We recently got married on May 8th, 2026 and I cannot say enough about our experience. First off, Steve is amazing at communicating and he gets things done right off the bat. The staff at Capulet is great, as well.
I knew I wanted our wedding at Capulet and didn’t even bother to tour any other venue and I am so happy we did. The building itself is absolutely stunning and you can’t beat having a mezzanine AND a rooftop all in one venue. Of course having a wedding in New Orleans comes with challenges…especially in the spring. Rain quickly became an issue and the day before our wedding we had to rent a tent last minute for the rooftop. Steve worked with us in getting this done in a timely fashion and our guests continue to talk about how nice it was upstairs.
While the rooftop cocktail hour was a hit, the food was as well. So many of our friends and family raved about the items we had on our menu and even though my husband and I only ate a tiny bit…I can certainly say EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS. Our signature drinks which were a French 75 and Old Fashioned were so good, too. Our guests couldn’t get enough!
All in all, 10/10 experience and I wish we could relive our night all over again. It truly was more magical than I ever envisioned.
If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with the most gorgeous industrial but quaint architecture, look no further…you have found THE place and I have no doubt you’ll enjoy your ENTIRE experience just as we did.
Thank you so much Steve for making our dream come true! It was truly a pleasure to work with y’all and I couldn’t have pictured our wedding anywhere else.
Let’s maybe do an anniversary party in 10 years? :D -

Perfect choice!
We booked Capulet for our destination wedding reception & it was the perfect venue. Our ceremony was held at Marigny, so Capulet was the perfect distance for a second line. Everything was beautiful. Steve & his staff were so great to work with, from start to finish — always responsive, friendly, professional, and accommodating. They made sure that everything we asked for was executed flawlessly. Most of what made our experience so great was the attention to detail, the simple gestures— for example, our his & her signature drinks being handed to us as soon as we entered the venue after the second line. During planning, I asked Steve if it was possible to do an espresso martini tower & he made it happen for us. We had a cigar bar set up, so the rooftop was a nice touch (especially for guests who wanted a quieter vibe). We’re forever grateful to Capulet for making our day so special. -

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here in September and had such an amazing experience. 20/10, 10 stars! The entire Capulet team made this whole process so easy and not intimidating at all. Steve and his team are all stars- special thanks to Steve, Teal, Lauren, and Stefanie. They walk you through everything every step of the way and the platform they use makes it easy for everyone to reference your venue plan. They immediately sent me all information from the initial inquiry including pricing so I didn’t have to schedule a call or meeting. Wedding planning is already stressful and having that open communication from the get-go was so refreshing! So reasonably priced compared to anywhere else in the city and the venue space itself is absolutely gorgeous. They were so patient with all of my stress related wedding questions and were so on top of all communication. We catered through Capulet and Chef Matt knocked it out of the park! They work with your budget and preferences and treated us like royalty during our tasting. (And they have a great food/drink menu during the week when they aren’t doing events!) Everyone raved about the space, food/drinks, and staff! We had a lot of guests driving in from out of town and it was great to be able to rent the parking lot across the street, especially when your guests are not used to street parking. Do yourself a favor and rent the disco ball because it added that extra fun ambience! We did a lot of DIY decorations and they worked with us to make sure we had enough time/help/space to set up while they were getting the space ready.
The only barrier we had was that the rooftop is only accessible by stairs. We were worried about some of our mobility impaired guests making it up there for the ceremony. They worked with us to adapt our ceremony plan for the dining room so that it was accessible for everyone and we are so truly grateful for the entire experience. Any small issues that popped up were immediately taken care of and we have no negative things to say. It was such an incredible night that we wish we could do it all again! Thank you Steve and the entire Capulet team!!!

