Meg is simply amazing! We had to postpone our destination wedding twice & then cancel completely — then planned a Charlottesville wedding in 5 weeks. Meg was immediately responsive, helpful, sweet & calm — she was sure she could help me (even though she had never met me or did a trial!) she was a referral & Im SO glad I reached out to her! She was prompt, explanatory, complimentary & just all-around wonderful! She is a wizard-ess & made us all look like goddesses! Thankful for her in this crazy time of need & so happy to have met her! Her sweet & calm demeanor is exactly what any bride would want on her wedding day — she also has an exemplary way of understanding what “look” you want without having to copy celebrity pictures — she truly does flawless & beautiful work. My face FELT smooth & hydrated all day! Many, many thanks again Meg :) hope to use you again in the future! -

A long overdue review but one of the most well-deserved…
I cannot say enough about Meg and the incredible CC team! From start to finish they provided exceptional service.
I was possibly most nervous about finding the right makeup artist for my wedding. As a girly who loves makeup—and with a bridal party that feels the same—I knew I needed to find an artist who was not only highly skilled but also attentive to my vision and preferences.
I knew from the moment I met Meg at my trial she was outstanding. Beyond her talent, she brings a calm, positive energy that made the entire experience feel effortless and reassuring.
Day of, Meg and Molly brought the best vibes, they truly felt like they belonged in the girl group—it was so much fun getting ready with them! They created a warm and enjoyable atmosphere with the utmost professionalism. We all had exceptional makeup results, my mother and bridesmaids could not stop commenting on the quality and seamlessness of the work.
Having done a trial prior, I wasn’t nervous at all and was able to soak in every moment of being glammed. Meg made me feel my most beautiful, making all my little girl dreams come true. I truly felt that the happiness “glow” I was feeling reflected outwardly as well.
I wish I could relive this experience over and over again. A HUGE THANK YOU to Meg, Molly and the whole Captivating Complexion team!!!

Molly did an AMAZING job with my makeup. She listened to all of my visions and concerns and made sure it was exactly what I pictured and that I felt like myself. The trial was so good but the day of makeup was even better and she fixed all of the changes I wanted to make. Even day of, when my eyeshadow wasn't turning out how I pictured, she started over and redid it exactly how I pictured. She is committed to making you feel bridal and like your best self! She is so easy to talk to and really cares about her brides! We were instant besties! My bridesmaids loved her too! Plus my makeup stayed all night, in August!! Definitely recommend having Molly do your makeup any chance you get! -

I absolutely loved my makeup and how it turned out the day Meg did my makeup for my sisters wedding! I loved her character and her personality was amazing! She also did my mom, my sister(the bride) my aunt, cousin and my little sisters makeup and each experience they all had with Meg they loved! They couldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed talking with Meg and getting their makeup done with her. Meg made us so comfortable and feel so beautiful! Madelyn was absolutely incredible! She brought such a calm and positive energy to my wedding morning, which made the whole getting-ready experience feel relaxed and fun. She gave me the most beautiful, natural, and glowy look — my skin looked amazing and still felt like me, just enhanced in the best way. I loved loved loved how she made my eyes look big as well! I couldn't be happier with how confident I felt (especially as someone who does not do their make up often so really had no idea what to request)
She also did my mom’s makeup, which was so special because my mom never wears makeup. Madelyn made her feel completely comfortable, and she looked absolutely stunning. On top of that, Madelyn handled makeup for 12 people plus a sweet flower girl look for my niece (her first time ever getting makeup done!) — and everyone looked gorgeous.
Madelyn is not only incredibly talented but also such a kind, calming presence to have with you on your wedding day. I can’t recommend her highly enough! -

I don't even know where to start because I am still to this day obsessed with how my makeup turned out for my wedding day!
Meg absolutely nailed the full glam look I wanted — glowy skin, bold eyes, the perfect lip, and how picky I am with my eyebrows. I felt so confident and beautiful, and my makeup didn’t move all night through (many) tears, dancing (and sweating), and photos.
She’s not only incredibly talented but also the sweetest, kindest, calmest, and most professional person to have the morning of the big day. Having her there the morning of the wedding made everything feel effortless, as well as having a trial two months before the big day. Her and her second artist, Mary, efficiently were able to do not just me, but my 8 bridesmaids, and two mothers the morning of the wedding. She is also the best at communicating and giving out everything you need to know prior to wedding day.
I can’t recommend her enough and miss her already! Truly a dream artist and person! Thank you Meg and CC!! -

