We found Sheila and Carefree through a local google search of travel agents in our area. I'm so glad that we found her. We were looking for someone that was knowledgeable that could help us plan our belated honeymoon to Europe. Sheila was and did just that. She helped us plan our cruise, flights, drivers and hotels. She was also always available to talk to or email when we had a question. Were getting ready to plan our next trip with the kids and Sheila will be the first call I make. Sheila is the absolute BEST AGENT you could ever find to help you plan the ultimate getaway! I wanted to plan something special for our 25th wedding anniversary on October 4, 2022. Both my wife and I have traveled abroad in the past to Europe in which we both planned our prior trips together. This time I wanted to surprise my wife with a trip we both would never forget and let me tell you, we were both taken back & totally impressed with our trip she planned to Croatia… absolutely FIRST CLASS all the way! I had a minor accident the second day we were in Zagreb where I tore my meniscus. We thought we had to quit and return home, however after our local tour guide contacted Sheila and explained my issue, Sheila immediately went into action modifying the remainder of our trip to accommodate my injury so we could enjoy the rest of our ten (10) day trip! Simply put, Sheila is amazing, We can’t wait to put together another trip using Sheila’s expertise! -

I contacted Sheila when the time came to book our honeymoon for April 2022. We had an initial phone consultation during she really got to know my wants for the trip. I told Sheila that my future husband was not keen on traveling and I wanted a trip that he would love so much that it would make him want to travel more. I will say that my favorite thing about Sheila is that she made that a reality! The other great thing about her is that she has been all over the world and can tell you so much about so many places which really helps you decide where to book your trip to. We ended up deciding on Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios, Jamaica and we are so happy that we went there, it was the perfect honeymoon for us! The butler service, the food, the people, the beautiful scenery…everything was top notch and they really do treat you like royalty. Sheila let us know that we could go next door to the bigger Sandals resort with more amenities. We liked being able to have access to that as well but mostly enjoyed the calmer and more relaxed vibe at Royal Plantation. Sheila was very quick at communicating with me anytime I emailed her with questions. She booked two excursions for us: the bioluminescent blue lagoon and a day on the power boat, as well as a couples massage. We really enjoyed all of it and can’t wait to go back to Royal Plantation some day. If you are truly looking for a “carefree romantic vacation,” Sheila is the person to go to! -

Sheila at Carefree Romantic Vacations is the best! She planned our perfect Honeymoon in Hawaii. First class tickets on the plane, an amazing hotel, transportation for all events, and fun attractions each day, every detail was perfectly planned. The best part was it was stress free. We didn’t have to do anything other than agree to some of the events. She also sends a link for a phone app that allows you to see the entire itinerary with special instructions for each event and all the necessary documentation. It was so nice to be able to check the app daily for step by step instructions to make sure the day went smooth. We never had to contact her while we were there because of this preparation. If you want a carefree vacation at the best prices available, Sheila will put the work in to make it happen. We really could not have asked for a better Honeymoon. -

Second to None
Sheila Cannon with Carefree Romantic Vacations was absolutely the best!! Our original vacation was postponed due to COVID-19 and Sheila was right there every step of the way through rescheduling and setting it up for us to enjoy our 30th wedding anniversary in the Caribbean. Her first-hand knowledge of romantic locations and resorts as well as her attention to detail helped us have an incredible vacation and a wonderfully romantic getaway. -

Sheila is the best. She’s so responsive and fast! She planned our honeymoon and our first year anniversary trip and both were fabulous!! She provides discounts that we would not have been able to receive and she also provides an amazing itinerary and information package with travel gifts. We’ve received gifts from her during Christmas too and it’s just the cutest touch. Sheila really made our vacation plans amazing while we planned, when we were on our trip and even after our trip was over! Sheila was OUTSTANDING! She planned our magical destination wedding & honeymoon 4 years ago, and our recent second honeymoon was just as magical! Honestly- you have so much to do with the wedding process, leaving the planning of the honeymoon to sheila is the best decision I made! We wouldn't have been able to do such a bucket list trip without her help- we went to tahiti! She arranged absolutely everything from the flights, to the excursions, to the transfers! It felt like such a luxury to show up to the airport and have a guy with a sign and our name on it! she made the whole process so easy and streamlined- I highly recommend using sheila! -

We really enjoyed working with Sheila to plan our honeymoon at sandals in St. Lucia. I met her at a bridal show and could immediately tell she definitely knew her stuff, especially on sandals. Not only did she suggest which resort would best be best for us, but she was also able to work out a combo of two rooms so we could get what we wanted at the price we wanted, and she also was able to find a better price than I was finding online. On top of that she got us some extra perks like a spa credit which was amazing. Everything was great and we felt very prepared for our travels and had an absolute blast on the trip. We would definitely work with Sheila again and recommend her to others.