Our wedding was perfect! Steve was so helpful and made our day as smooth as possible. The chef was outstanding. We received so many compliments on the food! The venue was a great size for our 160 guests. The venue has so much charm that it doesn't need a ton of decor. We had the ceremony on the rooftop, did a second line around the block, then had the reception in the main hall. The prices were the most reasonable in the city, and for what we got, I'd say it was a heck of a deal. The only small blip I would say we encountered was the load-in time for our Friday wedding, it was 3 PM which was a little hard but my team made it work! I have been recommending this venue to all of my friends. -

Capulet was a dream to work with throughout the process of planning our wedding. They clearly communicated with my partner and I at key milestones, organized a few special events (like a dinner + wine tasting for our parents), and were a joy to work with. I particularly appreciated how they have beautiful indoor and outdoor options (important in New Orleans weather!) that require minimal decoration to look great. Also, since they're a restaurant during the week, the food is excellent and reasonably priced. Easy five stars! -

We had the perfect wedding at Capulet. From iterating floor plans and ceremony details to designing our special meal, the entire team blew us away. Steve and Stefanie were thorough, communicative, patient, and transparent. They gave great recommendations and were very flexible with our special requests. The space itself is stunning and has so much personality - any additional decor is just extra. Truly the best night ever! The entire planning experience and the night itself completely exceeded our expectations. We cannot recommend the Capulet team enough! -

From the moment we began planning, the staff at Capulet were thorough and incredibly helpful. Stefani and Steve ensured that the entire process was as easy as humanly possible, handling everything in-house with remarkable efficiency. Their attention to detail and flexibility made our wedding planning stress-free and enjoyable.
One of the standout features of Capulet was the personalized menu, which delighted our guests with incredible food. The bartenders were exceptional, crafting delicious drinks that kept the celebration lively. The venue also provided a cozy space for the bride and groom to relax and prepare, adding a personal touch to our day.
The nighttime vibes at Capulet were perfect for a killer dance party, creating unforgettable memories for everyone. The seamless coordination and support from Stefani and Steve ensured that every detail was taken care of, allowing us to fully enjoy our wedding without any worries.

Couldn’t have had a better wedding!!
We looked at several wedding venues before stumbling upon Capulet. Capulet stood out more than any of the others. Not just because of how beautiful yet rustic it was but the price was actually affordable. So many of my wedding guests praised Capulet because of how amazing it was, not only the food but the atmosphere itself. Capulet’s staff was always eager to answer my questions and help with even the smallest details. The chef and bar tenders were so friendly. My kids felt so special because the bar tenders made them a kids Cosmo and shaken chocolate milk. We hosted a 100 people (and could have fit way more people) and had plenty of room for a big dance floor and our 9 piece band. Capulet offered so much that we only needed 4 additional vendors, flowers/decor, Photo Booth, cake, and our photographer. We didn’t have to rent any furniture because it all came with Capulet. I especially loved all the fun couch’s we had on the sides and upstairs. It made for a more comfortable evening for my guests that wanted to sit instead of dance. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect place. We highly recommend Capulet! -

We had a wonderful experience working with the Capulet to host our wedding ceremony and reception. Their team was incredibly kind and easy to work with - we felt well taken care of throughout the entire wedding planning process. They had no problem accommodating our special requests, and made many helpful suggestions about how to best utilize the space. Their kitchen put together a fantastic menu for our guests spanning local New Orleans cuisine as well as some Nigerian dishes, which were all delicious. We have nothing but good things to say about our experience at Capulet. -

Capulet is a fantastic venue, made for a perfect wedding day for us 5/11/24! Steve and Stefanie were so responsive and helpful in planning and running the day-of, making the day completely stress-free. Pony is a phenomenal chef and did an AMAZING job with our unique food requests, we got so many compliments on the food. Venue has a great vibe and guests loved the feel, no complaints at all. Highly highly recommend, they are absolute professionals and truly the best! -