I booked Molly as my wedding makeup artist, and she was spectacular! The entire process from booking to wedding day was effortless and stress free, and I truly appreciated the clear communication and guides that she shared ahead of time. As someone who regularly wears full coverage glam makeup, Molly listened to my preferences and exactly nailed my vision for the day! For my mom and other family members who don't typically wear makeup, she was also able to enhance their natural beauty while still feeling like themselves. She was also so much fun to spend time with on the morning of my wedding, and truly just felt like another friend enjoying the day with us! Everyone still looked so beautiful at the end of the night after dancing, and looked stunning in pictures. I highly recommend Molly, and can't wait to find another occasion to have her do my makeup again! -

Her presence is so calm, cool & collected and such a joy to be around. The stellar reputation of Captivating Complexion was most certainly upheld throughout my wedding process. From my initial injury to wedding day and beyond, Tai and her team had excellent throughout and timely communication. One thing that I really love about Tai and Captivating complexion as a whole is that they are very active on updating their social media platforms. This is really helpful when selecting a makeup look because rather than finding something random on Pinterest, you can select a look that was already created by the artist. Or in my case- select several different styles and have Tai combine them to create my perfect look. On my trial day Tai took her time to create the most seamless beautiful makeup look that accentuated my features. Something else that I loved is that Tai took the time to take pictures and write notes to ensure that she replicated the look exactly on wedding day. On top of making me feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day, Tai and her team also crafted stunning makeup looks on 5 other girls. Tai did this all while staying ahead of schedule! I cannot say enough good things about Tai and Captivating complexion. If you are a future bride, trust me- you definitely want Tai doing your makeup! -

Tai is an absolute gem of a person and a phenomenal makeup artist. She made me look and feel like an actual goddess on my wedding day (I swear that is the best I might ever look in my entire life thanks to her). I got so many compliments on my makeup and all my bridesmaids loved their makeup looks as well. She has a great personality and was super easy to chat with the entire time she worked. My makeup trial was seamless as she listened to me explain what I was looking for and showed my example photos. She asked great questions to try and understand exactly what I wanted and also used her discretion when I wasn’t sure what would look best on me. She asked several times during both the trial and on the wedding day whether I wanted to change anything and to give her honest feedback which helped me feel very comfortable discussing different ideas to create the perfect look. She helped me feel care free on my wedding day and was 100% worth the investment! I cannot thank her enough and I highly recommend her to any future bride! -

Molly was exceptional!! I did a trial with her and made the drive to Charlottesville from Richmond but it was worth every penny and every mile. She talked to me about Taylor Swift and Fourth Wing the whole time and I couldn’t keep the smile off my face. She listened to the very few suggestions I had at the end of the appointment and took detailed pictures and notes.
On wedding day she was the makeup fairy godmother I didn’t know I needed. To say I felt like Anne Hathaway in The Princess Diaries when she says, “Me? A princess? Shut up!” is not an exaggeration. I don’t typically wear any makeup but Molly was able to significantly elevate my natural features without over-glamming me.
She’s just the sweetest, most talented, down to earth person you could imagine. And it was such a privilege to have her to my wedding makeup - which also lasted flawlessly for over 16 hours. Impressed, satisfied, and elated are understatements.

Tai from Captivating Complexion did a fabulous job on my wedding day. She did my make up as well as that of my fiance, mother, mother in law and my bridesmaids and everyone one of them LOVED the end result. They all had different skin types and she customized their make up so they would feel and look fabulous. My now-husband also got his make up done and I wish more men would do it - his make up turned up completely natural and no one knew he had it done. During my trial she worked me with to understand exactly what I wanted, she listened to my feedback and made recommendations that would align with my vision. On the day-of the wedding, she showed up on time, she was prepared, and had plenty of great conversation with everyone she worked with. My make up lasted all day and night! I would recommend her over and over again! -

