About this vendor
There is a moment on every wedding day when the couple stops managing and starts feeling. It usually arrives somewhere between the ceremony and the first drink, and it is the entire reason we do this.
Caribbean Blue Weddings plans and designs destination weddings in Curaçao. Couples come to us from across the US and beyond, not for a ceremony but for a wedding holiday: several days on a sun soaked island with the people they love most, ending in a celebration that looks like nobody else's.
We are based here. That matters more than it sounds. We know which beach holds its light at five in the afternoon, which venues handle rain without anybody noticing, and which vendors answer their phone in the week of your wedding. When something needs solving, we are the ones standing there solving it.
What we do is full service. Venue, design, vendors, timeline, guest experience, and the hundred small decisions in between. Your family flies in, and everything is simply already handled.
We take a limited number of weddings each year so that every couple gets the same attention. If your date is open, we would love to hear about the two of you.
Do you plan weddings for couples who live in the US? Almost all of them. Everything runs by email and video call, on your schedule and your time zone. Most couples meet us in person for the first time a few days before the wedding, and by then it feels like a reunion.
Is it complicated to get legally married in Curaçao? It is more straightforward than most couples expect, and it does need to start early. There is paperwork, and part of it involves an apostille from your home state. We walk you through every step. Some couples handle the legal piece at home and hold a symbolic ceremony here, and that is a good choice too.
What is the weather like, and what about hurricane season? Curaçao sits outside the main hurricane belt, which is one of the reasons couples choose it. Rain here tends to arrive briefly and leave again. Every wedding we plan has a weather plan behind it, quietly ready in case it is needed.
How many guests can you accommodate? Full planning runs to 100 guests, with larger celebrations quoted individually. Intimate weddings up to 50 guests are planned at the same level of care, at a focused scope.
How far in advance should we book? Most couples reach out ten to fourteen months ahead. Popular dates go early, particularly around the holidays. If your date is closer than that, ask anyway.
What does a Curaçao wedding cost? That depends on guest count, venue, and how many days you are celebrating. We are happy to talk you through real ranges from real weddings on a first call, before anybody commits to anything.

We hosted our daughter’s destination wedding in Curaçao in November, and I can say without hesitation that Ghislaine (“Gigi”) from Caribbean Blue was the single best decision we made in the entire planning process.
About a year before the wedding, we interviewed Gigi and immediately knew she was the right person. From day one, she was organized, responsive, thoughtful, and completely tuned in to our daughter’s vision. Her communication was constant and clear, and she truly listened—not just to what was being said, but to the feeling and intention behind the dream wedding our daughter had imagined.
Gigi has an incredible ability to take a vision and translate it into what’s realistically possible on the island—while still making it feel magical. She was creative when needed, resourceful when challenges arose, and seamlessly pulled together a series of flawless events for nearly 100 guests.
Every event was outstanding:
• Welcome drinks and a white-party celebration at Soi 95
• A beautiful rehearsal dinner at Avila Hotel’s Blues (over-the-water restaurant)
• And finally, the wedding itself at Avila’s Octagon, which was absolutely breathtaking
Not a single event missed the mark. Everything ran smoothly, on time, and without stress—for us, for our daughter, or for our guests. People are still raving about how incredible the entire experience was.

Her attention to detail really showed in how seamlessly everything flowed throughout the day. One of our favorite touches was the personalized menus she surprised us with for our guests. They were absolutely stunning and added such an elegant, meaningful element.
