  Wedding Photographer

  Jim, with Carlen Images, was fantastic for us on our wedding day. He did a great job at managing my disorganization and the last minute decision of mine to jump in the lake in my wedding dress. He captured that perfect moment of my dad throwing the pass as I jumped in the water and so many other great moments that day. Jim is affordable but without sacrificing quality, which is so important on a wedding day. Thank you Jim, we're beyond happy with our photos!

  Absolutely beautiful photos for our wedding.

  Jim at Carlen Images was exceptional! His professional experience shows when he captures the most gorgeous, beautiful photos of your important day! Jim is great to work with! Definitely would recommend him to family, friends and anyone for their special occasion.

  3 weddings, 1 family

  After seeing the work that Jim did for both of my sisters weddings, I knew who would be my wedding photographer. Jim was very personable and got all of the shots that we wanted while adding some great ones of his own. If you're looking for a wedding photographer, look no further.

  Carlen Images provided truly professional and superior service from start to finish.
  
  During our search for a photographer, we quickly learned the difference between having an experienced and dedicated photographer versus someone who merely owns a camera. Jim's portfolio of previous work, his approach to his work, and his incredible rapport impressed us from the start. After meeting with him, and then a few others, we ran to our phone to book him before someone else stole the date from us.
  
  The variety in the packages and a la carte items gives you the flexibility to find what suits your needs and expectations. We opted to add getting the hi-res files of all the photos - well worth it!
  
  Let's talk about the Big Day. We never would have imagined that there's so many things going on at once. It was clear from the start that we never had to worry about our photographer getting the photos and scenes that we wanted to capture. Jim knew where to be and when. He set the scene and lighting in every shot to perfection. We always felt like Jim was capturing our moment, as opposed to a photographer trying to force his/her vision upon us.
  
  After our wedding was over, the superior service never diminished. Before we knew it, we were able to view our gallery of photos online to pick our favorites for our album, as well as to make prints.
  
  The bottom line is that Carlen Images met and surpassed our expectations for capturing our special day. We would recommend him to anyone and everyone. Scoop him up before someone else does!

Both Jim and his daughter Saralyn were engaged in our creative desires for capturing the images of our wedding day. They worked tirelessly to ensure that we captured the tender, the funny, the beautifyl and the unique moments of the entire day. I would highly recommend his services to any couples, graduates, families or anyone looking for quality, artistic excellence and just a nice person to partner with for a special occasion.

  We couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our wedding day. Every request we made was followed through and our pictures came out amazing! I highly recommend Carlen Images and would choose him again in a heartbeat!! Thank you Jim, we couldn't be happier!!

  We chose Carlen Images after several disappointing meetings with other photographers. and were disappointed. Their prices were higher than we expected. Many had teams of photographers that we might not meet until the wedding day. Worst of all, any photograph book or hard copy of the pictures would cost more.
  
  We looked at Carlen Images because their prices matched our wedding budget. But what would we get for these prices? When we stopped by Carlen Images, we found there is one photographer, Jim Carlen. The office was decorated with his work. The photographs were BEAUTIFUL! And … we got a book of photographs included in the price! We were delighted to have something tangible as part of the package.
  
  On the wedding day, Jim and his assistant arrived on time. He was patient with the large bridal party ( 8 bridesmaids, 8 groomsmen, ring bearer ) and creative at fitting everyone into the shots. The day was overcast and cool – and with the right filters and lenses, the photos came out PERFECT. My daughter and her new husband were delighted with the book and photographs.
  
  Jim was also open to suggestions for special photographs allowing us to get a family picture with my 89 year old father.

  I am so happy that we chose Jim Carlen of Carlen Images for our wedding photographer. He is a true professional and was so patient with us during our wedding. He had some wonderfully creative ideas for our photos which made it all the more fun!

  Jim was fantastic!! Our pictures came out absolutely perfect! I couldn't be happier! During the entire night he made sure he wasn't missing any shots that we may have wanted! He is a must if you are looking for a photographer that knows what they are doing AND at a great price!! Thank you Jim!

  Jim Carlen of carlen images was, I believe, the best photographer we could ever ask for our wedding, even though we had to deal with wind gusts, we made the best of it. Being the groom writing this review, I have to say that the photographer is the artist, and Jim is a great one. We had a great initial meeting with him, great follow up and quick responses on every communication with him, on the wedding day, he was very energetic, snapping informal pics of everybody and some posed ones (IMO the informal ones are always the best ones), and even though the planner was on top of him pressing for time, he did awesome. The value is also tremendous, and we liked the option of getting digital copies and actually owning the copyrights to them. JUST HIRE HIM ALREADY!!!! :-P