I don’t have enough words to describe how amazing Meg is! I found Meg through Instagram and immediately sent an inquiry. She responded very quickly and thank goodness she had my wedding date available, because I was set on her. She was extremely communicative between the time I booked and my wedding. I unfortunately had a hormonal breakthrough out the weeks leading up to my wedding (stress, am I right?) but I knew I had nothing to worry about because Meg can fix anything! Meg covered all my blemishes and made me feel like a beautiful bride!! I also had a bridesmaid say that she never looks forward to getting her make up done when she is a bridesmaid because it doesn’t look good. Meg is the ONLY make up artist that has made her feel beautiful by taking the time to match skin colors and use products/colors that enhance and compliment each girls features. I cannot recommend Meg enough! -

Everyone’s fav!
If I could give Molly and Taylor 100 stars, that still wouldn’t be enough. Molly was my artist and I feel like she truly listened to me and gave me the exact look I wanted. I had other artists do my makeup and it was nice, BUT I always looked like someone else. When Molly did my makeup, I felt and looked like myself and it was beyond perfect. My makeup lasted ALL day and didn’t feel bothersome or annoying.
I ended up having an additional person and Molly rolled with it; her professionalism is beyond incredible and even though it was my fault, she made it work.
My bridesmaids absolutely loved their makeup as well, and I would say the same comment about how long lasting theirs was also.
I cannot recommend Molly ENOUGH. This whole company is fantastic and you truly get what you pay for, and more because they have the best personalities. ♡ -

Meg is an amazing artist who can make any vision of glam you’d like to see, come to life. She not only does absolutely stunning make up, she is genuine, professional, kind, funny, and I felt like I knew her my whole life. The best makeup artists for any style you could want!
Let me be absolutely clear: no matter what style of makeup you’re after, Molly’s chair is the one you want to be in. I found Molly’s Instagram page while searching for makeup artists for my upcoming wedding. The first thing that stood out to me is her gorgeously skin-focused looks. My undertones are such that many foundations shades look like mustard on me. As I scrolled through her photos, I saw client after client with flawless, natural looking skin. I polled several bridesmaids with unanimous results: Molly was our gal.
I had the pleasure of meeting Molly when we had our makeup trial. She is a fantastic person, funny, sweet, and very down to earth. She’s the perfect mix of relaxed and focus, exactly what you need on one of the biggest days of your life. When she handed me the mirror, I was blown away. The look was stunning. The eye makeup was meticulously blended, making my eyes stand out. All parts of the look complimented each other. At the time, the only thing I wanted to change was the lip color to a more natural shade. When I relayed this to Molly, I was delighted that she was open and happy for the feedback, asking follow up questions to ensure we were on the same page. And the day of my wedding, absolutely everything, down to the lip shade, was perfect beyond words. If you communicate your aims and wishes, Molly will make it happen.
My bridesmaids were equally enchanted by Molly and Meg. I had initially been concerned about finding a good fit for my bridal party, as many of them wear little to no makeup at all, and certainly not the more glamorous looks that often come with wedding styles (and makeup was entirely opt in— I would never make anyone wear makeup!) When almost of all of them opted-in for makeup, I knew they would love their looks. And they did— every bridesmaid who had their makeup done approached me to say how much they loved their looks. People said they felt like themselves, just the most beautiful version of themselves, which is the best thing I could have asked for.
Perhaps the greatest endorsement of all— one of my bridesmaid told me that her husband had remarked “Wow, I really like your makeup.”
Let me tell you what a strong statement that is. I’ve know this guy for over a decade, and nobody has more disdain for makeup that he does. This is a guy who thinks a swipe of mascara and chapstick is “too much.” If he really liked our looks, you’re going to love them. -

I found Meg on Instagram and am so happy I did! All of the looks on there are so well done, and I appreciate that it's not the same exact look for every person. The trial was great, and Meg was happy to take feedback and make any recommendations for things that could change on the day of the wedding. Come the day of the wedding, I was so excited for all of my girls to get their makeup done! Everyone loved their looks and had a good time getting their makeup done too. I wanted to make some minor changes to my look, and Meg was open to that and really helpful! It's also worth noting that I essentially sobbed throughout my entire ceremony and my makeup still looked flawless all day and through the night (photo is right after the ceremony)! And as a bonus, the touch up kit she gives you is really nice! The way Meg executes looks and the detail she puts in is hard to top!! -

