Ghislaine (“Gigi”) – Caribbean Blue Wedding Planning
We hosted our daughter’s destination wedding in Curaçao in November, and I can say without hesitation that Ghislaine (“Gigi”) from Caribbean Blue was the single best decision we made in the entire planning process.
About a year before the wedding, we interviewed Gigi and immediately knew she was the right person. From day one, she was organized, responsive, thoughtful, and completely tuned in to our daughter’s vision. Her communication was constant and clear, and she truly listened—not just to what was being said, but to the feeling and intention behind the dream wedding our daughter had imagined.
Gigi has an incredible ability to take a vision and translate it into what’s realistically possible on the island—while still making it feel magical. She was creative when needed, resourceful when challenges arose, and seamlessly pulled together a series of flawless events for nearly 100 guests.
Every event was outstanding:
• Welcome drinks and a white-party celebration at Soi 95
• A beautiful rehearsal dinner at Avila Hotel’s Blues (over-the-water restaurant)
• And finally, the wedding itself at Avila’s Octagon, which was absolutely breathtaking
Not a single event missed the mark. Everything ran smoothly, on time, and without stress—for us, for our daughter, or for our guests. People are still raving about how incredible the entire experience was.

Ghislaine brought our wedding vision to life beautifully, and the end result truly exceeded our expectations. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, and everything felt intentional, polished, and well put together from start to finish.
Her attention to detail really showed in how seamlessly everything flowed throughout the day. One of our favorite touches was the personalized menus she surprised us with for our guests. They were absolutely stunning and added such an elegant, meaningful element.
The vendors she selected were a perfect fit. We loved our photographer, videographer, DJ, and more, and they all contributed to making the day feel effortless and special.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gigi and the Caribbean Blue team. We hired her as our planner for our wedding in January, and she was incredible to work with from start to finish. She was always responsive and patiently answered every question we had along the way, no matter how big or small. Gigi’s attention to detail was second to none and you could really tell Gigi cared about making our vision come to life. She went out of her way to include a bunch of personal touches that made our wedding feel special and unique. The day of went off without a hitch. We truly can’t say enough good things about our wedding coordinator, Ghislaine. From the moment we started working with her, she made everything feel effortless. She was warm, responsive (even late at night and on weekends!), and always willing to adjust plans to make things work for us. All of her vendor recommendations were incredible – we loved our photographer, videographer, florist, musicians, and more!
Even when the weather threw us a curveball on the big day, Ghislaine remained calm and worked with the Avila team to seamlessly pivot and still deliver the most incredible day. One of our favorite touches was the personalized welcome packages she put together for our guests – they were so thoughtful and beautifully done.

A dream come true
I honestly don't even know where to begin - Gigi is the most incredible person/wedding planner and I highly recommend hiring her for all your wedding/event needs. Not only will she deliver your vision to its entirety, she is on her game from the moment you begin to plan to the moment it is over and then on. Her response rate is incredible, no matter what you need she is always there to help and take on any challenge you give her. Anxiety Reducer! She’s Amazing!
Our wedding planner, Gigi, was absolutely incredible from start to finish. We initially planned our wedding ourselves, but in December, our venue/boat disappeared. When our original plans fell through just four months before the big day, she stepped in and saved the day. Gigi's communication was prompt, professional, and genuine, making us feel valued and understood throughout the entire process. She asked all the right questions to bring our dream wedding to life, and her transparency with pricing ensured we stayed within budget, even with last-minute changes.
Gigi's choice of vendors perfectly matched our personalities, and her entertainment recommendations were spot-on - our guests had an unforgettable time, especially with the fire dancers and DJ. Gigi exceeded all our expectations, bringing our vision to life with grace and precision. On the day itself, everything ran seamlessly, leaving us free to enjoy every moment without worry. Wonderful local planner
We were so pleased she was able to help with our elopement marriage in Curacao. As a local, she was extremely familiar with all venues and people on the island, and had excellent connections in the government department that issues the marriage licenses. Ghislaine has lifted all the stress off’ our shoulders by planning every step of our wedding day as well as activities before and after the wedding. This included transport to and from the airport, arranging special rates and a room block at the wedding venue and excursions around the island by bus and boat.
Ghislaine has also made a mood board to share her vision while incorporating our wishes for our big day. All vendors and communication was taken care of without any hassle. Special shout out to the dream team of vendors Ghislaine gathered for us. From the location to decor, live music, food, cake & sweets, photographer and videographer, and hair & make-up!

Curacao is such a beautiful place and we are so happy we decided to have our destination wedding there! The weather is always perfect and there is so much to see and do on the island. To say hiring Caribbean Blue Weddings to plan your event is the best decision you can make would be an understatement. If you are looking for no stress, then look no further! Ghislaine (Gigi) is truly incredible and goes above and beyond to take care of anything and everything! She coordinated with all of the vendors (food, photography, DJ, décor, MUAH, officiant, etc.) and is very attentive, organized, professional, and just a genuine person. The set up and décor was so much more beautiful than we had imagined and the day itself was so special. Everyone from the wedding said how much they loved Gigi! We recently had the most incredible dream wedding in Curaçao, and we simply could not have done it without our amazing wedding planner. From the very beginning, she was attentive, organized, and always went above and beyond to make our special day truly unforgettable.
She took the time to get to know us, our preferences, and our vision for the wedding, and then worked tirelessly to bring that vision to life. She helped us navigate the many logistics involved in planning a wedding abroad, including finding the perfect location, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring that everything was in place for the big day.
On the day of the wedding, our wedding planner was an absolute superstar. She kept everything running smoothly and ensured that every detail was taken care of, from the beautiful bird of paradise flowers to the delicious food and drinks that were served. We were able to simply relax and enjoy the day, knowing that everything was being handled perfectly.
Looking back on our dream wedding in Curaçao, we truly could not have done it without our incredible wedding planner. She brought our vision to life, created a beautiful and seamless event, and allowed us to focus on what truly mattered: celebrating our love with our closest family and friends.
If you're considering a wedding in Curaçao, we cannot recommend our wedding planner highly enough. She is truly the best in the business, and we are so grateful for everything she did to make our special day so unforgettable.

Blown away
When I say Ghislaine went above and beyond that saying in it self us an understatement! I contracted her to help me with the day things so I wouldn't stress. Well she did more than that. She helped me find a photographer, videographer and officiant. She kept me calm and was communicating with all me and my type A personality. We decided a little late in the game to hire a wedding coordinator, and we are so, so glad that we did and found Ghislaine! Our wedding was truly a dream come true and it is largely due to her efforts. We met her only a few times through Zoom as we live in the US, but she was able to get all of the details we had planned for our wedding and coordinate all of the vendors with no issues. She was able to execute what we wanted better than we could even articulate it! She found an amazing band as well as a DJ, the cake designer, and a decorator, and brought our vision to life. She did not constantly pepper us with questions and microdetails which was very appreciated, but yet she was incredibly responsive every time that we reached out to her with a question or a clarification and always had the answer. She also curated incredible welcome baskets with products from local businesses for our guests and gave us options to choose from. There were small, personal touches throughout that made the difference. The coordination of the actual event was seamless as well- she was always present and moved everything along but was never overbearing. As one of the last in our friend groups and families to get married and having interacted with many a coordinator over the years, I can say with confidence that GiGi is the true Goldilocks of coordinators: just right.Caribbean Blue Weddings's reply:
