When you think about booking a caterer, you expect a decent quality but what these guys delivered was 5 star restaurant quality! Canvas Creations is a true hidden gem of the catering world, although they won't fly under the radar for long. Tender meats, perfect pastas and veggies that were fresh! Don't believe me? They do tastings. -

Would highly recommend Alton and his team. They were extremely professional and super flexible as we were planning our special day. The food was outstanding and our guests were all talking about it. Would hire 100% over! -

WOW! and I say this with excitment because there is no other word to describe it. Canvas Creations is by far the most caring, responsible and most professional company I have ever worked with. The food was perfectly seasoned and our guest are still talking about it till this day. I can't wait to renew my vows down the road because I will be calling Canvas Creations
Catering again. -

Not only did they show up 20 minutes before dinner was supposed to be served with the main entrée, they started serving out main entrée sides with the appetizers before dinner was even served and the owner could care less. This was the most awful experience I have ever witnessed and it was my wedding. I should have read the horrible reviews on Google first before deciding to hire these crooksCanvas Creations Catering LLC's reply:
This is slander at this point! Writing fake reviews is one thing but from the same person. Please provide proof to any of this you are claiming and we will refund your entire wedding. -

Onoro threaten to take legal action if you decide to leave an honest review about how horrible their company is. Not only do they make threats but they also come late to weddings, they came up 20 minutes before food was supposed to be served for dinner with the main entrée. That is completely you’re responsible, careless, and tacky. They refuse to compensate for their mistakes and blame you insteadCanvas Creations Catering LLC's reply:

Last year, I had a beautiful garden wedding, but my #1 regret was hiring Chef Alton to cater for us. I'll save you the trouble of reading thru my lengthy review of our disastrous experience–and going thru what I went thru with Canva Creations–by suggesting you look elsewhere and DO NOT hire this company!
But if you want to know why, here are the details...
When we hired Chef Alton, upon finding his company on The Knot site, we were under the impression that we were dealing with a professional that cared about his business, reputation, and food. We built a custom meal package with him and even had a tasting where he came to our home and served us what we selected for our menu.
The tasting was a great experience. Chef Alton accommodated me, my husband, my sister (who was his "Day Of" contact), my mom & grandma, and gave us the kind of experience we were hoping for. But fast forward a month later, the person we met at the tasting was nothing like the person I had dealt with the week of my wedding.
Two days before our wedding–and on the day of my Bridal Shower/Party–Chef Alton reaches out to me about having to cancel on us because he had contracted Covid and was in the hospital. (The attached pic is the proof he sent...) He offered to look for another catering company or give us a full refund.
I should have taken the refund.
Instead we allowed Chef Alton to still cater our wedding after telling him that hiring another company this late would cost us an additional $600. He said to forget about the cancellation, that he would come thru for us. He then asked me to send him our menu again. I did but at this point alarm bells were ringing. (It's two days before our wedding and you don't know what's on our menu?!?)
But in my desperation, I ignored all the red flags.
On the day of our wedding, Chef Alton and his crew arrive late. They are curt and dismissive of my wedding coordinator and sister (who again was the "Day Of" contact). They are not wearing masks (again pic included as proof), which we had discussed being a MUST after his Covid results (which he later claims he no longer had). Half of what was on our menu was not served at our wedding, and what was served was mediocre at best. (It was either undercooked, inedible, or cold.) The food was nothing like the tasting we'd had earlier with him. And to add insult, instead of the pre-cracked king crabs that we had paid extra for as part of our package, we ended up with stone crabs–a cheaper, smaller, and much harder crab to crack.
After our wedding, we contacted Chef Alton about all of these issues. We told him we thought it would be fair to receive a partial refund for the missing food items and poor quality service. But he ignored us and continues to do so. The fact that he totally made a mess of our wedding and refuses to acknowledge it is unacceptable. My 2nd regret is not posting this review sooner to save others the heartache of dealing with his company. -