We recently celebrated our wedding at this amazing venue, and it was everything we hoped for and more! The rooftop space was just right for our guest count, providing an intimate yet spacious setting that made our ceremony truly beautiful. The reception area was perfect, too, offering plenty of room to dance and still have space to relax away from the dance floor and DJ.
The staff was absolutely incredible — so kind and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly, and their hospitality really made a difference. Plus, they served delicious drinks that our guests couldn't stop raving about.
And let's not forget the food — it was outstanding! They did an amazing job blending our love for Creole and Central American cuisines, creating a menu that was both unique and incredibly tasty.
Overall, this venue exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and well-organized wedding experience! -

We had an incredible experience working with Capulet for our wedding. Steve and Stefanie were very communicative and we loved working with Pony to design a menu that we were proud of. We got so many compliments from our friends and family about the venue, the food, the general flow of the building and how it encompassed our event. The open floor plan made the whole event feels so inclusive and the reception area is a wonderful blank slate for any decor. The rooftop made for such a sweet ceremony and we loved how the nearby church bells would ring. The second line was fantastic, passing Dr. Bob's art studio and B. Mike's gorgeous murals. I highly recommend working with Capulet to make your Nola wedding feel authentic and unique! -

Wedding of our dreams!
We loved every minute of our wedding and reception at Capulet! The staff is phenomenal and really made us feel taken care of on our special day. The planning process went smoothly. We loved that we were able to book a versatile venue, delicious food, and superb drinks all in one vendor. The venue is spectacular and our guests LOVED the rooftop and downstairs spaces. The BEST Wedding Venue in New Orleans
Capulet was the PERFECT venue for a wedding. The space fully transforms into whatever you envision. The rooftop is an amazing spot for a ceremony or cocktail reception - especially during sunset.
Steve, Stefanie and their team are so helpful in all of the planning process and are so open to all ideas. They work with you to plan every detail of the day and recommend amazing vendors as well. I can't recommend Capulet enough!! -

We loved Capulet! Capulet is an amazing event venue - We hired them to put on our wedding reception (as we were married during a small ceremony in 2020). The Wedding reception was AMAZING, planning and event logistics/options with Steve was very simple and easy. Steve was very responsive and answered all my questions on different options or ways we could approach our event! Chef Chris worked with us to create an amazing menu - Korean Cajun fusion bring both my and my husband's culture together. The food was INSANE! Everyone could not stop talking about how good all the food was - it was so good!!!! Capulet gives a highly customizable space and menu which other venues could not provide (or would provide at an expensive price point).
We entered with a Second Line, held a Voodoo Blessing Ritual and still have tons of time for eating, dancing and drinking! The entire staff was warm and welcoming. We did not have a care in the world on our special day! -

You must book with Capulet if you want a truly sensational ambiance, delicious food, and a world class team to support you on your wedding day for an affordable price! First off, the venue is such a vibe. The rooftop is gorgeous and the ground floor is so cute and cozy. (Especially if you have a smaller/medium sized party - we had 50 people) you can totally dress up the venue as you like, but if decor budget is something you want to save on the venue has PLENTY of charm and doesn't need much at all. The food and drinks at Capulet are incredible too! We hade the option to choose between their inhouse catering and working with a pre approved vendor and we chose to go with their in house team who let us design our own menu (yes, from scratch, whatever we wanted) and the quality was amazing! Our menu was boudin egg rolls, sesame chicken bites, and crab beignets for apps with Flank steak and chimichurri, crawfish etouffee, mac and cheese, and crispy chili Brussel sprouts for dinner and let me tell you; everyone raved about the food! A niche thing, that was really important to us, was Capulet was an incredibly inclusive environment. We had a very diverse group of people at our wedding, many of whom had never been to Louisiana and they made everyone feel at home, their staff is also diverse and we felt truly like we were being cared for by a tight nit community welcoming us to their space. I think it's easy to fall in love with what a venue has to offer, but the thing that sold us about Capulet was Steve and the staff. Steve is so attentive to you in the entire process, he responds to emails/texts/calls in what felt like 2-3 hour turn arounds, he worked with us on every detail and made sure to get us everything we needed to feel comfortable signing and we thought once we signed maybe we wouldn't hear from him again but he checked in on us, called us the day of our wedding tasting even though he wasn't managing it, and generally was invested in us as people and a couple not just as clients checking a box. We can not recommend working with Steve and the Capulet team enough! Oh and one other thing, I know all venues have lists of recommended vendors, but Capulet's list is top tier. We got 2 of our vendors from their list who were the absolute best, made our day so special and we wouldn't have found them without Capulet so hats off to them for supporting other vendors who have the same values and level of expertise as they do! -