**UPDATE 04/19/19**
If you read the review below, you can see that my husband and I had previously used Sheila's services for our honeymoon about three years ago. Her attention to details and ability to catch the essence of what we want/need in our trip were the reasons we decided to use her services again for our Europe trip with my parents.
I contacted Sheila a few months before our estimated time that we wanted to do Europe. We could only vacation for a maximum of two weeks in March because of work, but also wanted to fit in as much as we could. Sheila was on top of her game, listening to everything we wanted, and even recommending some amazing destinations that we didn't even think of. In a span of two weeks, we went from Los Angeles to Amsterdam (our favorite city!), Paris, Munich, Lucerne, Venice, Rome , and everything in between. We listened to every single one of her recommendations, including taking a 1st class train vs coach, and her recommendations made a world of a difference. Sheila was able to make this whirlwind of a trip memorable and amazing, from letting us see a glacier at the top of the snow-capped mountains in Switzerland, to seeing the golden lavishness of the Versailles. Even with our schedule, she made sure to leave time for us to explore on our own.
While my husband and I knew that Sheila is amazing, my parents were blown away by her expertise and helpfulness. Even throughout the whole trip, she was accessible through a handy app that she provided, email, or by phone, which is incredibly reassuring during international trips. We will definitely use her services again for our next international trip! We love you, Sheila, for the headaches you saved and the memories you helped make!

I am so glad I reached out to Sheila in getting our honeymoon booked. I was already stressed out about wedding planning that I figured getting help on the honeymoon front would be useful. Holy moley, was that one of the best decisions of my life. Sheila took care of me from the beginning, listening to all our preferences and giving us so many options. The honeymoon we chose was the best experience of my and my husband's lives, much better than we could have ever hoped for. Our honeymoon was relaxing, action-packed, and amazing all at once. We were completely spoiled at our hotel, our Coba Mayan excursion allowed our adventurous sides to come out, and the Dolphin Discovery allowed the kids in us to have fun! We had nothing to worry about on our trip as Sheila arranged transportation and so many benefits for us! Sheila took a very consultative approach and planned the perfect honeymoon/one year anniversary for my wife and me. She spent plenty of time up front understanding our personalities and interests and made sure we had a trip that we would both enjoy.
Each stop of our trip (Barcelona, Ibiza, Amsterdam) had wonderful activities planned that let us explore the unique settings that each city offered.
We were particularly impressed with the hotels that Sheila booked, as they were all top-notch and unique with a boutique touch.
Sheila is fantastic to work with and is an absolute pro in providing a first-rate experience for a fun, romantic vacation! -

She was so professional and organized, that we didn’t have to worry about a thing! She booked our flights, transportations, meals and tour and everything went smoothly. One night on our honeymoon, we were on the deck of our overwater bungalow and thought about how it was so worth it working with Sheila. Jeannette Sent on 11/22/2017My no husband did not want me to fuss over the honeymoon since I was doing a bulk of the wedding planning and he was going to be jetting off to his military training for 5 months so he hired Sheila to book and plan our honeymoon for us. What a great idea that was!! We chatted with Sheila about what we liked and didn't like, where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see. Based on this, Sheila put together an itinerary for us and a few hotels she had selected for us to stay. After some tweaks based on our input, most everything was taken care of for us - hotels booked, flights booked, tours booked. In the week before the wedding, we received our travel documents and I was NOT expecting to not have to lift a single finger for our honeymoon. She had included the itinerary with the hotel stay, flight information, tour info and meeting place, as well as directions to and from each place! Our trip was in Italy and we were not going to have cell service out there, so having all of those directions ahead of time was SO helpful! Each day I only had to check the itinerary and pull out whatever vouchers or directions we would need for that day. And, given Sheila's connections with various hotels, we received some perks along the way. We will definitely use Sheila to help us book future trips and it was all just so worry-free! Our initial thought when planning a wedding was - OVERWHELMED, we had no idea where to start or even what we wanted to plan. The idea of a destination wedding came up and my parents, husband and I couldn't think of a better way to get married. We wanted to plan some intimate, fun and that was us! My parents have used Sheila several times over the years, we instantly thought to use her for our destination wedding. Sheila is the GAL to work with - as any bride is, I was extremely nervous and had NO IDEA where to begin. Sheila took the time to take into account our "Resort Needs" and narrowed down resorts for us to pick through, she then got info from each of the resorts wedding departments and allowed us to choose. This was exactly what my mom, husband and I needed to select a resort. We landed at Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos - which we loved, once we were there. I will say that communication - on the resort side - was lacking at times prior to arrival and Sheila worked through all of our communication lapses and kept amazing records. Sheila not only worked to arrange our group booking, but worked with the wedding department to plan our Fiesta in Cabo San Lucas. We will absolutely use Sheila and her company again no matter our travel needs.
A couple things any destination couple should think about when planning:
Patience - You will be working with people from other countries, time zones - who work at resorts.Their job is to sell you the biggest packages and make money. Sheila will help you keep what you want into account, keep record of that and knock heads when needed to see your dreams through.
If you have a vision of how you things to look - remember that, don't get lost in the idea that the resort and where you are at is the decor, if you want some color or traditional touches. You can absolutely do that! You may have to bring stuff with you, but don't let go of all of the traditions just because you are going destination!
Have FUN - I had lots of stress around bringing a group and making sure everyone loved it. Sheila put my mind at ease more than once, assuring my the resort had lots of amazing reviews and handled the group booking like a champ! She provided us with lists of who booked with arrival dates, which HELPED SOO much once we were down there. -