Best choice ever!
Where do I begin... I can't imagine my wedding day without Meg! Ever since our first conversation she was extremely friendly and responsive. We had a great trial and she really brought my vision to life. Meg is seriously so talented and made me feel like the most gorgeous bride. My bridesmaids were also very happy. Most of them don't wear a ton of makeup and Meg did the PERFECT job of making each girl look drop dead gorgeous with a very natural-glam look. Beyond the makeup - I really, really loved and appreciated her calm, fun, energy. Many of my bridesmaids said that the getting ready process was the most chill of any weddings they had been in and it really set the tone for the rest of the day! Meg is truly the best. She is so fun and funny. Meg + Molly did an incredible job doing my makeup (bride) and the makeup of 6 bridesmaids, 1 mom, and 3 flower girls. As a group that doesn't wear much makeup normally, Meg made us comfortable and the natural and natural glam results were incredible. We made some tweaks from trial to day-of makeup and I was obsessed with my makeup. It stayed on all day and night through the tears (early vs late pics included)! Hire Meg for your wedding ASAP! -

Best mua ever!
Meg is INCREDIBLE! Seriously if you are thinking about booking do it NOW or she will be booked because she is just. that. good. I searched and searched and searched for the perfect makeup artist who was skin focused but still made everything else look amazing and I can’t believe I finally found Meg!!! Gift from God. She took my skin focused expectation to a whole new level AND rocked the eyes. The most perfect makeup. Not only did it look perfect, it felt perfect. It didn’t feel like I had anything on. I also have super sensitive skin and I didn’t break out from the makeup.
Along with the makeup being perfect, so was the experience. From the trial to the wedding day Meg made me feel so comfortable. Her energy is fun and positive. She makes you feel like you’re hanging out with a friend. She’s really cool! You will love her!!
Her assistant, Molly is top of the line and SO sweet. Your girls (and yourself if Meg is booked) are in GREAT hands. She did such an incredible job!!! Molly also is so much fun and has great energy. They both make you feel so comfortable.
I’m sad the process is over. Might just have to have an anniversary wedding so I can use Meg and Molly again! -

Bridal and Wedding Party Make Up
Meg completely blew me and my girls away with how amazing our make up turned out and how beautiful we all felt. We got so many compliments all night on our glowing skin and eyes! I had a specific look I wanted to achieve and Meg helped me get all my Hollywood glam vibes I had been wanting and planned my whole look around. Even at midnight back at my hotel room my make up still looked flawless. Highly highly recommend Meg and her team for any and every make up need you have! -

As someone who loves makeup, I found it very intimidating trying to find the right person to do my makeup for my wedding day. When I found Meg, her work amazed me. It’s flawless. I had to book her! Meg followed through with all my expectations, and my makeup on the day of the wedding was even better. From someone who uses all the primers/setting sprays/etc. - my makeup lasted all night without me touching it with the products Meg uses. At the end of the night it still looked like Meg had just finished it. Meg is a real artist. I’d hire her over and over again. I got married in September and I have already had multiple friends who are getting married ask who did my makeup for the wedding, as they are interested in booking Meg. She is the real deal! I worked with Taylor from captivating complexion for my wedding in October and she was AMAZING! She was so sweet, down to earth, flexible, and easy to work with. She listened to your wants, gave suggestions, and overall made every single one of us feel incredibly beautiful. Many of the women in my bridal party hadn’t had professional makeup, and they all loved it! I blew a blood vessel in my eye the week of my wedding and Taylor made me feel confident and beautiful regardless. All I can say is WOW! Meg seriously hit it out of the park. She has such a great range. She did everything from full glam on me and another bridesmaid to mother of the bride makeup to very natural for a couple of the other bridesmaids. It was hard for me to trust another person to do my makeup, especially on such an important day, but I put all my faith in her and it seriously paid off. My makeup looked absolutely incredible and it stayed put all night. She is able to do literally whatever you are looking for. I asked for my eyes to pop, smooth skin, and lots of blush. She did a great job at the makeup trial but took it to a whole other level on the day of. DO NOT SKIP THE MAKEUP TRIAL. It helps her get a chance to get to know your face, what you are looking for, and make any adjustments on day of. I seriously cannot recommend her enough. BOOK HER NOW! -