Capulet was so fabulous for our wedding this past October! We were so impressed by the food that Chef Matt made - absolutely incredible! They were very responsive during our planning process. We were even able to tack on a wine tasting with our food tasting which was so appreciated! We really loved having our sweetheart dinner in the private room on the mezzanine level. Our wedding got super rained out but they dried down the rooftop tables quickly so we could still have our cocktail hour. Thank you Lauren and Steve for creating such a wonderful experience for us and our friends and family! -

Our wedding ceremony and reception at Capulet were amazing! The building itself is beautiful so you don't need to decorate much. Since it is a restaurant monday-thursday they have a full bar and kitchen, which makes the food and drink easy to organize. Chef Matt worked with us on a combination Vietnamese and Louisiana cuisine menu and it turned out great. Got compliments on the food and the staff. Everyone working was super friendly and helpful. Everything was set up seamlessly. It truly was everything we were looking for. Steve and Stefanie responded to communications quickly and were always helpful. -

When searching for the perfect wedding venue, my husband and I must have toured at least 6 or 7 other locations in New Orleans, each of which had its own unique history and charm - which is what we wanted, but nothing really seemed to speak to us.
The moment we walked into Capulet, we knew. And we are so thrilled that we made the decision to hold our event there.
In the 8 months leading up to and including our wedding, Steve Nutting and his team were nothing short of amazing. The venue itself is visually striking, but Steve's telling of the history of the building and its standing amongst the Bywater community really touched us in a way that made the resilience of the building and the surrounding community something we very closely related to.
Stefanie, Capulet's event coordinator, is absolutely stellar and super-responsive, and although Chef Pony Schwartz stepped in mid-way through the planning phase, her creativity in crafting a super unique menu with us was probably the most fun of it all.
The organization, execution and overall delivery of our wedding day was nothing short of magical, and we have Steve, Stefanie, Pony and the rest of the Capulet crew to thank for hosting what was not only one of the most important days of our new life together, but words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation we have for their patience and graciousness with us every step of the way.
Last of all, the pricing structure can't be beat and was worth every penny.
Seriously, do yourself a favor and check out Capulet and get to know Steve and his wonderful staff there. It's an absolute gem, in a low-traffic area and a gorgeous part of what can be considered true New Orleans. We consider them part of the family now, and look forward to seeing them again the next time we pay NOLA a visit in our travels! -

Our wedding at Capulet was perfect! Our guests loved the venue and the food was incredible. The team at Capulet was extremely accommodating, making for an amazing event. One of the best pre-wedding experiences was tasting the amazing food options from Chef Jack. He took the time getting to know what we liked most and how to best accommodate our guests. Another highlight was getting to taste each wine that was available for the event.
We highly recommend Capulet for any event due to the welcoming, inclusive environment. -

My wife and I chose Capulet for our June 2024 wedding reception due to it's close proximity to our ceremony venue. It ended up being one of the best decisions we made! Steve and Stefanie were amazing to work with. Their excellent communication and organization took the stress off of us and made everything go smoothly. They were accommodating and willing to meet with us several times as well as patient with all of our questions. We love that they are active in LGBTQIA+ community events which was important to us as a queer couple. The space hosts a beautiful backdrop to bring your vision to life. It was plenty large enough for our 150-person wedding. Lastly, Chef Pony's food was SPECTACULAR. I chose the menu and she brought it to life better than we could've ever expected. We have gotten so many compliments on the food and drinks. We also added the beignet service at the end of the night which really tied our New Orleans wedding together and was such a special touch. Can't recommend Capulet enough! -
