

Carly was probably the most important person to us on our wedding day. She is a true professional at everything she does and we cannot get over the pictures she was able to capture on the hottest day of the year. We still laugh because we literally never saw her during the ceremony, but somehow she captured the most stunning moments. What more could we ask for? Carly was not only our photographer, but was basically our wedding planner on the day of. She helped me create a timeline and had such great advice to help make everything run so smoothly. She is super down to earth, remembers the smallest details, and is also the best and quickest communicator. We had a sneak peek (of almost 60 photos) the NEXT DAY and our final gallery is endless! She truly captured it all and I believe the photos speak for themselves. -

We hired Carly do do our engagement and wedding photography. Carly is a JOY to work with. She made the whole process so easy. I personally am horrible at posing for photographs but she has a way of putting you at ease for the typical poses and is amazing at capturing perfect candid shots throughout the process as well. She is quick to respond throughout the planning process, knows her stuff when it comes to timelines and planning your day and gave us our FULL edited photo album less than a month after our wedding. One of the best decisions we made was hiring Carly and we can't wait to book her for our first anniversary! -

I searched high and low for MONTHS to find our photographer. I read reviews on probably 400 photographers. One day I came across Carly’s Instagram and just knew she was it. We decided not to do video so I knew whoever our photographer would be, they would really need to impress me. From the first time we spoke, we instantly clicked. Having the right chemistry with your photographer is EVERYTHING! Carly is so fun, energetic, creative and so freaking talented. She kept us on schedule, was able to rally with my very energetic group of groomsmen and bridesmaids, and even removed my veil for me & fixed my hair when no one else was around. We actually shot with Carly 3 times since being engaged and every time she delivered photos they were better than the last. We received our wedding sneak peek THE NEXT DAY. When you think sneak peek, you think one or two photos, nope.. she delivered 40! I haven’t stopped looking at them and crying happy tears every time I do. She literally brought our day back to life in the form of a photo. I was able to share those photos with all of our friends and family who weren’t able to make it and they all have been obsessing over them. If you haven’t booked your photographer yet, please call Carly NOW! Hands down best photographer out there! -

Cannot say enough good things!!!
I cannot express how awesome Carly is! She truly impressed me with how kind, flexible and professional she is. She kept the day rolling so smoothly and helped me so much throughout the day, even with things that a photographer doesn't have to help with! She got out pictures back to us so quickly, I was shocked! She really puts effort into her work and it shows. I am in complete LOVE with every single picture, it is so hard to pick a favorite. We had to change our date twice and venue 3 weeks before our wedding and Carly was awesome. She’s extremely responsive, organized and flexible! Things don’t always go as planned (as the case in our day) but you would never know it based on the pictures! We were running late, it rained during the entire ceremony, and we only had 5 guests instead of 200, yet Carly made our day and our photos a perfect memory. We originally picked her because of her experience with outdoor weddings and the fact that she was in our price range (listed on her site!!!) and are incredibly lucky we did. We haven't scheduled our big reception yet but hope she'll be available to shoot that as well! -

I absolutely cannot recommend Carly enough! Months after our wedding, as we are showing our pictures off to friends and family, I’m continuously hearing how incredible our photographer was and what an excellent job she did. I’m completely obsessed with our pictures and cannot stop looking at them. She truly captured my husband and I at our best. My husband will tell you that he hates getting his picture taken , but looking at our photos, he looks comfortable and you would never be able to tell. Carly had such creative ideas and was able to bring us unique photos that we never would have thought of. And of course, she was extremely professional through the whole planning process and was always quick to answer our questions. It was one aspect of our big day that I never had to worry about. We are so glad that we chose Carly to do both our engagement and wedding photos. If you want the best, look no further! Carly is your girl. -

Couldn’t have asked for a better photographer!
I cannot recommend Carly enough! From the engagement shoot through to the delivery of our wedding photos, Carly was absolutely amazing. She’s reliable, enjoyable to work with and always willing to go above and beyond to create the perfect shot. We weren’t sure where to take our bridal party photos, and she helped us find the most beautiful park in spite of not being super familiar with this particular area. Bethany Sent on 11/20/2017I cannot recommend Carly high enough! Out of 12 vendors we had all together, Carly is by far our favorite! My mom is a photographer herself, so we were very particular when looking for a photographer. Carly is absolutely perfect and my mom raves about Carly's photos all the time! She was always on time and prepared. She happily dealt with our crazy family situations and took time beforehand to make sure my husband and I were given a chance to get what we really wanted from our big day. Her and her second shooter ended up helping us get ready even that morning since we were running late. I also forgot to mention a couple things, that were actually rather important for her to know ahead of time (including the "first look" with my dad included in the pictures), until the morning of when all the craziness was going on, and she adapted like the professional she is and rolled with it! She was so kind and helpful and totally managed my bridal panics leading up to the wedding along with my hundreds of questions. She also custom designed our thank you cards (included in our package!), which we absolutely LOVED and have received tons of compliments on! Despite being in the middle of a busy wedding season, we got our photos in a super timely manner and Carly was in contact with us throughout the entire process. It's clear that she really cares about her couples' experiences with her we'd recommend her a million times over. Besides being an AMAZING photographer, she's also super funny, which was sooo helpful on the wedding day when everyone is stressed to the max! I simply cannot say enough good things about Carly but will absolutely be suggesting (and already have suggested) her to many of my friends in the future. She's the best!

I hired Carly for my wedding a few weeks ago and when I recieved my sneak peeks I was absolutely blown away! First when meeting her she was so down to earth and easy to get our ideas across to as to what we wanted for photos. She was very through with going over what we wanted pictures of on our big day. Being a plus sized bride I was kind of dreading what would come back to me but honestly, after receiving a few photos my expectations were blown out of the water! I've never felt so beautiful in my life! Not only were Carly and her assistant amazing at capturing moments without being seen they were perfect guests completely fitting in with the rest. You absolutely get what you pay for and if you pay for Carly you are getting the best! -
